Too often by the end of the year, people only remember what happened recently, so this will be a good thread to link the fights in the meantime. If you don't know what a FOTY is supposed to look like... look at those 2 fights. Don't put your 100% rating, 2 cheesers who went to a split decision. If we are talking about "impact, importance or anticipation", then without a doubt the biggest fight was Karim vs Kilo #1. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1071514 It took us 3-4 months of back and forth negotiations with Syn to get this fight to go down. This was #1 vs #2 at the time. Kilo was on one of the most legendary runs in MMA Tycoon history, a 16 fight win streak in the 265/265+ weight classes (not sure if ever this has happened, let alone in the SHW/HW division). Karim was on his own great run of 6 fights won in a row. Karim won the fight to become #1 in the game. There was a rematch after this, which Kilo won. It was kind of deflating because Karim lost in the first round of the Olympics, and Kilo won it. If they would of faced off in the finals of the Olympics and Kilo would of won, that would of been something special, that first round loss though, screwed things up because Karim went into that fight after a loss. https://www.mmatycoon.com/fightcommentary.php?FTID=1076611 The rematch revenge win for Kilo was great from a storyline prospective. I think it was #1 vs #6 going into the fight, but the first fight was bigger just because both were on those ridiculous winning streaks and Kilo is by far the best fighter in recent memory. Joosep rolling towards a pretty clear Decision winning arguably all rounds, but 4:59 seconds into the final round, head kick KO by Magomaevaboff.
