Press release issues by Corey "Thunder" Smith following the announcement of his upcoming rematch with Shane Wellman Jr. being for a spot in the Immortals Hall of Fame.

Corey "Thunder" Smith: Upon hearing what is at stake for this fight, I found myself rather taken back. It is a great honor to fight for. I Also want to issue a sort of apology to Mr. Steel and the Immortals - New York fight organization. In looking back at what I said, I realize that it may have come off as complaining or even dissatisfaction with the organization. That is not the case. I was confused at the choice of opponents, to be sure, but I meant no disrespect to either Immortals - New York, Mr. Peel Steel, or Shane Wellman Jr.

Joey Riggs:

Haha! hypocritical coming from an 'ex steroid user'.. Real men don't take roids! As for your ridiculous accusation of me 'ducking' the chance to fight you; I dont think so. I think its more like you are trying to duck the fight with that indian guy because you know he is gonna beat your ass, chuck you into an oven and serve you as a Chicken Biryani... which I believe would go down nicely with a glass of scotch.

Our day will come after you get ko'd by the indian guy, I will be ringside to watch you sleeping on the floor again. We will fight after that and I will be sure to expand the 'fantastic' form you have been on recently.

Huxley looking to re-establish dominance over LW division.

Huxley will fight Felix Sandoval at INY 57 next saturday, A win would not only ease the pain from losing the titlefight vs Wauler, it would also re-esatblish Huxley as a dominant force in the Immortal LW div.

Boss Ramirez took a few minutes to answer questions from the gathered media.

(Reporter) - Sandovals manager claimed Huxley will be destroyed when the faceoff at INY 57. Comments?

(Jeffrey Ramirez) - Thats just ridiculous, Huxley is one of the most vicious lightweights signed to Immortals, just the thought of Sandoval manhandling Huxley is laughable, sure Felix has a strong groundgame, but that doesnt scare us, every fight starts standing, and Huxleys TDD is second to none. Take a look at Felix´s standup game, he has weak boxing, his defences are weak and he has a predictible gameplan.

® - Sandoval will shoot for the takedown straight away?

(J R) - Ofcourse, he knows he cant stand and trade with Huxley, if he gets caught he will drop like a brickwall.

® - Hows Huxleys preparations going?

(J R) - Aldous done great, he is in good shape, we have worked well at the gyms, we just moved back to the Wolfschanze gym in downtown NY to make the final preparations. He will come pumped, looking for blood.

® - How will the fight end?

(J R) - Huxley will KO Sandoval, no doubt about it.

® - There been reports circulating the internet and various mmashows about a possible rematch between Huxley and Corey Smith, comments?

(J R) - Yes, I been reading plenty about it. The Falcone camp seems to campaign a lot for this fight to happen, again. Its an honor being called out by a, from what I understand, future hall of famer and great athlete like Smith. but We will have to wait and see what happens after the fight with Sandoval.

® - You are not afraid that Falcone camp has spotted a weakness in Huxley's game?

(J R) - I know Falcone belives Smith was close to defeat Huxley but I guarantee you it takes more than a few good punches to take out Aldous, Wauler had to knock him down four times before his ironjaw failed him and I doubt Smith will be in the fight long enough to get the chance to do that. We beat him once and, like I said, it would be an honor to do it again.

® - Immortals have signed a few new guys to the LW div!! Opinions?

(J R) - Yes, so I´ve noticed, good job, we want to fight the best there is and Immortals gives us that oppertunity. Huxley trains and sparrs with Jimmy Young every day, great talent, real dangerous guy, Vieri seems like a badass, would be a great fight to put him and Huxley in the cage, Diaz looks solid aswell, Swag Fo Dayz is a great talent, unforunatly he signed to a crappy camp, Coach Paul isnt someone you want to draw up your fightplan, still, tough dude. a W vs Wellman is something to boast with aswell, the LW div looks stacked to me.

® - Goodluck on INY 57

(J R) - Thank you.

http://www.mmatycoon.com/gallery/31/31w3.jpgShane Wellman Junior Interview with mmajunkie.com reporter and Immortals Show host Bob Jones. 1/17

Junior sits down in a room with just the camera man and Bob Jones, his father is not present.

Bob Jones: Shane its great to see you again so soon, hows training been?

Junior: Been pretty good Mr. Jones, working on new things for against Corey Smith. Not much has changed though and he still is the same fighter with heavy hands and I gotta do something about that.

Jones: I'm sure your aware of Mr. Peel Steel proclaiming this fight was for a Hall of Fame spot, does that raise the bar pressure wise?

Junior: Of course it does. I don't mind pressure though, every fight makes every fighter nervous no matter what they say. It's those fighters that use other fighters anxiousness against them that make them good. I'm going to play my game out there, and not try to avoid Corey Smith's game and obviously not play into it. The whole Hall of Fame thing is an honor but I won't be thinking about it during the fight, during the fight I just think about my strategy and how I can beat my opponent and if he changes styles I gotta think and act at the same time and I feel I can do that pretty well.

Jones: Last time you lost to Smith... Without giving to much away of your game plan what do you plan to do differently to win this rematch?

Junior: Not much really. Last fight I played my game and he played his and his game won. They say the toughest thing to do is to beat a team or a fighter twice just because the fighter will think about his last win and sometimes try to do the same thing again and get too eager. Not saying Corey will have the same game plan as last time because I'm sure he's gunna change some things but I'm confident in my ability to do what my coaches tell me will work against him and to use my mind to adapt to situations in fight.

Jones: Also Smith has beaten a couple fighters you have lost too, and you have beaten fighters he has lost too... Do you think he worries about that and do you?

Junior: To be honest I think its irrelevant due to every fighter having different styles.

Jones: Last question Shane- win or loss whats this as a statement to your career?

Junior: I try not to talk about post fight until its actually there but it just shows I'll fight anyone anytime, I'd fight him in an hour if Mr. Steel asked haha. But Hall of Fame or no Hall of Fame I will keep fighting and blasting guys, Smith I hope your ready for a different outcome and an ass kicking Winks and Leaves. The camera fades out

Shivakamini Somakandarkrum: Zayed! Why do you only cry? I would understand if you were king of one of the richest nations in the world, but you're not. I actually used the interwebs to find the ACTUAL place you're king of:

http://cdn.greenprophet.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/05/500_hiria.jpg

No, I'm not talking about that city in the background. I'm talking about that pile of dirt, or should I say, pile of shit? Zayed, in my interwebs searching, I found what you are actually king of: Shit Mountain. I'm going to make you feel deja vu of being home when we fight, Zayed. I'm going to hammerfist you so hard, you'll be unrecognizable after the fight. The ref will have to take me off of you because I'm going to beat you until you look like a big pile of shit. So go ahead, keep crying about not fighting Riggs. He's glad I'm facing you first because I'm going to make it that much easier for him.

Immortals Notification:

Good luck to all tonights fighters, its a huge night at 155, and 170, as Kharmalov and Monroe fight for a title shot, and two of the orgs most exciting strikers Davies and Taylor clash.

Can Vladdy avenge his loss, and continue Meltons quest for Immortals domination.

For those awaiting fights, Sunday is the day, I have been holding off so the roster is wide open.

There are two slots still not filled on the Feb 2nd card , with at 205 Banner vs Oliva (not logged in) and 170 Durak (not logged in) vs Kokina possibly needing replacement opponents or new fights scheduled completely.

The remaining cards are open.

Anyone wanting to call out an opponent should do it before Sunday.

Attention good people of Immortals:

My name is Jorge Aquino and I've been granted permission by 4 Kings to do a world tour of all the 150k orgs. I have mad respect for your org and I'm not afraid to say it is one of my favorites -- but I am a miserable man, I destroy even the things I love. I have no qualms with dumping this org on its skull. Who wants to get fucked up in a superfight, gentlemen? Peel Steel, I know you're listening, what say you? Can we do this?

Immortals Feature : The Archives 2012 - 'The False Prophet.'

In a move that set Immortals fans' tongues wagging, Jorge Aquino, at the time an undefeated 4K World Champ marched into the Immortals community claiming he would and could demolish our best.

Aquino's world, and his planned world tour was in tatters only weeks later when he was crushed by the Immortals 155lb number one contender Erkki Vieri who tore his 170lb 4K belt from his waist.

His reputation in tatters, his confidence crashed to zero, and with it dreams of the pound for pound stardom his camp had predicted.

With Immortals having signed the recent 170 and 205lb champions to its roster, it is unlikely we will ever come 'the false prophet' again.

- More blasts from our past in coming weeks including:

Kirk 'War' Hall's rise and fall.

Don King Jnr's demise

[WAULER] Erkki Vieri? Yeah I seen him up on da TV a few times, see his T Shirts all over....Heard he's from France or somewhere over there, got all sorts of fancy moves and such....only thing dey teach me on the ground is how to get up.

We'll see next month, I reckon...I'm gonna be swinging fists, doin my thing...can't be bothered worryin' bout all that fancy stuff he does. We gonna find out if he can take a punch.

Joe "Diablo" Saunders

Butcher drops Saunders with a beautiful combination! Saunders is rocked!

[4 minutes later...]

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Saunders! Butcher is out on his feet! Brutal finish.

Don't ever count Saunders out! After a disappointing loss to Huxley, Saunders pounds his way back to the top of the division with back to back knock out of the night performances. Next up for Saunders is Jimmy "All Night" Young. What a great match up, I look forward to it very much! At first glance I see a whole lot of 3 round decisions in Youngs record compared to a bunch of first round stoppages for Saunders. That should make for an interesting stylistic match up. Saunders likes to put his opponents to sleep early so will have to try and avoid those later rounds where Young will have the advantage.
