So, I’ve literally been scrolling through 3 pages of non stop bickering and back n forth insults about the same freaking thing…not once have I come across anything remotely interesting in regards the the actually tourney that has now had what, 2 rounds of fights? No results, no up coming matchups. Like literally all I wanted to read about was my fighter winning his fight…but nooooooooooooo. Can’t even get my moment of glory!

You could always hype him up!

My guy just went back to training straight away rather than waste time with press conferences. Life's tough when you had the fastest finish out of anybody in the tournament in round 1.

A few good finishes from that day 2, Monkey's fighter being a couple of seconds behind my guy in finishing his opponent. Day 1 was a relative snorefest in comparison to Day 2. There I said it, and planted the seed. Day 1 aint the one. #Day2BestSquad

"I don't want to speak for Mike." -- To be honest, quite frankly you have been. For sure at least page 11-12 for him.

"I just love the fact you all keep coming after us for speaking up about it, while not saying dick to/about your guy. Does Teyo have pictures on you or something?" -- I'm not mad nor upset about you speaking on it, I'm a purist who believes the rules should be followed as stated, that being said, I think abstractly. So if its not declared plainly, its fair game. I speak of the timing, not the action. Because what good manager doesn't click the magnifying glass before accepting the fight. The rules stated that upon creation the fighter had to be 250-270, if the fighter didn't match the criteria of creation. Survey would say blow the whistle the moment you see that in the match, IF in fact you care THAT much about tourney creation rules being followed to the letter.

I told him to lose the weight in my bolded, TLDR; at the bottom of my post. That SHOULD'VE been done, good catch..good call. No excuse on that. Creation swap was allowed w/ a maneuver that might not have panned out but did. I don't see anything else I need to talk to him about. The actual banter back in forth is just all in good fun.

I hope we can drop this soon and I don't want to insult anyone but the whole creation thing is a bit suspect.  Someone correct me if I'm wrong.  If your alliance member has many spots available and creates a bunch of fighters to see which one has the best attributes..granite chin/etc. and then releases them and the lets you choose the best one.  Is that not an advantage compared to say someone who doesn't have that many spots available or alliance members to help and has to create one fighter at a time and then wait 15 days to release and create another one or in some cases pay for an extra slot.  This leads new members to believe this whole thing is setup.  I understand this was not laid out word by word in the rules but seems like common curtesy.  I expect this out of new members but not out of experienced managers that have been at this for years and know exactly how the game works and don't need every little advantage they can get no matter how small.  I get this is brought up rather late but not all of us are on here 24/7 checking weight/creation of other managers fighters.  Again, not the end of the world cause I'm winning this shit regardless.

Isn’t it a bigger advantage to have 4-8 slots to roll with then picking the best one? For the record the guy I picked up was NOT scotties best fighter of his pool, he was gifted to me so this tournament can function as it should. I have 1 slot and would’ve spent money releasing I didn’t have. We can all sit here and whine but if you played your cards right and had the slots to roll with it’s even game! Saklain is an alliance member of mine but to suggest something shotty is just an insult to his good reputable name and that’s preposterous. If there was any issue he would’ve stated it to me and if he didn’t want me to compete he would’ve told me that. He wanted to make it so the tournament was possible and im glad we did, we’re all just proving my point by saying “He picked the best fighter he had! It’s unfair!“. It was a clear matchup problem for the other coach and if he wanted the fight so bad he would’ve stated that he wanted me to lose the weight. In all honesty for the tournaments sake and because I’m not a beta who doesn’t back up his talk I would’ve let the show go on, fuck 10 pounds they’re heavyweight’s anyways fuck do I care? He sat on the offer for weeks in SILENCE and even Saklain reached out to him and SILENCE until the final bell and it was already too late. I hope this can end this little debate, because in the end of the day THE FIGHT WILL STILL HAPPEN. OCT 13TH, COACH TEYO IS GONNA DO EXACTLY WHAT HE WOULD’VE DONE EXCEPT ITLL BE A MONTH LATER FOR MIKEY’S SAKE. TUNE IN CRASH DUMMIES. ;)

SCOREBOARD

TEAM MIKEY C - 8 Wins

TEAM TEYO KEN - 5 Wins

ANALYSIS

Regardless of who wins between Mikey C and Teyo Ken on their highly anticipated fight on October 13th (get your tickets now, their running out fast), Mikey C will choose the matchups for Round 2. After Team Teyo Ken and Mikey C both got 3 wins on the first day of the tournament, Mikey C showed his leadership on Day 2 and his team won 5 times compared to 2 wins on Team Teyo Ken's side. Although Team Mikey C is in the lead and has the upper hand going into Round 2, don't count out on Team Teyo Ken yet as all it takes is one fighter to show that they are THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER and take out everyone from the tournament! Stay tuned for Round 2...

COACH MIKEY C Interview

Mixed Martial Arts Management - Mikey C

Blaze Media: Your team has gotten to a hot start in Round 1 as you guys are up 8-5 over Team Teyo Ken. Describe how it felt as the coach of your team to be able to be pull off all of those wins?

Mikey C : Really pleased with the results from Round 1 thus far. We have a lot of talented managers on our team, and it was great to see their hard work pay off on the big stage. Our fighters trained hard and showed how much they wanted to win. I'm excited to see how the matchups shake out in Round 2.

Blaze Media: Teyo Ken has called you out for ducking the fight vs him by saying that you mentioned the weight issue last minute in order to get more training time. What is your response to him?

Mikey C : My fighter was created on July 5. Teyo claimed his fighter off the free agent list on Aug. 22. That means he had six weeks to see that my fighter was a standup specialist and find a way to secure a grappler for himself. I'd say that cuts againt the spirit of a creation tournament. But hey, at least it will sell tickets! Oh and that reminds me, Blaze, let's get together and discuss working PPV points into my contract. I suspect there will be millions of buys on Oct. 13!

Blaze Media: Going into your fight vs Teyo Ken on October 13th, is there an added motivation of beating Teyo Ken after what he's been saying towards you and the whole weight controversy?

Mikey C : Naw, the motivation is the same. The coaches for any season of TUF will always want to pummel each other. That's the beauty of our sport! At the end of the day, this is all about Team Mikey C. I'd be thrilled if anyone from my squad gets crowned The Ultimate Fighter when everything is said and done.

COACH TEYO KEN Interview

Blaze Media: Your team had a good Day 1 of the First Round but Day 2 of the tournament was a dominant performance by Team Mikey C. What adjustments do you plan on making with your team in order to have a successful Round 2?

Teyo Ken: I feel like it just wasn’t our night, our preparation was solid and we put a lot of work in strategizing and making the right moves to succeed. They were just better on the night I’d say. Mikey C picks the matchups for next week and all we can do is focus on how we can negate that advantage. Extra preparation must go into our strategy. Respect to the Crash Dummy squad for getting it done though, but only one fighter can be Ultimate…

Blaze Media: The people want to know, why didn't you make the weight cut for the first fight?

Teyo Ken: Honestly, my training has been efficient and I was very excited for my first week fight going in with a high level of confidence. It completely slipped my mind that he was 280 pounds, I thought he was 270. I’ve already stated this on the record but if I were in his shoes the show would’ve gone on. No ten pounds, 20 pounds, 50 pounds will make me back out of a fight. Especially not one of this caliber.

Blaze Media: Mikey C and other managers have called you out for picking up a free agent to use for the tournament. Do you have anything to say to them?

Teyo Ken: My camp was completely full going into the tournament with nobody who was worthy of getting cut from the team. I get their arguments actually, how it’s unfair. Really think about it though, if you got 6 slots open in your team and roll every single one to get the best level of competitor you can… How is it any different then that? I didn’t even pick up Scott Bandz best project out of that haul. Just one to make the show go on, we all know why the finger is being pointed and we can dance around it all we’d like but it’s the training differential and matchup problem my guy poses. That’s all, but regardless the show must go on and without Teyo Ken in the competition Mikey C’s snooze fest ass would’ve made this season boring with another subpar boring manager. All respect behind that statement.

Blaze Media: Mikey C said there is no added motivation to beating you on October 13th. We know this rivalry is heated, what about you? Is there this added motivation on beating Mikey C?

Teyo Ken: I wouldn’t call it motivation, I’d say it adds excitement. It doesn’t make me WANT to beat him more, I’m just gonna have my own little parade when it goes my way. Never let him or his team forget about it, all the way until Team Teyo Ken takes home the ultimate fighter. I’m confident in every single one of my guys, and you can say I’ve been “talking trash” but real trash talk is the shit you can’t back up or take back. And they’ve been throwing a whole lot of cheating accusations my way and my teams way, and hell even the organizer of the tournament! It’s gonna be very consequential in the long run, and I’ll leave it at that.

Teyo Ken: For my final statement, I’d like to cut down Mikey C’s rumor that I intentionally picked up a grappler for the sole purpose of exploiting a matchup against him. I speak nothing but the truth when I say, I didn’t even know what kind of fighter Mikey C made or what hiddens he had or anything. 0 research, at the time I was on auto pilot working out a lot of life issues. (Something that some Mikey C meat riders don’t have, lives.) From the very start of the tournament I wanted a grappler and that can be backed up from screenshots before the creation date even took place. These guys will say whatever to shift blame but we will see in the end of the day who’s about the action they speak. Just a whole lot of unaccountability, if I was breaking any rules then Saklain would’ve told me he didn’t want me to compete. I followed all guidelines he told me, no escape the 13th. No escape, good luck Mikey’s Crash Dummies

i couldn't resist, Teyo said he followed the guidelines Saklain gave him but clearly they are different rules than the ones he gave every other participant in the tourney.

instead of taking it on the chin he kind of threw Saklain under the bus with that one in my opinion.

i'm sure the line to join his next creation tourney is massive!

YOU (or a friend) are required to CREATE (or pick up a f/a) from 250 - 270lbs (or any weight you want)

that should have been on the front of this forum thread.

Saklain can you confirm that you gave Teyo a different set of entry rules than the ones you gave to the other participants like he is suggesting?

that way Teyo can stop getting shade in his direction, because if that is true then all Teyo did is take advantage of a grey zone out of ignorance of what creation tourneys are like. we can then shift blame directly to the organiser for letting his alliance mate have an advantage in his tourney and we can let Teyo be.

The rules on the first page were enforced to ALL managers.

Teyo said he followed the guidelines you gave him bro but his fighter doesn't seem to fit the entry requirements you listed.

this is literally the first thing you said on this thread: ( i enlarged the bits his fighter doesn't fit so there is no misunderstanding)

YOU are required to CREATE a fighter from 250-270lbs, nothing more or less.
