  1. ... Bro... No... Just no. That is not good advice to give. Not trying to be mean but that's just wrong and telling people that will get them rekt when the time comes. There is no slider fu for a glass jaw. You can duck and fight them against cans but that goes against the morality of the game, at least for me. Glass jaw is death, bad heart is super death at heavier weight classes and cuts no matter what sliders you use will always creep up on you in an important fight and leave you with that lovely TKO(Cut) loss that leaves you fuming after reading the play by play.

  7. Pity that not that many are following suit. From Bloody Elbow: " Henry Cejudo has already shown that he is one of the top flyweights the UFC has, and he could be in line for a title shot if he can defeat Jussier Formiga in November. But Cejudo, an Olympic gold medalist in wrestling, is also a man with values. When fellow fighter Nick Diaz was suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for a ridiculous five years, he decided to speak up. Cejudo and his manager wrote a letter saying he'd never fight in Nevada again. A lot of fighters might change their minds after they do something drastic like that - after all, Nevada is UFC HQ and it's where they stage a large portion of their title fights. But when speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour today, Cejudo didn't back down at all. In fact, he even upped the stakes a bit (via MMA Fighting): "My immediate reaction was that it was something that was unjust. Throughout the period of 2004 through 2012, I've probably been tested about 100 times by USADA [united States Anti-Doping Agency], but never have I run into a case where somebody has been tested three times in the span of probably 12 hours. To me it's something that's unjust, and I feel like as an Olympic athlete who's now a UFC fighter it gives the...I feel like I have his side because I've been there before. And not to discount the fact that he passed two tests and the only test that came back negative was a test that wasn't even credited by WADA. "To me it was just like, man, I felt like Nick Diaz was targeted from the get-go. And I just can't sit there and let this man be suspended for five years. I can't even live with myself, because I've been through this process from the age of 17 to the age of 26." After defending Diaz, he made it clear that his stance wouldn't change even if it meant that he would have to pass on a title shot if it was in Nevada: "To me it’s not so much based on success," he said. "As a competitor, I want to compete and I want to accomplish everything, but to me the message here is to do what’s right. Will I become a UFC champion some day? I know I will. Will I do it now? Maybe I don’t have to. Maybe I’m more into protests now for the sake of this man who’s been wrongly processed with this five-year ban. That’s ridiculous." ... "I know we have a big UFC coming up in December with Conor McGregor headlining, and [Chris] Weidman," he said, referring to the three UFC cards between Dec. 10-12. "I definitely don’t want to sidetrack that event. "I’m just here to take a step for my personal view, and I just couldn’t do it. Even if that means leaving the belt on the line and leaving somebody else to fight whoever has that belt at that time, I’m willing to do that. I’m willing to show the type of person with the type of character that I am." Cejudo meets Formiga in the UFC's debut in Monterrey, Mexico at the TUF Latin America 2 Finale on November 21st."

  11. What you say is true but you also make my point in your post. So your guy had a good manager, good sliders, dominated a title fight and his chin STILL failed him. You are right tho, a bad chin doesn't mean he is a can but it also means any top guy will destroy him because they are likely going to have amazing chins, heart and good KO power. I am also not condoning insta-sacks based on one bad hidden because everyone has their standards and their own preferences. I myself am shooting to have the best roster possible so to have someone who cuts badly(and a bad build) like Cutwood http://mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilepublic.php?FID=158691, despite me doing very well with him (like you said, it's possible to still have a decent fighter) he let me down any time someone went high damage and it was just something that repeatedly happened through out his career. Much like the guy you mentioned with his chin, he may do well but that chin is gonna fail him more and more the higher level of competition he faces. Good sliders will win you fights with most fighters at the lower levels of competition unless your creations are complete duds. But the higher you go, the better managers you face and the better fighters you face(hidden AND build) the more your own creation's shortcomings in the hidden department are going to be exposed.

  12. Dan can always put the lights out. Never doubt. I think he's going to take Vitor out. Dude will ko you even if he's 70 and missed his lunch. Lots of fighters like Handy and Chael said they've never ran into a guy who hits like Dan. That is quite an endorsement.

  16. I wanted to add a manager to my orgs hall of fame and was thinking of creating a fighter with his name and ask mike about letting the picture be the managers avatar. But then i thought why not post it in the Improvement section to add it maybe to the game and make it possible for Org owners to also add Managers to the Hall of Fame. I dont know how much an Org should be able to add, but really just a few. Maybe one manager every 50 Events or something. i hope i am not the only one with this.

  17. Fedor was always small. I'm pretty sure he was around 230ish his whole career. He fought a couple of freakshow fights against GIANTS that were way over 265, they all went down quick. He didn't look that big next to Lindland or Hendo and both fought at 185. One thing that Fedor did better than anyone was transition from standing to ground. He was always swinging hard then using momentum to pull off his crazy takedowns. His hands are legendary. He could armbar anyone in his prime. Best ground and pound of his era, possibly best heavyweight gnp ever. Pretty much fought like a guy 3 weight classes lower. Fearless, emotionless, unphased by injury, fast, strong and smart. Anyone should be able to look at his highlight reels and see that he was special. I watched his whole career. He was the biggest brightest most humble MMA star of all time. Million dollar paydays when UFC champs were making pennies. GOAT. He may not be what he once was. The game has evolved tremendously. Yet, nobody will ever have the air of invincibility this guy had. He was fascinating.

  19. Nice write up, it's really refreshing to see some enthusiasm in orgs. Just gonna put it out there that, that top 10 won't be like that for long I think I'll sign my 280k Albert Ricci with you... Once he's finished his training regime Keep up the hard work on the write ups.. it's something appreciated by many even if they don't give you a plus or positive feedback, people prefer seeing effort rather than a lack of it. Reminds me of myself when I was new to the game.. I wish I could get back into the enthusiasm of writing and all that jazz but, can't really see it happening.

  21. Well put together org man. Only thing I'd do is cut the 0-0 fighter from 2nd place. I know you're probably going by hype but how can he rank over the 2-0 guys you know? All looking good thus far though.

  24. So to summarize... Syn is company that cheated and exploited the rules constantly while GAMMA was always 100% straight. The greatest tournament ever....just happens to be one a GAMMA guy won. Syn got jealous of GAMMA's greatness when GAMMA admirably refused to sell them a fighter. And you don't think at all you're being a bit on the biased side? Haha just fucking with you. I don't even know the history. Maybe it's true. Just seemed funny to point out . Good to see top orgs clashing like that though. I hear Tonal's name daily on here.

  25. Syn vs GAMMA is the most storied rivalry in the game's history dating back to May 2009. Syn was established a little earlier than GAMMA in the era prior to the diminishing returns. I remember when they were running 3-4 events per week and cashing in on the obvious flaw. By the time we launched the diminishing returns penalty was in place, but by then Syn had already accumulated a bucket load of cash and we were fighting an uphill battle from day 1...........man those were the days. Syn was the household name at that time, (together with Pride in Tokyo) and we was the start up local org running a close knit product. I am pretty sure that then owner Franky Sin had no idea who we were. The first "soft exchanges" between the orgs started in that tourney. I remember the time when Syn was against the addition of the "renew contract" option. They were basically making a living from the expiring contracts, so when the admin added the renew contract option late in 2009, it basically saved us from losing a lot of our top talent. One of those top talent was a rookie called Jeremy. The rivalry heated up when GAMMA decided to send their first fighter outside our borders to compete in what was the greatest event this game has ever seen...........the Original Millionaire tourney! There have been many such tourneys over the years, but to be frank, that was easily the best ever run. For all of you which know their history, you should know that in that tourney the greatest fighter in history was born, Jeremy Tonal. After the win of the tourney, we got an offer to "sell" Jeremy to Syn, which we rejected (dispite being on a very low budget at the time). This infuriated Syn and the rivalry from that point on was pretty much official. GAMMA started off with 5 straight wins (all by Tonal vs mostly Syn champs at 205lbs and 265lbs). Syn since balanced out the score which now stands at 6-4 in favor of GAMMA. There have been multiple owners of Syn over the years though, funny enough is that the relationship has always been very prickly with whoever was in charge accross the road. The last super fight between the orgs was way back in June 2014, a win for Syn in a fight between Anderson McGinley v Leighton Matias. Anyway, we have put our differences on the side for 2 major fights: Gunnar Steigelmann (196145) vs Chick Bowdrie (210333), Fight taking place on the 23rd of September. and: Renan St Juste (102580) vs Ricky Rocker (177654), this fight is taking place on the 10th of October. Gunnar is the current GAMMA 265lbs champ and is going up against Chick Bowdrie, the current Syn 265lbs champ. Where as Renan is facing the Syn 170lbs champion Ricky Rocker in a fight which could determine the #1 p4p fighter. With 2 wins Syn can level up the rivalry at 6 wins each, so a lot is at stake here.

  27. I dont see how it's sad. The UFC/Reebok deal pretty much put him out of the UFC's price range unless they were willing to give him the highest base/bonus pay in the entire organization. I kind of doubt that Fedor is really interested in becoming a full time fighter again. Odds are the NYE fight will be a squash match. I think Minakov would murder him at this point. Probably the stiffest opponent they would give him would be Kongo. If he looks decent on NYE then a Minakov match could be made, which would be a huge matchup for Bellator. I did call this a couple of weeks ago. It was pretty obvious that the UFC didnt want to pay him what he wanted and due to the reebok deal he could make much more money in Bellator. Phil Davis murdered the field tonight in the LHW tourney. He is exciting against middling competition.

  38. Shut up dude. Make your own org or stop complaining, and if not go some-wheres else. London is still one of the best cities in the game and the only reason CFL is not #1 right now is because we are running a lot of smaller events for the lower hyped guys and we are doing the grappling tournament which isn't getting good ratings and I don't care, it's about the fighters not the org ranking. BKC is an excellent org and Bloodsport is proving their worthy, VFC is now back. LFN is gaining hype. London is a great city with tons of talent and great fighters/managers and orgs so stfu dude stop whining and go somewhere else.

  39. There are both sharks swimming in different ponds who have made good women's fighters look awful. Ronda needs Cyborg to cement her legacy as the greatest women's fighter ever. If she does not fight her then it will be what if Ronda fought Cyborg... Cyborg in order to make big money needs the Ronda fight, Cyborgs legacy has been tarnished with the doping thing but even then 10 years undefeated speaks for itself. She was the woman who destroyed the face of WMMA before it could get off the ground before. Cyborg is the #1 p4p Women's fighter on the planet, no one has ever taken the crown from her. In order to be the best, you need to beat the best. Ronda has beaten everyone else other than Cyborg. It is becoming more and more like Floyd vs Pacman all over again with the excuses being thrown about. The UFC has prided itself on putting on the fights the fans want to see... It is time to see Dana stick to his word.

  40. Fedor imo ruins his entire legacy on the spot. He never joined UFC when the likes of Cain Velasquez or Brock Lesnar were ruling the roost. Fedor was still around fully when the Pride age fell and the likes of Cro Cop and Nogueira were no longer top fighters. Fedor chose not to sign to the UFC and chose to fight in other organisations, despite the fact that at the time no one would consider Werdum to be in the same league as Cain. Hell, Fedor lost to Bigfoot whom Cain killed twice. Fedor had his shot. A clear cut opportunity to prove himself as the greatest of all time at any weight class. He could likely join the UFC and beat the likes of Ben Rothwell and Travis Browne, but it'd be hard as hell. Werdum, Velasquez, JDS, Overeem...these would have been the biggest wins of Fedor's entire career. Instead, Fedor has deliberately chose to fight the Cheick Kongos of the world. If Anderson Silva signed for BAMMA I'd be pissed off too. Fedor doesn't want any part of the best heavyweight fighters in the world. That to me is not the mindset of an active fighter, which we have to consider him now that he's back. As a result, the top fighters changes dramatically. Anderson and Fedor dropping means GSP is easily on top, with Jones easily second, although some will interhange these. After that, it's really a fans choice. Chuck, Hughes, Penn....fans get to pick at this stage cause Fedor is ducking the best fighters in the world and Anderson got caught roiding.
