I think everyone but you knows who Tank Abbott is. There is nothing about that fight to be ashamed of. real fights dont have the pretty package you see on tv. If MMA was real fighting like it was when it was NHB you wouldnt even be watching. So dont talk about what you have no clue about. Even at 47 and in freezing weather. He still uncorked a big right hand that dropped Ferrozzo who has never been knocked out. I wish more fighters had the balls to fight without the safety net of sanctioned fights.

You sir are an idiot.

I said GSP fights safe idiot. Dude seriously can you not read? I didn't say its a risk when hes on the ground, I SAID STANDING UP AND TRADING IT ALWAYS A RISK NO MATTER HOW MUCH KO POWER YOU HAVE OR HOW GOOD OF A BOXER YOU ARE. The gloves are small so everyone can KO everyone, so no matter who you are a slugfest is always a RISK.

SO WHY SHOULD GSP STAND UP AND TAKE A RISK WHEN HE CAN WRESTLE FUCK EVERYONE AND NO ONE CAN STOP HIM?

Other fighters dont have a choice because they dont have the ability gsp has on the ground.

What Im saying is that your saying GSP wrestles guys because he has no power in his hands and your spreading this bullshit like you know everything and this is 100% true but its impossible to know unless he comes out and says it.

What IM SAYING IS, YOU MAY NOT BE NECESSARILY WRONG, BUT THE REASON HE WRESTLES MOST LIKLEY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS POWER, HES JUST PLAYING IT SAFE.

Tank Abbot sucks dude, he's a 10-14 fighter. Yea hes old now but he fights guys you cant even google. Many fighters get old they dont lose all there skill, they can still beat up the cans tank gets KO'd by. In his prime he was barley pushing a 50/50 record, in like 2003 time period he went like fucking 1-6 in the UFC, how in the hell would he be a top 10 fighter in 2005 when he shouldn't have even been in the UFC in 2003. The argument is so stupid because the guy is not good at all. As a matter of fact, very few in the UFC back in 1993-2003 would even make it on a prelim Fuel TV card today.

Thats your first problem. You dont know shit and have to google to find everything. I dont need to google to know the history of the sport.

You are trying to change yours and my arguement. I have said since the first page that GSP has no power. Period!!! You are adding in all the other shit to back peddle. You want to focus on his stand up and make excuses. He cant hurt anyone on the ground either and you dont have any excuses for it and are being to big a pussy to admit your idiot punches like a bitch. I never said he shouldnt wrestle people. I just point out he has no power and that effects how he chooses to fight. If he had power he wouldnt fight all his fights the way he did. He would have been able to finish the guys he stood with like Koscheck or Shields or he could have finished Hardy and others on the ground. He has no power so those options are not open to him. You are putting words in my mouth because you cant admit the truth.

Your quote is not what i said at all. I have no problem with the way he fights. I said his lack of power is why he has to do it for 25 minutes. If he had power only a couple of fights would have went the distance. Address my point or STFU!

Hey BrainSmasher...

Tank Abbott vs Randy Couture right now who wins?

Tank Abbott vs Herschell Walker right now who wins?

I think even Batista could beat Tank Abbott lol

You would. Because you are a pro wrestling fan. You think Hulk Hogan beats Jon Jones!

[...]you homosexuals [...]GSP would be doing gay porn for a living rather than for fun like he does now.

[...] GSP will get his ass fisted by Hendricks [...] Hendricks will rape him in a rematch [...]

I think I found like 30 gay slurs or references to homosexuality in the last 3 pages you vomited out. You seem awfully preoccupied with other men's sexuality and what homosexuals do to each other. Is there something you want to tell us? Don't worry, we won't judge you.

Brawling. Isnt that what was used to make this happen? Let me guess. You are going to claim Serra has technical boxing? hahaha

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k231/combatchaz/gspserra1.gif

If you'd actually watched that fight you'd realize that Serra set that right hand up all fight by going to the body with it constantly and forcing GSP to drop his guard. What you see here is him faking a body shot and nailing GSP on the jaw as he tried to land a counter. Happy to be of service, sir.

While he isn't a great boxer that was head and shoulders above what 90% of all MMA fighters do standing as far as boxing strategy is concerned.

What MMA skill does Serra have? BJJ? Nope he has 1 Sub in the UFC. Tank has 2 submissions in the UFC. Serra has 2 KO's in the UFC. Tank has 4. Tank has wrestling and Serra doesnt. Also Serra is from New York which has more pussies and fags than even Canada. He would need a step ladder to trim Tanks toe nails! Just because he is the best that shit hole NY has to offer doesnt make him any good. But i guess thats still good enough to starch GSP! LMAO!!!!

Nice fight finder references, buddy. Here's a popsicle.

Also, another "fag" and now you're talking about pedicures. Nice.

Did the same to Oleg. Smashed him on the feet and out wrestled him and beat him on the ground until he gassed 15-20 minutes in.

If my memory about this fight is more or less correct he gassed way earlier than that and sorta laid on Oleg like a stranded whale for a while.

Im sure you see everything different with your queer vision. Probabley rainbow colored too.

Do you want a hug?

Your comparing your drunk friends with profesional referees put there by commision?

There isn't much of a difference in most cases. Actually I think a random drunk would be a better judge than Adelaide Byrd.

Yes about GSP sure that CA hits harder than him. Every one knows that GSP doesnt hit hard he is more ''white'' fights more with technique and is strenght wrestler.

hahahaha what the fuck

I never said GSp fought safe. That was you who claims that.He fights the way he fights. I only said he doesnt throw many right hands because he doesnt do any damage with them. Like any good fighter he uses what he has that works. His right hand isnt effective. You fail to realize the risk you keep making up isnt in effect when he has dominant position on the ground and repeatedly hits the guy on the ground and cant stop them. He cant even overwelm anyone with strikes let alone rock them or knock them out.

I wish more fighters had the balls to fight without the safety net of sanctioned fights.

Cain Velasquez was known for having "weak power" due to having to swarm people with a million strikes. When are you gonna learn that 'KO Power' is completely arbitrary and a load of shit when presented as some kind of magic intangible?

You wish that more fighters would fight outside of sanctioned fights? Seriously? Like, get in fucking bar brawls?

Tank considers himself a wrestler?

lol.........

Tank was a JUCO wrestler back in the day, and even out of shape he still won a lot of his early UFC fights from the top/against the fence.

Tank was very good for his time and could've been better if he gave a shit. I was a huge fan back when I started watching fights, and I still go back to some of his more memorable moments every few months (the Nelmark KO, the Frye fight etc). Don't let BrainSmasher being a dink cloud that.

hahahaha what the fuck

White fighters are like GSP Rockhold Fitch Griffin. They are all strenght atleats and the fight like that. They like to wrestle guys with their strenght. Because they have a lot of it they dont have explosivnes as the Black fighters. They are mor of a grinders with tech and dont go wild they stick to their game plane and decision fighters. Opposite to that of course are black fighters who are explosive and are very wild and have much more KO power guys like Rampage Melvin. Also I noticed that Brazilian fighters are fast and very technical.

You also heard it on Rogans pod cast he had 2 good examples of k1 fighters one of them is Peter Aerts who is slow pace technical grinder where on other hand are Melvin Mahoef who is more explosive and wild.

For mma explosivnes are better of your a strikes but if your a guy like Fitch or GSP you need that strengt to wrestle these guys and control them thats why they dont have explosivnes and KO power.

Personally I think GSP has power but I think he holds back because he has a weak chin. When it comes to exchanges, if people start to get a couple decent hits on him he stands there like a punching bag for a minute looking like he's out of it. I think he chooses to only really use his kicks and jabs mainly to keep some distance and then only closes in for takedowns. Just my take.

My argument never changed, actually my argument is not even an argument. I never said GSP has KO power. I'm just staying your bullshit reasoning makes no fucking sense. Your trying to say the guy is playing it safe because he has no ko power. Why cant the guy just be playing it safe so he doesnt make a mistake and leave an opening to get KO'd also?

When GSP is standing he still plays it as safe as possible. He utilizes a lot of jabs kicks and long range punches that don't leave an opening. He's not throwing power shots trying to put guys out. You know why? Because throwing these types of shots leaves openings and gives your opponent a chance to put you out. So he does what he does best, he does what no one has been able to stop...

Like Mannetson said, your trying to make it seem like KO Power is some Magical Intangible. it's not, every single fighter in the UFC has the power to put someone out. Guys like Dan Henderson do it more often because they open up more and take more risks throwing power punches.

When GSP connects with a punch usually its from a distance, and when he connects its at the end of his punch. It still hurts the guy but he usually does not get close enough to hit his opponent in the "powerzone" for say of the punch, because in order to do that you gotta be close enough were your taking the risk of getting punched back.

"Your quote is not what i said at all. I have no problem with the way he fights. I said his lack of power is why he has to do it for 25 minutes. If he had power only a couple of fights would have went the distance. Address my point or STFU!"

Thats exactly what my quote is saying. I never said you have a problem with the way he fights. I said your REASONING IS HE FIGHTS THAT WAY BECAUSE HE HAS NO POWER.

Dude you seriously do not know how to read lmao.

To address your point about him not putting people out on the ground either. How often do you see a guy put someone out on the ground unless the guy has already been rocked. It doesn't happen too often, and its already been stated GSP fights safe on the ground also.

Diaz even said it GSP lays on you and rubs elbows across your face and doesnt create any distance. So like I siad, you cant judge KO Power that. Its like if I go into a fight and throw kicks only. And you say the reason im throwing kicks only is because I dont know how to throw punches. Yea that would make sense, but its not a fact you cant prove it unless you see me punch.

Now youll probally comeback and say "Well if GSP had ko power he wouldnt fight like that he would just create distance and KO the guy." So before you can make that stupid fucking statement again diaz addressed that too.

"For a guy to throw power shots he has to create distacnce which gives the guy on the bottem a chance to use his ju jitsu or sweep etc etc."

So for GSP to throw a power shot it would leave an opening for the ground guy to make a move, SO... He choses not to.

And it all goes back to the major point. NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO STOP HIM THE WAY HE IS FIGHTING. HES NOT GOING TO CHANGE IT.

Interesting fact. If you take GSPs last 11 fights. Thats all of the fights since he was beaten by Matt serra, and take the last 3 fights from all of the opponents. They are as a collective on a losing streak of 11 wins, 21 losses and 1 draw. Whereas Anderson Silvas last 11 opponents have a winning collective record of 25- 8.

not that interesting. welterweight is a much tougher division...it's harder to stay on top and keep collecting wins, which is why gsp's reign is impressive. it's easier to get wins at middleweight.

middleweight has historically been the second worst division in mma, behind heavyweight. right now is the deepest its ever been. we know middleweight was a very weak division when cote and leites got title shots.

Not surprised. WW has been weak for a long time and the UFC had to start rushing people into title shots to keep thongs fresh. After the title shot they stop protecting them. Like Diaz now for example. He is t going to get a BJ Penn to get a title shot anymore. He will get thrown to the wolves and have to fight the people he should have already fought. So he will lose every other fight. He will get just enough wins to keep him in the UFC if they want to keep him. Then you have guys like Penn and Hughes who were at the end of their career. So they couldnt get the wins of say a Franklin did for Silva.

When are you gonna learn that 'KO Power' is completely arbitrary and a load of shit when presented as some kind of magic intangible?

There is a sort of intangible nature to it though, Melvin Manhoef isn't a particularly big guy (and nor is his technique perfect) but his power is frightening, some other guys in kickboxing have 80 pounds on him and just don't seem to rattle skulls quite as much despite having good technique. I suspect it's something to do with bone density.

I agree. Its is refered to as heavy hands. Leben doesnt have any hand speed and strength to speak of. But he crumbles people with half hearted punches because the effect of his shots seem like he has a brick for a fist. Others like this are Hendo and Chuck Liddell. IMO if GPS hand this(you dont have to have heavy hands to have power.) he would do tons more damange than he does. He would also try to use it if he had it. I believe a good example of someone who has power but not heavy hands is Vitor Belfort. With the exception of a couple fights. Almost all of his finishes were from overwelming people with strikes for stoppages. As strong as he is and as fast as he is. He doesnt really knock people cold even after landing a shit load of punches.

GSP imo is a more athletic Matt Hughes. As good as Hughes was he was never a natural puncher. GSP is not as bad at Hughes at it. But he still isnt a natural puncher. He is technical and follows the technical aspect to set up his wrestling or to avoid others wrestling when needed. But he isnt a good puncher. He uses the techniques his ability allows him to get away with. Thats a jab. Even his superman punch is a jab unlike others who use it. Just like Hughes when he does throw right hands there you can tell he isnt a puncher. As much as Hughes trained it when he started standing later in his career vs BJJ guys and wrestlers. He didnt have the same machanics as the big hitters. HE will always be a wrestler trying to strike until other wrestlers who become great punchers. GSP doesnt fit in that mold imo. When he gets forced to stand and strike. I think his lack of power will be exposed.

Also Tank is fighting next month. So much for not getting his license moron! Also 47 years old is old when fighting people in their 20's and 30's. Tyson doing workouts doesnt mean shit. He quit for a reason a long time ago. He would be shit in a fight today no matter what he looks like to your virgin eyes.

Mike Tyson would knockout 10 Tank Abbott's in a row.
