MAIN EVENT

(C) Joe Exotic vs. Raate Road

In the Main Event we have a contest for the ages. One of the greatest fights in MMATycoon history will take place. #2 p4p and Middleweight king Joe Exotic will put his championship on the line against #8 p4p and Combate Welterweight champion Raate Road.

With a victory over Raate Road, Joe Exotic is likely to move into the #1 p4p spot and take home the extremely coveted fighter of the year award. But beating Raate Road is much easier said than done.

From the famed Heavy Metal camp, Raate Road is no stranger to top end competition. Spending his days sparring top 3 p4p Summa Sector, Road believes he can beat any other fighter in the world and is ready to take the top p4p spot. With a smothering top game and slick submissions he will look to take advantage of Exotic's ground game who has only ever been finished once by way of submission.

Can Joe Exotic keep this contest on the feet and cement his fighter of the year campaign with a top 10 p4p victory or will Raate Road dethrone the tiger king?

CO-MAIN EVENT

(C) Leif Leifsson vs. Barron White

The p4p king has returned. In a highly anticipated heavyweight title unification bout, Leif Leifsson takes on his former teammate and training partner Barron White.

When news of this matchup first hit the rumor mill the entire MMA community was BUZZING with excitement. Everybody has heard the legendary sparring tales of these two men going toe to toe in the 'Tap or Nap' gym.

Their final sparring session seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back. White knocked Leif out just days before his rematch against Kilo Maluga. The concussion compromised Leif and he dropped his title to Kilo via first round TKO. This ultimately led to a falling out in the camp. Sources say Leif demanded head coach Teyo picked between him or White, Teyo picked Leif and the rest is history.

Since then both men have been on a absolute war path through the heavyweight division. Who will come out as the king?

WORLD LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

16557279597559.jpeg   VS.   16034561024307.jpg

(C) Ispa Perkele vs. Rod De Minuar

Only one title has eluded Rod in his illustrious career. The Synchronicity Lightweight championship. Compiling a stellar record of 27-5 since leaving syn, Rod has been all over the world winning championships from GAMMA to Combate. Now he has finally decided to return to the big leagues and challenge for the World Championship.

In their first contest Rod thoroughly dominated Ispa with all three judges scoring the fight 50-45 in Rod's favor. Many believe Rod is bound to repeat his performance as he has only improved since the last contest.

Can Ispa pull off the upset in the rematch and lead us to a potential trilogy or will Rod take the throne atop the lightweight division?

MAIN CARD

(C) Kilo Maluga vs. Cedric De Boise

35. That's the number of all time wins Kilo has in Synchronicity. No other heavyweight in the promotion even has 35 CAREER wins. The KO king Kilo Maluga is nothing short of the greatest of all time. With 27 world titles and more records than he can count Kilo has nothing left to prove. Nobody knows when he will hang the gloves up but with every fight potentially being his last we know he will be going out emptying the tank every night.

To get win #36 he'll have to go through Cedric De Boise (CDB). Looking to avenge his loss from the first fight, CDB will want to continue the work he did the the first two rounds as judges had him up 20-18 going into the 3rd round where he was finished. A win over Kilo could potentially earn him a rematch with champion Leif Leifsson who he is 0-2 against.

WORLD BANTAMWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

16359477503918.jpg    VS.   15863294057807.jpg

(C) Pablo De Gano vs. Valen Dreth

In a Bantamweight title defense, SYN Bantamweight champion and #1 Bantamweight in the world Pable De Gano takes on #2 Bantamweght Valen Dreth.

Pablo De Gano has taken the MMA world by storm. On a 20 fight win streak with 10 consecutive tko's De Gano has become one of the most popular bantamweights in history. After knocking off the greatest Bantamweight champion in Synchronicity history De Gano will look to add to white hot run.

On the other side he takes on the #2 Bantamweight on the planet Valen Dreth. An extremely well rounded competitor Valen has finally decided to move down to his natural weight class of 135 after being a career undersized featherweight. Valen has the ability to finish the fight on the feet as well as on the ground. He will look to keep De Gano guessing as he trys to mix things up over the course of 5 rounds looking for the finish.

WORLD WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

9w9.jpg   VS.   15492058935053.gif

(C) Summa Sector vs. Mario Benedetti

In the opening fight to our PPV main card Summa Sector defended his SYN Welterweight championship against rival Mario Benedetti in a trilogy bout.

Prior to the fourth round stoppage In their second bout, Mario Benedetti had won 6 of the previous 8 rounds they had fought. Many believe that if this contest goes 5 rounds it is all but assured Mario will take the decision, but with fight changing power like Summa Sector's that is much easier said than done.

WORLD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

2b3.jpg   VS.   14870305405472.png

(C) Mike Okafor vs. Mantak Garuda

In our final undercard bout Mike Okafor looks to make his first title defense in what is his toughest career challange yet as he takes on former SYN Light heavyweight champion Mantak Garuda.

Mantak Garuda captured a the SYN Light Heavyweight at the young age of 28 years old, now 9 years later at the age of 37 he is looking to recapture his glory in the twilight of his career by knocking off the new young gun.

Mike Okafor shocked the world when he was able to knock out Baldur Torsten in his Synchronicity debut. Since the fall of long time legend Just Whymer the world title has been constantly changing hands. No champion has been able to defend the title three consecutive times since Whymer, will Okafor be the first?

WORLD FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

15654424316092.jpg   VS.   15w9.jpg

(C) Petchuanglek Sitsongrit vs. Darren Dixon

In a Featherweight unification bout current SYN Featherweight champion and #7 p4p Petchuanglek Sitsongrit will take on Combate Champion and submission specialist Darren Dixon.

Of Petchuanglek's 4 career losses only 2 have been finishes, both by submission. With Darren Dixons deadly ground game can he take advantage of Petchuangleks one weakness or will he fall victim to a counter striking clinic?

UNDER CARD

14978123263430.jpg   VS.   26b5.jpg

Winston Todd vs. Jake Bird

In our second bout of the evening we have former p4p king and Olympic gold medalist Winston Todd taking on Combate Middleweight champion and submission specialist Jake Bird.

Much like Puno (3rd gen), Winston Todd is a 2nd generation superstar. Many pundits argue he has already surpassed the legendary career of his father while others say if he cant recapture the title he was was the king of a weak era.

The only path back to that title is through dangerous submission magician Jake Bird. Bird is an extremely dangerous fighter when he can get the fight to the ground, Bird he the 2nd most submission in Combate history and will look to have the same historic impact in syn.

UNDER CARD

15359803109134.jpg   VS.   14b7.jpg

Yago Steve vs. Adan Puno

In a Dynasty vs SYN Superfight, former SYN Heavyweight champion and #7 Heavyweight in the world Yago steve takes on current 'Dynasty' Heavyweight Champion and #8 Heavyweight Adan Puno. Adan is the Grandson of Synchronicity legend and all time great Fidel Puno and son of Kajun Puno. Can Adan follow in the footsteps of his legendary family members and continue the legecy or will Steve play spoiler and get a walk off Cinderella victory for his final fight?

Welcome to the House of 1000 Corpses prediction show!

On our panel today are the following team members who are assisting manager Crazy Horse in sharing some of their collective thoughts on the coming card:

1w1.jpg16599255446450.jpg16343608306329.jpeg2w6.jpg16262937927093.jpg

From left to right we have:

Snappy Whiplash, one of the team's elder statesmen, lower weight class expert and recent GAMMA 145 title challenger vs the Sitsongrit camp.

Zheko "Water" Melondov, special comments. No, I mean really special.

Butch "Does not get" Frewin, HW veteran, recent SMASH double belt holder, known for recently successfully dodging all of Kilo's attempts to hit him at range and gassing himself doing so

Athos Knox, former Panda 185lb and OFK 170lb champion, medium weight class expert and known for recently elbowing the batman to death.

Kjetil Olsen, fresh SYN HW signing and current #9 HW in the tycoon universe. Has an added interest in multiple matchups on this card.

Now onto the predictions!
************************************************

Steve vs Puno (265)

First cab off the rank is a good one! Two guys at different stages of their career. Steve seemingly was not really going anywhere notable in his career (besides trading wins with the older Babinski) before entering a period of an incredible peak with back to back kingslayings. He has since come down off that pedestal somewhat but still poses a threat to a largely hard to figure out Puno. Puno is fresh off torching two very tough chins and is in great form. However his two early career KO losses haven't aged particularly well so it's hard to figure out if he's got what it takes to elevate to the peak Yago Steve once reached.

BF: "Yago Steve reminds me a tiny bit of our friend Kjetil here, you never know quite what you're going to get."
SW: "Our teammate Roman Zhadanov demolished one of the guys that knocked Puno out, but I think Puno is a different fighter now."
Verdict: Puno won't play tag with Steve like CDB has in 2/3 of their fights. Puno to win by TKO in an upset.
************************************************

Todd vs Bird (185)

Todd is still great, there's just a very flamboyant Tiger King who has his number. In recent times he's been swinging with a bit more power, before running into the immovable object that has simply outworked him over 10 rounds. We don't expect him to change too much against Bird though. Jake Bird has quietly put together a great streak since the SFL/Combate merger and really turned his career around with a smothering ground game.

AK: "Todd's power isn't immense, but it's still definitely there. However Bird's chin is very solid. This will come down to workrate and how sound Todd's grappling defence is."
ZM: "Bird peck Todd. Todd zquish Bird."
Verdict: Todd to survive the smother but not crack his chin. Todd by UD.
************************************************

Sitsongrit vs Dixon (145 title)

Will be fast, will be furious. Dixon will mix it up but probably sees grappling as his path to victory. However, Sitsongrit is extremely well versed in fighting both grapplers and other point fighters. Recent opponents haven't really shown a tendency to come for his head and Dixon isn't going to buck the mould.

SW: "Expect to see Sitsongrit's series against Davdio Branko as a preview of this fight. There's a chance there, but it's stacked against Dixon."
KO: "Hey Snappy, doesn't Dixon hold a win over you?"
SW: "A different life. MMA math doesn't work. He also lost to Lincoln Storm and I just 30-27'd him, so I'd like to see him try now."
Verdict: Sitsongrit by UD
************************************************

Okafor vs Garuda (205 title)

Newcomer Okafor takes on a resurging veteran with dynamite in his hands. Garuda has hit a vein of form but has a bit of a weakness to cuts. Okafor isn't that guy to exploit it though, choosing an overwhelming volume of head punches and leg kicks to win though outpointing - including against Baldur Torsten (who also has his cut issues).

KO: "Garuda can definitely crack Okafor's chin here. 5 rounds is a long time for Okafor to dance around at 205. He's been rocked in fights he's survived to win by rounds."
BF: "Garuda will have to watch for Okafor's insane reach and tendency to mix a bit of grappling in."
Verdict: Garuda to end the year on a fairy tale title. Garuda by KO
************************************************

Sector vs Benedetti (170 title)

Sector's manager Pablo Spezziale has recently been terrorising well known SP fighter Keisuke Matsuzaka. In his tongue-in-cheek words "Yeah I don't know why it's been so hard for everybody to KO Matsuzaka, just go and do it.." and do it he has, handing him his first two KO losses - the first of which came through Summa Sector. Summa is coming with some HEAT, but Benedetti has weathered the storm before. The wily veteran can turn on the power but also use his experience to outwork and outpoint his opponent with no sign of slowing down with age.

ZM: "Summa is zhe perfect time for a watermelon helmet and a zerve of KO PAAAAANCH"
Verdict: MMA Math says Benedetti > Our new teammate Logan Barengarry > Summa Sector. Benedetti by UD
************************************************

De Geno vs Dreth (135 title)

De Geno represents a rare fighter at 135. He absolutely swings for the fences and has stopped long time champ Detkhunjon Sitsongrit back to back. Dreth on the other hand has never been knocked out and that's in a career that has mostly seen him fight up on his natural weightclass.

SW: "Does De Geno have a plan B if Dreth's chin proves too much? Will Dreth's cardio hold up now he has to cut weight?"
AK: "Dreth has the edge in better competition overall but De Geno's form is incredible."
Verdict: The man tapped Dixon recently! Dreth by Submission or GNP KO
************************************************

Maluga vs De Boise (265)

CDB just feels like he's been on the cusp of greatness for what feels like a long time. But time is ticking and if he's going to do it, the time is now on this stage. Kilo needs no introduction. The greatness has been achieved, but as long as the cheques keep cashing, he's here to please.

BF: "CDB needs to sort his clinchwork out. Granted losing the fight there to Kilo and Leif is nothing to be ashamed of, but it's been incredibly lopsided there when CDB has fought them. Trust me, I know all about going into the clinch with Kilo a little unprepared."
KO: "Maluga to gatekeep CDB from that next level again. I don't think CDB quite has that fuck you power, a UD loss with Yago Steve and a lot of his TKO wins are via cuts."
Verdict: Maluga via clinch KO
************************************************

Perkele vs De Minaur (155 title)

Both guys are not fully entrenched into Syn just yet, so this is the opportunity to really get that foot in as a potential future legend. But what happens when you take a KO artist in Perkele vs a guy that has never been KO'd in De Minaur? Probably the same as their first meeting unfortunately for Perkele. Can he find his power again after a couple of middling performances?

ZM: "Perkele vs De Minaur soundz a bit like perky minotaur. Zhis iz a terrifying thought."
Verdict: De Minaur via UD
************************************************

Leifsson vs White (265 title)

Champ vs Champ. One has been all over the airwaves all year while the other has quietly gone about their business. We don't think we're alone when our first reaction was 'who the fook is that guy?' when White first got his title shot vs the hairy hillbilly. But, he turned on the heat and put Triple B out in the first round after cruising to UDs in the previous fights. If the step up in competition White has faced in the last two fights was graphed in comparison to his career, it'd be steeper than Mt Everest. Leif is running on a massive (but figurative) high, but he's coming down to send White to the shadow realm.

KO: "Our teammate Noah Anderson took White's BB title off him back in the day. Leif poses a problem approximately 50cm different in height. White's going to have to do what he did against Panda but better."
BF: "I heard rumours Leif's management were already looking ahead to other future potential matchups. It would be a grave error to look too far ahead..."
Verdict: Leif via KO
************************************************

Exotic vs Road (185 title)

Pablo's back with another superstar to take on what could be the fighter of the year in the Tiger King himself. Joe Exotic has the stamina of 1000 tigers and has a well rounded game that on paper poses a very difficult task for Raate Road. Exotic piles on the pace but is a very adept grappler himself, turning his defence into a sneaky submission game that can catch people unaware. Road is also well rounded and keeps a deceptively high pace himself on the feet. On the ground however, he poses a different challenge to those that Exotic has faced before in that he favours a heavy GNP approach with plenty of heavy top pressure and enough activity to keep the referees away. This often makes his standup output look smaller in comparison over 5 rounds, but that's simply due to the time spent with Road in top control. This poses to be a really interesting matchup and I wouldn't be suprised if we see 200+ strikes thrown between them both on the feet and on the ground.

SW: "Road's top control game and Exotic's submission skills make this very interesting. I think we definitely see them spend some time on the ground this fight."
AK: "Exotic's year has been incredible. He potentially seals FOTY with a win here, but an upset blows that award wide open."
Verdict: Joe Exotic by Majority Decision

Leifsson losing to vaseline was a trip.

And Puno's near-instant obliteration of Steve getting a 0% fight rating is a travesty.

(UFC: Masvidal was a global superstar from his flying Knee to Askren).

Edit: Lol My first downvote.

white-salt-bulk-bag.jpg

5 sec Tycoon fights don't get a 100% rating unless you land 2 moves. Puno should've landed some Todd Duffee style hammerfist to secure the bag.

Solid event but I noticed one thing, why did Combate fighters outright DOMINATE SYN fighters in almost every fight? It reminded me a lot of the Bellator vs Rizin card where one side completely swept and dominated the other, which in this case was Combate crushing SYN. Surely this would make Combate the rightful winner of the org of the year award for 2022 considering that when it came down to when it matters most they won with ease on the biggest event in the second half of the year with a majority of the fights being crossovers? I don't mean to offend any SYN associates but this was straight up embarrassing.
