Team Lobster Interviews

We just arrived at Barney's Meathouse, the MMA facility housing Team Lobster, for some interviews.

Barnito
6vstjcdi.jpg

First off lets start with the Mustache, Thats pretty impressive how do you get that thing so Mustachalicious. Is it just Genetics?
Well, Douche, you just kinda have it or you don’t. The mustache is more than genetic facial hair, its an artistic representation of your soul. Also, I drink 4 raw eggs with dark beer every morning, it definetely helps getting the facial hair thicker.

Congrats on the big win today over Your Sweet Destruction. What exactly was the game plan for him?

Thanks. Destruction was a tough opponent, the striking game was pretty even. I’m a better grappler, I knew he wouldn’t try to wrestle me. It was just stand and bang and hope I could push the pace and play my game. My team was planning a third round KO, it didnt happen but its fine. The gameplay worked and I got the win.

Now you have a possible showdown with Sean Dickinson next, how do you feel about Main Eventing MADNESS 142 in a #1 Contender fight?

That’s what we’ve been working for. I want that belt, I want to face the best and Dickinson is a damn tough fighter. Our boxing coach, McSparr, fought him before and it was a slugfest. But that’s what you gotta do if you want to be a champ, right? Walk the walk, dance the dance, whatever it takes, whoever may come. We fought him before, we know his game and we will be ready this time.

Do you see any area you may need to work on during your next training camp?

I’m still young, still new at this sport, so, yes, I have lots of areas I need to work for the next fight. Any particular area or weakness, tho? Yes, we know some weakness that need to be covered, but can’t tell you that, right? Don’t want no nosy coach reading this and exploiting it against me!

Now let's jump to the early days of "El Senor Vorpal Kickasso" What brought you to a career in MMA?
It’s how we are. The mexican people is a very tough, hard, passionate, hard working, struggling people. We struggle to survive. And this instinct shows in the cage. Thats why he have so many great boxers with an unique style, the mexican way. I don’t think I had any other way of dealing with this inner, boiling rage. Fighting keeps me in check.

We are here at the Home of Team Lobster, Barney's Meathouse and we some of your training partners doing there thing. How has the Team been an asset to you?
This gym is great. This team is great. We have two top notch teachers, striking headmaster Boxing McSparr and BJJ genius Zé Jiurgite, along with all technique coaches, always clean and with great supplements and snacks machines. Recently, we received also some new fighters, to help the sparring sessions. We train tough, we train hard, the coaches know their stuff, and Zoidberg at our corner really gives us a good gameplan. I see great things coming.

Don Piano
show_der-rey-bolsonaro_B7FADFEA-42B1-402

Hello Don congrats on your last fight, one punch KO, how did you feel coming into the bout with Lukey Kline, and what preparation did your camp help with?
Hello DOuche, thanks and nice seeing you here. It felt damn good. I know the big boys all have some knockout power, but my hand is special. Its heavy, and if I touch, you sleep. I didnt even punch that hard, I was just trying to get the timing and measure the distance, but I was very happy with that strike and when it hits the button, its lights out.
We have GREAT strikers here, like Boxing McSparr and Sabotage Rex, so I was really well prepared. A tactic chess match? A huge volume fight, see who scores more with the judges? All out with power shots? I was prepared for everything, even the ground game. Jiurgite prepared me really well for this, and even tho Kline is a brown belt, I felt really good going to ground with him. I got a sweep, put myself in a dominant position and scored the round. I know people didn’t pay for a lay’n’pray, so I came back to the second round focused on striking.

We know you came from a loss to this fight. Did this have any impact and how relieved did you feel after the victory?
Being KO’d is not nice. I definetely felt some pressure. I’m not relieved cause there are so many great fighters in the HW category, I still have a long way to proving myself a force to be reckoned yet

Your back on track Mr. Piano we look forward to seeing you back in the Madness Cage real soon!

Sabotage Rex

d74fa649bbbb876e609c6d95ea0fc18d.jpg

Where here now with a quick shout out with Madness MW conteder Sabotage Rex. How are you feeling right now, after the biggest win off your career against a really game Ricardo Milos?
Ricardo is a brazillian beast. Did you take a look at his body, how built he is? He is a frickin greek god. And, as a fighter, he is special. Great skill, huge knock out power, a good corner... But I have a huge fist as well. Did you ever see a fist this big? Its fucking heavy. I knew it was a mater of whoever hits the other guy’s chin first. I tagged him first, and thats it. You know, I used to endure so much shit during my pornstar career, a little slugfest during a clinch is like breakfast. You cant beat pornstar cardio, baby.

I expect Big thigs from this kid, you got anything else to add Mr. Rex?
Don’t support piracy, buy my porn instead.

Ze Jiurgite

hqdefault.jpg

We can't come to the Meathouse and not have a few words with Ze Jiurgite the 20 year old grappling phenom.

You recently had a minor setback in your rising career in the CACC Grappling Organization, loosing your championship to Shanti Anatta. Do you hope to get another shot at him?
Hello, McBaggins. It is my pleasure to talk to you guys.

I don’t understand why people put me as an underdog against all these black belts, just because I am a BJJ brown belt. Its just a piece of cloth, it only covers the tip of the butt crack. You are responsible to make the rest of your ass secured, you know? And I think I was able to show that the last couple of fights. I did a great match against Rodrizinho, and I think I did everything right against Shanti. I was way ahead in the score and his neck is like steel. I tried to choke him a lot, but he just wouldn’t tap. At the end, he was able to snipe a submission and get the victory, but this things happens. I really look forward to roll with him again, but I think thats not where my matchmaking stands right now. I have this next fight against Rolf Ottke and I hope a rematch against Rodrizinho before I can think about the belt again. I hope Shanti keeps the belt until then.

Your next fight is in just 14 days how do you see this going?

We don’t have the same impact to the head as in MMA, nor do we punch or kick, so our injuries usually are not as important. We can have a much more intense competitive lifespan. It’s just normal business. Everybody knows the rear naked choke is my specialty and come well prepared for it, so I foresee a kimura win between the 8th to 12th minute of the fight, after I pressure him a bit and suck the will to fight out of his soul.

Your recently left your home in Bahia, Brazil to live in the US, how was that?
Well, the people is very different. They are more warm, receptive, happy, more... Malandro... It’s just different, and I miss it a lot. Also, the weather, the beaches... But it was the best thing I did. We had a very poor life there. I used to work for a shoes factory there. Do you know how cruel shoes factories are? I received no training, no protection equipment, and had to operate all those dangerous leather cutting machines for less than minimum wage. My kids had no food, no school... Jiu jitsu saved our lives, now my kids goes to great schools, they eat healthy, they have a future. No mater how hard this transition can be, there is no shit too hard to swallow a father won’t face for his family.

Lastly you seem to be a slick BJJ artist and a huge help with the rest of Team Lobster in the grappling department, who is the team looking in there BJJ learnings?

Yes, we have been facing some good jiu jitsu fighters in our MMA matches and I am just glad I can help the team to prepare. We have pure wrestlers, we have bjj white belts that started here already focusing on the MMA grappling, its such a diverse pool of techniques that it makes the training sessions really rich. Don Piano and Barnito have really great skills, I wouldn’t be surprised if they achieve a brown belt soon.

back to Barnito

The Madness Welterweight division is one of the most nasty Weight classes around, and Barnito Mustacho looks to be one of the Brightest. Do you have any last words for the rest of the division?
Lemme tell you something, pendejos. You try pulling out some crazy shit and get in my way, I stuff it up your ass and pull the fucking trigger until it goes Cli-ick. Nobode fucks witht he Moustache.

Ladies and Gentleman this has been another great Weekend report with Douche "It's shits and giggles until someone Giggles and shits' McBaggins!

What's up fight fans?

I'm your your stand in reporter Bobb Mogg

And this is your preview for Madness 41, Seran Vs Yun.

Coming from the Tinderbox of the 3000 capacity Hard Knocks Arena, Right here in Madness hometown territory of Montreal, Canada.

We have a Stacked Card to Get through tonight so let's delve straight in...

*(all fighters madness records in brackets.) *

Main Event:

Lightweight Bout

Seran V Yun,

"The Conjurer" Olyn Seran, 5-2 (all madness) has spent his entire career here and is really good all round mma artist, he's coming off a Tko loss, but this was a title fight against formidable champion Ryan Rodriguez, and he's one of the few fighters to take the champion past the first round. Before that he had reeled off 5 straight wins all being finished inside the distance, 3 Subs and 2 by Ko. He's not called the conjurer for no reason as he can weave his magic and finish a fight either on the feet or on the floor.

Zou Yun, 5-1 (1-0) is a tough veteran from China who's learned his craft on the island, All his wins have Come by way of knock out, and his only defeat was by decision. this will only be his second fight with madness but he's made himself right at home by winning his debut with a first round knock out.

Keys to Victory :

This should be a Humdinger of a main event with both fighters evenly matched in the stand up game. I think Seran needs to try and take advantage of his superior BJJ and take this to the ground asap, the trouble is, what Yun lacks in BJJ he more than makes up for with his Wonderful wrestling skills, so taking Yun down may prove tricky.

Co Main event :

Featherweight bout,

Sosa Vs Gardet,

Marcello "Hurricane" Sosa, 4-1-1,(3-1-1) Is a no nonsense Brawler who likes to get down and Dirty, Dishing out damage in the clinch, he's actually coming off a draw in his last bout, and although it didn't boost his digits in the win column, it certainly boosted his reputation with the fans, winning fight of the night honours for the second time in his career.

Sacha Gardet 7-0 Is another Dangerous fighter who has been spotted and scouted By Madness CEO Butch, This young Grappler is making his debut under the Madness Spotlights tonight, having come through the indie Qfc scene and then competing in last seasons Island competition. He is a lethal submission artist with 5 of his wins coming this way and 4 of them ending in the first round.

Keys to Victory:

I strongly suspect that this fight is going to be won or lost in the clinch. What makes this intriguing is the style clash here. Both fighters have Wonderful wrestling, so either fighter could be vulnerable. If Sosa Gets Taken down to the matt this fight could end quickly. If Gardet Gases out and struggles against Sosa's takedown defence then he's going to be potentially shipping some serious Damage and possibly get knocked out.

Postpone that trip to the toilet or bar while this fight is going down folk's...

Maincard :

Lightweight Bout

Kingstar Vs Morales

Pradak Kingstar 5-4 (5-3) Don't be deceived by the record, on first glance you could be forgiven for thinking Thai Native Pradak falls into the tough Journeyman category, but if you dig a little deeper into his profile, this young fighter has had a few setbacks in his relatively young mma career. After losing his first three fights, Kingstar split from his management team, since then he has joined the kwest stable, where he's turned his career around, his record is now an impressive 5-1 (4) by submission victories.

Hector Morales 4-2 (3-2)

Is coming off a two win heated Rivalry with fellow contender Magomedov, both wins were by way of convincing decision. With Morales Rocking his foe and had his Russian counterpart in all sorts of trouble in their Rematch. The tough Mexican relies on his fists and like many other legendary countrymen is an accomplished Boxer who has finished 50% of his by knock out.

Keys to Victory:

Although Kingstar is more than capable of holding his own in the stand up game, he hasn't shown the ability to carry knockout power in previous bouts, his strengths lie on the ground and I believe this is going to be a good old Striker versus Grappler contest.

May the best man win...

Maincard.

Heavyweight Bout,

Leifsson Vs Hands,

Leif "The Stand and Pray Viking" Leifsson. 6-2 (1-2) Is a Stocky Swedish Meatball of a Man. Standing at 5ft 6, he is on the short side for a heavyweight, but that hasn't seemed to hinder him in his mma career so far, he hits with the power of a demolition ball as all of his six wins have been won impressively by ko/tko.

Fish "The Stinky Sardine" Hands 6-2 (3-2) Has turned his career round in emphatic manner, after my last preview on him (madness 31) where he went off the rails, he's since checked himself into rehab for sex addiction, and his training team are overjoyed with his renewed sense of focus commitment in the gym, His last two victories have come in double quick time with two devastating knock out victories.

Keys to Victory:

Well our First battle between the big boys this evening should be a stand up thriller, both are knock out Artists, If you blink you could miss the Fireworks Fight Fans...

Maincard:

Bantamweight Bout,

Fork Vs Decimal,

Forky Fork 2-1 (2-0) This Solid young fighter has made a Great start to his fledgling career here at madness, going 2-0 both by way of knockout, he does have one submission loss, but he looks like a really well rounded fighter, his boxing and wrestling particularly stand out, he also has one of the best managers in the business with Ayib2.0 guiding him.

Dewey Decimal "system" 6-2 (5-2) Is a calculated customer in the cage, (excuse the pun) an exceptional mma student this fighter doesn't mind putting in the rounds, 4wins by unanimous decision and three by submission. He's going to be looking to school his opponent in the cage no matter where the fight unfolds.

Keys To Victory :

Our only bantamweight fight tonight, looks like a tough match up for Fork against a much more experienced fighter, he will be looking to stay on the outside and use his vastly superior boxing skills. Whereas Decimal should be looking to take this fight to the matt, as Forks only defeat has come by way of submission.

Preliminary Round up.

Lightweight bout,

Kai Kona 2-2 ( 2-1 )

vs

Johnny Winkleman 2-0

Kona is a stand up fighter who's not quite lived up to expectations so far, Undefeated Winkleman is however making his debut in the big leagues, will Kona take advantage of the situation or Will Winkleman hold his nerve and make a statement...

Welterweight bout.

Victor "Razer" Reznov 3-3 (2-3)

vs

Seemah "toe jam" Feet 1-1 (1-0)

These Two mid tier well rounded fighters need to get back on track and start climbing the Rankings. Clash of styles here where submission artist Reznov needs to stay away from Feets Lethal Muay Thai Kicks.

Welterweight bout,

Nate "BJJ" Gracie 2-3 (0-2)

vs

Andrey "Goro" Gorohov (0-1)

Both fighters have been underwhelming so far, and are still looking for their first victory here at Madness, but either of them can get their overall records back to 50/50 with a victory,

Magnuss "The Northern light" Gunnarsson 2-2 (1-2)

vs

John "Wild" Williams (0-2)

Both fighters are really good boxers, Gunnarsson does have the advantage of a more solid jujitsu background and both his wins have come by way of Submission, he can improve his overall record to 3-2 with another victory, Williams hasn't taken easier fights in the indies and jumped straight into the big league here at madness which you have to give him credit for. But he desperately needs a victory to get the monkey off his back, and a much needed morale boost.

Heavyweight bout

Og King Kong Sacred Saints Gang 1-2 (0-2)

vs

Boogie Mann 3-5 (0-4)

Our first bout of the evening brings us the first of two Heavyweight clashes tonight.

Both fighters really haven't transferred their amateur pedigree and victories in the indies (Qfc) over to the Professional Paid ranks, I can't put my finger on whether it's a lack of heart and desire, or just nerves from stepping up a level?? But the good news is one of them really should be picking up their first pro victory tonight.

Unless they manage to somehow draw...

Juodasis Vaiduoklis

“Having the hell beat out of me by a fellow alliance member isn’t exactly my primary choice of a party but, then again, this organization is called Madness for a very good reason! Saggy Dinglestomper, we pummeled each other for three rounds, and I was fortunate to catch you off guard with that head kick to end the fight. You know I have a great deal of respect for you and I know you’ll have an excellent career while representing YABAI very well! I am now slated to battle Quintet Tarantino, an undefeated and more experienced fighter. I welcome the challenge, especially since he’s a submission specialist. Tarantino, you have shown that you’re very capable in the cage and I very much look forward to seeing what I can do against a fighter of your caliber. See you on May 9th.”

Madness 43 The Pursuit - Event Review

Saturday's card was full of exciting match-ups, ranking shake ups, and fighters looking to make their bid for a shot at the crown! Welcome Madness fans to Madness 43 The Pursuit.

Standing in for the regular writers, I'm J.W. Hardman from across the street at HFC and even I'm a fan of Madness MMA! So lets jump right into last night's action, shall we?

In front of a sold out crowd at the Hard Knocks arena in Montreal, the fighters of the Madness roster were ready to go, and the crowd was amp'd up to see some action. The early cards helped hype up the crowd with some great finishes, the first four by (T)KO, and only two fights making it out of the first round all night! You have to admire the great finishes up and down this card.

Pinero Chai vs Jewel Diaz

In our main event of the evening, Jewel Diaz coming off a tough loss to Ryan Rodriguez in his last championship fight, snapping his 7 fight win streak, and 4th title fight within that span. Looking to bounce back, he had no easy opponent in Pinero Chai.

These two acted like this was a title fight and expected it to go the 5, but unforunately, we only had 3 rounds in this one. This fight was back and forth all three rounds. While Chai, as expected, was the more aggressive striker, Diaz was by far the dominant on the ground. There was no quite between these two warriors, and neither one was able to finish off the other.

The judges, like most of the crowed in attendance, were torn on who won the fight, and it showed in the results.

"Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.

Judge Yves DeLean scores the fight 29:28

Judge Steve Smith scores the fight 29:29

Judge Alec Ball scores the fight 28:29

The fight is ruled a draw!"

Great fight, but there will have to be another in the works down the road to settle this one. Give it up for both of these fighters, and I look forward to seeing these two face each other again one day. I have a feeling there will be a finish in that one...

Dro Qanar vs Jason Solo

In a fight with everything on the line, these two warriors stood in the cage with only one thought on their mind... destroy.. my... opponent... This co-main event had two fighters both riding momentum, and each with a quick finish in his thoughts.

That was exactly what was on Solo's mind looking for a quick takedown and finish. Unfortunately for solo, with equally as quick reflexes, Qanar locks in a quick triangle forcing the hapless Solo to tap out.

Not much else to say about a fight that only lasted 28 seconds. The wave of momentum Solo was riding in on was snapped before he could even think about what his second move was going to be.

Jaycen Solo spoke after the fight, saying 'Excellent job by my opponent. I look forward to learning from this experience and coming back a better fighter.'.

Congratulations to Qanar on another spectacular finish! (SotN)

Ivan Izquierdo vs Xmus Jaxon Flaxon Waxon

Our third fight of the evening takes place between two fighters jostling for position within the light heavyweight division. Almost in carbon copy fashion, this fight gave the fans an idea of what was to come between Qanar and Solo.

FJW (sorry, but i'm not typing that repeatedly.) shot in for a quick takedown, and after a few seconds, found himself at the mercy of a brilliant show of BJJ when Izquierdo was able to get an arm under FJW's chin, locking in a tight RNC. FJW was forced to tap out, or pass out, all in a matter of 43 seconds.

The fans loved it, Izquierdo loved it, and FJW will remember it as he goes back to train to bounce back. Great finish by Izquierdo who now looks ahead to see where he lands in the rankings after this fantastic finish.

Fritz Hammer vs Mr Large

In a super heavyweight fight between two accomplished fighters, both with proven ability standing and on the ground, a rumble was sure to be in store. Madness fans were on their feet, the arena was thumping, and the big boys were pumped and ready to throw down!

In one of the better fights of the night, these two giant men stood toe to toe and slugged it out. Blood was everywhere, these behemoths looked like vikings of old midst a war torn battlefield, the final two standing, but only one could walk away.

Large was the more aggressive, and more accurate striker. Hammer had no answer for his strikes, especially his kicks where he landed a combined 12 of 12 strikes to a combination of head, legs and body. Excellent display, Mr Large.

Eventually, Hammer was able to take the fight into the clinch, but was equally unable to capitalize as Large again was the more aggressive, acurate, and clearly dominate fighter in the clinch.

As the fight never made it to the ground, it was simply a matter of time before Mr Large turned off the lights for Hammer, only seconds before the bell to end the first round.

Excellent all around performance by Mr Large, a clearly dominating victory over a good opponent. Look out rumblers, Mr Large us moving on up the ladder!

Other fights this event:

Bane Darwin (W) vs Raykuza Maui KO (Punch) 4:32 Round 1.

Daaniel Teteny (W) vs Kojura Nakagawa Submission (Kimura) 1:57 Round 1.

Don Piano (W) vs Kolby Khaos TKO (Strikes) 4:10 Round 1.

Ando Fumiaki (W) vs Gabriel De Souza TKO (Cut) 3:55 Round 1.

Juodasis Vaiduoklis (W) vs Saggy Dinglestomper KO (Head Kick) 1:16 Round 3. (FotN)

Hardrefil Mikli (W) vs Alan Robinson TKO (Strikes) :27 Round 1. (KotN)

(Just a stand in for a friend under the weather.) Keep up the Madness!

Madness 44 Rodriguez vs Petrov Preview

The Lightweight Title will be on the line as Two as two vicious strikers meet at Madness 44. With all the Madness going on around the Globe this Saturday in Montreal will be Mad on a whole higher level. The fight Main Card is stacked and the card overall looks to be full of excitement. With so much happenings in the Madness Organization right now we must not forget about these almost Surreal event in store for us. Here are the following Preliminary bouts with some future contenders.

170 lbs Aingot Nofud vs Erik Axel

185 lbs Ciccio Lo Zizio vs Jaska Lahti

185 lbs Cayden Abner vs Marko Bakar

205 lbs Ramdin Bolsdeep vs Billy Herrington

135 lbs Demarcus Jackson vs Florisvaldo De Oliveira

Main Card

Welterweight

Lucien Lachance (5-4-0) vs Osloso Bizihwaeile (4-3-0)

Lucien: Lachance has had some tough luck in his last two bouts after dropping a Unanimous Decision to Sean Dickinson he then went on to get KO'd with just two seconds remaining in his last fight against Jaxon Stoner. The pride of Cheydinhal will not be forgotten though as he will look to get back to his winning ways.Lucien has fought in three "Fight of the Night" matches overall could we be in for another?

Osloso: Bizihwaeile is actually a returning fighter, as he made his Pro debut here at Madness MMA almost a year ago. Osloso is indeed a fierce boxer with Tannerite in his fists, in his 7 MMA fights not one has reached round two. Although he has been prone to submissions the power this Chadian born fighter posses in his fist gives you no option but to seek a takedown out of desperation.

Key to Victory: This will be a stern test for both fighters Osolo will need to keep his distance and rely on those fists of fury, while Lucien the more balanced fighter should pace himself to an early takedown where he can work his Jiu Jitsu.

Middleweight

Raimo Peltonen (2-0-0) vs Shamus Murphy (3-1-0)

Raimo: Though still very early in his pro career Raimo has managed a perfect 2-0 record here at MMMA. Both wins where 1rst round KO's and wins over very well managed fighters which has opened some eyes towards "Raivo". The Native of Forssa, Finland has a solid Boxing background and has managed to avoid the clinch and ground well.

Shamus: Irish born fighter known as "Half a Job" is fresh off a dominating performance over Bruce Jenkins where he finished his foe with a beautiful one punch KO in just 53 seconds. Shamus has been training hard at the Ice Cream Parlour located in New York which is owned by his manager Rocco Mediate.Murphy has just reached the top ten in the Mad MW division and i expect him to stop at nothing to hold his spot.

Key to Victory: This looks to be a tough one to call as both fighters have not shown much weakness yet aside from Murphy's lone defeat. I expect them both to keep this fight on the feet where Raimo looks to have the edge in Skills but you got to give Shamus and edge in experience for sure.

Super Heavyweight

Lord Sebastian Mountbatten Dillinger (4-3-0) vs Matt Curtis (5-2-0)

Lord Sebastian: hailing from Windsor, UK had a horrendous 1-3 start to his career, but has since won 3 straight fights all by impressive round one KO's. The 21 year old brit has found himself inside the top 5 rankings at 265+ now, so this fight is going to be very crucial if he wants to meet the ultimate goal of fighting Massive Wanker for his belt. Dillinger like many super heavy's is a striker with a killer instinct.

Matt: Curtis is a former Island fighter that has returned home to Canada to continue his path to greatness. "Big" Matt's debut was one he would like to take back as he found himself on the wrong end of the sword against Mr. Large whom TKO'd Curtis late in the opening round of their bout. Curtis finds himself in another striking duel this Saturday in Montreal and he has high hopes for a victory.

Key To Victory: The way Dillinger has been finishing guys as of late i expect nothing different from his game plan go in and try to tear his opponents head off. Curtis may very well be looking to do the same so end result the fans will be ecstatic.

Co-Main

Lightweight

Timo Bader (7-4-0) vs William Lati (9-4-0)

In are Co-Main event we will see former F&BE Lightweight Title challenger Timo Bader meet William Lati the former ACE FL Lightweight Champion.

Timo: This will be Timo's 3rd fight here as the German looks to move up into title contention and after his first round victory over Wyatt Measels he has to have high Morale heading into this fight. Bader's aggressive style has gotten him 7 first round KO's but has also could have very well been his deciding factor in his 4 losses. Timo looks to get himself in another title fight now with Madness MMA which a win here could very well put him in #1 contender fight next.

William: aka "Shake" is a native of Las Vegas, USA and a former ACE FL champ as stated not to mention a former Smash fighter who is searching for his first victory inside the Madness Cage. Lati fought are title challenger Radaslov Petrov in his debut here and was unfortunate that night but a win here and he will be right back at the top. Lati, much like Bader is a strike first think later type with all his wins coming by way of (T)KO.

Key to Victory: These two have so much in common and well they aim to bring the pain from start to finish with 7 "KO of the Night" performances between them should be no surprise that this is my Pick for KOTN. Note Lati was looking drained the last time i seen him and could play a factor in this bout.

Main Event

Lightweight Championship

*Champion* Ryan Rodriguez (6-2-0) vs *Challenger* Radoslav Petrov (6-1-0)

In the evenings Feature event the Lightweight title will be on the line as Ryan Rodriguez defend's his belt for the second time against his stiffest challenge yet.

Ryan: The champ hails from San Diego, Cali but trains at Seppe's gym in Helsinki, Finland. Rodriguez was once a teammate of Petrov in the Fury MMA Team but has since left and joined Team Maniatakos. His first fight under his new management did not go as planned as he was KO'd by former 155 champ Olyn Seran. After two straight KO Victories though Ryan got a shot at redemption when he meet Seran once again this time for the belt. The second fight with Seran he showed tremendous heart and determination as he was nearly finished once again, only to survive and finish Olyn in round two to capture his first MMA title. Next up he faced a red hot undefeated #1 contender in this fight he showed his great Take down Defense which forced his opponent to stand for the most part which was the doom for Jewel Diaz as Ryan notched yet another KO victory to his record.Rodriguez now 6-2 and the winner of four straight is looking to make some global notoriety with a win here.

Radoslav: The brother of Madness WW champ Vasil Petrov has been nothing less then Sensational as of late winning his first 6 fights inside the MAD cage. Not to mention the Bulgarian finished all six with strikes and earned himself 3 Performance bonuses. His fight against Hector Morales is still talked about today as he was tested for the first time but ultimately winning the fight with a late 3rd round TKO victory. Petrov then quickly disposed of his next to opponents Brandin Duncan, and Pradak Kingstar in the first rounds of those bouts. Radoslav was next booked in a #1 contender fight against William Lati at Madness 39 where he looked to send a statement to the rest of the division as he earned the victory and "KO of the Night" honors in that fight. Now he sets off to bring yet another Title to home to Fury MMA this Saturday Night!

Key to Victory: There is no doubt about it these are two solid fighters, who come from well known camps who indeed are very familiar with one another. Lets just say the champ has his hands full in this one but you cannot sleep on Rodriguez, not for a second. He has proven that adversity is no problem with his second fight with Olyn Seran that earned him the belt. That said the same can go for Petrov via his "Fight of the Year" war with Hector Morales. I wont leave a key to victory here as i am simply expecting the unexpected in this one. One thing is for sure though this fight will be the toughest fight for both fighters and another "Fight of the Year" caliber match is possible!

I hope you all enjoyed this preview as much as i will enjoy the Night of MADNESS!!!

Kon'nichiwa Fight fans, and just blatant Mad Mfers. I am Douche "Its not the Virus, i'm just allergic to Fuckwits" McBaggins and i am here to preview a awesome event, just for the Stoners! Madness Pot-Acolypse is set for 4/20 as we look to have another sold out event at Hard Knock's in Montreal. The card will be Co-Headlined by two awesome Heavyweight Fights that are sure to impress but lets not forget that there are three more Main card fights that could boost some fresh faces for there respected divisions. I will begin with a rundown of the Preliminary events.

265+ Clarence Frost vs Bulgin Dickrilla

205 Ko Van Den Born vs Basko Godwin

185 Tim Shamrock vs Jermaine Fizzelsticks

170 Joshua Styles vs Primo Volto

265+ Chris Columbus vs Christian Big B

Main Card

Featherweight bout

Roberto "Robocop" Solidic(3-3-0) #10 FW

vs

Bryan "Ferrari" Fury(3-3-0) #8 FW

Kicking things off we have a nice contrast in styles in the Featherweight Division as Roberto Solidic of Croatia will match up with the American Brian Fury. Solidic also known as "Robocop" had 3 fight win streak snapped in his last bought against Kron Gracie in which he lost by Submission. Roberto is a Muay Thai fighter with 2 out of three wins coming by way of TKO(Strikes). Bryan "Ferrari" Fury has recently won 2 straight fights, one by TKO and the other was an Armbar submission victory. Fury a BJJ Brown belt has finished all three of his victories 2 by submission.

Key to Victory. For Solidic he will try to keep the fight standing where he has a slight edge and though we have not seen much of his clinch as of late he may use it in this fight. Fury has decent striking but will probably want to get this fight to the ground at some point, i would expect him to be patient with the Takedown while testing his stand up against Roberto.

Lightweight bout

Miguel "Pitbull" Sandoval(5-4-0) #12 LW

vs

Vladimir Kosmanov(3-1-0) #11 LW

Moving to the Lightweight Division next for a fight between Mexican born Miguel Sandoval who is moving up a weight class as he battles the dangerous Russian fighter Vlady Kosmanov. Sandoval has fought some tough fighters at 145 including a win over Bryan Fury and after a bumpy 1-3 record in his last 4 fights looks to start fresh in his new division. Miguel is a well known wrestling phenom and i though i can not confirm may very well be the only Madness Fighter with a KO slam finish. Vladimir is also a Wrestling based fighter and prefers to Ground and pound his opponents to either make them tap or take a nap, the choice is there's. Kosmanov is 1-1 here at Madness MMA as he picked up his first victory early last month with a third round TKO(strikes) victory.

Key to Victory: Sandoval showed he has great endurance in his last fight and it really does make for a tough night for Vladimir in this one. Kosmanov should look into keeping this one on the feet as he seems to have a advantage there and Sandoval has struggled with KO losses in the past all be it against top competition.

Middleweight bout

Ikeda"Sugekix" Toshiyuki(4-1-0) #10 MW

vs

Sabotage Rex"Pussy Melter"(4-1-0) #11 MW

Are next bout will pit a couple MW fighters looking to climb that Rankings ladder as Ikeda Toshiyuki of Japan faces Sabotage Rex of the United States. Ikeda is currently ridding a four fight winning streak and all of them where finished in round one by Submission(3 Kimura's). The former F&BE 185er made quick work of his Madness Debut opponent Tim Shamrock last month finishing him with a Triangle just shy of the 2 minute mark in round 1. Meanwhile Sabotage is now 3-1 at MMMA and now on a 2 fight win streak himself. Rex was matched up with a very skilled Ricardo Milos last and after dropping the first round managed to pick up a TKO victory over Milos in the second round.

Key to Victory: There is always a case of Striker vs Grappler and for MAD Pot-Acolypse this fight surely fits the bill here. Rex is a solid striker with 3 (T)KO wins while Ikeda a BJJ Brown Belt with 4 sub wins as stated. Simple plans just who will be the one to implement them the best.

Co-Headliners

Heavyweight bout

Antonio Nagashima(7-2-0)

vs

Gregory Motts(7-1-0)

In the first Co-Headliner Heavyweight bout we will see Brazil's Antonio Nagashima face off with Germany's Gregory Motts. Nagashima has only lost twice in 9 MMA fights and they where against the current #1 and #2 contenders at Heavyweight. With that said Antonio is vastly improving his skills and with all 7 of his victories coming by way of finish this guy has a lot of potential in my eyes. Only a purple belt in BJJ he has managed to out-grapple his way to 4 Submission victories, but oh boy he has TKO's a true Dual Threat at HW. There is one thing we have learned about Island Fighters and that is don't ever count them out and Gregory Motts is a Prime example. This former Island beast has only one lose in his pro career against Ken Jiro current F&BE 26+ champion. Motts is a Sprawl and Brawler with 6 (T)KO victories under his belt.

Key to Victory: Antonio has recently had most his success using the clinch for his Takedowns, interesting because Motts loves the clinch and has done very well there. So yeah expect the clinch to be the deciding factor if not for a possible flash KO for either of these big guys.

Heavyweight bout

Juan Gallo(4-1-0)

vs

"The Mythic Dawn" Mankar Camoran(7-2-0)

Concluding this evenings blunt rollin, joint smoking, bowl firing bong fest we will see two more big bastards battle as Mexican Juan Gallo meets Mankar Camoran of well.... i still have know clue what planet these David Septim boys are from. Madness meets the Island again in are final contest as Islander Juan Gallo looks to improve to 2-0 here after his 3 minute beat down of John Smith less then a month ago. Gallo is an aggressive fighter with great striking abilities and he has the first round KO's to prove it. In the opposite corner Mankar is now 5-1 in his last 6 madness fights, his only loss was in the Finals of the HW title tournament to former champ Boris Krylov. "The Mythic Dawn" has only gone to one Decision in his career and that was against fello co-headliner Antonio Nagashima he has split his other victories by (T)KO and Submission all in the very first round.

Key to Victory: Both of the Co-Headliners have a lot of similarities in there key to victory, as this one pits the more balanced fighter in Camoran against a striker the caliber of Gallo. So fully expect the Banger in Gallo to try and keep this fight standing, he may also be very aggressive out the gates so i would expect Mankar to be very careful at the start of this one.

These Headliners look to have a lot riding on them as the HW division is always one of the funnest divisions with no lack of excitement. This event also leads into the next Heavyweight Championship fight between newly crowned champion Alex Ferreira and #1 contender Demir Kocak, so these guys will be looking to claim there spot as a future contender for sure.

That is all for today so be sure to tune in on 4/20 and if your at the event there will be plenty of Weed Vendors on hand, Illegally i might add, so maybe keep that on the DL> I am your host with the most Douche McBaggins signing off!!!

The event Madness 45 takes place this Saturday so it will depend of Ferriera's manager Marcus Crassius gets back in time. Kocak's manager Mac Little has already agreed to terms for his apparence.

And MAD 50 has just booked an Arena, i have two title fights in mind for that one. Lot's of MADNESS going on!

Stoner said "I've got mad respect for Petrov, he's a badass, plain and simple. This will be the toughest fight of my career, but I'm going to give it hell and leave it all out there in the cage. One of us will walk away with the gold, but both of us will walk away knowing we just put on a war in front of the fans. It's going to be a great!"

I have a feeling these two may see each other a few times in their career.

MAD 45 Presser with Alex Ferreira and Demir Kocak.

1585856929Mad%2045.png

Douche McBaggins is here to serve as organizer and hold the very cheap mic for the fighters, he looks a bit wasted as well.

Kocak's arrival

The challenger Demir Kocak arrives to the stage first as the audience cheers! It looks like a handful of Turkish fans are here to show there support for the Heavyweight."

Ferriera's Arrival

Now the champ walks on to the stage with the look of disgust on his face as he promptly gives his Opponent a quick fuck you.

Douche McBaggins opensthe conference:

"Hello everyone thanks for coming out for this Presser, lets begin the questions with are challenger Demir Kocak."

Reporter: Demir what was you first prefered style of fighting?

Demir.jpg

Demir: I was doing Muay Thai, but also watching MMA and started cross train some BJJ because of that. I had barely just begun proper MMA training when I had my first fight. That was crazy, it was supposed to be an amateur fight at first but in the same arena as an Empyrean event. But one of the main card fighters dropped out for some reason and they couldn't find a replacement. So they asked me and my opponent and we both said yes to go pro rules. So suddenly I was doing my debut on the same card as Ian Tower. And it didn't stop there, after the fight Alex K. offered me a spot on the team. Suddenly I was teammates with Tower and got to train with him.

Reporter: You started your pro Career with the Alex K Management team now

you have Mac Little in your corner, what was the reasoning for this?

Demir: Yeah, we were a few guys who jumped team all at once. Basically Ian Tower felt he needed something new, sort of a fresh start. Alex K. was totally cool with that and even recommended Mac. Alex always wanted the best for us fighters, so he said anyone want to leave there will be no hard feelings. I have a lot of respect for Ian, at that point he had taught me everything I knew of MMA. I wanted to stay with him. And by going to the Punch Out gym I would also get to train with Balder Bull who was coaching there. One of my idols growing up and watching the Budokai events, not to mention he is from my home city Istanbul. I knew all about him but had never met him in person. When I came over to Macs place he immediatly became my mentor and is now my second major influence besides Ian. So all respect to my previous manager Alex who I hold in very high regard, but for me the decision was a no-brainer.

Reporter: This will be your fourth Madness MMA fight how would you rank the champ amongst your last three opponents?

Demir: My last opponents were all from respectable teams, but challenging for the belt is another step up. Yes, Ferreria got a lot of boxing experience and have defended the title a couple of times so I expect a tough fight. But honestly, from all the sparring I had with Ian I know I can take him.

Reporter: Are MMA fighters like you targeted by criminal groups for recruitment?

Demir: You talking about what happened to Balder Bull in Tokyo of course..

I mean I know there is some shady business going on in this sport and Bull fell to the dark side for a while, but Mac knows his way around and I trust his judgement on who to get involved with.

Reporter: How important is this fight for you personally, winning the Madness HW title?

Demir: Important enough that I had an argument with balder Bull about it. Given what I just told you that should say something. I mean I have been doing MMA for 3 years now training full time with top level guys all this time. I have tons of respect for Bull, but telling me after all that I'm not ready yet? That I need to complete my training before going for the title. No way, I'm ready. I won't follow him to Dagobah for more basic drills, yes that's a small town in Turkey where he is currently based, basically nothing but a swamp.

Reporter: Where do you see Demir Kocak in 5 years?

Demir: In 5 years.. Ian Tower is 30 now, by then he has maybe taken a step back to focus on his coaching and polishing that belt cabinet of his. I will never fight him in the octagon, but I'm planning to be up there as the top HW fighter in the world using all he taught me and dominate this weight class. Yeah, you can quote that, I'm gonna be the next Ian Tower.

Reporter: Is there any final words for your opponent the Madness HW champ Alex Ferreira?

Demir: I feel the force, you gonna feel it too soon.

The attention then turned to Madness Heavyweight Champion Alex Ferriera who was caught snatching the Microphone from McBaggins and tells him to leave.

d.Alex_.jpg

Reporter: Your born in Sao Paulo, Brazil where you into the street fighting scene at all and did it contribute to the fighter you are now?

Alex: Dunno I’m from rich background so I ate well, trained with the best and just used street fighting to beat the shit out of poor people.

Reporter: I have heard you had an extensive Amateur Boxing career, what made you decide to jump to MMA and no Boxing?

Alex: Yeh boxing is great , love it but the gloves are too big, too padded, soon as I tried MMA mitts that was it, can really hurt some dude.

Reporter: How would you rate your performance against Former HW champ Boris Krylov?

Alex: Fuck me that guy can bleed - hard to say really as he’s shit.

Reporter: Would you consider Demir Kocak your toughest test to date, or even a test at all?

Alex: Probably my toughest fight, see what happens when he gets punched in the head. His record is good.

Reporter: You are a former S.A.F.O champ now Madness MMA HW champ do, what does the future hold for Alex Ferreira, more titles?

Alex: Future who knows - not been tested yet.

Reporter:. You and Demir are both Stand up fighters with good power, is there any chance the ground game will be brought in to the game plan?

Alex: This fight will stay standing ain’t no dry hump fighter.

Reporter: Last words for your challenger Demir Kocak?

Alex: Get private healthcare

The two fighters then have 10 second stare down, both men clinching there fist and gritting there teeth in anxiousness. Both fighters then take a pic and head there separate ways.
Alex_vs_Demir.jpg?width=400&height=267
Douche slowly crawls to the microphone and says "This one is gonna be lit, don't miss Madness 45!" as he then goes back to drinking his pint, already intoxicated as fuck!

this fight is flying way under the radar, but all the hardcore MMA fans will appreciate it- trilogy fight of Dewey Decimal vs BJJ Catcher Wrestler. Who would have thought there could be a trilogy at 350 already? going to be a fun one :)

Kahn vs Andrade III Madness LHW championship

Kahn is the people's champ.
