Pretty sure he didn't. I picked up a FA from the same manager as him who had similar drops.

He lost about 2-3 points in each of the things in total I would say.

I am new to this game ,.... but I certainly would love a change to the home page ... and to the layout too ... and also some more stats in the fighter profiles would be awesome ... but I guess home page and the layout is kind of getting used to now ...

I was thinking the game should yet another level of training called "MMA sparring" since real fighters do this in real life. This sparring would lower your tickers in everything and increase your skill levels in everything (but obviously not as much as a skill specific sparring session for those relevant skills).

This probably wouldn't be attractive to newer figthers as the skill "pops" would be slower (although more than one skill might "pop" after such sparring) but perhaps to veteran fighters would like it as a means to maintain skill levels.

So here's my thing. I see that having natural aptitude of all 7 points in BJJ, allows you to have very high BJJ + relevant secondaries without maintenance. However, it does not seem like having that high BJJ natural aptitude relieves you fighter of the opposing skill pressure put on MT and Boxing. Am I right?

I'm kinda thinking it should, as there otherwise is huge pressure on MT + boxing for a ground specialist fighter. Of course it works other way arounds too, for standup fighters.

BTW: I vote for a one more chance on resetting of aptitudes =)

This should be done cause we are just starting to understand the maintenance stuff. Is fair.

I have one fighter doing almost 90% maitenance training and only 10% improvement focused training. Is not an old veteran monster, is only a well rounded young fighter. This new general MMA sparring may save a lot of time in maintenance.

See, I wanna get pops just like in the good old times. Just be training to mantain skills sucks, is really boring and bothering. And i don`t wanna let decrease some skills cause I`ve trained my fighters for a lot of time to get those levels, and once again I`M NOT TALKING ABOUT MONSTERS BUT JUST NICE FIGHTERS.

I'm happy with not getting pops all the time. I signed up to this game to be able to fight, not to endlessly train. This new training setup is the best thing to happen to MMATycoon in a long time.

that kinda goes against the entire point of the changes. the point was, more specialization amongst the populous.

as far as the rest goes...what's your definition of nice fighters? to some, that may mean monsters and to others that may be a sup/wond/wond/purple...both are attainable but you gotta be willing to NOT do it the mindless "old way" and do it the thinking man's "new way".

doug supremem has a novel idea also...why not fight ur guys? it even resets tickers to the point where you'll have 2-3 NONE maintenance sessions.

u wanna see POPS like the good old days? lol. i wanna see FIGHTS like the good REALLY old days haha! back before anyone even knew what a project was, back when u'd make a guy and drop him in a qfc 5 minutes after creation! loool...wait til u get old dude and realize what exactly maintenance is. even michael jordan had to practice free throws and jumpers to stay on top.

How dare you lie to us. Michael Jordan never did a pushup after he started playing, sir.

Someone mentioned my "MMA sparring" idea arguably defeats the purpose of the new changes. An alternative idea to my "MMA sparring" idea would be to have 2 kinds of hybrid sparring of "Stand-up sparring" (affects MT/Boxing and relevant secondaries) and "Grappling sparring" (affects Wrestling/BJJ and relevant secondaries). Again, fighters do this type of training in real life.

Obviously, whatever primary skill increases/maintenance you get from doing skill specific sparring should be maybe 50% of that for hybrid sparring. Benefits to your secondaries would be a little more tricky to figure out.

This would perhaps cater to managers who have fighters that they have molded into "strikers" and "grapplers".

Holiday Mode Question:

So if you set holiday mode, the only thing it does is pause tickers. The tickers dont go up, OR down(even if you train)?

I clicked on Holiday mode to check it out before training this morning, had a fighter who did 1 on 1 CT, and nothing changed as far as his tickers. No clue if they went up or not still has I dont use any scripts and just eye ball everything.

Edit: this must be the case? See another fighter who trained kicks still has a chunk of ticker left for kicks after training it. It wasnt a full bar or anything, since he just trained kicks Wednesday AM.

My interpretation of what Mike posted about the holiday mode was that it simply froze the tickers where they were when you selected to enter holiday mode. I'll find out for sure next week, though, as I'll be activating it tomorrow morning for while I am on holiday this coming week :)

one of my fighter has his tickers paused for 3 sessions , he didn't fly and don't have a fight since 11 days .

He has a fight in 2 days ,here the fighters

http://www.mmatycoon.com/fighterprofilemanager.php?FID=46535

I should be happy but i think it's a bug .

Once i cliked on his maintenance box from the assistant page and it was write "this fighters does not belong to you" .

i'll check tonight if his tickers increase or not .

you get 4 sessions before your fight now -- regardless of traveling or not

i had 3 fights last weekend. 2 of the guys have hardly any ticker pause at all.

offenhard - has 4 pause sessions and he's at 38%energy. this means he'll be around 68% when the pause sessions are up. this is also after he flew back to nyc (from l.a.) so i figured he'd get a few flight pause sessions too. is this right?

oakley - has 2 pause sessions at 68%energy

so what the fuk? do i gotta train these guys at low levels or let the tickers go up until they hit a decent level? that's kinda bullshit cuz i thought fighting was supposed to help this sort of thing? if this is the case, i will be contacting all my org owners and asking to be released (paying most likely) and will not be fighting out of town anymore (as most of my guys do) unless it's for a superfight and my fighter is WELL compensated.

I messaged Mike about this today and I have told him this was going to be a problem before. I asked specifically if he was going to base the pause sessions on energy loss instead of fight time? This is his reply:

"Hi. Yep, I'm going to be reprogramming it depending on the energy lost in the fight pretty soon - hopefully within a week or so."

:coffee:

edit* I had a fighter pause for 4 sessions 6 session before his fight this weekend, so he wasnt paused the two sessions he couldnt train, and that is supposed to be fixed as well.

So far I've been lucky with it getting tickers paused for much longer than it took my guys to recover but I imagine a short war were both gas would be a pain as far as tickers go.

that's gotta be an error. i haven't gotten less than 10 pause sessions i think, and as many as 14.

i had a couple with issues like this and mike told me he was gonna redo it so it goes off energy loss instead of length of fight -- it was odd cause like you mentioned most worked out great or even had couple free training sessions

i pm'd mike cuz it must be an error. i had 1 more guy fight that same weekend and his fight went to a decision and he flew from mont to nyc and he got 11 or 12 pause sessions.

my biggest concern is the flying. most of my guys fight out of town and if these guys don't get flight pauses or only get 2 pause sessions for an early loss, i am not going to do it anymore and it's going to piss off a few org owners, not to mention me. i love flying my guys all over the world for fights...it's fun as hell. it would be a shame if there was no point in doing that anymore due to pause sessions.

right now, oakley has 74% and no pause sessions. it's not as big of a deal becuz he's a youngster but still...waiting for energy to come up is bad enuff, now i gotta watch these tickers roll up too?

offenhard is a much bigger deal cuz he isn't a young buck, plus he lives in nyc and fights in l.a. and even worse yet, is the champ of his org. he is at 54% currently and has 2 pause sessions left. 2! i don't mind doing a training session at 90% but would like to avoid it if at all possible. even then tho, to get to 90%, he'll have 4 sessions of ticker jumps.

i thought we were supposed to fight MORE? i thought that was the whole damn argument? if this isn't an error, i can see people going back to TrainingTycoon.

edit: mike to the rescue.
