Guest Posted June 2, 2010 Report Share Posted June 2, 2010 As long as we get 64 that is And a few alternates to boot, I doubt all 64 will stay in throughout the whole thing, we had 2 dropouts with 2 months training time in a 16 person tournament last time! Guest Posted June 3, 2010 Report Share Posted June 3, 2010 Whoa! We've reached 64! Sign-ups will be open till this Sunday, the 7th of June. At that point, we'll redo all the rankings based on what they are at that point. The top 64 managers will be selected and the rest will be given an option to join the "alternate tournament" which happens alongside. We had 2 people drop out midway last time (out of a total 16) so alternates definitely have a great chance to get into the tournament. So, keep signups coming! MattyBlayze Posted June 4, 2010 Report Share Posted June 4, 2010 Just to clarify a few points... 1) Just because there are 64+ managers already entered does not mean you shouldn't enter if you haven't yet. First, all rankings will be taken on Sunday, and then the Top 64 will be automatically entered. Second, there will most definitely be people who are forced to drop out or just plain disappear - the need for replacements will be there. Beyond this, we will be providing similar matches in an "alternate tournament" for any alternates - this will provide entry to the main tournament in the case that a winner cannot move on to the next round due to inactivity. 2) If you are not currently in the Top 10%, but have some fights scheduled this weekend, feel free to enter with the assumption you will reach the Top 10% before the weekend is up. 3) The rules state that your fighter must be created ON or AFTER June 20th. If you won't be able to sack a fighter, or don't know which fighter to sack, you are allowed to create your fighter any time between June 20th (a Sunday so training is not an issue) and the day the 1st Round starts!
