SYN 831 & 832 Previews

This weekends events are absolutely stacked. For fight fans, this is a weekend you want to get the buddies together and enjoy a couple of pay per view fight cards that are sure to blow the roof off the places. We are seeing one fight card take place in LA and the other in Tokyo! 20 fighters, 180 thousand people, and Three championship fights. This weekend is insane! Stick around to the end and see a free preview option we are doing. Lets get into it!

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Just Whymer Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Tong Po

205 lbs, Synchronicity Just Whymer vs Tong Po 205 lbs, Pulse Fighting Championship

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Just Whymer (34-12-4) defending his title against the PFC champion Tong Po (34-16) is a fight that has MMA fans screaming in excitement! Two of the very best Light Heavyweights in the world square off this weekend in what should undoubtedly be a strike fest with the highest level of technique. Tong Po is considered to be a huge threat to Whymer on account of his last fourteen fights, eleven have been victories and 10 of those were knockouts. From head kicks to Flying Knees this guy is the very definition of a masterclass striker. Whymer, who by all accounts could have been a boxer with the heaviest of hands, is quite aware that Po has been suspect to punches before as he was knocked out from Thiago Thiago and Harold Nicolas last year. Critics have claimed that in his last couple of outings, Whymer has begun to show his age and fans are speculating whether or not he still has it in him. He was out struck in the clinch in his first fight with De Silva and and in their rematch did not start off too hot. But as we know, its not how you start it is how you finish, and Just Whymer is a devastating finisher! The reality of this fight for me is that I believe this will most likely be the knockout of the night and that it ends for one of these two warriors within the first two rounds. Watch for Tong Po to land a nasty head kick by setting it up with numerous leg kicks first and look for Whymer to close the distance and throw bombs.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Artturi Reinikainen Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Arzlan Bathory

155 lbs, Synchronicity Arturri Reinkainen vs Arzlan Bathory

LIGHTWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT

Arturri Reinkainen (18-9-3) versus Arzlan Bathory (34-8-1) is one of those matchups that fight fans, especially those who followed PFC closely are yelling, "FINALLY!" The Tickle Monster, Arzlan Bathory is synonymous with the PFC title and for him to see Arturri standing across the cage from him holding it, he will no doubt be as aggressive as we have ever seen him to take the strap. These two fighters are about technique when it comes down to it. They don't aim to get a finish they aim to outscore their opponent and beat them to a bloody pulp. For Arturri, who has seen a resurgence in his career in the last several fights, he has gone on to win a solid amount and hopes that he can solidify himself as recognizable to SYN Fans as a thrilling fighter should he successfully dismantle the Tickle Monster. Bathory, who is now 38 believes he is in the best shape of his life and after coming off an insane victory Urameshi, he believes he can once again become champion, and this time, not just PFC but SYN as well! For Arturri, if he is able to outwork Bathory we may very well see the naysayers and doubters of his legitimate reign as champion finally come to an end. This is a battle not of knockout artists or submission specialists but of masters of technique. Over 100 strikes will be thrown in this one and if my guess is this will be a fight that fans will talk about for ages to come.

SYN 832

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Yodsawan Sitsongrit Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Wayne Williams

205 lbs, Synchronicity Yodsawan SitsonGrit vs Wayne Williams 135 lbs, Pulse Fighting Championship

BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT!

Syn 832 is Sunday Night Hype! Yodsawan SitsonGrit (35-12) puts his legacy, title, and Thirteen fight win streak on the line when he battles Wayne Williams (33-15) a fighter who particularly enjoys knocking out his competition but never relies on just that. Williams who recently took the PFC title in July from none other than Yodsawans brother, Chamauknoi.  Williams was hoping to defend his newly acquired title but the merger with SYN made that undoable. Instead, the great bantamweight fighter takes on arguably the GOAT of Bantamweights in SitsonGrit in what will be there third matchup together. As these two aim to clash on Sunday night they are both expecting a long drawn out back and forth war that will see them gassed and bloody hoping to raise their hand at the end of the evening. In both their fights together we have seen it go the distance. They have already shared 8 rounds together and if the fight goes past the fourth round this Sunday, which it surely will they will have already spent a full hour in the cage with each other.  Many spectators have written this one off as they consider SitsonGrit to be too good and already have Williams number in the book. What a lot of those critics have missed is that Williams, since his last outing with Yodsawan is a different fighter under the management of Alex Maniatakos and with training partners like Balgot and Barbarian, two champions in different orgs, Critics should not be so sure of themselves. Whatever the case, this is a fight that will be one of pure violence. I believe that Yodsawan will go for the knockout in this one and avenge his brothers loss of the title. There is something at stake for both of these guys so expect the best fight between these two guys.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Mark Kerr Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Gary Sparxx

Marko Kerr vs Gary Sparxx

HEAVYWEIGHT MATCHUP

"You're going to get hit...You're going to get knocked out..."This is the Heavyweight division and we have in our Co-Main event, two of the very best heavyweights in the world squaring off in what is no doubt going to be a battle for supremacy. These two heavy handed warriors will do battle aiming to take the others head clean off. "The Rave" has always been somewhat of a problem child, he cant seem to stay with managers for too long before finding someone else to work with. It appears under Daughtrys leadership however he has found someone he thoroughly enjoys learning from and being managed by. His career has taken off to a new level and together they have a 10-1 record with each fight coming by way of knockout. In Sparxx next matchup he takes on the incredible Marko Kerr a true veteran and a guy who has fought some of the very best the sport has to offer. Kerr, has finished 33 of his 37 opponents by knockout in a horrifying way and holds no mercy once their bodies go limp. Kerr is the record holder for the most knockouts in SYN, he broke the record in his last outing and according to his camp expects to further that number when he takes on Sparxx Sunday Night. All I can say fight fans is do not blink...This one should be over in a matter of seconds, at least that's what I think.

Fortunately you won't be cageside for the Tickle Monster fight. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

I trained exclusively with the tickle monster for my fight with McPasty before pulverizing McCheesy's face and sending him packing to the B-leagues with his mullet between his legs.

Syn Post Fight Press Conference is brought to you by, Ma Balls is Hot Clothing.

This past weekend Synchronicity put on two phenomenal events that took the roof off the place and made our mouths drop. Seeing a serious confrontation erupt between Blood Bath and Sparxx was no doubt what fans could not stop talking about, many fans were shocked at the complete dominating performance on the judges score cards from Williams, and even the first round knockout from Tong Po becoming the new champion of Syn, this is Syn 831 and 832 post fight presser, lets get into it!

SYN 831

Kishion: Hey guys thank you for joining me this evening. Before we get to the questions lets take care of business.

The attendance for the night was : 92217

The Gate was: $1,382,660

PPV Buys: N/A

FOTN: Obi Wan Kenobi vs Juan Pique

SOTN:

KOTN: Tong Po

Okay so who's got the first question!?

Starting off with the Main Event, Tong Po did what very few have done and did what has happened only one other time to Whymer, knocking him out in the very first round. What does this say about Tong Po and his arrival into Syn?

Kishion: I think he has shown in these last 2 fights just how good he is and i think hes trying to send a message to the MMA world that he is the #1 p4p fighter on the planet. To knock of both Whymer and Garuda who have dominated the division since Supernova says a lot.

We are currently in negotiations to have Po take on top 5 p4p fighter and SFL champion Giuseppe Hopkins

It has been reported that Whymer is now matched up with the last guy who has beaten Tong Po, Jeremy Jones, can we assume the winner of that fight is next in line for Po?

Kishion: Potentially, we have to see how the division shakes up after all the fights take place

There are rumors that as a whole the fighters were paid upwards to nearly one million dollars. Is it fair to say that Syn is the highest paying organization for fighters in the MMA business today?

Kishion: Yes while we have had events with over a million in fighter purses no we are not currently the highest paying. We are on par with our honest competitors. The ones with dirty money on the other hand? No we cant keep up with them.

In a wild, near perfect dominant performance, Barthory snatched the title from Reinikainen. What did you make of Bathory's performance and how do you think Mazziotti matches up with the new champion?

Kishion: I thought Barthory was amazing and had a stellar performance. He was a dominant force in Pulse so im honestly not surprised.

As for Mazziotti i think he matches up extremely well with him and I think it will honestly be a 50/50 matchup.

Personally, one of my favorite matchups of the night was Ko Nachi and Lupei, the big argument with the fans right now is that Lupei got a takedown in the first and should have grabbed the win. I personally didn't see it that way, what do you make of that fight and its decision?

Kishion: Honestly i think split decision was a bad call. Ko Nachi clearly won 29-28 and if you have a problem with the decision maybe go for the finish next time.

We are seeing almost a resurgence of the career of Angus Macarthur. A most vicious and one sided fight that the fans loved. He put on a clinic against Lacplesis. His overall Syn record is 5-2 and is considered 22 in the world at his weight class. Truly a fan favorite for fight fans like Callum McGregor. Do you think we see him in the octagon soon?

Kishion: Angus is a great young contender, i was extremely impressed with his performance and i cant wait to get him back in there with some of the top dogs at 170.

Syn 832

Kishion: Okay guys for our second event of the weekend

The attendance for the night was : 88996

The Gate was: $1,349,500

PPV Buys: 256,504

FOTN: Wayne Williams vs Yodsawan Sitsongrit

SOTN:

KOTN: Gary Sparxx

Now lets start with your questions!

The Bantamweight Title was on the line last night and I think it's fair to say many fight fans were shocked and even amazed with the performance of the new champion, Wayne Williams. What did you make of that matchup?

Kishion: it was an amazing matchup and Wayne put on a mesmerizing performance. To avenge those previous losses and overcome one of the greatest Bantamweights of all time to win the world championship gave me goosebumps.

That fight was probably the best fight of the weekend in my opinion. Over 400 strikes thrown in that matchup with Williams focusing solely on boxing, Do you think it was just a poor game plan from Sitsongrit or was there some hole there that Williams saw through and capitalized on?

Kishion: Well we all know the one true weak spot Muay Thai has is the hands. Being that the Sitsongrit camp are Muay Thai specialists it was a brilliant game plan.

Fight fans have already wanted to see that run back but both fighters are scheduled to fight on the same card on October 9th. Do you think it's a fight we can see before Christmas again or will we have to see how things shape out?

Kishion: Definitely have to see how it shapes out. I tell you guys this every weekend, we are not keen on giving rematchs o quickly. Nobody wants another Kilo vs Barbarian situation hahaha.

Perhaps the most vicious knockout of the weekend was Sparxx taking out Kerr in just 24 seconds. Personally, had no inkling of a thought that Kerr would lose that quickly or for that matter at all against Sparxx. Do you think we will see Kerr again or was that his last fight?

Kishion: We are in talks right now to potentially have him get 2 more fights in. He is an absolute legend and the undisputed KO king of syn. Would hate to see him going out on the other end.

There was a bit of an altercation between Sparxx and Maluga after the fight. Is this the fight you want next or would you like to see Sparxx get one more win under his belt before fighting the Bloodbath?

Kishion: The fight is already set, both men refused to leave the premises until we drafted up a fight contract. Its clear these men dont like each other and ill be honest i dont see this making it out of the first round. One of these men is going down. HARD!

One of the best fights on the card, in my opinion, was the one with Strap and Chavez. Despite not being on the main card, these two fought as if it were for a title. It turned out to be a draw but those guys gave it their all for sure. Are these the kind of fighters you are looking for when it comes to bringing in new talent to SYN?

Kishion: YES! We are looking for guys with heart, guys that will lay it all on the line and fight like its their last. These 2 warriors showed no quit and im extremely impressed with what i seen.

Von Mises and Presley was a battle of grapplers and it did not disappoint. So many submission attempts and great grappling on display from two great grapplers. Von Mises is now 1 and 2 in the org. Does he need a win to stay relevant to the fans?

Kishion: I think Von Mises is a young guy and if he can just keep his head on straight and focus in the gym he could be a serious contender. Its very hard at this level to be a grappler but i think he has the tools to do it if he can just stay in the right direction.

The post fight press conference was interrupted when there was screaming and yelling heard behind the curtain. A young lady carrying a notebook ran over to Kishion to inform him that some sort of aggressive outbreak had started to occur between Kilo Maluga and Gary Sparxx who fight fans believed to have actually left the building. Kishion had ran out of the room and the press was quietly escorted out of the hotel ballroom.

SYN 833 & Syn 834

Synchronicity looks to do it again this weekend. Selling out the LA memorial coliseum and the Tokyo bowl we have some exciting fights lined up for fight fans around the world. All though there is only one title on the line this weekend there are some fights that true MMA fans are going to be putting on their PBP for sure. One of my absolute favorite fights is when DeSilva takes on Marceau in what should either be the knockout of the night or an absolute clinic of technique. I hope you are ready for these previews, lets get into it!

Syn 833 Previews

Dany Crosby vs Ispa Mfer

Middleweight Title Match

Former PFC Middleweight Champion and top contender Ispa Mfer (25-12) has found himself at the very top of the Syn middleweight rankings and he looks to become another success story of the transition from PFC when he takes the title from Syn Champion Dany Crosby (30-17-1). The Finnish fighter training out of Average Joes Gym, had suffered his first ever knockout loss back in May when he lost the PFC Middleweight title. Mfer, who took some time away from the fight game, found himself almost remotivated better than before. Around the same time Mfer was making a resurgence of his career, Dany Crosby was looking to capitalize on his tenth win. Unfortunately, he fell victim to a shocking unanimous decision loss when Herb Krison stole with what appeared to be ease, the welterweight title. Rumors had flooded that Crosby had lost his passion for fighting and we were never going to say the same Dany Crosby but three weeks after his championship loss, we witnessed Crosby bounce back with a first round knockout victory over the last PFC champion, Latrobe Arundel. Some fight fans have speculated that Crosby will run through Mfer due to him dismantling Arundel so easily. Coaches at Average Joe's gym have shared with me that the formula on defeating Crosby is there and that if anyone has the ability to stop Crosby it would be Mfer. They believe that despite Crosby being well known for his knockout power, Mfer won't be put to sleep this weekend and instead will outwork and outpace Crosby every step of the fight. Fight fans and Pundits have claimed that this fight is going to be so one-sided that they claim the odds, -2100 of Crosby to win are generous to Mfer. So if everyone is counting gout Mfer, shouldn't you be too? No. Here is why, starting with his manager, he holds a winning managerial record of 1092-485. Secondly, Crosby is approaching the end of his career, at 38 years of age one has to wonder, how long can he keep fighting? I think with everything given, we will see Ispa show all the fans why he earned this title shot. I don't think he will be knocked out and I think it is very possible to see him outwork the champion. Wherever this fight ends up, you have to wonder if Ispa may actually have the advantage regardless of what the main mma media claims.

Do Ho Joy vs Mike McLaughlin

Featherweight Match

In a featherweight matchup of epic proportions we get to witness the final champion of PFC, Do Ho Joy (36-15) battle Mike McLaughlin (35-14-2) in what should be a five round battle that will have fight fans on the edge of their seats we will have the chance to look at two of the top contenders in the featherweight division. The reality of this match is both men are absolute legends in the mma world and will be showcasing some very expert level technique. I think it is fair to say that neither Joy will be looking for the knockout the entire duration of the fight. His iron jaw and his ability to put anyone in a daze are just two factors that McLaughlin will have to worry about. In examining these two fighters, one question will immediately pop out to fight fans. The question of course is will McLaughlin have the necessary punching output to win the rounds getting the judges nod? McLaughlin, who focuses a lot on his accuracy, will need to step up his punching game quite a bit, a path to victory that has been shown time and time again in all of Joy’s unanimous decision fights. For Joy of course he is going to be looking to land that knockout shot, but knowing McLaughlin has only been Tko’d once before I think this fight needs to stay at a range where Joy can land his array of strikes at will with incredible force. Despite these two martial artists never fighting each other before they have been around the other at the top of the table enough to know what the other is capable of. Recently both fighters have been doing really well, going on win streaks like no one's business. However, both of those win streaks came to a sudden end when they lost to the current Champion, Sitsongrit. In comparing their fights to Sitsongrit, one thing is dangerously obvious for these fighters, both were out punched, kicked, and clinched against Sitsongrit and if they go against. Joy had great success with kicks and McLaughlin had great success in the clinch, expect these two factors to come into play this weekend!

Jack Number vs Cereberus Dionisy

Light Heavyweight Match

A rematch fight fans across the mma world have been desperately waiting for is finally upon us! Two former Alpha-1 champions collide as the headliner of Sunday nights card as Jack “one” Number (32-29) looks to score a second tko victory over the sensational Cerberus Dionisy (17-3). Dionisy has only lost to three men in his career and out of those three men only one time the referee had ended the fight. Dionisy has that mark on his career that he has really wanted to avenge and now it's his opportunity to do so. In their first fight, Dionisy was pushed into the clinch position where he was pummeled relentlessly from Number. Number, who had actually thrown over 100 strikes from the clinch position compared to Dionisy throwing under forty five strikes, found a weak spot and hurled shots until the unthinkable happened and we saw a dazed and confused Dionisy. Moments later, the referee lifted Numbers hand and the new champion of alpha was crowned. Prior to that fight we had only seen Dionisy enter into the clinch position several times in his career where he would display such ferociousness and accuracy that fighters crumbled in competition before him. In a match that has already been done before many believe that we will see something different, Dionisy had realized his weak spot was his clinch game, at least compared to Number and had to work relentlessly on that to improve it. Whereas Number will have to remember that when it came to the striking aspect of their previous match, Dionisy landed all three shots against him making him miss by a mile when he threw. I believe many fight fans are considering this matchup to be a bit more violent and potentially passionate than their first encounter. Between the two, they both know that should they win it really puts them both at the top of the contenders list. Both fighters are coming off of wins in their last performances and many believe the 29 year old Cereberus is looking like a new man and are interested in seeing how the knockout artist does against a Champion like Tong Po, a dream fight for fight fans all around the world. But, as he has done before, can Jack Number spoil the dream? There is clearly an edge that Number has over his opponent and he very well could bring that out again.

Demon Monkey vs Samuel Nti

Welterweight Match

Monkey vs Nti is going to be an epic strike fest and honestly, i'm here for it. I actually believe this fight will go the full distance and neither fighter will really look for that knockout shot as much as they will look to be a little more cautious in securing the win. Accuracy more than damage is my prediction for both of these fighters gameplans. Demon Monkey (32-20-1) is undeniably one of the best in the welterweight division but when it comes down to title fights is where we tend to see him fold. In title fights, Monkey is (1-6) fortunately for him this is not actually a title fight as much as it is a title eliminator bout. Two fights ago he lost a very close split decision to the former champion Crosby on what many felt was actually Monkeys victory. A tough loss to swallow for both Monkey and his fans but he went back to the drawing board and bounced back with a dominating performance over Rishkinov. Now, he looks to take on another top name in the division in Samuel Nti (36-14). Perhaps one of the most feared men of his division, there is no denying that this man has violence in his head when he comes to fight. His 33 knockout victories are a testament to that. Nti, was previously on an 8 fight win streak when it was snapped by a head kick from nowhere when Duranto evaded most of Ntis strikes and landed that hellacious shot. Certainly, Monkey will be studying that fight and learning how Duranto managed to avoid shots that Ntis previous 8 opponents wish they could have avoided. This fight could certainly end with either guy being left unconscious or a referee stepping in, but as I said in my opening sentence, I believe this fight will be a long war. I think both men are going to be a bit more gun shy than we are used to seeing and careful not to get caught as they have done in the past. This is Nti’s first fight after that head kick loss and when Nti comes back from an loss he usually displays unmatched aggression forcing the referee to stop the fight.

Fight To Watch!

Antonio Maurcio DeSilva vs Jean Claude Marceau

Light Heavyweight Match

Former lightheavyweight champion of Syn Antonio Maurcio De Silva (30-11) looks to stop the PFC veteran Jean Claude Marceau (35-17) who is quickly on his way to the top of the division. The two top light heavyweight contenders have their sights fixed on the title and know with a victory this weekend it will not only put them back at the top of title contention but remove one of the hardest fighters from their path. Jean-Claude Marceau is relatively new to SYN and with 32 of his victories coming by way of knockout out of his 35 victories, it is safe to say that Marceau is looking for another walkoff knockout victory. For an opponent to knock out DeSilva is almost a feat of itself. The six foot six granite chin monster holds a wild record of career wins and is sure to please the crowd this weekend. Not normally known as someone who finishes fights as much as he is for someone who outworks his opponents, DeSilva is constantly looking to take his opponents to deep waters and thrashing them at each step of the way. Prior to his recent loss, DeSilva was on a 6 fight win streak defeating some serious top competition in the light heavyweight division. After winning against Whymer via split decision he momentarily held the crown until the rematch where he suffered a tko loss. Fight fans are curious to see whether or not DeSilva will bounce back successfully or not against one of the toughest fighters in all of Syn. Marceau is coming off of a recent first round knockout victory over Juha Niska, a former Alpha and Smash champion. It will be interesting to see the confidence levels of both of these fighters and how they choose to employ their tactics. This is personally one of the matchups i am most excited for and to see what happens in the rankings after these two collide.
