Congratz to Barney on his 6th consecutive succesful title defense! Zai now has a top 20 ranking, but will be looking for more with this kind of KO power. The second chapter of the rivalry between Druggs and Big Mouth ended the same as first, although Big Mouth lasted a bit longer this time. Who is left to take that title from Druggs?
Well first of all we still think Big Mouth has the skills to take on Druggs. The question is: does he still have the balls to try for a third time? Also there are two contenders on tonight's card. Druggs might want to take a close look at Camara vs Peireira.

Billy Wilson twitter: Hi guys I just signed with CMMA in the 205 pound division. This makes my third home and hopefully I have found a place to stay for a while. I look forward to this opportunity and know I will be going in against much more experienced competition than myself and looking to learn from you guys as I compete against you. Thank you Scottie and Dieselnoi for taking a chance on me.

Meanwhile in the 170 lbs division:  former champion of the WolfPac Fighting Alliance, Fudd making quite a name for  himself here at CMMA.  At the same time Cardozo is making his way through the ranks at the speed of light.

38w10.jpg Nikolai Tsavieva about his last fight:

  - Good job to Jason, great fighter. Oh man... 2 losses and then 6 wins and now, 5 looses in row... Hard for me to say something about anything. In my last fight I got Of the night award for getting beat the fuck up but I will do my best and try to come back. Maybe I will switch to another weight after my next fight.

35w3.jpg Mehdi Kanaani giving an interview after his last fight:

Rep - Nice win sir! 6 wins in row with this one, good to you. Now that you moved one weight up and fighted against a bigger opponent but you you dominated him and get the win, how? You fighted at 135 not some much time ago.

MK - Thanks very much. Yea, was a dominant one but not an easy one. This Patrick Mustonen has heavy bones and a strong head, I punched him so hard and after the first 2 rounds I sayed to my corner that this guy is made of stone. About my weight, I always was a bigger and stronger ''little guy'', I made greco-roman grappling from a young age, my shoulders are made of steel you know? Why to cut 2 weights when I can fight with natural weight here thanks to my coaches and my manager.

Rep - Are you ready for the belt sir?

MK - Here is a problem, everybody wants to fight for the belt but they don t work they ass there. I can fight all the time ofr the belt like any fighter from roaster, but where the hard work here?

Rep - Many of the fighter at 145 weight class still wants to fight you. You will come back at 145 or stay at 155?

MK - For now I am here, I sayed before when I asked for a move up a weight, I can comeback at 145 any time.

Rep - You fighted as a main event at your first in this organization, the fans will get you as a main event soon?

MK- I will make a call about htis one, I hope the California MMA owner and recruiter will hear me. Is about me and my former teammate from Olympic games Gholam Estili. I call him out in a main event and I ask to be the first 5 rounds main event for a non tytle bout. Me and this guy we know for a very long time, we were some how rivaly in out time and why not to give a nice one for the fans? We bot have cardio for days, he is an top ranked opponent. Is time for me to step in the top 5 no?

Rep - Good to know, any last words to share?

MK - Druggs and Rod De Minaur, keep your belts safe guys! We talk soon.

Patrik Mustonen gave his thoughts after losing to infamous Mehdi Kanaani tonight:

Patrik: Well fought, Mehdi. I did not expect it to be as mat heavy fight despite obvious wrestling credentials difference. Was looking for more aggressive full range "revenge" fight after I got uninamous decision against his team mate Nikolai Tsavieva. No can do. Congratulations.

However, after checking out Mehdi's recent fights against senior fighters, I gotta ask from Mr. Kanaani himself and the California MMA matchmaker:

Why so many back to back matches against elder fighters?

Just curious here. And sure, we old farts do give run for the younger money, but I think Mehdi Kanaani can do better than this. Why not given/taken true challenges from own age range and skillset? After all the wins and boisterous talk, a fighter should be challenged into harder walks also. Gholam Estili that was just called out is more that. Maybe matchmaker will put a true test course for all the upcoming 2021 fights and we can really see how tough cookie Mehdi really is. All the best for your journey, Mr. Kanaani!

What's next for me? Well, firstly, I gotta rest a full week. Mehdi, that young hotshot wrestling steamroller totally spent me on mat. After that I'm ready for whatever comes. I'm scrappy, durable and strong. Offer a fair and balanced fight and I'm 100% in.

Catch ya on the flipside!

-Patrik

Kjetil Olsen defeats Richard Rockefeller TKO (Strikes)

Mehdi Kanaani defeats Patrik Mustonen Decision (Unanimous)

Roberto Fabinho defeats Charles Murdock Decision (Split)

Sami Rantanen defeats Mr Hotspot TKO (Strikes)

Herb Green defeats Bison Jury Decision (Split)

Tory Hopkins defeats Mossimo Hardman Decision (Unanimous)

Mustafa Owens defeats Zoo Six TKO (Strikes)

Bjorn Olafsson defeats Barry McLean Decision (Unanimous)

Za Beast defeats Christopher Nibbs Decision (Unanimous)

Awards (Amount: $5000)

Fight of the night: Herb Green vs Bison Jury

KO of the night: Sami Rantanen

The jury had a tough night last night. They were called into action 6 times. The closest call had to be Green vs Jury. Both fighters never got into real problems. Jury was able to defend well on the ground, where Green obviously had the upper hand.

Luckily for the crowd, the main event did end up in bloodshed. Rockefeller the favorite, was lacking precision in his striking.  Olsen took advantage and came out on top.

35w3.jpg  155 contender Mehdi Kanaani was asked by a reporter this morning at the gym :

REP - How you see the next fight? Is the first time you fight in top 5 and you pretty look in shape and ready for war. There are some upcoming fights in the division, whats your opinion about them? You will fight for the title if you win this one? As the official rankings of CMMA you are nr. 3 at 155 and Gholam Estili is nr. the winner will sure move up to nr. 1 or nr. 2 and maybe will fight for the belt.

Name Rec Hype + Pop Form Weight P4P
C - Rod De Minaur  9-1-0

W,W,W,W,W 24 202
1 - Zee Land  9-3-0

W,W,W,W,W 51 473
2 - Da Lusen  5-3-0

W,W,W,L,L 77 652
3 - Mehdi Kanaani  9-3-0

W,W,W,W,W 87 747
4 - Gholam Estili   7-3-0

W,L,W,L,L 122 965
5 - Jian Zhao  6-3-0

W,L,W,L,W 198

1624

MK - We have here 6 fighters, 6 top fighters everything can happen. Chapion Rod is fighting nr. 2 Da lusen, very hard one. Da Lusen worked hard to get back from his first defeat with Jamal Adams and he has now 3 wins in row, former title challenger plus he is an OG of CMMA, is here from CMMA 26. They both have experience, hard one. Nr. 1 Zee Land has no fight offer, maybe we can not forget Jian Zhao, tough guy.

REP - What you say? Jian Zhao deserves a rematch with Zee Land after that split decision?

MK - Why not? If he wins is in top 5 because I don t think me and Gholam will make a draw so someone rank must go down. If they don t fight in a rematch I will be very happy to fight one of them before the title fight is finish. This is strict my opinion.

REP - About you and Gholam fight, both are from same country and people says that you are some kind of rivals some time ago. How you will go here?

MK - I will fight like in any fight of mine but I cannot say that is a an easy fight, is a very very balanced fight and why not? I think is the biggest fight of my career and I will do my best to win.

CMMA 95 RESULTS

Gus McCrae defeats John Carter KO (Punch)

Mental Warrior defeats Eric Barnes KO (Punch)

Zee Land defeats Ricky Youngblood KO (Head Kick)

Keith Seng defeats Keith Kenneth Ferkingstad Decision (Unanimous)

Sey La Vie defeats Rodney Farva KO (Head Kick)

Sausage Pizza defeats Gregor Saabo KO (Head Kick)

Roberto Vieira defeats Nikita Zutis TKO (Strikes)

Tit Titty defeats Jonas Majors TKO (Strikes)

Jihadi John defeats Vahid Azari KO (Punch)

Danny Chapman defeats Frank Lucas Iv Decision (Unanimous)

Awards (Amount: $5000)

Fight of the night: Sey La Vie vs Rodney Farva

KO of the night: Sausage Pizza

Word has gotten out that the jury that gives out the 'of the night awards', might be slightly partial towards head kick KO's. The fighters responded last night with an unprecedented number of three headkick KO's. A huge challenge for our jurrors.

Land's headkick was special in the sense that he is mostly known as a submission king, but this time he showed his class in a different way. Sey La Vie scored in headkick KO in a impressive row of 7 consecutive wins. But after much debate the KO of the night went to Sausage Pizza. Here at CMMA we respect it when a guy weighing in at 280 lbs lifts his leg to put his chin in the face of his opponent to close his windows. But if you are able to do that 7 times in 10 fights, and for the 4th consecutive time, we tip our hats to you Sir.

Other quick notes:

- McCrea is on his way back after losing the belt. Tavares will be watching him closely.

- Mental Warior reinstates himself as strong contender in the 170 lbs division.

- Zee Land has never lost under his current management. He'll be eyeballing that 155lbs belt currently held by Rod the Minaur.

- Tit Titty: still undefeated at CMMA.

Awards (Amount: $5000)

Fight of the night: Anzor Dankovich vs Big Bastard

KO of the night: Kenichi Misahawa

Sub of the night: Roel Yomero

Absolute mayhem here at CMMA 96 last night. Connolly keeps amazing us with his submissions. He is steadily taking out all the big strikers one by one.

In another top fight Farquharson came in as the favourite, but Zimmerman would have none of it. Zimmerman is lining himself up as a strong contender amonst the lightheavyweights.

Also last night we welcomed two newcomers at CMMA: Misahawa and Longstaff. The fight was one long clinch.  Longstaff might have some work to there do because he was not able to score a single point against his opponent, where Misahawa's attempts where almost exclusively on target. We like the knee techniques, which reminded us a little bit of our younger days. Welcome boys, good show!

Awards (Amount: $5000)

Fight of the night: Alkyoneus Pallene vs Vsevolod Vorobyov

KO of the night: Liam Ghambe

Sub of the night: Toby Keith Yrkje

And we have a new Welterweight World Champion! Congratz to Xyel!

Wagner immediately got cut at the start of the fight, but he only got into real trouble when Mcwrestler took the fight to the ground. Alas for McWrestler, he could not make the GNP count, and there was no sign of the butt fingering that the eager audience was promissed beforehand. In round 2 McWrestler got caught with a head kick and it was all over from there. We expect that Dr. Zoidberg will be looking for some kind revenge after this.

Fight of the night was the first fight on the card. In an amazing come back Pallene wins by TKO, but only after almost gettting KO-ed himself. Nice show ladds.

The icing on the cake came in the form of sensational KO in the superheavyweight division. With a move so graceful that some said it was worthy of ‘swan lake’, the former champion Ghambe destroyed all aspirations of Mspomfad, at least for this fight.
