SYN 858

Hello Syn Fight fans! All the way from Japan this weekend we have an amazing night of fights that we get to witness and I can not wait. One being the highly anticipated rubber match and the other is for Team Panda Gold! The two welterweights square off in the main event for what is undoubtedly aimed to be one bloody war. The Co-main event sees the Lightweight Title on the line as Cole looks to get his seventh straight victory and avenge his loss against the current Champion, Reinikain! Lets get into it.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Artturi Reinikainen  Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - James Cole

(C) Reinikain vs. Cole (2)

155 lbs, Synchronicity

Lightweight Championship

Live from the Tokyo Bowl, in two days time the Lightweight Championship of the world will be on the line as two best lightweights in the world go head to head in what is actually their rubber match. These two phenoms first met back in Skrap Fights 64 and then met a second time at Skrap Fights 94. In their first matchup, we saw a heavy one sided victory for Reinikain who scored his way to victory with his punches in bunches. 30 Skrap events later, they met for a rematch that to this day is a heated topic to bring up. Both fighters feel strongly that they deserved the win that night and neither received that from the judges. Finally, in a five round fight after over two years since the last time they met, they come face to face and for the most coveted piece of hardware around, Syn Silver.

Riding high on a six fight win streak, finishing four of his opponents in the very first round, it would not be a surprise if we see Cole come out as the aggressor looking for an emphatic stamp of victory over Reinikain. The chances of that do seem slim as we have only seen Reinikain go down once before by knockout by one of the most hellacious head kicks I have ever seen. James "Clubber" Cole will have to play this fight smart knowing that what goes down this weekend is not likely to end in the first round but rather go all five rounds. In his last match, Cole took on Mazziotti, the former Syn Champion and went all five rounds with him. The fight stayed on the feet the entire time and we witnessed one of the biggest beatdowns we have ever seen. Cole is one hundred percent the real deal.

Reinikain knows deep down that he has the ability to defeat Cole, he has done it once before and arguably had done it twice. Reinikain has a tendency to prefer fights going the distance against his opponents and may very well look to take this fight all five rounds as well to defeat Cole in every round and put an end to the rivalry between these two. I went out to visit Reinikains camp and his Muay Thai trainer shared with me how Cole has been stopped before and that  Reinikain will not actually be looking for a five round war rather he will look to stop him with a barrage of strikes. As i watched him work the bag his team continued shouting at him that he was the champ and hyping him up with each strike he landed. For me, I understood one thing from that and that's Reinikain will be throwing an obscene amount of strikes at Clubber.

This Championship grudge match has all the makings of a classic. They will both go in there and strike till the other falls. Expect everything from head kicks to body punches. Expect the clinch game to be a massive factor. This fight will be all around the cage and in my opinion neither of these two dogs will let up until the referee informs them the fifth round has come.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dylan Peterson Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dany Crosby

(1) Peterson vs. Crosby (2)

Welterweight Matchup

Dylan Peterson vs Dany Crosby is one of those matchups that as fight fans, we have been waiting for, for a very long time. The two Team Panda alliance members will be coming face to face in a showdown that will undoubtedly be electrifying. Despite losing to Herb Krison recently, Dylan Peterson has been looking better than ever in his career putting on exciting fights and getting the win when it was needed most. His upcoming opponent, Dany Crosby, the former two division champion, has not seen his return to glory for a while now. In fact, some critics are wondering if the 39 year old from Ottawa still has it in him to compete.

Once praised for his sensational knockouts, Dany Crosby who has finished 30 of his 32 wins by knockout, has not been as consistent as of late. I decided to meet up with Crosby and see where his mind was at in this stage of his career. He shared with me that despite being good friends with Peterson, a fellow Canadian, this fight is purely business. He aims to step in there and get the job done and if that means walking away with a knockout then that is what it means. He promised that no matter if he won or lost that Peterson will remain his friend and they will continue to strive for greatness.

On my way home from meeting with one of the Syn Goats, I decided to call up Peterson. I spoke with him a little about hockey because he really likes hockey but then he shared with me that he has always looked up to Crosby and that in a strange way this match is kind of like a dream. He believes this fight will be a 5 round war and both guys will at some point be rocked.

When comparing these two talented fighters one thing is clear, this fight will stay on the feet. I do not expect we will see much grappling in any form and I think both fighters will be having the weight of the world on their shoulders. Team Panda has two of the very best welterweights colliding and despite what the odds makers may think, this fight could very easily go either way.

SYN 859

1638639829SYN-859.gif

Kilo. Girard. Williams.

All on the same card. All on one night.

Ladies and gentleman, SYN....859!

From Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the 93 thousand gigantic arena comes one of the most fantastic cards in all of Synchronicity history! Three Champions will defend their belt including the fan favorite and pound for pound king, Kilo "BloodBath" Maluga! I cant wait any longer to get into this one so without further ado, lets get into it!

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Kilo Maluga Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Vunipola Veainu

KILO MALUGA vs Vunipola Veainu

265 lbs, Synchronicity

Heavyweight Championship

Kilo "bloodbath" Maluga aims to get his tenth straight win in the SYN cage Sunday night as he takes on former IXF and Highland Champion, Heavyweight Island Sensation, Vunipola Veainu! The 26 year old from Tonga is a living, breathing, highlight reel. With each of his wins ending in by way of knockout, the giant from Nuukalofa only knows one way to fight, kill. For a long time his manager Alfredo Gonzalez has been aiming to get him signed to Syn and to take on the GOAT that is Bloodbath as he truly believes that the Nuukalofa native has the power to end the reign of the king. I reached out to Alfredo earlier this week and asked him about his thoughts on the coming matchup with him, unfortunately I did not realize he spoke English so I was left baffled. Thankfully I had it recorded and I believe what I picked up from the message was something of the following:

"Uso ropa de mujer para los buenos momentos con Vunipola" Which directly translated too, I believe Vunipola will have a good moment in the cage with Kilo. I then asked, how do you believe he wins this fight against Vunipola which he carefully responded by stating, "Cuando uno usa ropa de mujer, debe mirarse al espejo." A beautiful message about looking in the mirror and knowing yourself before battling someone dangerous. I asked him for any closing thoughts and he simply said, "Tambien te gusta Usar ropa de mujer?" Which again roughly translated too, I would like to see him put him on the ropes. I smiled and said, "Si mi amigo. Very much!" We laughed together and then went our separate ways.

I called up @Rambo and asked him, how does Bloodbath win this matchup? Should he be concerned with the power that Vunipola brings to the table? As we spoke and listened to the wisdom coming from the Floridians mouth I learned quite quickly how confident he was in his fighter. His black kimono and yellow crocks were the strangest ensemble i had ever seen. He pulled out a Japanese sword, a katana, and told me that like this katana which has killed many men, so will Kilo be to Vunipola on Sunday night. He placed it against my neck informing me that my head could be swiftly off my neck if he desired.

I am not entirely sure about either one of those strange situations that had occurred. So I played out the fight in my head. Sitting at the top of the arena i imagined what the spectacle would feel like. I closed my eyes and in my minds eye it played out like a move. I saw @Icon73 standing around pointing at various people, continually pointing at people. They would go to shake his hand, but he would instead point at them. The lights grew dim, @Augustus incredible video work would be shown overhead. The trailer for the three kings played until the lights fell dark and an image of Kilo facing off with Vunipola remained...Vunipola made his way to the stage only to stop halfway when the Sipi Tau began, Then several men who were with him began doing the war chant smacking their legs and sticking out their tongues...The adrenaline rushed through my body. The crowd went wild. The fire in their eyes as one of they own was preparing to go to war with the deadliest fighter in MMAT history was here and they believed he was going to bring honor back to Tonga. He went in the cage and the Pacific Islanders in the arena were chanting his name. Then the lights rushed to the other side of the arena. Jungle came on and out came the living legend, Kilo Maluga. The fans went wild. His eyes set on Vunipola as he made his way to the cage not once breaking his glare. Stepping inside the two met head on and a number of security stepped up to intervene. The fight was on. Two of the most dangerous heavyweights in the world, sensations in the mma world were set to face off in moments...I cant wait.

So, how does this fight play out? Most people are having the belief that Vunipola has no chance. The oddsmakers have placed Kilo somewhere between a -18,000 favorite and given Vunipola a +300 Underdog. To quote @Sprooch "You really sent this man to the guillotine!?" Is the feeling many are having about this upcoming matchup. And, to @clydebankblitz defense, he had nothing to do with this matchup? But is it really that big of a mismatch? I don't believe so.

Despite not having the adequate experience of Maluga or honestly the high level of skill in any area, we all know a fight can end with a single punch. Vunipola typically only has to land about 3-5 punches before we see a guy go limp. That sounds weird. In one particular fight, it took him 19 punches before he won his matchup by knockout and on the other side we have seen him knockout an opponent with just a single punch. This guy has hands of granite and if he can land one of those against the iron jaw of Kilo more than once, we may see the greatest upset in history. The reality is that no fight is ever guaranteed. The matchup between Kilo and Vunipola is a typical underdog story that fight fans crave! But if Kilo is careless or grows too confident, could we see Vunipola land a shot from downtown or even in the clinch and see Kilo crumble? Yes.

Despite being bigger in height and weight, Kilo Maluga does not and has never underestimated any of his opponents. In fact, the other day he was quoted as saying he was preparing for his toughest fight in his career. The fast finisher that is Vunipola deserves all the recognition in the world and against the GOAT you better believe he will be coming in guns blazing. Kilo on the other hand knows that not only will his legacy be tarnished but his morale may take such a dive that we may never see the same Kilo should he lose this fight. Vunipola may only have that big right hand but Kilo has the agility of a cat and a the defense of a castle. For Vunipola to land a single shot would be miraculous on itself but to drop or hurt may be too farfetched an idea to conceive.

So how does this fight play out? However Kilo wants. The expectation we all have is Kilo is going to ragdoll Vunipola and show why there are rankings and the reality that he is the King of the Jungle. Kilo BloodBath Maluga earned his nickname through fire and putting guys in the ICU for days. He is not to be toyed around with. I believe we see Maluga showcase a type of skill we have yet to see from him.

So, Vunipola, if you are listening or reading, you have nothing to lose and the world to gain. GO...FOR...BROKE.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Gaultier Girard Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Jean-Claude Marceau

Gaultier Girard vs Jean-Claude Marceau

265 lbs, Synchronicity

Middleweight Championship

Two middleweights who have been at the top of the Syn rankings for quite a while now have only met once before in a match that saw Girard truly outperform Marceau in every minute of the fight. Girard, who has since become the Middleweight Champion of Syn since their last meet a few years back, has been sensational against some of the very best the world has thrown at him. Now he takes center stage against an old opponent whom he confidently believes he will once again put down. His opponent, the talented Jean-Claude Marceau, is by all accounts the definition of a knockout artist. With 34 of his victories coming by way of knockout, is a pure surprise that this guy has not garnered a deeper reputation for being a KO award king. If this guy lands a shot on you, chances are you are going to curl up on the mat in minutes due to the barrage of shots he can safely land on you.

The two Parisians were once friends who trained together early on in their life had a falling out about which gym they should hang their hat at. Jean Claude went one way and Girard went another. The two never spoke again until they met at TGC 72. A fight that was stopped due to a cut. Friends of the two who flew out to Vegas to witness the fight claimed they watched a reserved Marceau, hesitant to hit his friend and a more aggressive Girard who had no love lost. There was no shaking of hands after the the fight was over and from there Girard signed with SYN where Marceau decided staying with TGC was the right move for him. Now years later the two meet once again as more advanced veterans of the sport where there is no sense of friendship or brotherhood anymore. I believe we will see the fight of the night between these two, an absolute war.

Both fighters will look to make this more of a kickboxing match with Girard likely being the more aggressive fighter utilizing diverse strikes where as Marceau will be aimed to get that one punch to put the lights out of his opponent at any second. Expect multitude of punches and multiple knockdowns. I dont see this fight being stopped this time around as both of these guys will want it too damn bad. No doubt, my pick for fight of the night!

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Wayne Williams Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Gemellus Axius

Wayne Williams vs Gemellus Axius

265 lbs, Synchronicity

Bantamweight Championship

Perhaps a fight that many will be anticipating most is the matchup between Williams and Axius. The two talented Bantamweight Strikers will look to come face to face in what will likely be a struggle until the fifth round. The bantamweight division is riddled with high profile strikers that aim to outland their opponents but truly no one does it better than Wayne Williams. In his last fight alone Williams landed about 145 punches to his opponents head. The accurate and aggressive warrior in the cage is quite confident that not only will he be able to do the same to Axius but that he can end the fight with a knockout finish.

His opponent in Gemellus Axius is not to be taken lightly by any account. With half of his wins coming by way of knockout, Axius knows how to get the job done. After having signed to new management he has seen two back to back victories and truly considers he has what it takes to put away the current champion and take home the belt. Axius, who throws much less than his opponent, will likely look to engage in the clinch game where he will mix up various punches in hopes of sending Williams crashing to the mat.

Despite both men finding themselves eager to end this fight early, do not count on it. This fight will go the distance with both men pouring their hearts out to get that belt. They are equal in so many ways from skill to stature. The two fighters have so much on the line for their Legacy and I would not be surprised if it went to a split decision. Get ready for fireworks with this one!

Leading MMA Analyst

This is the first fight in a long time where Kilo Maluga comes in with better skillset (this tells more about the quality of the opponent).

Even though he doesn't know how to fight, Vanimola Venu is capable of getting the stoppage due to Kilo's horrendeous weaknesses. I also hope that doctors have the balls to stop the fight to protect Kilo from possible life threatening infections.

Prediction: Vinu by TKO (Doctor Stoppage)

#1 P4P fighter Kilo "Bloodbath" Maluga added another knockout victory to his already impressive resume, but did his latest victory actually do more harm than good? Fighters, fans, and experts alike are split on their opinions.

For some, anything less than a 5 second KO was a victory for Kilo's opponent.

For others, they expected Kilo to put on a show for the fans.

Most expected Kilo to pay the standard blood tribute to the Just Bleed Gods, but for some casuals out there any strike Viopola was able to land was worth $1,000,000.

So when Viopola was able to hit the champ, not once, not twice, but three times?!?

The internet almost broke.

Kilo's next opponent is Odense Heavyweight Champion Zeta Knox, and older brother of previous opponent Yardbird Knox, who Kilo KO'd in the 2nd round.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Kilo Maluga Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Zeta Knox

Kilo Maluga vs Zeta Knox
265 lbs, Synchronicity

One week after his impeccable performance at Syn 859 in Los Angeles, Kilo "BloodBath" Maluga welcomes another champion in Zeta Knox, the Odense F.C. king but this time its in Tokyo! Internet trolls and casuals like myself, lost our minds when Vunipola was able to land multiple shots against the Champion of Champions and even cut him open with a single jab. Now, perhaps one of his most dangerous opponents to date in Zeta Knox.

Knox, the 35 year old from Canada, is considered one of the more ferocious fighters out there with 26 of his 31 wins coming by way of knockout. With a hellbent like focus of ending fights in the very first round, Knox will look to shock the world in a match were the oddsmakers have him sitting at a +245. I reached out to his coaches over in St. Petersburg to ask them what can we expect from Knox that we havent seen someone else try. Knox's coaches informed me that Knox is a true veteran of the sport and the bright lights of Syn will not make him grow feint of heart and the crowd chanting Kilos name will only push him to an epic state of mind with the intention of crushing Kilo.

Despite surviving arguably his toughest opponent to date in Vunipola, Kilo Maluga the Pirate from Kiribati, sets his sights on securing his eleventh straight win by defeating a third Heavyweight Champion rival in dominating fashion. Flying all the way to Tokyo Kilo fans are worried that he may not be ready for such a quick turnaround in fights and especially against one as dangerous as Knox. For Kilo, fighting in Tokyo is like fighting in his backyard. This is Kilos 8th time fighting in Tokyo, the place where he began his historic career so it is safe to assume that he will feel more comfortable fighting in Tokyo than anywhere else in the world and if that's true, I imagine we will see a very relaxed Kilo in there this weekend.

Buzz has recently had Kilo Trending. One fan put up a picture of Kilo dressed as Thanos and had multiple championship belts around his fingers with the caption: The Org Eater! Finding that quite disrespectful of his upcoming fight Knox put up his own photo reminding his fans and critics that even Thanos fell implying that this weekend the one who has destroyed all will himself fall.

Knox will likely look to employ his classical counter striking style as he has dropped his last two and arguably his last three opponents with beautiful counters that he carefully set up. Both fighters who are susceptible to bleeding should be hoping for a fantastic cornerman to be by their side for this one as the blood tribute will be paid. The Kilo style will likely see Knox be pressed up against the cage and multiple strikes be landed however, in his last outing we witnessed a ferocious beatdown and plethora of leg kicks utilized by Kilo!

This fight is by all accounts going to end in the first round. I don't expect either one of these guys to come out with any sort of hesitancy and both will look to land that killer shot and force their game plan on their opponent. So Saturday night, make sure you are ready for what will be a BLOCK BUSTER of a fight and probably secure the nomination of Kilo being considered the Fighter of 2021.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Badr Al Din Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Giuseppe Hopkins

Badr Al Din vs Giuseppe Hopkins
265 lbs, Synchronicity

What a fight this will be. Fight fans, this is what many are already considering to be the fight of the night! Badr Al Din, the recent champion of the LHW division who defeated the formidable Tong Po, not once but twice, now looks to make his second title defense and this time it will be against a guy who knows a thing or two about knockouts, Giuseppe Hopkins! The SFL Champion in Hopkins has finished 19 of his opponents and his last four wins have been jaw dropping to say the least. Hopkins taking on Al Din feels like the clash of two Monsters, a Godzilla vs King Kong matchup were the battle for supremacy could not be larger. The SYN vs the SFL!

Badr Al Din is known and loved by many of SYN fans and training alongside the MMATycoon Goat in Kilo, he has had a meteoric rise to stardom placing him at the #2 p4p list in the world. Al Din has a friendly rivalry with Kilo and the fight week video of them last week saw Al Din making jokes with Kilo claiming he will take the number one spot as they both looked to outwork each other in the gym. Al Din does not always score as early of knockouts as Kilo but he always looks for the knockout. With 18 of his 29 wins coming by knockout and even 5 by submission, Al Din is one of those fighters who genuinely aims to put to rest any argument of a judges decision. Despite not having that hellacious knockout power that Maluga has what Al Din does have is a very calculated output of strikes and holds hits with fists made of stone but the same could be said about his opponent in Hopkins.

In his last twelve fights, Hopkins suffered only one defeat and one draw. The others, sweet sweet victory the Light Heavyweight King of SFL looks to get one on his promoters fighter in taking out Al DIn in violent fashion and climb himself to that number 2 spot in the world. Capable of knocking almost anyone out, the 19 time knockout king truly feels he can be the eighth guy to put away the Tasmanian Jesus and do it quickly. Matching up against Al Din will see a very similar style of fighting where he believes he will have an edge in landing those hellacious shots. In two days we will really get to see if Hopkins, the 7th ranked fighter in the world, can actually do what his fans and coaches believe he is capable of doing and stomping out any argument that he is the best Light Heavyweight in the world.

Styles make fights. A fight i am expecting to be punishing for both fighters will have us on the edge of our seats anxiously awaiting the moment the referee pulls one of these two warriors off the other. Get your bets in now as this is undoubtedly going to be a fight to remember for years to come!

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Artturi Reinikainen Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dick Pawlik

Artturi Reinikainen vs Dick Pawlik
265 lbs, Synchronicity

First, before all else, my apologies on the misspelling of the name of Reinikainen. I am not the brightest person in the room but I am the best looking especially when standing next to the champion. Of course thats because this guy is used to going to war each and every fight! Riding high on a four fight win streak, the newly crowned champion looks to defend his title this weekend against an opponent many would prefer to avoid in Dick Pawlik.

Pawlik the submission star fighting out of Sydney looks to be the third person to submit Reinikainen in what will be a battle for the Light Weight championship of Syn like we havent seen before. Never having earned a Championship Belt in his life, Dick believes he has that it factor to not only put away Reinikainen but do so in a way that fight fans will be talking about for months to come. However, defeating the guy who is known to outwork his opponents time and time again will truly be something legendary and he will have to find that little bit of a push from his coaches to give him that boost of confidence to press forward each time these two engage.

After taking the title from Bathory, Reinikainen has been on a tear making his last two opponents look as though they belong in the B leagues. His relentless pace and forced pressure puts any contender in positions they are not used to experiencing. I connected with the coaches of Pawlik and asked them how do they expect to get him in shape for this matchup, they shared with me that Pawlik has been sparring featherweights who throw numerous shots aiming forcing him to stop covering up and land back. When Pawlik steps in with Reinikainen he will experience harder punches than that of the featherweights he has been working with but he will also be more apt to dodging more of those shots and landing his own.

This matchup will see two of the very best lightweights collide in a fast paced non stop brawl that will probably leave us speechless. I Fully expect this to go five rounds and have no belief that either will give up easily. I imagine the fighter with the heavier focus accuracy and aggression will probably take this one but then again at the stage who knows!

Zeta Knox is out to avenge his cousin-brother Yairbird's previous loss. The power in this division makes every fight tough. It only takes one mistake, you zig when you should zag, and bam, lights out. Game over man, game over.

But standard blood tribute must be paid and after that we will be looking to deploy a number of moves from the arsenal; the liver kick, the axe kick, the testicular sack-splitter, the superman punch, and the flying knee. Expect glorious violence. Win, lose, or draw - there will be blood.

Biggest concern leading up to fight? Rocking out to opponent's walkout song too much.

1350078714TajalDin.pngMixed Martial Arts Fighter - Giuseppe Hopkins

"Tasmanian Jesus" Badr al Din cements his position as the #2 P4P fighter today with a big knockout win over SFL Light Heavyweight champion Giuseppe Hopkins in a 4 round thriller. @joseppe

In the first round Hopkins drew first blood, but shortly after, he ate a kick to the liver that would have chopped a tree in two. Breathing heavy, he was struggling to cope with Badr's speed, and he was knocked down with a brutal combo just before the first round ended.

From there Hopkins operated on all heart, doing his best impression of the terminator, walking into a big right hand that dropped him almost immediately at the start of round 2. Badr had found his range and Hopkins was too tired to defend himself proper at this point.

But as the fight went on and Badr battered the challenger left, right, front, and center, it would seem like the excessive brain damage would pump life into the lethargic warrior, and Hopkins would show glimpses of what made him a world champ as he'd fire back and show some moxy.

In the 4th round Hopkins corner made a fatal mistake, they rubbed entirely way too much vaseline on his face, hoping Badr al Din's fists would start to bounce and slide off it instead of batter it. After an exchange, Hopkins tries to wipe vaseline off his face that was running into his eye. Badr al Din capitalized on this mishap and Mayweather'd his ass with a massive hook that finally turned off his lights.

Congratulations Badr, what are your immediate thoughts on the fight?

He's a bloody rock 'em sock 'em robot he is. A tough fuckin' cookie and bloody tough nut to crack. He's too tough for his own good if ya ask me, he's gonna be pissin' blood for weeks. To tell the truth, I was gettin' tired in there beatin' his ass. My coaches were worried he was rope-a-dopin' me!

It never seemed like he was really out of the fight, but your execution was flawless. Did anything surprise you?

No, he's a stepdad. They fight weird. Feel like he was just tryin' to kick me in the gizzard, and then come over the top and knock the block off with the other boot.

Is it true you were sparring this morning before your fight?

Yes. I knew Hopkins was a game opponent. I needed that extra boxing work. Work my 1-2's, my angles, get a little bit of live action with the best.

So you did some boxing sparring sessions before your fight? That seems careless. When you say get some "live action" with the "best" - who is the "best"?

Just my mates at the ole fight club.

Chris Steve  Boxing
Abubakar Camara  Boxing
Badr Al Din  Boxing
Mohammed Kahn  Boxing
Bong Ji Woo  Boxing
Marcello Sosa  Boxing
Ryoto Takahashi  Boxing
Zachary Klimenko  Boxing

Kahn gave me a run, he brings the heat, yeah, but I was beatin' the shit outta everybody else.

You and Mohammed Kahn are in the same weight class. Would you ever consider fighting?

No, that's dumb. I think he needs to focus on getting his belt back 'fore he thinks 'bout fightin' the ole Tasmanian Jesus, don't ya think? He just lost the belt to a fighter I put away twice, so, I don't think he's ready for this quite yet. Focus more on this and less on international terrorism and I think he'd be a world champ in no time.

What's next for you?

Who the fuck knows. Christmas time is comin' up. I think I legitimatized my spot as #2. Whymer's kicked my ass a couple times, that might be in the works. I'll be watchin' the GAMMA highlights for free on the tube later to see who wins the Light Heavy between Little Bunny and Rob Mac. Both these chumps got a dub on me when I was on the downslide. So maybe another go is in the books. Unify another title? @bazzypants @lotos

Fans and media alike were surprised to see Connor spectating SYN 860 from the front row of Tokyo Bowl this weekend !  SFL's HW Champ seemed to enjoy the event alongside his teammate and close friend ,  SPPS's LHW Champ , John Fury.

Lots of autographs were signed but no selfies were allowed and The Barbarian had this to say to the reporters after the event.

Billy Walker from ''The MMA Gazzette'' :  ''Connor what's your comment on Kilo's victory tonight ? ''

Connor : '' It was boring and one sided . Knox went down as fast as the Turkish economy. It's about time Kishion Mathew stops feeding Kilo overweight Polynesian bouncers and low skill Canadian celebrities. ''

Yuto Shigatomo from the '' Banzai MMA Show'' :  '' Conno*(r) ,wou(ld) you conside(r) a supahfigh(t) offe(r) against Kilo in thah futah ? ''

Connor  : '' Damn son , you re killing me with this accent ... Are you asking me about a superfight again ? Well ,for the love of Crom , i ve told you about this a million times.... We ve faced each other 6 times , i ve had more physical contact with Kilo than my highschool girlfriend , BUT we will have to fight again in the future and find out who is the best HW of our time. ''

John Fury refused to comment on anything and was seen rocking a  t-shirt with a huge '' Fuck Jacob Parker" stamp on it.

"Yagoooooo. Let's fucking go."

#1 P4P fighter Kilo "Bloodbath" Maluga called out Yago Steve after he continued his impressive ways by dispatching the Odense MMA HW Champion Zeta Knox in less than a minute:

Maluga drops Knox with a straight right hand, right on the button! Maluga follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kilo Maluga!

Kilo usually pays the standard blood tribute to the Just Bleed Gods himself, but he didn't anticipate Knox to roll over so easily. He did however make sure Zeta paid the tribute with his own blood before putting him away with hammerfists 59 seconds into Round 1.

With this victory Kilo breaks the record for all time knockouts in Syn' organization, an impressive feat given his time with the org when in comparison to his counterparts on the all-time KO list.

Kilo barely broke a sweat and was later seen in Convicted Fight Club lifting weights, already preparing for his next title defense. Apparently, Kilo was still amped up from Zeta's walkout song: Bad Company by Five Finger Death Punch.

Killer Kidd
19-3-3
113 p4p

Wait what, I won a fight by stoppage and that even in the first round?! Wtf is going on?
Am I becoming a KO machine...?  All I know is that I'm coming for the top of the division, hard!

Kidd walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Shalit drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Kidd swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Shalit's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Killer Kidd!
Killer Kidd tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

SYN 862 BLACK CHRISTMAS

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Herb Krison Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dylan Peterson

(C) Krison vs Peterson (1)

205 lbs, Synchronicity

Welterweight Championship

Herb Krison versus Daniel Peterson is one of those fights that we need to see a second time. The two welterweight fighters will collide this weekend in a rematch that is sure to set the roof on fire. The high output of strikes that both of these guys tend to land will ensure that this fight will be explosive from start to finish.

After their last encounter, Herb Krison had scored a diverse range of attacks against Peterson doing more than enough to win 4 of the 5 rounds on the judges score cards. Unsatisfied that he did not get that fifth round under his name as he is been called a perfectionist by his teammates, he quickly asked for the rematch with one of the hottest prospects on the roster today, Dylan Peterson.

Petersons camp had informed me they believed the reason why Peterson lost the last fight is solely because they gave him a game plan that was never going to work. After going for 30 plus takedowns, we saw Peterson gas out and eat shot after shot. This time, they believe they have the secret sauce to get them the victory. A lot of footage has been shared with Peterson going over Krison and how he fought Duranto. From the certain head movements to the amount of feints that Krison makes, Petersons camp believes they have this guy completely figured out and that he will be put to sleep like Petersons last opponent.

Peterson took on former two division Dany Crosby and did the unthinkable in putting him to sleep in the very first round. The two Canadian friends immediately embraced and Crosby held his friends hand up for the fans to celebrate the younger fighter. Peterson promised he would exact revenge for the guy who derailed Crosbys success in their second meetup and thus ending the bid of nomination for Krison to win Fighter of the year.

From start to finish fight fans, expect nothing less than a war out there.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Cerberus Dionisy Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Don Bronson

(1) Dionisy vs Bronson (3)

Light Heavyweight Matchup

Two of Yabai's finest Light Heavyweights collide as the co-main event this weekend looking to push the other aside for a shot at the king, Badr Al Din! Despite being friends, Bronson is looking to get his rematch with Al Din where he believes the only reason why he lost is due to the cut. Dionisy on the other hand is truly hoping that he can get some wins under his belt and get another title shot he has desperately wanted.

Dionisy is the knockout artist celebrated by fans around the world. With the mere mention of his name multiple images flood back to his many knockouts throughout his Syn Career. The one punch knockout of Jack Number in just 90 seconds of their bout or the time he sent Jeremy Jones crashing to the mat and rushed into finish him with a multitude of strikes. His fearsome knockout power is stuff of legend and in facing Bronson it may be something he wont be able to rely on.

Don Bronson has never been knocked out before. He has two tko losses on his career strictly due to cuts, but he has never been put out on the canvas. In fact if I am correct, he has actually never been knocked down either. I will fact check this later and let you know if I am right. So when facing a terrifying striker such as Dionisy, he wont be scared to eat the shots as so many others have been in the past and instead will walk in throwing shots at the same time as his opponent.

Bronson, who is celebrated for his martial arts expertise has defeated some of talented strikers such as Van Buren and Terranova. In facing Dionisy we can expect a multitude of strikes to be thrown but with careful precision. One slip up and we can see Bronson crash to the mat like so many others. This matchup is one that I believe will take fight of the night personally and between two good friends, you know its going to be a great contest.

Synchronicity

SYN 864

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Dick Pawlik Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Artturi Reinikainen

(c) Pawlik vs Reinikainen (2)

155 lbs, Synchronicity

Lightweight Championship

Late Saturday night, after their first fight, @Iconic awoke to multiple phone calls from family and friends all claiming that the former champion A. Reinikainen deserved a rematch. That everyone knew he did not look like himself out there and in fairness deserved a shot of redemption. Disregarding some of those initial conversations the next morning he awoke to one text message which informed him to turn on the news where once he did he found himself utterly surprised by the protests taking place outside of the Synchronicity offices.  Reinikainen fans felt robbed by their fighter and from SYN because the guy did not look anything like himself. They chanted, "We want a rematch!" After several hours of this back and forth of security and the massive number of protestors @Icon73 stood before them and delivered a beautiful simple speech reimagined here:

"Beautiful fans of the bloodlust that is MMA. You will get your rematch on Christmas Day!"

Immediately, he walked off the Mercedes parked at the headquarters and strolled inside calling Reinikainen and told him to be ready in a week. Then he called Pawlik, Thicc Dick as he is known in the streets, and Pawlik had no qualms believing that it wasn't that Reinikainen was bad, its that Pawlik was that much better.

The fight that took place last Saturday was one where most of us were caught off guard by the strange simplicity of Pawliks ease in capturing the title. Altogether he avoided eight of the nine strikes thrown by the former champ and landed three of his own, took him down, and on his very first attempt, submitted him. The crowd was stunned the announcers were stunned. It did not even look like Reinikainen was a champion by how easily Thicc Dick came at him.

One week time to prepare for another fight may be quite the challenge for Reinikainen but if he is the champion, we know he is than he will search himself deep down and find the inner fin fighter we know him to be. Fight fans will expect a motivated former champion coming to grab Dick and yank him around the cage. One Reinikainen fan shared with me how he thinks Reinkainen will make this bout real hard for Dick due to his variety of expertise.

Thicc Dick, now the champion of SYN has no plans to surrender the title. The Red Belt in BJJ knows that one submission attempt was able to do the job. He succeeded on his second takedown and now he will look to do it a second time and solidify his status as the Champion of the world!

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Gary Sparxx Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Yardbird Knox

(4) Sparxx vs Knox (2)

Heavyweight Matchup

I am not entirely sure why I get Dr. Suess vibes from this main event matchup. Sparxx vs Knox will be an absolute surge of excitement this weekend. The two heavy hitters at the top of the division will be looking to put the other out before the halfway point of the first round. Between the two of them there are over thirty first round finishes in the very first round and combined have over 40 knockout wins against their 65 opponents. These two strikers are the core definition of dangerous looking to land that one single shot that puts you asleep while having no fear of pressing forward the entire time.

After having lost to Kilo Maluga we saw Gary Sparxx slump down a little and a cloud of curiosity about his future loomed over him. Would his current manager surrender him up to the free agency like the several managers before him, or would they push through together in hopes of achieving something great. The two would eventually stick together and Sparxx would return to his winning ways by decimating his two most recent opponents. One he landed a head kick from hell and the other a punch that looked like it was going to go through the skull of his opponent. Now, knowing he is just a couple fights away from a title shot, will look to put Knox out in devastating fashion and eventually get that redemption shot for the title.

Yardbird Knox was on a five-fight win streak himself prior to him sinking to the weight of Kilos punches. Many fight fans believe that Knox is destined to become the SYN champion but at the cost of going through Kilo, that may be too high. Working himself up the rankings does not seem to be that difficult for Yardbird as he continues to impress fight fans with his ability to wreck whomever they put before him. Now approaching his thirty first career fight, the fighter from Canada will be meeting one of his toughest competitors and putting Sparxx away could see him potentially regain that title shot he has desperately longed for.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Marcello Sosa Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Ryan Rodriguez

(5) Sosa vs Rodriguez (4)

Featherweight Matchup

#SosaSeason is back and in full swing as Marcello Sosa looks to clash with one of England's toughest, South Hamptons own, Ryan Rodriguez! Marcello Sosa vs Ryan Rodriguez is my pick for fight of the week. The 28-year-old from Columbia who has been allegedly associated with the Cartel has seen a pressure from the Cartel about his recent performances. Rumors have circulated those threats have been sent to Sosas house informing him that he has lost mucho dinero for some very important people. Bullets placed in mailboxes and strange figures lurking around his gym have been a cause for great concern for Sosa.

The once pride of Columbia was the former Champion of HFC. He came to Synchronicity where on his first bout took the SYN title. Looking to defend it, raves of fans took to the streets where they clashed in peaceful protests about who would win that fight. After rocking Joy in the second he was looking to land the finishing blows where Joy landed a shot that made Sosa scream in agony. The fight then would go on until at the early moment of the fourth Joy landed a head kick from hell that saw Sosa collapse. This contest was one many fans were hoping to see a again but we have yet to see that come to fruition. Sosa, who suffered a miserable defeat to Dick Caunt in his last outing will look to regain his status as one of the top contenders in the world by shutting down Ryan Rodriguez in dominating fashion.

Ryan Rodriguez is by every measure a fighter's fighter. This guy goes in each time and looks to put his opponent out cold. Known for his high attention to detail of his opponents' abilities, Rodriguez capitalizes time and time again. When asked about #SosaSeason and its return he chuckled and replied, "Winters Coming." Obviously, a Game of Thrones reference but perhaps the idea that Sosa Season will be met with a cold harsh time. Rodriguez went on saying that "...unlike the fans of Sosa, the English fans always support their own, win or lose and that's what fuels his motivation going into this bout, knowing that he has the entirety of England on his side."

The two have gotten into brief altercation over a phone call presser the other day where they both started criticizing the other. Rodriguez, who is actually fluent in Spanish to our surprise shared with Sosa in his native language that he will be finishing him by the third round. Sosa fired back claiming that he has no idea what is in store for him come this weekend and that he is unlike other fighters he has faced so be ready for a full storm.

This matchup will be the definition of action packed from start to finish. There will be no room for mistakes as the other has the ability to end it with a moment's notice. For both these star-studded contenders this is do or die and both are willing to die in there.

SYN 865

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Kilo Maluga Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Yago Steve

(C) Maluga vs Steve (1)

Heavyweight Championship Title fight

Would you be surprised if I right here made the prediction that Yago Steve (19-3) would be the one to overthrow the highly popular figure known Bloodbath, Kilo Maluga (32-7). Is it a farfetched idea to hold that Steve has the it factor to not only take away the title from Kilo but do it in the most devastating way possible? Odds makers have it that to make any profit on Kilo you would have to bet $1,000 but Yago is at a +245, in essence, another Underdog may shock the world this weekend and this preview may help you to see why.

The Overthrower Yago Steve entered the SYN cage back in August. He shocked the audiences as he landed several shots against his first SYN opponent to put quickly put him to sleep. Critics claimed that it really was not that impressive that he was the tenth man to knockout Da Oxlade. So a month later he entered the SYN stage for his second time only to put on the most devastating knockout in his career when he landed a spinning backfist in the third round. BaBinski, who was favored to win that bout fell flat and Steve, had his hand raised quickly and the wagon of fans began to pile up. Win streak after win streak destroyed Yago began to be noticed by the champion in as a very real threat to the crown. Recently Yago Steve defeated Branca and Bee by knockout and has finally earned himself the title shot and I am not sure there is a more anticipated bout in the heavyweight division all year than this one.

BloodBath has gone on a tear continuing to garner the affection of MMA Journalists, Critics, Fans, and even fellow fighters. Everyone has become a fan of Bloodbath who recently went to war with Vunipola. Week after week the 31 year old Heavyweight King is proving to the world why he is the absolute best in the world and why before it's

To put an emphatic stamp on 2021, the Fighter of the Year nominee will undoubtedly aim to put Yago Steves highlight reel knockout win streak to an end with a big L as he usually does. Stepping into the cage this weekend is no different for Kilo who is always up against a guy who is on a multiple fight win streak and is expected to finally be the guy to stop Kilo, but they never are.

Currently riding an eleven-fight win streak, the coldest personality in the fight game continues to dominate his opponents and win in shocking fashion. Kilo Maluga has fought the who's who of the heavyweight world and continues to welcome the very best, and most of these opponents do not escape the first round with Kilo. But has Kilo ever faced an opponent quite like Steve? That is a question of great debate. A former Camara fighter who has been knocking out the best that @Icon73 has tossed his way, the Overthrower is supremely confident that his opponent will be underestimating him and will eventually, like most of his opponents, put them to sleep.

Rumors have circulated that Kilo Maluga has been more focused on his upcoming vacation after being so overworked in training camp for the last month that his mind may not be fully there. And after experiencing multiple strange phenomenon's due to the Columbian cartel and Sosa's alleged involvement, he may be looking to part ways to with his manager. Again, these are rumors, and we are unsure how much of it is actual. But after speaking with Yago Steves coaches they have shared with me he is going to be fighting in there as if it is life or death and wants to be the one guy who took the crown away from Kilo. The guy who was able to stop the Pirate. We find out this weekend. Who will be left standing.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Jean-Claude Marceau Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Gaultier Girard

(C) Marceau vs Girard (1)

Middleweight Championship Title fight

In the trilogy for the two Frenchman let's just call it, the battle for the French King. Marceau and Girard fought long ago when they were both relatively new to mma and were as mentioned in my other writeup regarding these two, former friends and training partners. They went their separate ways and have never really rekindled their friendship and after Marceaus bloody finish over Girard stealing the Syn title, I do not expect this to ever change.

In their last encounter Marceau landed nearly every shot he through and evaded most of Girards. Girard, although considered by a large amount of folks to be the favorite going into that bout, was proven to be not as good as his opponent that night. Marceau was a phenomenal athlete; his feints and head movement were on full display after working with high level kickboxers in preparation for that fight. Marceau caught Girard with a neck Kick that sent him crashing to the mat and even the referee let out an expletive when he watched Girard hit the mat like a sack of potatoes.

After the fight Marceau went to go celebrate his win where he was paraded around club to club. "The middleweight king is alive is alive!" The chants from the French Fans throwing their fighter the praises as he scored that beautiful knockout. Across the town, Girard had gone straight to the gym that night of his loss and reportedly hit the bag for a few hours not allowing himself to accept the defeat, the loss of his title, the end of his win streak, and another man being considered the Hero of the French.

Now the two are scheduled to start our year off in a trilogy matchup that should send shockwaves down the spines of countless viewers. I expect this to be the perfect precursor to the main event and do not believe for one second this fight goes to the judges. Expect heavy punches. Expect Head kicks. Expect more than anything one man having his hand raised and the other walking away murmuring to himself, Cest la Vie!

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Gemellus Axius Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Detkhunjon Sitsongrit

(C) Axius vs Sitsongrit (1)

Bantamweight Championship Title fight

Gemellus Axius (27-17-2) is one of the most experienced MMA fighters in the game today. The 35-year-old from Imperial City recently took the crown from long time champion Wayne Williams. Axius, who used a barrage of strikes to get the decisive win now welcomes the former Combate Champion, Detkhunjon Sitsongrit (24-10-2) a fighter who is primarily known for his punches but is not afraid to kick it with his opponents.

The two heavy hitters are the third main fight on the card and first of the three championship fights. Gemellus Axius, who, as previously stated, is making his first title defense believes that he has the output necessary to not only finish Sitsongrit but overwhelm him from bell to bell. The fast-paced striking nature that Axius has makes fight fans almost react a second after each shot is landed due to his speed being so high.

Neither fighter has ever suffered a knockout themselves, but both have lost by decision so if we were to take this into consideration, I think it will be fair to say that as a fight fan we should expect this bout to go a full five rounds. If thats the case, understanding this fight is very likely to go to the judges you would have considered Axius the main favorite. His level of output in striking and diversity in landing strikes is literally next to none. From leg kicks to body kicks to clinch fighting, Axius does it all and he does it exceedingly well. In comparison, Sitsongrit has a very similar style of fighting as former Bantamweight Champion Williams and critics have claimed that we will see a very similar fight where Sitsongrit will miss a majority of his punches and Axius land shot after shot at will.

To be fair, Sitsongrit is not Williams. Sitsongrit, the former Combate Champion, is looking to make an emphatic statement on his SYN debut and to lose this one will send him plummeting down the rankings. He knows that there will be a lot of mental pressure on Axius to prove he deserves to be the champion and that it was not a fluke. The two will begin engaging when the bell rings and I can share that this bout is tracking as the biggest Bantamweight Fight of all time as many SYN fans have been buzzing about it all week and watching countless youtube videos regarding this one.

Kilo Maluga (33-7) didn't even have to step inside the cage to beat Yago Steve (19-4) couple weeks ago when Yago Steve opted to practice clinchwork for 2 weeks at the age of 31 instead of fighting in the biggest fight in the game. It's a shame that he got instant shot again after embarrasing loss like that.

Prediction: Kilo Maluga by KO
