  1. @Mentor - all the same game, no second server etc... Just a total revamp of the site and code to bring it up to the next level. You never know in future about a second server but that's not in the immediate plans. I'll be sending out a mass mail welcoming Vlad on board in a min... I'm very happy to have him on board and I'm sure you guys all will be too, when you see the updates start rolling out

  2. Hello fellow Managers! I’m Vlad, the latest addition to the MMATycoon team! I've been talking to Mike about buying a stake in MMA Tycoon for some time and we've just signed off on a 50% buy-in which sees me coming on board full-time as lead developer. My job will be to turbocharge all areas of our beloved game with over a decade’s worth of software development experience. We’re talking a total overhaul: Faster, slicker, and more fleshed out across the board. My focus will be to create new features and modernized classics with a vision of kick-starting the dawn of MMATycoon 2.0! Since 2011, I’ve been on Tycoon – from leading my own orgs to selling avatars and clothing. My journey’s had its ups and downs but I keep coming back for more of this timeless managerial experience. Now it's time for me to get involved and make it even better 🌐 The MMATycoon 2.0 Vision: We’re shifting the game’s guts to a sleek new PHP framework with a total site redesign. Smoother gameplay Mobile Friendly Lightning-fast performance And awesome features and content. 🛠 What’s in It for You? While we’re busy crafting MMATycoon 2.0, we’re not leaving the current game in the dust. Expect continuous upgrades – cleaner looks, snappier actions and fresh features rolling out, all while we will run dual versions to make the switch seamless. The old ways are making way for a new era, and you’ll start seeing changes sooner than you think. ⏳ Timeline? The initial phase of cloning the site in our new tech wonderland will take a few months, followed by a phase dedicated to design and functional evolution. 🔄 So, We Just Wait? Hell no! Got questions and ideas? We'll have a new section in the forum for discussions and we'll be keeping you up to date on all the developments as they go. Welcome to the start of MMA Tycoon 2.0! 💪

  3. It would be cool if there could be different types of head kick KO's for high level strikers.... for example spinning heel kicks, tornado kicks, front kicks etc. Same thing could be done for body kick TKO's if they end up getting added. The fancy ones like the tornado for example could be locked behind a "gate" where the fighter would need 15+ kicks and MT before they could pull the KO off. This idea is far from perfect but with a bit more thought it sounds like a pretty reasonable addition. Pros: More variety when it comes to high level KT and MMA fights that end via head kick KO. Cons: .....

  5. Not important at all but I think that it would be nice to have the option to have a dark mode for MMAT, doesn't seem like it would be too hard to add in since the forums have a dark mode.

  6. Well this is exciting; I might have to make my way back on in.

  7. Like him or not, CK added a lot to the game via the forums. I don't feel this sort of cancel culture is the right way to go about things. Was the comment out of line? Sure. But I think banning him from the forums negatively impacts everyone, not really CK. The game needs guys like CK. I miss the Jackie and Stu's of years past. They were the villains and added an element to the game. Just my two cents.

  8. Having confidence is great, but seeing it pop on TotT means fighter's chin is under 100 and KO power is under 100. That said, the fighter could also learn super fast (test that too, BTW), may never get injured, may have a higher age skill degradation, may not cut hardly at all, etc. And to top it off, they could have a 99 chin and 99 KO power.

  9. This is great news. Long live MMAT!

  10. That is good, as a second server could actually kill everything, the game lacks a big enough core to have 2 or more servers. As for Vlad, i think he is a great addition to the team, a person who knows the game very well and also has the enthusiasm and necessary skills to add to the game.

  11. Here's the state of play for KT at STRIKE! 135: No Champion yet Koos Van Asch has seperated himself from the pack at 135, going 2-0 in his time at STRIKE!, with a late career renaissance as a KT fighter. He's earned himself a chance to be the first 135 champion of STRIKE! He'll face off against the highly touted veteran, previously from Heroes and Stepping Stone KT, Bardia Farrokhzad at a yet to be determined card. 145 C - Leon Bowser Leon Bowser became the inaugural 145 champion of STRIKE! after defeating Carlos Narvaez at STRIKE 1 in a closely fought contest. The two faced off again over the weekend in another close one, with the judges unable to seperate the two combatants - allowing Bowser to retain the title in a drawn contest. The two fighters will no doubt see each other again down the line, but for now the division must move on. Whealer Van Hire, who scraped by perennial KT contender, Franko De Cremonesi, in a split decision, earned himself the next shot at Boswer's 145 belt. 155 C - No Champion yet Marco "Pendejo" Salamanca has brought his reputation as the king of 155 over from Heroes and will get a crack at the vacant 155 title immediately, with his first fight at STRIKE! being for the championship. He'll face off against Elbow Zombie Chai, from the famed Master Chai's Dojo. The young fighter has earned himself a shot after an impressive run at Heroes, and an equally impressive win in his STRIKE! debut. 170 - No Champion yet The 170 division is starting to heat up, and two strikers have emerged out of the fire. Iaspero Yalixqua will face off against "The Stylemaker" Ngozi Chai to be the first 170 Champion of STRIKE! Both fighters earned their shot with impressive victories in their STRIKE! debut. 185 C - Kenny Smith KT superstar Kenny Smith bounced back, after a shock title-fight loss to Ichigho Kurosaki at STRIKE! 1, to claim the 185 strap off the young phenom in their rematch. This sets up an epic trilogy fight between Smith and Kurosaki, to find out who is KT's best 185er! 205 C - Tomahawk Chai vs Beta Tua This weekend at STRIKE! 4 see's the return of KT legend Beta Tua. Tua had an undeafeated reign at Heroes, solidifying his status as the sports pound for pound king in the process. In his short absence, Tomahawk became the first 205 champ of STRIKE!, and it's a title he believes is rightfully his, and is hellbent on proving this to the world. The two will battle it out for 205 supremacy, this weekend, at STRIKE 4 265 - No Champion yet The 265 title is wide open, and waiting for a champion to emerge. This weekend see's Hans Schultz fight Bronze Bomber Chai, and Johnny Waldron face off against Lee Van Camp. The winners of these two matchups will likely meet for a shot at 265 glory. STAY TUNED!

  12. There are literally no bigger conquests left for Mr Pickles. Maybe next time he will have to fight TWO 300lb fighters in one weekend?

  14. The Battle of Miami!!!! VS Just now a literal huge fight went down!! Many thought Mr. Pickle had gone inactive but the fact is that this Battle took place over Buzz feeds before it hit the ring!!! Take a look at some of this exchange!! Mark "King Kong Dong" Arkinson (372382) "Pickles are gross and disgusting. All they are is cucumbers soaked in vinegar. Should change his name to Mr. Small cucumber because that's what the fuck he is." "Mr. Pickle" Edward Mills (360004)"No wonder you hate Pickles! My god Sir you have been making them wrong. Don't Worry Mr. Pickle is her to teach you how to do it properly. Its more then just Cucumbers and Vinegar. Try this tasty recipe!! I think you'll soon learn to love Pickles! 12 to 14 Persian cucumbers or 8 to 10 pickling cucumbers 4 garlic cloves, halved 2 teaspoons mustard seeds 2 teaspoons peppercorns a few good-sized dill sprigs, per jar 2 cups water 2 cups distilled white vinegar ¼ cup cane sugar 2 tablespoons sea salt" The Day finally landed and talk needed to come to an end. The Larger then life personality fought the larger then life fighter! The Match ended with 527lbs of dead weight hitting the canvas. All Hail the King!! All Hail Mt. Pickle!!

  16. Stemming from discussions with Mr Deflated Balls himself, CK, we suspect accumulated injury days may have some influence. I have had granites with 500+ accumulated days that started being pretty chinny (though maybe his heart wasn't the best who knows). Why else would that figure be tracked I suppose... and it correlates with more fights each guy has under their belt. I wouldn't be too much in favour of making everything too visual in terms of the specific formulas and nuts and bolts. Would turn a game that is already pretty min-max into more of one. There is some value in a little bit of fuzz, variance, and mystery. Anyway, going off topic a bit I suppose.

  17. Id cut it down to 12. You don’t need to be elite to throw these type of kicks. and also maybe an option to have a more flashier style that would unlock these kicks. Flashy vs. Traditional

  18. Not going to say what we specifically can or cannot see since that would be information multi-accounters could abuse, but wherever we spot patterns that look like obvious rule abuse we raise it internally for Mike to investigate, issue for him is always gonna be the sheer time it takes.

  21. This sounds great, maybe the only viable way forward to have this game prosper again instead of dying. I've been saying Mike should sell the game rather than have it die, happy to see a solution where he is still around. Technical improvements, ok nice. But what is your vision on overall game design? And working on all the code especially the fight engine, does that mean your days as a player is over?

  22. We have a few plans that we will be revealing with our road map - one of them touches on fighter training so more on that soon I don't mind pooling VIP days for the Non-VIP managers - there would have to be a cut-off as it might become tricky to micromanage but how does 30 days sound?

  23. Happy to see some planned upgrades and a revamp. I think speeding up the time it takes to develop a fighter from 18yo prospect to Elite across the board should be at the top of the priority list and would go along way in helping to keep players engaged and retaining new players for longer than a month or so. Would also help in leveling out the playing field between a new manager and managers that have been around for years and have a full orster of fully developed fighters.

  24. Sounds great! Surely no.1 on the issues to sort out is fixing KT hype! Not that I have a vested interested as a KT owner of course haha

  25. Hello, does this mean that we keep the current game, but there will be another server/second version of this game? Or does this mean that the current game will work on multiple platforms and be more optimised? Either way, welcome aboard!

  26. Not quite. The hierarchy means that whatever is higher masks whatever is below. So for example, your guy might have a granite chin AND KO power indicators, but his granite chin (and insane flexibility on the left hand side TOTT when his flex is high enough) will disguise that. That's why people test early before they train too many physicals, as those can disguise things. It's then a double edged sword. Your granite chin might actually also qualify for 'cuts easily' and otherwise have no power or heart, but you'd not know unless you test/fight a bit as his granite chin will disguise any other messages at the start. You can use the general hierarchy to deduct what your fighter may or may not have. If he shows BRH/HH/KO Power then he obviously doesn't have a granite chin, but he may or may not have a solid chin. If he shows big heart, since that's quite far down the list, you'd know that he doesn't have that good a chin and he may not have great KO power (depending on which side of the TOTT he's on and what his punches are trained up to) - but at least he'd have good heart which is actually pretty important too. Granite chin means you have 130+ out of 150 possible chin points in hiddens, KO power is 130+, Heavy Handed and BRH is 100+ (though with BRH, if you see that instead of KO power, you can narrow it down to 101-130 KO power). Sometimes you'll see Lethal High Kicks which is also 100+ power (and is on the 2nd line, so sometimes you can still see this even with granite disguising stuff). Solid/Good chin is 101-130 chin. Those are the main ones. However, be aware that things like BRH/HH/LHK all need some secondary skills alongside having those hiddens. BRH/HH need punches and LHK needs kicks. KO power does not need this, but only appears on the left. That's why sometimes if a fighter tests on both sides early enough, he can show a KO power/solid chin combo. Other things to watch out for are the fighter introductions. Sometimes it'll say 'such and such has the power to get to X chin' or 'both these guys have really solid chins'. The really solid chins tends to indicate both guys have at least good/solid chins. Either they're both good/solid, one is good/solid and one is granite, or both are granite. The Y has the power to get to X chin doesn't always mean that guy has great KO power, just that it's higher (by an inch or a mile) than the other guy's chin. Thus, if you see that message against an opponent who you can see has a solid chin, then you'd know you have at least 102+ KO power minimum. Or, you can use it in combination with retired guy's hiddens revealed to deduct more accurate pictures (which is how you can figure out my former #1 p4p guy has less than 70 chin despite being a HW).
