  1. I always thought that was the idea and I actually like having some randomness and bad decisions in there just like irl.
  2. I have no tournament ideas, but I have free slots right now..
  3. Ouch, never seen anyone do that when i bought laundry myself. I will just send one big transfer. Buy from Toshi instead if you want max efficiency.
  4. I don't have much experience with these things, but I think I could offer close to 2mil right now. Would prefer someone who can buy all of it.
  5. Super Macho Man: 4 tournament matches, still haven't tapped and not planning to.
  6. I was away for most of the year, but when I came back CK seemed to be sitting pretty much unchallenged in that #1 spot so he should maybe be in the run?
  7. Yes it sucks when you just want to get some new fights and the game is moving slow. But then I sometimes also have other things to do than micromanage my tycoon guys. Imagine missing to set training for a week or two and your guy miss 6 months of development How would it work with skill depops? If you only increase training speed to such levels it would overtake depops and we will see 60+ seniors rule open id. Or if you decrease depops to the same level guys who went without a fight for a couple weeks won't even remember how to put their gloves on, forget picking up FA:s. And yes no more 25yo:s since the 18 guys would catch up in just a couple weeks. Energy loss may need to be adjusted as well. I think it is not as easy as just increase the training speed and live happily ever after.. which is probably why it hasn't been done yet.
  8. Has it ups and downs. I came back a while ago and sometimes I feel things are too slow. But a lot of it is not really the training speed. I'm ok with the slow pace of the game as long as the community is active. But less people around makes everything feel more drawn out. The lack of good id orgs for new fighters before 400K made me wish I had some open id fighters and contributes to the feeling that the road to get there is too long. Increase training speed, sure could fix part of the problem, possibly create some new ones. But the real problem in my opinion is not having enough active players around.
  9. Balder Bull Jr: Oh they used to do just that. Back when some Tokyo orgs were running fixed fights and a fighter didn't follow through on the agreement.. heard some stories from my father. Not that it happened to him, took his dives when he had to.. lucky for me I guess or I wouldn't be here now.
  10. And you never know, could be another tournament in the next couple months
  11. The skill gap between 400 - 402K is much smaller compared to 398 - 400K. We had a lot of fighters created on the id turn and then we also had Island season started. I think you can still make guys that are viable at 400K and we should not break this id up. I rather not have the same thing again as with all the 397, 398, 399K etc. orgs falling apart.
  12. Isn't the owner the same guy who did some dev work on the game a while back? Definitely sounds like a bug, maybe he was testing something with his own org.
  13. If you link your ingame profile here on your forum user it makes it a bit easier to message you
  14. Balder Bull Jr: No one in this tournament got a head as smooth and shiny as mine. And you are gonna see a lot more of it because no one has experienced the full power of the Bull yet.
  15. Yes Darce is what you do without the gi so I think the text should have that instead.
  16. There is no requirement to do QFC fights before getting a contract. But most people do that anyway, if nothing else to see what the "Tale of the tape" properties say about their fighter. If they for example show "Granite chin" there that is a very good sign. If you know a kickboxing org you would like to join I recommend you message the owner and include the fighter id.
  17. Great Tiger: Tiger uppercut finish? I have now found a new goal with my MMA career.
  18. For the second open id option, will it still be limited to 25yo builds only if you go with that?
  19. Game needs an active owner or it will die. Any continued tie ins to BetMMA or the work to sever the links could be regulated in the sale contract. I wish Mike would come back and be active again, but the more likely option is he won't. So yes, find someone with php skills willing to run it sounds like it could be a win for everyone involved. Not as easy of course, but there is an established community, a functioning revenue stream even if small but with the potential for growth given some dev effort and marketing.
  20. Making a few different rule sets available like kickboxing, MT, K1 with some different rules for such things like clinch breaks, elbows allowed etc. that should not be too far away from what current KT does. And for simplicity all of them could count on the record as KT. Could add some variation and support immersion for orgs that run with different themes. Would be nice to have a dedicated MT org for example.
  21. Boxing by stripping away everything but punches from the current fight engine just becomes a very one-dimensional thing without much room for slider tactics. I think it would just suck and not draw much interest at all. The right way to do it in my opinion would be to add some additional boxing specific sliders to fine-tune the punching game further. And of course some fight engine adaptations to go with it like how the scoring is different for grappling. Adjust things like lower the punching power to reflect thicker gloves and allow for longer matches. Could maybe draw some players from the boxing community as well, would let us arrange some tycoon crossover fights between the sports Even if boxing specific sliders are added the fighter builds would still be completely one-dimensional. This just isn't a boxing game and will never be a good one without some serious thought and development effort. If that happened, sure I would try it out, but boxing as an even more handicapped version of the original game than KT already is, I see no point in that.
  22. Mac: Hey, wake up! Bull: ZZZZZZZ... Mac: It's fight day, what are you doing still in bed? Bull: Uh, what? That was yesterday, I already trashed that guy, let me sleep. Mac: Idiot, that was some guy from the club yesterday, I've been dealing with the japanese police since then. Don't tell me you went on drinking, you told me just one for the nerves. Bull: Eh, needed one more maybe, my first fight, big tournament and all. Mac: Shit, we haven't even gone over the gameplan, come one, get dressed now. Bull: Nah, I got a headache, I'll just pick that fucker up and slam ko him so I can go back to bed. Mac: Eh, well he certainly wouldn't expect that, but..
  23. It doesn't explain this on the VIP page, but I think it is correct that you need to be VIP to own or hold any job in for example an organization. And the VIP trial doesn't help, it gives you most of the VIP benefits but not all of them like doing things with companies.
  24. A bloody GOAT it is. Proud to have been in the opposite corner from him a number of times back in the days. Too bad his manager cannot be here to give a proper speech.
  25. The only way he will ever earn money out of this game is a larger player base. That in turn would require some effort and investment before getting to that point. Not necessarily paying money for a developer (though that would also help of course), but investing some of his own time to engage with the existing community, starting the occasional Island season and such.. and doing some marketing. There is some low-hanging fruit like updating the texts around flights and locations that are constantly confusing new players, I don't think a paid developer is needed for that. Just being around showing some activity around 400K, sending out a message to inactive players to let them know we have a big id turn and this is the time to come back. Getting more players in and keeping them has the bonus effect of automatically making the game better for everyone without a single dev hour. If that is not something Mike believes in or has the time for I think he should look to sell the game. One guy with some coding knowledge and a little motivation could certainly bring it back to life again.
