Goood morning MMA fans! Jimmy Normal here, bringing you the goods on this weekend’s fantastic double feature brought to you by SMASH!   Some people go to church Sunday morning, some people watch MMA highlights.  You know who you are, so grab your nuts and buckle up!  We’re in for a rough ride...we'll start the show with a recap from The H2O Arena in London, England.

SMASH: Sanchez vs Colucci

The H20 Arena - London

Fans flocked to The H20 Arena in London last night to guzzle expensive beer, cheer acts of extreme violence and hurl obscenities at concession stand employees.  Ticket holders brought their A Game, as the packed house of 19,620 in attendance ripped the roof off the place and shattered the decibel levels for the arena!

265lb CONTEST:  Japa Koniu vs Cedric De Boise

Japa Koniu enters this fight trying to secure his position within the SMASH rankings and insert his name into the title shot conversation. New contract in hand, Cedric De Boise enters this bout riding a 5 fight win streak and ready to make a statement.

Both men came out unafraid and ready to test the others striking prowess.  While Koniu entered the fight with considerably more experience, it was De Boise looking very much the more refined fighter. Cedric De Boise cuts Koniu at the 2 minute mark, knocks him down at 2:30 and flips the switch 12 seconds later. The newcomer, De Boise, puts on a clinic in this one and possibly breaks himself into the top 10.  Koniu will have to recover from this and go back to the drawing board.

WINNER:  Cedric De Boise (KO)

265lb CONTEST:  Frank Granger vs Eron Saunders

Frank Granger and Eron Saunders both enter this fight looking to solidify their names as potential contenders to the Heavyweight Crown.  Sitting at #3 and #7 respectively, this bout has obvious ramifications on the title picture.

These two came to bang and this fight had all the ingredients for fireworks - a high output fight with not a takedown in sight.  Both men let the hands fly from the opening bell, however it was Granger landing with consistency.  Neither fighter ever had the other seriously hurt and this one goes the distance.  Convincing win by Granger.

WINNER:  Frank Granger (UD)

265lb+ CO-MAIN EVENT:  John Smith vs Ross Barkley

When two fighters of this stature enter the cage, brain damage is on the menu.  With a combined 49 finishes to their credit, these monsters definitely prefer to keep it out of the judges hands.

We open the first with Barkley attempting to get this one to the mat and avoid getting into any life altering exchanges with Smith.  He doesn’t have any luck, seeing 3 shots stuffed in the first minute alone and settles for the clinch.  Snuggle up because we’re in for 4 minutes of dirty boxing.  A notable takedown by Barkley midway through the 2nd round has fans on their feet, but Smith works the butterfly guard and escapes to applause from the crowd.  The rest of the fight is generally spent back in the clinch, as both fighters seem content to lean on one another for support and hit each other when the opportunity arises.  The judges play rock, paper, scissors on this one and we end with an uninspired split decision.  The fans still seemed to enjoy themselves.

WINNER:  John Smith (SD)

185lb CHAMPIONSHIP - MAIN EVENT:  C - Yes Man Sanchez vs Michel Colucci

This is the moment everyone has been waiting for!  With the Middleweight Belt on the line, the current Champion, Sanchez, looks to defend against former Champion, Colucci.  Both men have fought a who’s who in the 185lb division, most notably Harry Winston and Ibrahim Camara.  The four fighters have played hot potato with the strap in recent times.

Sanchez enters the cage looking to stand and trade, while Colucci preferred to get this fight to the ground and work his submission game.  Both men saw some success with their approach and switched from clinch fighting to striking distance repeatedly.  Sanchez seems stronger here and comes out on top of the striking exchanges, until Colucci flips the script and throws the Champion to the mat.  Colucci grasps the opportunity to land with some GNP while looking for an Americana, which is defended comfortably.  Colucci uses the sub as a distraction to transition to mount and has Yes Man in some serious trouble to close out the round.

Colucci opens the 2nd with momentum.  He secures another takedown - then another - and has gone limb hunting. He’ll have to settle for more GNP as Sanchez defends the assault.  The Challenger dominates the entire round.  Colucci heads into the 3rd a little frustrated and seems to have slowed a bit until the midway point where he scores another takedown.  The first 3 rounds have ended with Colucci in dominant position.

In the Championship rounds, Sanchez really starts to show his mettle, moving in and out of the clinch with ease and testing his opponents stamina.  Sanchez doing damage on the feet, as he cuts Colucci with an inside elbow and is leading with crisp jabs and loading up on hooks and crosses.  By the time Michel Colucci gets it back to the mat, he is too tired to lock in the submissions or land GNP with precision.  Yes Man Sanchez calmly defends the assault and rides this one out for a unanimous decision win.  Still, this fight shows that it’s dangerous at the top of the SMASH 185lb division.

WINNER:  Yes Man Sanchez (UD)

SMASH: Dionsy vs Archer

Madison Garden Arena - New York

They have it all in New York, Major League sports, theatre, restaurants and nightlife. 19,158 MMA fans said f@ck all that sh!t and packed Madison Garden Arena to watch some of mixed martial arts finest throw down instead.

205lb CONTEST:  Ari Silver vs Franky Page

With a full arsenal of weapons to choose from, this fight had the potential to go anywhere. Silver comes out and rushes into a clinch.  This decision proves hasty as Page presses for the takedown, secures it and tries to smash Silver’s head through the canvas.  Silver manages to avoid much of the onslaught until he hits a reversal, but a busy Page hits his own sweep seconds later and closes the round on top.

Ari Silver comes out in the 2nd and immediately opens up Franky Page, however he instigates another clinch and ends up on his back again.  Franky Page lands the GNP, but the referee decides he’s on Team Silver and stands the fighters back up.  Silver seems to understand that the ground will be bad news for him and stuffs a few takedown attempts from Page, who settles for a clinch instead.  Franky hits another TD from the clinch and ends the round on top again.  The 3rd opens with Page knowing where this fight has to go.  He has his initial takedown stuffed, but persists and ends up in Silver’s guard.  Some back and forth action here until the ref pulls favourites again and stands the fighters back up.  Ari has learned nothing and clinches up, only to be taken down again.  A final standup at the end of the round has me fully convinced that the ref is in the bookies pocket.

WINNER:  Franky Page (UD)

265lb+ CONTEST:  Ricky Rawse vs Thiago Araujo

Is Ricky Rawse drunk?  He looks drunk.  He’s got lipstick on his forehead and a hickey on his neck. Oh snap! Araujo takes this one down to the ground and is looking for submissions!  Ricky wakes up long enough to reverse the position, but quickly ends up sniffing crotch and gets caught in a triangle.  Game over.  Big statement from Thiago Araujo!!!

WINNER:  Thiago Araujo (SUB)

265lb+ CO-MAIN EVENT:  Vincent Lemieux vs Naiki Nekele

Lemieux and Nekele have a little pep in their step and some pop in their punches, as both fighters meet in the center of the cage to commence hitting each other.  Both men are trading blows, when Lemieux throws a hail mary that has Nekele bleeding.  Nekele appears panicked at the sight of his own blood and starts windmilling punches - miss, miss, miss.  BOOM! Lemieux sends one down the pipe and has Nekele stumbling.  Nekele attempts to regain his composure, but Vincent smells blood and proceeds to knock him down not once, but twice more.  Nekele’s legs don’t seem to be working properly anymore, he’s dancing around like an inflatable tube man.  Lemieux loads up and throws a hook from hell and Nekele is off for his CT Scan.  Good night sweet prince.

WINNER:  Vincent Lemieux (KO)

205lb CHAMPIONSHIP - MAIN EVENT:  C - Cerberus Dionsy vs Kermit Archer

Who’s the man?  Cerberus Dionsy.  Who wants to be the man?  Kermit Archer.  Light Heavyweight Belt on the table, these two killers step into the cage.

The fighters open up the belt, both extremely aware of the others capabilities and neither rushes into danger, as though both try to feel one another out.  A couple of quality exchanges are overshadowed by the only real developments in the round; a takedown by Archer and a reversal by Dionsy.

Kermit Archer comes out in the second full of confidence, while the  Champion is comfortable standing, but looks wary of another takedown from Archer.  It shows as Kermit gets his feet moving and is scoring with strikes.  Dionsy blinks first and over commits to a strike that results in a counter takedown by Archer.  Each fighter claims a round as we head into the 3rd.

Dionsy has found the zone, using his talent for striking and now unafraid of the takedown.  The Champion’s timing is on point now, pressuring and countering seamlessly.  Kermit Archer looks to be lulled into a rhythm dictated by Cerberus Dionsy and is taking heat from head to toe now.  POW!  Dionsy unleashes an unexpected uppercut, knocking Archer to the ground.  He jumps in to paste the dazed challenger and finish the job!  Great fight!

WINNER:  Cerberus Dionsy t(KO)

Ibrahim "Dishonest as Fuck" Camara: I'm coming back for my SMASH belt !

I've had 2 absolute WARS already with Yes Man Sanchez. Could not pick a harder opponent for this !

Camara vs Sanchez 3 is gonna be FIREWORKS !

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Camara lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Camara creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Arteta's defenses.

Arteta is rocked!
Camara lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Arteta to his knees! Camara keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ibrahim Camara!
Ibrahim Camara spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Final Thoughts: At UFC 243, Israel Adesayna formally arrived as UFC's next big thing â The Athletic

Goood afternoon MMA fans! Jimmy Normal here, bringing you the goods on this weekend’s fantastic double feature brought to you by SMASH FC!  Grab your nuts and buckle up!  We’re in for a rough ride...

SMASH: Arteta vs Camara

The H20 Arena - London

SMASH FC returned to The H20 Arena in London and were welcomed back by 18,481 screaming fans.  The concession booths featured brand new splash guards which were installed after the last raucous event and security teams were put into place to safeguard the slower servers.

155lb CONTEST:  Kree P Krawlee vs James Smith

A true style match up was lined up to start the main card, as Kree P Krawlee and James Smith squared off for the first time.  The #7 ranked SMASH FC lightweight, Krawlee declined his invitation to a world renowned Jiu Jitsu tournament this weekend to instead square off against #9 ranked striker, James Smith.  A win here would surely nudge either fighter up the rankings in a very competitive division.

Krawlee had earned a SOTN and FOTN award in his past 2 outings and clearly came into this bout looking for some more extra cash.  Despite his grappling credentials, James Smith proved to be incapable of coping with Krawlee’s ground game.  While it was Smith who secured the takedown at the opening bell, Krawlee immediately began to work for the submission with an attempted guillotine.  Smith defends well only to see Krawlee switch for a triangle which is also defended against.  Krawlee explodes his hips out and catches his opponent by surprise and transitions to an arm bar!  Smith has no choice but to tap.  Looks like Krawley likes the bonus cash as he walks away with another SOTN award.  Amazing stuff!

WINNER:  Kree P Krawley (SUB)

135lb CONTEST:  Usko Matonen vs Lewis Burwell Puller

This bantamweight clash was expected to be a showcase in striking and it did not disappoint.  Puller comes out hot, firing a couple of punches at Matonen and instigates a clinch.  Puller is putting in work here as he begins to tenderize Matonen, who is game for the exchange and looks to return the favour.  The fighters separate and the Finn begins to attack his opponents base with leg kicks, until he goes high and blasts Puller with a head kick!  LBP has seen enough and tries to duplicate his success, tying Usko Matonen back up in the clinch.  Puller sees only limited success as Matonen controls well until they break and it becomes apparent that the earlier head kick has done some damage.  Matonen unloads a hook to the head and follows up with a scary uppercut that had Puller sleeping before he hit the mat.

WINNER:  Usko Matonen (KO)

145lb CO-MAIN EVENT:  Dominic Dillbrandt vs Anton Strolman

I haven’t seen this much dirty boxing since my dear Mum’s 65th birthday party!  Aunt Glady’s was drunk and considerably heavier than these 2 lads, which probably had something to do with her finishing power and does not at all reflect on these fighters ability to end a fight in convincing fashion.

Strolman brings a perplexing game plan into this fight as he repeatedly tries to tie Dilbrandt up only to spend the time defending himself for the most part.  Dilbrandt sees the most success at striking range, but ditches this approach in favour of hugs as well.  Hard to tell if fans enjoyed this fight or were just happy to see it end.

WINNER:  Dominic Dilbrandt (UD)

185lb - MAIN EVENT:  Mikel Arteta vs Ibrahim Camara

The main event was another clash of ranked fighters, with former Champion Ibrahim Camara attempting to make his case for another shot at the title.  Mikel Arteta sits comfortably in the middle of the pack of hopeful challengers and a win over Camara would do wonders for his chances of facing Yes Man Sanchez.

The opening stanza sees both men firing on all cylinders.  Camara is the clear aggressor and Arteta is content to sit back, counter with precision and take his chances when they present themselves. When Camara begins to punish the legs with low kicks, Arteta seizes the opportunity for a takedown.  Camara doesn’t plan on fighting this one out on the mats and manages to get back to standing and we’re into a bit of a clinch battle here.  It is here that Camara starts to impose his will and lands repeated strikes on this inside.  The body shots and head strikes take a quick toll on Arteta as he begins to tire.  A vicious elbow from Camara has Arteta feeling touched and Ibrahim, sensing the finish, drops Mikel Arteta with a big uppercut.  The ref jumps in to save Arteta as Camara rains down punches on his fallen opponent and this fight is over as quickly as it began.  Case closed.

WINNER:  Ibrahim Camara t(KO)

SMASH: Knox vs Steelers

Madison Garden Arena - New York

The City that Never Sleeps, New York!  Good thing because there were 5 first round finishes and only 2 decisions on the night...if you blinked, you likely missed something. 18,475 MMA fans filed into Madison Garden Arena for free pizza night and violence and dammit, they got both!

265lb+ CONTEST:  Mark Lesnar vs Leopold Galute

The thing about nightmares is that they happen when you’re asleep - Mark Lesnar puts people to sleep.  Leopold Galute has game wherever the fight may end up, but has more recently been somewhat of a submission aficianado.  These 2 Super Heavyweight fighters both came to party and both came hunting for the finish.

Galute jumps into action pressing for the takedown, unafraid of Lesnar’s NCAA wrestling accolades.  Lesnar halts the attempt only to find himself in the clinch with the determined Galute.  Leopold pulls guard and Lesnar doesn’t seem to mind horribly, postures up and lands a big strike.  Fans edge to the front of their seats as this could spell doom for Galute.  Lesnar signals that something is wrong and tries to protect his arms, but it’s too late - Leopold Galute has one isolated and has thrown his legs up for a triangle.  Once he locks them in, this one is all over as Galute flashes a smile indicating he’s got it.  Lesnar taps, Galute thanks his sponsor for the free swag.

WINNER:  Leopold Galute (SUB)

265lb+ CONTEST:  Jon Nolan vs Jerome Steel

Jon Nolan only has one glaring hole in his game.  Jerome Steel filled it for him.  Nolan managed to deliver one solid body shot to Steel before the dominant Muay Thai practitioner stepped up the action.  A quick working over in the clinch has Nolan pushing his way out only to catch a few brutal punches at distance.  When Steel retreats for a quick breather, the whole crowd is shocked into a frenzy when the Super Heavyweight explodes forward with a flying knee, crumpling Nolan to the canvas.  G’night Dick!  Game over.

WINNER:  Jerome Steel (KO)

135lb CHAMPIONSHIP - CO-MAIN EVENT:  C - Yodsawan Sitsongrit vs Tom Thomas

Both Champion and Challenger are distance fighters for the most part.  Both extremely talented strikers, each man can fully batter an opponent for 5 rounds and beyond.  Polished technique will surely be on display in this Championship bout.

Both men took turns pushing the pace in this one, with Sitsongrit dialing in the accuracy.  This fight looked like a choreographed sequence from a martial arts movie as the fighters proving both elusive in their defense and viper-like in their attacks.  Ultimately this was a back and forth affair, with the Champion landing at a higher percentage and taking all but one round from the challenger.  One has to wonder how long Yodsawan can continue with these 15 - 25 minute wars however.

WINNER:  Yodsawan Sitsongrit (UD)

265lb+ CHAMPIONSHIP - MAIN EVENT:  C - Zeta Knox vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Zeta Knox last entered the cage as challenger and exited as Champion, dethroning Nekele and sending him on a 2 fight skid.  Pittsburgh Steelers also faced Nekele, but the roles were reversed and saw his title go to the challenger in that bout.  Both of these men are animals and have the ability to violently end an opponents night.

The lads get straight to the point and start swinging.  You know this is going to end badly for one of them tonight.  A couple of shots traded and Steelers goes high with a head kick that misses.  Knox gets gun shy at the wrong moment and pays dearly as Steelers counters with a head kick that makes the worst sound.  I mean it was bad.  I puked a little bit and will never look at free pizza night the same ever again.  MMA Math fails yet again and we have a new SHW Champion!

WINNER:  Pittsburgh Steelers (KO)

Goood afternoon MMA fans! Jimmy Normal here, bringing you the goods on this weekend’s fantastic double feature brought to you by SMASH FC!  Grab your nuts and buckle up!  We’re in for a rough ride...

SMASH: Niska vs Bee

The H20 Arena - London

SMASH FC returned to it’s weekly spot at The H20 Arena in London and were welcomed back by 19,275 screaming fans.  The brand new concession booths were looking to be in a bit of disrepair and the arena owners, looking to save some expense, have fired the slower servers and added their duties to the security teams.  Fans were generally more well behaved.

205lb CONTEST:  Sol Kwon vs Soul Taker

Both fighters enter this bout on a bit of a tear.  Kwon is 4-1 in his last 5 fights, with his only loss coming at the hands of current Smash LHW Champion Cerberus Dionsy.  Taker is also 4-1 in his last 5 fights and seems to be picking up momentum since his change in management.

Kwon and Taker have their sights set on a stand up fight in this one, as they bring their gas tanks and proceed with high output striking exchanges.  The game plans are almost identical except for Taker utilizing the clinch  to his advantage and he walks away with a unanimous decision victory over the former title contender.

WINNER:  Soul Taker (UD)

205lb CONTEST:  Simon Gustafsson vs Paul Joseph Watson

The 2nd fight on the main card shares features a similar statistic with Cerberus Dionsy handing Simon Gustafsson his last loss.  Gustafsson appears determined to claw his way back into the title picture with a follow up submission win against Rayful Edmond and now has his sights set on PJW.  Paul Joseph Watson seems to have found a lucky charm in HW Champion Juha Niska.  Appearing on the same card in his last 3 fights, seems to be working in Watson’s favour as he has gone 2-0 when occupying the same building.

In the lead up to this fight, Gustafsson frequently spoke of his wrestling partners and their preparation for Watson, but he might be on the lookout for new sparring partners as he gets taken down right off the bat.  Watson meanwhile has been all Namaste in Brazil, practicing breathing techniques and Yoga stretches.  This seems to have paid off as he rebuffs the sub attempts by Gustafsson and secures a Kimura at 1:59 of the 1st round.  Looks like PJW will be back on the beach in no time to bask in his victory and the warm sunshine.

WINNER:  Paul Joseph Watson (SUB)

265lb+ CO-MAIN EVENT:  Ted Bundy vs Desi Kraag

Neither of these men rely on their BJJ credentials to win fights with a combined 24 KO’s in their 36 wins.  Bundy has watched the tapes and witnessed Kraag decimate his last 3 opponents with a single punch and this clearly played into his gameplan.

After dodging Desi’s first offensive, Bundy lands a takedown and looks to control his opponent on the mat.  Did I mention Kraag is a Black Belt?  If not, Desi Kraag is a Black Belt.  Bundy’s plan goes south in a hurry as Kraag, constantly moving, manages to find the opening and tighten up a guillotine for the win!

WINNER:  Desi Kraag (SUB)

265lb CHAMPIONSHIP - MAIN EVENT:  Juha Niska vs Inspektor Bee

The main event was set to be a barn burner, again, with 2 fighters unwilling to settle for a grappling match and 27 t(KO) victories between them both.  I now wonder who is the lucky charm on these cards, Juha Niska or Paul Joseph Watson?

Round 1 gets underway and both men get to work testing one another and looking for the advantage.  Niska lands a 1-2 near the end of the round and puts the challenger on the ground.  Bee gets waved to his feet and appears unsteady with a fresh cut opened up.

Niska drags Bee into deep waters and employs the clinch to batter his opponent.  The plan is working well in the 2nd as the Champion dominates the round.  The 3rd is a close contest fought in the clinch as well, but the scorecards show Bee stealing it from the champ.  The 4th round showcases more quality dirty boxing, but the tides could be turning here as Inspektor Bee finds a rhythm and lands a damaging elbow, cutting Niska in the process.

Going into the final round, each fighter has taken 2 a piece and Smash owner Kishion Mathew is suddenly fielding calls from fight sponsor hopeful Tampax...there is a lot of blood in the cage.  Both fighters are proving their resolve to keep this one out of the judges hands and are going for it! Niska and Bee trading shots at range and in the clinch, but after this war, neither has enough left to finish the other.  They hug it out at the final bell, but during the post fight interview Niska acts as though he wasn’t very close to losing his belt.  Great fight and the reigning Champ does just enough to retain his title.

WINNER:  Juha Niska (UD)

FOTN:  Niska vs Bee

KOTN:  Vladimir Tarlac

SOTN:  Desi Kraag

SMASH: Edmond vs Weudke

Madison Garden Arena - New York

We’re back in New York at Madison Garden Arena for a fun filled night of fights!  19,574 MMA fans packed the house, lusting for violence and avoiding the pizza.  3 of 4 main card fights shut out the lights, so this one was a banger!

265lb CONTEST:  Murska Puro vs Keith Bishop

You get the feeling that both of these guys are running on borrowed time.  Puro can’t seem to get back to back wins and Bishop has strung together a 4 fight losing streak, albeit to a who’ who of the Smash HW division.  These guys could be literally fighting for their careers tonight.

The good news is that both fighters seem to understand this and come in looking for the kill.  Unfortunately only one can be left standing under these circumstances and tonight it was Keith Bishop’s time to shine. Bishop smashes Puro with a massive left hook in the 2nd and continues to pound his skull until the ref separates the two.

WINNER:  Keith Bishop t(KO)

135lb CONTEST:  Kris Jakua vs Roger Andermatt

While Jakua and Andermatt start this fight with bad intentions, they also seem content to let one another stay in it for the opening round.  A back and forth series of exchanges see’s these two trading blows, but nothing of real substance comes of the first round.  In the 2nd round, Andermatt steps his game up both connecting with strikes and making Jakua miss a fair bit...he also seems to be throwing with more vigor, however Jakua keeps himself in this fight and although Roger seems to be winning, it is still close.

Cue round 3.  Andermatt is uncontent with leaving this one to the judges and throws a little more gusto into his punches.  When Jakua walks into a stiff jab he looks dazed and Andermatt moves in for the kill.  A head kick opens the door for the finish as Roger Andermatt follows up with a horrendous right hand, dropping the confused Jakua.  A flurry of punches leaves the ref no choice and he steps in to save Jakua’s pride and health.

WINNER:  Roger Andermatt t(KO)

265lb - CO-MAIN EVENT:  Philo Beddo Ii vs Mawi Da Oxlade

Philo Beddo Ii has the ability to fight for 15 minutes.  Mawi Da Oxlade is a question mark because all of his fights - win or lose - have never gone to the judges.  Each fighter prefers to live or die by the sword.  Last night was no different.

Beddo Ii splits Mawi open within the first minute of this fight with a laser directed counter punch and we move to the clinch.  Beddo Ii seems to be dominant while tying up Da Oxlade, landing knees and punches - and then the tide turns.  Mawi Da Oxlade connects with an uppercut and cuts Philo before breaking the clinch.  Philo drops his hands and Mawi throws a precision high kick and Ii is OUT.  No need for a follow up because Philo is unconscious!

WINNER:  Mawi Da Oxlade (KO)

205lb - MAIN EVENT:  Rayful Edmond vs Roland Weudke

Both men have had a sniff at the belt against Cerberus Dionsy.  Both have lost.  These 2 journeymen have seen their highs and lows, but inconsistent showings mark their careers. Still they are both popular fighters amongst the hardcore fans since they are as tough as nails.

An early right hand from Edmond cuts Weudke and looks like it could cause him problems.  Rayful Edmond works the gaping wound looking for a doctor stoppage and making a bloody mess of Weudke’s face.  The fans are loving this - good thing Weudke is already ugly as sin.  Edmond pounds away at his opponent, but Weudke keeps coming forward.  With the cut causing vision problems for Roland, he takes aim at the biggest target and is landing successfully to the body of Edmond while slowing him down with leg kicks.  These shots are taking their toll on Rayful and he begins to tire and miss with his own offensive.  When Rayful Edmond fails to put Weudke away, it gets turned over to the judges who calculate the points.  Roland Weudke walks away from this battle the winner.

WINNER:  Roland Weudke (UD)

Goood afternoon MMA fans! Jimmy Normal here, bringing you the goods on this weekend’s FAREWELL double feature, brought to you by SMASH FC!  Grab your nuts and buckle up!  We’re in for a rough ride...

SMASH: Rossi vs Peterson

The H20 Arena - London

SMASH FC returned to it’s weekly spot at The H20 Arena in London for it’s final show under the current banner.  19,233 fans arrived to thank the promotion and be part of their history by witnessing the last SMASH promoted event at H2O.  There were rumours that H2O officials were upset about who would pay for the upgrades made to the arena to accommodate the intense SMASH fanbase, but SMASH FC owner, Kishion Mathew, assured them that it would be in their best interest to STFU.

170lb CO-MAIN EVENT:  Blue Cup vs CJ Tripp

I could go into a whole background story on these 2 fighters, but I’m hungover and quite frankly, the intro would take longer than this fight did.

Blue Cup came into this one to test Tripp’s ability to handle pressure.  It doesn’t go well for Cup.  He gets countered into oblivion and does his best domino impression, falling face first into the canvas for a nap.  CJ Tripp with the walk off KO.  Nasty!

WINNER:  CJ Tripp (KO)

170lb CONTEST - MAIN EVENT:  Mario Rossi vs Dylan Peterson

Mario Rossi loves to fight and paint pictures of Jorge Masvidal.  Dylan Peterson loves to fight and take pictures with belts he hasn’t won.  Let’s see who means business in this one.

This one turned out to be a technical matchup.  Both fighters were in for the long haul here with Rossi dominating the standup and Peterson looking for the ground work.  It was Peterson’s inability to ensure the takedown (2 for 24 attempts) and Rossi’s ability to escape to his feet that decided where this fight would happen.  After that Rossi’s precision took the reins as he walked away with the unanimous decision win.

WINNER:  Mario Rossi (UD)

SMASH: End of an Era

Madison Garden Arena - New York

We’re back in New York at Madison Garden Arena for the final showcase for SMASH FC!  19,268 MMA fans packed into the Garden to secure their seat in this historic night of fights.  Arena officials having heard the rumours in London, let the fans BYOB.

145lb CO-MAIN EVENT:  Harry McQuirre vs Domonic Dilbrandt

Dilbrandt and McQuirre both looking to paste their names onto each others forehead and secure their place in the rankings as we transition to the Alpha-1 banner.  Scheduled for 5 rounds, this fight looks to possibly have title shot implications.

Domonic bleeds more than a Diaz brother and tonight was no different as McQuirre cuts him in the 1st round.  Dilbrandt responds with a move to the clinch - can’t cut me if we’re hugging.  Domonic’s aggression at this range really has McQuirre on the defensive and he isn’t able to really mount his own assault.  Domonic undoes his hard work here though and breaks the clinch late in the 4th.  McQuirre responds by unleashing a hellstorm of strikes and continues to go full spaz on him when he drops.  Ref has to call this one.

WINNER:  Harry McQuirre t(KO)

170lb MAIN EVENT:  Donald Trump vs Shwartz Gomez

Another match up with ranking and possible title shot implications.  Fresh off of a failed attempt at the strap, Gomez faces Trump who sits near the top of the rankings.

With all of the submission wins on Trump’s resume, it seems curious that Gomez wouldn’t do more to fend off the takedown and keep this fight standing.  The mat is where we quickly end up and although Gomez makes a valiant effort at nullifying Trump, he is just no match for him on the ground.  Trump locks in a triangle early in the 2nd round and this one is all over!

WINNER:  Donald Trump (SUB)

FOTN:  McQuirre vs Dilbrandt

KOTN:  No Way

SOTN:  Donald Trump

SMASH got SMASHED and TRASHED to become Alpha-1.  Biro is pretty quick to end these orgs after he starts them.  Good luck with Alpha-1.

Lol I mean he did run nearly 100 events, I feel like thats your average run. Plus I made a huge offer to purchase when I returned. Most couldn't refuse that type of number.

Quit crying.

I made a deal that would keep the organization together and wouldn't make 150+ fighters jobless. Nobody was negatively affected by me selling the org.

TRASHED is what you did to 3 totally healthy 350k orgs in order to keep the top hyped fighters and fire the "casuals". All because you couldn't be bothered to hire like everyone else.

SMASH was bought and not 1 fighter/manager saw their Tycoon experience affected, totally seamless.

Trust me trying to trash talk your BETTERS will only backfire.

How about you go fix your divisions?  Your champs are fighting 5 lbs. below weight lol  the speed hack is real.

138 events under the SMASH flag to 132 HFC.

Softman is having a hard time even counting lol just ignore the troll he is mad because every fighter at WCF told him to fuck off when he came trying to do super fights.  We are busy, unlike HFC with shallow divisions and 2-3 contenders max per division.  It gets boring fighting the same dudes every month.

Hardman also signed his own 350k fighters (that he barely fought and picked up himself from free agency) to super long term contracts at HFC before sacking them into the free agency, a douchebag move just ask any org owner lol

I mean 138 is not accurate. 39 of those events have not happened yet. Ive booked events all the way till next year January.

We've held 99 events

HFC has held 127

That being said let's just let this all go, I addressed his comment and its past us now. Don't want any drama surrounding the org.

Eh, I think you guys misunderstood.  I was making a play on the name, and then offering up good luck.  As for Biro, I guess that was a shot but not really intended to be a big deal.  I just know he's started and ended 3 orgs in the last year.   The SMASH got TRASHED only meant the name got changed.  And I only picked that up from another manager that is forum banned atm.  But yeah, I didn't mean this negatively, wasn't throwing stones.

Sorry for offending.  lol

Yeah, signed 1 guy to a 6 fight contract.  That's a HUGE dbag move, especially when I have always allowed them to walk if they want to.  Fuck off Camara.

"Blunt Force Trauma" Long Hung Dong

24-14-1

126 p4p

Continuing my new search for world domination succesfully.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
Judge Steve Erwin scores the fight 30:27
Judge Damien Edna scores the fight 30:28
Judge Ron Honeybunn scores the fight 28:30

In favor of your winner, by split decision... Long Hung Dong!

Long Hung Dong was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Butch "Does not get" Frewin

"Howdy partners. To continue on from the above, I would like to announce that not only do I manage Long Hung Dong and want to make SMASH great again, but I believe in the project so much I'm also fighting in the org too. There's nothin' Butch can't do.

My last fight saw a ruffian who was shorter and heavier than me try and clinch up. I blasted him with my six-shooter cannons and he folded like the laundry that Nancy the tavern wench hangs out to dry every day.

All you fine ladies and gentlemen should mosey on down to SMASH: Perkele vs Castella on the 13th of August to see me put Dan Donovan out to pasture."
