Flights would be death sentence for newer managers. Back in the days when flights were on, each city had 4+ orgs, so it was easy to have a new fighter fight in a local org and fly later in the career. Now, there're 2-3 orgs per ID range with 10 locations in the game, meaning a new manager either wins the lottery of setting base in the city that happens to have an id org for that id range, or he's fucked. Plus managing flights for 20 fighters would be royal pain in the ass for a very little benefit.

Defending a belt by it never being put on the line is hardly an achievement.
