GAMMA #388: CUSTER versus IVEY REVIEW written by Furious Styles

APRIL 12, 2014 ATTENDANCE: 92,576 LOS ANGELES COLISEUM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Greetings fight fans, I hope all of you are well. This is Furious Styles on the scene at the Los Angeles Coliseum where more than ninety-two thousand crazy MMA fans have packed the arena from floor to ceiling for this event! There was a lot of buzz for this night of fighting action and every match was worth the price of admission.

The crowd was treated to not one but two championship title battles so they knew there were going to see some very capable fighters showcase their skills as well as their desire to be a champion! On a side note, the person who created the poster for this event deserves extra pay because wow, that young lady is something to behold. Without further ado, let's get down to business!

MAIN CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: “PREACHER” JESSE CUSTER (17-4) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM VERSUS PHIL IVEY (41-17) OF GRABTHE.INFO

The Main Event featured the young warriors Custer battling the wise and accomplished veteran in Ivey, and many in attendance felt that the youthful exuberance and capability of Custer would prove too much for Ivey, though there were many that felt Ivey would be able to manipulate Custer using his experience and throw the young man's approach off.

Custer made it apparent that he wanted to take and keep this fight to the ground and he was able to do that for the majority of the opening round. Ivey was able to fend off the aggression of Custer for a while and managed to stand up in a clinch. However, after breaking out of the clinch, it was surprising to many that Ivey opted to take the fight back to the ground and unfortunately, it cost him! Ivey landed in Custer's guard but took too much time deciding what to do, and in the blink of an eye it was Custer who took advantage, locked Ivey into an armbar and forced the veteran to tap out!

Custer earned the SUBMISSION VICTORY as well as Sub of the Night honors while maintaining his hold on the Light Heavyweight title!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: LUKE “PIG” KILPATRICK (17-5) VERSUS “THE BODY” JIM JANOS (23-12-1) OF THE CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CLUB

Kilpatrick was the younger and heavier fighter in this battle, and that came into play as the fight wore on. Much like myself, the majority of the crowd expected this to be a standup war but Kilpatrick had different plans and took this fight to the ground early then tried valiantly to submit Janos as quickly as possible!

Janos did his very best to fight Kilpatrick's efforts but in the 2nd round, he proved to be too strong and persistent, eventually locking in a nasty armbar that forced Janos to reluctantly tap out! Kilpatrick earned the SUBMISSION VICTORY! This fight was deemed the Fight of the Night as well.

MAIN CARD FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: AUGUSTE GRIMM (15-4) OF TEAM OUTKAST VERSUS EIN STEIN (15-5-1) OF THE FINNFIGHTERS

Grimm defended his title against Stein and brought the height and weight advantage to this clash. Stein has shown that he can take a solid punch so Grimm took his chances early to try and test that chin. Stein was able to avoid the punches and took the fight to the ground. The entire first round was a submission attempt orgy with neither man getting the tapout. Round 2 saw Stein bleed then the fight finished on the ground again. Finally in Round 3, Grimm was able to lock Stein in a Guillotine that gave no option to Stein except to tap out!

Grimm defended his title successfully by way of SUBMISSION VICTORY!

MAIN EVENT WELTERWEIGHT UNDERCARD EVENT: “EL GUAPO” TAZ RUTTEN (28-10-1) OF CONVICTED INC. VERSUS VLADIK FEDOTOV (31-16-2) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

The tattooed warrior was all business in this fight and after a brutal right head kick that knocked Fedotov off his feet, Rutten finished Fedotov with a savage left cross that hurt Fedotov! Rutten earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: YESHUA “I AM” IMMANUEL (10-3-1) OF THE ILLIMUNATI VERSUS MAUBEE “ROOTS” AWAY (14-10-1) OF THE COLD BLOODED KILLERS

Both combatants had their moments during this battle, but neither was able to put together a string of dominating action for long periods of time and thus, the judges ruled this a MAJORITY DRAW!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: JESSE VENTURIA (31-26) VERSUS “BIG” DUNCAN MCALISTER (29-23-2) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

This fight saw Venturia bleed after being on the wrong end of a beautiful combination, but that woke Venturia up and he worked hard to land his own brutal combination that finished McAlister off! Venturia was emotional over this TECHNICALKNOCKOUT VICTORY and also earning the KO of the Night honors!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: THIAGO “FIOTE” TAVARES (14-6) OF THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE VERSUS “FLASH” SCOTT NORTON (12-6)

Tavares was able to utilize his speed advantage to blast Norton with two very nasty head kicks and a crushing right cross! The second right head kick was the one that finished this one-sided affair off, giving Tavares the KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: GLEN “LIVER” STARNER (21-11) OF VALHALLA VERSUS ZACK “MOONSHINE” SKYSHRIEK (25-15-2) OF THE LEGION OF PAIN

Starner was determined to take and keep this fight on the ground and he was able to have his way once he was able to keep Skyshriek from moving around! In Round 2, Skyshriek didn't react quickly enough and found himself tapping out to the Triangle! Starner earned the SUBMISSION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT EVENT: DAIJU KIKUCHI (10-4) VERSUS RON “BOWES” SIELER (14-12) OF FIGHTERS FIRST ALLIANCE

Fans were treated to a hellacious standup war between these two that saw Kikuchi drop Sieler with an explosive overhand right that Sieler didn't see coming! Kikuchi won by way of KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: “THE BRITISH BRAWLER” MIC HAEL (18-11-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM VERSUS “THE ALLIGATOR” LUKE WARM (14-15) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

Inter-Alliance fights are always fun and this one fit the bill. A sweet one-two combo from Hael cut Warm above his left eye but he didn't let that deter him. Both warriors were determined to make the opponent tap so they could have those bragging rights within the alliance, but it was Hael who was able to string together enough moments to earn the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

Well there you have it good people and I hope all of you enjoyed the fights you witnessed for this event! As usual I thank you for joining me for another review and I'll continue to crank these out as expeditiously as possible so I can get caught up on the action. Vacations are nice and all but they sure do set you back! Take care, be well and I'll see you at the next fight!

GAMMA #389: McGINLEY versus GRAVIUS REVIEW written by Furious Styles

APRIL 13, 2014 LOS ANGELES MEMORIAL COLISEUM 93,607 ATTENDANCE

Hello good folks, I hope all of you are well. This is your roaming reporter, Furious Styles, and I’m on the scene again at another exciting GAMMA event that has packed the Coliseum to the gills once again! We saw the Lightweight Championship on the line and it was an intense battle that left the crowd cheering and wanting more! So, without further ado…let’s get down to business.

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: ANDERSON McGINLEY (19-5) versus “KNIGHT ERRANT” SELLUS GRAVIUS (18-7) of THE LEGION OF PAIN

These two heavy hitters pulled no punches and were very aggressive as soon as the bell rang! Gravius unleashed a stinging right cross that caught McGinley above the left eye and cut it open, but McGinley smiled, shrugged, and kept on going. Both warriors struggled to land clean, strong strikes from distance and the case was still the same when they went into the clinch. They didn’t stay in the clinch for long as they both determined they were getting nowhere fast.

After trying more strikes at distance, McGinley decided to try the clinch approach again and the second time around was the charm as he landed various damaging body blows on Gravius! Gravius began to slow a bit and McGinley saw that as well. He broke the clinch then faked Gravius out with the old look low, kick high move and blasted Gravius with a tremendous right kick! Gravius was out on his feet and McGinley won via KNOCKOUT VICTORY and earned the KO of the Night as well!

MAIN CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: JONNY “THE ANGEL” VICTORIO (41-16-1) of the FINNFIGHTERS versus “HELLBENT” ROGER DUNOWEVIL (26-13) of THE LEGION OF PAIN

Fans were treated to a standup war for this fight! The action was back and forth with both men landing painful, damaging punches and kicks until Victorio shifted the momentum of the fight with a crushing left cross that opened a cut above Dunowevil’s right eye! Victorio stepped up his level of aggression but both warriors struggled to land a string of unguarded strikes.

Dunowevil did his best to take this fight to the ground but was unsuccessful and that energy spent slowed him a bit more and opened him up for Victorio’s attack. Victorio caught Dunowevil off guard with a lighting quick right head kick that stunned him and Victorio was on him, raining down punches until the referee had to stop the action! Victorio earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

MAIN CARD LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: KARL “THE HURRICANE” De GROOT (41-17-1) of the STEEL PENN ALLIANCE versus JESSE “BUGMAN” WOLFE (25-13) of THE CHILDREN OF THE LAW OF ONE

The champion, De Groot, relied upon his skills and his tremendous amount of battle experience to overcome the upstart and aggressive Wolfe in this battle! This was a tremendously taxing and intense standup battle that could have gone either way. It remained on its feet until the final round where Wolfe tried to lock in a submission to put the match to an end. Try as he may, he wasn’t able to make the champion tap and thus, De Groot retained his Lightweight Championship by way of UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

MAIN EVENT WELTERWEIGHT UNDERCARD EVENT: “RAMPAGE” ADOLF ELLENBERGER (16-4) of THE LEGION OF PAIN versus “KASCHEY” ARTEM BESSMERTIN (15-7) of the STEEL PENN ALLIANCE

The strikes in the standup between these two were fast and punishing to say the least! Bessmertin bled from a nasty slicing left elbow from Ellenberger in the 1st round, got knocked down in the 2nd round, and was leveled by a devastating right cross that sent him to his knees, where Ellenberger unloaded on him until the referee stepped in! Ellenberger earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY and both warriors earned the Fight of the Night honors!

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT EVENT: “THE CANDYMAN” WILLY WONKA (21-4) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “THE LION” NICK SHIELDS (15-5) of GRABTHE.INFO

Wonka felt that this fight would be sweeter on the ground – see what I did there? – and took it there as quickly as he could in both rounds of this battle. Once down there, Wonka was able to outmaneuver Shields then he locked him into a Guillotine submission to earn the SUBMISSION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: “TURK” JOHNNY BRIT (28-17) versus LAN “AANALLEIN” MANDRAGORAN (19-9) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Mandragoran cut Brit with a vicious right counter cross that woke Brit up very quickly! Brit stepped up his aggression and was able to distract Mandragoran enough to unleash a jaw-snapping left uppercut that dropped Mandragoran like he was hit by a car! Brit dropped a sledgehammer of a right elbow on Mandragoran and the referee had seen enough! Brit won by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT!

UNDER CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: “MAMBO” MR. BLACK (43-21-2) of CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT versus “THE RAGING JEW” LARRY DAVID (20-9) of TEAM OUTKAST

Black was clearly the aggressor and dominated the majority of this fight, but near the end of the 3rd round, many in attendance thought David made a big mistake by letting Black get back to his feet after David knocked him down with a massive right head kick! I’m sure David’s trainers will speak with him about finishing opponents off, especially near the end of a fight where he’s realistically losing. Black escapes with a UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: “THE DIVINE SINGER” FREDDIE MERCURY (20-8-2) versus "TARKKAILULUOAKAN PRIIMUS"ANSELMI HAMARA (25-13-1) of the FINNFIGHTERS

The man with the easy name against the fighter whose name is a question on the SAT, Mercury was cut by a face-contorting left jab from Hamara that seemed to motivate him! Mercury was very aggressive and had a high level of energy throughout the entire fight and easily outfought Hamara to earn the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: SAM “SAMMY” SHIELD (14-8) of ACME – ST. PETERSBURG versus “MR. MAIN EVENT” MAX POWER (37-24-2) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Shield was a step ahead of Power the entire 1st round and he positioned him for a picture-perfect left head kick that made Power’s eyes roll in the back of his head! Shield jumped on him and nailed him with punches until the referee stopped the brutality, giving Shield the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: JUAN “PUNCH” TAMAD (16-10-1) of FIGHTERS FIRST ALLIANCE versus RAVI “THE MIDLANDS MAULER” SINGH (13-9) of the EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN

Tamad was clearly on top of his game for this fight and for good measure , he dropped Singh in the 3rd round with a savage left hook that made everyone ooh and ahh as Singh fell to the canvas! Tamad leapt on the downed man and pounded him out until the referee said it was enough! Tamad earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

All right my good people, it’s time for me to run so I can organize the content for my next review of a GAMMA event! As always I appreciate you taking the time to hang out with me and review the events that went down. I’m sure this weekend will be nothing short of explosive and exciting so be sure to catch the action. If you feel brave, place some bets and I wish you the best of luck! This is Furious Styles signing off, and I’ll see you…at the fights!

GAMMA #390: ETTISH versus GUNDY REVIEW written by Furious Styles

APRIL 19, 2014 WOMBLEY ARENA, LONDON 93,607 ATTENDANCE

Greetings cool kids, I hope all of you are well and happy. This is Furious Styles back in London where Big Ben and GAMMA events dominate! Wombley Stadium was once again jam packed and the anticipation of the action was electric! Despite the fact there were no titles on the line, that did not make anyone less interested in what would transpire on the ten fight card and there was plenty to speak about once all was said and done. So without further ado…let’s get down to business!

MAIN CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: “MASTER of PANIC” STAN VAN GUNDY (26-7-1) of the INTERNATIONAL COCKSMEN versus “COQUETTISH” FRED ETTISH (30-18) of CONVICTED INC.

Two proven warriors with plenty of fighting experience was the featured main event on this card and neither man left anything behind as each of them put all they had into this intense brawl! Van Gundy brought a three fight win streak into this battle while Ettish brought a four fight win streak. Who knew that Van Gundy was a capable fighter as well as a solid basketball coach?

With the exception of a takedown by Ettish in the 2nd round, this was a standup, toe-to-toe, man-to-man battle that showed a bit of everything from damaging, powerful striking, excellent defense, tremendous clinch work, and sheer determination and will! The battle for position as well as counter-attacks kept both fighters on their toes and the crowd on edge the entire time. The 1st round could have gone either way, but Van Gundy established himself much more in the 2nd round despite being taken down to the canvas. For the remainder of the fight, Van Gundy allowed his highly educated hands and feet do the work while his defense kept him from taking any vicious punishment. Ettish took a few clean strikes but kept himself pretty safe as well but Van Gundy was just too much on this night. Van Gundy earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY and both men were rewarded with the Fight of the Night honors for their excellent effort and great skill!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: MIZUSHIMA “GIANT HEAD” MUROI (20-11-1) versus JOHN STAAL (37-14) of the SUPER SMASH BROS

Muroi and his apparent big head were on point for this fight and his fists sharp as he flat out outboxed Staal! Muroi was very aggressive, especially in the clinch, and after Staal wore down, Muroi measured him for a thunderous right uppercut that knocked Staal to the canvas big time! To his credit he gathered himself quickly enough to use the cage to get back to his feet. Staal was able to get himself together but it was moot after Muroi once again found his right hand doing the damage, this time from a savage right cross, and once Staal was back on the mat, Muroi was on him and rained down strikes until the referee had to step in! Murio won by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT as well as Knockout of the Night honors!

MAIN CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: “THE CHOSEN ONE” USAIN WATTS (40-18) versus BILL BELTON (24-13-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM

A fight that was mostly on the ground, both of these seasoned veterans struggled at various times to dominate the positioning or the action, but the battle tested Watts was able to gain the upper hand in the 2nd round in particular. In that round, Watts was able to establish himself in the standup game and I believe that helped sway the judges’ cards in his favor.

Watts used the momentum from that round to carry over to the 3rd round where he set himself apart from Belton, though Belton absolutely had his moments during this fight. However, his effectiveness was too sporadic in the judges eyes and thus, he was on the wrong end of the decision. Watts earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

MAIN EVENT FEATHERWEIGHT UNDERCARD EVENT: KEAST KANN (32-26-1) versus SUN “SOLDIER REBORN” RA (31-19-1)

The purple-haired warrior was on top of his game, be it in the standup or on the ground, and Ra couldn’t string together enough offense to turn the tide of this battle! Ra appeared to have found some success in the 2nd round but it simply wasn’t enough while Kann comfortably controlled the fight on the ground and was effective with stinging strikes at opportune times. That was enough for him to earn the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: “THE HAMMER” SEMMY KASTEEL (22-9-1) of THE CORPORATION versus “BEAST MODE” PUFF DRAGON (13-5-1) of THE BROKEN HALO PRIDE

Dragon, the wild-haired blonde fighter was a step slow in this battle and that allowed Kasteel to capitalize on the situation. This was another brutal standup battle that the crowd witnessed that left both men bleeding above their right eyes! Kasteel was simply the better fighter for the first two rounds but Dragon shifted the momentum in the 3rd round. Unfortunately for him it was too little too late, and Kasteel earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: TJ CUMMINGS (33-20) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus TASOS LERONYMAKIS (10-4)

Inevitably there will always be the one battle where plenty of blood is spilled, and this was the fight that served up that dish of savagery! Cummings was the first to bleed but Leronymakis followed soon afterward, then the cut was worsened in the 2nd round. Cummings could see the cut was bothering Leronymakis and he focused on it, opening it up badly in the 3rd round with pinpoint accurate punches then a massive right head kick made him bleed badly and knocked him to the mat like he was shot! The ringside doctor stopped the fight and gave the victory to Cummings by way of TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: ALFRED “GRANITEN” HAMMARSKJOLD (23-11) of TEAM OUTKAST versus TIM “GUNNER” SIN (18-11) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Once Hammarskjold took this fight to the ground, he knew he had Sin right where he wanted him! He unloaded with a massive ground-and-pound attack that wore Sin down enough for him to measure him for two unforgiving right hammerfists that took Sin out of the fight and made the referee stop the action! Hammarskjold earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: "Хуй "TITUS OVEREEM (14-5) of TEAM OUTKAST versus DANTE “THE HURRICANE” SMITH (20-16)

The blood-thirsty crowd was treated to another crimson-covered battle that saw both men bleed, but it was Smith who appeared as if he were in a horror movie as blood flowed down his face in small rivulets! The ringside doctor had no option but to stop the fight because Smith couldn’t see clearly and Overeem was merciless in attacking his cut! Overeem earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT EVENT: “WONDERBOY” CHRIS VAN DE KAMP (14-9) of the SWEDISH FIGHTERS ALLIANCE versus JOHN KIMBLE (12-9-1)

Kimble was so upset about having to tap out to the Rear Naked Choke that Van De Kamp locked in that he fired his management team as soon as he finished his shower and is now a Free Agent, hoping that a new start will help revitalize his career! Van De Kamp earned the SUBMISSION VICTORY as well as Submission of the Night honors!

UNDER CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: “WJ” WILLIAM JOSEPH (26-12) versus “THE FIREBALL KID” TAKANORI GOMI (12-8-2)

Joseph dominated, plain and simple, be it standing or on the ground. Neither one of these men could decide if they wanted to stay standing, go to the clinch, or fight on the ground! Joseph outclassed Gomi on all the judges’ cards and was awarded the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

GAMMA #391: WILLIAMS versus ROOK REVIEW written by Furious Styles

APRIL 20, 2014 WOMBLEY ARENA, LONDON 93,607 ATTENDANCE

Hello good folks, I hope all of you are well and enjoyed the mixed martial arts action you witnessed! GAMMA had another explosive and electric event at the Wombley Arena that left the crowd breathless and wanting to see more of course! The Super Heavyweight Title was on the line and everyone was very excited that it was the very first battle of the night, so without further ado, let’s get down to business!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: SIMON WILLIAMS (35-9-1) of CONVICTED INC. versus YURI ROOK (25-20) of the CAVEMENS ASSASSINS CULT

Williams’ fists were on point, Rook wasn’t able to take this fight to the ground, and eventually, Rook paid for those failed takedowns rather painfully! Williams went to work on Rook’s body with devastating kicks and rib-rocking punches that sucked the energy right out of Rook. A sharp left cross from Williams cut Rook above his right eye and soon after, Williams landed a booming right cross that floored Rook like he was hit by a car!

To his credit, Rook got to his feet quickly but it was evident that he was in serious trouble. Williams methodically worked his way back into close range and dropped Rook again with a vicious left uppercut then pummeled Rook into unconsciousness! Williams earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY and this battle was deemed the Fight of the Night!

MAIN CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: “RUSTY” RUSS RUTGER (34-15-1) of the FINNFIGHTERS versus “THE SANDMAN” HOLDEN GRACIE (30-12-1) of GRABTHE.INFO

After a brief exchange in the standup game that saw each warrior land a solid shot on the opponent, Rutger surprised Gracie with a quick right cross that cut him above his left eye! Rutger then soon afterward took the fight to the ground where he controlled the action but failed to lock in a submission due to Gracie’s defensive ability.

Rutger again took the fight to the ground in the 2nd round after a pretty even affair standing up and worked his way into a quick side control position then landed some brutal ground-and-pound until a thunderous left elbow dazed Gracie! Rutger went full mount and dropped bombs until the ref jumped in to stop the fight! Rutger earned both the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT as well as the KO of the Night!

MAIN CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: EJNAR THORSEN (17-4-1) of the LEGION OF PAIN versus “KOROSHIYA” ICHI IJIMA (18-13-1)

Both fighters were very aggressive from the start and wound up in the clinch very early. Thorsen took some strong strikes from Ijima then unleashed some of his own pain on Ijima! It was apparent that both men were struggling to land clean strikes as they both have great defensive techniques, however, it was the failed takedown attempts from Ijima that slowed him down. A failed jump into guard attempt from Ijima created distance and when Ijima got to his feet, Thorsen blasted Ijima with a nasty left cross that dropped him and Thorsen wasted no time pounding him out until the ref had no choice but to stop the fight! Thorsen earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

MAIN EVENT FEATHERWEIGHT UNDERCARD EVENT: “THE WHORSEON” LIK ALOTADIK (15-4-1) versus “TERRIBLE” TYRONE TORNADO CPW (27-12-1) of GRABTHE.INFO

After absorbing a jaw-crushing right uppercut that sent him back against the cage, Alotadik woke up and overwhelmed Tornado with his aggression and skill in the clinch, earning the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: “THE PURPLE STRIPE” PIERRE TRUDEAU (23-10-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “THE BOY WHO LIVED” HARRY POTTER (24-12) of FAT CAMP

The majority of this fight was a clinch war that could have gone either way in the 1st round, but in the 2nd round, a stifling jab dazed Potter and Trudeau finished him off with a faked leg kick into a Superman Punch! Trudeau earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: SAMPSA “MALICIOUS” SILOPOSKI (41-21-2) versus GLENN CARSON (27-15-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Carson tried to take advantage of his Red Belt level BJJ, but was unable to and this lead to very bad things or him! First a stinging 1-2 punch combo from Siloposki opened a cut above his right eye then Siloposki locked in a tight clinch, devastated Carson with a savage left uppercut, then a massive right knee to the skull floored Carson! Siloposki was all over him like white on rice and the ref had to stop the match, giving the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY to Siloposki!

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: MARSHALL NOIR (22-9-2) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “COCAINE IS HULLAVA DRUG” RICK JAMES (16-11-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Another inter-Alliance battle is in the books and let me just say this: I think Rick James’ nickname is meant to read “Cocaine Is A Helluva Drug”, but then again, what do I know? Well, I know that Noir earned the bragging rights in the Legion of Doom for this victory over James! Noir took this fight to the ground, and after failing to make James tap, he moved to full mount then dropped bombs on James until the ref had no choice but to stop the fight! Noir won by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: CHARLIE “DARKNESS” MURPHY (15-8) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “THE FIGHTING FLAT TOP” JOSIP RUZIC (39-17-2) of the LEGION OF PAIN

It seems the Dave Chappelle show theme was in full form on this fight card as Murphy was in action. Murphy dominated the 1st round, opened a cut on Ruzic’s forehead in the 2nd with a nasty left knee to the head, and finished strong in the 3rd to win by UNANIMOUS DECISION!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: TONY “TIGER” LAMOTTA (21-13) of the CAVEMENS ASSASSINS CULT versus “THE DIVINE GUITARIST” JIMI HENDRIX (19-13) of THE BROKEN HALO PRIDE

Lamotta rocked Hendrix’s world with a snapping left head kick but Hendrix survived the round! Lamotta tagged Hendrix with a right head kick that floored the guitarist but he got up and finished the round. In the 3rd round, Lamotta’s hands finished the punishment when he rushed Hendrix after a brutal right hook and the ref stopped the match! Lamotta won by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT!

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT EVENT: “LOS EXTRANJEROS ILLEGALES” TICO CORTEZ (19-10-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “THE KING” DANIEL MOREIRA (21-13-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM

I wonder if the Legion of Doom is having an inter-Alliance competition or something because they fought one another a lot on this card! Cortez was the better fighter on the ground where the vast majority of this fight was spent, and he earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY as well as the right to brag at the next Legion of Doom barbecue party!

GAMMA#397 Williams vs Stoppers top 5 fights review

On the 11th of May, GAMMA rolled into Wombley Arena in London for its 397th show. The 93135 fans in attendance and the 213,065 fans that bought the PPV witnessed 7 finishes in 10 fights and some all-round great MMA. Let’s get to the top 5 fights of the evening and see how they panned out.

Glenn Carson vs. “Koroshiya” Ichi Ijima

Representing the Legion of Doom alliance and managed by John McGuirk, Glenn Carson held a record of 26-15 and a 1-1 record in GAMMA before his fight against Ijima. He brought some of the best grappling in GAMMA, possessing a red belt and some top notch wrestling as well as being a world class boxer, the one thing he lacked however, was a good Muay Thai game. If he was to be exposed it would be in the clinch. Ijima is managed by Ed Soreass and is not part of an alliance. He held a record of 18-12-1 and a 2-1-1 record in GAMMA. Ijima is an Olympic level wrestler as well as a black belt in BJJ with respectable stand up skills.

Now the fight itself was an interesting one as in the first round it was Ijima who tried to take the fight to the floor on three occasions but Carson showed great takedown defense, that was until Ijima shot in but got the clinch instead, after taking a few shots he landed a beautiful hip toss into side control. He didn’t really do much on the ground and after a while the ref was forced to stand them up, Carson then instigated a clinch and scored some nice little hooks to the head and body of Ijima until the round ended. Round 2 was more of the same, Ijima looking for a takedown with Carson happy to clinch up. After a referee stand up again from the floor and some more clinching, Carson began to unload with damaging shots in the clinch and kept striking him until the ref was forced to step in and call an end to this fight.

To take away from this fight Ijima needs to find a way to make his takedowns less predictable as from 4 shot takedowns he scored none and in 15 attempts to drag the fight to the ground from the clinch he only scored 2. If he plans on fighting on the ground he will need to improve in that area for his next fight. Carson showed great control from the bottom and improved his position 4 times from the bottom. He also showed a powerful clinch game as he scored 12 head strikes and 6 body shots eventually finishing the fight from there.

Result: Carson via TKO (punches) 4:44 round 2

Ejnar Thorsen vs. “The Hammer” Semmy Kasteel

Coming, into this fight Thorsen had a 17-4 record with 13 (T)KO wins with a 9-4 record in GAMMA, showing great power for a middleweight. He is one of the best boxers currently competing in MMA, and his wrestling is good enough to keep him upright. He is managed by Mike Thomas from the Legion of Pain alliance. Kasteel, managed by James Listerman from The Corporation, came into this fight with a 22-9-1 record and a 3-0 record in GAMMA. He brought a Muay Thai game to rival most people with good boxing and wrestling as he has picked up 13(T)KO wins.

The fight itself was an absolute 3 round barn burner. It started with both guys getting in some good shots and one of Kasteel’s punches cut Thorsen. Both guys were doing a good job of landing when they went aggressive but still both were managing to stick and move avoiding a lot of shots. Kasteel managed to secure a clinch that was maintained until the end of the round, both guys were trying to end it early inside the clinch but they were failing at landing anything significant, it was a very close round but Kasteel probably took the round. Round 2 starts with Thorsen missing a body shot but then securing a clinch that lasted over 4 minutes with, again, both of them trying to do damage, Throsen with his punches and Kasteel with an 8 pointed Muay Thai attack. After 4 minutes Thorsen broke the clinch only to immediately secure it again. Thorsen comfortably took this round. Round 3 starts with a brief exchange in which Thorsen lands a good shot to the body before securing the clinch but breaking it fairly quickly, both guys missing a fair few of their shots. The fight ended with likely Kasteel winning the stand up exchanges with a higher hit percentage, landing 19 shotsto the head and body combined and Thorsen landing only 6, but hitting 5 leg kicks. The clinch was almost even as Kastell landed 7 knees and 13 punches and Thorsen landing 20. The decision was read and 2 judges scored it 29:29 draw and Phil Scholfield scored it 28:29 Kasteel, ruling the bout a Majority Draw.

Result: Majority Draw(29:29, 28:29, 29:29)

Keast Kann vs. Daiju Kikuchi

Kann coming into this fight had a very strong grappling background with a black belt, but he also possessed a good standing game with some crafty boxing. Managed by Hendry Andria and having a 2-0 record in GAMMA with a 32-26-1 record with 24 finishes. Kikuchi, managed by Per-Åke Fagerström, also possed a 2-0 record in GAMMA and a 10-4 record overall. He had a very strong Muay Thai game also with a black belt but prefers to stand evidenced by his 7 (T)KO wins.

For the 1st minute of the first round Kikuchi was having his way standing with Kann as he stuffed a takedown and countered very well. After 1 minute Kann shot in and got a great takedown straight into side control, Kikuchi managed to get back into guard before the round ended but Kann was throing a lot of ground and pound. The round ended with Kikuchi trying a triangle which Kann avoided but in the ensuing scramble Kikuchi managed to get on top in guard. An easy round for Kann with 4 minutes of top control. Round 2 starts with Kann swinging 7 punches but landing only 2 before he secured another takedown. Again he wanted to work ground an pound but only landing about 1/3 of his shots. Kikuchi then got into butterly guard which he used to land a great sweep into half guard, Kikucki stalling from the top made the ref stand them up. It wasn’t long before Kann got another takedown, he stayed in top position until the round ended. 2-0 so far in favour of Kann, Kikuchi had to finish. Under a minute in, Kann got another takedown, throwing less than damigin ground and pound. Kikuchi trying for and armbar to no avail then trying a triangle that was very tight but Kann picked him up and slammed him to the floor. Now it was Kann trying for a kimura which Kikuchi defends. Kann then closed out the round landing ground and pound. Judges score it 30:27 for Kann in a fight he dominated on the ground. Hitting 4 of 5 takedwons and landing 21 shots on the ground out of 65 and kept a good base on top of Kikuchi throughout. Kikuchi was to tentative in the stand up landing only 6 standing stikes but his accuracy was very good as he threw 10 shots.

Result: Kann via UD(30:27)

“The Chosen One” Usain Watts vs. “Kraven the Hunter” Sergei Kravinoff

Watts, holding a 12-8 record in GAMMA and an overall record of 40-18, is managed by Tycoon Legend and is a world class boxer with 20 wins via (T)KO. Kravinoff, managed by the great Lance Templeton representing Convicted Inc was making his second appearance for GAMMA where he held a 1-0 record and a 10-3 record overall with all wins coming via finish. He holds a stand p game to be feared with some of the best mix of boxing and Muay Thai, he also isn’t too shabby at the whole grappling thing as he holds a black belt.

Early on, Kravinoff was hitting the body with success with kicks and punches. Watts tried to shoot in for a takedown but was deinied. They exchanged and felt each other out for a while but then Kravinoff showed great power as he landed a left then a right that sent Watts tumbling over onto the floor, Kravinoff let him back up but Watts was wobbly and had been cut. Kravinoff showed great patience not rushing in for the kill as he went back to the body before clinching. He then proceeded to land a lot of head punches. The end came when Kravinoff landed a huge knee before landing another before the ref waved off the fight. Kravinoff landed 13 body shots including kicks that seemed to wear Watts right down and landing 12 head shots in the clinch befoe landing 2 brutal knees in the clinch that finished the fight.

Result: Kravinoff TKO(strikes) 4:58 round 1

Simon Williams (champ) vs. “The Power” Willy Stoppers

This was the main event for the 265+lbs title in which Willaims was the defending champion. Williams had a 12-3-1 record in GAMMA, and he has held both the 265lbs and the 265+lbs title in his time in GAMMA as all but 4 of his fights in GAMMA weren’t for a title, before the fight his overall record stood at 35-8-1 with 32 finishes by (T)KO. Williams is managed by Lance Templeton, a legendary manager representing Convicted Inc. Stoppers was making his GAMMA debut in this fight but his record stood at 35-14 with 33 finishes by way of (T)KO. Managed by Jesse Wolf in the alliance Children of the Law of One. Both fighters have shown in their careers almost identical fight styles with both being excellent boxers with an all round good skill set, but boxing being their main weapon of choice.

The fight began with Williams trying a low kick but Stoppers with a three punch combo that had Williams backing up. Williams got cut by Stoppers with an uppercut. Both fighters were throwing good punches and kicks then Williams got an excellent takedown into side control. Stopper worked from the bottom with a nice escape and taking Williams’ back then Williams reverses position and lands back on top in Stoppers’ guard. Stoppers was controlling from the bottom which made the referee step in to stand them back up. Stoppers the went to work on Williams using a mixed attack of power sots to the head and kicks to the legs and body, all this while avoiding Williams attacks. After hitting some nice body punches on Williams, Stoppers unloaded a huge right hand that sent Williams flying and then hit another massive overhand right that sent Williams down and out. Stoppers showed great accuracy throwing 23 strikes and missing only one and showed good position awareness on the ground. Williams didn’t look himself as he was out maneuvered at each turn and struggled to land any head punches. Williams hinted at retirement in his post fight speech but all eyes are now on Stoppers to see if he can defend his new belt.

Result: Stoppers via KO(punches) 4:08 round 1

That’s all from me folks, until next time,

GAMMA#398 Uusisto vs. Talley

On the 18th of May 2014 GAMMA treated 93185 fans in attendance to 2 title fights, the welterweight title between Jurmas Uusisto and KJ Talley, and the middleweight title between Fred Ettish and Jose Rozemblit. Lets see how the top 5 fights of the evening unfolded.

"Kaschey" Artem Bessmertin vs. Garrett "Lil B" Bukovsky 170lbs

Bessmertin - 15-7(1-2)

Manager - Klatz Matz, Steel Penn Alliance

Specialities - Ground specialist, Black Belt and Olympic level wrestler

Bukovsky - 13-8 (0-0)

- Bragi Ragnarson, Cold Blooeded Killers

- Olympic level wrestling skills, Very strong boxing game

This fight would not appeal to everyone as I was mainly contested in close quarters. Throughout 3 round both fighters were tied up in a clinch game that neutralised each other. In round 1, Bukovsky initiated the clinch and Bessmertin took him down, after a ref standup both were straight back to the clinch and remained trading a few short shots until the round ended. Rounds 2 and 3 were more of the same with Bessmertin scoring 2 takedowns during the fight and controlling the action in the clinch. It wasn’t the best of fights but it was still a win for Bessmertin, who also landed the higher percentage of strikes in the clinch.

Result: Bessmertin via UD (30:27)

"Big Bad" Mk Ultra vs. Riel Dan Reyes 170lbs

Ultra - 39-19 (1-2)

- Thor HGH, GRABTHE.INFO

- Well rounded, experienced, good finishing power (23 (T)KO wins)

Reyes - 26-5 (0-0)

- Michael Knight, Polish Eagles Nest

- Excellent ground skills, BJJ black belt and elite wrestling skills

This was a clear striker vs grappler matchup, with Ultra wanting to strike and Reyes wanting to grapple. Well, for 2 minutes of the 1st round it looked like Ultra had a good sprawl and brawl strategy as he stuffed a few takedowns and was landing some good shots. Reyes was persistent though as he eventually drove though and got a takedown after tasting his own blood that is. This was the story for 3 rounds as Reyes continually ground Ultra and landed enough ground and pound to not force the ref to stand them up. Ultra did a good job of landing strikes on the feet though but he couldn’t stop the takedowns throughout the fight and it cost him big time, back to the drawing board for Ultra and upwards and onwards for Reyes.

Result: Reyes via UD (30:27)

Mizushima "Giant Head" Muroi vs. Tamias Poochyena 265+lbs

Muroi - 20-11 (3-1)

- Ed Soreass

- Elite striking skills and top notch wrestling

Poochyena - 28-15-1 (3-0)

- Seppo Koskinen, GRABTHE.INFO

- Well rounded elite stiker and wrestler

Round 1 opened up and there was no feeling out process as they started swinging, with Poochyena getting the better of Muroi but Poochyena started bleeing first. From there the round consisted of clinching and breaking of the clinch and more clinching. Round 2, was more of the same, good striking match and Poochyena dominating the clinch. Round 3, Poochyena landed a head kick that sent Muroi kissing canvas but he regained his senses, he got back up only to be greeted by an uppercut that had him on wobbly legs, Poochyena sensed blood and landed a head kick and followed up with punches on his dazed opponent that forced the referee to step in

Result: Poochyena via TKO(kick and punches) round 3

Jose Rozemblit vs. "Coquettish" Fred Ettish 185lbs TITLE FIGHT

Ettish came in wanting the title, as did Rozemblit. It was a mainly striking fight for 5 rounds, with the grappling being initiated by Rozmblit who won some rounds based on his grappling attack. His striking wasn’t bad but Ettish was just much better standing, he found openings to strike at the legs which severely hampered his opponent then got in a few good punches. He did a very good job of avoiding hard punches and mixing his striking up, and stuffed most of the takedown attempts. He won the fight with a hard fought back and forth war after five rounds

Result: Ettish via UD (48:47) and NEW CHAMPION

"The Brown Norge" Jurmas Uusisto vs. KJ Talley 170lbs TITLE FIGHT

The last fight was a predominantly exciting stand up fight. This fight showed the finer elements of the ground game. Talley had a hard time defending the takedowns of Uusisto and used them to hold top position all for the rounds. It looked lie Talley might stage a comeback in round 4 with his striking and managing to stuff some takedowns but it was back to business in the following rounds for Uusisto who continued his relentless grappling attack. It was no surprise when the scorecards where read

Result: Uusisto via UD (49:46)

Interview for Jt Colossus

Hello Jt! Great to have you in the studio for a few questions about your career.

Question #1 39 wins, 29 have come via KO/TKO. Which KO was the most satisfactory during your time in GAMMA?

JT: So many good wins... SO many losses! Ha. I know this is corny but every win I get lately is my favorite.. I'm almost 40 and still knocking out blokes.

But let me put it in perspective; with GAMMA I have fought a total of 27 fights. I've headlined 8 cards. People love to see the Colossus fight and they know that one of two things is going to happen... 1) Colossus is going to knock someone out in vicious fashion or 2) The Colossus will get knocked out in a very violent way. But there's no finesse, it's swing for the fences and see who's left standing.

Question #2 You have had 27 fights in GAMMA already and have went up against some of the biggest names such as Simon Williams, Fidel Duberry, Yuri Rook, Arvydas Sabonis, Mark Makers, Kenichi Shirahama among others, but which win would you say was the biggest in your career with us?

JT: Kenichi Shirahama was probably my biggest at the time. We've fought each other for about 7 rounds total... I knocked him out once, he knocked me out once. I owe that man another KO!

Question #3 You was on a 2 fight winning streak before you lost to veteran Evander Holyshit in your last fight, what went wrong in that fight?

JT: Well, the gameplan wasn't the best... see, my manager, Boondock, is a real piece of work. I don't want to get into specifics but I definitely believe it was a fight I should have fought differently and won.

Question #4 In your upcoming fight you will be up against another GAMMA veteran in Jesse Venturia, what do you think your chances are in this fight?

JT: Let's put it this way: Venturia has 30 KO's, I have 29. Venturia has BEEN KO'd 22 times, I've been KO'd 21 times.

SOMEONE is getting knocked out. I think we'll go in there like banshees and hit each other in the face until one of us has our lights turned out.
What better way to celebrate my 40th birthday!

Question #5 You just signed a new deal for 3 more fights, but at 39y of age, would you say that your career could be coming to an end?

JT: Hell no! You watch, In those three fights, I will prove that the Colossus puts on shows and wins matches. I plan to fight until I'm past 40. GAMMA has been amazing to me and we've both profited quite nicely. Love the promoters and wouldn't leave for anything.

Last month saw us celebrate our 5th birthday! The 4th year of our existence was without doubt a break out year for us in every sense.

We started off June last year a solid top 10-12 position in the rankings, with occasional cameo roles in the top 5-6. My first goal was to add a 145lbs and 155lbs division. I generally hated the lower weight classes (something i took with me from real life), however with the popularity of the lower classes rising, we had to make the push eventually. We started off with the 155lbs division in the summer of 2013 and added the 145lbs division late in 2013.

Our next major goal was to secure PPV level revenue. Due to the lack of this revenue we could not compete with the top dogs in terms of salaries and that was stopping us from moving up the rankings. It took us several months of testing and millions in trial and error. We also had to sacrifice our 2 event per week schedule and cut around 20-30 fighters to eventually get there. By the end of the 2013 year we were pulling off regular PPV level events every week.

Our next goal was to expand our roster depth, especially on the top end. We had around 25 top 1000 p4p ranking fighters last June and rarely anyone in the top 100 p4p, so that needed to be improved. We slowly built up, adding top level talent one by one and by the end of the year we was already at 50 top 1000 fighters. Turn of the year with the closing down of Versus and merging into GAMMA gave us another instant push to around 65 top 1000 p4p fighters. At our peak in May we were in the late 70s which surpassed any org in the game in terms of depth of talent. We was also #3 in terms of top 100 p4p fighters at one point.

By this time we had enough talent on the roster to run 2 events per week and around late March we did the unthinkable of moving away from 1 event per week to 2 events per week. I like to keep a large roster and run regular fights, so with just one event that was not easy. Obviously we are sacrificing 1 or 2 places in the org rankings for this and potentially more profits, but i think that it is worth it. Rankings and profits were never my main concern anyway, as long as we are competitive i am fine.

In April 2014 we kept our differences behind us to found the very first Olympics together with the 8 top orgs in the game including Evolution, Ascension, Syn, TTFC, CEC/CW, Agressive Damage and Sisu. Although there were several technicalities and weeks of debating and discussion, eventually we decided on a format and the Olympics took place on time. The Olympics overall were/are a great success with possibly the greatest interest from the community since the legendary "Original" Syn Millionaire tourney.

Personally i was not too happy with our own performance in the Olympics as an org, i think we can do a lot better. However i expected us to stumble because we do not have a 135lbs division, our 145 and 155lbs divisions are newly created, so the only divisions i had a hope for were 170 to 265lbs+. We had a couple of upset losses in the first round and in the end only 3 of our fighters made it to the semi finals, 2 are fighting for Bronze this week where as Kenichi Shirahama brought home the Silver medal in the prestigious 265lbs division.

Despite our relatively poor performance in the Olympics, We continued our legacy regarding top super fights and in June 2014 Kenichi Shirahama earned our 100th super fight win! Our current super fight win/loss record all time stands at 102-48-2. If GAMMA was an alliance it would rank among the top 5 ranking alliances in the game in terms of win %.

Going into our 5th year, the things i can guarantee is that GAMMA will continue to be the most active and organized org in the game. Consistency and continuity is what defines who we are. We are not the flashy org, we are very old school. Our booking style is based on hype/pop + p4p rankings and not on personal preferences. We will also continue being the org our managers love but our rivals hate and that won't change this year.

I would like to personally thank all our managers which have been with us and supported us over the past 5 years. We have had our ups and downs for sure, but a lot of you guys were with us in the downs as well, so i salute you all!

I would also like to say that recently i decided to upgrade my VIP membership for yet another year, so you are stuck with me :-)

I am proud to have GAMMA legend and future hall of famer to our studios, Usain Watts! Welcome here Usain, so lets get started!

Question #1 It is quite remarkable the level of competition you fought in GAMMA. Virtually all of your fights were up against current of future Hall of famers. You also had a few rubber matches as well. Which GAMMA duel was the most interesting to you?

Usain: Thanks for having me Mentor. Man I have had a couple of really good duels, so it's hard to pick a favorite. But I'd have to say Mr Sexual himself..... Fred Ettish. He's got 2 KO's on me & won the 3rd fight in a 5 round war, all 3 fights won FON honors. I would love one more crack at Coquettish. Do you know what that means by the way? If you don't..look it up.

Question #2 You joined GAMMA at a later stage in your career but have still amounted a decent run of 24 fights. Do you regret not joining earlier?

Usain: Q2: I've always fought in the big leagues my whole career. Back in my Hilo days, I fought for Blitz & Reach but when I joined Team Fight Club, Tycoon Legend signed me to GAMMA. I wanted to fight the best guys & the best guys were at GAMMA.

Question #3 You lost 2 fights to Raz Matazz and then Keith Green for the title, but eventually beat Josip Ruzic to finally win the title, however did you expect to become a 2 time champion beating Ejnar Thorsen?

Usain: Q3: Ejnar Thorsen has heavy heavy hands Mentor. After he KO'd me in the 1st fight I thought I was probably done. But when I won the rematch, I was as shocked as the bookmakers. Winning the GAMMA strap twice were the greatest moments of my career.

Question #4 Your next fight is against up and comer Kris Hong. Kris is 14 years younger at 24y of age! How does that feel going up against these new generation talent?

Usain: Q4: Kris who? Ha ha! I haven't fought one of these next gen guys yet. Looking at his record, he hasn't fought very hard opposition so far. It will be my pleasure to test his chin for Topo. Wink ;)

Question #5 You are 38 years old. Are you feeling a bit tired by now or do you still have the desire to keep doing this?

Usain: I'm just taking it one fight at a time for now. I have the desire but Im not sure if my body feels the same way. A lot of my teammates at Team Fight Club have been retiring in the last few months. We'll see what happens.

It has been a busy period for GAMMA over the past 3 months. I have put in a lot of thought about our general direction and understood that we need to make a few changes in our format. With the closing down of the GAMMA: Contenders run by long time partner Rogerio Cottonfloss, we had to look into new directions to develop our younger talent. We had an attempt with a project in Vegas which did not go too well due to activity issues, so we decided to simply start with a totally new org.

This is the 5th incarnation of our GAMMA Rookies!!! The first was created as far back as January 2010. The newest GAMMA:: Rookie org will be run by Alexander Goldberg. He worked together with GAMMA as our event sponsor for a few months and took that company to top #1 spot. This will be the first time he ran an org and is ready for the challenge. This new org will function totally different from any rookie org in the past. It will have an "initial" 230k ID restriction, however every month the restriction will increase by 2000 ID spots. This means that next month (September in this case) the ID restriction will increase to 232k. This means that this org will always have a group of fighters which is under 21y of age. The best of these fighters will get promoted to an intermediate level org. Here is the link to the new Las Vegas Rookies org:

GAMMA is also expanding into South America as well. In general i like to keep us compact and not over spread, however after long discussions and negotiations, The Brazilian Fighting Association has agreed to affiliate itself with GAMMA in Rio. BFA will run independently for the most part, however any truly exceptional talent will either get promoted to GAMMA directly or join our intermediate org in Vegas, depending on how ready they are. Running the BFA will be Wayne Bruce who has experience in running businesses in London. This will be his first foray into the org business. Here is a link to the org:

This is the second time GAMMA has had an intermediate level organization, our previous incarnation (the GAMMA: Battleground) was orientated towards veteran fighters which no longer were on form, giving them a place to fight to try to get back on track.

The new GAMMA: Contenders org though will focus on top level up and coming talent aged around 21 to 27. A lot of the talent for this org will be supplied via our rookie org(s), however we will be also actively searching for the best young talent around the world as well. Like the GAMMA: Rookies this org will also have an ID restriction starting from 180k but not over 230k. This means that we also have a minimum cap as well! Every month the ID restriction increases by 2000 in both directions.

Owner of the new GAMMA: Contenders will be Gerbert Bryant. He is one of my ex-mentees and someone with a lot of experience running Disobedience in Sydney for several months. He will be responsible for events, booking and financials. Backing him up will be 2 managers. Poppa Grande, which will be responsible for PR and member interaction. Poppa has experience in participating in 2 Las Vegas orgs including the current TKOMMA. Responsible for recruiting will be newcomer Max Heavyhand to complete the team.

All the orgs will be under my own guidance, so i expect that they will be some of the best run organizations in the world. I have confidence all managers will perform to the top level.

If you have a fighter based in Vegas under 230k, contact Alexander for a contract:

If you have a fighter based in RIO under 230k, then contact Wayne for a contract:

Wonka Interview

Hello Willy, great to have you in the studio with a few burning questions for the fans!

Question #1: You joined GAMMA when they just formed the 145lbs division; however you previously spent time in the 155lbs division, why did you make the decision to move down to 145lbs?

Willy: The decision to move to 145 just seemed like the right move. I had a good run at 155 in a respectable org in London, moved to Vegas to join GAMMA, won one at 55 and had some dude get stuck in an airport somewhere and had a no contest in the next one. But the level of competition in GAMMA was so much higher than I had experienced before. I took a couple fights in the GAMMA: Contenders organization and just dominated there, but still didn’t feel like I was at the same level as the top 155’ers in GAMMA. But when they merged with **fill in name of other org here** and started a 145 division it seemed perfect and I jumped at the opportunity. And I’m glad I did, I feel so much quicker and healthier now. I’ve switched to a completely Vegan diet and if the truth be told, I’m only a couple pounds off from making 135 now. So if they ever open a 135 class I may have to become a threat in 2 divisions!

Question #2: You spent time in the GAMMA in the GAMMA: Contenders before signing a permanent long term deal with GAMMA, do you recommend young, up and coming fighters to first develop their skills in the Contenders or develop on the independent scene first?

Willy: I definitely recommend the Contenders org. Not only do you get to fight in Vegas, which is like the fight capital of the world, but if you do well you have a direct pipeline to one of the top fight organizations in the world. The independent scene is a racket. I have got friends who kicked ass but bounced from one org to another because you never knew what you were going to get, as far as match ups or fight frequency. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that they’re aren’t good orgs out there; but as a young fighter the stability of a feeder org can’t be beat and let’s face it, the gym selection in Vegas is the best in the world. I mean I was almost 25 when I had my Contender fights, and the independent scene can be great if your established and can draw a good wage, but not for a young kid. Better to be competing with other guys around your same level then bouncing around.

Question #3: You had a title fight with Auguste Grimm in your first 145lbs bout, a fight you lost. Do you feel you can once again get to that form and compete on the top levels of the division?

Willy: Absolutely, don’t forget I won the next 2 after that. I know my last couple fights haven’t been up to expectations, mine or my fans. But I feel like I still have it. That loss to Alotadik, man it kind of messed with my head. I had so much emotion tied up in that fight that I lost my focus. And I think it carried over into my next fight too. But I started seeing a sports psychologist and she really helped me get my head right, and now I feel like I’m back to my old self and ready to get back on track.

Question #4: The 145lbs division is wide open, Diego Sanchez just lost the title and we have had several title exchanges already. Who do you think the best fighter in the division is at the moment?

Willy: Me, of course. I don’t mean to sound arrogant or anything, but as a fighter you have to believe that you can beat any man out there or you’re in the wrong business! I’m not taking anything away from these other guys, and the old adage stands that in MMA anyone can beat anyone else on any given night. But I honestly think I can beat any man in the organization given the right preparation and game plan.

Question #5: You have an old rivalry with Lik Alotadik, you both exchanged some harsh words about each other in the past via the public channels and twitter. You had a critical fight between each other to decide who represents GAMMA at 145lbs for the Olympics a fight he won. What went wrong there and are you looking for a rematch at some point?

Willy: Well actually it was for 135 division in the Olympics, which is one of the reasons I can almost make that weight now. Well, like I mentioned earlier I was too emotional and lost focus. And I’ll admit he was a lot better than I expected on the ground, so… I guess I relied too much on what I knew about him from when we were young, and didn’t pay enough attention to what he had done since. Me and that guy go way back, like to the beginning of my career in London. But really, he was never a threat to me on the ground, but he was able to defend and get back to his feet better than I expected. I don’t know what else to say. A rematch is always a possibility, but I’m not looking for it specifically. It’s true I don’t really like him, so I’d welcome another shot at him, but my focus is on the title. If he gets it before me or I need to get through him for another shot at it, then great. But I won’t go out of my way for a rematch.

Question #6: Lik performed above expectations in that event getting to the Bronze medal fight. Do you think he deserved to get there and what do you have to say about Lik?

Willy: Well that’s the thing about fighting in a tournament isn’t it, you only advance by winning so who deserves what doesn’t really matter does it. Just who beats who. But what do I think about him? I think he’s the same street punk who wandered into the gym I trained at in London all those years ago. Listen there are 2 kinds of people who compete in professional MMA; you have martial artists like myself who love the beauty and competition of martial arts and who try to live Bushido, and those who think they are tough guys and just want to compensate for their low self-esteem by punching people and reinforcing their tough guy self-image. I’ll let you guess which Lik is.

When he first showed up I tried to help him out and get him on the right path, but he didn’t want help. He wanted to run his mouth, backstab people, and show off what a tough guy he was. He’s a rude, disrespectful, loudmouth, asshole. But he can fight, the Olympics proved that. And If I can get on a soap box for a minute, everyone nowadays seems to have forgotten that you don’t have to like someone to respect them. At least in their capacity to perform a job. Do I like him or respect him as a man, HELL NO; but do I respect his ability as a fighter, well we all saw what happened when I didn’t.

Another night of high octane fight action, put on by the MMA powerhouse GAMMA, yet again has fight fans roaring for more around the globe. This was a night for the big men to shine with no more than 5 Super Heavyweight bouts for the 93,318 strong Wombley Arena crowd to admire, and shine they did.

Kyle Carlton 29-5-0 Def. Kenichi Shirihama 28-13-1 Via TKO(2:31 Rd3). Another knockout victory for the heavy handed Carlton who has achieved the same result in all of his victorious professional fights. Carlton nearly finished the fight after just over a minute of the 1st round, a booming left right combination landing and stunning Shirihama only for Carlton to wave him back up to his feet. However, Shirihama wasn’t going to be taken out so easily gathering his senses for the rest of the round, managing a sweet double leg takedown in the process. The second round started and Shirihama had obviously gained a lot of confidence from his takedown and listening to the advice of his corner managed to land another takedown early in the round, this time a single leg into the guard of Carlton. He was unable to cash in on the dominant position though as Carlton was able to show his ground game controlling Shirihama long enough for the referee to call for the fight to return to the feet. The two men exchanged some good blows for the rest of the round with Carlton connecting a solid uppercut which rocked Shirihama, who then recovered and finished the round with a last second take down. Shirihama started the third round visibly tired from the sheer juggernaught style of Carlton. After toying with his opponent for 2 minutes Carlton finally landed the decisive blow a booming right hand which sent Shirihama to the mat, Carlton swarmed in landing shot after shot until the referee stepped in.

Renan St. Juste 35-12-1 Def. KJ Talley 17-5-0 Via KO (2:52 Rd2). The more experienced St.Juste will of came into this fight a little wary coming off a cut stoppage in his previous bout, and his worst fears where soon realised after Talley managed to open a cut before the round had even reached one minute old. He dug deep throughout the rest of the round though, both men exchanging some heavy blows and whipping the crowd into a frenzy all the while. St.juste’s corner where calling for him to work his clinch game in between rounds and the fighter showed his ability to remain composed coming in for a clinch early in the round. It proved a touch of magic as he was able to put doubt into his opponents mind and after Talley failed in his attempt to pull guard, St Juste showed his class. Mixing punches with some vicious leg kicks, he beat up Talley until a big right hand rocked him and sent him to the canvas. Talley showed a true champion spirit bouncing straight back to his feet but he was in survival mode and a monster hook from St.Juste turned his lights out and he flopped to the canvas like a landed salmon.

Mizushima Muroi 22-13-1 Def. Marcus Ulpius Traianus 34-17-0 Via KO (1:58 Rd1) Another bout with 2 knockout specialists was only going to end one way. Muroi started this fight the more sharper with Ulpius Traianus looking as though he was trying to figure his opponent out , he never got the chance. Muroi pressed the action with some slick striking opening his opponent up with a cut before landing a nasty head kick to floor his opponent. The crowd audibly shocked by the power of the shot which was replayed on the big screen for all to admire. A true highlight reel finish.

Preliminary bouts:

Tamias Poochyena 30-15-3 Def. Frank Rosenthal 30-18-2 Via KO (0:17 Rd2)
Yngve Ingvar 27-10-1 Def. David Charles 9-4-0 Via TKO (2:48 Rd 3)
Allen Robinson 13-4-0 Def. Atte Peltola 17-13-1 Via Decision (Unanimous)
Jesse Wolfe 27-15-0 Def. Zack SkyShriek 26-17-2 Via Decision (Unanimous)
Project Pat 22-15-0 Def. Aleksanteri Karelin 17-11-0 Via Decision (Unanimous)
Freddie Mercury 22-9-2 Def. Michael Proctor 3-1-0 Via Decision (Unanimous)

Russ Rutger has become only the 10th fighter in GAMMA's history to hit the top 10 p4p ranking spot among fighters and is also ranked #1 among all 170lbs fighters. Russ is managed by legendary Finnfighter Marky Mark and has been on fantastic form for GAMMA since joining us from Versus winning 6 fights in a row since coming. His streak also includes wins over future hall of famer Vladik Fedotov, top contender Riel Dan Reyes and ex champions Jurmas Uusisto and Cole River. The win over Jurmas must of been extra sweet since he previously lost to him 2x while in Versus, one of those was for the title there before joining GAMMA. He will be up against his old nemesis for the 4th time in August after Jurmas rebounded with a good win over in form Yeshua Immanuel.

Kyle Carlton is managed by top ranking Andy Mugler and has been on a missions since joining GAMMA. One of the best starts to any newcomer going 3-0 against some of the best the org has to offer. All of his fights have been title fights against Willy Stoppers, Anderson McGinley and Kenichi Shirahama and all ended in stoppages in favor of Kyle. His next fight will be against another newcomer in the image of Mac Tyson, another heavy hitter. Kyle has been considered one of the best fighters the game has ever seen, claiming the #1 spot back in 2013, his only loss until losing to Victor Creed was against another GAMMA legend and ex-#1 pedigree Anton Chigurh. He recently renewed his GAMMA deal and hopes to go for a long title reign.

Evander Holyshit Questions

Hello Evander Holyshit, it is great to have you with us in the studio and the fans are dieing to hear about your latest news, so lets get started!

Question #1: Evander, you have had a great career so far fighting in top level orgs around the world such as TTFC, Ascension and Syn, why did you decide to join GAMMA?

Evander Holyshit: I’ve been there and done that in other orgs so it was time to see where is stood in GAMMA, plus ya’ll offered me the highest contract

Question #2: Your career has totally been revived under new manager Norman Reeves, what is the difference between your new manager and your old manager Sean McDonnel? Why are you performing so well now?

Evander Holyshit: Not saying anything bad about my old manager but I feel like Norman utilizes all of my skill a little better and is a little more strategic in figuring out the perfect gameplan for each opponent instead of just going in there looking to bang.

Question #3: 4 wins out of 6, but the 4 are in a row, which is an impressive streak. How long can you keep this run going?

Evander Holyshit: Until I lose I guess LOL But seriously this is the best I’ve performed in a while so I would be nice to string a few more together and maybe get one last title shot before calling it quits

Question #4: Your last win was over George Foreman, a fighter you lost to in your GAMMA debut, how does it feel to get the revenge win?

Evander Holyshit: It feels great to get that win back, only wish I woulda stopped him. Our first fight was my first fight in quite some time and my first under my new manager Norman. I was full of ring rust and Norman was a bit more inexperienced back then. But we have since then became a hell of a team

Question #5: You are 35y of age, do you still think you have what is needed to perform at the top level? Or maybe your career is coming to an end soon?

Evander Holyshit: Absolutely, for now I still have plenty of juice to go. This old dog still has plenty of fight left in him.

Question #6: There is a lot of competition in GAMMA at the moment in the 265+ division, but who do you think is the best fighter?

Evander Holyshit: In a division full of tough fighters I’m gonna have to say that there is no one man that sticks out as the best to me, put it like this, there are only two other fighers in the whole division who have won 4 or more fights in a row and one of them is my next opponent, Mark Makers. So I don’t think there is a “best” fighter in the division

Cole River Interview

Question #1 Already 10 fights in GAMMA Cole, you must already be feeling like a veteran after joining the org at a young age?

Yes I feel like one of the old guys around here even though I am only 29. I have had some wars with some of the best GAMMA has to offer. But that is why I am here, I want to fight the best. Win, lose, or draw anyone in GAMMA gets in the cage with me they better be ready, because I will be!

Question #2 You have already had an impressive career in GAMMA after already winning and defending the 170lbs title. The win over Renan St Juste must of had an extra something to it after losing to him in your debut?

St Juste has been around GAMMA since 2012, anytime I can get in and compete with a man like him I am happy, but winning and getting back a loss I had before is even better. I will say this, no one at 170 better take him lightly he can still beat any of us if we don't come in with a good game plan.

Question #3 The GAMMA 170lbs division is very deep and you have already been in several battles. You lost a couple of major fights recently, both for the title against Jurmas Uusisto and Russ Rutger. What went wrong in those fights?

Well I think the first thing that went wrong is I got hit. Then I got hit a few more times. Hell was probably kicked some. Taken down and rolled around like a ball. I am not sure but at one point I think I even got touched in my dirty place. Now all kidding aside, those guys are tough. I just hope to work my way back to a rematch with each of them at some point.

Question #4 They both face up against each other soon. Who do you think will win that fight?

Both guys are good. I would have to go with Jurmas as my pick to win, I have fought a lot of tough guys and he is the only one to finish me so far. I will be watching that fight close, it is one I really cant wait for.

Question #5 You recently signed a long term deal with GAMMA keeping you in GAMMA until at least 2014. What was the deciding factor for you to stay?

I like GAMMA, it is a well managed ORG. They keep the fighters busy, and have lots of talent to go against. I know Mentor was taking a beating a couple months ago. I think everyone deserves a second chance and he has always been good to me. So when he offered a new contract I never considered not signing it.

GAMMA is proud to announce the induction of 3 of their greats to the "World GAMMA Hall of Fame".

John "The Misanthrope" Galt (83309)

Fought in GAMMA from 2012-07-14 till 2014-03-09, managed by Edward Banger. His record inside GAMMA was 13-10-1. He is a 205lbs title winner with one defence. He had 7 fight of the night awards while in GAMMA while headlining 3 events in total. His biggest wins were over Degen Gambler (2x), Hannibal Die Rücksichtslos (2x) and Kalesh Nikov. If you remove his first couple of fights and last 5, Galt would be on a 12-4-1 record inside GAMMA, when in his prime he was an extremely consistent fighter and had several top level fights against some of the best in his time. Never backed down from a battle against anyone.

Karl "The Hurricane" De Groot (53034)

Fought in GAMMA from 2013-09-08 till 2014-06-27, managed by Klatz Matz. His record in GAMMA was 8-3-3. He is the first ever 155lbs title holder with 7 title defences. He had 7 fight of the night awards, while also headlining a total of 2 events. Biggest wins were over Peter Cabreros (x2), Glen Starner, Virgil Cid. Highest ranking p4p was 41. De Groot was the keypin of the newly created 155lbs division, the guy everyone else tried to beat. He was also part of the Olympic team. He has the distinction of drawing 3 times in a row, 2 of which were for the title against Mr Black for the title who he eventually lost to retiring from the sport.

Simon Williams (58148)

Fought in GAMMA from 2013-05-12 till 2014-05-11, managed by Lance Templeton. His record in GAMMA was 12-4-1. He is a 265lbs and 265+lbs champion with 6 title defences. He had 13 fight of the night awards and also headlined a total of 17 events. His biggest wins were over Fidel Duberry, Buster Grimes, Tony Mendez, Kenichi Shirahama (x2), Carter Johnson and Anderson McGinley. His highest ranking p4p was #6 and he came #2 for GAMMA fighter of the year and #2 for 265+ Tycoon fighter of the year. Simon was a KO specialist, all his wins (besides 1) were via KO. He headlined every single event he participated in and held multiple PPV records while in GAMMA. His only negative was his performance in super fights (1-2). He retired from GAMMA ranked inside the top 100 p4p after a loss to Willy Stoppers making him the first fighter to retire while still being ranked so high.

GAMMA #422 Review

We had a great action packed event in the LA Memorial Collesuim on August 10th. A near sold out crowd with 93,526 people attending.

The first fight was between Kyle Carlton(30-5) and Mac Tyson(23-9)

Kyle Carlton TKO'D Mac Tyson in Round 2; He cut Tyson with his vicious clinchwork landing punches like nobody's business. He dominated the first round without any problems at all. Second round was not so the same. Carlton was cut by Tyson with punches in the clinch. Then Carlton started throwing a monster amount of punches to Tyson and Tyson got rocked and gets dropped to the canvas and Carlton finishes Tyson. I predicted Tyson would win, but i thought it would be the end of round 2. Carlton dominated. He is surley a threat in GAMMA.

The next fight was between Jimmy Snuka(22-8) and Sick Puppy(21-11)

The first minute of the first round was really just this: Puppy attacks, Snuka blocks. But then the action started. Snuka got a takedown on Puppy. Snuka grounds and pounds on Puppy like there is no tomorrow. Puppy gets beats sensless but before he has brain damage, Snuka goes for a submission attempt but it doesn't work. Snuka then contintues to beat Puppy back to 1987 and is forced to tap out do to strikes. I honestly thought Sick Puppy was going to win by a Flying knee but boy was a wrong. Jimmy Snuka beat puppy like a drum. I could not belive it.

The next fight is between Kurt Meyer(34-19) and Lan Mandragoran(22-10)

Early in the first round Meyer was cut. Meyer couldn't get any offense going missing all his punches and clinches and everything he tried. Mandragoran's boxing realy paid off for him as Meyer's cut got worse and worse. Mandragoran scored a knock down with an uppercut from hell. The doctor stepped in and saw that Meyer looked like spiderman with all his cuts. Mandragoran dominated and Won by TKO. I predicted he would win just like this.

The next fight is between Max Hatred(17-5) and Adis Djurdevic(25-14-2)

There was a lot of action in and out of the clinch in the first round. Nothing really got dangerous for either of the fighters. Hatred got the round. Round 2 was a lot of the same. But it got dangerous when Djurdevic got the takedown and went for a submision 3 times. He failed all 3 times. Close round on that one. Hatred got the round but i would disagree. Round 3 was a complete standup battle both fighters trading shot, after shot, after shot. I thought somebody-I couldn't tell who- would get knocked out. Hatred took that round after a close battle which i again, disagree. Round 4 was a standup battle for most of the fight but there was some slight clinching and unclinching at the end. Djurdevic got the round easy. Djurdevic one the fight by Split Decision. I was kind of rooting for him the whole time but it was a heck of a close fight.

The next fight is between Marcus Ulipus Traianus(34-18) and Fat Gorilla(8-4)

I'm rooting for Gorilla here as he is the definite underdog. Round 1 started off crazy. MUT gets cut early. Gorilla clinches and dominates the first minute. MUT's cut has gotten worse by now. He is groggy and to put him out of his misery, Gorilla knocks MUT straight out of his inner self and drops him like your mom does a vase when she sees a spider. WOW Gorilla laid the Smackdown on MUT. I can't belive it.

GAMMA #423 Review

We had a great event In Wombley Arena In London on August 17th. Here are your top 5 fights for the event.

The first fight was Willy Stoppers(39-15) managed by Jesse Stoppers VS JT Colossus(41-30) managed by Boondock the Destroyer

In round 1, Stoppers knocked out Colussus out cold without any trouble. Stoppers was going full on aggressive mode and Colussus didn't get any offense going making it very difficult for him to have a chance of winning. He got knockdown and by that time, you knew it was already over. I thought it would have been much much closer.

The next fight was Mizushima "Giant Head" Muroi(23-13-1) managed by Ed Soreass VS Luke Kilpatrick(20-6) managed by Killer Bamza.

Round 1 Muroi TKO'd Soreass easily. Muroi cut Soreass badly scoring a knockdown and finishing. Not much to say here, except SOreass did not show up to fight.

The next fight was between Sergei Kravinoff(13-5) managed by Lance Templeton VS Juan Tamad(19-12-1) managed by Mike Hunt

Kravinoff Knocked out Tamad in round 1 being the agressor and scoring the knockdown. The only thing to say is that Tamad didn't defend.

The next fight was between Allen Robinson(13-4-1) managed by John Mc Guirk VS Ben Zanotto(22-11-1) managed by Jay Stoner

In round 4, this fight was ended by majority decision after COUNTLESS AND COUNTLESS amounts of action mostly in the clinch by both fighters. These 2 fighters really gave it there all but neither of them could never get a distinct advantage to convince the judges.

The next fight was between Dick Hunt(21-18-1) managed by Mike Hunt VS Raz Matazz(48-20-2) managed by Face Kicker

This fight ended in a draw after great rounds of continuous action. Matazz got cut and he was looking for submissions the whole time but never got it. I wish he would have one but the judges were never convinced he won. GREAT FIGHT

Alfred Hammarskjold Jesse Venturia TKO (Strikes) 1 03:40 265+ lbs 4 Frank Rosenthal Freddie Mercury TKO (Strikes) 4 04:16 205 lbs 4 Hendrik Daross Asano Arai KO (Punch) 1 04:11 265+ lbs 4 Marcel Clasie Ivan Priebcko TKO (Strikes) 1 02:36 145 lbs 4 Daiju Kikuchi Corbin Murphy Decision (Unanimous) 4 05:00

Dong Ming Pak Interview

Question #1 - 27 fights so far Dong and you have never been finished Via TKO/KO, it is safe to say you have one of the best chins at 145lbs would you say?

Answer #1 -For sure, I really thank my older brother for that...(he laughs) The rough housing as we grew up, oh boy! I remember one time, he held me down and smashed my head in the fridge door over and over again.. My ears rang like xylophone.

Question #2 - Your career has started a little rocky so far, lost 2 and won 1 in GAMMA, what went wrong?

Answer #2 - That's all stats man! The first fight in GAMMA I was super excited, butterflies and all. My head wasn't fully in the game. And I still pulled a split decision out of it!! I know seen the one judge batting her eye lashes at Samurai Jack the whole fight, HEY JACK!!! Hope you got rid of those crabs by now!! After that I destroyed Murphy, and then... Wonka, spamming is for noobs my friend!! That fight still isn't sitting well with me, so I am not going to gabber on about it... But I am ready to bounce back from it, make that climb to the top!!

Question #3 - Your next bout is against ex-145lbs champ Auguste Grimm, do you think you have what is needed to get the win in this fight?

Answer #3 - I really have a lot of respect for what Grimm and what he has accomplished in his career in such a short time. I have been training hard, hitting the weights and a lot of sparring but, I can't really give away all the details.. We've study Grimm inside and out, and we won't stop til this one is stopped!

Question #4 - There is a lot of talent at 145lbs, however Which fighter would you say is the best of your division at the moment?

Answer #4 - There is a lot of good fighters, the champ is a beast but out of all the division if Diego Sanchez decided to bring his "A" game I really don't think even myself could come out on top.

Question #5 - You have quite a few fans in GAMMA, what would you like to say to them in regards to the future?

Answer #5 - Since day one I have always brought my best game for the fans, with a total of 5 submissions of the night, haven't be finished 7 years and have never been knocked out.. I will carry this on for years to come and I hope you all will enjoy the ride!!

Gamma is proud to present GAMMA#427: Snuka v Cid at the LA memorial colossuseum in Los Angeles on September 6th. This is an amazing card full of blockbuster matches; two of which happen to be title fights.

Point Fighter (8-3-1) 0-1 Gamma vs "Maniacal Mauler" Ryan Sonnen (23-16) 0-0 Gamma

Point Fighter is coming in as the younger less experienced fighter and he lost his first and only fight in Gamma so he'll be looking redeem himself with a win here tonight. Fighter has proven to have some good stand-up and a solid chin but I think he'll need to take this fight to the ground and submit the older more experienced Ryan Sonnen to pick this one up, Ryan on the other hand will be coming into this with much more experience. He'll have to keep this fight standing by defending the takedowns of the younger fighter and look to light him up with strikes. I think the decision maker in this fight will be where this fight ends up!

Prediction, fighter: Unanimous Decision

Aleksanteri "The Siberian Bear" Karelin (18-11) 3-4 Gamma vs Jesse Venturia (33-30) 22-23 Gamma.

Jesse has the advantage in almost every aspect of this fight and should be able to put away the Siberian bear. Karelin's best chance is to take this fight to the ground and try to maintain control to pick up the decision. Jesse had good cardio and an elite stand-up ability, he should be able to wear down Karelin and finish him.

Prediction: Jesse Venturia (T)KO round 2

Pops Cama (15-7-1) 3-2-1 Gamma vs Tasos Ieronymakis (12-6) 3-4 Gamma

Both of these gladiators love to finish their opponent with strikes. These guys match up very evenly; the only big points of difference is that Pops has been brought to decision three times and Tasos has only one decision, Tasos also has better BJJ than Pops. I believe Tasos should win this fight with strikes, though Pops does have the ability to pull off the upset.

Prediction: Tasos Ieronymakis (T)KO round 3

Christian Hackenburg (12-4-1) 1-1 Gamma vs "Riiviö" Pyry Perkele (23-10-0) 5-4 Gamma

Both of these guys once ranked amongst the best p4p fighters in the world and each will want to use this fight as a springboard back toward the top positions in the world. These two are both finishers and neither are fond of their fights going into the judges hands. I believe this fight is going to have a huge finish for us. Pyry is a bit more well rounded in his stand-up ability and I believe Christian will have it on the ground. Although, Pyry has three submissions victories under his belt. Due to his more well rounded nature I feel Pyry Perkele will find a way to win this close contest.

Prediction: "Riivio" Pyry Perkele Unanimous Decision

"Spaced" Pegg Frost (27-15) 0-0 Gamma vs David "The Mink" Charles (10-4) 10-4 Gamma

Another clash of two top finishers! Frost has not proving to have a very strong chin in his fights being KO'd 5 times and TKO'd 4 times in his career. However, he is very heavy handed and has secured a total of 19 victories by knockout. His opponent is coming in with 7 knockouts and has never been KO'd in his career. This battle could honestly go either way but I believe Pegg's power will be to much for David and he'll walk away with another finish.

Prediction: Pegg Frost (T)KO round 2

Kevin "DEPOP KING" Garnett (35-17-3) 0-0 Gamma vs Umberto Sotto Jr (16-9-0) 0-0 Gamma

Both of these elite strikers are coming into this fight with winning streaks. Sotto is the more skilled but has also lost because of his chin before. Garnett is a tough guy with a great chin. I believe Garnett will win with a close decision victory by using accurate punching and evasive movements.

Prediction: Garnett by unanimous Decision

Mark Makers (25-13-0) 25-13 Gamma vs Anderson McGinley (20-8-0) 3-3 Gamma

These super heavyweights are both heavy KO specialists. They love to stand and trade big shots; Makers is much tougher than McGinley though and that should elevate him to victory and McGinley will likely want to stand and bang with Makers which will in turn get him finished.

Prediction: Mark Makers (T)KO round 2

"Little" Mac Tyson (23-9-0) 0-1 Gamma vs Lan "Aanallein" Mandragoran (22-10-0) 6-3 Gamma

Tyson will be looking to win this one to even his record out in Gamma after his frustrating (T)KO loss against Kyle Carlton but he'll have to get through the much younger Lan Mandragoran to do it. Lan definitely seems to have an advantage in the skill department but Mac is better equipped physically! I honestly believe that this fight could go either way!

Prediction: Lan "Aanallein" Mandragoran Decision

Ein Stein (19-5-1) 5-1 Gamma vs "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik (18-6-1) 5-0 Gamma

Ein Stein will most certainly have his hands full tonight in this first title fight of the night as he goes up against "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik! These men are two of the best lightweight fighters in the world and when they clash, you know it's going to be one for the history books folks. Lik comes into this with a huge advantage in the stand-up department as most of his fights have come by (T)KO. Ein Stein is a great striker himself but is also known for submitting his opponents. I expect these guys to battle it out through to the final bell unless Lik can place a well timed counter attack!

Prediction: "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik (UD)

"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (22-8-0) 9-3 Gamma vs "The Wizard" Xavier Cid (34-13) 1-0 Gamma

This is the last match of the night and this lightweight championship bout is between two of the best fighters in their weight class and that is seems to be the only thing these two fighters have in common. Jimmy is a great ground fighter with a large amount of victories by (T)KO from mount as well as a few submission victories. Xavier is a great striker but is not known for finishing his opponents. Xavier is going to wanna keep this fight standing and avoid being taken down by the ground specialist. Prediction:

"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka submission round 3

Ein Stein (19-5-1) 5-1 Gamma vs "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik (18-6-1) 5-0 Gamma

Ein Stein will most certainly have his hands full tonight in this first title fight of the night as he goes up against "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik! These men are two of the best featherweight fighters in the world and when they clash, you know it's going to be one for the history books folks.

GREAT FIGHT

Alfred Hammarskjold Jesse Venturia TKO (Strikes) 1 03:40

265+ lbs 4 Frank Rosenthal Freddie Mercury TKO (Strikes) 4 04:16
205 lbs 4 Hendrik Daross Asano Arai KO (Punch) 1 04:11
265+ lbs 4 Marcel Clasie Ivan Priebcko TKO (Strikes) 1 02:36

Raz retired today and i would like to keep it just to the basic facts:

-GAMMA Hall Of Famer.
-5 years in GAMMA.
-#1 in most fights with 68 total fights for GAMMA, (63 inside GAMMA cage).
-#1 in most total wins inside GAMMA with 42, (46 if you count super fights).
-22 fight winning streak which ended after losing to the best fighter ever Jeremy Tonal.
-26 title fights.
-The only fighter to ever win a title (185lbs) on 4 different occasions.

While few can doubt who was the best overall fighter in GAMMA's history, Raz Matazz was easily the poster boy of the org fighting exclusively for the org for the better part of 5 years. Nobody in the game has come close, in fact most orgs have not existed as long as Raz Matazz has fought in GAMMA!

Raz will leave a legacy that will be very tough to beat. It will need a very diciplined fighter joining GAMMA very early to come close to the records Raz has set. That said, Frank Sinatra could beat his total fights record inside GAMMA if he manages to complete his current contract as he is sitting on 59 total fights at the moment and is 2 years younger than Raz is, so it is not impossible.

Either way, Raz will always be remembered for his contribution to this historic organization.

Russ is on fire! Since joining GAMMA from Versus, Russ has been totally unstoppable, going 9-0. In fact the 170lbs division was arguably our strongest when Russ joined and he had to get through some top competition in the likes of Cole River, Adolf Ellenberger, Jurmas Uusisto, Riel Dan Reyes and Vladik Fedotov.

In fact Russ ia currently Russ is 16 out of 18 wins. The only 2 losses came to the same fighter Jurmas Uusisto which he has since beaten twice. In fact the last loss Russ had was in October 2013 against veteran Zhao Zhuo!

The last win Russ had was against Cian McGarrity. It was that win that moved him into the #1 spot among 170lbs fighters and #4 in the world! This is the highest ranking GAMMA fighter for the past year. The last fighter to rank higher than Russ was Renan St Juste which ranked #1 in the world last September.

Russ will be defending his title against up-comer Marshall Noir on the 4th of October in London Wombley Arena. Noir is on a respectable run himself winning 7 of his last 9 fights, so this should be a serious challenge for Russ which will be defending his title for the 4th time.
