  1. I think this thread is a perfect example of everything that has gone wrong with the game and the community in recent years. You have someone pointing out an obvious issue/inconsistency within the game that has been brought up numerous times and never once addressed. There is an overwhelming consensus within the thread the no one truly understands what the current criteria is that should be met to get an avatar approved. You have at least two long standing graphics artists who in my opinion (feel free to disagree) have made substantial contributions to the game and community with their work that are saying they cant be bothered to continue those contributions due to the lack of consistency above. Noting has ever been said that gives any indication that any of this will ever be addressed or a proper set of standards will be revamped and adhered to moving forward. Not saying this specific concern in relation to avatars is anywhere close to the biggest issue in the game but I think the points made above can be applied to 99% of all concerns that the community has brought forward regarding any issues they see within the game.
  2. I am with @The1rstSaint. Lost all interest in doing avatars because there is no rhyme o reason as to why one gets accepted and one doesn't. Appears to be just personal preference of the person judging them. Explain to me the following examples: Rejected for being too realistic and not avatary enough: Approved despite meeting any of the criteria listed for approval including using any elements of the in-game avatars: This one was approved and is a blatant copy of Danny Danger:
  3. I have done this a number of times and also offered up product designs and logos for free to help newer managers. I consider those more of a gift and a way I can help build the community and return the favor for all of the old guard that did the same for me when I was starting out and trying to keep up with those that had millions of dollars and years of experience as an advantage over me.
  4. As someone who has experimented with the whole franchising scenario I can say that yes it can happen organically but it is a nightmare to try and manage and involves an insane amount of trust with the person you enter business with. As is today you end up having to chase franchisees to determine what payment is owed and actually getting them to pay. It be a great feature added to the business side of the game if you could setup an agreement that company XYZ owns 20% of the business in exchange for $X and then the game transfer 20% of any sales/income automatically similar to being on staff. In terms of trust you are also leaving yourself very open to your brand falling into the wrong hands. For example I enter an agreement with manager XYZ to open a franchise clothing shop using my business name and my product designs in exchange for X% of all sales. That franchisee then goes and sells that franchise shop next week and the new person chooses not to honor your handshake agreement and continues on selling your product using your name with no recourse available. I just found without a feature set in-game to manage payment automatically and no in-game re-course available like a partnership or a block on franchisees selling a franchise without the approval or all partners made it not worth the effort.
  5. Great stuff and exciting to see the game being developed again. Cant wait for application process to begin and see who will fill these roles.
  6. SMESH could be interested as well depending on the details (creation date vs tourney start date if going with 18yo for example).
  7. Happy to see some planned upgrades and a revamp. I think speeding up the time it takes to develop a fighter from 18yo prospect to Elite across the board should be at the top of the priority list and would go along way in helping to keep players engaged and retaining new players for longer than a month or so. Would also help in leveling out the playing field between a new manager and managers that have been around for years and have a full orster of fully developed fighters.
  8. Not much activity here but might be due to the lack of active managers in the game. If you look at the org Zombie has consistently running two cards per week since last July when The Island season ended and he brought Highland back to the mainland. I know in message with him he has even back talking about testing a move to the bigger arenas with the next series of events he is booking.
  9. Going to say that this thread would be a joke without including SYN and Combate
  10. Your right mate.... For some reason I thought one of dem QFC contests was in MILF. Declan's CTE makes him forget des little details sometimes ya?
  11. Another option if you are interested in learning the org business might be to ask around and see if any of the established orgs needs some help with recruiting or booking fights and might be willing to give you a job helping them out while you learn the ropes from them. Running an org has one of the biggest learning curves in the game and I am forever grateful to have been able to get advice from some of the veteran org owners like Alfred and CK, etc to identify where I was potentially making some mistakes and where there was some room for improvement.
  12. See mate.... dat's all Declan ever asked for! Just tell da fookin truth dat Declan is da shit dat da fans come to see on The Island! Truce it is.... and don't worry about Harry Potter ya? Declan got a few tricks of his own! Dominquez wants no part of da clinch and is gonna go runnin for fifteen minutes ya? Pick your shots and put dat fookin slow Sasquatch away for da fans.
  13. I am 100% with Alfie here...... 380k guys are on the verge of being Open ID ready if they have been developed properly but in my opinion there is a massive need for a place the guys falling into the 385-390 range to fight. With CFC buying up all the 380-390 orgs and now moving on, the guys that between 385-390 are left with really two options.... go to Open ID before they are ready and potentially get their ass handed to them..... or take a break from fighting and cook until their skillset is ready to be competitive for Open ID. Neither is great for a game that already feels like it is clinging to its last life and being held above water by a group of maybe 20 regular active managers. There is a huge amount of hype available on the open market in that space if someone was willing to run a 380 or 385 org. If you are newer I am sure some of us with org experience would be willing to answer any questions and offering a 1 day inactivity with no signing bonus contract structure encourages people to give you a chance to prove the org is going to last without any risk of getting their fighter trapped there....... you dont like the org then your fight can simply leave at anytime.
  14. **Laughs hysterically** The difference mate is dat I hurt him..... badly.... and then I finished da fookin bloke didn't I? See thats how this works mate. Did yo manager not explain dat to you? Let Declan explain slowly for yo stupid ass..... You grab hold of yo opponent and yo keep punchin em in da face until they stop movin.... or da bleedin referee jumps in and saves them from a brain injury. Dats how you score points here... ya mate? Yo understand now or you need Declan to draw you a fookin diagram with little stick people and small words you can understand? Your a fookin meathead and everytime you open yo fookin mout all ya do is use up the oxygen in da room mate. Its fookin embarassing.
  15. You love stoppages and brutal KOs more though. Dats why dere is a bonus point system dat rewards des tings..... Its da nature of dis game..... Stoppages and brutal KOs bring more MILFS and de world goes round! Its like da fight game Circle of Life! Dont worry boss.... De Irish got you.... #1 and #2 P4P on The Island.... All stoppages.... All KOs!
  16. What da fook are you even goin on bout mate? Fighter clothes? Fake abs? Rich Manager? Traffic people? All dem steroids are cutting off the blood flow to your brain mate? Or is it all dat blood you lost from 10 shots in a tree round fight? Imagine dat..... 10 shots in 15 minutes.... 2 days injury and 7 days cuts! **Laughs hysterically** What da fook mate.... is your face made of paper? Imagine coming out here and talkin all this shite bout 100 missed head shots and "Cat got your tongue" like you are some superstar that went out and shut people up? Nobody gives a fook..... Nobody even knows who da fook you are mate! You arent even in the top twenty pound for pound! You are buried half way down the bleedin card! Your so boring the bleedin owner of the organization didn't even preview your fight because he didn't even notice you were fighting! Nobody gives a fook who you are mate! You wanna talk all this shite about your opponent missing 100 head shots like dats what da fans want to see. You hit dat man 114 times and never had him in an ounce of trouble once..... Imagine dat! 114 you hit him and not even a scratch! Were you playing patty cake with dat man or just trying to give him a little tickle? He hit you 10 times and you bled more than a virgin the first time she has a go ya? You wanna split the smack talk award because all you do is talk! When Declan talks I backs it up! 100% finish rate..... all by KO! three of four in the first round! 100 fight rating! Fight of the Night in me MILF debut! Main Event headliner! When Declan McCoy gets in that cage you can rest assured the fans are gonna get a show ya? Split the smack talk award??? **Laughs hysterically** The only thing you be splittin is boring lame ass decision mate! Go take another steroid and shut da fook up!
  17. Da fook you talkin bout mate? Four of da top five pound for pound currently are 185 pound and under. You have da smallest fighter pool in de entire organization mate! Nobody gives a bollocks bout watching you elephants try to mate for 15 minutes! Imagine comin out here and talkin bout real main events.... You got two fights to your name and both of them you hugged and sat on another man for 15 minutes! Its like your fights are in slow motion. You can see your shot move comin from a mile away mate! Its like your playin fookin pattycake wid each other in there...... like your stuck in quicksand! Real main event? 11 out of 10??? Shoot da fook up! Your hairline is receeding faster your bollocks.... Your fookin bald mate! Just sit down and shoot da fuck up big boy...... the buffet will open shortly!!!
  18. Me name is Declan McCoy and you should remember that name ya! If it seems familiar its because me big brotha Gillechriosd took De Island Season 13 by storm and has gone on to be a 6 time MMAT champion! I've been on a journey, a journey that has taken me from the streets of Crumlin to the Island Season 15. It's been a rough go ya, but here I am, following in me brotha's footsteps, ready to bring the spirit and the confidence of da fighting Irish and the mindset that makes us the best in the business. It's not just about the physicality of the fight; it's about da mentality, the mindset of a champion ya. When I step into that octagon, I don't just see an opponent; I see an opportunity to prove that I am the absolute best at what I do. I don't just talk the talk; I walk the walk, and I do it in style. People ask me, "Conor, how do you stay so confident?" Well, it's simple. I believe in me. I believe in my skills, my training, and the team around me. Confidence is not just a state of mind; it's a lifestyle. And let me tell you, my lifestyle is second to none. But it's not just about the victories; it's about the defeats as well. You can't truly appreciate the sweet taste of success without experiencing the bitterness of failure. I've had setbacks, but each time I've come back stronger, hungrier, and more determined. That's what separates the champions from the rest. Now, I know some people love to hate on the Irish. They say we too brash, too outspoken. But guess what? We didn't get here by being shy and reserved. I got here by being bold, by taking risks, by being unapologetic. And for those who doubt me, I say this: keep doubting, keep hating, because I thrive on it. The more you doubt me, the more I prove you wrong. I just don't give a fook! Madness Island Fight League..... 2024...... the Irish are coming!!!!!
  19. Gillechriosd McCoy has a Slam finish but suplexing Malig Hunt in the 2022 Island tournament
  20. I believe that Zombie has sent out renegotiaton offers to all the older builds for 265+
  21. Yes... I am actually working with Zombie to help phase out any non 25yo builds that are still on the roster. All divisions would be restricted to 25yo builds regardless. The issue with Open ID weight classes is that there aren't enough early IDs at each weight to provide a variety of opponents without unfair matchups that have too much of an ID spread. The second issue is how you handle titles for each of those weight classes while still offering only fights against similar ID range? Either Open ID fighters would need to be ineligible for a title shot or the 390k guys would have to be willing to fight Open ID guys for a shot a the belt.
  22. As we start a New Year I wanted to address an issue we have been running into and outline a proposed solution. We have close to 20 fighters who are 25yo builds but have an ID earlier than 390. We have been trying our best to match them against each other but as they are spread across all weight classes it makes it difficult to provide a variety of opponents. The proposal that makes the most sense would be to ask that fighters created earlier than 390k move to the Open weight division where we can match them against each other and provide a much wide variety of opponent. All other divisons would then be restricted to 390k+. I look forward to your feedback.
  23. Agree with Alfred here.... The fact that Grappling orgs can hold events daily is not a glitch and was clearly by design when the game engine was built. Bitching about how its unfair now just seems like sour grapes that others thought of the idea of using that to make piles of cash and the rest of us missed the boat. Really anyone could do the same if you wanted to put in the work to start a grappling org and recruit fighters. As for betting there are plenty of other glitches..... I don't doubt that you are right but unless someone can prove that they exist and are being exploited then what's the point of losing sleep over it? We can barely get the simplest issues looked at so the odds of Mike are anyone else going hunting to find an exploit that may or may not exist and then figuring out how to patch it are about as likely as winning the Powerball.
