Sorry for being late with this, Preview for Syn: Black Out

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1388450741280%20Black%20Out.jpg

Hello fight fans King here bring you a special Mid week treat from Synchronicity, Syn' 280:BLACK OUT will be held in the Tokyo Bowl in front of the 40,000 plus MMA fans. We have some of the top fighters on the card including the number 1 ranked Featherweight in the world Gary Bunn, and the highly talked about grudge match between Jax and Scott "Ducker" Davies. There is a lot to go over so lets get it started......
265lbs+-John Farson(27-11)vsThorbjorn Ramsberg(38-17)-Ramsberg by (t)KO in 2nd Rd
170lbs-Barry Allen(19-10)vsRoque Barrett(35-15)-Barrett by UD
185lbs-Viserys Targaryen(19-10-1)vsRandal Pritchard(25-17-1)-Pritchard by (t)KO in 1st Rd
155lbs-Shinichi Fuujin(36-16)vsDoc Holliday(24-13-1)-Fuujin by SD
265lbs-David Gilmour(17-6)vsThomas Billington(34-17-2)-Gilmour by (t)KO in 3rd Rd
205lbs-"One Bad Man"Moses Diggs(41-12)vs"God's Worker"Jonah Sumrall(17-4)
Our Main card starts off with a great match up in the Light Heavyweight division, former top ranked pound for pound fight Moses Diggs looks to shut down the momentum of Jonah Sumrall who comes into this fight on a 3 fight win streak. Sumrall is eager to get back in the cage, after there was problems with the plane the last time and he wasn't able to make it to the fight, but with this fight just being a week later he should be ready to go still. Jonah has a very well rounded skill set and a nasty countering game, that has helped him earn 15 of his 17 wins by knockout. Moses Diggs fights out of the famed Convicted camp and has reached all the way to #2 on the pound for pound rankings, so he is no stranger to big fights and has no lack of experience. Moses has an overwhelming style coming forward attacking his opponents lower body with kicks, while brutalizing their head and body with those bricks he calls fist. Both of these guys like to stand and bang, but I think that the sly veteran Moses has the better chin and more power in his hands so he should be able to take control of this one.
135lbs-Tokugawa"The Seeker"Kazunari(21-7)vs"raging pit bull"Jake Lamotta(39-15-1)
In our next fight we have the highly talked about grudge match, for those of you who don't know the back story Tokugawa and his manager Jax took to twitter and the tycoon forums calling Jake out and even said that his manager Scott has been ducking the fight offers, and after a public back and forth war of words these two agreed to have their fighters throw down. Tokugawa is coming off of that upset over ex pound for pound King Waru Kuzuri, and is hoping that momentum will help him coming into this big fight. Jake Lamotta comes over to Syn' just for this fight and he brings in a 3 fight win streak with him, and a whole of finishing ability that makes him a very dangerous man. Jake is a grappling expert that has a nice combination of high level Wrestling and a Black belt, he also has some extremely vicious and accurate ground n pound. Tokugawa is a lot more active of a striker throwing a lot of punches both to the head and body, but isn't afraid to chop away at his opponents legs or body. I think that Kazunari is coming to want to come out and try to keep this fight at distance with his striking advantage, but he is going up against a fair more experienced fighter in Lamotta and I am sure that Jake will find some way to get this one of the mat. Kazunari is no slouch on the mat either, so this one could go either way on the ground.
145lb Title-C. Matt Miller(29-9-1)vsMilo Papi(31-8-1)
In our title fight of the evening we have the newly crowned Featherweight Champion Matt Miller looking for his first Title defense against the always tough as nails veteran Milo Papi. Milo was the last Unity MMA champion, and has one both of his first two fights under the Syn' banner so he would love to add the Syn' belt to his showcase. Papi has a well rounded skill set and usually comes out with a well rounded gameplan, he likes to stand and trade strikes but also looks for the takedown and has some good ground n pound. Matt Miller trains with the famous Womba out of the famed Hits like a Girl camp, so he spars with top notch fights on the daily which means he should be very well prepared for this contest. Matt comes into this one of a 3 fight win streak and will surely have a a similar game plan as his opponent as he to likes the fight to take place everywhere. Matt has the better grappling though so when the fight goes to the mat he is sure to have the advantage there, but he also has a descent striking game. Both of these fighters are no strangers to wars with a combined 28 decisions, but either one of them could also end the fight at any moment. I think that Miller will be able to do enough to win the grappling game and should be able to get the judges nod.
170lbs-Ben"Balls of"Stone(31-8)vs"Witcher"Alexei Surov(27-10)
Our Co Main event takes place in the Welterweight division, with Ben Stone the ex Champion taking on the Grappling ace Alexei Surov in a rematch that Alexei got the better of Stone and earned a decision victory. Alexei the Russian Native has a great Sambo style, and has used that style to secure 12 career submission victories and that's not including all the decision wins from dominating his opponent on the mat. Surov currently holds the Steel Penn New York title, and has been stated as wanting to work his way to another title in Syn' and is well on his way if he can get another victory in this one. Ben Stone is another one of those highly thought of Chris Karter fighters, and we all know that all of them always come ready to fight and to take their opponents heads off which he has been able to do 18 times up until this in his career. Stone throws a lot of kicks that punish his opponents legs and body, while throwing powerful punches. Ben has won 7 out of the 10 fights sine he lost to Surov in their last meeting, so he will want to prove that he is the better fighter and that he has improved the most. If Stone can stop the takedown he should be able to destroy Alexei as he has yet to really adapt to the stand up game. If the fight goes to the ground then it will be a long night for Ben trying to fight off the superior grappler from his back. This one should come down to who has the better game plan and who had the better training camp coming into this one.
155lbs-"The Bone Collector"Gary Bunn(28-8)vsDonny"The Bear Jew"Donowitz(32-4)
It is finally time for the Main event of the evening and what a contest we have in store for you guys, it will take place in the the Lightweight division and will pit the #5 pound for pound fighter Gary Bunn against the #17 pound for pound fighter Donny Donowitz and both of these guys are in the top 3 in the division. Don't let Gary fool you, while he may not be able to finish a whole lot of fights, this guy is one of the best fighters in the world and has one of the best managers that makes for a scary combination for any of his opponents. Bunn has been rolling over the top fighters in the world for awhile now including his wins over Rafa Silva and Otso Jokinen and comes into this contest on a 7 fight win streak. Bunn as a very aggressive and active striking game always coming forward and throws head punches and leg kicks at a very high rate, but is no slouch if the fight goes to the ground either and only has one career loss via submission. Donny is a LFNC veteran and is on a super impressive 12 fight win streak, that has seen him fight in Cage Wars, Herioc, and SPFT. Donny comes into his fights with one thing on his mind and that is hurting his opponent, and if that guy can't finish you will beat you to a pulp and make you wish that you had just quit. The guys is a born and trained Killer who throws the most amount of strikes per fight that I think I have ever seen, and he has a very high success rate with being able to land over 60% of his strikes thrown. This fight is going to turn into a war, Bunn's best chance to win will be to get the fight to the mat and use his BJJ advantage, but if he isn't able to get the fight down I'm afraid that Donny maybe able to just out work him on the feet and in the clinch. This one has Fight of the Night written all over it and I can't wait!
There you have it folks 10 world class match ups, you won't see too many other orgs being able to put a show like this on in the middle of the week and still have another great card on Saturday! I would like to thank the sponsor for this event Reaper Combatwear, make sure to check in with them for all your clothing and sponsorship needs. Also make sure to check in with Syn' City betzone and earn some cash off your favorite Syn' fighters!

Syn' 281: Irresistible

http://www.mmatycoon.com/images/posters/1386805625280%20Irresistible.jpg

Hello Fight fans King here bringing you another exciting PPV preview from Synchronicity this Saturday night live in the Colossuseum at LA. The premiere attraction for this event is the Light Heavyweight Championship fight between the current Champion Juan Sebastien Veron and the challenger top 10 P4P fighter Scotty Bennet. Plus we have 9 other World class match ups on the slate so lets get the action started.......

Prelims

170lbs-Harry Ballzonya(16-14)vsMatt Sabre(41-19-1)-Sabre by UD
135lbs-Rico Dominguez(21-10-3)vsRicardo Ramirez(20-11)-Dominguez by (t)KO in 1st Rd
265lbs+-Glen Davis(17-12)vsRau Utu(9-5)-Utu by (t)KO in 2nd Rd
185lbs-Leif Nygard(25-11)vsDom Danky(21-11-1)-Danky by UD
135lbs-Kyle Le Blanc(29-12-1)vsHenry Morgan(26-17)-Morgan by SUB in 3rd Rd

Main Card

265lbs-Jobe Nkemakolam(32-12)vsK.J. Choi(17-7)

Our Main Card starts off with a Heavyweight show down, KJ is looking to bounce back from losing his Syn' debut and show the rest of the division that he is no push over. Jobe Nkemakolam has held the Heavyweight title before and wants to get his belt back around his waste, but will have to get through this very tough and game opponent to do so. Jobe is a very active striker throwing a great mix of headhunting punches while punishing his opponents body and legs with his great kicks. Choi is an Elite Boxer, and has the power in both hands to make quick work of any of his opponents and he has done so in all of his 17 career victories. KJ isn't afraid to mix some kicks in some kicks on occasion but don't be expecting him to get away from his game plan too much. This fight should be a stand up war, and both of these two have the skills and natural power to end the fight. KJ has the reach advantage, but Jobe has the experience on his side so it will be interesting to see which one of this guys will be able to get the upper hand.

155lbs-"Braveheart"Colin Hendry(30-12-1)vsJan Zelenka(15-2-1)

Our next match up takes place in the Lightweight division, Colin Hendry is an ITFL season 1 alumni but at 36 years old you have to wonder if he is on the down slide of his career. Colin apparently still has some fuel left in the tank though having won 3 of his 4 match ups under the Syn' banner, and winning his last two in a row. Colin is an extremely aggressive fighter, he is always coming forward and throws a ton of punches while doing so. Jan Zelenka is a great up and coming prospect, having only lost 2 fights and sitting at 4-0-1 in since signing with Syn'. Jan is also a great striker, but has a bigger arsenal than his opponent because he has some great kicks to go with his Boxing. With Jan at only 29 years old, this is going to be great Old dog looking to show that he still has it against the Young dog that wants to knock the old dog off. Colin will have a lot to overcome in this fight, he is giving up age, some reach and weight, and Jan just appears to be the faster fighter in this one.

155lbs-Miguel"El Tigre"Lopez(31-8-1)vs"The Spanish Assassin"Michel Rodalgo(27-16-1)

In another Lightweight match up we have these two great fighters who are on their way up, Miguel Lopez comes into this fight on a five fight win streak including a victory in his Syn' debut at Syn' 272. Michel Rodalgo has won all three of his fights since entering Syn' and a win would secure his spot in the top 100 pound for pound fighters. Michel has some World Class grappling that includes an amazing double leg take down and a slick transition game that he uses to overwhelm his opponents into leaving an opening for a submission or just controls the ground positions enough to earn himself a decision victory. Miguel is a very tough striker and he does a great job of finding angles and and punishing his opponents with a relentless barrage of punches and kicks. Miguel has some descent Wrestling as well, and he does a great job using that in reverse sprawling opponents take down attempts. This fight is going to be a classic grappler vs striker match up, and this one is going to come down to the Wrestling aspect based on whether Michel can get the fight to the ground, or if Miguel will be able to keep the fight on the feet and use his striking advantage.
265lbs-"Granite Breaker"Emeka Shakur(38-13-1)vsBrick"No Air"Tires(15-5-1)

In our Co Main event of the evening we have a great match up in the Heavyweight division between these dynamite handed knockout artist. Emeka Shakur fights out of the famed Opa Jokinen camp, and shows the same skillet and mentality that most of the fighters that come out of there have and that is to come out and take his opponents head off. Brick Tires's last lose was to current Heavyweight Champion Devin Styles back at Syn' 252 and has since then been on a roll, but he will have his plate full in this match up. Brick has one punch knock out power in both hands, and has used that power to end 13 of his opponents nights early. Brick has also adapted the Muay Thai game in nicely and has just been brutalizing his opponents legs with some hard kicks. Emeka has 35 knockouts on his resume, and this is not a guy you want to take lightly, if you do you'll wake up looking at the arena lights wondering what just happened to you. The guy is a beast where ever the fight takes place, and he will be a hand full for any opponent. and coming off of that loss to Kyle Carlton in his last match up he is going to be hungry to get a win in this one. Both of these guys have big power and will come out looking for the stoppage, and really this is going to a hell of a match up reach is close, size is close, the only notable difference is Emeka's experience.

205lb Title-"Bow-Tie"Scotty Bennet(24-0)vsC.Juan Sebastien Veron(20-6)

In our Main event of the evening we have the Light Heavyweight Title on the line when the current Champion Juan Sebastien Veron looks for his second Title defense against the undefeated powerhouse Scotty Bennet. Bennet comes out of the JLP camp, and has just been steamrolling his opponents to an impressive 24-0 record but this will by far be his toughest match up to date. Bennet relies heavily on his kicking attacks and does a great job of combining them with his Sensational Boxing, he also has the power in all four limbs to finish a fight and has done so in 20 of his contests. Juan Sebastien Veron won the title back at Syn' 273 when he was able to edge out a decision victory over then Champion Tursunovich Tokhtakhoumov in what was a fight of the night winner. Juan brings in a 7 fight win streak, and can set himself as one of the top fighters in the world with another win in this one. Juan's stand up game consists a lot of a feeding his opponent a steady dose of punches until they leave an opening for a take down attempt, and once the fight hits the mat he unleashes some nasty ground n pound while doing a great job of controlling the ground positions. Both of these fighters are still in their prime and I believe that both of them have a very bright and long future ahead of them. This one will stand out on the fight and I have to believe that Scotty will have the advantage there, but will he be able to sprawl Veron's take down attempts which he has done a good job of up until this point in his career. If Veron can get the fight down he should be able to stay in a dominate position and control the action, but when the fight is on the feet he is going to have to watch out for the power of Bennet.

There you have it folks an absolutely great show put together for all of you Syn' fans! I would like to think our sponsors Reaper Combatwear, make sure to check in with them for all your sponsorship and clothing needs. Also make sure to check in for Syn City betzone to earn some cash on all your favorite Syn' fighters.

@Tokugawa Kazunari

"So what's about my fight against Martel? I heard that he is quitting from the challange and I wonder what Syn's managment group will say about the situation. #Don'tBeScaredHomie"

Chukie ya might have other plans for Martel, but would be great if we set the fight :D.

Thanks for keeping this active.

Syn ' 299 Singular Duality – Preview

On Sunday 11th May @ LA Memorial Colossuseum (Capacity of 93,607)

Synchronicity will be hosting its 299th event this coming Sunday in front of what is expect to be a packed crowd at the LA memorial Colossuseum, the event will also be broadcasted live on Pay-Per-View across the globe. It’s the go-home show before the big one, Syn’ 300, but that doesn’t mean the match-makers have done things by half as they have given us two great titles fights for this Sunday coming.

The Welterweight Title is up for grabs in the Main Event

With Daniel "Ravishing" Roth (24-10-2) challenging champion Sergiy Skylar (31-8-1)

The Story of Sergiy Skylar was one that caught the eye of the world anyway, being a young Ukrainian that came from nothing to accomplish a lot, but a couple of months ago Skylar decided to make the choice to fight above his weight. Despite giving up 30lbs to most of his opponents Skylar still manages to find a way to win – quiet often out surviving his opposition and then taking a victory late by TKO or decision. He has only lost once in Syn’ and that was to 135lbs champion Buzz Cloltran by decision.

His opponent on the other hand, the arrogant, showman that is Daniel “Ravishin” Roth has joined after leaving BFE upon its closure – Syn’ is the next step for him and he’s looking to jump right in against the champion and show off. Roth is an extremely versatile fighter who also has no issue going the distance so we expect this fight to be a real fight to the death battle between these two men. I personally feel it will not be a case of who can finish the other, but which man can outlast the other. That question will be answered – with many others about these two – Sunday night on PPV.

Prime-Time-Players Pushing to Win

In the prime of their life Evgeniy Malkin (17-6-1) faces Apollo Jackson (17-3-0) as these two prime-aged fighters go head-to-head

Malkin and Apollo’s paths have never crossed until now, neither fighter being in the same org until they joined Syn’. Both have had a solid start to life in Synchronicity with Malkin winning his only fight in a 5 round all-out war against long term rival Lance Templeton. Jackson is on a streak of 5 victories – including 3 finishes.

While neither man is scared to take the fight to the ground both men are more comfortable on their feet and/or in the clinch, so look for this fight to stay standing for the most part. Malkin may be more tempted to take the fight to the ground and change strategy but with his corner being very quiet in the lead up to this fight there is no way of knowing. Jackson has 12 (T)KO victories so it is likely if it does go down he’ll want to get back up or go for the Ground ‘n’ Pound. Whatever the case, we’re in for a hard hitting contest and either man could walk away with the W but we can be sure the ever popular Jackson will be welcomed to the arena a hero.

Featherweight fight to the finish

Is what is most likely to occur, when reigning champion Matt Miller defends against "The Justice" Mitch Heisenberg (35-21-1)

Champion Matt Miller arrived in Syn’ for one last big run at the tail end of 2013, looking to dominate in the Los Angeles based or the same way he had every other and he’s done just that, winning the title on his first night and taking all 5 Syn’ fights he’s been in the full distance. Mitch Heisenberg makes his debut in Syn’ off the back of several impressive performances with only 2 losses in his last 9 fights. With only one first round finish in the last 23 combined fights, this is going to be another title match, that’s has the potential to go all 5 rounds and still not have a clear victor.

These two men appear on card to be very evenly matched and with both receiving tailored training in their top private gyms, it’s obvious they’ll both be in tip top condition and have a great strategy going into this one. Bookmakers are going to have a hard time giving punters good odds on this one as it’s going to be tight. “The Justice” may not want to risk helping the fight the distance and putting in extra effort for the finish though, as Miller has won 16/21 fights that have gone to decision but we’ll see if he’s got what it takes, or if Miller can pull off another 5 round classic to go with the other 5.

Fight for Featherweight no.1 contender spot

The winner of Jan Zelenka (19-3-1) vs Derek "The Artist" Riggs (28-17-0) may put themselves in pole position to face Michael Patton for the title

Coming of the back of the loss is normally disheartening but for Jan Zelenka it really shouldn’t be, in his last fight out – a title match against Michael Patton – he dominated the champion for the first two rounds and held the third equal before the champion finally showed his class and scraped a TKO victory but Mr. Patton will be the first to say Jan Zelenka is the real deal. Zelenka will want to prove that again and earn another title shot. “The Artist” has had a solid start to his Syn’ career, gaining 4 wins out of 5, with his only loss being by unanimous decision.

For us here at Championship Press Association Jan Zelenka goes into this one a real favourite and is really unlucky not to be going into this fight being called the champ. Riggs is going to have to do a lot and hope Zelenka has taken a knock in confidence and lost some sharpness from that loss against Patton, but that may be a bit of a long shot.

Main Card

Roderick "The Hammer" Jenkins (13-5-0) knows he has a challenge in Royston

"The Titan" De Noteboom (36-16-1)

The ever popular “Hammer” will face off against the man they call “The Titan”. De Noteboom lost his first outing in Syn’, by unanimous decision against “The Hulk”. While Jenkins is making his debut but if recent form in BEEF is anything to go by, then we’re in for a hell of a fight. While De Noteboom has never won a fight by submission this may well be the first he might want to attempt it in, as Jenkins has the clear stand-up advantage with his impeccable striking and Muay-Thai skills.

If the fighters stay on their feet then I see this fight going in the favour of Jenkins with a finish but if De Noteboom can control the cage well and dictate the pace of the fight then he may be in with a chance. You’ve got to feel that if De Noteboom is going to take the win, he’s going to have to fight for the decision early on or capitalize with the ground and pound if he can take Jenkins down.

Leandro "Beastly" Alves (27-18-0) will face "Captain" Tsubasa J Champ (19-7-0) on Sunday Night

Both men in this fight will be flying in from their respective training camps in Montreal and Rio for this bout and both men will be looking to claim their first win in Syn’. Alves has fought twice before, losing out to Sumrall and Doug Graves, while J Champ comes to fight for Syn’ for the first time after a solid career in BEEF.

These two fighters are both very well rounded but in the small area’s where they lack, the other excels, with J Champ’s Muay Thai being the stronger but Alves will have a clear advantage if the fight goes to the ground. Many see this as turning into the classic Brawler vs Grappler match-up the majority of us love to see, but the question is who can take control of the fight early. I see this fight as a finish; it’ll just be interesting to see if on the ground or the feet. It may not be quiet main event quality but it’s a gem of a fight in its own right.

The Cold War comes to the Colossuseum

When "The Russian" Nikolai Radev (13-5-0) battles Michael "The Cyborg Slayer" Shanks (25-11-0)

If you were looking for a more evenly matched-up, well-rounded, strong match up on this card you have to be looking at the main event itself but where we expect the main event to go to the finish, this fight I personally can’t call. Both fighters have been so unpredictable and somewhat inconsistent in their recent fights, with some going down to the wire and a couple being finished in the first.

The other thing that makes this match up really stand out to me is the strong dislike the two competitors have for one and other. We may get a preview of what is to come at the weigh in’s this Saturday night before the big event Sunday. Both men will most likely be looking for the finish and, although neither of these men has a victory by submission, I feel it’ll be the fighter that adjusts his strategy best on the fly that’ll take the win so even that’s a possibility come fight night.

And what’s on the Undercard?

Jason "The Claw" Griffin (28-17-3) vs Charles "The Hammer" Martel (45-15-0)

“The Hammer” has had 13 fights in Syn’ and is one of the longest serving competitors of the company with an 8-5 record. He’s also seen as a sure bet by many of the fans, no matter his position on the card, to deliver a full performance well worth the ticket price as only one of his fights has finished before the third round. The former champion lost last time out though in a title match against bantamweight champion Jake Lamotta and decided to return to the featherweight division to face Jason “The Claw” Griffin.

Griffin is making his second appearance on Sunday for Syn’ and will be looking to impress his new bosses the way he has all his previous ones, until a unsuccessful run in Ascension. He was once a feared competitor but with a fresh start in Syn’ he’ll be looking to cause a stir amongst the Featherweight division once again, it’ll be interesting if low confidence, after only one win in five fights, will effect “The Claw” or if he can bounce back to defeat the Syn’ fan favourite Charles Martel.

"The Divine Weapon" Nino Blaze (33-13-0) vs Enrique "The Judge" Rizzo Jr (20-8-0)

Neither of these man have had quiet the edge needed since they both arrives (4 fights ago) as neither man displays a positive Syn’ record, Blaze 2-2 and Rizzo Jr. 1-3. The edge in this fight under more stable circumstances would be given to Rizzo, as he has slightly more skill in the ground game and these two competitors are equally matched on their feet. This fight doesn’t have a normal feel to it though, as the underdog Blaze is on something of a hot streak, claiming back to back victories in his last 2 outings for Syn’ but can Rizzo regain form to unsettle “The Devine Weapon” and find the kind of performances fans HAD been used to seeing from the fighter they call “The Judge”.

Alphons "The Cardinal" Draclau (27-7-1) takes on Steinar Sting (37-23-1)

This featherweight bout could actually be held at Bantamweight but the now the lightest division in martial arts has become defunct here at Syn’ fighters were given the choice to go elsewhere or bump up a division, “The Cardinal” chose to do just that, while Sting has gotten used to fighting above his weight already, it will be interesting to see how Draclau does as time progresses.

Another evenly matched fight we have here, with both men knowing how to vary their strategy to find a finish. Neither man is afraid to go to the ground or to stand and bang but some suspect Sting will be happier to use his slight weight advantage and take and hold the fight down as long as he can, until he finds a finish. Draclau will be happy to oblige but maybe would find more of an edge over his opponent if the fight stayed stood up or in the clinch. These two fighters open our PPV on Sunday, live at LA Memorial Colossuseum so It’ll be interesting to see how pumped they can get the fans early on in the night.

The card as a whole looks fantastic and top props have got to go to the staff at Synchronicity for not holding the title fights till Syn’ 300 and giving the fans an equally good show leading to the big one. As always Of the Night awards will be presented at the end of the evening and those are sponsored by Reaper Combatwear .We shall see you this Sunday with full coverage on PPV and a review by the following Tuesday to give you the latest scoop on the fallout from Syn’299!

Syn ' 299 Singular Duality – Review

On Sunday 11th May @ LA Memorial Colossuseum (Capacity of 93,607)

Synchronicity hosted it’s 299th weekly event this Sunday just past and it was a packed card as Syn gave us two title matches and three top 100 ranked P4P fighters in the world on one card. Read on to find out who the real winners and losers were as well as who went on to retain/become the Welterweight and Featherweight champions at the end of the night and who was able to make a name for themselves at the expense of their opponent.

The Welterweight Title Fight

Daniel "Ravishing" Roth (24-10-2) vs champion Sergiy Skylar (31-8-1)

As champion and challenger made their way to the cage, the contrasting look of focus, determination and mind-set was clear as the challenge – close friends with pro wrestler Shawn Michaels – came out to Sexy Boy dancing but the Champion Skylar came out as stern faced and controlled as ever.

The two men also had clear contrasting game plans as Roth came in looking to stand and bang but Skylar was having none of it taking Roth to the ground and then trying on the ground and pound. This was the theme of most of the fight with Skylar successful in all three of his takedown attempts. Skylar’s style may not have been the most aphetically pleasing but it certainly was effective, really testing the will and cardio of Roth. This lead to the finish when straight off the second round start he got his third take-down and proceeded with the same strategy as in the first – blowing off a submission attempt from Roth in the meantime – he eventually broke the guard of Roth, rocking him before proceeding to land some undefended shots that signalled it was all over for the official who stopped the bout.

After the announcement was made that Sergiy Skylar had won by TKO stoppage and retained his belt, a clearly emotional Skylar spoke directly to the Syn crowd thanking them for their on-going support, even going as far to credit them and the support they give to the success he has in the cage. A really genuine moment the fans appreciated post fight.

Co-Main Event

Evgeniy Malkin (17-6-1) vs Apollo Jackson (17-3-0)

If you are looking for a fight that pretty much had it all, this was the one, the co-main event of the night, Malkin vs Jackson. It was a match-up that really did live up to the billing as these two men took the fight the whole distance to a descision. The fight was back and forth and neither man allowed the other to take control in the slightest. It was a true classic and if you haven’t seen it, you should watch it on playback. As it went to the score cards with both men equal in every aspect the fight was ruled a draw, with the judge’s ruling it 29:29, 28:29, 29:28. The announcement of this led to a “One more round” chant from the sold out audience inside of the Collossusuem.

Featherweight Title Match-up

Champion Matt Miller (33-10-1) vs "The Justice" Mitch Heisenberg (35-21-1)

One of the most anticipated matches of the night was the fight between Champion Matt Miller and the man they call “The Justice” for the featherweight title. These men have both been on incredible hot streak with only 3 losses between them in 18 fights before Sunday night and it truly showed in their performance. The fight start with somewhat of a feeling out process on the feet with strikes from range occurring most, until Miller moved the fight up close in the clinch. Heisenberg may have been the aggressor in the fight but Miller was definitely happier when the fight was closer as he looked for a few takedowns. He got a crucial one in the second round as he took “The Justice” down and looked to press with ground and pound. The fight stayed their till the finish which occurred when Miller made it to the mount and began to rain down strikes rocking and then putting Heisenberg to sleep when the official had to step in to halt the contest giving Miller the TKO victory and retaining his title belt.

Main Card

Jan Zelenka (19-3-1) vs Derek "The Artist" Riggs (28-17-0)

The winner between Jan Zelenka and “The Artist” would seemingly be next in line to possibly have a shot at facing Michael Patton for the title but it would have to be a convincing victory to be seen as a real threat to Patton’s championship. Riggs came in and did just that putting on a fantastic performance taking the victory by TKO when he dominated Zalenka from start to finish landing strikes to just about every part of the Czech’s body and within 2 and a half minutes he had Zalenka defenceless up against the cage. If you are going to make a stake for a title fight against one of the top champions here in Syn that’ has got to be the way to do it in such dominating fashion. With 4 victories straight now for “The Artist”, I wouldn’t want to be the man in the way of number 5.

Roderick "The Hammer" Jenkins (13-5-0) vs Royston "The Titan" De Noteboom (36-16-1)

In what was one of the most lack lustre bouts not only on the card but seen in recent Syn history, “The Hammer” took a unanimous decision victory over Roston De Noteboom. Neither men showed what they were capable off today and on top of that both will be disappointed that they couldn’t provide a better fight. Part of it could be down to “The Titan”’s low morale and confidence from his baron spell but Jenkins will be the happier of the two providing us with an entertaining 30 second spell in which he cut De Noteboom open and threw some solid hands. It will be a fight for not only the fans to forget but also the fighters as they move on and hope to provide a better showing come the next time they are inside the cage.

When "The Russian" Nikolai Radev (13-5-0) vs Michael "The Cyborg Slayer" Shanks (25-11-0)

Another closely matched contest between the Russian and the Cyborg Slayer in what was billed as the “Cold War in the Cage” took place on Sunday. These two men came into the fight evenly matched on paper and as expect, in the cage, they were just as equal. Radev was arguably the better man on the night as he took the Majority Decision victory but the match-up could’ve easily gone the other way but Radev’s takedowns and cleaner strikes impressed the judges more than the heavy hitting of “The Cyborg Slayer”. Another full 15 minuet fight for the fans to enjoy here at the LA Memorial Colossuseum, they really did get more than their money’s worth tonight at Syn’299!

Prelims

Leandro "Beastly" Alves (27-18-0) vs "Captain" Tsubasa J Champ (19-7-0)

Alves vs J Champ saw the only undercard fight that we got to see a finish in and many saw it coming from the offset. Both men looked extremely focused coming in but the “Captain” had no answer for Leandro Alves’ take down ability or ground game as Alves pilled on the pressure over the two rounds of the fights duration and eventually Tsubasa J Champ could hold out no more as Alves put on a “Beastly” submission hold to take the victory. It wasn’t a pretty or entertaining fight but Alves seemed unfazed by this and was joyous in victory.

Jason "The Claw" Griffin (28-17-3) vs Charles "The Hammer" Martel (45-15-0)

All three of the opening three fights went to a decision with “The Claw” and “The Hammer” also running the full distance in another fast paced exciting bout. The first two rounds were extremely even and both men had a chance going into the third with Griffin possibly having the edge – but neither man seemingly wanted to leave it to chance as both came out looking to finish the other. Martel made the most of the third round cutting Griffin open with a great head kick that would’ve put some other opposition away for good but Griffin kept it close following that. As the fighters waited for the announcement of the judges scores there was a huge buzz around the arena as nobody knew which way it was going to go. The suspense was ended when it was announced that Griffin had won by unanimous decision (29:28, 29:28. 29:29). The solid performance from both men left some controversy in the eyes of the fans but this was dismissed by a very humble Martel who said post fight that “Griffin was the better man on the night” and deserved the victory.

"The Divine Weapon" Nino Blaze (33-13-0) vs Enrique "The Judge" Rizzo Jr (20-8-0)

This fight began like a ball of fire, with both me coming out swinging like madmen, busting each other open early on with some wild shots and at that point you’d be forgiven for think this’ll be over quick but both men settled more into the fight and it even ended up going the full distance to a decision. The two fighters had they been higher up on the card would most likely been looking at an “Of The Night” award as the fast paced stand-up action not only got the crowd interested but had them on their feet countless times. Blaze took the victory by unanimous decision but neither of these fighters will be viewed as a loser with the fans as they both left it all out there and the appreciation the fans had was clear – with a standing ovation for the two warriors as they left the arena.

Alphons "The Cardinal" Draclau (27-7-1) vs Steinar Sting (37-23-1)

“The Cardinal” was looking to make it three wins in a row when he took on Sting who was looking to bounce back to some stability. The fight itself was a good way to start the evening with the two combatants both looking to finish but unable to do so before the fight when to a majority decision victory for Draclau. While it wasn’t fight of the year quality it certainly was a solid fight in its own right and got the fans right into the card from the offset with both men near equal for the duration.

OF THE NIGHT Awards, Sponsored by Reaper Combatwear

*To Be Announced*

It was an overly impressive card from Synchronicity on Sunday evening and particular highlights were the title matches although one of the top fights of tonight which could put both competitors more into the public eye was the prelim match-up of Nino Blaze and Enrique Rizzo Jr. Neither man should go home disappointed from that fight as it was true fight of the night quality. A couple of disappointing fights tonight but they will be overshadowed by the class and the fact that this Friday coming is the 30tth Weekly Synchronicity event, Syn’300! We’ll see you their live in person or on Pay-Per-View!

Syn’300 – 4th Times a Charm

On Friday 16th May @ LA Memorial Colossuseum (capacity: 93,607)

Synchronicity comes to you for their “Official” 300th regular event, although it is not their 300th card it is still a special occasion and all on the card will look to impress and show promise for the future of the organization. With Syn’299 being a solid card, the fighters who will be participating in the Colossuseum come Friday night will be looking to push it that extra mile.

Middleweight (185lbs) Title Fight

Kostas Charalabous (29-6-0) v Dante Evangelisti (39-8-0) Champion

Dante Evangelisti Is one of the legends of Synchronicity and is a guarantee’d Hall of Famer upon retirement with the organization having been with the organisation since late 2010 and he has only got better with age. He is 6 fights unbeaten, wing and holding the title for the last 5 of those, does Charalabous have something in him that can bring a result we havn’t seen in a Evangelisti fight since the match up with Dee? That remains to be seen but on paper he may well do.

Charalabous is considered a phenomenal striker coming from a boxing background and has picked up the art of Muay-Thai to compliment his stand-up game nicely. He can also hold his own on the ground so it what has Fight of the Night written all over it and I for one, along with the millions of Syn fans across the world, cannot wait for this bout to begin. Synchronicity presents Charalabous vs Evangelisti for the title of Middleweight champion of the world!

Main Card

“Double A” Andres Aguinaldo (43-19-1) v “The Thing” Ben Grimm (29-7-1)

At the end of last year, “The Thing” Ben Grimm had been the number three Pound-for-Pound fighter in the world, he’s still a house hold name but after losing his heavyweight title he’s been on a relative slump of two straight losses. “Double A” (the former Super Heavyweight Champion) will be looking to make that three as he makes his second appearance at 265lbs after dropping down from 265lbs+ when he lost his title against current champion James Proudstar.

The two fighters are both looking to really kick boost the next stages of their career and I personally could see this being a title match for the Heavyweight title by the end of this year. These men are very evenly matched on their feet with the slight edge possibly going to “The Thing” Ben Grimm but Aguinaldo is one of the world’s best when it comes to the ground game. “Double A’s” BJJ is second to very few people on the planet, let alone in the sport and he’ll want to utilize this to get the win. It won’t be easy though as Grimm is world renowned for his take-down defence and ability to keep the fight standing and get the T/KO victory. It’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out and on any other card in the world; I think this fight would be closing the show, which shows the depth of talent on display here this coming Friday.

Hamid Zaferani (27-16-1) v “Gambler” Bad Idea (26-12-1)

In his debut for Syn “Gambler” Bad Idea had a great start to his time in the organisation when he beat Buzz Cloltran by Unanimous Decision and he’ll be looking to add to that with a victory over Zaferani. Hamid Zaferani is a man optimizes the phrase stand-up cardio machine, as he has got 18 wins by (T)KO and in his last 14 fights, only once has one of his fights not made it to the 3rd round. Zaferani will also be stacked with confidence coming into this one with his only loss in 6 fights being against the current Featherweight Champion Sergiy Skylar in what was a number one contenders match. If Zaferani can put Bad Idea away he could be in contention to be next in line for a shot at the title and revenge against Skylar.

For Bad Idea to take victory in this fight one would suspect he’d have to go to the ground as his BJJ is the only place he holds any kind of advantage over Zaferani, especially the deeper the fight goes as Idea has great cardio but it’s yet to be proven whether it’s on the same level as Zaferani’s or not just yet. It’s not an official contender elimination fight but it might as well be because the looser of this is going to fall drastically behind the pack that is chasing the current champ Skylar, both men need to bring their “A” game and go for a finish if they want to make a lot of noise.

Bantamweight Title Match

Champion “Raging Pitbull” Jake Lamotta (42-17-1) v Frank “Razor” Rizzo Jr (26-15-2)

This bantamweight title match will as always take part over 5 rounds of 5 minutes and looking at the champion’s record, I think we shall need every single minute of it with each second of this 25 minute fight being as crucial as the next in who will leave tonight crowned Syn Bantamweight Champion. This has the makings of a great all round fight, with Rizzo definitely favouring the stand and bang style while Lamotta is more happy to go where the fight takes him with 14 wins by (T)KO, 14 by Submission and the other 14 by decision I think it’s clear to see why he’s confident that confident.

“Razor” enters the fight in great form, only losing one of the last 7 bouts he’s been involved with, finishing three on them by KO – most recently knocking off the brash Kid Torres at Syn’298 for the second time this year. Formally the number 1 in his weight class in this world, Lamotta will be going into this fight knowing he’ll be in for a challenge, particularly as it’s his first defence since recapturing the belt at Supernova V. This fight alone is reason to order this PPV if you can’t get a ticket for this sold out event but to consider it’s alongside the Middleweight Title Fight and 8 other top class match-up, this card is a must have.

Undercard

“The Longsnapper” Patrick Mannelly (20-6-1) v Shawn Kronburger (37-19-0)

This fight has the feel of an “anything you can do, I can do better” one up-manship contest between the debutant and the former champion. Kronburger, 37 years of age, is the former champion and has slipped slightly after losing his belt at the first defence to Skylar, then again to Yang Tao, after going on a 5 fight winning streak which saw him become champion. He’ll be hoping to get a strong result against new comer Mannelly to even stand a chance of ever regaining the title he once briefly held. “The Longsnapper” Patrick Mannelly comes in after spells at, current Syn owners previous organisation, BFE and UVT, in which he gained a reputation for being able to go a fair distance only ever having one fight stopped in the first round (a win over Chew Bacca).

How the fight will go will depend on the will and determination of the fighters more than the skills of the respective men, on paper Mannelly edges it but Kronburger’s experience doesn’t count for nothing and it more than makes up for the VERY slight edge in skill. This fight will be won by the fighter that goes out and looks for a finish, if both men hold back and let it go to a decision – well – I don’t think it’s something the fans want to see, or either man should want to risk.

"mēpisukaryā" Itagaki Fukuzawa (16-4-0) v Chauncey “Nightcrow” Silvestre (31-16-1)

Chauncey Silvestre must be coming into this one thinking, “What do I have to do to beat Matt Miller” because other than a controversial split decision, Miller is the only person to have beaten “Nightcrow” and he’s now done it three times. The former champion has been impressive in every other outing and will know he most likely won’t see another title shot come his way for as long as Miller holds the belt but a win here would be a good way to kick start the regain campaign that is chasing the Syn Featherweight title. Fukuzawa comes into this fight as the youngster with a lot to prove, having won his Syn Debut he got off to a good start but will be looking to show it wasn’t a one-time thing.

These two men have very contrasting styles as Fukuzawa always wants the finish, claiming 13 (T)KO’s in his 16 career wins, while Silvestre is happy to control the fight and if he gets an opportunity take it but playing safe for the decision seems to be his style. Will Fukuwaza be less aggressive now he is in a bigger organisation or does he stick to the same plan that got him this far. And if he does, will it be a live by the sword, die by the sword mentality or is he open to change. This bout has a lot of questions surrounding it and it’ll be interesting to see them answered.

"The Freight Train" Cain Colbert (34-22-0) v Jobe Nkemakolam (34-14-0)

The two fighters are incredibly evenly matched, with both – on paper – appearing a carbon copy of the other, they will have to work hard to find their opponents weakness and break them down. “The Freight Train” has been training with Philly Dawgz MMA and will have been working hard 1-on-1 with his coaching staff and corner men to be full prepared for the cardio fanatic that is Nikemakolam. Jobe Nikemakolam – out of the Philippines – has seen 12 of his wins come from unanimous decision and only 2 of his last 13 fights have finished in the first but on both occasions he was KO’d. He’ll be looking to prove he has a chin of stone and not of glass in this one. This fight could well and truly go either way and these two men will have to be ready to go the distance if needed, as neither will want to go early. Will they approach it with the same styles, will they want to stand and trade blows or take it too the floor? The only thing I am confident is we won’t see a submission finish with that happening only 4 times (win or lose) in the entire history of these two fighters careers.

Prelims

Rico “El Chupacabra” Dominguez (24-11-3) v James Mayer De Rothschild (32-16-2)

De Rothschild his a renowned BJJ practitioner and is seen as one of the world’s top take down specialists – attempting an average of 2 takedowns per fight during his career – but once he’s there, unlike many, he is not one dimensional. De Rothschild has a fantastic technical ability, improving position and locking the submission in if the opportunity presents itself but if it doesn’t that doesn’t faze him, as he’s great at the ground and pound too. The opposition Dominguez may have a slight advantage in the stand-up and he will/should want to keep the fight standing for the duration as I don’t think he has the ability to stop the BJJ Black Belt from having his way if it goes to the ground. Both man has won their last three fights for Syn, so it’ll be interesting to see which man can make it four straight and bring a buzz around themselves! Dominguez vs De Rothschild, who’s got it in them!

Indica Jatlier (21-6-0) v Keke “Hammer” Pummel (21-13-0)

When the Sweed Indica Jatier joined Syn he impressed many people inside the company along with the fans of it when he took two unanimous decision victories againse Sed El Bunt and Jase Newson in his first two fight. He is coming off the back of a loss against former ONI champion, Ben Stone, but Jatier will be looking to glaze over that with strong showing against Keke Pummel. “The Hammer” as he is affectionately known by all his fans, will be looking to impress with a debut victory but he will have to be wary of the ground game of Jatier. His 13 (T)KO victories are nothing to sniff at though as Pummel will look to do what his name says and stand and bang with the tough Sweed. Unlike a lot of fights on the card I don’t think this one will go the distance as – whether win or lose – the “Hammer” has only been to one decision in the last 7 fights, so keep sharp and ready to see one of these men go down early.

“The True King” Viserys Targaryen (20-11-1) v Holden “Aerial” James (27-20-1)

The true kind will be looking to utilize his strong ground game and gain another submission as he looks to stop his recent slide of4 losses in 6 fights and pick up a victory against stand up, Armenian powerhouse Holden James, who has been on his own slide as of late, losing his last 3 fights straight. Confidence will be low with both of these fighters but if James can come out the gates strong I could see this being over before the third round is needed, if the fight goes long then Targaryen has the edge, with being able to pull out several decision victories. It should be an exciting one for the fans who will be hoping to see the finish, the main question is can James land a few big hits to rock Targaryen or can the “True King” take it the distance or even counter with a submission to take the victory.

This card has shapped up to be something really special, and it’s just what the Syn fans deserve. A top class card on one of the biggest nights in the history of the company, where it celebrates its 300th weekly card, that truly reperesents the quality of not just the organisation but also the roster and the fan base. As always the “Of The Night” awards will be brought to you by Reaper Combatwear and it is always a tough job for the panel that decides those awards but this Friday, they will have an exceptionally difficult job. We can wait to see you live on PPV or in person on Friday 16th May and what this great pool of talent will have to offer.

Syn’300 – 4th Times a Charm

On Friday 16th May @ LA Memorial Colossuseum (capacity: 93,607)

Synchronicity brought to the MMA fans of the world Syn’300 this past weekend, with a stacked card in celebration of Syn’s 300th numbered event was a card stacked with talent and even included two title matches as Evangelisti faced Charalabous and the “Raging Pitbull” defended his title against Rizzo Jr. With much more packed on the card, read the review below if you didn’t have chance to catch the PPV last Friday (16th May).

Middleweight (185lbs) Title Fight

Kostas Charalabous (29-6-0) v Dante Evangelisti (39-8-0) Champion

Dante Evangelisti came into this bout as one of the most popular names and already a guaranteed Synchronicity Hal of Famer but that would not be on his mind tonight, as he knew he’d have to prove his worth against an incredibly promising opposition in Kostas Charalabous. With both of these fighters’ reputations the fans had hoped for 5 rounds of full blown war, and on Friday night, that’s exactly what they got.

It seemed early as if Charalabous was going to stop the bout before it had really started when he cut Dante with a great counter jab but the cut didn’t faze the 3-time world champion and he fought through it for the remaining 4 rounds following. This fight was contested right the way through, fought till the end, which each round being as close to the last. Action so quick and intense than it is a wonder how the athletes continued to go and give it their all, leaving the fans on their feet for large durations of the bout.

When the call to finish the final round came, the two men were met with a rapturous applause, like an explosion from the Syn faithful, who had crammed 92,000 of them into the Colossueseum and this bout alone had been well worth the fee of entry. To the fans it didn’t matter which man took the victory as they would’ve met an announcement either way with the same reaction they had to the finish of the fight, but to the two fighters it did and as it was announced that Charalabous had taken the fight by split decision (49:47, 49:47, 47:48), the emotion of both men was clear as they embraced after a fantastic fight. Post-match we at CPA caught up with a clearly disappointed Dante Evangelisti who for the first time seemed struggled for words could only say “Damn”. What a way to close the event and end the evening, as well as lead Syn into the future with a new Middleweight Champion, Kostas Charalabous!

Main Card

“Double A” Andres Aguinaldo (43-19-1) v “The Thing” Ben Grimm (29-7-1)

Near the top of the card is the bout featuring two incredibly popular fighters in the Tycoon world and with both boasting positive records since arriving in Syn (5-2 and 3-2 respectively) it’s clear to see why it has a position so high up the card above our Bantamweight Title Match. “Double A” and “The Thing” both came into this one like houses on fire with Aguinaldo want to regain his rep so he can have another shot at the Syn title and Grimm wanting to gloss over his second loss in the company.

The fight itself was one of nine bouts that reached the third round or further as they took the two men took it to a decision. Not too dissimilar to the main event of the evening the bout started off hot capturing the fans attention early as Grimm landed a solid hand to cut Aguinaldo open but much like the Main Event of the evening the cut played no real part after that first round. Both men were evenly match throughout and it is a showing that both will be impressed with. As they went into the third round at a round a piece on the scorecards, “Double A” will be disappointed that he couldn’t score any takedowns as this may have cost him the fight, with Grimm able to take the third and final round to be announced victor by Unanimous Decision. Grimm as always took time to thank his army of fans, going on to say the fans make the fight and he’ll deliver the impressive performances as long as they deliver the support.

Hamid Zaferani (27-16-1) v “Gambler” Bad Idea (26-12-1)

Undefeated since his debut, Bad Idea has been on a tear in Synchronicity and has been causing a bit of a stir in the Bantamweight division, with his match following the result of the Bantamweight title match both men went in motivated knowing they could well be in a good position when it comes to who may well a shot at the title. The former number three Bantam fighter on the planet would have to be wary though as Zaferani has the tank to take a fight to the finish.

Unsurprisingly that’s just where this fight ended up, as Zaferani and Bad Idea fought for the entire 15minutes set for their bout and both men looked like they won’t to go to the finish showing great promise for their chances in a title match-up or main event. Ultimately it was “Gambler” Bad Idea who took a dominant unanimous decision victory and gave his opposition little chance, controlling from start to finish, taking Hamid Zaferani down to the mat when he pleased and not letting him more than arms-length away. Idea now goes three fights undefeated and must sure be calling for a shot at the winner off……

Bantamweight Title Match

Champion “Raging Pitbull” Jake Lamotta (42-17-1) v Frank “Razor” Rizzo Jr (26-15-2)

This bantamweight title match was being slightly over shadowed by the fact “Gambler” Bad Idea was following afterwards but that made both fighters even more determined to come out and perform, with champion Lamaotta displaying his disgust saying he’d send the fans home with his fight being the one to remember. Lamotta may not have deliver in the way of retaining but him and Rizzo Jr were strong contenders for fight of the night in a match-up that saw “Razor” take the title by TKO victory.

The fight was easily one of the most entertaining of the night and like the main event later on had the fans going wild for the onslaught of action that was on-display from these two top class athletes. After an incredibly close first round, which neither fighter really edged out, Rizzo Jr began to take control of the fight in the second with Lamotta only beginning to hold his own in the final of the minute with a well-timed counter-take-down. As the fight entered the third, the fans were on edge, wanting to see a finish to the fight after the close calls of the previous two rounds and “Razor” delivered a huge right hook leaving the “Raging Pitbull” wobbly legged. Lamotta could do nothing as Frank “Razor” Rizzo Jr followed up with several more hooks and as Lamotta fell helplessly to the canvas, the official dived in to protect Lamotta from taking any further beating awarding “Razor” with not only the TKO win but also his first title for near on 2-years.

Undercard

“The Longsnapper” Patrick Mannelly (20-6-1) v Shawn Kronburger (37-19-0)

The quickest fight of the night usually lacks the value of a 3 round all-out war but the battle between “The Longsnapper” Patrick Mannelly and Shawn Kronburger didn’t lack anything in the slightest, as it may have been the shortest but it certainly was one of the most intense and entertaining behind the main event.

In its lone solitary round, the fight was fast paced and kept their fans on the edge of their seats (or for a large amount of people, even out of them) with the two men throwing everything but the kitchen sink at each other. After two minutes the fans could see the finish coming, with Kronburger smelling blood off a right jab counter, which he followed up with a incredible upper cut, that left the Syn faithful wondering how Mannelly wasn’t lights out. With Mannelly on the floor, Kronburger was having no risk of any ground game and waved a rocked Mannelly back to his feet. Seconds late it happened again, “The Longsnapped” knocked off his feet to the ground after Kronburger gave a big right hand and again allowed the fight to continue not diving down upon the clearly dazed opponent.

The finish finally came in amazing style when Shawn threw another big right hand that sent Mannelly to the mat, but this time Mannelly rolled right through in an acrobatic style, landing on his feet against the cage. This was the moment Kronburger had wanted as he went in throwing several big punches, leaving Mannelly defenceless and needing the official’s protection that came instantly. It appeared during the fight Kronburger could’ve taken the fight at any point from 2 minutes in the fight onward as he ragdolled “The Longsnapper” in incredible fashion, before taking the TKO victory. That was fight the fans really needed to bring them to live for the main card, what a bout!

"mēpisukaryā" Itagaki Fukuzawa (16-4-0) v Chauncey “Nightcrow” Silvestre (31-16-1)

The most notable difference between these two competitors is the difference in age between Chauncey Silvestre and Itagaki Fukuzawa, with Silvestre being 8 years the Japanese’ senior at the age of 34. Silvestre continued to struggle in this fight, after his stuttering career following the disappointment of losing to Matt Miller three times in title fights. He was hoping to bounce back against a hot young rookie in Fukuzawa.

The fight went the distance with both fighters playing their equal part in the fight, although in most people’s eyes Fukuzawa was leading going into the third. The corner of the “Nightcrow” could be heard encouraging him to press and be more aggressive as they may need the finish and with only 3 minutes to go after another round being edged by Itagaki, it was clear this was the case. Silvestre was pressing, with a solid take down when Fukuzawa managed to sweep into the guard and this was bad news for Silvestre as he eventually broke the guard to get into mount and land some ground and pound. With 20 seconds left in the round a big hand from the Japanese rocked Silvestre and it was all over as the official dived between the two competitors to stop any permanent damage being done as Fukuzawa reigned shots down on a lifeless Silvestre.

"The Freight Train" Cain Colbert (34-22-0) v Jobe Nkemakolam (34-14-0)

This was the fight that set about giving us the four finishes of the card in a row, when Jobe Nkemakolam came back from an early battering, after being knocked-down and cut by a huge head kick from “The Freight Train”. Colbert couldn’t capitalize of this opportunity to finish his Filipino opposition and he’ll regret this as within minutes Nkemakolam was returning the favour. The victory came by TKO in favour of the Filipino grappler when he knocked Colbert down to the mat and followed immediately with a series of punches before the official could dive in to end the bout. Not as exciting as the Mannelly vs Kronburger later in the night but this fight was definitely appreiciated none the less by the LA audience.

Prelims

Rico “El Chupacabra” Dominguez (24-11-3) v James Mayer De Rothschild (32-16-2)

Evenly spread between time on the ground and standing up, squaring off, these two fighters took the fight the whole distance. It was an evenly fought fight while both competitors were on their feet but as soon as De Rothschild landed a take down and the fight went to the mat he was always in control and unless Dominguez could get a finish, De Rothschild was never going to lose. Winner by Unanimous Decision (27:30) – James Mayer De Rothschild.

Indica Jatlier (21-6-0) v Keke “Hammer” Pummel (21-13-0)

When Jatlier and Pummel met the fans knew they were in for one hell of a fight and the fighters really gave it their all. Although there were no tears, their definitely was a lot of sweat and blood in this one, with both men being busted open. In the end their could only be one winner and Pummel edged the decision 28:29 to take the win. Both men will have earned not only a lot of respect from their peers for this fight but also the fans, keep an eye on these two men.

“The True King” Viserys Targaryen (20-11-1) v Holden “Aerial” James (27-20-1)

This was a really solid fight to open the card with and “The True King” and “Aerial” both fought hard to take the fight the distance – a re-occurring theme on this card – as well as provide the fans with a sense that this would be a solid show. “The True King” Viserys Targaryen won the bout by Unanimous Decision (29:28) after winning the first and second rounds, with James pushing in the third knowing he needed a finish but not quiet being able to grab one. A lot of heart was shown by both men and they’ll be looking to take from this fight into the future, particularly the victor, Targaryen.

A fantastic show again from Synchronicity and a great response from the fans, with a near full attendance live and over 320,000 watching live on PPV from home. They were all treated to their money’s worth with 8 fights reaching the 3rd round or further and 6 of which going to decision. Fight on the Night will be an incredibly difficult choice but not as difficult as Submission of the Night (shockingly in 10 fights there was not a single submission finish)! It’ll be interesting to see just where the now former Middleweight Dante Evangelisti goes from here, but one thing is for sure, he’ll always have the fans backing. The 300th weekly event from Synchronicity lived up to the bill and we’ll be looking forward to more in the future, we’ll see you next Saturday (24th May) for Syn’301!

Syn’301 – Preview

Live on PPV on Saturday 24th May @ LA Memorial Colossuseum (93,607)

Synchronicity brings you Syn’301 live from the LA Memorial Colossuseum infront of a potential 90,000+ MMA fans and they’ll be in for a real treat, with two title matches and an overly stacked card which will surely get the fans on their feet screaming.

Light-Heavyweight Title Fight

Emitting” Light Diode (18-0) v Devin “Furious” Styles (23-7) *Champion*

Undefeated in his career thus far Diode has been on a tear through the MMA world and has been a champion in every promotion he’s had at least 3 fights at so far. He could continue that theme when he faces a man who had the chance to become the only double champion in Syn, Devin “Furious” Style.

Styles had the chance at the end of last month to become a double champion, holding both the WelterWeight and Light Heavyweight titles, had he have beaten Syn legend, Dante Evangelisti. He couldn’t manage this and although his disappointment was clear, the challenge of defending two belts would have been astronomical even for a competitor of Styles level. Styles will look to bounce back off the unfortunate loss and do something nobody has yet to do, beat this unbeaten upstart Diode to retain his title.

While Style’s style will be fairly predictable as he looks to finish his opponent by knockout – as he has done a whopping 19 times out of 23 victories – his opponents will be a little more unpredictable. Light Diode has a wider range of ability and would most likely struggle to get a great wrestler like Style to the floor, but if he did, would style manage to prevent this BJJ Black Belts holds and submission attempts? It’s going to be a struggle and Styles will want to keep the fight on his feet, although let’s not be mistake, Diode can more than hold his own their too. This should be a great bout and we’ll be looking to see a finish as these men have only been to 10 combined decisions between them.

Heavyweight Title Fight

*Champion* “The Emperor” Genghis Khan (18-3-0) v Brick “No Air” Tires (18-6-1)

The other title fight of the night, is the co-main event and for the Heavyweight Title when Genghis Khan defends his title against Tires. Khan has been on a real roll winning 4 in succession before this bout and will be looking to make his first successful defence after beating Ben Grimm for the title on his second fight night in Syn. Tires on the other hand will be making his 11th appearance for Syn and this will be his first title fight, after impressing in his last two victories against former champion DeAngelo Kenner and Kyle Carlton.

If one thing is for sure about the bout on Saturday, is that going in these two men could not be more evenly matched in terms of skill and popularity, the only major difference between the two is Khan is slightly taller and weighs approximately 19lbs less at natural weight. If you’re looking for a fight with a finish, this is the fight to watch also, with both men loving to trade blows and look to knock their opponents block off – sharing 32 (T)KO victories between them. This fight will have the attention of many coming in and on any other card in the world these two men would easily be considered the main event, which is a testament to the depth of the Syn roster.

The Main Card

“Kamelot” Gunmetal Grey Ii (16-1) v Musashi "Kamikaze" Kato (19-7)

This bout really should be labelled battle of the future as these two young fighters (both aged 29) really do appear to be the future of Synchronicity, with both men arriving with impressive records. Before his debut, a loss @ Supernova to now champion Kostas Charalabous, Musashi Kato was undefeated in 12 professional fights on his way to the Syn main roster. His opponent on Saturday night will be making his debut to a very similar story having only lost one professional fight in his career and on a current 10-fight unbeaten streak, Gunmetal Grey Li will be looking to impress the Syn fans the way he did of organisations of his past.

The two men are almost as evenly matched as our title match in the heavyweight division tonight but some say Grey Li has the edge going into this one but some argue that he does not have the experience of going the distance and has yet to prove he has stellar “Cage Cardio”, unlike his opposition Kato who has gone the three (or even five rounds) and come out victorious 10 times by decision – all of which unanimous! The way I see it is Grey will need to put Kato away early or it could come back to bite him, with Kato having more experience deep in the end of rounds.

“The Creep” Fink McIllhenny (20-5-1) v Rick “Fury” Ross (25-14-0)

Two more fighters making their debuts tonight are Texan raised Frink McIllhenny and British great Rick Ross. McIllhenny left BEEF, undefeated and champion of their lightweight division, to join Synchronicity and prove his true talent and it’ll be tested heavily against Ross who will bring the “Fury” to the fight as he looks to prove it was the right decision by Syn owner Dark Soul to sign him from TTFC after a up and down time there.

The fight itself will receive quite a bit of hype and build up but neither man has been drawn into it refusing to make any comments of their opposition heading into this one. The way a lot of people see it as these two men will want to fight on their feet moving in and out of the clinch but if it does go to the ground McIllhenny will hold the advantage, although with a lack of submission victories to show, his opponent Ross won’t be too threatened and they may well both me looking for KO of the Night award come the end of this one.

Leif "Half Sack" Nygard (27-12) v Hektor Troy (24-11)

A very evenly matched fight between two men who are both coming off the back of losses and both could have to consider themselves lucky as they have missed a fight each recently, due to travel complications causing no contests. Both seem legitimately grateful to Synchronicity own Dark Soul for the opportunity to prove their worth and earn back the respect of the fans after their respective incidents but it’ll be interesting to see which fighter excels and grabs the moment. This fight has the potential to go the distance as both competitors have solid tanks and steady jaws, although some fans are putting their money where their mouth is and calling a TKO victory. Odds of a submission win are astronomical as both men have never won by submission.

Undercard

Alexander Lansing (18-11-1) v Andres “Bolo” Machete (20-10-1)

A fight between two Syn cage veterans is what will occur between Lansing and Machete on Saturday, with Lansing going in the favourite for this one. Lasing has amassed a record of 4-4-1 in Syn and has been trying to get a run on, while “Bolo” currently holds a split even record of 5-5. Machete has had two title shots which he failed to capitalize on and since then has been struggling to maintain any run also, losing his last 3 fights straight, Lansing will look to make that four on the night.. Alexander Lansing has the potential to be one of the more versatile fighters in Synchronicity as a BJJ red belt and an excellent striker the man can do it both on the ground and on his feet, so it’ll be interesting to see where he tries to get the beating on Andres Machete in this one. I see Lansing controlling the fight, but he’ll need to Be On the Look Out for an explosion from Machete that could result in a (T)KO victory for the Philippine.

“I am” The Sparring Bot (22-10-1) v “The Cardinal” Alphons Draclau (26-7-1)

The bantamweights are up on the main card at Syn’301 as Bot faces Draclau only three weeks after Dralau last thought (a win over Stiener Sting). Both men come into this one hot off the back of big wins, but especially Draclau who will be looking for his fourth in succession. The fight itself is expected to be a back and forth contest taken to the last round as both these men have a reputation for being cardio monsters that can really go the distance. I couldn’t disagree as I see this one going to a decision and hopefully the fans will be in for a real treat as these guys look to go three top class rounds.

Prelims

Gabriel Gzrel (28-12) v El "Chesperito" Chavo (19-12)

Neither of these two men are big fans of letting fights go to a decision and normally they both love to stand and bang with their opponent, trading blows till neither competitor in the cage can stand or stay in consciousness. This fight you wouldn’t, and quite frankly shouldn’t, expect anything else as these two are expected to go to war and fight for a finish. The only question you could ask, and every time Gzrel is in a fight we ask this, is should Chavo attempt to take down the former GAMMA man, and look to make him tap for both Chavo’s first submission victory. It’s obviously something easier said than done though, as Gzrel, despite a notably poor ground game, has never been made to tap out and you’d have to say with this young mans confidence, I don’t see this fight being any different

Tony Tauno (23-18-0) v Roberto “GARC” Garcia (26-15-2)

On paper this bout seems about finishing before being finished for Tony Tauno, the 36-year-old veteran will be concerned that over his last 5 bouts, he has been TKO’d 4 times and in every fight he has been rocked or cut in the first round, if not both but he did take a victory in the dying seconds of the 2nd round in his last fight against Rick Reunt in his Syn debut. Garcia will be looking to expose what he calls “Tauno’s glass chin” and put him to sleep as he has done with his opponents in his last two victories. Fans are all thinking – or at least hoping – one thing, whoever gets the victory, may also be receiving a KO of the night bonus too.

"Double Double" Tim Horton (16-12) v Elvis "Young Freak" Ronan (18-10)

Calgary’s Tim Horton is the ultimate submission guy, with 13 victories via submission out of 16 it’s clear to see where he’ll be looking to take this fight. His opponent on Saturday the 24th will very much want to avoid it turning into a grapple fest, as Polands, Poznan boom squad, Elvis Ronan, will be looking to stand and strike against his opponent. Ronan has amassed 18 victories and 13 of them have come via (T)KO, so fans can rest assure, they will be in for a true classic to open proceedings at the weekends event as a thoroughbred striker will face off against a ground game specialist.

Synchronicity treats its fans to two more title fights on this card and not only that, it packs the rest of the card with top fights. One that’s particularly caught our eye here at Championship Press Association is the match up of “The Creep” Fink McIllhenny v Rick “Fury” Ross, as the Yank and the Brit will be looking to impress the crowds and we’re used to seeing them go all out to do so in their debuts for Syn. This should be another great night for Synchronicity and it’s fans and we hope to see you their live in person or watching on PPV come Saturday night!

Syn’302 – Preview

Coming to you live on PPV from the LA Memorial Colossuseum (capacity 93,607) on Saturday 31st May

As we look forward to when Synchronicity will bring you their three-hundred and second weekly show live on PPV, we take a closer look at the fighters and match-ups that fill the card as 20 fighters in 10 top, world class fights give it their all to become the best. Another stacked card with 2 title fights is unlikely to disappoint so we’ll start there.

Lightweight Title Fight

*Champion* Michael "Nuts of Wonder" Patton (46-15-1) vs Derek "The Artist" Riggs (29-17-0)

The champion Michael Patton comes into this fight one of the hottest properties in the world of MMA today, he is currently (as of 26/5/14) the number 2 Lightweight fighter on the planet and the number 14 P4P fighter out their according to the World MMA Tycoon – the worlds governing body – rankings. His opponent, British journeyman, Derek “The Artist” Riggs, has been across the globe competing and earned forced way into the Synchronicity lightweight title pitcher with 4 straight wins against tough competition. This will be a big fight for both men as Patton will be looking to prove he is a deserving champion after losing against Solovyev in a non-title fight after winning the belt by defending it for the third time.

The fight should be an even contest with both men looking to finish, although I feel the champion goes into the fight with a slight advantage of being able to be more versatile. Both men can wrestle well but Patton’s BJJ may be a class above Riggs so that will be a large factor to play in, particularly with the impressive RNC win in Patton’s last fight. The stand-up will be the decider and which man can be more clinical as this is where they are evenly matched. If Patton starts to control the cage when they are on their feet I see no way for Riggs to take it, while If “The Artist” starts landing some big shots Patton may be able to take the fight to the ground for a change of pace. It’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out and it is deservedly our main event of the evening. The number 2 and the number 14, in the world, going toe-to-toe in this one ladies and gentlemen, it should be a classic!

Welterweight Fight for the Belt

Yang Tao (30-10) vs Sergiy Sklyar (32-8-1) *Champion*

The other match-up on the card with title implications is that between Chinese challenger Yang Tao and the Ukrainian Champion Sergiy Skylar. Tao has been on a in recent weeks after settling into Syn, picking up three wins on the bounce to earn his title shot and Tao will be looking to make it four against Skylar despite going in as underdog. Skylar has already had an illustrious career before he reached Syn but one he was here, he turned that into a potential Hall of Fame worthy one. In his 8 fights in Synchronicity, Skylar has won all bar one of them, after winning the title on his first night in the organisation his only loss has been to former champion Clotran. Skylar came back in phenomenal fashion winning his last 4 fights straight and he’ll be looking for his second title defence in a row on Saturday to be successful.

Skylar should take control of this one and it will take a big effort from Tao to beat the current number 5 in his weight class (a ranking that many feel should be much high) but if anybody can do it, it’ll be Yang Tao. Expect this one to finish from a standing position or to go the distance as these men combined have picked up 29 (T)KO’s and 32 Decision finished – with the only submission victory being from Skylar over half a year ago. This bout has fight of the night written all over it and we here at Championship Press Association just hope it lives up to that!

Syn’299 Rematch

Apollo Jackson (17-3-1) vs Evgeniy Malkin (17-6-2)

We here at Championship Press Association have previously covered this fight, when the two men faced off at Syn’299. On that occasion the fight was so closely contested that it resulted in a draw after the 15 minutes were up and there’s no reason to believe we should expect anything else from these two great, evenly matched warriors. The most bemusing thing about the draw these two men had last time around was that it was Malkin’s 2nd draw in three fights – with his debut in Syn being a rematch between him and Lance Templeton after their draw in another organisation. In most circumstances when a draw is awarded it is hugely controversial but in the last bout between the two it was received largely by agreement from the fans as there was nothing between the men – with chants of “1 more round” even breaking from the audience wanting to see a decider then and there.

The Man from Down Under comes Up Top Stateside

Dragon Slayer (20-7-1) vs Damon "Pretzel" Pierce (32-18)

Damon Pierce comes into this bout on an incredible 7 fight winning streak and will be looking to make that 8, as his opponent from New Zeland will be looking to “slay” the “Pretzel” and take the victory to take his Synchronicity record to 6-3. Last time out Dragon Slayer beat Hektor Troy to stop a sliding streak of losses which had amounted to two and he’ll want to make sure he utilizes his advantage in the striking department to KO Pierce, take the win and keep his momentum rolling. Pierce on the other side of the cage will be staring on unfazed and confidence in his abilities to deliver when he needs to, taking the fight to the ground where he holds a strong advantage over every man on the Syn roster and grab another submission victory to take his tally to 16. He truly is a BJJ king and is by far one of the most impressive fighters on the ground at this level.

The Heart of the Bahama’s takes on the Serbian (MMA) King

A J Hearts (28-9) vs Zoran Miloshevich (27-14)

Another closely matched fight on paper between two all-rounders in Hearts and Miloshevich, with the only majory difference being in Hearts wrestling ability, the former collegiate grappler will look to control the fight and if Miloshevich’s striking gets too much (as it has done for 19 opponents he’s KO’d) then he’ll look to take the fight to the ground and slow the pace. Miloshevich will not have this luxury of a “B-plan” but the 34-year-old veteran will feel he won’t need it, as the confidence he has in hands is massive and alongside that. Even if the fight does get to the ground Hearts will have to be careful as Zoran has strong reputation for being able to counter into submissions and lock them in tight.

Will Gods Work Help us see a Finish Tonight

"God's Worker" Jonah Sumrall (18-6) vs Alfonso Lopez (16-5)

Sumrall with be praying to his god that he can get back to winning ways after 2 losses and 1 NC (due to missing location after poor weather prevented him arriving at the arena) in his last 4 bout , while his opponent, Alfonso Lopez, will be hoping that he can continue to see himself on the rise, taking back-to-back wins after a three fight period without a win prior to beating Doug Graves at Supernova V.

Neither man is keen on a decision finish – with a combined 4 wins by decisions – so fans should be looking forward to seeing an exciting and explosive finish to this fight with no need to the judge’s to get involved. Both competitors will be keen to trade blows and fans are hoping they will do so not needing to go to ground as these two phenomenal strikers face off. While both Sumrall and Lopez haven’t verbally promised anything, their mannerisms and reports of training practice say we are in for a slug fest, it should be a good one, so tune in on PPV to watch.

Undercard

Sergei "El Fenómeno” Kharitonov (19-8-0) v J “Face” Breaker (48-29-1)

The final fight before the main card is between two fighters who are both at crossroads in their careers as they both come in off the back off losses and as time goes by, neither man is getting any younger – particularly Breaker who is now 40. Both men will be looking to impress in this fight and show they are deserving of higher ranked opposition and a potential title shot in the future. We could be seeing the beginning of the end of J’s career, as if he loses tonight it’ll be his third straight and he’ll remain un-victorious in Syn. Kharitonov will look to show his debut victory was not a fluke and he can get the job done following his hard loss against Freyr in the first round. If one thing is for sure, it’s that these men need a win. And they need it in impressive finishing fashion.

Thor Berserk (20-10) v Charles “The Hammer” Martel (46-15-0)

Unfortunately the previous, and only, time I’ve written on a fight involving Charles “The Hammer” Martel was in his previous bout where he did not live up to his billing as former champion and the fans will be hoping he does this time around. Thor Berserk has never not been to the final round of a fight since joining Synchronicityafter a spell in the Canadian Fight Championship and has looked impressively durable if nothing else despite only taking 2 wins. These two fighters may want to finish but this has a decision all over it!

Mr Bronze (25-15-0) v Kaoklai Khanomtom (30-11-3)

Evenly matched are the two men that face on in this one and a lot are expecting this to go to the wire, with Khamomtom having gone the distance 9 times in his last 11 fights and Bronze 6 in his last 8. Bronze is seen to have the advantage in this one as the two men are evenly matched up on the feet but if it goes to the ground Bronze is the better BJJ player and will look to capitalize (to earn only his third submission win ever!).

Makao Matsumoto (23-16-1) v “Captain” Tsubasa J Champ (19-8)

The opener to the card and first up will be the match-up of two of the new boys to Synchronicity, as Matsumoto makes his debut and the “Captain” looks to deliver a better performance than he did in his first fight in Syn (a loss at the hands of Leanrdo Alves by Submission). Both men have come across from BFE - Brazilian Fight Entertainment – before the closure of the company and are looking to make Syn their home. Even though they were in BFE together at the same time, the two have never met before and it’ll be interesting to see who has the edge. It is thought that Matsumoto will be looking to utilize his ground game and take another submission victory against J Champ who prefers to stand and bang although does have great takedown defence and can escape even the best submission artists. We look forward to seeing how quickly these men can get the audience engaged to the fight.

As always Synchronicity will bring a world class card to you live on PPV, featuring two title fights but also some real potential Fight on the Night matches such as Jackson vs Malkin 2. If you haven’t got the Pay-Per-View ordered yet or want to attend the event live, you really should as any fan of MMA – casual or hardcore – will not be left disappointed. As always at the end of the night the “Of The Night” awards will be awarded by Reaper Combatwear and we have a lot of contenders for that converted Fight of the Night award this Saturday coming.

Syn’302 – Review

Pound for Pound Patton is considered the number 7 best fighter in the world, in his own weight class you’re now wondering? He’s the number one in the world! His opposition on paper may not be quiet as formidable but Riggs was on a current four streak win run and on Saturday he was looking to make it five. The Champion may have gone in the favourite but “The Artist” is just that, a true technique artist in his striking and was no written off what so ever by the fans!

The fight was of true main event quality and both me proved why they were headlining a card with such formidable fighters filling it from top to bottom. It was 5 rounds of pure class from both me, exchanging strikes, holds and takedowns. At various points within the fight both men could’ve been made to tap by the other but it was not to be that day and they went the full distance. When 25 minutes isn’t enough to separate two top class athletes it hardly seems fair it comes down to the opinion of three people sat around the cage watching in but that’s how a winner had to be decided.

It was announced to the electric audience (and the two fighters) that after 25 minutes, 5 rounds, that – by Split Decision – their Champion of the Lightweight division was…… still Michael “Nuts of Wonder” Patton! Scoring of the three judge’s puts an exclamation point on just how close a contest this fight was, with 47:48, 48:47, and 48:47. This fight isn’t just one of the fights of the night; it was truly one of the fights of the year and is worth catching on the replay. We can only hope as fans we get to see a re-match of this great fight as these two men really went to war.

Welterweight Fight for the Belt

Yang Tao (30-10) vs Sergiy Sklyar (32-8-1) *Champion*

Coming into this one, Sergiy Skylar’s only loss had been a title fight against Buzz Cloltran at Syn’278 but he won the belt back a mere 2 fights later and currently boasts a 7-1 record during his time here at Synchronicity. His opponent Tao is on a current 3 fight win streak beating very formidable opposition during those fights in the forms of, Ben Stone, Motanna and Shawn Kronburger. This fight was always going to be a hard fought classic no matter the result but on Saturday night, these two truly delivered.

Just like the main event this one went the full distance and holds a very similar story. After three rounds this fight seemed like it was being edged by Skylar, the champion digging in and performing as expected but knowing he was losing on the score cards after three only inspired and motivated Tao. Tao pulled out one of the best round performances in the fourth round as he gave Skylar very little space and dominated the stand-up. Going into the last round it was all tied and just a matter of who could take it. Would Tao be walking away the new Welterweight champion or would Skylar make his record one win richer.

The final round was the closest of the lot, with both fighters giving their absolute all trying to put away the other or at least lead on the scorecards, trading shot after shot and really putting on a show for the Syn fans. As the bell rang, you could smell the anticipation in the air, as both men got ready to celebrate their name being called and all judges had agreed one their scoring, leaving the announcer to tell the world that their NEW Welterweight champion of the world was Yang Tao by Unanimous Decision (48:47)! Post-fight Tao was clearly emotions but made a heartfelt thankyou to all of his fans for their support.

Syn’299 Rematch

Apollo Jackson (17-3-1) vs Evgeniy Malkin (17-6-2)

The rematch the world had been waiting for, after their previous battle had gone the full 15-minutes allocated to the three round bout and at that point the judges couldn’t even separate them, the , was awarded as a draw. This was something neither man was content with and while the respect was clear, it was also obvious they wanted to go a few for rounds so they could have a decisive winner.

And the first round picked straight up where the last fight had left off, with both men equal to a point where the fans were chanting their names and nobody envied the jobs of the judges having to give an official scoring. And while the fight remained close, that was the last near unseperateable round these two men would contest, as Malkin began to take an edge in the second and controlled the third successfully despite Jackson fighting throughout till the end. Almost fittingly the winner of this – in effect – 6 round war, came down to the three men around cage side and they awarded Malkin with the Unanimous Decision victory. A clearly disappointed Jackson and a nearly speechless Malkin showed great respect post-fight for one another and it’d be hard not too after the war these two had engaged in over these two Pay-Per-Views. These three top fights on the card were worth the ticket price alone for the fans and all 6 men involved really did Synchronicity proud on Saturday night.

The Main Card

Dragon Slayer (20-7-1) vs Damon "Pretzel" Pierce (32-18)

Slayer vs Pierce saw something, that in no other fight, a total of 31 other rounds worth of fighting, we saw all night. A fight that not only saw a finish but didn’t get out of the first round! Slayer battered Pierce with some solid striking that saw him finish “Pretzel” in under three minutes, gaining a TKO victory when Slayer landed a big uppercut that left Pierce on his knee’s against the cage and needing the referee to jump in and stop the strikes from Slayer raining down. When the finish came the crowd went ballistic after having watched six other fights all go to a decision, the delight from seeing a fight finished was clear. When the announcement was made it was met by a standing ovation from the 90,000+ packing the collosuseum.

A J Hearts (28-9) vs Zoran Miloshevich (27-14)

A solid bout 3 round bout between 2 of Synchronicity’s more quiet fighters, who may not have gotten off to the best start in the respective careers but have both been great to watch in the cage. They did not disappoint as they used every minute of every round to try and sway the judges points in their favour but from the moment Hearts cut open the head of Miloshevich it looked like their could only really be one winner. A J Hearts performed superbly and just edged out each round in his favour after heavily controlling the first to take a deserved Unanimous Decision (30:27) victory. A lot of people will be hoping to see big things from a more confident – yet very respectful – AJ Hearts.

"God's Worker" Jonah Sumrall (18-6) vs Alfonso Lopez (16-5)

Not a fight that was likely to set the world on fire and it turned out exactly how most expected, a three round fight with little in the way of persuasion that one man would threaten to finish the other. The closest chance to a finish the fans saw was when Lopez (who controlled most the fight) got knocked down by a good headkick from Sumrall and “Gods Worker” tried to close on the finish but was denied by the resilience of Lopez. Lopez went on to win all three rounds – deservedly so in the eyes of most – by unanimous decision (27:30). Looks like God turned his back on his worker on this one.

Undercard

Sergei "El Fenómeno” Kharitonov (19-8-0) v J “Face” Breaker (48-29-1)

Complete domination is the only adjective applicable to Sergei Kharitonov’s performance against J Breaker – who was barely able to get into the fight. Kharitonov took a unanimous decision victory (30:26) over Breaker, as he controlled the fight and obliterated his seemingly burnt out opponent in the final round winning it 10:8 on every judges score card. With a fight like that, it does make you wonder just what "El Fenómeno” is capable of and how successful can he be here in Synchronicity.

Mr Bronze (25-15-0) v Kaoklai Khanomtom (30-11-3)

Evenly matched this fight definitely was, as these two fighters couldn’t be separated from 15 minutes of fighting in the same way they couldn’t be separated during the build up to the fight. The action was slow paced and slightly disappointing compared to other fights on the card but had moments that shone like any other. With 15 seconds left Khanomtom knew he was losing the fight and needed to do something about it, which resulted in him nearly putting Bronze out (after Bronze had controlled for 2 rounds straight) but Bronze held on to claim a unanimous decision (29:28) to take victory here in Colesssueum.

Makao Matsumoto (23-16-1) v “Captain” Tsubasa J Champ (19-8)

This fight may have ultimately gone on to be decided by decision after it reached the third round but J Champ will be wondering how he was not being announced winner after a mere 15 seconds, in which he cut, knocked down and seemingly had beat an extremely resilient Makao Matsumoto. Matsumoto would go on to control the rest of the fight after recovering himself from the early onslaught in the 1st-2nr round break and eventually take the victory by Unanimous Decision (29:28) but it was the “Captain” J Champ who will feel victory should’ve been his and will be disappointed with his performance following his early dominance.

Thor Berserk (20-10) v Charles “The Hammer” Martel (46-15-0)

The opening fight of the card saw the veteran Martel take his first win (by majority decision) since losing his title shot fight against Jake Lamotta in Featherweight division. Thor Berserk provided solid opposition and took it right down to the wire. Just how closely this fight was contested is shown in the judges’ score card as the judges all gave different scorings from 29:29, 28:29, 27:30, in favour of “The Hammer”. Such a vast scoring range from our judges raises the point again of the scoring system in place currently in MMA but that is a debate for another day.

Synchronicity delivered true value for money tonight with no less than 9 fights going the full distance to a decision, which made the KO of the night award (awarded by Reaper Combatwear) a simple decision in giving it to Slayer. The other fights – for the most part – more than delivered in terms of entertainment and quality of fight, in particular the main-events were real highlights and completely lived up to their billing. As an overall this show really went down well with fans, officials and fighters across the globe alike and was awarded a 997.40 rating from the MMA Tycoon governing body, along with selling over 325k of PPV buys. A fantastic night for not only Synchronicity, but also MMA Tycoon as Syn’302 really delivered as expected and possibly even more.

Syn' 303: Contenders – Preview

Live on PPV and at the LA Memorial Colossuseum (capacity: 93,607), LA, California

There may not be any title fights on this Synchronicity card but with the quality and calibre of fighters involved you don’t really need one as Synchronicity offers you 10 quality match-ups to get your mouth watering and Championship Press Association shall cover each one in this report sponsored by Championship Clothing.

Christian Nolan (23-19) vs Gigant "Big" Silva (22-13)

These two men may seem to be a rare bread after the last Syn Pay-Per-View (Syn’302) – in which 9 bouts went to a decision – as they both like to look for a finish no matter the opponent. Nolan has taken 19 finishes, only winning 6 fights by decision, while Silva is very similar and looks to finish his opponent on the ground or feet with 17 finishes, 12 (T)KO’s and 5 Submissions. In their last 8 fights combined, only once has a fight needed the judges’ scorecards and that speaks volumes at this level of competition about the mind set of these competitors.

The other thing these two men share in common is firstly an ambition to one day go on to challenge the Heavyweight champion – currently Brick Tires – but also that neither one can maintain a winning streak long enough to impress the match-makers and management of Synchronicity. While neither man has been in poor form, it’s just been a big case of win one lose one for both of these men and they will both be hoping to make a win Saturday night, against the other, part of something bigger. Silva goes into this one as a big underdog and will need all of his determination and heart to get through and make a name for himself, while Nolan will be looking to finish on his feet and out strike the grappler Silva.

"Gambler" Bad Idea (27-12-1) vs "mēpisukaryā" Itagaki Fukuzawa (17-4-0)

When you talk about two fighters who style and game plan going into most fights is polar opposite, you have to talk about what is likely to be of this match-up between the Georgian Idea and Japan’s Fukuzawa. “Gambler” is just that, a risk taker, who has seen 26 of his fights go to a decision, often fighting for a decision once a fight reaches the 3rd (or 5th during his glory days of being UPG champion). On the other hand you have Fukuzawa who looks to finish where possible, and finish he does in style. Taking 14 wins by (T)KO he is a real powerhouse and take his opponents head off, in his last fight, with Chauncy Silvestre, he finished the fight with a mere 15 seconds left on the clock to the uproar of the Synchronicity fans.

Itagaki Fukuzawa does not like leaving a fight in the hands of anybody but himself and that makes him very dangerous to any opponent, and possibly even more so to one like Bad Idea, who likes to control a fight. Idea has the advantage on the ground and may look to capitalize there and take control while holding his opponent but with Fukuzawa in the cage anything could happen if the fight is left standing. The fans are excited to see this one and if Fukuzawa can make it three straight undefeated since his arrival here in Syn!

Daniel "Ravishing" Roth (24-11-2) vs "Thor" Eiji Kawashima (31-8)

Making his second appearance follow his title fight on his debut in Syn is the “Ravishing” Roth, who will be looking to impress and make a name after a successful stint in – the now defuct – BFE (Brazilian Fight Entertainment). “Thor” on the other hand makes his debut tonight and will look to prove he should be in contention for freshly won title of Yang Tao. Whoever is gunning for the belt that takes a win off this fight may have to go through former champion Sergiy Skylar though as he’ll want to be next in line with a rematch for a belt he feels he should never have lost.

There aren’t many fighters more well-rounded out their than Eiji Kawashima but if anybody can stop this man that dominated UPGV at 170lbs, it is the arrogant yet so very charismatic and entertaining, Daniel Roth. Hopefully this fight will be as interesting and as entertaining as Roth’s entrances to the cage but that remains to be seen. One thing to mention is that Roth is the only man out the two to take a submission victory and “Thor” has only ever lost by submission, so could that be the finish we’ll see Saturday night?

"MR. NAUGHTY BOY" Mickey McFinnigan (21-11) vs Charles "Grenade" Gunn (25-14-1)

Another cross Atlantic war between a Brit, Mickey McFinnigan, and a yank, Charles Gunn. Despite coming from very different places these men are incredibly similar, they’ll both be making their debut in Syn this Saturday, they both have fought at the top level in other top orgs already and both men love to put on a show, collecting 20 “Of The Night” awards between them (McFinnigan with 11, Gunn with 9). These men also love to finish and this is what the fans will be hoping to see Saturday night. One question is over the ground game of Gunn, who is renowned for not having a very strong BJJ training regime but with that being said, he’s never been forced to tap but that could be more down to the fact he’s almost never been taken down. If McFinnigan was able to take Gunn down though, could this spell a world of pain and a first submission loss for the “Grenade”? The fans will hope not as they want to see these two great KO artists slog it out and go to war, for national (and personal) pride.

Roderick "The Hammer" Jenkins (14-5) vs Jobe Nkemakolam (35-14)

Jamaican Roderick Jenkins will be looking to continue his successful start to life in Synchronicity with a win over a Syn veteran in Jobe Nkemakolam. Nkemaklam will be competing in his 11th fight for the company and respect from “The Hammer” will be clear for a man who needs no nickname but the respect better not play on the mind of Jenkins to long in the cage as Jobe will take full advantage if it does. Both of these guys are on notable win streaks (more because of the level of competition than the amount) with each man looking for their 4th and 3rd respective victory on Saturday night but that’ll be easier said than done and one of these impressive streaks will have to come to an end when they meet in the cage.

"The Justice" Mitch Heisenberg (35-13-1) vs Hamid Zaferani (27-17-2)

A bout featuring a cardio machine and an explosive animal is what the fans of Syn will be treated too on PPV when “The Justice” Mitch Heisenberg meets Hamid Zaferani at Syn’303. Heisenberg comes into this one off the back of a loss to one of the best in the world in Matt Miller in a title fight for the featherweight title and will be looking to show his name should be around the discussion for that title sometime soon again after his jump from EVO. Zaferani was Sergiy Skylar’s last opponent at 145lbs before he made the jump to 170lbs after Zaferani went the distance with Skylar but was just edged out. This fight is an interesting one as Zaferani holds the edge on his feet but Heisenberg will benefit from the fight going to the ground. The only thing to bear in mind is that “The Justice” has won 21 of 25 decisions his fights have gone to, while Zaferani tends to fade away and has lost more decisions than he has won. Will the cardio of “The Justice” play a factor, Zaferani will certainly look to not allow it too!

"Mjöllnir" Njord Freyr (25-11-0) vs "The Hulk" Autumn Hunter (24-9-1)

Njord Freyr is a former top 10 p4p fighter in the world who once went on a 10 fight win streak, unfortunately for Freyr those days seems to be behind him now but he still possess a real threat to Autumn Hunter. Hunter is not quite as reputable globally as his opponent but definitely brings a lot to the table as the Syn favourite will look to really bring his A game when he faces his Norwegian born opponent. It is expected this fight will end in a bang with both men loving to finish the fight by (T)KO, between them they have gathered a staggering 39 (T)KO wins, which will leave the fans begging to see this become the 40th as these two heavyweights face off and look to move forward in their aging careers.

Buddy "The Faustus" Guy (26-5) vs Mark Sutter (22-16)

Compared to the last Syn card (Syn’302) we here at Championship Press Association really fancy the chances of a few finishes in Saturday night’s fights and this one should be one of them. Only 13 fights that these two guys have had out of a combined total of 67 have made it to the judges score card. One thing we may potentially see from Mark Sutter that we don’t see to regularly is a submission finish as he holds such a strong advantage if the fight goes to the ground, it may not be his natural habitat BUT Guy works on keeping the fight standing, not getting it back there, so it may be his best opportunity to grab a win. The fans will want an exciting fight and that’s one thing I will happily predict we should see in this one.

"The Flash" Barry Allen (21-11) vs Keke "Hammer" Pummel (23-12)

Even at 30 years of age “The Flash” Barry Allen still believes he is not only a great MMA fighter but also the quickest MMA fighter on the planet. He’ll be hoping to finish Pummel in a “Flash” before Keke can build on his momentum from his previous fight – his debut against Indica Jatlier – where he controlled the fight and took a great win. Both these men come off the back of victories into this one, with Allen also coming in having taken strong victory against Holden James. This is an evenly matched fight where either man could take the spoils but Allen is debatably the more popular fight and may have the added factor in his corner of 90,000 shouting fans.

Rico "El Chupacabra" Dominguez (24-12-3) vs Chauncey "Nightcrow" Silvestre (31-17-1)

If any fight on this card is likely to go the full three rounds and still be entertaining, with a shot at fight of the night, it’s this one. It’s El Chupacabra vs Nightcrow in a clash of featherweight cardio-kings, with both men coming in off the back of losses making this a real make or break fight. Silvestre’s career could’ve been so different if he could’ve just beaten one man, the beast known as Matt Miller. If Silvestre had taken any one of three opportunities to beat Miller he could be one of the biggest stars in the company but now he’s on the back foot facing a man who has never had the opportunity that “Nightcrow” did but Dominguez will be looking to show he does in the future.

Synchronicity 303 – Contenders will look to bring you something different from the last Pay-Per-View from the company, as the 9 out of 10 fights that ended in decisions on the last card is highly unlikely to be repeated on this one, with a lot more aggressive guys on this card, who will look to finish on every opportunity. Reaper Combatwear will be sponsoring the event as always and will be providing all clothing and merchandise for the event as well as sponsoring the “Of The Night” awards for the evening which will be very hotly contested!

*Foreword: I'd just like to say this will be my last write up for Syn (due to having to help out with an organisation in my alliance and time not permitting me to continue) but I just want to say thank you to Dark Soul, the fighters and managers of Syn who have given me some great fights to build, hype and cover over the last month or so. Big fan of the org and hope to work with you guys again in the future, Best of luck to all the fighters!

Syn' 303: Contenders – Review

Live on PPV and at the LA Memorial Colossuseum (capacity: 93,607), LA, California

Synchronicity hosted it’s 303rd show live on Pay-Per-View this weekend just passed at the LA Memorial Colossueseum. It was an event without some of the big names Syn fans love and known but it was definitely one of the top ones of the year as the determination and quality displayed by the fighters was right up there.

Christian Nolan (23-19) vs Gigant "Big" Silva (22-13)

It wasn’t the show stopping main event that all the fans expected but it was a solid fight, evenly contested fight that the fans enjoyed none the less. It was well worth the fans money as it was the last of 7 fights that reached the third round on this Syn card, infact this one went right the way to a decision. Some people may not like decisions being awarded in MMA and find them controversial but nobody can argue with this result, as Nolan beat Silva consistently throughout the 15minutes busting him open and leaving people wondering more how he didn’t actually finish Silva in this one, to take the Unanimous Decision victory (30-26)

"Gambler" Bad Idea (27-12-1) vs "mēpisukaryā" Itagaki Fukuzawa (17-4-0)

Another decision was called upon the judges but this one was more controversial than the main event. This fight may not have been more entertaining than the main event but it was a lot more closely contested, as Idea beat Fukuzawa by Split Decision (28:29. 29:28. 29:28). Many fans believe Idea was the rightly winner in this one but the second round was very much in the balance (although round one was dominated by idea and three by Fukuzawa) so it leaves the debate on scoring in MMA still very wide open.

Daniel "Ravishing" Roth (24-11-2) vs "Thor" Eiji Kawashima (31-8)

The only thing that kept this fight alive for as long as it did is the heart and durability of Daniel “Ravishing” Roth who’s performance inside of the cage Satruday night was no-where near as impressive as his performance leading up to the fight or during his entrance, as he lost in the second round by TKO to Eiji Kawashima in one of the most exciting bouts of the night. Kawashima’s performance was one of the most impressive of the night surviving the small ground assault from Roth and then proceeding to beat Roth on the stand-up more than convincingly. By the time the fight was over Roth was bleeding heavily and had a suspected concussion – which severity may have been limited by the good refereeing of the Syn official.

"MR. NAUGHTY BOY" Mickey McFinnigan (21-11) vs Charles "Grenade" Gunn (25-14-1)

A frantic high intensity fight that to the amazement of the Synchronicity fans made it too the final round and even the went the full distance. This fight had it all, fighters being rocked, knocked down and cuts galore but mainly in favour of one man; Charles Gunn who took the decision victory 27:30. Gunn had McFinnigan on the edge a number of times and looked like finishing the fight in all three rounds at various points. It is a testament to “Mr. Naughty Boys” resilience just how long this fight went on for as it looked like finish anytime from midway through the first round. This fight isn’t only a fight of the night candidate but also a fight of the month, as it was a true showstopper and I’d personally go as far to say it deserved the main event spot based upon its quality.

Roderick "The Hammer" Jenkins (14-5) vs Jobe Nkemakolam (35-14)

Another exciting fight that went the distance but could’ve been finished at any time was this one between Jenkins and Nkemakolam. This fight had a lot of great work from each competitor and had fans excited as both men used their fantastic cardio to stay as active as possible in this one, looking to finish. While it may not have been the blood fest McFinnigan vs Gunn became, it really was a great bout. In the end Nkemakolam was announced winner by Unanimous Decision, edging the decision 28:29 on all three judges’ scorecards, which the fans in general agreed with.

"The Justice" Mitch Heisenberg (35-13-1) vs Hamid Zaferani (27-17-2)

Not the show stopping blood fests the following fights were but from a technical stand point this was ace and the fans appreciated it as much as both of the above. Both men left it out there and were closely matched from start to finish. Heisenberg may have emerged winner by Majority Decision but many feel this could’ve genuinely been a draw and a deserved one at that with the first round being very much in the balance while the second and third were fairly taken by each man respectively. Young aspiring fighters should look to these two men on how to put on a show and other organisations should take from this and the great match making to make it happen.

"Mjöllnir" Njord Freyr (25-11-0) vs "The Hulk" Autumn Hunter (24-9-1)

For the first time since his arrival in Syn, Oslo, Norway born Njord Freyr’s fight did not finish in the first round; in fact Autumn Hunter took the fight the distance to the judge’s decision with three hard fought rounds. Not bad upon his return to Syn, after what people believed to be “The Hulks” last appearance for the organisation at Syn’294. Unfortunately despite the fantastic effort it wasn’t enough as Freyr controlled most the fight and took the fight by Unanimous Decision (30:27) after Hunter began to fall behind early on in the fight. Hunter can take heart from his first round display but will undoubtable disappointed with his performance from there on out.

Buddy "The Faustus" Guy (26-5) vs Mark Sutter (22-16)

A fight featuring a finish that, when spoken about in context with the general way of the bout, would’ve had the fans talking for years to come if it was the main event. Mark Sutter dominated the entire fight on the ground in the first round controlling from start to finish and coming close to finish Guy a couple of times but Guy was saved by the bell for the end of the round. The second round is where it all changed; Guy came out a new man, aggressive, pressing, wanting the win. And the win he got after only 30 seconds when he landed his third strike without response from a defensive Sutter, which sent Sutter stumbling towards the mat. Guy was not holding back and dived in down to finish the job and he did finish indeed with the official having to pull him off to stop any permanent damage. After the TKO victory was announced in Guy’s favour he sent big thanks to all his faithful fans before leaving the cage side area.

"The Flash" Barry Allen (21-11) vs Keke "Hammer" Pummel (23-12)

This was the only fight on the card not to get out of the first round but that was not of great surprise to the Syn fans as it was a bout featuring Keke Pummel, a man who win or lose leaves absolutely all of it on the line. Saturday night he left it all out there for no reward though, as Barry Allen delivered a crisp uppercut that left Pummel sprawled out cold. It appeared as if Pummel, who had been rocked by a big hook moments earlier, had regained himself and had the spring in his step back but even if he did, the uppercut was unavoidable. Allen will be very happy with his overall performance as well as the finish and many are calling for it to be awarded KO of the night.

Rico "El Chupacabra" Dominguez (24-12-3) vs Chauncey "Nightcrow" Silvestre (31-17-1)

These two Syn legends who have a graced the Synchronicty cage no less than a combined 22 times after this Saturday needed all 15 minutes to find a winner and not even Dominguez could deny that fan favourite “Nightcrow” deserved the Unanimous Decision victory (28:30, 28:29, 28:29) in one of the more lack-lustre performances of both mens careers. While it was not the worst bout in the world and did its job as an opener, it wasn’t the show stopper these two great men could’ve possibly once pulled off.

Synchronicity can be proud again of their event, especially considering it’s during the Tycoon Olympics, and it’s fighters that have stepped up to the plate in the absence of some bigger names. Owner Dark Soul will be thankful to all his fighters for putting on a real show and will hope to see more of the same in the future. A real highlight of the night personally for me was the “Ravashing” Roth against Kawashima but the “Of the Night” awards have yet to be announced by sponsors Reaper Combatwear.

An Insight on….

Synchronicity’s Devin “Furious” Styles

http://mmatycoon.com/gallery/0/13945165273961.png

Name: Devin Styles

Nickname: “Furious”

Weight (Natural): 205lbs Height: 187cm

MMA Pro record: 25-8-0

Biggest Accolades: Former Syn’ 205 & 265 lbs champion

Manager: Blunts Allday (Styles' Record under Allday - 14-5)

On Friday the 4th of July, Devin Styles will be facing the man known as “The Holy Man”, Jensen Saint, in the finale of the Light Heavyweight division in the first MMATycoon Olympic Games. The two men will battle it out to be known as the best light heavyweight in the games and only one can immerge winner taking the victory back to their respective organisation. Styles will be battling to take gold back for Synchronicity while Vatican City resident Saint will want to go home victorious to EVO.

Syn’ will have to put a lot of faith into the younger Styles, as the 29-year-olds result this Friday could make a huge difference in where they finish in the final table. Styles’ has earned the trust and respect of the management and his fellow fighters, not only during the Olympic period with two impressive stoppage victories, but also during his time with Synchronicity. Since his arrival on the scene in Syn Styles has had 16 fights and during that time he’s won both the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles, with his biggest achievement being when he stopped the hype train known as Scotty Bennett (Bennett before his defeat to Styles was previously 27-0 pro record).

Devin was also once the world number 2 pound-for-pound fighter after an impressive period of ten victories in eleven fights before losing his heavyweight title to “The Thing” Ben Grimm. It is unclear at this point what Devin has been training in the lead-up to this bout but with 21 of his 25 victories coming by (T)KO stoppages, it’s hard to see any other game plan that go for the knock-out. The only concern Styles’ may have coming in will be the ability of Saint on the ground but if Devin can keep the fight standing it’s hard to look past a Devin Style and Synchronicity win on Friday night. We look forward to seeing you all their and please sent your best fan photo’s to the Synchronicity twitter (or SmackTalk page) in support of the Light Heavyweight hero!

If you want respect you gotta earn it.

"Deus Ex Machina" Tiyaro Feitsora

Reporter: Tonights win over Scotty Bennet was the greatest performance we have ever seen from you yet Tiyaro, and this is coming after another impressive win against A J Hearts not too long ago via TDPW. Your on fire!

Fietsora: Thank you so much man

Reporter: What does that mean to you when you hear you have just won a decision over a former #1 p4p champion after everybody counted you out? What is going through your mind right now?

Fietsora: I've been dreaming it for so long, it's unbelievable. The greatest feeling in the world! All you have to do is believe your the best in the world and you'll get there eventually.

Reporter: Leading up to this fight one of the things that was said was this was about you reaching your full potential and you rising to the occasion. You surpassed all expectations tonight in this performance. It was stunning! Was this surprising to you?

Fietsora: Hell yeah, I mean Scotty Bennet is the best in the world in my eyes you know what I mean? I've been looking up to the guy since the start of his career and it was a huge honor just to have the opportunity to step in the cage with him. He was once the best in the world and that's what brought out the best in me, I knew I was fighting the best I've ever faced. I had to bring my A game and it happened baby WOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Reporter: Whats next?

Fietsora: I'm still on cloud nine right now, I can't believe I'm standing here talking to you now about how I just won a fight against Bennet. I mean, who saw this coming? Not even me to be honest! I didn't think I would be in this position so fast in the best organization in the world but now after wins over A J Hearts and Scotty Bennet I believe I'm ready for anyone. I can't even begin to imagine what Syn has in mind for me next. I'll just wait for the call and you better believe I'll be ready to go when the time comes. I'll be keeping a close eye on Malkin vs. Styles. Who knows maybe I'm at the top of the line for a title shot even. I havent been around Syn long enough to even know who else is in the mix, but like I said I'm ready for anyone!

Nice use of "allow TD". I was kicking myself reading that fight. Not changing the TD settings from his last fight is probably the worst mistake i've made in a long time. I've really fucked up Bennet's career lately with some really poor decisions.

Good luck moving forward, with Bennet's injury induced degrade death spiral i dont know if i will keep him around long enough to get a rematch.
