  1. HEAVYWEIGHT - FINAL Havardr Vollan (13-0) [1] Vs Qing Wu (7-1) [18] You have to give it up for Qing Wu. From being seeded 18th, to defeating number 15, 2, 25 and 14. This has been an incredible run. Havardr needed just 38 seconds to finish off Kiase Quama to book his spot in the final and protect his amazing undefeated record, while Wu was unable to match him by a whole 2 seconds as Iulian Simionescu went down at 40 on the dot. Two devastating strikers with the power to strike fear in any opponent. Unlike the other final breakdowns, there’s not a massive amount I feel needs to be said here. Wu came into this as an underdog but I feel that by this stage and by the wins he’s achieved, he now has as much of a chance of winning this fight as Vollan does. Vollan wants to go down in history with the other Island tournament champions to win without tasting professional defeat. If we take the one loss on Wu’s record, it was an early submission loss, so we can’t even extrapolate any data from that. If I perhaps try to bring a single differential into the equation, Vollan struggled early with Iulian Simionescu before stopping him the second round, so a slight edge to Wu based on that. But really, there’s no splitting this. Both are at the top of their game with fight handing power in both fists. Our job is to sit back and watch.

  2. LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT - FINAL Kil Bon Hwa (17-1) [3] Vs Stevo Caruga (13-1) [2] THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED! Kil Bon Hwa has ended the legendary unstoppable reign of terror of Karockas Thibodeaux and booked his place in the final. If you want a little bit of context, unless I am missing something, Torhte Finlayson has the greatest Island undefeated record of all time at 19-0. Torhte is managed by Kil Bon Hwa’s manager Action Jackson. If Karockas defeated Kil and won in the final, he would have matched Torhte’s accomplishment. Action didn’t want this to happen and put his all into stopping the reign. Rockafella got the clinch working early and managed to drop Hwa late in the first round. Hwa came back strong in the second and managed to open a nasty gash above the eye of Karockas as blood pooled into his eye socket. The third round was razor close. All to play for. 1-1 with one round to go. But the referee stops it. The cut is too bad and Karockas is deemed unable to continue. Hwa goes to the final. Phew. Drama left right and centre, and now I feel bad as Stevo Caruga over here has absolutely no drama at all. For the fourth fight in a row Caruga ends up on the ground early, slaps on a submission, back home by supper. So here we are, the final is upon us. Kil Bon Hwa, the former Rogues champion who wanted to finish off this season proving he’s still the best. Stevo Caruga, the newly reigning VFC champion who wanted to show everyone that he was just hitting his stride before the tournament. This all comes down to whether Hwa can keep the fight standing or not.

  3. And just like that, every review is done. Big thanks to Tycoon Judas and Alfred for their reviews. By my probably incorrect maths that was 176 fights that we reviewed so that's a good shift over 5 days. Good luck to anybody left in the finals!

  4. SEASON 13 END OF ISLAND TOURNAMENT - LIGHTWEIGHTS (155lbs) Finals (#5) Gillechriosd McCoy (12-5) vs. (#2) Lesley Dancer (15-2) The good lord certainly blessed the work of humble servant Gillechriosd McCoy and provided him with a spectacular first round TKO over #1 seed Albert Einstein. After such dominating performances all the way through to this point, it only took one occasion for Einstein's calculations to be incorrect and that in turn allowed McCoy to smite him justly for his failed takedown attempts. In truth, it was a little bit disappointing to see Einstein go out without much of a fight but then really that just points to the level of performance for McCoy. He now faces the #2 seed and final boss of the season 13 end of island tournament Lesley Dancer. Dancer had a tougher time in reaching the final when he faced off against #4 Purple Aki. He struggled to find his rhythm in the first round where Aki was able to take him down and soften him up with ground and pound. He couldn't put him away though and Dancer came back like a gelded bull in the second, winging ferocious shots to the head and body and caring little as to what landed. Luckily for him enough did eventually find their mark and at around the two minute mark, Aki was cut, wobbled and sent to bed. These two fighters have looked fantastic through the tournament and either one of them would make well deserving victors. Both favour fisticuffs but it is Dancer who looks to be the better bet overall with his perfect 100% record of KO's over his fifteen victories. No one has yet managed to KO him whilst McCoy, for all of his own KO prowess, has been far more vulnerable in that department having suffered a total of four KO losses. However, all two of Dancer's losses have been via submission and it just so happens that the good lord has seen fit to bless McCoy with a BJJ blue belt and just enough submission savvy to have picked up a sub victory on his pilgrimage. Surely it would make for a blessed ending and a truly glorious way for McCoy to end this final battle between good and evil. Let us pray for McCoy.

  5. WELTERWEIGHT - FINAL Jack Black (19-1) [1] Vs Bradley Lemons (15-5) [4] I said before this round that it was good to see Jack Black tested a little bit more by going 3 rounds with Liko Dares. Apparently this insulted him because it took just 18 seconds to dispatch of Jesse Thomas Babcock and book his spot in the final. Similarly, Bradley Lemons had a comfortable win by keeping the distance with Werner Heisenberg before knocking him out with an overhand right just before the 2 minute mark. Now, where does that leave us? Jack Black has scored two first round knockout wins over Bradley Lemons, defending his Rogues WW title in each. However, that is dismissive of what happened in that rematch. Jack Black comes out very aggressive and trying to work his clinch game. Bradley wants to step back and counter. Round 1 goes by, maybe a slight edge to Gentleman Jack. Round 2 starts…BOOM, down goes Black. Fighting for his life, Jack desperately tries to cover up. He survives until the third minute mark and….BOOM again. This time it’s Jack who lands the shot and Bradley tries covering up. Shots get through his guard and the referee is forced to step in. Jack Black defends his title, but Bradley Lemons earned his respect. So now we’re back again. Two men who want to stand in the centre of that cage and throw bombs. Either man could walk away from this as the Season 13 Island Welterweight Champion in a matter of seconds, and everyone’s tuning in to see it.

It’s fine to kick a man while he’s down I guess , I just noticed your 17-0 island prodigy (no medal)only made as far as my 8-6 Island can(Bronze medal) so you need somebody to scratch that itch lol. Rock- Ill meet you at 185 if you still want the smoke after Horton, no problem , you wanna call out Howlett too while we’re being weight bullies and daring somebody to say something about it lol

  7. (I’m the new LAFC employee in the new rebirth of the company, you’ll get used to seeing this face around. Sorry in advance if it’s not the best preview, first time doing this but I’m gonna give it my all ) LAFC MONTREAL PRELIMS Bantamweight Division Yakubu Okoroji (4-3-1) vs Brendan Lawson (5-8-1) To kick off this amazing card in Montreal we have the firey opener of Okoroji vs Lawson. Two submission specialists who could both really use this win against one another. Both men’s last fight was against fellow bantamweight contender Nevez Amadaus. Yakubu managed to get the nod with a split decision victory, however Lawson couldn’t do the same last time out losing their fight to a unanimous decision. Both these men’s path to victory should be very similar, either looking for a submission or trying to be more active and secure the decision victory. It should be one hell of a fight, especially for the opener of the card! Bantamweight Division Nevez Amadaus (8-5) vs Nick Jackson (4-2) Just when he thought he could escape being mentioned again Amadaus coming off the Brendan Lawson win takes on a contender on a dominant 3 win streak Nick Jackson. This matchup makes for an interesting fight as both men are going to look to stand and bang to find the victory and either one of the little guys could end this with a big knockout. This win could be a huge notch and proving point for the winner to get a title shot in an expanding competitive bantamweight division. If you like high level LAFC strikers then this one will be a treat for you! Featherweight Division Roko "Little Evil" Matijevic (6-5) vs Seok Yi "Rock Lee" (9-7) This fight I am personally excited for! Another matchup where the two men will look to stand and bang to find a finish. They both are coming off a win and trying to find their way into the title picture, I mean everyone is but you get the point. Little Evil is known for his devastating power and hasn’t suffered a knockout in his 11 fight career. On the other hand Rock Lee has the power to end most fights, but if we’re looking at this matchup in the stance of chin vs chin then Roko might have him beat as Yi has suffered 6 knockouts in his in his 16 fight career. No counting him out though as he has the experience over his combatant, this one should be a great fight and could be a jaw dropper for the fans. MAIN CARD Middleweight Division Marko "The Butcher" Zrinski (9-3-1) vs Dillon "The Villain" Hardman (4-4) This card is filled with fights that will have you jumping out of your seat as I already mentioned, this one is no different. Hardman started his career with 3 decision losses following with on and off wins, but since being signed by new management he’s been on an absolute KILLING picking up 3 knockout wins in the first round! His power isn’t to be doubted as every win he’s picked up has been a first round finish. He's never been knocked out and doesn’t plan to be in this one, but exactly the opposite. On the other hand we have a different type of fighter in Marko Zrinski, a very technical fighter who looks to pick his opponents apart and bring them into deep water. His fighting style could either be a nightmare for him or a blessing as the power is definitely on Hardman’s side in this matchup. In his thirteen fight career he has performed and delivered, with his chin only being tested by reigning Enigma Middleweight champion DeShaun Holton Jr and it’s been told he doesn’t have much worry in the standup department in this matchup by his team. Two amazing fighters who are both looking to deploy their gameplan and come out with a win, who knows what the result will be in this one!? Openweight Division Joao Stawarski (6-1) vs Randy Bobandy (5-1) As you all know, our openweight division is reserved for young developing projects and this will be the only featured bout from the division. A banger of a matchup, both men having only one loss on their record and not looking to pick up another one. Both men are grapplers looking to assert their dominance on the ground to pick up the win. All five of Bobandy’s victories were not finishes and have went to a decision. Stawarski is a different case as whenever he gets someone on the ground it usually results in him choking them unconscious. This will come down to if Bobandy can control the ground work and not let Stawarski get ahold of a limb. Who knows he might pull off a surprise finish, all I know is whoever wins this one gets a big push in the rankings! Welterweight Division Easy "Mothafucin" Ee (12-7) vs Origen Alexandria (5-2) The one and only Welterweight bout taking place tonight, Easy E brings exceptional boxing to the table and Alexandria will be bringing a BJJ brown belt with a wrestling advantage as well. Origen will have a lot to overcome here if he can’t drag this fight to the ground and make it an ugly one. Easy has the experience edge with 12 more fights then Origen. Easy is looking to get out of the losing column and pick up a needed win with Origen on the other side winning this would push his streak to three wins! A lot on the line for both these men and we will see a style clash in Montreal like many other matchups. Heavyweight Division Padraig Ahearn (14-10) vs Chris Tosanesti (7-5) This card is littered with the hard hitting heavyweights we all love to watch and this is the first featured bout of the three. Both of these men are on a bit of a cold streak but that has just lit a fire under both their ass to end this early in impressive fashion! Ahearn has the age over Tosanesti but I don’t think that will play any serious factor. Chris Todanesti can hit, but also has exceptional wrestling with a black belt in bjj to match that ground game. It might be a lot for Ahearn to overcome but he will look to keep this on the feet with heavy strategy. Sure should be an exciting one! Lightweight Division Ispa Perkele (11-3) vs Nils Hoglander (9-5) This is an exciting one because you have to assume the winner of this matchup is gonna be right near the title picture. It’s hard to know what could be the outcome of a match like this, the boss did a good job booking this one for sure. The heavy hitting proven chin warrior Ispa, making his lightweight return wants to get back into those rankings in style. He’s a former lightweight champion so he has that experience of being in those big fights and a lot of them. Hoglander is most likely gonna rely on his power and try to test Ispa’s chin, maybe he knows something we don’t but I’d say Perkele would be the safer pick for this fight if LAFC had a bookmark. Two technical strikers who will go in that octagon, and do the bidding of war. One of the many exciting and captivating fights on this amazing card! Heavyweight Division Charlie "Char" IV (12-4) vs Zack Rize (12-2) This is sure to be a fan favorite right here. The trash talking former AFC heavyweight champion Zack Rize takes on someone who knows the LAFC octagon very well Charlie IV. Rize coming off a title reign with another organization before vacating to find new employment in Los Angeles, and Char on a current hot three fight win streak inside LAFC… You have to think this is a #1 contenders match for the heavyweight gold that’s being defended in our main event. The 31 year old Charlie might have met his match in this one as Rize is young and hungry coming to LAFC. The man can do it all and do it well, this is honesty on my part and if Charlie can pull off the upset here then maybe wishes do come true… He faces a proven champion and this is a match the fans want to see, because they know it will bring violence. Who will face the champ next for the heavyweight gold? This one will give you the answer you’re looking for! MAIN EVENT Heavyweight Championship Vunipola Veainu (18-5) vs Glover Levangasti (11-2) The match that LAFC fans have been waiting for, heavyweight gold on the line and two warriors ready to clash. Veainu is coming off his championship win looking to make his first defense but he has a steep challenge to face ahead. Glover Levangasti is currently on a tare of the division and looking to add the new LAFC belt to his trophy shelf. His chin is yet to be tested by another man in the cage and the champion will be looking to do just that. Both these men have to face on the task ahead because they’re both no easy task to finish off in the cage. An unpredictable fight that will take place solely on the feet. Veainu definitely has the power advantage in this matchup but Levangasti has dragged his opponents to deep water and dismantled them over several rounds on multiple occasions. Like previously mentioned whoever wins this matchup either the current champion or challenger will have a great fight next with the co-main event looking to prove something tonight. To wrap up a great card we have the prestigious heavyweight belt hanging in the balance. Let the best man win!

  14. Morton Masters: The truth is should have been 2 rounds to 1 this way. So that puts that easy W you talking about to rest. And next time you get stopped.

  15. Ah, I see what you mean. The truth is I could have smashed you anywhere, including the clinch, but I chose to be boring and go for the guaranteed victory rather than allow the 1% chance you could get a doctor stoppage. Really just an easy W, you were totally gassed by mid second round, all those failed hugs vs my 80 damage saw to that. Thank you fighting the fight I predicted to the tee.

  16. Morton Masters: That's apparent because the original comment must have lost you. Rounds 1&2 you were out stricken, were cut and cut further opened, and had your back to the cage most of those two rounds. So how two judges could score you two rounds is beyond me. But fight was left in the hands of the judges.

  19. Morton Masters: Wow must have been a really terrible third round for both of us and if so then I should have won that round from control because apparently there were no strikes at all in that one. Or do you want to go back reevaluate and recount the first two rounds again. Either way you lost 2 rounds to 1.

  23. Kuol "Twister" Riak (4-2-0) Kuol "Twister" Riak speaks to EFC Media ahead of their upcoming fight at EMPIRE FN3 July 02 in New York. I’m really excited about the upcoming match. I have to admit that Felix Miller is a tricky opponent, pretty good at Muay Thai who adopts his punch and kicks well, he’s a complete package, but I’m not really afraid in his style, I've got one fight left on my contracts so I aim to give my best to win the fight. I fight not for myself, I fight for the people who believe in me... A big thanks to my new Manager Edsel T. for giving me this opportunity to fight back and giving me a chance to fulfill my career..

  24. Morton Masters: Now I know you guys probably expect me to be classy in my defeat but I'm going to disappoint you. How did I lose split decision? Rounds 1&2 we're mine. Need more judges like judge 3. Landed more shots, had him busted up and bleeding clearly doing more damage, and spent more time in the dominant clinch position instead of the one being meshed up with their back to the cage. So significant shots landed, cage control, and damage I was the leader of for two of the three rounds. I was robbed.

  31. SEASON 13 END OF ISLAND TOURNAMENT - LIGHTWEIGHTS (155lbs) Semi-Finals (#1) Albert Einstein (12-3) vs. (#5) Gillechriosd McCoy (11-5) Once again, Albert Einstein, the number one seed in the lightweight tournament makes things look easy by clobbering the over performing David Ournez without even breaking a sweat. He marched into the cage, took the fight to the floor and with just a few thunderous shots to the head, the fight was done. Ournez didn't even have a chance to get an offensive move off. Frightening stuff from Einstein for sure and a real statement of intent at this point in proceedings. He now faces off against #5 seed Gillechriosd McCoy who, if possible, looked even more impressive in his quarter-final bout. Facing submission specialist and #3 seed Mancha Aisland, he quickly set about putting an end to the fight before Aisland could have too many chances at getting the fight to the ground. There's was no waiting around in this one as McCoy pressured forward landing massive shots to the head and scored a flash knockdown. Aisland had just about enough wits about him to shoot in for a takedown but it was sloppy and McCoy seized his chance to punish landing a solid counter right that ended the fight. Well folks, this is a tough one indeed. Most likely if a poll was taken, Albert Einstein would be the favoured fighter to move on to the finals but with blessed brother Gillechriosd McCoy inspired performances you just cannot rule him out of an underdog upset. In eleven victories, no opponent has ever made it to the end of the fight with him but he does have a few KO losses on his resume and Einstein's ground and pound is able to switch off lights more often than not. Both fighters have at least one submission win on their record which does make the ground just that little more dangerous for Einstein but we can't imagine that dissuading him from his usual game plan of taking them down and grinding them to dust. Whatever the result of this one, just remember that it is all God's will. (#4) Purple Aki (11-1) vs. (#2) Lesley Dancer (13-2) #4 seed Purple Aki had a real early scare in his quarter-final showdown with undefeated Tielo Bonifaz but managed to overcome and get himself back into the fight enough to earn a split decision victory. Bonifaz punished the first failed takedown attempt from Aki and rocked the English grappler with a big left. He quickly followed up with a solid straight right that dropped him to the mat. A lapse in judgment from Bonifaz who then made the costly error of following Aki down to the ground and squandering his chance of a quick finish. Aki controlled, regained his senses and made it through the round. The second round was closer with Bonifaz landing shots early on before being taken down for the remainder but the third and final was a total domination for Aki and probably the round the scored highest in this whole fight scoring format. A gritty performance and one that now earns him a shot at the #2 seed in this tournament, Lesley Dancer. It was thought that #10 Eric Jacquin might have the tools to give Dancer a tough time but in fact, it was nothing quite like that at all. The one dimensional brown belt refused to mix things up and so Dancer was easily able to anticipate his every takedown attempt and punish them accordingly. With each shot firing at maximum velocity, it didn't take many before Dancer put an end to proceedings and so just before the two minute mark, Jacquin was saved by the referee. At a glance, this semi-final showdown looks almost identical to Dancer's previous and off the back of that performance you had to wonder if Aki isn't in big trouble here. Don't get me wrong, Aki is clearly a step up in competition from Eric Jacquin but if he plans to simply muscle Dancer down to the ground without a fight, he might want to consider Jacquin's fate in that decision. Still, Jacquin didn't possess the wrestling that Aki does and so perhaps Aki will be confident that Dancer simply cannot stop his takedown? Only one other man has so far managed to stop Aki and for Dancer, he has yet to be KO'd at all. Sub losses are the only black mark on his record so far and Aki is no submission master. He much prefers to batter and overwhelm his opponents with strikes and Dancer seems to have a pretty sturdy heart and chin. Most definitely not a fight to miss

  32. Island Season 13 Featherweight Final #4 Shinichiro Tomonaga(11-2-0) Vs #2 Richard Hall(16-0-0) Shinichiro Tomonaga was having none of Robbie Hall's clinch attempts shutting down 23 of 25 attempts to clinch. Hall was also just 1 and 3 in Takedown attempts and we it did hit the mat in the first round he couldn't manage to anything of significance. So, the fight for the most part stayed on the feet where Tomonaga was just in sparring mode making this extremely talented grappler look like a fool. On the other side of the bracket Richard Hall was taken to a Decision for only the second time in his Pro Career. Richard's BJJ prowess proved to be too much for Frankie Venegas as he comfortably one all three rounds. I think the fight was a lot closer than some might think though, as Benegas was much more active with his strikes and Submission Attempts. While Hall was manly in control and suffocate mode. Ultimately takedowns and Control one this fight not a fan friendly bout but maybe Richard is saving is magic for the final. Tomonaga avenges his previous loss to Robbie Hall shutting his game down completely. Or was this some devious ploy from the brothers Hall to get Tomononaga thinking he has a chance? Shinichiro surely proved he can shut the clinch down though and His striking will give Richard fits if he can shut him down as well. Richard Hall is now a perfect 16-0 and though his last bout wasn't his prettiest the previous 14 submission victories sure the F$$K were. These two guys are managed by some superb managers, and I fully expect a phenomenal Finale here. Pick of the Judas: Richard Hall Tomonaga is by far my kind of fighters, cause f$$k grapplers but This kid "The Magician" has way too much going for him right now this Island Season. If his gameplan is anything like his brothers though i will surely be eating these words.

  33. HEAVYWEIGHT - SEMI FINAL Havardr Vollan (12-0) [1] Vs Kiase Quama (5-3) [24] Only in the tournament would you see the #1 seed Vs #24 seed duke it out in the semi finals. This is why we love this competition. Rogues champ Vollan brushed aside his latest adversary Mac Anudo and was left screaming to the crowd that he wanted a challenge. He wants a legitimate threat to his undefeated record. Hoping to be that threat is Kiase Quama. Coming in to the tournament with a 2-3 record in MMA, who ever would have seen Quama getting to the semi finals, let alone stopping the incredible Old Leg Tartakov in a single punch to do it? What a man this kickboxer is. We now know Quama absolutely has the power in his fists to end the night for any man on the planet, however Vollan is more machine than man. Is Quama’s fairytale story going to continue, or are children’s stories nothing to an undefeated champion on a warpath to the glory? Iulian Simionescu (8-1) [14] Vs Qing Wu (6-1) [18] From that initial bracket, I didn’t feel that anything specifically made Iulian or Qing stand out. Journey 3 fights into the future, we’re telling a different story. Iulian focuses on accuracy over damage and slickly dances around opponents, popping out his jab and getting the job done professionally. That’s how he took the points against John Bell last time out. However Qing Wu isn’t a points fighter. Qing Wu wants beautiful destruction every time he steps out there, and his 19 second KO of Jackson Silva in the quarter finals is the perfect representation of that. This will be a striking match. We know that. But will Iulian be able to keep the pace slow, or will Qing’s controlled chaos reign supreme once again?

  34. LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT - SEMI FINAL Karockas Thibodeaux (17-0) [1] Vs Kil Bon Hwa (16-1) [3] This is the fight everybody has been waiting for. On one side, one of the most destructive forces The Island has ever seen. On the other, one of the toughest men to have ever set foot on those sandy beaches. For the first time, Karockas Thibodeaux takes on Kil Bon Hwa. Karockas breezed past submission expert Jonny Bar, scoring the finish in under 3 minutes. His streak of never letting a fight go even as long as 4 minutes remains unscathed. However, Kil Bon Hwa did not have as easy a time. While Karockas was focused on the future, Bon Hwa was focused on the past. Sione Veainu has knocked him out earlier in his career. He wanted it back, only to find himself starting up at the lights within the first minute. He hung on for dear life, recovered, and then was looking straight back up in round 2. A disastrous start, but Hwa didn’t want to say die. He came back, rocked Veainu in round 3 and perhaps controversially, righted that one wrong on his record. Now, two of the greatest Island fighters of all time go head to head in the semi finals, and only one can go through. Abbas Mohammad (11-6) [20] Vs Stevo Caruga (12-1) [2] Abbas Mohammad is definitely getting submitted in round 1. Definitely. But let’s pretend he isn’t. Abbas has been on a tear this competition with 3 first round stoppages. He took Red Greene down, navigated around his submission attempts and dropped bombs until the referee had to save him. So much for my fav named fighter in the tournament. On the other side, VFC champ Stevo took down Dan Dinklage and instantly kimura’d him. No sweat what so ever, didn’t even need a towel. An easy win for Stevo, but Abbas is absolutely sure he’s learned from his VFC 63 fight against Stevo where he was caught in a triangle choke in 41 seconds. Abbas has the grit and determination, but against someone with the skill on the ground of Stevo, does he have the ability?

  35. WELTERWEIGHT - SEMI FINAL Jack Black (18-1) [1] Vs Jesse Thomas Badcock (7-1) [12] Part of me wants to say that Jack Black’s fight last round, which lasted just shy of the 15 minute time limit, as an interesting test for him. In reality, it just means Liko Dares took an extended beating. Jack has yet to face trouble in this tournament and his insane run hasn’t come close to a conclusion. However, Uncle Jesse has been a dark horse in this competition and showed he can come through tough spots when he found himself taken down on occasion last time out. Jesse has some solid boxing and likes to focus on wearing his opponents down, but unfortunately Jack Black doesn’t seem to be the man to tire and I think you really have to be a strong finisher to get anything out of this fight. Babcock seems to be a tactician rather than a finisher, and I feel that may be his downfall. Bradley Lemons (14-5) [4] Vs Werner Heisenberg (11-1) [2] Adam Alkoun did his best against Lemons, attempting to force a clinch and tie him up. But Lemons was able to do his own work in close, as well as shaking it off and getting that first round KO that he always seeks for. Werner did what we have come to expect from him, outworking Nicholas McDonald at distance and in the clinch taking all 3 rounds of a unanimous decision. This fight will be quite tough to call. Lemons struggled to avoid the clinch last time out and didn’t seem overly comfortable in close, while Werner enjoys to force a phonebooth fight and land some smaller shots. Both men have tasted defeat at the hands of Jack Black. Lemons has 2 losses to the Rogues champ, but did have an all out war last time. Werner’s lone loss of his career is to Black. So both men will be absolutely desperate to pull off a victory here in the hopes that it’ll be Black they face in the final.

  36. Island Season 13 Bantamweight Final #1 Kodiyak Redd Vs #7 Nightey Knights Kodiyak had his first real test of this Tournament, with his win over Joaquim Caetano. What hurt Caetano in the end was his inability to advance position or finish a submission attempt. Redd on the other hand was one for one in Takedown attempts and nearly perfect with his Ground and pound strikes. After picking up two quick TKO's previously this was a great fight for Kodiyak giving his Conditioning a little increase. Nitghtey Night has just picked up his third (T)KO of the Tournament, round of applause for Davey Hilton for making it as long as he did though. Knights completely Destroyed Hilton Jr in the Clinch as Davey just could not keep the fight on the ground for very long. Nightey has proved he has some good Ground skills defensively in his last two fights. This 135-pound final is going to be a contrast in styles with these two American fighters. Nightey likes to stay on the outside but when someone drags him into the clinch, they quickly realize it was a terrible Decision almost immediately. Nightey has had some struggles with ground fighters, one of those was Davey Hilton Jr though, and you see how he handled that rematch. The #1 seed Kodiyak is just one fight away from his ultimate Goal, he just has this final man standing in his way. Redd has primarily been a Submission finisher, but he has showed he also has Striking abilities this Tournament (Both on the Ground and Standing). The questions that will be answered here is can Redd keep Nights on the ground and how long will he last be standing toe to toe with Nights. Pick of the Judas: Nightey Nights My sleeper pick is still in this biatch. Redd has a hell of a ground game no doubting that at all. I just think he will have some problems in this one though, as Manager Scottie too Hottie has got this Michael Jackson look alike firing on all cylinders.

  39. Bellicose 113 24 JUNE 2022 New York Liberty Dome Prelims Shimura Tenko (0-2) vs Ieuan Thomas (0-3) Hey, we get kicked off tonight by a couple of guys who have been kicked down. But look at the bright side, one of these two guys will walk away with their first ever win! Thomas is most of a striker while Tenko is more of a grappler. Outlaw’s Pick – Tenko wins via TKO (GnP) Russian Bear (1-0) vs Carey Bolden (1-5) Albeit another low end battle between two relative unknowns, this is an interesting match up. Bear is brand new off the block 384k fighter who’s focused on wrestling, much like Tenko from the former fight. His opponent, Bolden, is more spread out with a focus on boxing but overall much underskilled as a 381k fighter. That, coupled with the fact that his morale is about 60% should make this an easy 2-0 start for Bear. Outlaw’s Pick – Bear wins via Sub Nixon Mesquita (5-2) vs Ingo Szopa (0-1) Mesquita is a one dimensional fighter, and that dimension is all his; BJJ. He holds a brown belt and has already racked up 4 submissions wins because of it. Across from him will be a mere blue belt in Szopa, however, Szopa will have a huge wrestling advantage that he will use to attempt to neutralize the BJJ prowess of Mesquita. This is a hard fight to pick, even by guessing on. Szopa’s chin was tested and found wanting in his only fight but Mesquita is not a chin hunter. On the other hand, we don’t know if Szopa has the ability to defend on the ground or finish their either as we only have 13 seconds of film on him. Outlaw’s Pick – Why not go out on a broken limb and see if it holds? Szopa wins via decision. Artem Klitschko (2-3) vs Tommy Harnick (1-1) If looking at these two guys skill sets, you’d expect them to be higher up on this card. However, neither have had a ton of fights under their belts as they have been focused on training a little more than some of the other fighters in the division. Klitschko is coming off two tough losses and has really focused on shoring up some short comings in training, although his camp says that he hasn’t progressed as much as they would have liked to have seen. Don’t get me wrong, he’s progressed, just not at the pace his camp had hoped. He is a pretty balanced fighter who prefers to stand and bang, as is evident by his submission loss last outing, and will most definitely be looking to avoid the takedown against Harnick tonight. Harnick is the opposite of Klitschko in fighting style. He is proficient in striking, but he will no doubt look to take the fight to the ground and keep it there and force a tap out. His sensational wrestling and brown belt in BJJ are his bread and butter and he will look to impose his will against his former teammate, Klitschko. Outlaw’s Pick – Harnick wins via submission Richard Laithwaite (3-0) vs Marc Magomedov (1-2) Laithwaite is undefeated and will probably stay that way. No need to go into a skill breakdown or anything else since Magomedov comes into this fight ill prepared and low morale and looking to hand out the easy win. Good luck, Richard! You’re NOT going to need it! Outlaw’s Pick – Laithwaite wins via submission Chris Pauschi (2-0) vs Jeff Lee (2-2) Pauschi is fairly new to the MMA cage with his 2-0 record on the line against Jeff Lee, who has twice the fights under his belt. Pauschi is a gifted fighter with a solid striking game highlighted by his boxing prowess. His opponent is not quite the boxer, but is a sensational Muay Thai artist who also holds a solid edge in Wrestling. This could be a clinch war dominated by Lee from the looks of it, but never count out a boxer’s chance to land that vicious KO strike at any moment. Outlaw’s Pick – Lee wins via TKO Jim Johnathan (6-4) vs Excalam Black (0-0) Normally, this fight would be considered the first fight of the main card. However, this is just not the case here. With Black stepping into the cage for the first time in his professional career and going against a fighter with 10 fights under his belt, this will be an easy fight for many to overlook. Johnathan is a grappler with a focus on wrestling, but his skills are not anything spectacular to look at. He’s not much of a striker and only holds a purple belt, so without his wrestling, he really has no way to get it done. Yet, he’s managed to win 6 fights. He’s much older, coming in at 28 years old, and this veteran will be looking to introduce the youngster to MMA in a most discomforting way. Black, however, is a youngster coming to see what he can do in the cage and prove himself. He is jumping off the deep end in taking on a fighter who is 8 years his elder, but when you look at the skill set, these two guys match up very well. Black is also not much of a striker, but his skills still overshadow those of Johnathan in that area. He is actually a better wrestling than Johnathan with exceptional wrestling, and holds a purple belt in BJJ to match Johnathan’s skills there. In all, Black meets or exceeds all of Johnathan’s skills on paper and will now look to introduce himself to the rest of the MMA world as he puts those skills to use against the wile old vet. Outlaw’s Pick – Black wins via decision Main Card Butch Cassidy (4-2) vs Marcus Vinicius (4-2) Now, for our first official main card fight! This fight pits two young up and coming stars who both carry a 4-2 record into the cage tonight against each other and it’s sure to be fireworks. Cassidy is a striker with 2 TKO and 2 decision wins under his belt, and is riding that 4 fight win streak into this fight with his head held high. His opponent is very similar as he’s also a great striker with his emphasis being on boxing which is head over shoulders better than Cassidy’s, but that’s about all he brings to the table. He's going to hit you, and hit you a lot and try to either KO you or score enough points with the judges to sway them into his favor. It’s worked so far as he’s riding a 3 fight win streak into this fight. This will be an exciting fight that will stay on the feet and see two guys teeing off on each other. Vinicius hasn’t shown that KO power but also has a granite chin so he will not go down easy. Cassidy hasn’t had his chin tested yet and also has a granite chin, so I do not expect to see a KO in this fight, but I hear first hand that Cassidy’s camp would love nothing more than an early stoppage. Outlaw’s Pick – Cassidy wins via decision Co-Main Event Super Heavyweight Title Fight Arthur “The Hound” Douglas (7-2) vs Nuufo Seanoa (5-2) We had a short main card, and mainly because we have two outstanding title fights in store and it all gets started with this one. Douglas has been the star of the 265+ division after his devastating KO over Mfer to capture the title back at Bellicose 88. He defended against Oren at 100 and now will look to defend again against Seanoa. This fight also has history as this is the second coming of the Douglas vs Seanoa fight with Douglas getting the KO in their first ever meeting in his Bellicose debut. Now, there’s a little twist in this though. Douglas’s last loss came to Lewis Clark (right after that Seanoa win) and Seanoa is coming off a win in his last fight against then undefeated Lewis Clark. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing! This fight will be a war! These two big men are ready to throw down and burn the building down around them. Douglas is a stone cold killer and welcomes Seanoa back in for a second helping of knuckle pie! But don’t you dare, not for one second, count out Seanoa as this angry Samoan has been a fucking terror in the HW division and calling out his management, Bellicose staff, and anyone else who would listen to tell them all how under valued he is. He’s proven everyone that doubted him wrong and a win tonight would not only avenge a huge loss in his career, it would also reward him with a division title that nobody can discredit. Outlaw’s Pick – I never do this.. I mean, I NEVER do this! I always pick for the champ, and I still have a strong feeling that Douglas is going to win. But, something in the pit of my stomach says that this is Nuufo’s time and he’ll get the revenge he seeks. I may be jinxing his poor manager, Hare, with this pick, but I will go against the grain and say Seanoa wins via submission! Main Event Heavyweight Title Fight Keywon Reeves (7-1) vs Prokop Pustik (7-3) And our MAAAAIIIINNNN EEVVVEEEENNNNTTTT! Reigning, undisputed, heavyweight champion of the world, Keywon Reeves will put his gold on the line against challenger Prokop Pustik! Not many fights could find themselves ahead of the co-main, but this one will do just that! Reeves is on a 7 fight win streak and this will be the first time he steps into the cage without the influence of his long time manager Optimal. He will instead be accompanied by his new manager Bjorn, who also manages another of Bellicose’s brightest stars, Rak Boonliang. So you know he’s in good hands! Reeves is a devastating striker, one of the best in the business with both sensational boxing and Muay Thai skills. He's proven to have enough wrestling to keep the fight standing or avoid trouble when he ends up on the ground, and he’ll surely be tested in that area tonight. His opponent, Pustik is not going to want and stand and bang with the champ or this will be an early night for him. He’s a sensational wrestler with a brown belt, and completely dominates the champ on the ground when it comes to skills. So there’s absolutely no doubt that Pustik’s #1 objective in this fight is to get the fight on the ground or he has no chance in hell of winning. However, if he does manager to get the fight on the ground, the champ will be in for the toughest test of his career to date and this fight will mark a milestone on the champ’s career. Outlaw’s Pick – I can’t go against the grain twice. Pustik will have a HUEG advantage on the ground, but I just don’t think this fight gets to the ground fast enough and I think the champ comes in looking for the first round KO. Reeves wins via KO.

  42. Dynasty MMA Weekend Primer DMMA has another two-event weekend lined up for The H2......Oh no we are not at the H20 Arena this weekend. This weekend we head down the road to Knights Court with an insane lineup of Gore and Violence that would make Vlad the Impaler himself come to his knees in praise. This evening I will Take a look at the top 6 matchup's this weekend starting with the DMMA 116 event this Saturday Misha Hasselhoff vs Seppo Ilmarinen What better way to start then with the most meaningful matchup of the weekend? This 205-pound contest will decide who is next for Camaras Account's next title defense. Both of these gentlemen have fought there ways back to the title picture and both will be looking to avenge a past lost to the current champ. Former Champion Misha Hasselhoff has won his last two fights since dropping his belt to Account. Misha looked great through two rounds with Account, until a perfectly timed Hook landed right on his temple. Misha has won his last two contest with devastating KOs in round 1. Seppo on the other hand has recently bounced back from his defeat to camara, taken a Unanimous Decision over Yar Bol last month. Ilmarinen did not fair quite as well against the champ as his counterpart Hasselhoff did. This will be this duo's first time facing off as Germany meets Finland for a shot at the Light Heavyweight Title. Ray Luciano vs Macca Outback With the Middleweight Title jumping around like it has, these two former Middleweight champs are very much in the Picture currently. For "Lucky" Luciano he has been battling the inconsistency bug as of late. Now on a one-win streak he needs to get a big win here to get himself back to the top. His last win was over a game Salomon Mukunzi whom he just got by with a Split Decision verdict. Meanwhile Macca Outback has not fought since his title loss to Ansis Kaupens at DMMA 106. Previously Outback was on a nice four fight win streak including his Title winning performance against Kareem Johnson. We may very well see the winner here face of with the Winner of the DMMA 117 Main Event next. Xavier Washington vs Tau Masunwendinghamar This final matchup i will be looking at for DMMA 116 may not have any title implications connected quite yet for these two guys but it does look like a fight that could bring the roof off the Knights Court. Two very aggressive and powerful strikers will face off in a Heavyweight contest, enough said there yeah. Xavier 7 wins, and 7 Knock Outs, he was on a nice three fight streak until his recent TKO loss to KT Panda, meanwhile this will be Tau Masunwendinghamar's debut fight with DMMA. A former Blaze brothers Heavyweight, the man dubbed "The Black Terror" has finished all 11 of his wins with Knockouts as well. Vitali Kersikov I I vs Anthony Lalime Kicking of the DMMA 117 primer will be two Light Heavyweights looking to improve their status in the 205-pound title picture. First up one of those DEADLY Kersikov boys who recently had an impressive four fight win streak snapped. That derail was at the hands of former Light Heavyweight Title Challenger Devonte Pinks, in a fight he had Pinks in big trouble towards the end of round 1. Anthony Lalime will be the other fighter in this contest, and he is now 4-2 here at Dynasty. Coming off a KOTN performance Lalime needs another strong showing here if he wants to put his name up there with some of the elite at 205. Gwynn Evans vs Gustav Harakka Gwynn Evans will be making his Welterweight debut this weekend, the onetime C-4 Middleweight champion was extremely close to crack the #1 contender spot at 185. Evans was on a four-fight win streak when Rectal Thermometer slithered in for his annual check, sending Gwynn back down the ranks. Now at 170 Evans is in a golden position as he meets a three-time title challenger. Gustav has now become the Max Holloway of this DMMA 170 pound, falling short to the Australian Jaxon Magrath 3 times now, Harakka is the guy if there was no Magrath around would most definitely be the champ at some point. After shutting down Eric Brook's in his last bout, he now looks to send another contender to the drawing board. Raphaël Ambrosius Costeau vs Raminus Polus Raphael Ambrosius "Tequila Sunrise" Costeau has been on a tear, going 3-1-1 in his last 5 bouts. Raphael's last fight was sort of a breakthrough fight for him as his beat former 185 title challenger Minoari Amida with a 1rst round TKO finish just 22 days ago. "Battlemage" Raminus Polus is back for his third contest at his new weight class, and the former CWMMA Welterweight Champion is looking to get back on track. Polus had a successful debut at 185, but then went head-to-head with the former 185-pound champ Kareem Johnson who beat him handily by Unanimous Decision. Both of these guys look hungry and have the Eye of the Liger going right now, as they seek that coveted 185 pound belt here at Dynasty.
