On 16 May, 2015, the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, managed by the always productive Mentor Corleone (3503), presented the GAMMA#481 Boyko vs Iron event, for the viewing pleasure of screaming MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at LA Memorial Colossuseum in Los Angeles, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas.

This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 4 knockouts and 5 decisions (1 being split) and a submission. It also hosted one Title fight at 155 pounds between Fernando Prado and Krystian Wojnasiewicz for the Lightweight Championship. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the ravaged cadavers, and for those of you with the taste for it, all the crushed testicules, and spinal-cord pulling details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=828836

185 lbs fight between "The Hammer" Semmy Kasteel (124259) and Craig Rave (78157)

Rave lands first and then gets a takedown and starts working for a submission but Kasteel reverses him and then is stalling and controlling and basically hanging out waiting for Rave to lock up a submission and they can go home? Maybe Kasteel has an early date or something? Eventually the referee stands them up, and Rave is after the takedown but taking plenty of time to throw some kicks and Kasteel is landing counter strikes and stuffing takedowns. Round 2, Kasteel's corner must of told him to stop playing around and lets get it over with because his early date has called and is ready to go because Kasteel cracks Rave on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rave falls backwards against the cage. Kasteel follows up with more strikes that drop Rave to his knees. Game over !

Results: After 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Semmy Kasteel!

205 lbs fight between Calvin Johnson (137439) and James "Jimmy" Holmes (151992)

Holmes is working the body and both are throwing kicks, Holmes more leg kicks and Johnson is mixing them up nicely. Johnson is cut by a jab and clinches up, but Holmes lands again so he lets the clinch go and is chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick. Things are NOT looking good for Johnson but suddenly things turn around and Johnson lands a left and a right that send Holmes crashing to the mat, dazed! Holmes stands and he is cut and rocked and both men are bleeding and the fight is ON ! The end of the round arrives with both men working the body. Round 2, Holmes straight to the clinch and then a takedown. Holmes is throwing GnP but not much is landing and the referee stands them up and Holmes is throwing head kicks, but is having trouble reaching Johnsons head so he kicks him in the crotch hoping to get the head down where he can kick it I guess? Round 3, Holmes is still kicking, but missing most of it and then clinches. Johnson cant seem to get anything going and breaks the clinch. Holmes is still kicking and Johnson drops Holmes with a beautiful combination! Johnson waves him up and when Holmes kicks again Johnson sends Holmes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Oh LORDY this is not good...Holmes gets up all wobbly with more than a minute to go....just as it looks like we are gonna hear the final bell, Holmes is rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Johnson then unloads a vicious overhand right sends Holmes face first into the canvas! Now THAT Ladies and Gentlemen is whats called a BEATDOWN.

Results: After 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Calvin Johnson!

265+ lbs fight between Johnny "Burger King" Boy (97752) and Holy Jenova (183005)

Jenova came out swinging and actually knocked Boy back into the cage like he was a 4th grader, but Boy stayed with his game plan and took the war to the ground which is his stronger area, despite Jenove having better skills there. Boy immediately started throwing GnP like it was on sale, and it wasn't long and Jenova was cut. Both men trying for a submission, but Boy was more focused on GnP and next we know Jenova is rocked by an elbow but manages to get back into full guard. Boy regains half guard and opens Jenova's cut real bad and the blood is everywhere...and it's a no-brainer when the doc stops the fight.

Results: After 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Johnny Boy!

185 lbs fight between Hektor Troy (160259) and Arstan "The Bold" Selmy (196913)

They both come out kicking like little bitches and Troy is counter-kicking while Selmy is throwing leg-kicks and an occassional combination, and it appears its Troy who is landing more. They are really going at it and its a great first round but Troy likely took it. And that pretty much sums up that fight...a great battle for sure but with Troy landing 47 strikes to Selmy's 31 strikes landed I think there is 1 judge musta had his scorecard upside down or something...

Results: The judges see the fight differently at 29:28/28:29/28:29 in favor of your winner, by split decision... Hektor Troy!

155 lbs fight between Yngve Ingvar (140275) and "Lightning Kid" Atlas Kivi (134572)

Kivi the elite ground fighter surprises us by coming out kicking, and Ingvar lands a shot and cuts Kivi. Kivi continues to be the most active and aggressive, but Ingvar is patiently picking his shots and making them count. Kivi maybe sensing that his intense attacking style dont seem to be working gets a takedown and is throwing GnP. But Ingvar is still playing the lay and pray game even they are on the ground now, and when Kivi misses a big strike, Ingvar snags him with a triangle choke, transmissions to an armbar and its OVER ! Nice submission work...very nice!

Results: After 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yngve Ingvar! Ingvar was awarded "Sub of the night" for this performance.

185 lbs fight between Flavio "Il Principe" Lazzarini (169781) and Atte "Teufel" Peltola (177978)

Peltola the wrestler, comes out boxing and cuts Lazzarini with the 1st punch of the fight...and then a couple body shots and BAM ! Lazzarini ducks straight into an uppercut from Peltola and hes down! Cut and knocked down in less than 30 seconds is NOT a good start. But Lazzarini dont seem all that hurt and as he wiggles around trying to avoid the GnP he manages to reverse Peltola and start his own GnP action. They really go at it and impress the referee so much he allows them to stay in the ground war for a full 4 minutes! Round 2, Peltola is cut by an uppercut a minute into the round and Lazzarini forces a clinch probably so he can get in close and work that cut with some elbow grease... They spend the rest of the round in the clicnh but when its all said and done they didnt land a hellofa lot. Round 3, Lazzarini looking to get a takedown but Peltola is defending nicely so Lazzarini settles for a clinch, and thats where they battle it out to the end of the fight.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Flavio Lazzarini!

155 lbs fight between Gennaro "Il Coltello" Gattuso (143909) and Will Genia (215703)

Gattuso the wrestler, defending the leg kicks from Genia the Muay Thai fighter, and probably waiting for the right opportunity to get a counter takedown. And eventually he gets the takedown and gets right to work with elbows and throwing GnP but Genia is defending nicely and Gattuso is having trouble landing. But they stay busy enough to keep the referee happy and its a ground war until the end of the round...which Gattuso dominated. Round 2, As you would expect Genia comes out kicking and Gattuso is after the takedown and in less than a minute he has it and is scoring some GnP and even tries a submission. But the referee aint happy and stands them up. Genia is kicking and landing and wanting to clinch so he can use that Muay Thai stuff, but the round ends with Gattuso taking it. Round 3, Genia kicking and wanting to clinch and he gets the clinch and gets a couple good shots in before Gattuso breaks free. Genia is coming on strong and cuts Gattuso with a head kick and then throws a front kick that sends Gattuso stumbling back into the cage. You have heard of a "beatdown"? well Gattuso seems to be taking a bit of a "kickdown". Gattuso knows he cant continue eating Genia's foot so he works hard and gets a takedown and starts throwing his own damage and Genia reverses him. Gattuso changes tactics and tries a submission and genia throws some GnP of his own just before the final bell.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Gennaro Gattuso!

265+ lbs fight between Kieron "The Chief" Radebe (183758) and Jules "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" Winnfield (211191)

Winnfield the boxer, being a "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" has 13 of his 14 wins coming by knockout and is sure to be doing some headhunting here. Radebe however is an elite boxer AND Muay Thai fighter with 17 of his 20 wins coming by knockout and will also most likely be looking for some head targetting as well. Ding Ding ! Radebe kicking and wanting to clinch and get Muay Thai busy, and Winnfield countering, but Rabade gets the clinch and starts throwing knees and cuts Winnfield. Long story short, Radebe used an entire arsenal and Winnfield had only his punches...and even if Radebe had only punches...he still outpunched Winnfield. But it dont really matter a damn because early in the 3rd round, Winnfield scores with a nice one two combo and Redebe is cut. Radebe returns the combination and Winnfield is rocked! Radebe attacks with another combo and Winnfield takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold as he drops! Radebe cracks him once more on his way down and its over and OVER. Wow that was BRUTAL !

Results: After 1:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kieron Radebe! Radebe was awrded "KO of the night" for this performance.

155 lbs TITLE fight between the Challenger, Fernando Prado (181926) and the Champion, Krystian "Wojna" Wojnasiewicz (159688)

Wojnasiewicz is an elite fighter with a weakness in BJJ and 21 of his last 27 wins are from knockout. Prado is a newcomer to the GAMMA org and carries 2 belts with him along with an interesting record, 11 wins and no losses. Most of his wins come by decision so I expect his cardio is top notch. Ding Ding ! Wojnasiewicz comes out strong kicking and kicking, and Prado is kicking as well as mixing in other strikes. Wojnasiewicz gets a takedown but his performance there was pathetic and the referee stands them up quickly. Prado is countering and defending nicely and Wojnasiewicz is looking kinda lame. Round 2, and its Wojnasiewicz with a takedown and Prado is controlling him like TOTALLY...and again the standup by the referee. Prado seems to be kicking more and Wojnasiewicz mixing in other strikes better. Before the round ends Wojnasiewicz with another takedown he cant do anything with... Round 3, They go at it and Wojnasiewicz gets a clinch and uses some of his Muay Thai skills and does rather well there, but Prado breaks free and they fight til the end of the round. Round 4, Pretty much a copy of round 3. Round 5, Prado with counters and combinations, and Wojnasiewicz still using a lot of kicks. And so it goes. A great fight but no fireworks.

Results: The judges see the fight slightly different at 46:49/47:48/46:49 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Fernando Prado! Fernando Prado is the new lightweight champion! This fight was awarded "Fight of the night".

145 lbs 5-round NON-Title fight between Crabby Iron (197131) and Timofey "Beast" Boyko (151666)

Boyko the Champion has won the last 9 fights is an elite Muay Thai fighter and Iron who is an elite EVERYTHING and carries a belt from Team Thomas Fight Club has stepped into GAMMA for a test run. It was a great battle and a split decision always gets a close look, and they say fight stats cant lie, so lets consult them. Zero ground war. Clinch war only thing worth mentioning is Boyko needs to practice his knees, and Iron didn't have any knees or elbows. The standing war saw Boyko land 78 strikes and Iron landed 84 strikes. Thats damn close for sure. Noticable was the overabundance of leg kicks by Iron who landed a whopping 46 which is over half his total strikes. No cuts or knockdowns so Im curious how the one judge saw two 10/8 rounds for leg kicking? Very interesting judging criteria I would say.... Must be the new math they talk about...

Results: The judges see this fight substantially different at 49:48/47:48/47:48 in favor of your winner, by split decision... Crabby Iron!

Until next time... GOODBYE !!! oh my...I farted...

On 16 May, 2015, the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, managed by the always productive Mentor Corleone (3503), presented the GAMMA#482 Bateman vs Danze event, for the viewing pleasure of rabid MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at the Wombley Arena in Lomdon, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas.

This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 4 knockouts and 6 decisions. It also hosted one Title fight at 265 pounds between Patrick Bateman and Billy Danze for the Heavyweight Championship. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the tossed-aside cadavers, and for those of you with the taste for it, all the broken backs, and stomach-stomped entrails can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=828837

265+ lbs fight between Jon "Bones" Pegas (129570) and Mark Makers (111282)

It starts with Makers throwing a left and a right and both miss...which was pretty much his story in this fight. Makers threw 53 strikes and landed only 18 of them and thats not very good. Pegas on the other hand not only threw more strikes, but landed a hellofa lot more to boot. Pegas did fine in the standing, but when it went into the clinch he simply tore that ass up, landing 42 of the 79 strikes he threw...and thats pretty damn good, and a decision would of been EASY except it came down to Round 3 opens with Pegas knocking Makers down with a hook and when Makers gets up, Pegas makes short work of things and...

Results: After 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Pegas!

155 lbs fight between Wolfram Stelzer (198888) and Jeff Gorden (143166)

Well...think Im gonna tell this story differently. There were a TOTAL of 31 strikes landed...thats BOTH fighters added together...yep...BORING. Yawn...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Wolfram Stelzer!

185 lbs fight between Allen Robinson (199380) and Sepp "Sub" Maier (86796)

This was a story about repetition...or perhaps we could say mindless pursuit of failure? It kinda goes like this... Maier shoots and misses and Robinson makes him pay and then...Maier shoots and misses and Robinson counters and...Maier has a takedown stuffed. and then...Maier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Robinson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Maier is rocked! But even then he continues the insane mindless pursuit of a takedown and get BEATdown until Robinson finds Maier's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! It was PAINFUL to watch this one-sided ass whuppin I shit u not. I understand Maier is a submission "artist" but you gotta bring more to the table....

Results: After 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Allen Robinson !

145 lbs fight between Meat Beater (174503) and "The Balled Of" Speedy Atkins (175107)

Can you say clinches? Atkins sure can...he attempted to "grab a hug" 45 times and was beaten off 39 times...damn that sounds disgusting! Anyway...he did OK there in the clinch, but not as well as Beater did. Beater outstruck Atkins in the clinch 2 to 1. And Beater outstruck Atkins in the standing as well, making it easy for the judges decision...

Results: All 3 judges agree the fight was 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Meat Beater!

185 lbs fight between "Lightnin" Lazaro Molina (183872) and Jax "Scarslutje" Teller (144166)

This was a kick fest and I bet both men were in wheelchairs for days afterwards considering each of them ate more leg kicks than any other strike. And there were other strikes! Both men used the entire arsenal, but Molina landed more and made the judges job reasonably easy.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Lazaro Molina!

155 lbs fight between Napoleon Dynamite (191238) and Josiah "the Spaceman" Bartlet (207713)

Bartlet the wrestler and Dynamite the boxer both are weak in BJJ but both were wrking to get takedowns and when they got them they both had GnP and submission attempts so that was interesting. Not much happening in the clinch altho Bartlet wanted to clinch badly enough he tried 12 times (got it 1 time) but landed only 1 punch there. All in all, it was another YAWN fight. Consider Dynamite outpunched Bartlet and had only 33 strikes landed, and you can see why the beer sales tripled during this fight.

Results: The 3 judges see the fight slightly different at 27:30/27:30/28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Napoleon Dynamite!

185 lbs fight between Bobby "The Black Knight" Bishop (186392) and Luca "scrapatutti" Turilli (131893)

No ground battle, very little clinch war and it was all about numbers in the standup. The numbers were Bishop with 78 strikes landed and Turilli had 35 strikes landed. That makes it easy for the judges...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bobby Bishop!

145 lbs fight between "The Worlds Most Dangerous" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (218431) and Umberto Sotto Jr (184807)

Sotto is the better trained fighter, but has a glass chin. al-Baghdadi isnt scared though and comes out swinging, and more importantly landing! al-Baghdadi is counter punching and kicking and using combinations and Sotto is kicking and eating what al-Baghdadi is sending at him and 2 an 1/2 minutes into the fight he gets served a head-kick ala carte desert delivered by al-Baghdadi free of charge.

Results: After 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!

170 lbs fight between "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (159898) and Marshall Noir (112792)

Both men being elite ground warriors it was no surprise they spent some time on the ground, but it WAS a surprise considering they both wanted to get to the ground that between them they tried 13 takedowns and got only 3. Thats kinda strange it seems to me. Guess its a macho thing to say who got the takedown...even tho with both being black belts in BJJ u would think they would accept being on the bottom more readily... Anyway...the more outstanding work done on the ground was by Snuka who landed 11 of the 21 GnP strikes he threw. There was no clinching but the standup battle damn near dead even with Snuka landing 17 punches and Noir landing 16 punches. So the judges seeing it a close fight for Snuka I have to agree.

Results: All 3 judges saw it a close fight at 28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jimmy Snuka! This fight was awarded the "Fight of the Night".

265 lbs TITLE fight beetween the Champion, "American Psycho" Patrick Bateman (180187) and the Challenger, Billy "Danzinie" Danze (149908)

Danze being an elite ground fighter with a 10 win streak before coming to GAMMA is up against the Champ. Bateman is an elite Muay Thai fighter with 27 of his 28 wins coming by knockout. So this fight is going to be all about WHERE they fight Im thinking. Danze lands first and gets jabbed and cut for his audacity. And its on like Donkey Kong...Bateman is after the body and Danze is also attacking and lands a beatiful spinning backfist. But its not to long and the power in Batemans body shots are showing as Danze seems winded. Just shy of a minute into the fight, Bateman lands a big right hand that sends Danze crashing to the mat! He waves him to his feet and seconds later delivers the coup de grace and cracks Danze on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Danze falls backwards against the cage. Bateman follows up with more strikes that drop Danze to his knees, and keeping throwing until the ref jumps in...Now THAT was a beatdown....

Results: After 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Bateman! Patrick Bateman retains his heavyweight title! Bateman was awarded the "KO of the night" for this performance.

Another fine MMA event brought to you by the worlds best...the GAMMA Organization! GOODBYE !

GAMMA is continuing their expansion into new regions. After several months of unparalleled success in New York and Las Vegas, we have decided to expand our operations into new cities.

The first expansion is connected to our New York organization (ID restriction 255k). GAMMA Kids NY has been running events only our of New York till this point, however in the upcoming months it will be running on average 3 events per week, with one extra event in Montreal and one in Amsterdam. We have already started recruitment in the other 2 cities. If you have interest in one of those 3 cities contact the owner Andy McKenzie for a contract:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=101467

Similarly our Las Vegas based org Romper Room Butt-Stompers, run by the famous ex-voice of GAMMA Rabid Alien, will be expanding his operations into Hilo and LA. To this point he has been running events out of just Las Vegas with an ID restriction of 260k. For a contract contact Rabid directly:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=102643

Our biggest announcement is the creation of a new org in Europe, the GAMMA: Europe Development League, which will be based in London but will run events out of Helsinki and St Petersburg as well. The ID restriction is 265k and the owner is long time employee at GREEN160! Conor McGregor. For a contract send him a message at:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/managerprofilemanager.php?MgrID=103301

Our "mid tier" organization, the GAMMA: Contenders, based and run out of Las Vegas by our long term partner Gerbert Bryant, has also went through some changes. We have removed the ID lower restriction and have instead added a high end ID restriction of 240k. This means we will be only recruiting fighters which are 0 to 240k. The goal is to sign peaked or close to peaked fighters only which are not quite ready to fight in GAMMA. The ID of 240k will increase over time to allow for graduates from our rookie orgs to join.

If you need a contract for one of your veterans and they are in the p4p rank ranges of 2000 till 5000, then contact Gerbert:

GAMMA#483 Stefans v Lafontier Review By Rabid Alien (102643)

On 23 May, 2015, the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, managed by the always productive Mentor Corleone (3503), presented the GAMMA#483 Stefans v Lafontier event, for the viewing pleasure of screaming MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at the LA Memorial Colossuseum in Los Angeles, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas.

This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 5 knockouts and 5 decisions. It also hosted one Title fight at 205 pounds between Charles LaFontier and Ted Stefans for the Light Heavyweight Championship. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the dismembered bodies, and for those of you with the taste for it, all the cracked ribs and twisted knees can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=829381

170 lbs fight beween Oberyn "The Model" Martell (156085) and "Knuckles" Aurelius Schultes (153269)

What can I say? Schultes needs to improve his striking, specially on the ground. He was swinging like a fan and I have a head cold from the breeze...62 strikes thrown and only 10 landed....my sister is more lethal than that. Martell could sharpen up also....throwing 91 strikes and landing 35 compared to the 10 landed by Schultes and I DONT have this a close fight at all. But the judges I guess were hot in this packed arena and appreciated the breeze provided by Schultes and so...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Oberyn Martell!

155 lbs fight between Augustus "The Last Prince" Belvedere IV (123199) and Crack "Saw" Hack (204584)

Two fighters evenly matched except Belvedere has better boxing skills, and that must of prompted the Hack Team to take the fight to the ground and Hack used a LOT of energy in 31 takedown attempts and actually got 6 of them. And Hack did pretty well there, landing 7 strikes and attempting 4 submissions. But he was unable to seal the deal and Belvedere manages to rock him with 30 seconds left in the fight and STEAL the deal with can u believe it? ONE second left in the fight! Belvedere go buy a lottery ticket man...

Results: After 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Augustus Belvedere IV!

145 lbs fight between Yuri Boyka (34136) and Sher Shah "the molotov" Suri (182892)

Both men having weakness in BJJ and pretty closely matched on thier feet I would of given the experience edge to Boyka with his 62 fights compared to Suri's 27 fights. But the youth/stamina/speed edge would go to 31 year old Suri compared to the 41 year old Boyka. So what happened? Well it was a clinch war. These teo looked like long lost lovers on viagara. They went into the clinch and stayed in the clinch. I havent seen some much masculine hugging since last years gay pride parade in San Fransico. Both men landed about the same in head shots and Suri was rocked late in the 3rd round. But it was the experienced Boyka who wisely slowed Suri down with 20 body strikes and simply outstruck him in the standing as well to take this fight in a commanding manner.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Yuri Boyka!

265+ lbs fight between Zeus "God King" Leonidas (219424) and Brian "Bad" Mason (206606)

Leonidas with an edge in the standing and the BJJ should of been able to end this fight before the final bell. The fact that he didnt says something I think about Mason's heart and determination. So what happened? Well as we could expect Mason wanted takedowns and made 15 attempts. But he wasted a lot of energy and got only 2, but at least when he was on the ground he DID something and landed 6 strikes as well as snuck in a submission attempt. But maybe all that energy wasted slowed him down and it was Leonides in the standing and clinch that outstruck Mason 3 to 1. Surprisingly we saw Leonides also with 2 takedowns and one of them was the always fun and seldom seen suplex. I think the judges job was easy on this fight...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Zeus Leonidas!

170 lbs fight between "Ill" Illias Illiadis (192937) and "The Force of Nature" Sami Sykloni (151785)

Neither man known for the knockout power, but Illiadis must of looked at Sykloni's record of 12 losses by knockout and decided if 12 others can do it, so can I, and he went out there head hunting. Sykloni was cut by a head kick at the 1 minute mark and rocked and then knocked the hell out by a perfect straight right hand from Illiadis and faceplants on the mat. That was brutal and what I call, "No F#cking around".

Results: After 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Illias Illiadis!

205 lbs fight between Yorick "The Last Man" Brown (178737) and Lars "Blitzkreig" Voller (183546)

In the BJJ arts these 2 fighters were evenly matched but the other areas it was in Browns favor. and it showed in the clinch where they were about evenly matched except Voller had the elbows to throw and cut Brown late in the 1st round. It was in the standing battle where Brown's punches pulled the victory by outlanding Voller 2 to 1.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Yorick Brown!

265+ lbs fight between Fat Gorrila (204973) and Iivana "Miltei" Jalo (191173)

Gorrila has heard the final bell only 2 times in his 24 fights and is blessed with KO power and cursed with a glass chin, but he has Jalo outclassed in every fight area except boxing where they are even. Jalo has a plastic chin and is in his debut fight with the GAMMA org. Ding Ding ! It starts out ugly and Jalo is cut by Gorrila's 1st punch. Two minutes later Gorrila knocks him down with a combination and is generally using Jalo as a punch/kick bag. Even in the clinch Gorrila was administering a beatdown and Jalo just couldn't get it together. In fact I think Jalo must have a lot of heart to of lasted until the 2nd minute of round 3 when Gorrila caught him bouncing off the cage and drops him with a right hook.

Results: After 1:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fat Gorrila!

170 lbs fight between Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (142862) and Kris Hong (204017)

No fireworks...but a bit of an arse whuppin for Hong who was outstruck 2 to 1 in a standup battle with over 100 strikes landed.

Results: The judges see the fight slightly different at 27:30/28:30/27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Diego Sanchez! This fight was awarded the "Fight of the Night".

185 lbs fight between "King of the Seven Seas" Arthur Curry (92326) and Ava "Q" Noel (181965)

Noel is an elite boxer with 15 of his 19 wins coming by knockout and Curry is a previous GAMMA belt wearer with 35 of his 50 wins coming by knockout. Ding Ding ! Noel lands 1st and is mixing strikes nicely with emphasis on leg kicks. Curry seems to be looking for the hole and defending and countering. Late in the 2nd round Noel is rocked by a Curry jab and shortly after that, Curry lands an uppercut and Noel falls backwards. Its over quickly.

Results: After 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arthur Curry!

205 lbs TITLE fight between the Challenger, Charles LaFontier (173319) and the Champion, Ted Stefans (182837)

These 2 have met before and LaFontier ate a TKO (Knee & Punches) from Stefans last December. So taking his belt from him tasted a LOT better I bet. So how did LaFontier do it? Well it sure as hell wasn't love at 1st sight but this was a war fought from the hug. Stefans landed first strike and LaFontier clinched right up tight for damn near the entire fight. They went at it hard and nasty with plenty of knees from Stefans and lots of elbows from LaFontier, but most impressive was LaFontier who landed 84 punches in the clinch and outstruck the Champ an incredible 94 to 11 !!! Apparently LaFontier likes 3 round fights because when the bell dinged for the 4th round he came out and clobbered Stefans with an overhand right and knocked him right the hell OUT. Now thats what I call a serious ass kicking and you dont see that kinda 1-sided performance in a Championship bout very often.

Results: After 0:05 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charles LaFontier! Charles LaFontier is the new light heavyweight champion! And Im not surprised to announce that LaFontier was awarded the "KO of the Night".

Well after a slam-dance of a fight like that to wrap up the night Im all pumped and can't even think about going home to sleep. Its PARTY TIME!!!

GOODBYE !!!

GAMMA#484 Cuenca v Keller Review by Rabid Alien (102643)

The ageless original GAMMA organization has once again produced an incredible event with top-notch fighters for your viewing pleasure. However you apparently could not make it so now you must read about in this review. Such are the complications of life, and hopefully I can visualize for you what those who saw it were seeing. If not, all the torso-stomping details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=829953. This event had 10 bouts with 4 knockouts, 2 submissions and 3 decisions and a draw. This event was produced by the "King of Globalized MMA, Mentor Corleone (3503) and sponsored by GREEN!160 (3879) a Nutritional company based in Las Vegas.

265+ lbs fight between Danny Volcanic (129651) and Ayrton Pena Milani (126112)

This was a hellofa fight for the time it lasted and both men were cut, but noticable was the lack of knee accuracy from Milani who missed 9 out of 9 knees thrown from the clinch. But it wasnt Milani's knees that made a difference. It was the fists of Volcanic that erupted on Milani's head that told the tale. Volcanic knocked Milani down at the 4 minute mark with a right hand and shortly after he knocked Milani right the hell out with a combination.

Results: After 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Danny Volcanic!

265+ lbs fight between K.J. Choi (127918) and Aleksanteri "The Siberian Bear" Karelin (185978)

This was a defensive fight which probably shows the respect each fighter had for his opponents KO power. It was about even in the ground and clinch wars but in the standing it was Choi who was dominant and landed 35 strikes to outscore Karelin with only 12 strikes landed.

Results: The 3 judges see the fight slightly different at 30:27/29:28/29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... K.J. Choi!

185 lbs fight between "The Lion Of Matema" Baraka Simengwa (192358) and "The Cannibal" Karl Denke (63718)

Simengwa coming off 3 losses in a row really needed this fight in his win column. Denke coming off 2 losses needed it as well so the smell of desperation was in the air for this fight. Simengwa stright in for the clinch followed by a takedown and soon as he can he gets busy woring for a submission...but Denke is comfortable defending and dropping in the occassional bomb or 2 and so it goes for the rest of the round. Round 2, and Denke decides he liked Round 1's ground war so much he goes for the takedown and right into Simengwaland. So Simengwa apparently in confusion from so much generosity sweeps and reverses and ends up on top. But he is a true Red Belt in BJJ and can probably submit a man on his feet so being on top is fine with him and he goes right to work and gets his well-earned submission.

Results: After 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Baraka Simengwa!

205 lbs fight between "The Boy Who Lived" Harry Potter (83976) and "The Cannibal" Karl Denke (63718)

Blaze is a ground fighter with 14 knockouts and Potter is a boxer with 19 knockouts. Blaze comes out blazing and with the 1st punch he has Potter stumbling and Blaze uses that opportunity to grab a clinch. Blaze is throwing more, but both are missing almost everything...hard to imagine they cant find the distance when they are clinched...but that seems to be the situation? Eventually the strikes start landing and Potter is cut by a knee and they spend the rest of the fight with Blaze clinching (10 out of 10) and Potter breaking clinch which kinda surprises me since he was pretty much beating hell out of Blaze in the clinch with 35 to 18 strikes landed. But perhaps he was worried about them sharp knees. Overall Potter landed 49 strikes and Blaze landed 38. So how the hell the judges see it so close must be a case of coulting clinches as same as strikes.

Results: The idiot judges see the fight 29:29/28:29/29:28. The fight is ruled a draw! Draw my ass.

145 lbs fight between Ein Stein (182566) and "The Candyman" Willy Wonka (159900)

Both men being ground fighters with Black Belts in BJJ this fight had high interest. But a bit surpiseing there wasnt a takedown right away. They actually came out swinging. Stein was looking for a counter-takedown, but the fight went to the ground when Wonka changed gears and went in for the double-leg. Wonka then proceeded to throw some GnP mixed in with an occassional submission attempt and Stein was happy to try submissions like they was on a 2 fer 1 sale. And thats exactly how the 2nd round went and most the 3rd round went. But Stein manages to buck Wonka off and take his back with 2 minutes to go, and after a couple attempts to get the choke, he finally manages it and Wonka taps !

Results: After 4:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ein Stein!

265+ lbs fight between Tio Malone (182171) Ashley Harrington (187234)

Harrington is an elite standup fighter and well-round ground fighter and Malone has ALL his 12 wins coming by knockout. But this is a re-match and Harrington knocked Malone out in their last fight, so this should be a barn burner full of action. Cats and dogs baby...they get right to business and Harrington is quickly cut and then a minute later is knocked down by a headkick. Malone lets him get up and is working the cut and its getting worse so Harrington grabs a clinch to try to smother the attack and Malone just steps it up, and with a minute and 1/2 left in the round he sets Harrington up with a left hand and then drops him down to a knee with an uppercut. Malone gets to his feet still in the clinch and against the fence and is trying to hold Malone's wrists to keep him from punching so he can get his head together, but Malone breaks a hand free and drops Harrington with another nasty uppercut and its OVER ! Seems to me Malone just made a statement regarding the loss from the last fight. I'm interested to see if Harrington will want to step into the ring a 3rd time with Malone.

Results: After 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tio Malone!

205 lbs fight between "The Purple Stripe" Pierre Trudeau (113658) and "I want to Vomit" Scotty Bennet (167187)

Bennet is a well-rounded fighter with a slight weakness in BJJ, and Trudeau is an elite wrestler. Bothe men interested in clinch war and they were about even in the standup, but Trudeau was the master in the clinch and outstruck Bennet 2 to 1 there. It was in the clinch where Trudeau drops Bennet onto one knee with a big uppercut and shortly after he worked his way back up to his feet, Trudeau snaps Bennet's head back with 2 right hand punches and then unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bennet's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bennet drops to his knees and Trudeau pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout! And THAT ladies and gentlemen is whats known as a nasty beatdown.

Results: After 3:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pierre Trudeau! Scotty Bennet spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm shop worn and injury riddled. Time to call it a career. And after being punked out like that...I can see why he would feel that way. But at only 32 years of age...its not the last we will hear of him I predict.

170 lbs fight between Fernando "The Bull" Alves (142991) and Alexander "Russian Vityaz" Povetkin (50112)

Povetkin is an eliete boxer and Alves is an elite ground fighter, but despite getting 3 takedowns to work from, Alves was a disappointment on the ground where he landed 1 strike and everything else was stuffed. However, Povetkin was a disappointment on his feet with Alves pretty much showing him how to fight by landing 21 strikes to Povetkin's 15. I was seriously UNimpressed by both fighters tonight.

Results: The 3 judges see the fight slightly different at 30:27/29:28/30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Fernando Alves!

170 lbs fight between Ray "The Raven" Lewis (199055) and Yeshua "I AM" Immanuel (123742)

Lewis is an elite boxer with well-rounded ground skills including a Black Belt in BJJ, but has no submissions on record. Immanuel is a well rounded fighter with a weakness in BJJ. Might be interesting to see if Lewis will take this opportunity to throw a few submission attempts...Ding Ding ! Immanuel lands first and cuts Lewis who fires right back and is swinging and mostly missing when Immanuel kicks him back into the cage. Its starting to look bad for Lewis, but he is swinging away and working the counter shots but after a missed combination, Immanuel counters with a head kick that drops Lewis to the mat! He gets to his feet, but oh man this is turning into a nasty beatdown... Immanuel changes tactics and clinches but its soon apparent that was a mistake as Lewis starts scoring strike after strike, so he wisely breaks loose. They exchange some kicks but Lewis is landing some great punches and when Immanuel scores a nice body kick, Lewis counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Immanuel! He's just covering up as Lewis starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

Results: After 3:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Lewis!

185 lbs TITLE fight between Ricard "Basque Threat" Cuenca (163776) and "Vodoo Child" Virgil Keller (178804)

Keller is a well-rounded standup fighter with a Black Belt in BJJ. Cuenca is and elite standup fighter and wrestler with a weakness in BJJ. Ding Ding ! Action...can u say action? Well some of the other fights on this card lacked it...but this one sure as hell made up for it ! There was no ground war...which some find boring...it was all standup and clinch and they were constantly throwing SOMETHING. Cuenca is an animal in the clinch and he knows it since he had 19 clinch attempts and despite Keller defending against it...Cuenca grabbed clinch 7 times and he made good use of it too. Cuenca outscored Keller in the clinch 28 to 9 and he used all the weapons but showed best with the elbows landing 8 of them. Cuenca was unimpressive with the knees, but he was probably busy landing 19 punches to worry about it. Keller on the other hand had only punches and landed 9 as well as 34 punches in the standing. Keller also landed 8 kicks in the standing but was totally blown out by Cuenca landing 34 kicks in the standing and was out-punched as well. So it was a decent performance by Keller, but the judges got this one right...

Results: The 3 judges see the fight slightly different at 49:46/49:46/45:50 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Ricard Cuenca! Ricard Cuenca retains his middleweight title!

A thanks to all who watched and a double thanks for all who took the time to read my drunken dribbles on paper...GOODBYE !

Mentor: Hello Ray! In you have had a very promissing start to your career after going up the Contenders ranks, winning the title there and then trying the regional scene for a while, you joined GAMMA. You are 4-0 since joining, with big wins over top contender Yeshua Immanuel, ex-Champ Marshall Noir and more recently Fernando Alves, but now you are going up against possibly the best 170lbs fighter in the game's history, long time GAMMA champ and ex-#1 Renan St Juste, what do you have to say about your opponent?

Ray Lewis: First off, this guy Renan is just another guy I have looked forward to facing off with. I took time away from GAMMA orgs, to face the top prospects around the world. The loses I took, were lessons learned at a young age and truthfully I would rather lose a fight like those than just crush cans all day. Guys like Rokki and Nik were the top prospects at 170 at the time of the fights, and Ray was a much more one dimensional fighter. Those fights exposed my weaknesses, at those times, and without a doubt the last 4 fights show what type of fighter I have become.

Ray Lewis: I am 8-0 combined GAMMA orgs (4-0 Contenders (4TKO) (4-0 GAMMA (2TKO) I Admit I had a 2 shitty loses, fucking Duke Rance? who the fuck is that right? that fucker cut me like we were in prision and cost me my perfect record. Juan Morales? really?? I mean it was a shitty call, a split decision, I beat that fuckers ass so bad, he hasnt been the same since our fight. Guy couldnt beat his way out of a wet paper bag if his life depended on it. I would end his career if we ever faced off again.

Ray Lewis: Facing off with Sykloni was my first GAMMA fight, I kind of toyed with his ass for the first round. He was no competition and didnt feel like waiting for the second round. I knocked his ass out before the fight started. He never made it out of the first round.
I would be lying that I didnt want the title fight right then, I was offered up the guy who just lost the title in a split decision to Yeshua (my hebrew name), a tought fought 5 round slobberknocker. After losing a shitty SD to Morales, I wasnt excited to fight a wrestler. I have consitantly been working on my wrestling since that loss. It showed. I was better standing, I was better on the ground. I bitched Nior like he was adopted with red hair. What I did to this guy in 3 rds, Yeshua didnt do in 5.... He should have retired after this fight, Poor dude got his ass kicked twice more. Stupid is as stupid does....

Ray Lewis: I was PUMPED to kick the shit out of Yeshua. The guy was a Legend in my eyes, I remember coming in to LOD with GSP's kid, and seeing this guy KO fighters in GAMMA. I walked in to that weigh in talkng shit. He was a shell of himself, an old man. I knew he was going to get KTFO. All his loses were KOs. I wasted no time, I know it said he punched me once and landed an elbow but he grazed me with his fingers and sratched me with his nails. It was more of a forearm than an elbow I hope that is how the elbow lands if that is what he is throwing. He landed a kick that shocked me. I slipped and recovered immediately I saw nothing but red, I wasnt going to put on a show. Sorry, I dont care, that old man kicked my head. I got back to my boxing basics, I used footwork to set him up. WHAM!!! RIGHT ON THE KISSER!!! I landed one uppercut, go watch the video, I only hit him because the ref didnt save his ass. He was out on his feet the second he tasted leather.

Mentor: Renan is also off a big win in his super fight against Shinichi Onizuka, an ex-#1 ranked fighter himself, Renan has also stated that he wants to use this fight to help him regain the #1 spot he lost in 2013, what do you have to say to that?

Ray Lewis: I WANTED THAT TITLE FIGHT!!!! but Renan was out superfighting (dicktucking me ;-) ) He was hoping I would lose, lets not pretend it was anything different. I got offered this dude Alves, WHO?? Anyways, I heard he was another wrestler, (COUGH COUGH conspiracy ;-) ) I get that I dont like to fight on my back or on my knee.. I mean what man likes to be on his knees other than Bruce Jenner.. oooooohhh.. anyways. I beat this dude at his own game and made it look good for the fans for 15 mins.

Ray Lewis: CAN I TAKE THIS OLD MANS BELT YET?!!?!!?!!
DUDE quit fucking running. I am going to give him his 3rd KO and end the reign of this guy and his Hype. Ray Lewis is hear to be the best in the world. Forget just GAMMA, I want the #1 170 WELTERWEIGHT in the world, I want to be the best P4P fighter in the game. I will take this belt easy. I will offer him a second beating if he wants. I will not finish him in the fight, but rather his career. This old man doesnt know what it is to be in the cage with a MAN, who has killed humans with his bare hands. I will smash this guy and take MY BELT!

Ray Lewis: Forget the #1, 2...44..68... 100 whatever ranking. Your career has come to a end. I am your brick wall buddy. SAY GOOD NIGHT.
Renan is a loser who lost 2 decisions to Nior, I beat that guy pretty convincingly. Renan loses period and they arent even to great fighters. If I was a betting man, and I dont need to bet, but I would bet Renans odds on getting KO'd are probably a long shot, I would bet the world bank on him losing by KO. You can feed all the starving children around the world off that bet. DO IT! DO IT!
Here take this, (a wood cane), give this to grandpa, I am going to hack his legs, slow his turtle like ass down, and make him turtle up and smash him out. Ask him what the lights look like from your back?

The next day...................

Mentor: In the last 17 fights you lost to just 2 fighters and are currently in line to push for the #1 spot after moving back into the top 10. Do you think this fight against Ray will take you closer to that goal with a win?

St. Juste: Not even close. Who is this guy? Never heard of him. This Ray dude is just a typical fighter. Nothing special with him. Aside from wins against Noir and Immanuel, he has beaten nobodys. Skyloni and Alves are past their prime and the rest came from the minor leagues. Defeating him will add nothing to my legacy as one of GAMMA's best welterweights ever alongside Bundy and Khalifman. Come fight time, I'll expose him for the fraud that he is. BELIEVE THAT!

Mentor: Ray has shown a lot of disrespect towards your accomplishments of the past. What do you have to say to that?

St. Juste: Better look at the mirror, kiddo. You've accomplish nothing. You're already 29 and yet, you have nothing to boast of. Titles from LVC and SCFU? WTH are those??
St. Juste: My accomplisments speak for themselves. I'm fighting for the top orgs since I'm 21 in EFC then Reach and finally at 26 in GAMMA. I'm 38 now so that is 12 years of fighting in GAMMA and yet I am still at the mountain top. This boy doesn't know what it takes to win at the top level. He will crumble under the bright lights. After it is all said and done, he will be just another regular guy.

Mentor: What do you see the outcome of this fight will

St. Juste: Just like most of the time, my opponents running back to their mother's skirt. You bit more than you chan chew, boy!

The ageless original GAMMA organization has once again produced an incredible event with top-notch fighters for your viewing pleasure. However you apparently could not make it so now you must read about in this review. Such are the complications of life, and hopefully I can visualize for you what those who saw it were seeing. If not, all the belly-kicking details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=830373. This event had 10 bouts with 6 knockouts, and 4 decisions, 1 which was a split decision. This event was produced by the "Master of Globalized MMA, Mentor Corleone (3503) and sponsored by GREEN!160 (3879) a Nutritional company based in Las Vegas.

205 lbs fight between Alfonso Lopez (163648) and Paul "PJ" Jones (104531)

Lopez is a wrestler with 15 of his 18 wins coming by knockout. Jones is an elite boxer/wrestler with a Red Belt in BJJ and an extreme weakness in Muay Thai. Ding Ding ! Well it became interesting when it became apparent that Jones the elite wrestler was after a takedown and couldn't get it. Lopez with lesser wrestling ability was stuffing takedown attempts and landing strikes. But Jones isn't being 1-dimensional and lands a strike that cuts Lopez, 1 1/2 minutes into the fight. Immediately followed by his getting the 1st of 2 takedowns of the fight. (with 26 attempts) They roll around like puppies for a while reversing each other and putting on a great show. Round 2, they come out throwing strikes, and Jones is cut by a kick from Lopez. Jones is still busy trying for a takedown and finally gets the 2nd and last one, but Lopez immediately stands up. Jones keeps trying and Lopez keeps stuffing them and scoring strikes. Round 3, Jones actually landing a few strikes but still after the takedown. Jones tries for a double leg takedown and Lopez replies with an uppercut that rocks Jones and when Jones looks at the clock to see how much time he needs to survive...he makes the point moot as Lopez clobbers him with a right hand and then pounces on him when he goes down and starts dropping elbows and punches until the referee steps in.

Results: After 3:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alfonso Lopez!

170 lbs fight between "Dai tuong" Phan Tran Le (162219) and Stanly Williams (174422)

Williams is a ground fighter and Le is a Muay Thai fighter with wrestling ability. As expected Williams was after the takedowns, but got only 1 out of 16 attempts and didnt do SQUAT with them. Le was after clinches and got 3 out of 10 attempts and did barely squat with them. So they both seemed like failures in their more obvious fight plans...HOWEVER, Le was flat whoopin that butt in the standing war and landed 41 strikes to Williams 20 landed which made the decision pretty easy on the judges.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Phan Tran Le!

145 lbs fight between Bradley "Project X" Henson (202150) Danny White (229844)

White is a ground fighter and Henson is a boxer with a black belt in BJJ. So it comes as no surprise that White was after the takedowns and Henson was throwing punches. But White didn't accomplish much with the 3 (out of 5 attempts) takedowns that he got. He DID land well with the few strikes he threw and scored 5 strikes out of 7 thrown. But at the same time Henson was working for submissions (4 attempts) so it came out about even in the ground war. And it was White with the clinches, with 3 out of 7 attempts being successful but again...rather ineffective when he got them. The real story was in the standing war where Henson scored 14 strikes to White's 11 and thats a pretty damn close fight.

Results: Somebody on drugs...the 2 straight judges see the fight the same at 29:28 and the judge on drugs sees the fight 29:30 in favor of your winner, by split decision... Bradley Henson!

185 lbs fight between Hector "Hammerhead" Williams (151289) "The Soul Collector" Diego Aragon (210560)

Williams is an elite wrestler and Aragon is a well rounded fighter with a weakness in BJJ. But in this fight Aragon decided to try to out-wrestle Williams and he damn sure did. It took 16 tries to get 5 takedowns but he went to work when he got-em. He tried a submission but his focus was on GnP and the ring-card girls. Why do I say that? Because when u throw 15 strikes at someone u have pinned beneath you and land only 4 strikes...u MUST be looking at SOMETHING...and he wasn't looking at ME. Anyway... possibly due to having so many takedowns stuffed and his "fan operation" on the ground he must of been tired and that allowed Williams to kinda punk him out in the standing battle with 36 strikes landed to Aragon's 10 strikes landed.

Results: The 3 judges see the fight slightly different at 28:29/27:30/27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Hector Williams!

185 lbs fight between LeBron James (203986) and Ben Zanotto (174152)

Zanotto is an elite wrestler and James is a Muay Thai fighter. And it looks like James has REALLY good takedown defense or Zanotto REALLY needs to work on takedowns because he had 28 of his 31 attempts get stuffed. Spending so much time and energy on failure MIGHT be acceptable if the few successes you get are backed up by something like a landed strike or a submission...but all that time and energy amounted to a big ZERO. Meanwhile James was awesome to stuff so many takedown attempts but being so busy with that prevented him from having an impressive performance landing strikes and the fight was actually damn close to even on strikes landed...in fact I would say if Zanotto would leave the takedowns at home and simply throw more punches he would of won that fight.

Results: All 3 judges see a close fight at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... LeBron James!

205 lbs fight between Marko Torturo (54639) and "Riiviö" Pyry Perkele (178394)

Torturo is a well rounded fighter with a weakness in BJJ and Perkele is an elite Muay Thai fighter also with a weakness in BJJ.

Perkele did slightly better than Torturo in the standing but got a serious spanking in the clinch. Perkele was being outstruck in the clinch 3 to 1 when Torturo caught him with a short right and rocked his world. Torturo followed that with another right hand that dropped Perkele and then mounted for the kill and it was quickly over.

Results: After 2:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marko Torturo!

265+ lbs fight between Julien "The French Psychopath" Touret (175093) and Marcus Fenix (186326)

Fenix is a well-rounded fighter with a strength in BJJ and Touret is a standup fighter. Round 1, Fenix quickly gets a takedown and is working submissions, but Touret is defending well. Round 2, both men come out striking and Fenix with the clinch where Touret lands an elbow and cuts Fenix. Then Touret just beats the shit out of Fenix in the clinch that Fenix wanted and landed and impressive 75% of his strikes and rocks Fenix and then knocks him right the hell out with a brutal knee! A SWEET knockout with no frills...just power.

Results: After 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Julien Touret!

265+ lbs fight between Michael Proctor (187233) and "The WarWagon" Jt Colossus (1688)

Both men are elite boxers, with a weakness in BJJ so a standup war is likely. Ding Ding ! Colossus looking for a clinch and Proctor counters. Proctor quickly shows his power with a right hand that knocks Colossus down and then shortly after that lands another right hand that rocks Colossus. Colossus tries to clinch to smother the strikes and get his head together but Proctor counters that and puts that butt on the mat and is raining strikes until the referee steps in. Colossus gets the takedown but he has taken down the referee! Oh my !

Results: After 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Proctor!

265+ lbs fight between Tamias Poochyena (135965) and Vladislav "Farmer Mysterio" Maslow (197361)

Poochyena is an elite fighter with a weakness in BJJ and Maslow is is an elite boxer and has a Black belt in BJJ. Ding Ding ! Poochyena comes out kicking and is targetting the legs and Maslow countering and targetting the body. Both men are punching and kicking and Maslow is throwing more, but Poochyena is much more accurate and slightly ahead in scoring when he comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Maslow stumbles and Poochyena is on him like rabid pit bull! Maslow slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!

Results: After 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tamias Poochyena! This fight was awarded "Fight of the night".

265+ lbs TITLE fight between Gunnar Steigelmann (196145) and Lan "Aanallein" Mandragoran (169650)

Both men are elite standup fighters. The Champion, Lan Mandragoran has 26 knockouts to his credit and has been knocked out 11 times. The Challenger, Gunnar Steigelmann has 15 knockouts to his credit and has been knocked out 5 times. Round 1, Steigelmann lands first and Mandragoran replies with a right hand that cuts Steigelmann. Both men seem to be having trouble finding the range and are missing....or perhaps they are both just defending well? But suddenly Steigelmann finds the sweet spot with an uppercut and Mandragoran drops. Steigelmann on top of him, lands some punches and elbows and the refereee dives in to save Mandragoran. Its OVER !

Results: After 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunnar Steigelmann! Gunnar Steigelmann is the new super heavyweight champion! Steigelmann is awarded the "KO of the night".

Another wonderful night of MMA comes to an end. GOODBYE !!!

It has been Spring since the last edition of GAMMA Gossip, so i decided to do an update of the most important recent GAMMA headline news!

Growth

Climbing the ranks in this game is a grinding game if anything, but our growth has been pretty stable. We currently have 70 top 1000 p4p fighters on the roster which is a record since April 2014 and we are ranked 4th in the game in this category. Most impressive is our rise in top 100 p4p fighters though where we currently have 10% (ranked joint 3rd).

GAMMA significant signings

Since our last GOSSIP in April we have had some major signings in the org starting with Tony Slevin (180928) is a strong prospect which is currently in the top 200 p4p fighters of the world which has yet to lose since being managed by Digga Dogman. With an impressive 15-3 record, his last loss was over a year ago. One to watch for sure.

LeBron James (203986) is a young up and coming fighter which is currently on a 3 fight winning streak since joining us with a 16-4 record. He is now our top contender for the 185lbs title where he will be facing Ricard Cuenca.

A recent recruit with big ambition is Rau Utu (117289) which defected from EVO to join GAMMA. He has fought in some of the top orgs including Syndicate, Syn and Ascension with varied levels of success. At 37y old he is hoping to make a last push for a major title after previously losing to #1 ranked fighter of the world Rinky Spider

Fernando "The Bull" Alves (142991) is a product of Pawel Ufcowski, which is a 2 time GAMMA champion. Since joining in May he went 3-1 and is currently lined up to fight our champion Renan St Juste.

Doomsday Drost (131933) is a long time veteran fighting all over the world, winning titles in UPG and BMP. He won the GAMMA title off Bateman in his first fight but has since lost the title. He has rebounded though and is now ranked in the top 100 p4p, so expect a comeback from him!

Nylerhotep "Necronomicon" Constantine (205043) is our most recent signing and one of the biggest stars to join GAMMA. At just 29y of age he is also still early in his peak period. He is lined up to fight undefeated 155lbs champ "Prado" in his next fight, which will be his biggest test to date.

Ricard "Basque Threat" Cuenca (163776), which is our current 185lbs champ. He is a TTFC veteran and multiple champ of HMFL. He took the title off Arthur Curry and seems to be holding firmly to his position as champ at the moment. At 33y we still have much to see from him.

Other major signings include Cormac Gutz (161532), Bobby "The Black Knight" Bishop (186392), Sevent Seagull (102648), Josiah "the Spaceman" Bartlet (207713) among others.

Renan rise to dominance

You would expect a fighter which is 38y of age would be looking for his retirement home. Well that is not the case with Renan St Juste. He is currently ranked #6 in the game and pushing to become the first fighter to regain the #1 spot after losing it 2 years ago. Renan also has 48 total fights in GAMMA which puts him in 4th place all time, but at this pace i would not take it beyond him to go all the way and break the current record of 63.

Ender Wiggin + Mark Makers move into top 10

For total fights in GAMMA with a total of 38 each. Both are currently in the twilight of their career's, but simply the fact that they can compete against the thugs of the current generation should be respected.

The Renan St Juste v Ray Lewis rivalry has also been very high profile in recent times as well, Renan won the first fight, but Ray said he will beat Cormac Gutz in his next fight and try to push for a rematch, we will see what happens though.

Fernando Prado and his 0

Fernando Prado (181926) is probably one of the most dominant 145/155 fighters this game has seen in a while. His run of 14-0 puts him ranked in the top 5 of the game at the moment. He has big wins over Natsu Dragneel, 2x against Krystian Wojnasiewicz and will be facing top 25 ranked Nylerhotep "Necronomicon" Constantine in his next outing. Keeping the run going wont be an easy task, but with a win in his next one, it will push him into the top 10 of the game for the first time.

Jt Colossus Just one KO away

Jt is a KO machine period. He will either get you or you will get him. He has a total of 23 KO's in the org, which lists him just one away from all time legend Raz Matazz. His next fight is a tough one, but it could be the one which pushes him into the first place.

Arthur Curry redefining age

When Arthur Curry (92326) lost to Cuenca it was suppose to be the end of his illustrious career. In fact his manager was about to retire him to the Bahamas. He had one fight on his deal though and we wanted to see how it played out................since then he won 4 in a row, winning his 3rd title in GAMMA! He also joined an Elite category of managers to win a title in more than 1 weight class. Arthur is also currently ranked 15th all time in total fights with 30, there are just 5 which are still actively competing though.

The original GAMMA organization has once again produced an incredible event with top-notch fighters for your viewing pleasure. However you apparently could not make it so now you must read about in this review. Such are the complications of life, and hopefully I can visualize for you what those who saw it were seeing. If not, all the torso-ripping details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=830411. This event had 10 bouts with 3 knockouts, and 6 decisions, and 1 submission. This event was produced by the "Master of Globalized MMA", Mentor Corleone (3503) and sponsored by GREEN!160 (3879) a Nutritional company based in Las Vegas.

155 lbs fight between Graeme Symons (185305) and Stampe "The Death Troll" Eklund (191268)

Eklund is a sensational boxer/wrestler and Symons is an elite ground fighter. This fight started with promise when Symons misses with a body shot and Eklund cuts him with a counter punch. But from there on it was BORING and in the next 13 1.2 minutes a TOTAL of strikes landed from BOTH fighters added together was a measly 39 strikes. And with Eklund landing 23 and Symons landing only 16 I have no idea how the judges decided it was Symons who won. Symons did slightly better in the standing but he took a beating on the ground.

Results: Symons is an elite ground fighter and Eklund is a boxer/wrestler. All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Graeme Symons!

265+ lbs fight between Mark Makers (111282) and "The Gentleman" Nigel York (110555)

Makers is a boxer, and York is a well rounded fighter with a weakness in BJJ. Round 1, Makers with a combo followed by a clinch and thats the word for this fight. Clinch. Damn near the entire fight was spent in the clinch where Makers dominated and rocked York in the 2nd round and then cut him and knocked him down but was unable to take him out. The 3rd round was spent in the clinch as well and both men were busy throwing strikes with York throwing more but landing less...in fact I think my headcold may have been caused by the breeze coming off York's gloves...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Mark Makers!

170 lbs fight between Alastair Gridlock (160181) and David "The Mink" Charles (150927)

Gridlock is an elite fighter in all areas of MMA and Charles is an exceptional fighter with a weakness in BJJ. Ding Ding ! Charles lands first strike and they both get busy. Charles is kicking and looking for a takedown and Gridlock seems to be bidding his time. As Charles continues to attack, Gridlock body kicks and then drops Charles with a beautiful combination. Gridlock waves him to his feet and then attacks wildly at Charles is looking for a takedown where he might be able to smother the attack and get his head together. Charles changes tactics and tried to clinch and Gridlock counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Gridlock looks at the referee who does nothing so Gridlock lands a crushing right that sends Charles to the floor! Its all over!

Results: After 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alastair Gridlock!

145 lbs fight between "The Whoreson" Lik Alotadik (161997) and Cesar Sampaio

Alotadik is a well rounded sensational fighter with a weakness in BJJ and Sampaio is a BJJ fighter. Which makes me think this could be a VERY fast fight...one way or another... Ding Ding ! Sampaio straight to the clinch and takedown. Alotadik immediately reverses him which is probably exactly what Sampaio wanted as he instantly is working submissions. Alotadik eventually stands up and Sampaio goes stright for the clinch again and they struggle in and out of the clinch as each tries to impose his will on the other. Round 2, Sampaio straight to the takedown but Alotadik satnds up only to have Sampaio take him down again, up again, down, reversal...these guys are all over the place, and thats how it goes until the end of the fight. Sampaio totalled a whopping 50 takedown attempts and 20 clinches and ZERO strikes...yes ZERO strikes. And since he put all his eggs in the submission basket, his failure made it easy for the judges.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Lik Alotadik!

265+ lbs fight between Evil "Genius" Muno (200495) and Franklin Munchack

Muno is a sensational standup fighter and Munchack is an elite wrestler. Both men enter the cage represented by new managers and for Muno its a GAMMA debut. Ding Ding ! Muno comes out kicking and Munchack replies with a takedown. Muno works on a submission and Munchack is throwing GnP, but the referee stands them up. Muno is launching a kick attack and cuts Munchack with a high kick. Round 2, Muno comes out and is just beating the dog snot out of Munchack who is looking for the counter takedown and gets it. They roll around like 2 sisters pulling hair until the referee stands them up. Round 3, Munchack a bit slow to the takedown but he gets it and is throwing GnP and a few submission attempts but Muno is defending well and working on position and thats how the fight ends.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Evil Muno!

265+ lbs fight between Convicted Killer (187371) and "Lucky" Salvatore Lucania (178877)

Killer is an elite standup fighter with a weakness in BJJ. and Lucania is a sensational Muay Thai fighter. Ding Ding ! Lucania lands first and cuts Killer with a head kick and is targetting the cut and its getting worse. Towards the end of the round Killer returns the favor with a knee and now the vampires are on the edge of their seats. The rest of the fight Lucania was clinching and thats where he lost the fight. Killer put a beating on him in the clinch and it was in the clinch where he ate an elbow from Killer and was rocked. Killer then caught him with a right hook to put him down and the referee ends it.

Results: After 3:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Convicted Killer!

185 lbs fight between "The Anaconda" Marcos Duarte (120066) and Jax "Scarslutje" Teller (144166)

Duarte is an elite ground fighter and Teller is an elite Muay Thai fighter with his weaknesses in ground fighting...so this could also be a fast fight...one way or another. Ding Ding ! Teller comes out kicking like a bitch but Duarte imposes his will and takes Teller to the ground where he proceeded to work that GnP/submission magic. And added to spending half the fight on the ground working Teller over...the standup battle was also a good show for Duarte who actuallu outscored Teller 14 to 12 strikes landed. So how the hell one judge saw it as 29:29 is somthing I think only a scan of his finances will explain...

Results: The judges see the fight somewhat differently at 27:30/29:29/27:30 in favor of your winner, by majority decision... Marcos Duarte!

155 lbs fight between Gennaro "Il Coltello" Gattuso (143909) and Wedge Xiii (156221)

Gattuso is a sensational wrestler and Xiii is an elite ground fighter. Ding Ding ! This fight I expected to be on the ground...and thats where it was won, but the fight was mostly in the clinch where Xiii dominated just as he did in the standing. But Gattuso brought more to the table than a war on the feet and late in the 2nd round he stopped playing patty cake with Xiii and pulled guard and submits him.

Results: After 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gennaro Gattuso! Gattuso was awarded "Submission of the Night".

145 lbs TITLE fight between the Champion, Meat Beater (174503) and the Challenger, Timofey Boyko

Beater is a well rounded sensational fighter with a weakness in BJJ and Boyko is a well rounded fighter with elite Muay Thai skills. Ding Ding ! Both fighters come out kicking and Boyko wants to clinch and they go at it in the clinch but it seems Boyko is landing more and has knees and elbows and Beater has only punches. Boyko also did substandtially better than Beater in the standing war and overall it was 98 strikes Boyko landed to Beater landing 64. So it came as a HUGE surprise to me when the judges scorecards were announced...

Results: The judges saw the fight slightly different at 47:48/47:/48:48 in favor of your winner, by majority decision... Meat Beater! Meat Beater is the new featherweight champion! This fight was awarded the "Fight of the Night".

265 lbs TITLE fight between the Challenger, Doomsday Drost (131933) and the Champion, "American Psycho" Patrick Bateman (180187)

Drost is an elite ground fighter and Bateman is a sensational boxer/wrestler with a weakness in BJJ. Ding Ding ! Bateman comes out on the attack and Drost is defending/countering but takes a cut at the 1 minute mark. Bateman is kicking and Drost is working the body and countering. Round 2, Bateman still on the attack and Drost is still defending but his cut is getting worse as Bateman lands shots on it. Round 3, Much the same as previous rounds except Drost probably in fear of the fight being stopped due to the cut takes the fight to the ground late in the round and starts throwing GnP. Round 4, Apparently feeling good about the results of the ground war, Drost takes it to the mat again and tries a submission then goes to the GnP and he drops a big elbow and Bateman looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Drost turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory!

Results: After 3:51 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doomsday Drost! Doomsday Drost is the new heavyweight champion! Drost was awarded the "KO of the Night".

See ya next week ! GOODBYE !

On June the 13th of 2015, The original Global Association of MMA™, managed by Mentor Corleone (3503), presented GAMMA#487 Stefans vs Gustavsson for the 89,757 GAMMA fans in attendance at the LA Memorial Colosseum, as well as thousands of fans watching from all over the world. GAMMA#487 was proudly sponsored by GREEN!160, providing nutritional products from Las Vegas.

The event featured the very much anticipated debut of Gunnar Gustavsson, who was to face Ted Stefans in the three round main event of the evening. The co-main event saw Fernando Prado putting his lightweight title on the line in an exciting rematch against the former champion Krystian Wojnasiewicz. A total of eight other magnificent fights accompanied them on the card. I’m Nick James, and this is your review of GAMMA#487 Stefans v Gustavsson. Full details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=830868

Undercard

Middleweight Bout - Craig Rave (78157) Def. Arstan "The Bold" Selmy (196913) via Unanimous Decision

The first fight of the evening pitted the 59 fight veteran Craig Rave against Arstan “The Bold” Selmy. The two BJJ Black Belts instinctively tried to get the fight to the ground, with Selmy landing a first round takedown and Rave scoring second and third round takedowns. Between the two fighters there was a total of nine failed submission attempts, with Rave eventually scoring a unanimous decision, due to his lengthy top control, picking up his 34th victory and showing that at 39 years old, he still has what it takes to compete with the youngsters.

Lightweight Bout - "Lightning Kid" Atlas Kivi (134572) Def. Jeff Gorden (143166) via Unanimous Decision

“Lightning Kid” put on a masterful grappling performance in his 11th fight in GAMMA. He did a superb job of controlling the clinch, as well as defending Gorden’s relentless efforts to take him to the canvas. It wasn’t until the fourth minute of the final round that Gorden would gain top position, only to find himself being swept by Kivi, capping off what has to go down as a poor performance. All judges scored the contest 30-27 to Kivi. After the fight, Gorden’s manager Jake LeBeau (96053) decided to part ways with him. Since then, Gordon has come under new management and will be fighting in GAMMA Contenders.

Featherweight Bout - "The Balled Of" Speedy Atkins (175107) Def. Fourie Du Preez (225967) via Unanimous Decision

The third bout of the evening featured Fourie Du Preez making his GAMMA debut agaist a very tough opponent in Speedy Atkins. Atkins controlled the fight from the distance as well as in the clinch, which was more than enough to earn the 33 year old his third victory in GAMMA via unanimous decision.

Light Heavyweight Bout - Jaako Meritähti (226114) def. Calvin Johnson (137439) via Rd 1 TKO (04:31)

The next fight featured another young prospect in Jaako Meritähti, facing a stiff challenge in knockout artist Calvin Johnson. Meritähti looked to bring the fight to the clinch early, where Johnson had no answer for his barrage of punches. After nearly a whole round of dominating the clinch, Meritähti landed a solid right hook, dropping Johnson who could not recover, giving Meritähti the first finish of the evening by way of TKO, showing that he is definitely one to look out for in the years to come. Johnson found himself without a manager after the fight, but is now being managed by Gerbert Bryant (84742) in preparation for his next fight.

Heavyweight Bout - Jon "Bones" Pegas (129570) def. Jules "Bad Ass Mother Fucker" Winnfield (211191) via Rd 1 KO (3:20)

The penultimate bout of the undercard saw veteran Striker Jon Pegas face Jules Winnfield. Pegas put on a dominant performance in what was his second fight in GAMMA, showing off his capability of striking from a distance. After opening up a severe cut on the head of Winnfield and scoring two knockdowns, Pegas landed a well-timed superman punch to the jaw of Winnfield, knocking him out cold. This win extends Pegas’ record in GAMMA to 2-0, showing the world that he is one to watch in the heavyweight division. Winnfield on the other hand, has now lost six of his last eight fights, but at 27 years old, he has plenty of time to improve his game and turn things around.

Welterweight Bout - "Rip" Rufus McTearson (186694) def. Hamad Al Zahran (183610) via Unanimous Decision

The undercard’s final bout saw Rufus McTearson make his 14th GAMMA appearance against Hamad Al Zahran, who was making his GAMMA debut. McTearson was keen to utilise his striking advantage over Al Zahran and landed an array of punches and kicks. What was potentially more impressive than McTearson’s standup game was his defensive wrestling. Despite being taken down four times, he did not allow Al Zahran to land anything and defended against five submission attempts. This was enough to give McTearson a unanimous decision victory in the eyes of all three judges, sending Al Zahran back to the drawing board in preparation of his second GAMMA appearance.

Main Card

Lightweight Bout - Josiah "the Spaceman" Bartlet (207713) def. Wolfram Stelzer (198888) via Unanimous Decision

The first fight of the main card saw Josiah Bartlet face Wolfram Stelzer. Josiah Bartlet, representing LoHoo Crew, came into the fight with a record of 14-7-2, with six of those wins coming under his current manager Cause McDubree (17807). Stezler, representing the LEGION OF DOOM, came in with a similar record of 13-9-1, with all 23 of his fights being managed by his current manager Hans Ulrich Krafft (14933). While both fighters were only making their second GAMMA appearances, they have both found success in other organisations in the past, with Bartlet holding the now inactive Hilo Fight League belt and Stelzer having held the slightly more prestigious Montreal Fight Night Belt at 155.

The fight entered the clinch fairly early in round one after some unsuccessful strikes and a failed takedown attempt from Stelzer. After landing a few shots, Bartlet found himself on his back in half guard, but defended very well until the referee called for the stand-up. Barlet then displayed his dominance on the feet, landing a few shots at distance and in the clinch before scoring a takedown. He found himself in the butterfly guard of the BJJ Black Belt Stelzer who scored with a quick sweep and then controlled Barlet on top for the remainder of the round.

The second round began with a very even striking contest, followed by a takedown by Bartlet into the guard of Stelzer, where he landed some ground and pound, defended an Armbar attempt and then passed into half guard. From half guard Bartlet nearly secured a Kimura before being stood up by the referee due to inactivity. It did not take long for the fight to return to the mat with the wrestling standout and BJJ brown belt, Bartlet, pulling guard from the clinch. After eating some ground and pound, Bartlet showed off his own butterfly guard, using it to land a scissor sweep to close the round.

The final round began almost immediately with a take down by Stelzer. After defending an Omoplata, Stelzer found himself in side control, but did not capitalise on it before the referee called for a stand up due to inactivity. A much more aggressive Bartlet looked to land some strikes on the feet, but his reach disadvantage made it hard for him to land anything aside from leg kicks. Perhaps frustrated by Stelzer’s elusiveness, Barltet landed a takedown. After some battling over position, Bartlet found himself defending against a triangle choke and then passing to side control, where he held Stelzer for the remainder of the fight.

The judges scored the bout 30:28, 30:28 and 29:28 in favour of Josiah Bartlet who was booed out of the cage after giving an arrogant post-fight speech. Looking back at the fight, some increased activity on the ground could have worked wonders for Stelzer, which is something he and his manager will undoubtedly work on in preparation for future fights.

Featherweight Bout - Kira "Gaijin" Miyata (205443) def. "The Worlds Most Dangerous" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (218431) via Rd 1 KO (03:59): Knockout of the Night

The second main card bout pitted Kira Miyata against Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The 28 year old Japanese American, Miyata, made his much anticipated GAMMA debut, coming in as the last WFC featherweight champion and a record of 16-8, with eight wins coming by way of submission. His opponent, a 26 year old Iraqi making his fourth GAMMA appearance. Al-Baghdadi came in with a similar record of 15-7 and some serious knockout power with 13 of his wins coming by way of KO/TKO. Both fighters represented the LEGION OF DOOM, with Miyata being managed by Alika Webb (62511) and al-Baghdadi being managed by GSP's Illegitimate Son (79001). In addition to this similarity, both men are former WFC champions, but never fought in that organisation.

The fight commenced with al-Baghdadi immediately going after Miyata with some strikes. The submission specialist Miyata seemed to want to show that he could hold his own on his feet with the knockout artist al-Baghdadi and landed a few good shots, but was ultimately coming off worse than al-Baghdadi in exchanges, which was not helped by his prominent reach disadvantage. To the surprise of many, Miyata did not attempt any takedowns throughout the first round and seemed determined to bang with al-Baghdadi. Towards the end of the round, Miyata landed a crisp combination of punches to the head and body, which left al-Baghdadi rocked. al-Baghdadi then threw caution to the wind, which perhaps wasn’t the best approach, as Miyata managed to slip a left hook and land a devastating hook of his own to secure a knockout victory over the knockout specialist al-Baghdadi, shocking GAMMA fans all over the world in his GAMMA debut.

Miyata seemed lost for words in his post-fight interview, perhaps a little shocked by the atmosphere created by the 87,757 screaming fans in attendance, but was very gracious in his victory and remembered to thank his fans. Miyata’s astounding knockout victory was enough to earn him KO of the night honours as well as a future tittle shot against the featherweight champion Meat Beater (174503).

Lightweight Title Bout - Fernando Prado (181926) def. Krystian "Wojna" Wojnasiewicz (159688) via Majority Decision: Fight of the Night

The co-main event of the evening was the much anticipated lightweight championship rematch in which Fernando Prado would defend his title against Krystian Wojnasiewicz after beating him for it GAMMA#481 in what was his GAMMA debut. The Rio de Janeiro native and LEGION OF DOOM representative, Fernando Prado, could be described as a decision machine with him winning his last eight fights by way of decision. Although many fans think he is a boring fighter, it’s hard to argue with the tactics his manager Whymer Van Mastodon (40116) has him using, as he entered this tittle rematch with an undefeated record of 11-0. His opponent Krystian Wojnasiewicz from Poland, representing Polish Eagles’ Nest, is quite the opposite with 21 of his 27 wins coming by way of KO/TKO. Wojnasiewicz is no stranger to title fights as his 6 bouts prior to this one were for the GAMMA belt and he has had an astounding 19 championship fights, out numbering his number of non-title fights, with a title fight record of 12-6 and a total record of 27-10. It is also interesting to note that Wojnasiewicz came into the Prado fight 10cm taller, leading to a sizeable reach advantage and with an extraordinary weight advantage, something manager Pawel Ufcowski (52087) would have liked to see him use to his advantage.

The two fighters began the fight with a lot of volume, both looking to land an array of different strikes. It became obvious very early on that Prado had no intention of going to the ground with Wojnasiewicz who is a BJJ black belt. Prado looked to be getting the better of the striking, and was finding a lot of success with leg kicks, potentially trying to weaken Wojnasiewicz takedown ability. Prado did not seem to need anything to help him avoid takedowns however, as he had no trouble thwarting the two thrown by Wojnasiewicz.

The story of round two was very similar to round one. The fight stayed on the feet and both fighters looked to land a diverse range of strikes. Prado, however, was much more dominant in this round, and really looked to work the body of Wojnasiewicz and continue chipping away at his legs. After potentially losing the opening two rounds, Wojnasiewicz needed to buck up his ideas and get some offense going in the last three rounds if he was going to get his belt back.

The third round finally saw Wojnasiewicz get his hands on Prado, initiating a clinch on the counter. Prado defended well though and broke out of clinch in less than a minute, going back to striking where he was dominating the fight. Perhaps it was something his corner men said to him, but Wojnasiewicz seemed really motivated in this third round and came out on top of the striking after the clinch until eventually clinching again. From the clinch, Wojnasiewicz scored a takedown into Prado’s guard, where he help position until a stand up, just before the round ended.

Round four began with Prado dominating on the feet and defending Wojnasiewicz attempts to clinch. Near the middle of the round, Wojnasiewicz managed to get in the clinch up against the cage, for less than ten seconds before Prado found a way to break. Prado continued to work his strikes, but was caught by a takedown towards the end of the round. Wojnasiewicz tried to land with some ground and pound, but Prado defended well until the end of the round.

It was looking like Prado had three rounds to Wojnasiewicz’s one going into the final round, showing that Wojnasiewicz could have quite possibly needed a finish. Wojnasiewicz got the clinch early and landed some strikes, but couldn’t hold it for long. The rest of the round was kept at a distance by Prado, defending takedown and clinch attempts and probably coming out a little ahead in a very even striking contest to finish the fight.

The judges scored the bout 49:46, 48:48, and 49:46 for the winner by majority decision, Fernando Prado. Prado seemed to win a little more convincingly than that in my eyes, but that is MMA sometimes. Following his victory, Prado thanked his fans all over the world for their support.

Light Heavyweight Bout - Gunnar "Knoke Støvkost" Gustavsson (134470) def. Ted Stefans (182837) via Unanimous Decision

The main event saw Norwegian 36 year old Gunnar Gustavsson face 31 year old Ted Stefans from Iceland. Both men can be considered to be knockout artists with a combined total of 36 victories via knockout between them out of a total of 49 wins. This fight marked Gustavsson GAMMA debut, which was much anticipated by fans across the world. Gustavsson brang with him a record of 23-7 and was to fight for the first time under the management of Whymer Van Mastodon (40116), representing the LEGION OF DOOM. Stefans on the other hand, came into the fight as an 11 fight GAMMA veteran in his first fight since losing the Light Heavyweight championship to Charles LaFontier. Stefans came into the fight representing GRABTHE.INFO and a record of 26-10, with all of his fights happening under the management of Thor HGH (24686). Although Gustavsson has held championships in other organisations, they do not compare to the GAMMA belt, which he would no doubt want to claim and beating Stefans would be a pretty good way to kick off his run.

Both fighters were keen to display their striking abilities as the first round kicked off, with both fighters throwing a variety of punches and kicks. From early on, it could be seen that Gustavsson was the more aggressive fighter and was displaying a much higher output and was working in leg kicks with his hands very nicely. Aware that he was losing out from distance, Stefans looked to bring the fight into a clinch, but Gustavsson wanted nothing of it and defended well. In the fourth minute of the round, Stefans landed his most significant strike so far, cutting Gustavsson with a straight right. This did not deter Gustavsson as he kept pushing forward and dominating the round.

Gustavsson really showed his class in round two, completely dominating the stand up action. As the round came to a close, Stefans must have been wondering how he could change things up to get the finish he would need to win the fight.

The beginning of the third round was much like the second, with Gustavsson winning the striking battle. After failing a first clinch attempt, Stefans managed to clinch with Gustavsson midway through the round. Stefans having worked on his clinch game, thought he would have an advantage in the clinch, however, Gustavsson managed to land more strikes before eventually breaking the clinch. Once out of the clinch, Gustavsson went back to what he had been doing, to see the round out.

There were no surprises from the judges with them all scoring the bout 30:27, giving Gunnar Gustavsson a win in his GAMMA debut and show that he is a threat to everyone in the division. Before leaving the cage, Gustavsson gave a heartfelt thankyou to all of his fans for keeping him motivated. This fight was to be Stefans’ last in the organisation and now hopes to find success elsewhere.

That bout capped of a wonderful evening of fights, stay tuned for GAMMA#488.

On June the 13th of 2015, The original Global Association of MMA™, managed by Mentor Corleone (3503), presented GAMMA#488 LaFontier v Wiggin (830870) for the 90,618 GAMMA fans in attendance at Wombley Arena in London, as well as thousands of fans watching from all over the world. GAMMA#487 was proudly sponsored by GREEN!160, providing nutritional products from Las Vegas.

The event featured the very first title defence for Charles LaFontier, who was to face Ender Wiggin, who was hoping it would be a case of third time lucky in terms of GAMMA title shots. The main event was accompanied by 9 other bouts, featuring the likes of Arthur Curry and Illias Illiadis and many more stars of MMA. I’m Nick James, and this is your review of GAMMA#488 LaFontier v Wiggin. Full details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=830870

Undercard
Welterweight Bout – BeeJay Penn (46629) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Olliver Gullion (214437) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 3 TKO (0:49)
The evening was kicked off with two fighters making their GAMMA debuts. At 43 years old BeeJay Penn was really looking to show that after 52 fights, he still has what it takes to compete at the highest level of MMA and a win against 27 year old, Gullion, would make a strong case for that. It became obvious early in the fight that Gulion wanted to strike from the clinch and Penn wanted to keep striking from distance. Gullion found success in the first and Penn found success in the second, leaving the final round as the one which would decide the final outcome. Early in the round, Penn landed a big left hand and followed it up with some more strikes to claim a third round TKO victory.

Middleweight Bout - "The Hammer" Semmy Kasteel (124259) [LEGION OF DOOM] def. Sepp "Sub" Maier (86796) [Evolution Fight Clan] via Round 1 KO (4:05)
The next bout featured Semmy Kasteel making his fourth GAMMA appearance against 83 fight veteran Sepp Maier, who was making his astounding 20th GAMMA appearance. Having lost his last four fights, Maier was looking to pick up his 46th win, no doubt looking to use his crafty submission skills. Maier pulled guard early in the fight, and looked for submissions which were defended well by Kasteel until the referee returned the fighters to their feet. Maier tried desperately to return the fight to the mat, but Kasteel defended well until he managed to land a shot which rocked Maier and then Kasteel knocked him out with a massive counter left. After suffering his fifth defeat in a row, Sepp Maier decided it was time to hang up his gloves and retire, after a long and successful career.

Middleweight Bout - Genghis "The Mongoloid" Khan (198249) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Atte "Teufel" Peltola (177978) [FinnFighters] via Majority Decision
The third fight of the evening saw BJJ black belt Genghis Khan face GAMMA veteran Atte Peltola. The fight was very even, but in the end, Khan just managed to get the edge over his opponent. The win can be attributed to his superior grappling skills as he managed to land a couple takedowns in the opening two rounds.

Featherweight Bout – Yuri Boyka (34136) Def. Hugo Veron (125591) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 2 KO (0:13)
The next bout featured yet another 50 fight plus veteran in Yuri Boyka going up against Hugo Veron who was making his GAMMA debut after not fighting for over two years. Veron has been known to have a questionable chin, which is something Boyka, who came in with 24 KO/TKO victories, wanted to take advantage of. Both men wanted to stand and strike from distance, so we saw an all-out striking battle in round one, with Boyka perhaps getting the edge as a result of his higher output. When Round 2 started Boyka was straight onto Veron and managed to land some shots in a combination which rocked Veron. Boyka capitalised on this and landed a huge left hook, knocking Veron out cold and giving him his 25th KO/TKO win.

Middleweight Bout - Hektor Troy (160259) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Allen Robinson (199380) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Unanimous Decision
The fifth bout of the evening was a fight between two strikers in Hektor Troy and Allen Robinson. Robinson came out very aggressive, but Troy showed very good striking defense and accuracy and still managed to out-strike his opponent. Troy also did a superb job of defending the numerous cinch attempts by Robinson and on the occasions he found himself in the clinch, he defended well and found ways to escape. This was enough to hand Troy the victory in the eyes of a three judges, hopefully Troy decides to send some of his win bonus back home to Greece, we all know they could use it.

Lightweight Bout - Yngve Ingvar (140275) [Cold Blooded Killers] Def. Will Genia (215703) via Unanimous Decision
The last fight of the undercard featured GAMMA veteran Yngve Ingvar taking on Papua New Guinea native Will Genia, who had trouble making weight. Ingvar looked to light up Genia’s face with his hands, while Genia threw an incredible amount of kicks to the legs and body. Ingvar’s striking seemed to be a little crisper, earning him the first and third round of the fight. Genia had a decent second round, managing to clinch up with Ingvar, but it was not enough to save him from suffering a unanimous decision defeat.
Main Card

Lightweight Bout - Oscar Boma (212771) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Napoleon Dynamite (191238) [FinnFighters] via Round 2 KO (2:27)
The main card was kicked off with a fight between two Europeans in Oscar Boma and Napoleon Dynamite. The Belgian native Boma made his much anticipated GAMMA debut in this bout, bringing with him an extraordinary record of 15-2, with twelve of his wins coming by way of KO/TKO. His opponent, Napoleon Dynamite, was five years his elder, coming out of Finland. He came into what was his fourth GAMMA appearance with a record of 23-14-2, looking to keep a winning streak going, after recovering from a loss to Krystian Wojnasiewicz for the Lightweight title at GAMMA#477. Both fighters have held championships of other organisations in the past, with Boma being a WFC champion and Dynamite being a Galaxy FC champion. On top of that, Dynamite came in still wearing the lightweight title from GAMMA Contenders. Both fighters have been under long-term management by their current managers with

Alika Webb (62511) managing Boma and Christian Fager (73646) managing Dynamite.
The fight entered the clinch early in Round 1 and both strikers looked to strike. Boma was getting the better of Dynamite in the clinch, landing shots to his head and body. Dynamite, aware of this, shot in for a takedown which was easily defended by Boma and the fight returned to striking distance. From the distance, Dynamite seemed to be getting just a slight edge over Boma and was defending the clinch attempts nicely. At the start of the fifth minute of the round, Dynamite shot in for a takedown which was defended by Boma, then countered with a hard right hand, which dropped Dynamite. Dazed, Dynamite returned to his feet and started throwing at Boma. It seemed that Boma decided to let Dynamite off the hook, perhaps to conserve energy, and did not follow up on an oportuity to finish the fight towards the end of Round 1.
Round 2 continued from where Round 1 left off with Dynamite being quite dominant in the stand-up battle. Against the flow of action, Boma landed a monster head kick towards the end of the second minute, knocking Dynamite down to the canvas for a second time. Boma waved Dynamite back to his feet and the action continued. Once again, Dynamite immediately got back on the striking, only to have his leg kick countered with yet another head kick by Boma, this one knocking him out cold, giving Boma a spectacular head kick knockout.
The win for Oscar Bomma gave him his 16th career victory and showed that he is more than capable of competing with the elite here at GAMMA. Boma remembered to thank the fans following the fight and is definitely one GAMMA fans will be looking out for as he hopes to rise to the top of the lightweight division.

Welterweight Bout - "Ill" Illias Illiadis (192937) [FinnFighters] Def. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (159898) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 1 Submission (3:24) Submission of the Night
The second match of the main card was a rematch between elite grapplers Illias Illiadis and Jimmy Snuka at 170 pounds. The second Greek fighter to appear on the GAMMA#488 card, Illiadis, came off second best to Snuka in their first fight and both he and his manager Mr Gutz (3074) were both itching to set the record straight and with a record of 17-7-1 and a BJJ black belt it was a definite possibility. The Fijian Jimmy Snuka and his manager Jebba. (61031) were looking to recreate the previous match which saw Snuka win via armbar. Snuka brought with him to the fight, a much more decorated career with a record of 28-15, 25 previous GAMMA appearances, including numerous tittle matches, one of which saw him win the Lightweight Championship and one which saw him defend it. A second win against Illiadis would have seen him increase his win streak to three and push him closer to the Welterweight title.

Almost immediately Jimmy Snuka landed a takedown into Illiadis’ guard. Illiadis, however, was not keen to stay there and swept using his butterfly guard. Snuka managed to get guard from the bottom and looked to catch Illiadis in a triangle choke, but Illiadis prevented it before he was in any real danger and then advanced to half guard, then straight to mount. Illiadis then went for a submission attempt of his own, which he could not get, before losing his dominant position as Snuka used a hip escape effectively to slide a leg through and regain half guard. Half way through the round, the fight already had BJJ fans on the edge of their seats watching what could only be described as a human chess match. Illiadis regained mount, only to be swept by Snuka who now found himself in the guard of Illiadis. Snuka immediately looked to advance position but Illiadis wanted none of it and looked to lock in a submission. After eating an elbow and defending his guard, Illiadis pounced on an opening and locked a loose triangle on Snuka. Snuka was very relaxed in the triangle, not expecting Illiadis to be able to finish, but at what must have been close to light speed, Illiadis grabbed his ankle and pushed off Snukas hip to tighten the triangle and squeezed Snuka into submission.
Illiadis, elated at getting one back over Snuka still remembered to thank the fans in attendance as he was awarded his fifth submission victory. Snuka was perhaps a little light headed after the triangle choke and said 'What the hell just happened? Anyone get the license plate number off that truck?' into the microphone, much to the amusement of Wombley Arena. Illiadis’ triangle choke victory was enough to earn him submission of the night honours and a little extra money to send back to Greece.

Middleweight Bout - "King of the Seven Seas" Arthur Curry (92326) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. "Lightnin" Lazaro Molina (183872) via Round 2 TKO (0:05) Fight of the Night
The co-main event of the evening was a middleweight bout between veteran striker Arthur Curry and “Lightnin” Lazaro Molina. The word veteran does not do Arthur Curry justice, with the 39 year old Brazilian making his 28th GAMMA appearance in his 69th fight. With a record of 50-19 and 12 wins in his last 13 fights, it was difficult not to view him as the favourite coming in. Molina is no pushover though, at 31 years old and a record of 25-12, the Cuban native was a definite threat of pulling off an upset in his second GAMMA fight. Throughout Molina’s career, he has held various belts in minor organisations and under current manager Jay Stoner (55630) is looking to work his way up through GAMMA and win the most prestigious belt in MMA. Curry on the other hand has been there and done that, he is a 2 time GAMMA champion under manager Gale Hawthorne (22636) and is keen on taking back what is his, with a win in this match putting him closer to that goal.

Lazaro Molina came out very aggressive to begin round 1, but was having trouble landing anything on Curry who was displaying his ridiculous striking defence. Curry was also finding a home for his strikes landing several punches and kicks until cutting Molina in the second minute, before landing a jab which left Molina seeing a few stars. Desperate to stay in the fight, Molina went on the offensive, only to eat a huge right hand from Curry which sent him down to the canvas. Molina acrobatically got up, but was still wobbly. He again went on the offensive, but Curry landed a right hook which sent him straight back down. Showing off tremendous heart, Molina rose to his feet once more and did not let Curry finish him. They continued to trade strikes with Curry getting the better of Molina and as the round closed off, Curry dropped Molina for a third time, but there was no time to pursue a finish.

Molina, obviously still dazed from the events of Round 1, was hit with a hard right hand. Curry followed that up with some more strikes, earning the victory by TKO.
A victorious Arthur Curry remembered to thank his fans after winning his 51st fight and sending Molina back to the drawing board. The win was enough to earn Curry a title shot, against Charles LaFontier at Light Heavyweight. The fight was awarded Fight of the Night honours and judging by the fans’ reaction, Corleone got that spot-on.

Light Heavyweight Title Fight - Charles LaFontier (173319) [Lords of War] Def. Ender Wiggin (80914) [THE ILLUMINATI] via Round 1 TKO (2:59)
The main event of the evening was a light heavyweight championship fight between Charles LaFontier and Ender Wiggin. Frenchman LaFontier was looking to defend his belt for the first time in this fight after beating Ted Stefans for it at GAMMA#483. Coming in with a record of 24-14, with 20 of those wins coming by KO/TKO, there was seemingly no question about how his manager Kjell Svärd (62670) would want him fighting. Wiggin was not going to make that easy though, the Andorran coming in with a record of 32-20 with his most recent victory being a win over former pound for pound number one and former GAMMA champion Scotty Bennet. This fight would mark Wiggin’s third shot at GAMMA gold, coming off second best in his past 2. Interestingly enough, Wiggin had fought in 5 career championship fights, coming into this bout and lost four of them, showing that perhaps the pressure can get to him, something he may need to work on with manager Boondock The Destroyer (503).

Wiggin dived into the clinch the moment the fight started and looked to work LaFontier over with some strikes. LaFontier did not mind the clinch battle at all and landed some strikes of his own, cutting Wiggin with an uppercut. While both fighters were landing, LaFontier seemed to be getting the better of the clinch, but Wiggin was determined to stay in it and turn things around. They continued to trade strikes throughout the first three minutes until LaFontier landed a big right hand rocking Wiggin. LaFontier looked to capitalise on that and landed a huge uppercut sending Wiggin falling back to the cage, where he was met with a barrage of strikes from the Frenchman LaFontier. Wiggin was out on his feet, but the referee was having a bit of a Steve Mazzagatti moment and let Wiggin take quite a few unnecessary punches before stopping the fight and copped some serious abuse from LaFontier. I hope no children in France were watching this.
The victory saw LaFontier defend his belt and earn Knockout of the Night honours. He was, however, very cocky in his post-fight interview, perhaps he was just having trouble with words, either way the fans did not like it.

That bout capped of a spectacular evening of fights, stay tuned for GAMMA#489.

GAMMA#489 Steigelmann v Tamias Review

On June the 20th of 2015, The original Global Association of MMA™, managed by Mentor Corleone (3503), presented GAMMA#489 Steigelmann v Tamias (830871) for the 91, 576 GAMMA fans in attendance at the LA Memorial Colossuseum, as well as the hundreds of thousands of fans watching from all over the world. GAMMA#489 was proudly sponsored by GREEN!160, providing nutritional products from Las Vegas.
The evening’s main event featured a rematch between Gunnar Steigelmann and Tamias Poochyena, only this time the Open Weight Championship was on the line. The card was dominated with Open Weight bouts, featuring the likes of other great fighters including Lan Mandragon, Fat Gorilla and Kieron Radebe. I’m Nick James, and this is your review of GAMMA#489 Steigelmann v Tamias. Full details can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=830871

Undercard
Open Weight Bout - Leeroy Russo (84056) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Brian "Bad" Mason (206606) [DomiNation] via Unanimous Decision
The evening was kicked off with a bout between Leeroy Russo and Brian Mason. Striker Russo made his GAMMA debut in this fight and was looking to start his GAMMA career with a bang, to get the attention of the higher powers and with a record of 32-20 coming in, it was a definite possibility. His opponent Mason made his second GAMMA appearance after losing his debut to Zeus Leonidas. The tactics of each fighter were obvious within the first few minutes, with Russo wanting to stand and Bang and Mason wanting to wrestle. Russo prepared well for the wrestling ability of Mason and displayed some great escapes as well as a sweep. Russo’s dominance on the feet and defensive wrestling was more than enough to earn him a unanimous decision victory.

Light Heavyweight Bout - Harry Punani (105478) [GRABTHE.INFO] Def. Henry Olonga (157683) [LEGION OF DOOM]
The second bout of the evening marked the GAMMA debuts of two light heavyweights in Harry Punani and Henry Olonga. Punani, a wrestling stand out, made his 60th professional appearance in this bout after losing 4 of his last 5 fights. His opponent, Olonga, came in making only his 10th professional appearance after winning his first 9 fights, with this fight being under a new manager in Gale Hawthorne (22636). He had not, however, fought since 2013, so there was definitely some ring rust on his part coming in. Punani put in a dominant wrestling performance which Olonga really had no answer for, setting up a well-earned unanimous decision victory for Punani. Olonga’s loss sends him back to the drawing board with a loss for the first time, so it will be interesting to see how he recovers from this.

Lightweight Bout - Augustus "The Last Prince" Belvedere IV (123199) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Vasiliy "Khozyain" Khrapov (202931) via Round 2 TKO (3:48)
The next fight featured yet another fighter making his GAMMA debut in Vasiliy Khrapov who faced Augustus Belvedere IV. Belvedere IV, unlike his opponent, can be considered a veteran of sorts here at GAMMA as he came in with 11 previous GAMMA fights and a win streak 3 fights long. After slugging it out in minor organisations for a lengthy amount of time, wrestler Vasiliy Khrapov was finally given an opportunity to fight in GAMMA at 36 years old, bringing with him a decent 19-11 record. After a first round dominated by Belvedere IV’s striking, he managed to land a heavy head kick and right hand midway through the second round, before finishing Khrapov with strikes and delivering his usual offensive and misguided speech regarding the Islamic faith, fuelled by his blind hatred and prejudice. After a poor GAMMA debut, Khrapov has found himself unsigned and low on cash.

Middleweight Bout – Ava "Q" Noel (181965) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Luca "scrapatutti" Turilli (131893) [steel Penn Alliance] via Round 1 KO (3:44)
The next bout took place at 185 and featured Ava Noel and Luca Turilli. Noel came into the fight with a record of 19-13 and was looking to come back from defeat against Arthur Curry in what would be his third GAMMA fight. His opponent Turilli has been around GAMMA much longer, but was also coming off the back of a defeat. Both men are tremendous strikers and always look to finish fights, so there was no doubt that their fight would be a stand up war and would probably end with one of the men seeing stars. The fight was quite even with both men being cut in the first round and landing a decent amount of strikes. Towards the end of the round, Noel hit Turilli with a hard cross which rocked him. Noel didn’t need a second invitation and stormed Turilli, eventually hitting him with another hard cross which sent Turilli’s lights out and his mouth guard into the crowd, giving Turillo his second loss in a row.

Open Weight Bout - Iivana "Miltei" Jalo (191173) [FinnFighters] Def. Curtly Ambrose (144959) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 2 TKO (3:28)
The fifth fight of the evening pitted Iivana Jalo against Curtly Ambrose. Boxer Jalo came into the fight with a record of 27-17, but was coming off the back of a loss to Fat Gorilla in his very first GAMMA appearance. His opponent Ambrose, while older than Jalo, had a much smaller record of 11-3-1, partly due to having not competed since 2013. This fight marked his first GAMMA fight, which is by no means an easy way to come back from a large lay-off, especiall against an opponent like Jalo. Ambrose showed no sign of ring rust in the first round and dominated Jalo from both distance as well as in the clinch. The second round started much the same until the fourth minute, where Jalo ducked under a hook and landed a brutal uppercut which sent him staggering into the cage and the ref running between the fighters to prevent further damage. Not the MMA return Ambrose was hoping for, but he did look very good up until the TKO.

Light Heavyweight Bout - Yorick "The Last Man" Brown (178737) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Marko Torturo (54639) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 2 TKO (0:44)
The final bout of the undercard was a fight between strikers Yorick Brown and Marko Torturo. Brown, with a record of 25-12 and a 2 fight win streak, is a fighter right near the top of the pack in GAMMA’s Light Heavyweight division. His opponent Torturo is a true veteran of the sport, he has had over 75 professional fights and with a win streak of five fights coming into this bout, the 41 year old is showing no signs of slowing down. Brown put on a striking clinic in round 1, completely out striking Torturo, which he continued into the second round, landing an early combination which dropped Torturo. Brown let him stand back up before swarming him with strikes until the referee had no choice but to award Brown with win number 26.

Main Card
Open Weight Bout - Kieron "The Chief" Radebe (183758) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Billy "Danzinie" Danze (149908) via Unanimous Decision
The first fight of the main card saw striker Kieron Radebe go up against Billy Danze. This fight marked Radebe’s 5th fight at GAMMA, having won 3 of his previous 4. Those 4 fights were also under a new manager, Gerbert Bryant (84742), a partnership which has been quite a success thus far. The Englishman, Radebe, has an outstanding skill set, particularly in the striking department, but has never held gold in any organisation and at 31 years old, there is still plenty of time for him to do it here at GAMMA. His opponent is quite the opposite of Radebe. Danze is an elite grappler from the US and has an extensive championship history, holding various championships at other organisations, including the Steel Penn belt which he still holds. Upon entering GAMMA, the 34 year old had a record of 30-11 and a win streak 10 fights long. This was enough to warrant him an instant title figts against Tamias Poochyena and Patrick Bateman, both of which he lost. Coming into the bout with Radebe, both he and his manager Walt Heisenberg (50814), had to prepare for a 3 round non-title fight for the first time in 9 fights and were both desperate to get a win on the board against a very tough opponent.
Right at the beginning of the first round, the fight nearly came to an end with Radebe eating some huge shots while being pressed against the cage, one of which cut him. Radebe worked out of the position and the fight returned to distance where he immediately found himself defending takedowns. He defended four takedowns and began to dominate the striking exchanges before cutting Danze, and then clinching up with him against the cage. Danze, a BJJ black belt decided to pull guard and instantly began looking for submissions, all of which were defended well by Radebe until he closed off a dominant round in the guard of Danze.
Round 2 commenced with Radebe dominating the stand up and landing some stellar leg kicks, which really slowed down Danze and made it even harder for him to score takedowns on Radebe. Radebe defended takedown after takedown, both in the clinch and from distance and closed off a dominant round with a spinning back kick.
Round 3 started very much the same until Radebe scored a heavy head kick which knocked Danze down and rocked him. Radebe called him back to the feet and continued to chip away at him, looking for a finish. Against the flow of the match, Danze finally scored with a takedown, but Radebe defended well until the referee returned the fight to the feet, where Radebe would re-enter the clinch and dominate the rest of the round.
Radabe was handed a unanimous decision victory after an impressive performance, with two of the judges going as far as to score round 2 as 10-8 in favour of Radebe, bringing him closer to his dream of wearing GAMMA gold. In his post-fight interview, he gave a very heartfelt thank you to his fans for all they do for him. With loses in all 3 of his GAMMA bouts, Danze has learnt the hard way that competition here at GAMMA is like no other organisation and he will need to come up with something else in order to start picking up wins here.

Middleweight Bout - Bobby "The Black Knight" Bishop (186392) [LooHoo Crew] Def. Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (142862) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Unanimous Decision
The second fight of the main card was a bout between Bobby Bishop and Diego Sanchez, which had big implications for the top of the middleweight division. At 31 years olf, Northern Ireland’s Bobby Bishop came into what was his second GAMMA fight with a record of 24-9-1, after picking up a win against Luca Turilli in his GAMMA debut at GAMMA#482. All of Bishop’s fights have been under the management of Cause McDubree (17807) who has lead him to several title fights and becoming the champion at RYZE: New York. His opponent Diego Sanchez had a much more extensive GAMMA record coming into the fight with 18 previous GAMMA fights. Although he did not begin his career with current manager Gale Hawthorne (22636), they have been working together since 2012 and the majority of his 60 fights have come under his management. As well as an extensive GAMMA history, Sanchez brought with him to the fight, a 40-18-2 record and an extensive championship history. At 35 years old the Mexican, Sanchez, has had plenty of time to fight in various organisations and has taken part in 27 chapionship fights, holding the titles of 3 organisations including GAMMA 3 times. It is interesting to note that he has held belts at 135, 145 and 155, but is now fighting in the 185 pound division here at GAMMA. Another interesting statistic is that while under Hawthorne’s management, he has never successfully defended a title more than once. Coming into the fight, Sanchez knew a win against Bishop could set him up with title fight number 28, so he was desperate for the win.
Both fighters are known for their striking ability and were more than happy to slug it out at distance for the duration of the battle. It became obvious in the first round that the two strikers were very evenly matched as they both threw a high volumes of strikes at their opponents, trying to inflict some damage on not only the face of their opponent, but also the body and legs. The round was very even, but Diego Sanchez was seemingly getting the better of the exchanges throughout the round.
Round 2 was very much the same, with the two strikers banging from distance. Despite being cut and falling victim to a nasty groin shot, Bishop showed his class and took round 2 from Diego, making the third round the decider.
Sanchez, a Mixed Martial Arts veteran, knew the importance of the final round and was ready to pull out a match winning performance. Bishop simply could not keep up with the output of Sanchez as Sanchez put in the most dominant round of either fighter, landing a large number of strikes, which was more than enough to take the final round.
Going into the judges’ decision, most people in the arena and at home would have been thinking Diego Sanchez would get the nod, but when the judges’ decision was rendered, that was not the case. Bishop was awarded the split decision victory, much to the disgust of fans, Gale Hawthorne and most of all Diego Sanchez, Bobby Bishop didn’t seem to mind though, as he hyped himself after the fight, before being awarded with an opportunity to fight for the belt. The statistics released after the fight showed that Sanchez did indeed land more strikes in rounds 1 and 3 and should probably have been given the decision, but it just goes to show that there are no guarantees when you leave a fight in the hands of the judges.

Open Weight Bout - Lan "Aanallein" Mandragoran (169650) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Fat Gorrila (204973) via Round 1 KO (0:52) Knockout of the Night
The co-main event of the evening was a Open Weight bout between elite finishers Lan Mandragon and Fat Gorilla. As well as being finishers, both fighters have a lot in common in that they have both been fighting at the top of GAMMA for a long time and are both former champions. They have also headlined an event together in which Mandragon beat Gorilla via TKO to claim his Open Weight title, a loss Gorilla has been itching to avenge for some time. Indian striker Lan Mandragon is yet another Gale Hawthorne (22636) fighter, who is currently 32 years old and brought a record of 30-15 into the Gorilla fight. He is a two time GAMMA champion, but came into the fight of the back of a loss to Gunnar Steigelmann for the championship. His opponent Fat Gorilla hails from Madagascar and is four years younger than his opponent. The 28 year old BJJ black belt went into the fight with a record of 15-10 with all of his fights being managed by Igor Psycho (6994). He came into the fight as a one-time GAMMA champion and would be hoping to carry the momentum of his last fight, a TKO victory over Iivana Jalo, all the way to a second championship reign, but first he needed to get through Mandragon.
We were all expecting fireworks, but I don’t think anybody was quite expecting what happened in the fight. The round started with both guys throwing a few strikes, trying to feel each other out, until Mandragon hit a crazy flying knee to the temple of Gorilla, knocking him out.
Mandragon, stoked with his incredible victory, left the cage without saying anything. His brutal knockout made the KO of a night decision pretty straight forward and was enough to earn him the next title shot in the Open Weight division.

Open Weight Title Fight - Tamias Poochyena (135965) [GRABTHE.INFO] Def. Gunnar Steigelmann (196145) [Milwaukee’s Best] via Split Decision Fight of the Night
The main event of the evening was a thrilling battle between Tamias Poochyena and Gunnar Steigelmann for the GAMMA Open Weight title. Coming into the fight Poochyena had won eight of his last nine fights, including a win over his opponent Steigelmann in 2014. A win in this fight would also mark the start of his second run as GAMMA champion, after losing the belt to Lan Mandragon in his only GAMMA loss. Poochyena and his manager, Seppo Koskinen (2820), are looking to make this championship run more memorable and at 36 years old, the Finland native still has some time to make that happen, but it all needed to start with a victory over Steigelmann. The records of Poochyena and Steigelmann were 37-16-3 and 20-10 respectively, highlighting the fact that German fighter Gunnar Steigelmann is 6 years younger than his opponent. Steigelmann had been on an absolute tear leading into the fight, with a win streak of 6 including his most recent victory over the man who beat Poochyena for the belt. Steigelmann and his manager, Dom Jaehnke (20196), were surely impressed with the form of Steigelmann coming into the fight, but would have both been relishing the opportunity to get a win back over Poochyena. It is interesting to note that Poochyena is 26cm taller than Steigelmann, leading to a prominent reach advantage which could have definitely affected the outcome of the match.
Both men being strikers had no interest in taking the fight to the ground or clinching, leaving the fans with a stand up war to keep them entertained. At the beginning of the first round, Steigelmann was instantly the more aggressive fighter, throwing a much greater volume of strikes, but despite this, he was having a lot of trouble landing his punches due to his heavy reach disadvantage. He was however, landing a lot of leg kicks to the long limbs of Poochyena perhaps in the hope that they would eventually begin to slow him down. Against the flow of action, Poochyena opened a cut on Steigelmann with a right hand. The round continued the way it had been going after that, leading to Steigelmann clearly winning the round.
In the second round, Poochyena seemed to be more awake and began throwing and landing some more strikes, particularly leg kicks of his own. This lead to a very close second round, but Poochyena seemed to take it.
In round 3, Poochyena had definitely found his range, or perhaps his leg kicks were beginning to take a toll on Steigelmann. Poochyena dominated the round, completely out striking his opponent. This lead to Steigelmann’s cut being worsened, something which worried his corner as they did not want to see their fighter lose on the basis of a cut. Poochyna continued to dominate the round until the buzzer went.
Poochyena came alive in the fourth round, scoring an early knockdown from a counter combination which rocked Steigelmann. Poochyena waved him back to his feet only to score a second knockdown with a big right hand. About a minute later poochyena hit the same counter combination, knocking Steigelmann down a third time. Around two minutes after that, Poochyena landed a counter head kick scoring a fourth knockdown in the space of a single round. Steigelmann showed a tremendous chin and undying heart to stay in the fight despite being rocked and knocked down four times in the space of five minutes, but clearly lost round 4, meaning he needed a finish in round 5.
In round 5, Steigelmann tried to make a comeback, but was struggling to land anything on Poochyena. The round was however, much more even than the previous two, but Poochyena seemed to get the better of Steigelmann in the final round. It was certainly a much closer round than the previous two, however.
As the judges rendered their decision, it seemed like a pretty clear win for Poochyena, as he had most likely won four of the rounds, with round 4 possibly being a 10-8 round. One of the judges, however, gave the fight to Steigelmann. I am not sure what fight he was watching, but it didn’t matter in the end as Tamias Poochyena took the split decision victory. Following the fight Poochyena gave a terribly incoherent speech, trying to hype himself, which marked a good time for the fans to start heading out after a spectacular night of fights.
Stay tuned for GAMMA#490!

GAMMA Gossip #47

It has been a while since i last did an update of the latest news, so here we go!

GAMMA is on a role at the moment. We are currently the largest organization in the game with over 450 fighters signed to GAMMA or one of our affiliate organizations based all over the world. We also broke our own record this week, with 13 Top 100 p4p fighters, which is a personal best.

Will Renan get the #1 spot?

Renan St Juste is 39y old, but i am not too certain he knows that. He last was crowned p4p ranked #1 fighter in the world in May 2013, but is in prime position to repeat that feat over 2 1/2 years later! He has a massive fight against Gutz for the title, which should push him one more step closer to his goal. Currently ranked at #4 worldwide, a win against Gutz could open the door for a massive super fight which could end the cycle.

2x Gunnar's holding titles

It kind of went under the radar, but we have 2 Gunnar's holding titles at the same time! Gunnar Steigelmann is currently holding the 265lbs title where as Gunnar Gustavsson is the newly crowned 205lbs champ. So it is kind of obvious that if you want to be a GAMMA champ, just change your name to Gunnar (ok, that was a joke :-) )

Arthur Curry (92326) Could retire after September 19th

All time GAMMA great Arthur Curry could have his last fight on the 19th of September. Arthur has been with us for a long time, held titles at 185 and 205lbs, but his road could be over very soon. He already lost his title to Gunnar Gustavsson last month, but his career could be on the line on the 19th. He has been considering retiring for a while now, but after moving up a division and winning the title, he kept the run going, so it will all be decided soon.

Ein Stein (182566) Regains title

Ein Stein was on a 4 fight losing streak after losing the title to Timofey Boyko. His career seemed to be going downhill really fast, however after some adjustments to strategy (and some love from the admin for changing the fight engine AGAIN) Ein was on a roll again! Ein won 4 in a row, ironically beating Boyko for the title after losing 2x to him in the past.

Diego Sanchez becomes first 3 time champ!

Diego was always a very large 145/155lbs fighter, standing at 188 cm. However he had 2 short lived title runs in both divisions. He decided to move up to compete against larger fighters. Instead of moving up one division though, he went from 155lbs to 185lbs. Nobody expected him to become a champ straight off the bat though, beating then dominant champ Ricard Cuenca for the title. This has made Diego the first and only 3 time champ in 3 different divisions!

Rau Utu enters GAMMA with a bang!

Rau Utu is a known commodity around the world, a true veteran of Syn, Ascension and Evolution. After long negotiations with GAMMA management he moved over from his previous home (Evolution) to join GAMMA. He beat Doomsday Drost in his opening fight, then beat teamate Tamias Poochyena for the 265+lbs title this weekend. It is safe to say his coming to GAMMA has been highly impressive. He will be fighting Slevin in his first title defense.

Jt Colossus equals Raz Matazz KO's inside GAMMA

Jt is close to beating several record, one of which is the total KOs in the org. At the tender age of 44y, Jt is still going strong! 24 KO wins total so far equals Raz Matazz's 24 inside the org. Raz does however have 3 fights outside the org (via super fights). Jt should be pushing to beat the 24 mark soon and who knows, he could go all the way to take on the 27 total KO record in the future as well.

Jimmy Snuka Equals Submission record (8)

Jimmy has always been a Submission specialist. He now has 8 total submissions which is a GAMMA record held by both Frank Sinatra (8)
and John Heartman (8). The closest active with 7 is Willy Wonka. Jimmy has a high profile fight coming soon and he is hoping to get the one submission which will put him ahead of the competition by 1.

GAMMA#490 Drost v Bateman Review

Light Heavyweight Bout - Lars Voller (183546) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Paul "PJ" Jones (104531) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 2 TKO (0:25)
Light heavyweights Lars Voller and Paul Jones kicked off the evening with an exciting bout. Both fighters were desperate for the win as they had suffered defeats in their last two respective fights. Voller dominated the first round, particularly in the clinch, opening up a significant cut on the face of Jones. As soon as Round 2 commenced, Voller hit Jones with a devastating head kick, which knocked Jones down and rocked him. Voller wanted nothing to do with a BJJ red belt on the ground and let him back up, where he clinched with him and finished him off with some strikes against the cage. Following his loss, Jones left GAMMA to continue his career elsewhere.

Middleweight Bout - Viv Richards (168454) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. "The Cannibal" Karl Denke (63718) via Round 3 Submission (3:09)
Up next was a middleweight bout between Viv Richards and the 41 year old veteran Karl Denke. This fight marked the GAMMA debut of Viv Richards and depite his recent form Denke, a 64 fight veteran, was going to be no easy match up. The opening two rounds were close, with Richards probably getting the edge, but they ultimately didn’t matter after Richards rocked Denke, before beating him into submission in the third round. With now four losses in a row, retirement is surely something Denke and his manager would be considering at the moment.

Featherweight Bout - Russian "The Undead" Zombie (224142) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Danny White (229844) [Murder Inc] via Unanimous Decision
The third bout of the evening saw two young fighters in Russian Zombie and Danny White, continue to build their GAMMA careers. Both fighters came into the bout at just 26 years old and relatively similar records at 10-4 and 13-4 respectively. Zombie seemed to get the edge in the first round, then in the second, White got his ground game going and dominated the round. The final round was the most successful for White, which was enough for all three judges to score the bout 29-28 in his favour, giving him his second GAMMA victory, setting up a bigger fight in the future.

Welterweight Bout - Alexander "Russian Vityaz" Povetkin (50112) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Oberyn "The Model" Martell (156085) via Round 3 KO (1:59)
The next bout pitted Alexander Povetkin against Oberyn Martell. Both of the fighters brought with them questionable form, with Povetkin having lost his last two and Martel having won only five of his 12 fights at GAMMA. At 41 years old, the veteran Povetkin was also looking to show the world he’s still got it, with a win against a much younger fighter. Povetkin won the first round, then went on to dominate the second. Povetkin was raring to go in the final round and wanted a finish. He rocked Martell early on with a hard combination before dropping him with another combination. After letting him up, Povetkin hit him with some more hard punches before sealing it off with a huge right hand, which knocked Martell out cold, extending his record to 37-18-1

Open Weight Bout - Marcus Fenix (186326) Def. Danny Volcanic (129651) [Valhalla] via Unanimous Decision
The penultimate bout of the undercard saw Marcus Fenix face Danny Volcanic. Despite being six years younger than his opponent, Fenix brought with him a large experience advantage, but with a rather average record of 28-20, he would have been very keen to start a big win streak off the back of a loss. Volcanic came into the bout off of the back of a win in his GAMMA debut and was looking to make a quick climb through the GAMMA rankings. Fenix showed his class throughout the fight, out-striking and out-grappling Volcanic in all three rounds to bring home the unanimous decision victory and his sixth GAMMA victory.

Open Weight Bout - "The WarWagon" Jt Colossus (1688) [THE ILLUMINATI] Def. K.J. Choi (127918) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Round 1 TKO (2:19)
The feature bout of the undercard saw a true legend of both MMA and GAMMA in Jt Colossus go up against South Korean K.J. Choi. At 43 years old Colossus has done it all in this sport, coming into the fight with a record of 48-36-1, that’s a total of 85 fights. In adition to this, he has held titles in three organisations including one title reign here at GAMMA. His opponent Choi does not make for an easy opponent for anyone and was looking to build on his last fight which saw him take away a decision victory. Collusses clinched early in round one and that was pretty much it. He threw a multitude of punches while stopping Choi from breaking, until rocking him and finishing him against the cage, to take home his 49th victory, showing the world that at 43, he’s still got it.

Main Card
Welterweight Bout - Yeshua "I AM" Immanuel (123742) [THE ILLUMINATI] Def. "Dai tuong" Phan Tran Le (162219) [Murder Inc] via Round 2 TKO (4:33)
The first fight of the main card pitted 37 year old Yeshua Immanuel against 33 year old Phan Tran Le. Going into the fight, Israeli Immanuel had a professional MMA record of 18-12-1. It is interesting to note that the majority of Immanuel’s career has been here in GAMMA, with only five of his 31 fights occurring elsewhere, thus demonstrating that his manager Boondock The Destroyer (503) has been very pleased with the management of GAMMA. After losing the GAMMA title to Renan St Juste at GAMMA#476, Immanuel came a little undone and lost his next two fights. He was itching to get back into the win column, but a fight against Le is never easy. Despite being younger than Immanuel, Canadian Phan Tran Le is the more experienced of the two fighters and came in with a record of 27-18. While his time at GAMMA does not quite compare to Immanuel’s, Le has been around a while under manager Seamus OConnell (19091) and came into the fight off the back of wins against David Charles and Stanly Williams. Le has never fought for a title here at GAMMA, but has been the champion of a minor organisation. Both men went into the fight wanting to get back into the title mix, which made for an interesting fight while it lasted.
Immanuel took the fight into the clinch early in round one and both men began throwing strikes. Immanuel cut Le early with an elbow, which did not concern Le at the time. The two men continud striking, with Immaunel being both more active and more accurate, eventually rocking Le in the third minute. Le kept it together, but was hit with another elbow on the cut, opening it up even more. Both men continued to strike until the end of the round, with Immanuel getting the better of Le throughout the round.

Round 2 started much the same with Immanuel clinching. He landed another shot on the cut of Le, making it even worse before scoring a knockdown. Le worked his way up with the cage, only to be knocked down a minute later. On his way up from the second knockdown, he copped another shot on his cut, which was beginning to look rather gruesome. They continued battling in the clinch until Immanuel hit yet another elbow on the cut of Le in the fifth minute, which was enough for the referee to call in the doctor. The doctor ended the fight, meaning Immanuel won by way of TKO.
Immanuel was very pleased to be back in the win column and remembered to thank his sponsor after during the post-fight interview. During Le’s interview, I believe he said a quote from the video game Street Fighter, perhaps he was a little delirious from the blood loss.

Open Weight Bout - Vladislav "Farmer Mysterio" Maslow (197361) [The Hart Foundation] Def. Tio Malone (182171) [The Broken Halo Pride] via Round 2 TKO (1:13)
The next bout saw Russian Vladislav go up against American Tio Malone. At 30 years old, Vladislav Maslow had a professional record of 20-12 going into the bout, but was coming off the back of loss to open weight standout Tamias Poochyena in his last bout, which was his GAMMA debut. Maslow has taken part in many title fights in minor organisations, but has only ever had a brief stint as a champion. Now under the management of Mickey Hart (89500), he hopes to claim the most prestigious belt MMA has to offer. His opponent Malone, is a year his elder, but has less experience and only carried a record of 13-5 into the fight. Like his opponent, Malone has fairly recently come under new management in the form of Mega Jug (51182), after parting ways with his former manager after losing his GAMMA title to Patrick Bateman and his following fight to Fat Gorilla. He did however manage to get back to his winning ways in his last fight and was looking to make it two in a row against Maslow.
It did not take long for the intentions of both fighters to become crystal clear. Both men wanted to strike from a distance and they got their respective wishes. Maslow was quite a bit more aggressive than his opponent, which saw him thoroughly outstrike Malone and win the first round quite comfortably.

Round two started very much the same until Maslow hit Malone with a hard head kick early in the second minute. Malone fell to the floor and was met with a barrage of strikes, forcing the referee to end the fight.
Maslow was very pleased to have picked up his first GAMMA win and remembered to thank his fans following the fight. His opponent, however, has now lost 5 of his last six fights, all by way of KO/TKO, perhaps demonstrating that he has lost his chin, or maybe it was always fragile and he is now struggling to protect it.

Light Heavyweight Bout - "The Purple Stripe" Pierre Trudeau (113658) [Dogs of War] Def. "The Bear" Pavel Dubrov (186835) [LEGION OF DOOM] via Unanimous Decision
The co-main event of the evening saw Pavel Dubrov make his GAMMA debut against GAMMA veteran Pierre Trudeau. 38 year old Trudeau is a native of Canada and has been fighting in GAMMA since his manager Rogelio Cottonfloss (88129) signed him and brought him here in early 2014. Since then, he has fought 17 times here at GAMMA and holds wins over Ted Stefans and Ender Wiggin. He was hoping to claim his 33rd professional victory in this bout and get another shot at the GAMMA gold, which he has failed to win on four occasions. His opponent Dubrov was set to make his GAMMA debut at 31 years old. Dubrov, a Russian native, brought wit him a record of 17-9 under the management of the one and only Mentor Corleone (3503). Dubrov has held a title in a now extinct organisation, but will be hoping to eventually hold the big one here at GAMMA.

Round one saw a decent mix of striking from distance as well as in the clinch. Both men were cut early on, before Dubrov initiated the clinch. Trudeau was the more active fighter in the clinch before breaking it. Trudeau was winning from the distance so Dubrov clinced again, but was also struggling in the clinch. The clinch was broken, then reinitiated by Trudeau to close what was just about a winning round for him.
Trudeau went for a bit of a different tactic in round 2 and clinched early before pulling guard. From his guard he swept Dubrov and tried to pass before being swept by Dubrov, who was very inactive from Trudeau’s guard, causing the referee to stand them up. Dubrov clinched almost instantly, but Trudeau pulled guard again. Dubrov managed to stand up from Trudeau’s guard just before the end of the round. It was a hard round to score, as Dubrov had more top time, but Trudeau was more active on the ground, but the second round would just about go to Trudeau.
Round three was much like round one, however, both men seemed keen to clinch. Trudeau got the better of the exchanges and made a mess of Dubrov’s face throughout the round. The final round was probably the most dominant for Trudeau, but was still close.
Trudeau would have thought he won the fight, but was probably nervous as you can never know with the judges. Fortunately for him, all three judges gave him the win, extending his record to 33-15-2 and earning him a title shot.

Open Weight Title Bout - "American Psycho" Patrick Bateman (180187) [LEGION OF DOOM] Def. Doomsday Drost (131933) [GRABTHE.INFO] via Round 1 TKO (3:53)
The main event of the evening was the fight GAMMA fans around the world had been waiting for, Patrick Bateman challenging Doomsday Drost for his his open weight belt against. Drost came into the bout with a record of 32-15 at 36 years old. The Canadian is only a recent addition to GAMMA with his last bout being his debut. That bout saw him beat Patrick Bateman for the open weight belt, which is about the best start to a GAMMA career anyone could hope for. His manager Seppo Koskinen (2820) was looking to prove that his man’s win over Bateman was no fluke and beating him a second time would prove just that. American 35 year old Bateman, was furious about losing his belt to Drost and was dying to set the record straight in this bout. He came into the bout with a record of 29-12, with most of his fights coming under the management of his current manager Digga Dogman (91254). The loss to Drost was his first in eight bouts, which would perhaps serve as a wakeup call and get him back to his dominating ways.

Both fighters were keen to keep the fight at a distance in round one, with Bateman opening up a cut on Drost early. Cuts have really been Drost’s Achilles heel so to speak, throughout his career, something I’m sue Bateman knew well. The cut became a target for bateman as the two men continued to strike. Towards the 2 minute mark, Bateman hit the cut again, making it worse. In the fourth minute of the bout, he hit it twice more producing one ugly sight. Concerned for Drost’s safety, the referee called the doctor into the cage. The doctor called the fight off, meaning Bateman won the fight via TKO.
Bateman, ecstatic to win his belt back thanked the fans in attendance, which almost made up for their disappointment in the way the fight ended.

Syn vs GAMMA is the most storied rivalry in the game's history dating back to May 2009.

Syn was established a little earlier than GAMMA in the era prior to the diminishing returns. I remember when they were running 3-4 events per week and cashing in on the obvious flaw. By the time we launched the diminishing returns penalty was in place, but by then Syn had already accumulated a bucket load of cash and we were fighting an uphill battle from day 1...........man those were the days.

Syn was the household name at that time, (together with Pride in Tokyo) and we was the start up local org running a close knit product. I am pretty sure that then owner Franky Sin had no idea who we were.

The first "soft exchanges" between the orgs started in that tourney. I remember the time when Syn was against the addition of the "renew contract" option. They were basically making a living from the expiring contracts, so when the admin added the renew contract option late in 2009, it basically saved us from losing a lot of our top talent. One of those top talent was a rookie called Jeremy.

The rivalry heated up when GAMMA decided to send their first fighter outside our borders to compete in what was the greatest event this game has ever seen...........the Original Millionaire tourney! There have been many such tourneys over the years, but to be frank, that was easily the best ever run. For all of you which know their history, you should know that in that tourney the greatest fighter in history was born, Jeremy Tonal.

After the win of the tourney, we got an offer to "sell" Jeremy to Syn, which we rejected (dispite being on a very low budget at the time). This infuriated Syn and the rivalry from that point on was pretty much official. GAMMA started off with 5 straight wins (all by Tonal vs mostly Syn champs at 205lbs and 265lbs). Syn since balanced out the score which now stands at 6-4 in favor of GAMMA.

There have been multiple owners of Syn over the years though, funny enough is that the relationship has always been very prickly with whoever was in charge accross the road. The last super fight between the orgs was way back in June 2014, a win for Syn in a fight between Anderson McGinley v Leighton Matias.

Anyway, we have put our differences on the side for 2 major fights:

Gunnar Steigelmann (196145) vs Chick Bowdrie (210333), Fight taking place on the 23rd of September.

and:

Renan St Juste (102580) vs Ricky Rocker (177654), this fight is taking place on the 10th of October.

Gunnar is the current GAMMA 265lbs champ and is going up against Chick Bowdrie, the current Syn 265lbs champ. Where as Renan is facing the Syn 170lbs champion Ricky Rocker in a fight which could determine the #1 p4p fighter.

With 2 wins Syn can level up the rivalry at 6 wins each, so a lot is at stake here.

So to summarize...

Syn is company that cheated and exploited the rules constantly while GAMMA was always 100% straight.

The greatest tournament ever....just happens to be one a GAMMA guy won.

Syn got jealous of GAMMA's greatness when GAMMA admirably refused to sell them a fighter.

And you don't think at all you're being a bit on the biased side? :D

Haha just fucking with you. I don't even know the history. Maybe it's true. Just seemed funny to point out :D.

Good to see top orgs clashing like that though. I hear Tonal's name daily on here.

GAMMA is breaking our own records on a monthly basis, here are some of those we broke in the past week or so.

13 top 100 p4p ranked fighters is a new GAMMA record.
23 in the top 200 p4p is also a new record
72 in the top 1000 p4p is a new record.

Jt Colossus is now the all time KO leader

25 KOs in total. Raz Matazz technically has 24 with 3 outside of GAMMA during super fights, but in fights inside of GAMMA, Jt is now the all time leader with 25. At 44y of age it is suspect if Jt can surpass that all time record, but he is still going strong and ranked inside the top 400 p4p even at his age, so god knows if he will make it.

Hall of Famer returns

GAMMA hall of famer Fidel Duberry (125586) is back for a few cameo fights. He retired from the sport at 29y while under Matt Cave management and was inducted to our HOF. He made a comeback under his new manager Scott Davies after being in retirement for almost 2 years. His first fight was a KO loss to future hall of famer Willy Stoppers and could be retiring for good very soon. It was nice to see him back in the GAMMA cage, even if it was in a cameo role.

Willy Stoppers moving down to 205lbs

Willy was a 310lbs killing machine for most of his career, but in his recent win over Fidel Looked much more trimmed down at 239lbs. After asking him about his plans for the future Willy said he is moving down to 205lbs with the main reasoning being his reach. He was always undersized against the big strikers at 265lbs at just 187, so he wants to take his KO power and height down to were it belongs. At 40y old though it is uncertain if he can be a factor, but after recently winning the AD title, nobody can take it away from him for trying.

Krystian Wojnasiewicz regains his title

It was looking kind of hopeless for Krystian after losing 2 in a row against his nemesis Fernando Prado, however 2 wins later, he was into the title picture again, this time against a new opponent Nylerhotep Constantine, which recently had beaten Prado for the title. The result? Krystian's 3rd KO win in a row. Pawel Ufcowski (Krystian's manager) is saying that he is probably past his best, but i am not sure he agrees to that and is looking very good late in his career. Prado has since moved down to 145lbs which is his natural weight class, so Krystian's first title defense will be against Josiah Bartlet.

Yorick Brown rise at 205lbs

Yorick was known as a 265lbs fighter for most of his career, but has moved down to 205lbs and is 6-1 since going there. He has put himself into the title picture against Gunnar Gustavsson, a fighter which his co-teamate Arthur Curry was recently beaten 2x and retired shortly after, so i am sure he is dieing to get revenge in this fight.

I am proud to announce 3 new inductee's to the GAMMA Hall of Fame!

Karl Denke (63718)

Managed by Jay Stoner (55630) and Captain Spaulding (804), won 17 and lost 13 with 13 title fights during his tenure. He is also the winner of 12 FON awards, with a #3 best fighter of the year award in 2011, in that year he ended up with a top #69 p4p ranking. His best run was under Spaulding when he had several top profile wins over fighters such as Bancroft Rothschild, J Blunts, Raz Matazz, Nero Aurelius, Fred Ettish, Dwayne Hicks. Karl ended up returning to GAMMA to end his career, now under new management and had a good run to lose the fight for the title against Arthur Curry. He retired at 41y of age.

Mark Makers (111282)

Managed mostly by Crippler crippler4hm (1259) (he had 5 fights under 2 other managers), he spent his whole career in GAMMA, with 38 fights + 8 fights in our affiliates. That makes Mark one of our longest standing fighters ever. He had 3 runs with 4 or more win streaks and had 7 FON awards, but for the most part he was not spectacular. His highest rank was p4p 207. He had a few big wins over Jt Colossus, Jorge Cruz, Fedor Jankovic, Trent Pope, Ben Grimm, Beno Gruffo, Tony Mendez. Remarkable is that dispite his relative consistency, he never fought for the title even once, he was usually one win away and never made it. His 24 wins ranks him 6th all time nevertherless.

Arthur Curry (92326)

Managed by Gale Hawthorne, after spending some time on the indy circuit, he joined GAMMA. He went on to become a 2 time 185lbs champ and a 1 time 205lbs champion with 14 total title fights in his GAMMA career. He also had 19 FON awards and is a top 5 p4p ranked fighter at his peak. He had several memorable fights over his career, including fights against HOF fighters such as Ejnar Thorsen, Raz MAtazz, Fred Ettish, Usain Watts, Karl Denke and wins over ex champs such as Jonny Victorio and Kris Hong. He retired from GAMMA in his 40s.

GAMMA's epic rise to greatness continues, we are now ranked #1 in the game in total fighters ranked inside the top 1000 p4p with 79 (an increase of 7 since last month). Here are some of the other major news which took place over the past month.

Fernando Prado move to 145lbs proved successful

Fernardo moved down to his natural weight class after losing the title to Nyler and it proved to be very successful, beating 2 ex-145lbs champs Meat Beater and Timofey Boyko since moving down.

Boyko moving to 155lbs

Timofey has show an interest in moving up to 155lbs to end his career and challenge for one last title. He was very unhappy after what he called the "bullshit split decision" in his fight with Prado. Lets see how the 35y old ends his career in GAMMA.
Hall of Famer returns.

Renan holds firm

Things did not go according to plan for Renan in his super fight with Rocker last month, but he defended his title with a late KO of Jimmy Snuka. He will be defending his title against up and coming star Arthur Pinto, which is 14-0 at the moment.

3rd time lucky for Virgil

Virgil Keller was getting the feeling that a title will never come his way, after losing to Cuenca and Curry in 2 previous outings, losing both in decision fights. 3rd time against Hektor Troy he ended any doubt though with a TKO in the 3rd round. This is his 3rd title in his career after holding onto minor titles in CCF and SFC.

Tony Slevin wins his first title

Tony has become a "cuts specialist" after winning his 3rd fight via cuts against Rau Utu to win his first ever title in GAMMA. He will be up against his nemesis Tamias Poochyena which beat him via head kick KO in their first fight. He will be hoping to ride his current form to retain the title though.

Gunnar "Knoke Støvkost" Gustavsson winning streak

Gunnar is on a 5 fight winning streak at the moment after beating Yorik Brown via split decision last month. This is the 3rd win over a Gale Hawthorne fighter, after previously beating Arthur Curry on 2 occasions. He will be fighting Willy Stoppers for the title this weekend.
