Hello ladies and gentlemen I’m Dale McCann. On tonight’s episode of MEET THE MAN we have an interview with the former GAMMA 185lbs ex-champion Ejnar Thorsen.

DM- Welcome Ejnar how was your trip to the studio?

ET- Hey Dale thanks for having me, it was ok traffic is really bad out there.

DM- HAHA I know it can get that way some times. So let’s get down to business and give the fans what they want to hear.

Q. You’re going into your 11th GAMMA fight and 4th Title defence on Saturday. How has the Organization treated you?

A. I believe the Org has treated me great. I have been a fan of Gamma for a while now. My head trainer Doc Thomas fought here so I was hoping to get a chance to fight for this Org when I started training MMA.

Q. Yeah we all remember doc he seems to be getting the best of you and knows the organisation and how it works as well that experience is all ways a bonus. What do you think of your upcoming Opponent and how do you think the fight will go?

A. I think Usain Watts is one of the best 185lb fighters in the world and he was a great champ. I believe this fight will be a lot different than the first one to be honest I think he kind of under estimated me a bit which I think affected his training coming into are first fight. As far as how I think the fight will go? Well I think it’s going to be my toughest fight ever but in the end I believe I will get my hand raised because that is the only way you can think when you go into a fight. I really don't make predictions but I can tell you for sure this fight won’t go the same way as the last one.

Q. Everyone’s saying he’s been doing extra time in the gym for this one and has left no stoned unturned I’m really looking forward to this fight. So what’s you’re most memorable moment in your MMA Career?

A. A lot of fighters would say winning the belt for the first time would be there most memorable moment but for me it wasn't winning the belt it was winning the fight against Raz Matazz who is a fighter I watched before I started fighting in MMA. To be honest he was kind of the reason I decided to do MMA. He was so dominate when he was the Gamma Champ. I told myself I wanted to be just like him. So to be able to get into the cage with him was a honour. To be honest when I got the call to fight him I was really nervous. I would have to say that was my most memorable Moment so far.

Q. Yeah Raz was a bit of an Icon in GAMMA what a legend but beating him you landed yourself the title shot and wouldn’t be here today. How many fights do you have left on your contract and do you intend to stay on?

A. I have 4 fights left and I plan on staying here as long as they will have me and I can perform up to my standards.

Q. Well I’m sure Mentor will want to resign you you’re a top quality fighter. Who would you like next?

A. To be honest I don't think about that right now. My focus is on Usain at this moment. After this fight whoever Gamma's Match Maker thinks I should fight is who I will fight.

GAMMA #382 - CUSTER VERSUS VICTORIO PREVIEW

MARCH 16, 2014 GAMMA #382 WOMBLEY ARENA, LONDON

This promises to be a great night of MMA action as the Light Heavyweight Championship is on the line between two champions! Jesse Custer steps into the cage against the ever-dangerous Jonny Victorio with both men wearing championships around their waists! The Co-Main Event features Alfred Hammarskjold battling Mizushima Muroi – whose name sounds like a new motorcycle or a cool new electronic gadget, and the final Main Card event brings us Mr. Black – a very simple yet mysterious name – standing across the cage from Jesse

Wolf! So, without further ado…let’s get down to business!

MAIN EVENT: LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – “PREACHER” JESSE CUSTER (15-3) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus JONNY “THE ANGEL” VICTORIO (39-15-1) OF THE FINNFIGHTERS

The Main Event brings champion versus champion, a situation that does not occur all that often! What a treat this fight will be between two tremendous fighters! One aspect that is immediately noticeable is the amount of fighting experience Victorio brings to this battle. That's a man that has seen many a war in the cage and there's nothing that will surprise him. However, that doesn't mean the very smooth moving Custer isn't able to handle business, because he obviously can do so, and has done so.

Custer is the heavier of the two, Victorio the lighter, so the fight plan that their respective management teams develop may be the most important key for either man. Custer has nine years of youth on his side so he may try to push the level of energy and aggression as high as he can, keeping constant pressure on Victorio. Victorio will obviously know how to counter that situation because he's been down that road many times, but it doesn't mean Custer won't be able to make things tight for Victorio!

Each warrior steps into this fight on a FOUR FIGHT WIN STREAK so even that is equal between the two. Bottom line: This may boil down to who wants to impose their will on the other the most. This is definitely a tough fight to call because of the skill level involved from both combatants. For Victorio, I expect him to try and keep Custer at a distance where he can utilize his excellent boxing ability. For Custer, I expect him to look to use his weight advantage and take this fight to the ground where he can lean his weight on Victorio while softening him up for the potential submission finish.

Fights like this are extremely difficult to call, but I have been asked to prognosticate an outcome.
Furious Styles' Prediction: Custer by Unanimous Decision

MAIN CARD EVENT: ALFRED “GRANITEN” HAMMARSKJOLD (22-10) OF TEAM OUTKAST versus MIZUSHIMA “GIANT HEAD” MUROI (18-11-1)

This Super Heavyweight fight highlights one man that is built like a tank in Hammarskhold, while the other is built like a wrecking ball in Muroi! Neither of these fighters are particularly tall for the amount of weight they carry, so immediately I believe the man who doesn't gas out the fastest has the best chance of winning this fight! Carrying that amount of weight is taxing so not only does each fighter have to bring a high level of conditioning to this battle, but they also have to pick and choose their spots wisely.

Both fighters have enjoyed a good amount of success in their careers, but there may be an x factor here. Hammarskjold has won and defended championship gold before, so that high level experience may come into play for this particular fight. Thus far, Muroi has fallen short of winning a title a few times and while that's frustrating I'm certain, that also means he has the ability to make it to the big dance. This may be the time for him to punch his big ticket.

I fully expect some serious bombs to be dropped in this fight and will not be surprised if one of these warriors is knocked the hell out in the first round! Like two rhinos going head-to-head, someone is going to get leveled. However, Hammarskjold has shown tremendous skill on the ground and he may very well have the strength and skill to take this fight to the ground. If that happens, his superior BJJ could sway the result very heavily in his favor!

Furious Styles' Prediction: Murio by KO (Punch) in the 2^nd round

MAIN CARD EVENT: “MAMBO” MR. BLACK (42-20-1) OF THE CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT versus JESSE “BUGMAN” WOLFE (24-12) OF THE CHILDREN OF THE LAW OF ONE

The Lightweight Division steps into the cage of pain and the man who has fought more times than an unhappy couple who get off on fighting, Black, squares off against Wolfe who is also a cage veteran. Each man sports a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK so the momentum is seemingly the same, at least on paper. It's always difficult to determine fully how a fighter feels about a victory over a certain opponent, but winning is winning.

On a side note, I wonder if Mr. Black likes the movie “Reservoir Dogs”, where they have characters whose last names are different colors. Great movie in case you've not seen it. Cavemen Assassins Cult, now that's one of the more interesting names of an Alliance in MMATycoon.com. I may have to ask Mr. Black who came up with that name because it's definitely unique.

Black has shown a very good ability to finish fights, particularly on the ground where he is very comfortable. Wolfe has been involved in a lot of decision battles, an indication that he has the ability to sustain a high level of aggression along with being able to control an opponent on the ground. Since Black is the slightly taller and heavier fighter, he has options that Wolfe may not.

UNDER CARD MAIN EVENT: TIM “GUNNER” SIN (18-9) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “TURK” JOHNNY BRIT (26-17)

The Super Heavyweights continue their impactful night as Sin an Brit face off in the cage! Sin has the better momentum as of late with a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK heading into this confrontation. Brit had a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED at the hands of TJ Cummings. Brit feels Cummings caught him with a lucky punch and wants to prove that his numerous knockouts of his opponents is legitimate! Sin has also demonstrated a propensity to finish off his opponents with strikes as well.

This is a classic battle of the lighter man being the taller man, while the shorter man is heavier and thicker. From what I've seen skill wise, these men are about as even as possible. Both have world class boxing ability and very capable Muay Thai, Wrestling and BJJ skills. Again, this is only from what I've seen and I can't provide in-depth detail because I'm not a member of either fighter's management team.

GAMMA #381 - DUNOWEVIL versus IVEY POST EVENT SUMMARY written by Furious Styles

MARCH 15, 2014 WOMBLEY STADIUM, LONDON

Greetings and salutations fight fans, this is Furious Styles live outside of the Wombley Stadium where an exciting evening of MMA action finished just a short time ago! The ninety-three thousand plus fans are still buzzing about what they saw earlier tonight! One thing is for certain, and that's the fact I'm glad I'm a manager and a columnist, because if I were trying to make a living by guessing the outcome of such great fights, I would lose my job rather quickly.

Sheesh, what a brutal night for me in terms of trying to predict the winners! All right good folks, get settled in, grab some food and a drink, put your thinking caps on...and let's get down to business!

MAIN EVENT: LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT – “HELLBENT” ROGER DUNOWEVIL (26-12) OF THE LEGION OF PAIN versus PHIL IVEY (41-16) OF GRABTHE.INFO

The night kicked off with a bang between two proven Light Heavyweights when “Hellbent” Roger Dunowevil and Phil Ivey locked horns! With a great amount of MMA experience between the two, this match definitely became a cat-and-mouse situation as both warriors looked for the right opportunity to strike and do so as quickly as possible!

Right from the beginning this match looked as if it would be a kicking contest! Dunowevil landed two solid kicks to Ivey's head and in return, Ivey kicked Dunowevil on his head. Dunowevil partially blocked the kick but the impact caused a cut to open over Dunowevil's left eye, an indication of Ivey's kicking strength. After more positioning, Ivey took the fight to the ground. Once on the ground, neither fighter really wanted it to stay there initially and that even prompted the referee to ask for more action from the two.

After more failed attempt by both men to either stand or gain dominant position, the referee stood them up. Both fighters then traded strikes that didn't do much to the other until Ivey unleashed another nasty head kick that rung Dunowevil's bell! Dunowevil gathered himself quickly and it helped that Ivey waved him back to his feet. Dunowevil tried his best to land strikes, but he was seriously dazed by that kick and his striking was ineffective because his balance was completely off!

Ivey took Dunowevil back to the ground when he saw his opportunity and he took complete advantage of the situation. Working diligently to gain full mount, Ivey finally locked that in and once he did, he began to rain down the punches and elbows, hurting Dunowevil and causing him to try and hold on as best as he could. Ivey was relentless with the ground-and-pound attack and just overwhelmed Dunowevil! The referee jumped in to stop the fight and Ivey earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY BY STRIKES! Phil Ivey finds himself back in the win column and will next battle Jesse Custer on April 12! This is TWO LOSSES IN A ROW for Dunowevil so I'm sure he's a little frustrated.

WINNER: PHIL IVEY BY KO (STRIKES), 4:57 OF ROUND 1

Result: Waaaaay off!

MAIN CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: VLADIK FEDOTOV (30-15-12) of THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “RUSTY” RUSS RUTGER (33-15-1) of the FINNFIGHTERS

The first round between these veterans was primarily a clinch dance which neither fighter really had a major advantage in, though not everyone will agree with that assessment. Prior to taking the fight into the clinch, Fedotov was the more effective puncher, a bit of a surprise to some as his boxing abilities are not renowned. Rutger is known as an Elite level boxer and many, myself included, expected him to have a major advantage when it came to punching and technical boxing skills.

Fedotov was able to land clean punches while in the clinch but they weren't damaging strikes by any means, but he was scoring points on the judges' cards and sometimes that's enough. Eventually Rutger was able to pull guard and take the fight to the ground, where he felt he had the advantage, but after a failed attempt at a submission, Fedotov saw his chance to stand back up and he did exactly that, outmaneuvering Rutger in doing so.

After more trading of strikes, misses and positioning, Fedotov finished the round by again putting Rutger into a clinch, but the round ended soon after. Round 2 proved to be even more of a clinch dance with both fighters struggling to gain any serious upper hand over one another. Both men were becoming frustrated with their inability to land clean strikes that caused a lot of damage but they maintained their focus and looked to score points.

Rutger took the fight to the ground near the end of the round and controlled the action from that point, even with the failed guillotine attempt, and took the points for that round. Heading into Round 3, both fighters were urged by their cornermen to step up the pace and take the final round any way they can, because the fight was too close to call.

Fedotov did his best to keep the fight on its feet while Rutger did his best to take it to the ground. Fedotov began the round the way he wanted it and was able to keep it standing for a while, but he wasn't able to take full advantage of that fact and eventually it was Rutger who swayed the action in his favor by taking it to the ground.

Rutger was able to land some ground-and-pound but overall, he put more dents into the mat than into Fedotov's body or face, and Fedotov managed to get out of the ground attack and once again bring the fight to its feet.

Rutger moved too smoothly and quickly for Fedotov and he wasn't able to take advantage of the fight being in the standup again. Rutger eventually positioned himself to take Fedotov down again and the fight finished on the ground where Rutger won comfortably. Rutger puts himself back in the positive side of the win / loss column while Fedotov has a THREE FIGHT WINNING STREAK SNAPPED!

WINNER: RUSS RUTGER BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Furious Styles' Prediction: Rutger by Majority Decision
Result: Correct winner; incorrect manner of winning

MAIN CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: “KASCHEY” ARTEM BESSMERTIN (15-6) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE versus “EL GUAPO” TAZ RUTTEN (27-9-1) of CONVICTED INC.

A classic battle took place between these two as both are highly skilled and accomplished! Rutten made it apparent that he felt he could win this fight on the ground but he was in for one hell of a fight in trying to get that done! Rutten initially wound up in control once he took the fight to the ground, but beautiful work and a lighting fast buck and reversal by Bessmertin turned the situation around very quickly!

Bessmertin managed to take Rutten's back and in doing so, he controlled the action on the ground while landing very timely punches to the sides of Rutten's head and dug some hard punches into his ribs as well. Bessmertin even landed a resounding left hook to Rutten's jaw but Rutten didn't even blink. You could probably hit him in the jaw with a sledgehammer and that wouldn't phase him! Rutten finally managed to get things turned around and wound up in Bessmertin's guard, but he had no time to do much else as the round came to an end.

The second round began with a fine display of defense by both fighters, as well as the ability to land very accurate punches, solid kicks, and also the ability to absorb strikes and keep on coming! It seemed to me that Rutten was getting the better of the standup portion of the second round because he was able to land a few strong strikes, particularly a leg kick that threw Bessmertin off balance momentarily. Bessmertin even absorbed a beautiful spinning back kick from Rutten! However, Bessmertin was able to manage to again take the fight to the ground.

Both men struggled to gain the upper hand on the ground and eventually the referee made them stand due to a lack of action on the ground. After trading misses and sporadic hits, Bessmertin once again took the fight to the ground and the round finished there. It was a very close round in my opinion and many in attendance seemed to agree with that.

The final round was mainly spent on the ground and that meant Bessmertin was in control. Rutten was able to land some ground-and-pound, but the strikes were sporadic. Both fighters managed to sneak an elbow through their opponent's guard, but neither of them were cut open from it so the damage was minimal. Once the final round came to an end, Bessmertin felt confident that he had won the fight, so he was happy that his assumption was correct. He fights his way back into the W column and will battle Adolf Ellenberger on April 13 for his next fight! For Rutten, this is his SECOND LOSS IN A ROW!

WINNER: ARTEM BESSMERTIN BY UNANIMOUS DECISION

Result: Waaaaaaaay off, once again

UNDER CARD MAIN EVENT: AUGUSTE GRIMM (14-4) of TEAM OUTKAST versus “THE LION” NICK SHIELDS (15-4) of GRABTHE.INFO FOR THE FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

This fight was exciting for the entire five rounds and I'm surprised neither fighter ran out of steam in such an intense fight for such a long period of time! The fight featured martial arts action from all perspetives, be it standing, on the ground, submission attempts, ground-and-pound...everything. Both warriors definitely had their individual moments during this fight, but when one looked like he may possibly end it, the opponent managed to stay out of trouble and push the fight onward!

It wasn't until the third round where Grimm was cut open by a sharp right jab from Shields that sliced Grimm over his right eye. Fortunately for him the blood flowed to the outside of the eye and didn't slow him down in the least. Grimm maintained a high level of energy and output, making it easy for the judges to award him the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY! This fight was also deemed FIGHT OF THE NIGHT, so congratulations to both men for putting on one hell of a show!

Grimm has now WON TWO FIGHTS IN A ROW and will battle Ein Stein on April 12! Shields has a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED so he will look to bounce back from this latest setback when he battles Willy Wonka on April 13!

Ellenberger earned KNOCKOOUT OF THE NIGHT honors and pushed his WIN STREAK TO FIVE IN A ROW with this victory while Away finds himself back in the L column! Ellenberger will square off against Artem Bessmertin on April 13 for his next battle!

He has DROPPED TWO FIGHTS IN A ROW, so if another manager decides to take him on, he should be wary of his recent struggles.

GAMMA #382: CUSTER versus VICTORIO SUMMARY written by Furious Styles

Hello all you crazy but cool kids, I hope all of you are well and are ready for another review of a tremendous GAMMA event that took place on March 16! This is your man on the scene, Furious Styles, and I, along with ninety-three thousand plus MMA fans witnessed a fantastic night of action! So, per my usual, grab some food and a drink, make yourselves comfortable, and let's get down to business!

MAIN EVENT: LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – “PREACHER” JESSE CUSTER (16-3) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus JONNY “THE ANGEL” VICTORIO (39-16-1) OF THE FINNFIGHTERS

The Main Event brought the intensity and action that it promised to bring as soon as the match was signed! Early in the fight, Custer let it be known that he wanted to take this fight to the ground, and after a failed clinch attempt by Victorio, that's exactly what Custer did. He then quickly looked to use ground-and-pound to slow down and soften Victorio, but Victorio tried to lock Custer into a guillotine! Custer was far too energetic and his defensive skills too sharp.

That didn't deter Victorio from trying to lock in various submissions but Custer was definitely ready for those, plus he eventually worked himself into a full mount position where he began to land effective strikes from there! Victorio was in a bit of trouble but he managed to defend himself enough to make it out of the opening round, but Custer took the points on the score cards.

Custer began the second round with a lot of energy and again, took the fight to the ground where he was able to continue landing ground-and-pound, sporadically landing very effective combos of shots to the body then an elbow to the head right afterward! Even with a referee standup near the end of the round, Custer took it right back to the mat and finished out the round definitively ahead on the score cards.

Round three came and went with very much the same result and after the round finished, Custer knew he had the fight in hand and Victorio knew he had to finish the fight with no other alternative! When the fourth round began, finally managed to lock Custer into the clinch he had tried to cinch from the beginning and in doing so, he was able to land some punches on Custer. Inexplicably, Victorio let go of the clinch and tried to strike at a distance, enabling Custer to again take him to the mat. Victorio tried very diligently to lock in a submission but Custer was always one step ahead and managed to keep Victorio from doing so. Round four finished and moving into the last round, The final round was fought primarily standing up, which was a bit of a surprise since Victorio would be going for the knockout.

However, Custer managed to avoid serious damage, even when in the clinch, and he eventually took the fight to the mat again where the fight finished and he earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY while maintaining his hold on the Light Heavyweight Title! This fight also earned FIGHT OF THE NIGHT honors, so kudos to both warriors!

Custer keeps rolling right along and EXTENDS HIS WIN STREAK TO FIVE IN A ROW! His next challenge occurs on April 12 in the form of Phil Ivey! Victorio, on the other hand, has a FOUR FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED! He has the opportunity to begin a new streak on April 13 when he squares off against Roger Dunowevil!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: ALFRED “GRANITEN” HAMMARSKJOLD (22-11) OF TEAM OUTKAST versus MIZUSHIMA “GIANT HEAD” MUROI (19-11-1)

Hammarskjold began this clash by landing a clean left hook to Muroi's jaw! Both men smiled and gave a quick high five, displaying their respect and appreciation, which is great to see. That hook woke Muroi up a little because he landed a couple of solid leg kicks, stuffed a sloppy takedown attempt, and tagged Hammarskjold in the stomach with a solid right cross. That cross seemed to sap Hammarskjold's energy and that was the beginning of the end!

Muroi found the range on his kicks and they really hurt Hammarskjold! He buckled him and that seemed to put Hammarskjold off of his game. Muroi then locked in a tight clinch and went to work on Hammarskjold, landing solid punches and cutting Hammarskjold above the left eye with a sharp, stinging right hook! After more strikes, along with some timely defense from Hammarskjold, Muroi broke the clinch and dropped Hammarskjold with a crushing one-two punch combination! Hammarskjold was dazed and his cut worsened, but Muroi let him stand back up so he could go for the knockout! Muroi waited for his moment and took advantage when Hammarskjold lost focus for a moment, and Muroi again blasted him with a nasty right hook that floored Hammarskjold! The referee jumped in and that stoppage gave Muroi the KNOCKOUT VICTORY! He also earned KNOCKOUT OF THE NIGHT honors, so well done Muroi!

Muroi pushes his WIN STREAK TO TWO IN A ROW and has time to revel in this victory until his next opponent is announced! Hammarskjold has his TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED so he'll have to work on getting back into the winning groove against his next opponent, once that opponent is determined!

MAIN CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: “MAMBO” MR. BLACK (42-21-1) OF THE CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT versus JESSE “BUGMAN” WOLFE (25-12) OF THE CHILDREN OF THE LAW OF ONE

The opening round of this battle was a back-and-forth standup war that the crowd ate up and asked for more! Both fighters displayed excellent striking, very sound defense, and a great deal of determination. Black began with chopping away at Wolfe's legs with solid leg kicks that Wolfe definitely felt when they landed. Black was also accurate with some of his punches while showing great movement and agility with his bobbing and weaving. Wolfe seemed to settle in as the round progressed, however, and he began to land timely punches, especially body shots.

Black contributed to slowing himself down by failing with takedowns as well as missing with some combinations. Both fighters left themselves open to textbook counter strikes but it seemed that Wolfe evened things up when Black locked in a clinch near the end of the round but Wolfe was the one to land more clean punches while clinched.

The second round began very well for Black as he landed solid leg kicks, wobbling Wolfe's legs with them, and showing his boxing skills with very accurate punches to Wolfe's face! Wolfe would counter with strong punches of his own and that began to sway the fight as the round progressed. However, I could tell that Wolfe felt the standup fight wasn't getting him anywhere fast, so he took the fight to the ground. Black tried very hard and consistently to lock in a submission but Wolfe looked very comfortable. This continued to be the pattern until the horn sounded to end the round. Both corners urged their respective fighters to step up the pace and if there's an opening, go for the finish! Both fighters kept the fight standing for the majority of the last round, testing the other man's heart with a toe-to-toe affair. Neither man really gained much of an upper hand so it was Wolfe who once again changed the focus of the fight and took it to the ground.

Black attempted more submissions but it was all for naught and the fight finished with Wolfe firmly in control. Once all was said and done it was Wolfe who was awarded the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY! Wolfe extended his WIN STREAK TO THREE WINS IN A ROW and will next step into the cage to battle against Karl de Groot for the Lightweight Championship! Black had his TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED and has a chance to get back into the winning side of things against the man with two first names, Larry David!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MAIN EVENT: TIM “GUNNER” SIN (18-10) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “TURK” JOHNNY BRIT (27-17)

All right, this fight is easy to summarize: Left cross, Brit gets cut above his right eye, that pisses him off, and in return he levels Sin with a brutal right cross that drops Sin! Brit jumps on him like he stole some money and the referee jumps in to save Sin. End of story! Any questions? I thought not. Brit wins by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT and shakes off a recent loss to TJ Cummings.

Brit battles Lan Mandragoran on April 13 and I can pretty much assure all of you that fight will last longer than eight seconds! Sin has a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK HALTED and will definitely hear and read about this loss amongst people and social media. Hey, it goes with the territory.

“Big” Duncan McAlister (29-22-2) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “The Body” Jim Janos (22-11-1) of Cavemen Assassins Cult

McAlister started off very well but in rounds two and three, Janos took control and finished strong, enabling him to pick up the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY! Janos has now WON THREE FIGHTS IN A ROW and next faces Luke Kilpatrick on April 12! McAlister DROPS HIS SECOND IN A ROW so he'll look to break out of his recent funk against Jesse Venturia on April 12!

Ravi “The Midlands Mauler” Singh (13-8) of Evolution Fight Clan versus “The Hammer” Semmy Kasteel of The Corporation

Kasteel dominated this fight from start to finish, making it very easy for the judges to rewards him the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY! Kasteel stretches his WIN STREAK TO TWO IN A ROW! Singh finds himself on the wrong side of the Win/Loss column so look for him to turn that around against his next opponent!

Ruzic was all business in this fight, taking it the the ground quickly, locking in an excruciating armbar, and forced Tamad to tap out! Ruzic SNAPPED, - no pun intended - A FOUR FIGHT LOSING STREAK and in the process, he earned SUB OF THE NIGHT honors! Tamad falls back into the losing side of life and wants to get that turned around as quickly as possible!

Venturia punched Polo so hard that I think he knocked Polo back INTO the water! This brutal knockout gave Venturia the KNOCKOUT VICTORY and pushed his WIN STREAK TO TWO IN A ROW! Duncan McAlister will be his next opponent on April 12. THREE LOSSES IN A ROW is what Polo must deal with! Being knocked out in a matter of twenty-three seconds? That's another story in itself!

“WJ” William Joseph (25-12) of Public Enemy versus “Mr. Main Event” Max Power (37-23-2) of the Legion of Doom

Power easily won the first and third round of this fight, but Joseph made a fight of it in the second. Still, it was easy for the judges to reward Power the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY! Power returns to the win column after this victory and on April 13, he will face Sam Shield! Joseph returns to the loss column and doesn't want to stay there long. He has his chance to right the ship on April 19 versus Takanori Gomi!

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT CONTEST

“Los Extranjeros Ilegales” Tico Cortez (18-10-1) of the Legion of Doom versus Daiju Kikuchi (9-4)

These two warriors went at it head-to-head and the crowd went wild, especially since it was the last battle of the evening! Kikuchi locked Cortez into a clinch and both men landed some painful, bone-crunching strikes! Cortez cut Kikuchi open on the bridge of his nose with a seriously nasty right knee that should have floored Kikuchi, but he took it very well! Kikuchi gathered himself and rocked Cortez's world with a vicious left uppercut!

After a bit of a struggle between the two, Kikuchi managed to free his right hand and he absolutely leveled Cortez with a thunderous right uppercut! Cortez fell to his knees and Kikuchi was all over him, forcing the referee to step in. Kikuchi earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY and was elated in doing so! Cortez has DROPPED TWO IN A ROW and I'm certain he'll discuss possible training changes with his management team! Kikuchi ERASED A TWO FIGHT LOSING STREAK an will battle Ron Sieler on April 12!

GAMMA #383: WILLIAMS versus McGINLEY PREVIEW

MARCH 23, 2014 LOS ANGELES COLISEUM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

What's happening MMA fans!? This is your man on the scene, Furious Styles, with another GAMMA Preview of exciting action brought to you by the Global Association of MMA (GEG) and Affordable Quality + Reliable Laundry! Not only are multiple weight divisions in action but the Super Heavyweight Title is on the line! Get comfortable, grab a hold of your smart phone, laptop, tablet, whatever you use to take notes and keep up with the action. Without further ado, let's get down to business!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: SIMON WILLIAMS (33-8-1) OF CONVICTED INC. versus ANDERSON McGINLEY (18-4) FOR THE SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Williams defends his title having recently had a SIX FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED by Lester Cockenschtuff, leaving a bit of a sour taste in the champions mouth! McGinley brings tremendous momentum into this fight with a very impressive NINE FIGHT WIN STREAK! Williams is currently a two title holder and for good reason. His fight experience in itself is invaluable, let alone the tremendous ability he has shown repeatedly. McGinley has a propensity of stopping his opponents with many of them ending in the first rond.

This is the type of fight that fight fans want to see night in and night out! This is the proverbial immovable object versus the unstoppable object. Something has to give in this fight because Williams has also stopped numerous opponents in the first round. Both fighters are very dangerous with their punches and kicks, so this will boil down to the man who catches his opponent at just the right moment and exploiting that opening.

McGinley is the taller and heavier fighter, but that won't be much of a factor in this type of battle. Each man has faced opponents of all sizes and skill levels, and they have both been very successful. The approach to this fight for each man will be just as valuable as the skills being used in the cage. This is definitely a very difficult fight to predict, but since I'm required to make an educated guess, I shall do so. There's nothing like championship experience, and that makes me lean towards the champion.

Furious Styles' Prediction: Williams by KO (Punch) in Round 2

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: TJ CUMMINGS (32-19) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “KNIGHT ERRANT” SELLUS GRAVIUS (17-6) OF THE LEGION OF PAIN

This Super Heavyweight battle features Legion versus Legion and I have no doubt all members of each Alliance will be watching this battle very closely, myself included of course, since I obviously will support a fellow Legion of Pain member! Cummings recently OVERCAME A TWO FIGHT LOSING STREAK by defeating Johnny Brit. Cummings will want to continue this direction as he faces an opponent who steps into the cage with a FOUR FIGHT WIN STREAK!

Gravius has a huge height and weight advantage in this fight, but that also means Cummings will be able to move around Gravius very quickly. Will Gravius be able to keep the smaller, quicker Cummings in front of him to land a solid shot, or will he struggle, and possibly have stamina issues, enabling Cummings to get into range, land his own shots, then get out of range before taking any damage? This is the old classic very good little man versus a very good big man. Since I'm admittedly a bit biased in this match, I think all of you know which way I'm going.

Furious Styles' Prediction: Gravius by TKO (Strikes) in Round 1

MAIN CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: ADIS DJURDJEVIC (21-11-2) versus “AK-47” KALESH NIKOV (23-13) OF THE LEGION OF PAIN

Djurdjevic is a very highly skilled fighter and every fight he has been in has been an exciting one! Coming off a Majority Draw decision against Gegard Mousasi, he wants to take this fight with a clear and away win. Nikov carries the momentum of a FOUR FIGHT WIN STREAK and each fight has been won by a UNANIMOUS DECISION. Though Nikov may not be quite as skilled in the standup game, he's just as solid on the ground and that's where this fight will probably end up being.

Djurdjevic will want to keep this fight on its feet because he may very well have the advantage there, particularly in the clinch where his Muay Thai skills will be right at home. Should he manage to keep this fight on its feet then I think Djurdjevic nullifies the size advantage that Nikov has plus he may be able to land effective, damaging strikes in the clinch. If Nikov is able to get this fight to the ground then he may very well control the fight there and take this fight on points alone. However, if Djurdjevic thinks that's all that will happen, he may very well find himself in real trouble.

Due to the momentum Nikov brings into this fight, plus the style of fighting that we've seen from both men, I believe Nikov will be able to keep Djurdjevic off-balance in the standup and score the takedown and control early and often in this fight. Therefore, I'm going with Nikov.

MAIN EVENT FEATHERWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: “THE WHORESON” LIK ALOTADIK (13-4-1) versus SUN “SOLDIER REBORN” RA (31-17-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO

To say that Alotadik has been through one hell of a childhood is an understatement. Hell, his name in itself should indicate the upbringing he had, but honestly that makes him one tough bastard, quite literally and figuratively! Sun Ra, named after the Egyptian God of the Sun, is a proven, wily veteran who has seen it all and done it all. Though he's older and lighter than Alotadik, he knows how to handle himself in battle and that will come in handy.

Alotadik has shown that he has KO power in his hands so Ra will have to be wary of that fact! Alotadik brings a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK into this battle and both were by way of TKO (Strikes). Ra has been involved in a lot of Unanimous Decision battles lately, including his most recent victory. If Ra is going to win this battle, it may very well be by battle of attrition, but I don't think Alotadik's punching ability will allow that to happen.

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT MATCH: KEAST KANN (30-26-1) versus “THE KING” DANIEL MOREIRA (20-11-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

Two great veteran fighters step into the cage to prove they still have the ability to be dangerous and effective. In this type of match, I believe the plan of attack and the ability to execute it are the keys to victory. There won't be any surprises between these two because they've seen far too many battles to not know what to expect or how to handle what's thrown at them.

Kann has been involved in a lot of intense, heavy hitting, and heavy damage-causing battles, be it that he was on the winning or losing side of things. Multiple TKO (Strikes) victories is an indication of his aggression, punching power, boxing ability, and his ability to take a good amount of damage as well. Moreira had a THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED by Iikka Laitinen. He definitely wants to turn around that recent event, but will want to be mindful of Kann's aggression and punching power.

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH: GLENN CARSON (25-14-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus CHARLIE “DARKNESS” MURPHY (14-7) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

I always enjoy these inter-Alliance battles and the Legion of Doom members in this battle will try to win the bragging rights that accompany situations like this. I wonder if Charlie Muuuurrrpphhhaaaaaayyyy – that's my impression of Dave Chappelle saying Charlie Murphy while being in the guise of Rick James – is a standup comedian outside of the MMA world?

Since these two know each other so well, any physical advantages between the two are basically null and void. If Carson manages to take this fight to the ground, his world class BJJ skills will enable him to really put Murphy in trouble! If Murphy can keep the fight standing, and in particular land very strong and accurate kicks then move into the clinch, then he may be the clear cut winner.

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: MAREK KOLTUN (10-5) OF THE POLISH EAGLES' NEST versus “SUPERFLY” JIMMY SNUKA (17-7) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

Koltun had a FIVE FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED by Adolf Ellenberger in the 1^st round by a Triangle submission, and that seemed to really motivate Koltun to become more educated on the ground. The majority of his victories were by Unanimous Decision so his ability to finish Snuka in this fight may be called into question.

Snuka – I wonder if he used to watch the WWF back in the day when Snuka was leaping off of steel cages at pay-per-view events? - has been involved in some damaging battles recently! He has a propensity of finishing fights via TKO (Strikes) and I think his aggression and punching power will serve him very well in this fight.

UNDER CARD FLYWEIGHT EVENT: “TERRIBLE” TYRONE TORNADO CPW (26-11-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO versus HONG KONG PHOOEY (21-15-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO

Once again we have an inter-Alliance battle, and this one takes place between a man who obviously likes “T” alliterations and his opponent swears he's an old school cartoon character that I used to watch as a child. Yes, I just dated myself but that's all right, because everyone ages. CPW has had a string of Unanimous Decision battles, whether he won or lost. Phooey has been involved in a few more finishes than CPW lately, and I think that will come into play for this fight. Phooey has a sizable weight advantage and I think he'll get in close and lean his weight on CPW in the clinch so he can land heavy punches.

UNDER CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: SHO “TOSHINDEN” SHINJO (21-15-2) versus SAM “FIDEITO” STOUT (30-25) OF VALHALLA

Quite simply, I see this fight going one of two ways: On the ground, Shinjo wins; standing up: Stout wins. Physically and skill-wise, these men match up very nearly the same. Both are very experienced and have won and lost battles of every type possible. Shinjo is on a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK and both have been by submission.

Stout has lost a couple of fights recently by bleeding out, but that may not be a factor in this fight. Shinjo can throw punches very well but I don't think he has the power to cut Stout easily. Stout has dangerous kicks and Shinjo could be cold cocked if he doesn't protect his head from Stout's strong legs.

UNDER CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: CAPTAIN BEEFHEART (17-13) OF ACME – ST. PETERSBURG versus “THE PURPLE STRIPE” PIERRE TRUDEAU (21-10-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

Beefheart – obviously a meat lover – recently had a THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED by Harry Potter by way of TKO (Strikes). Many of his recent losses have been by TKO (Strikes) so he'll need to make sure he keeps that striking defense up because if not, he'll find himself in serious trouble against Trudeau!

Trudeau bled out in his last match but that may not be an issue against Beefheart. However, if Trudeau is overly aggressive and leaves an opening, Beefeater does the ability and accuracy to land damaging punches. He may be reluctant to stand toe-to-toe with Trudeau so don't be surprised if Beefeater tries to take this battle to the ground to control the action from there.

Good shit. I would like to point out though the Custer vs Victorio fight was an anti-climax. I fucked up the try to clinch slider and the result was 1 leg kick in 5 rounds when my main chance in this fight was to strike from distance. Clinching wasn't the plan. So very easy win for Custer since my boy did nothing but clinch and I'm a little disappointed there was no rematch offer so we could have seen a proper fight between them. After all, they were both champions.

GAMMA #383: WILLIAMS versus McGINLEY SUMMARY

MARCH 23, 2014 LOS ANGELES COLISEUM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

What's crackin' everyone!? I hope all of you are well and you each enjoyed the tremendous night of action you witnessed! This is Furious Styles on the scene in Los Angeles as the events of GAMMA #383 have concluded and everyone is catching their breath while discussing what they witnessed. So without further ado, grab your favorite drink, a hefty snack, jump on your smartphone, laptop, tablet, or what have you...and let's get down to business!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: SIMON WILLIAMS (34-8-1) OF CONVICTED INC. versus ANDERSON McGINLEY (18-5) FOR THE SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

The night of fights started off with a bang and no one had any complaints about that at all, well except perhaps the brave gamblers who put their money on the wrong fighter of course! This battle between a well-established veteran in the ring and a fighter who has climbed the ladder of success quite well is a battle that many will speak about for a long time! I have no doubt Williams' fellow Convicted Inc. members congratulated him on an excellent fight against a troublesome opponent. After a quick kick and jab from McGinley, Williams took this fight to the ground and that's where it stayed, much to the dismay of McGinley. With his height advantage and storied chin, he wanted to keep the toe-to-toe situation as long as possible, but Williams was far too determined and skilled to keep at bay!

Williams was able to control the action well enough to land some effective ground-and-pound, even tagging McGinley with a brutal left elbow and a vicious right swinging punch, but McGinley was able to absorb the damage and hang in there! The half guard allowed Williams to maintain solid positioning and prevent McGinley from escaping or standing. McGinley got what he wanted in the second round but Williams dominated him, especially when landing hard punches and kicks to McGinley's body that slowed him way down, sapped his energy, and left him a far easier target! Williams was able to use great footwork and body movement to avoid serious damage from McGinley while outboxing him.

Williams blasted McGinley with a right hook that shocked McGinley and opened up a cut above his left eye! That seemed to dishearten McGinley and Williams stepped up the pressure! Mixing up the body and head shots, Williams had McGinley completely off balance and McGinley, fatigued, made the mistake of relaxing a bit too much. Williams tagged him with a right hook that further opened up that cut plus really hurt McGinley! McGinley lost focus for a moment and that was all Williams needed to level McGinley with a crushing right cross to the same area of the temple that made McGinley crumble to the mat like a sack of potatoes! Williams won the fight by KNOCKOUT, retained a hold of the Super Heavyweight title, and told McGinley that despite their age difference and his considering retiring, McGinley wasn't in his league! His knockout was also the KO of the Night!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: TJ CUMMINGS (32-20) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “KNIGHT ERRANT” SELLUS GRAVIUS (18-6) OF THE LEGION OF PAIN

Cummings is a veteran of many, many fights in the MMA world and has defeated some very good fighters, no doubt. However, in this battle, he was giving up quite a size advantage with both height and weight, and that proved to be too much to handle once all was said and done. The only way I saw Cummings winning this fight is if he was able to stick and move the entire time and wear Gravius out.

Cummings did his best to do exactly that but he wasn't able to land any strikes due to Gravius' defensive ability plus his long limbs kept Cummings off balance. Even worse for Cummings, he absorbed an accidental knee to the groin! Gravius apologized and obviously felt bad, but Cummings used all five minutes to collect himself while every man in attendance groaned and held themselves in understanding. Once the fight resumed, Gravius was all business! His boxing ability really befuddled Cummings and hurt him badly. A counter left-hook opened a cut above Cummings' right eye and that seemed to distract the veteran. Cummings was able to land a few clean punches and kicks but they didn't phase Gravius at all, and Gravius not only landed very effective punching combinations, but two solid head kicks, knocking Cummings down with the first, further opened up the cut on Cummings, even when he partially blocked the second one!

Gravius later locked Cummings into a clinch and he further opened up that cut with a short but crunching right cross then later with a stinging left hook! Cummings was in serious trouble and he knew it. He managed to hold on until the end of the round but was definitely struggling to regain his senses. The second round was target practice for Gravius! After punishing Cummings with a savage left leg kick, Gravius dropped him with a surprisingly quick one-two-three punching combo that took Cummings by surprise! Down he went but Gravius let him stand up again. Cummings showed heart and tried to fight back, but a booming right uppercut dashed any comeback hopes, knocking Cummings out and mercifully ending the beating! That KNOCKOUT VICTORY earned Fight of the Night honors!

MAIN CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: ADIS DJURDJEVIC (21-11-2) versus “AK-47” KALESH NIKOV (23-13) OF THE LEGION OF PAIN

Fights between two very good veterans are always of great interest because a lot of strategy goes into these types of fights! Each of these proven warriors knew that one mistake could cost them because their opponent knew how to capitalize on each opportunity. However, holding back too much would cost them points on the score cards and that could prove detrimental as well.

Nikov knew that Djurdjevic was a very highly skilled fighter but that didn't deter Nikov from formulating an excellent fight plan that he executed beautifully! A lot of credit goes to Djurdjevic because as usual, he put on one hell of a fight and he made Nikov earn every single bit of success he had during this battle. Djurdjevic came out swinging and Nikov knew he had to get the fight to the ground to have any measure of success! Djurdjevic popped Nikov a good one with a very solid left cross that cut Nikov above his right eye! This seemed to inspire Nikov to get the fight the ground as soon as he possibly could because that's exactly what he did.

Both men struggled to gain any control or land any damaging blows while on the ground, but Nikov was able to maneuver himself enough to land some ground-and-pound strikes that scored the vital points on the judges' cards. Heading into Round 2, Djurdjevic wasn't able to take full advantage of the fight while it was standing, and inexplicably let go of a clinch after he prevented a takedown. That breaking of the clinch, in my opinion, lost him the second round, because while clinched, Djurdjevic was doing very well for himself by landing punches to the head and body of Nikov.

He decided to relinquish the clinch and took the fight to the ground where both warriors again struggled to gain any real advantage over the opponent! Nikov was the busier fighter and his submission attempts swayed the judges to award him the points for that round. Nikov was a house of fire when the third round began and he simply overwhelmed Djurdjevic! After taking him to the ground, Nikov very aggressively positioned himself to land some punishing ground-and-pound on Djurdjevic! It was simply too much for Djurdjevic and he couldn't prevent the damage from being done! Nikov dropped one seriously nasty bomb of a right elbow and turned the lights out on Djurdjevic! That earned him the KNOCKOUT VICTORY and the adulation of the crowd!

MAIN EVENT FEATHERWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: “THE WHORESON” LIK ALOTADIK (14-4-1) versus SUN “SOLDIER REBORN” RA (31-18-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO

In a nutshell, this fight turned out to be a clinch war because both of these fighters are very good Muay Thai practitioners! Many in attendance expected Ra to be able to manipulate Alotadik with his battle experience, but Alotadik's energy and determination were the deciding factors in this fight. After Ra was able to slice a cut open above Alotadik's right eye with a quick left elbow, Alotadik turned up the pressure, especially in the clinch. This fight went to the ground early but didn't stay there long because both of these fighters wanted to outdo the other in the standup game. Alotadik's constant pressure and aggression caused the judges to give him the points on the cards and thus, Alotadik won this contest by UNANIMOUS DECISION!

UNDER CARD FEATHERWEIGHT MATCH: KEAST KANN (31-26-1) versus “THE KING” DANIEL MOREIRA (20-12-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

As expected, this battle went to the ground early and it was won on the ground! Both of these men let it be known that they wanted to make the opponent quit or get knocked out at their own game, and that was the ground game. Both warriors had their opportunities to end the fight by way of submission, but both of them are too skilled to be locked in submissions easily. Kann reverted to the reliable ground-and-pound attack and was able to finish the fight with a TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY in the second round!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH: GLENN CARSON (26-14-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM versus CHARLIE “DARKNESS” MURPHY (14-8) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

Murphy did his best to keep this fight standing and he even popped Carson with a nice right head kick that opened up a cut on the bridge of Carson's nose, but Carson was determined to get this fight on the ground and he was able to do execute that plan of attack!

However, Murphy and his outstanding defense caused the referee to stand both fighters twice in the opening round and Murphy also prevented Carson from causing much damage to him, frustrating Carson just a bit. However, Carson relied upon his experience and kept a level head despite the judges seeing Murphy as the dominant fighter in the opening round.

Carson would not be denied though, and after locking in a clinch, he took the fight to the ground where his red belt capabilities allowed him to lock Murphy in an excruciating Triangle Choke that was too much for Murphy! Carson earned the SUBMISSION VICTORY and was very appreciative of the crowd's reaction as well.

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: MAREK KOLTUN (10-6) OF THE POLISH EAGLES' NEST versus “SUPERFLY” JIMMY SNUKA (18-7) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

This fight was all Snuka from start to finish! There was even a point in time when Koltun took this fight to the ground and he was lucky that the fight wasn't ended right then and there! Snuka's technique and desire simply overmatched Koltun and Snuka proved to be too much for him to handle. Snuka cinched in the Guillotine and finished the fight in the third round! Snuka's SUBMISSION VICTORY also earned him Submission of the Night honors!

These two combatants gave the crowd a very exciting stand up war that the crowd ate up and asked for more! Excellent boxing, Muay Thai, defense, footwork...you name it and they showed it. Problem for Phooey was, CPW showed it much better than he did on all the judges' cards. CPW definitely earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY in this fight!

UNDER CARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: SHO “TOSHINDEN” SHINJO (22-15-2) versus SAM “FIDEITO” STOUT (30-26) OF VALHALLA

Shinjo set the tone of this fight early by cutting Stout over his left eye with a right kick despite Stout partially blocking it! Shinjo kept up a high energy output throughout the fight and Stout's only good moment was a shocking left head kick that dropped Shinjo as if he had been hit by a sledgehammer! Stout thought Shinjo may not be able to beat the count but he managed to get back up, much to the chagrin of Stout, and Shinjo finished the fight strongly, earning the UNANIMOUS DECISION victory!

UNDER CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: CAPTAIN BEEFHEART (17-14) OF ACME – ST. PETERSBURG versus “THE PURPLE STRIPE” PIERRE TRUDEAU (22-10-1) OF THE LEGION OF DOOM

After Beefheart cut Trudeau above his left eye with a nasty right elbow, Trudeau locked in and dominated the rest of the fight! Trudeau wouldn't let Beefheart have any breathing room and he wore him down as the fight progressed. Trudeau saw the opening he was looking for and pummeled Beefheart with a series of hooks that Beefheart just couldn't stop. As a result, Beefheart ate canvas and the referee stopped the fight, awarding Trudeau the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT victory!

Good shit. I would like to point out though the Custer vs Victorio fight was an anti-climax. I fucked up the try to clinch slider and the result was 1 leg kick in 5 rounds when my main chance in this fight was to strike from distance. Clinching wasn't the plan. So very easy win for Custer since my boy did nothing but clinch and I'm a little disappointed there was no rematch offer so we could have seen a proper fight between them. After all, they were both champions.

Thanks for the kudos brotha'. Don't sweat the slider situation man. Some of the best managers have expressed that they've jacked up sliders for a fight that they knew heavily favored the opponent once they realized that they didn't change the sliders, or they forgot to change them, etc. Hopefully you'll get the rematch you seek so you can know for yourself how Victorio can do.

GAMMA #384: WATTS versus ETTISH 3 written by Furious Styles

Hello ladies and gents, I hope all of you are well! Thank you for joining me for another exciting preview brought to you by the good folks of GAMMA, the Global Association of MMA (GEG), Affordable Quality + Reliable Laundry, and Cottonfloss GAMMA: Con Bookies along with MarineMansBook! This is Furious Styles live at the Coliseum where once again a minor earthquake will occur due to the fans rockin' and rollin' the place as they yell and scream while the action unfolds! Grab your favorite seat, settle in, and let's get down to business!

MAIN CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: EJNAR THORSEN (16-3) of THE LEGION OF PAIN versus JOSE ROZEMBLIT (22-7)

We kick off the night with a cowboy versus a hip-hop thug of sorts! How often do you see that happen in life? Don't judge either of these fighters by their appearance only, however, as they both are very capable fighters in the cage and have proven themselves time and again! Rozemblit brings bit more overall fighting experience into this battle but Thorsen is definitely no pushover and can handle himself very well.

Rozemblit has the height advantage in this contest and may very well opt to use his boxing ability that has served him well. However, he faces a world class boxer in Thorsen and that may force Rozemblit to focus more on taking this fight to the ground where he is very skilled and comfortable against any opponent there. Thorsen is right at home in the standup game and many of his opponents have been finished by his fists. Both fighters not only bring championship experience, but each of them has had very good win streaks over their careers. In fact, Rozemblit brings a FIVE FIGHT WIN STREAK with him to this battle. Thorsen had a SIX FIGHT WIN STREAK SNAPPED by Usain Watts recently and I'm sure that will serve as extra motivation to begin a new one.

MAIN CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: “THE CHOSEN ONE” USAIN WATTS (39-17) versus “COQUETTISH” FRED ETTISH (29-17) of CONVICTED INC.

Well here they go again, for a third time! Watts looks to solve the conundrum known as Ettish when these two proven veterans clash for the Middleweight Championship! I'm not sure if Ettish will want to be coquettish against Watts because being flirtatious or playful against a fighter with Watts' determination can be a very risky situation!

It's very possible that Ettish has the psychological advantage for this third battle because he has two previous victories over Watts, the first by Knockout and the second by Technical Knockout! Though Watts has accomplished much, I'm certain that somewhere in his mind, he hasn't forgotten those facts and he wants to overcome some of that troubled past!

Watts is on a TWO FIGHT WIN STREAK while Ettish brings a THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK with him for this historic confrontation. Both men are physically nearly identical and they obviously have fought numerous times, so trying to surprise the other is basically a moot point. I believe this fight boils down to who is able to maintain their level of output consistently during this fight. If Watts is able to keep a lot of pressure on Ettish and take this fight to the ground, then I believe he has a chance to earn that elusive victory over him. If Ettish keeps this fight standing, be it toe-to-toe or in the clinch, and is able to slow Watts with body work and a lot of movement, then he wins for the third time.

MAIN CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: “COCAINE IS HULLAVA DRUG” RICK JAMES (16-8-1) of THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “THE SANDMAN” HOLDEN GRACIE (29-11-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO

Okay folks, I'll just put this out there right off the bat: The Chappelle show had the Rick James character say, “Cocaine is a hell of a drug!” so the nickname of the MMA fighter Rick James indicates to me that yes, perhaps some drug usage in the past has affected his brain, because I've never heard the slang word “hullava” before, but hey, what do I know?

Despite the odd nickname and what it implies, James is no pushover in the cage, that's for sure! James has proven to be quite dangerous and damaging with his knees so Gracie, a man who has basically seen it all in the cage, will have to be aware of those knees or this could be one painful fight for Gracie! Gracie has been involved in a lot of Unanimous Decision fights, be they in his favor or not, so he's accustomed to going the distance against fighters. However, this may prove to be a problem against James as James' aggression may prove to be overwhelming for Gracie if he's not careful. Gracie will certainly look to use his height advantage to land strong, accurate punches so James will need to keep bobbing and weaving to avoid trouble there.

MAIN EVENT MIDDLEWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: BILL BELTON (23-12-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus SAMPSA “MALICIOUS” SILOPOSKI (39-20-2) OF VALHALLA

Here are two fighters who love what they do, especially Siloposki! Damn, how many fights has this forty-one year old been involved in!? I can do the match but I wonder how many fights he's been in outside of the cage? Well, more power to him because a lot of forty-one year old men are out of shape and definitely couldn't take the rigors of MMA!

Simply put, look for the elder statesman to use his height and world class boxing ability to keep Belton at bay. After all, he doesn't have a FIVE FIGHT WIN STREAK for nothing! Belton steps into this battle on a THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK, but those have been by Unanimous Decision, and I think Siloposki's hands will be the deciding factor in this fight.

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: DANTE “THE HURRICANE” SMITH (20-14) versus JOHN STAAL (36-13)

Bottom line of this fight: Someone is going to get knocked the hell out! Despite Staal giving up thirty pounds to Smith, I think his knockout power can make up that difference quite easily. However, Smith can drop some bombs with his fists as well so Staal can't be sloppy or he'll be sleeping before he knows it!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH: “KOROSHIYA” ICHI LJIMA (17-11-1) versus “MASTEROFTHECUSTODIALARTS” THURGOOD JENKINS (14-6-1) of EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN

So we have a guy with a nickname and name that I know I can't pronounce even after he tells me a few different times, battling against a custodial engineer who can handle business in the cage? Only in MMA will you see fights like this folks! Both of these man are known for being excellent wrestlers and BJJ practitioners so I think they'll both struggle if that fight stays there. I believe Thurgood will use his height advantage and keep this fight standing where he can unleash his superior boxing skills and frustrate Ljima for the entire fight.

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: TASOS IERONYMAKIS (9-3) versus "Хуй " TITUS OVEREEM (13-4) of TEAM OUTKAST

Two heavy-hitting Welterweight's always makes for a great fight and that's exactly what we have here! Both men have shown they are very capable of ending fights very quickly, and very painfully. Whoever lands the big shot first will walk out of this battle as the victor, plain and simple!

Furious Styles' Prediction: Ieronmakis by KO (HEAD KICK) in Round 1

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: FILO BEDO (20-13-1) of GRABTHE.INFO versus MARSHALL NOIR (20-9-2) of LEGION OF DOOM

These two have fought before and Bedo won by Unanimous Decision. If the fight stays standing then Bedo wins. If Noir is able to take this fight to the ground, then I believe he wins.

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: FRANK “MY WAY” SINATRA (33-18-4) versus TONY “TIGER” LAMOTTA (20-12) of CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT

If Sinatra has his way and takes this fight to the ground, that red belt in BJJ will come in very handy against the BJJ challenged Lamotta. However, if Lamotta keeps this fight in close quarters and locks in a clinch, his major Muay Thai skill advantage swings this fight his way.

Hendrix appears to be the more skilled fighter in this contest and has the experience to handle whatever Ronan throws at him. Ronan will have to keep up a high level of energy and aggression in this fight to overcome the odds.

What's goin' on everyone!? I hope all of you are well and for those of you who have been placing bets, I hope you've won good stacks of cash! This is Furious Styles at the Los Angeles Coliseum where GAMMA #385 will be taking place in the very near future, and as usual there are ninety-three thousand plus fans lined up to get in to see the action unfold!

Tonight we see various warriors battle for positioning in their respective weight classes for title shot opportunities or bragging rights! The main event is sure to not disappoint as two accomplished veterans of the cage square off to see which man stakes claim to being the superior fighter.

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: KURT “THE HURT” MEYER (32-15) of FIGHTERS FIRST ALLIANCE versus “RILVIO” PYRY PERKELE (20-6) of TEAM OUTKAST

The main event features two Super Heavyweight's with a ten year difference between them, but in terms of overall experience, there isn't that much of a difference. Meyer has been rolling very well lately with a SIX FIGHT WIN STREAK and it's going to take a lot for Perkele to upend that streak! However, if anyone can blemish Meyer's recent string of victories, Perkele is the man to do it! A very impressive TEN FIGHT WIN STREAK is what he's riding into this clash so there's definitely no loss of momentum or confidence on either side of this battle!

Both of these fighters have shown that they can finish the fight in various methods, but as of late it seems that Perkele has been the one to finish fights with more consistency than Meyer. However, with the skill level that Meyer brings, there's no doubt he can withstand the striking power and ability that Perkele brings to this fight, plus Meyer has seen just about anything that can happen in the cage.

On the surface it seems that Meyer has the advantage on the ground but he's also very skilled in the standup game. Perkele will want to keep this fight on its feet where he has a chance to go for the aggressive knockout! Meyer has a sizable height and weight advantage in this fight so he'll probably look to land accurate, damaging punches at a distance and if this goes to the ground, he'll want to keep in side control or full mount to use his weight advantage plus keep Perkele from locking in any submissions.

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: KENICHI “THE STRONGEST DISCIPLE” SHIRAHAMA (25-10-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus YURI ROOK (24-19) of CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT

It's not too often where we're treated to two fighters with red belts in BJJ battling one another so this is a special treat indeed! Should this fight end up on the ground then we may see what looks like a battle between two equally matched and equally dangerous spiders! However, should this fight stay standing then I believe Shirahama has an advantage there due to the Muay Thai skills he has shown.

Rook has exhibited world class boxing ability so he's not completely uncomfortable standing and banging, but if Shirahama makes the fight in close quarters then Rook may feel discomfort in a potentially damaging clinch. Shirahama is the taller of the two and Rook the heavier, so it will be a battle of positioning in my opinion. Rook may try to get in close to take the fight to the ground where he can utilize his weight advantage better. However, he doesn't want to stay in the clinch because of the Muay Thai skills referred to earlier.

Shirahama has been a bit inconsistent in his fights as of late so his aggression may be the key for him in this battle. Rook has a THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK and has been able to make two of his last three opponents tap out, paying homage to his red belt and wrestling skills. Rook will definitely look to finish this fight as fast as possible if and when it goes to the ground.

Furious Styles' Prediction: Shirahama by Unanimous Decision

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: TAMIAS POOCHYENA (26-15-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO versus RESTIN PEACE (16-3) of ACME – ST. PETERSBURG

Despite both fighters being thirty years old, the in-ring experience is quite different and I think that will play a role in this battle. Since Poochyena has seen it all and done it all, should Peace manage to get him into trouble then he'll know full well how to get out of that trouble. However, I highly doubt he wants to put himself in a situation where he gets into trouble to begin with because that's a very risky proposition in mixed martial arts!

Kurt Meyer SNAPPED A THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK that Poochyena was on and it was obvious he was frustrated by that Unanimous Decision loss, because that was a Super Heavyweight Title opportunity. Anderson McGinley introduced his right foot to Peace's head and as a result, Peace was knocked out! He had a very nice win streak recently and during that stretch, he demonstrated some serous knockout power in his hands! He's struggled a bit recently so both fighters may come out very aggressive for this contest.

Both of these men are very tall and quite heavy, so expect to see some serious bombs dropped because the longer this fight goes, the more fatigue both of these men will feel due to that height and weight. Poochyena may try to lock Peace in the clinch and take advantage of his Muay Thai skills there but again, he may take some body shots – not in the drinking alcohol manner of course – and that could very well drain his energy quickly.

MAIN EVENT LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: “LAS MANOS ARRIBA” DANZA KUDURO (25-10-2) of CONVICTED INC. versus PAUL “PJ” JONES (23-13) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Both of these talented Light Heavyweight's have had fluctuating results as of late in the cage so the timing of this match for both of them may prove to be difficult to some degree. Both fighters have struggled against different types of fighters so there's no real tale of their struggles there. Each fighter has been in enough battles to know what to expect from the other so that won't be a factor either.

Jones will want to take this fight to the ground as soon as possible where he may have an advantage with the BJJ aspect of the game. Kuduro will want to keep this fight on its feet where he has a distinct Muay Thai skills advantage as proven by his world class Muay Thai abilities. Jones has the height and weight advantage and those factors may allow him to drag Kuduro to the ground. If he's not able to do that then Kuduro will have the opportunity to wear down his energy level with body shots and potentially, damaging knees and elbows may do enough damage to end this fight very quickly if Jones' defensive skills are not up to par.

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: “FAST” REGGIE ANDERSON (15-5-1) of TEAM CONQUER versus YNGVE INGVAR (24-8) of the COLD BLOODED KILLERS

The skill level between these two fighters may be just about even, but the experience level is not and Ingvar has the advantage there. Andrson brings a THREE FIGHT WIN STREAK with him and that is his current advantage in this clash! Anderson may try to take this fight to the ground to use his weight advantage.

UNDER CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: “ACES” DEGEN GAMBLER (32-18) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus ENDER WIGGIN (22-12) of THE ILLUMINATI

Both fighters have shown the ability to end a fight quickly with their punching power and I don't see why this will be any different. However, Wiggin has been struggling lately and is currently on a TWO FIGTH LOSING STREAK. I believe Gambler will be able to catch Wiggin off balance with his in-ring experience and aggression.

Not many combatants have been in as many wars as Matazz and I think his experience pulls out the victory here.

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: KEIJO HARKIMO (17-10) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus JAWS TALLTREE (13-7) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Inter-Alliance battles are always entertaining and I think this one will match that billing. Harkimo seems to be the more complete fighter so I'll roll with him for this one.

We have two knockout artists on tap for this fight and the young upstart Karelin will want to cement himself in the eyes of other Super Heavyweight's as a force to be reckoned with.

Very simply put, this fight stays on the feet and Charles wins. It goes to the ground, Ferrari wins. I think Charles keeps it standing.

GAMMA #384: WATTS versus ETTISH 3 Review by Furious Styles

MARCH 28, 2014 LOS ANGELES COLISEUM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Greetings ladies and gents, I hope all of you are well and had a great weekend. We had another tremendous night of mixed martial arts action that literally rocked Los Angeles! Well, I know there was an earthquake followed up by various aftershocks, but I'll claim that it was the action GAMMA brought to you so that's just the way it is. Settle in, relax, and let's get down to business!

MAIN CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: EJNAR THORSEN (16-3) of THE LEGION OF PAIN versus JOSE ROZEMBLIT (22-7)

In Round 1, Rozemblit's ability to take the fight to the ground repeatedly pushed him ahead on the score cards. Thorsen was more effective in the standup game in my opinion, and I believe Rozemblit sensed that, thus why he worked so diligently to keep the fight on the canvas. In Round 2, It was more of the same and Rozenblit tried very hard to submit Thorsen, but Thosen was very comfortable in his defense in the guard and rode out the storm. Thorsen made Round 3 a clinching battle for a while and was doing all right for himself, but Rozemblit managed to keep Thorsen at bay once Thorsen stuffed a takedown and the fight went back to fighting at a distance. Rozemblit earned the victory by UNANIMOUS DECISION.

Winner: Rozemblit by Unanimous Decision

MAIN CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT: “THE CHOSEN ONE” USAIN WATTS (39-17) versus “COQUETTISH” FRED ETTISH (29-17) of CONVICTED INC.

in the opening round, both fighters let their battle plans be known. Ettish wanted to keep the fight standing and in the clinch, while Watts wanted to take the fight to the ground and keep it there. The action was back and forth but the score was swayed when Watts moved aggressively towards Ettish and caught a snapping right uppercut for his trouble that opened a cut on the bridge of his nose! Watts caught Ettish off guard in the second round when he took the fight to the ground and very aggressively tried to end it via submission!

Round 3 was a standup display by Ettish as he settled in and was very effective in both the distant striking as well as the clinch battle. Round 4 could have gone either way in my opinion. Watts was able to take the action to the ground but Ettish's defense prevented Watts from doing a lot of damage and that frustrated Watts. That defense also caused the judges to give Ettish the vital points on the judges' cards. Ettish finished strong in the deciding round by keeping the fight standing and in the clinch sporadically as well. Ettish earned the win and became the NEW MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION! This was also the FIGHT of the NIGHT!

MAIN CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: “COCAINE IS HULLAVA DRUG” RICK JAMES (16-8-1) of THE LEGION OF DOOM versus “THE SANDMAN” HOLDEN GRACIE (29-11-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO

The first round was a standup war that had both fighters show a good amount of aggression, but it was Gracie who was the more effective fighter and that allowed him to pull ahead on points. Gracie dominated Round 2 as well despite James blasting his left temple with a right head kick. Gracie partially blocked it but it was strong enough to open a cut above Gracie's left eye that didn't seem to bother him at all. Round 3 was all Gracie, plain and simple, and he won the fight by UNANIMOUS DECISION.

Winner: Gracie by Unanimous Decision

MAIN EVENT MIDDLEWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: BILL BELTON (23-12-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus SAMPSA “MALICIOUS” SILOPOSKI (39-20-2) OF VALHALLA

The fans were treated to a standup confrontation for this match. Siloposki took Round 1 with more accurate strikes and better clinching positioning. Rounds 2 and 3 went to Belton as he bucked down, stepped up his level of energy, aggression and skill. Siliposki went on to win by UNANIMOUS DECISION

Winner: Belton by Unanimous Decision

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: DANTE “THE HURRICANE” SMITH (20-14) versus JOHN STAAL (36-13)

Staal opened up the crimson rivulets with his fists and finally his left elbow, which opened the cut to the point of flowing freely in the final round. The doctor determined the fight had to be stopped and Staal won by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT.

Results: About as accurate as my March Madness bracket! Just freakin' off!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH: “KOROSHIYA” ICHI LJIMA (17-11-1) versus “MASTEROFTHECUSTODIALARTS” THURGOOD JENKINS (14-6-1) of EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN

Ljima was able to take this fight to the ground early and often, enabling him to cruise to the UNANIMOUS DECISION.

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: TASOS IERONYMAKIS (9-3) versus "Хуй " TITUS OVEREEM (13-4) of TEAM OUTKAST

Ieronymakis just came out and handled Overeem, bottom line! In doing so, he earned the KO of the Night honors as well.

Noir aggressively took this fight to the ground and worked for the submission, finally locking in a Triangle Choke in the third round, earning the SUBMISSION VICTORY

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: FRANK “MY WAY” SINATRA (33-18-4) versus TONY “TIGER” LAMOTTA (20-12) of CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT

Sinatra put this one away quickly and earned not only the Submission victory but also earned the Submission of the Night honors!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH: “THE DIVINE GUITARIST” JIMI HENDRIX (19-11) of THE BROKEN HALO PRIDE versus ELVIS “YOUNG FREAK” RONAN (16-10) of FIGHTER'S FIRST ALLIANCE

I guess Hendrix insulted Ronan's name and musical taste because they're both named after very famous musicians, obviously. Ronan played one hell of a tune in Round 1 that overwhelmed Hendrix! Ronan earned the KNOCKOUT victory in dominating fashion.

GAMMA #385: MEYER versus PERKELE REVIEW written by Furious Styles

MARCH 30, 2014 LOS ANGELES COLISEUM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Greetings ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another review written by yours truly, Furious Styles. I’m live in Los Angeles where the ground has been rocking sporadically and I blame some of the fight action on Mother Nature’s sudden interest in causing some rumbling and stumbling!

There was another tremendous night of mixed martial arts fights that GAMMA brought to you and I hope all of you were able to witness the action. For those who weren’t able to catch it live or on replay, make yourself comfortable and tune in so we can review what went down that night!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: KURT “THE HURT” MEYER (32-16) of FIGHTERS FIRST ALLIANCE versus “RILVIO” PYRY PERKELE (21-6) of TEAM OUTKAST

The Main Event of this card left everyone talking about the action between these two proven veterans of the Octagon! Neither fighter disappointed as each man laid out what they had in the cage which left both men tired but having gained even more respect as well. Entering this fight, both fighters had shown that they were capable of winning in the various ways that a fighter in MMA can win and since the skill level of both is high, no one would be surprised by the outcome. Personally I thought Meyer would be the combatant to take this fight by way of Unanimous Decision, but Perkele proved me wrong!

Early in Round 1, Perkele showed his accuracy and power with his fists by nailing Meyer with a lightning quick right cross that opened a cut above Meyer’s left eye! Meyer took the punch in stride but the cut seemed to inspire Perkele to be a bit more aggressive. The fight eventually went into the clinch and both men were able to land some painful strikes, but Perkele seemed to get the better of that situation and finished the round strongly while striking at a distance.

Round 2 was a struggle of sorts for both fighters in terms of deciding what approach to take with their opponent. To clinch or not to clinch, that was the question, and despite the back-and-forth with that situation, Perkele was as steady as a rock and was able to overcome Meyer’s abilities. Moving into Round 3, Meyer’s corner told him he needed to finish Perkele and nothing else would get the job done.

It was Perkele who stepped up the level of energy and aggression, taking the fight to Meyer instead of the other way around and due to that, along with handling business in the first two rounds, the judges scored the fight for Perkele via UNANIMOUS DECISION! This fight was also given the Fight of the Night honors and rightfully so.

Winner: Perkele by Unanimous Decision

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: KENICHI “THE STRONGEST DISCIPLE” SHIRAHAMA (25-11-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus YURI ROOK (25-19) of CAVEMEN ASSASSINS CULT

This battle of Red belt BJJ practitioners demonstrated how fighter’s with that level of knowledge and ability can display tremendous skill and wow the crowd! Rounds 1 and 2 were an amazing display of takedown skill, defensive grappling ability, submission knowledge and most of all, toughness! There were numerous times Shirahama could have been submitted because Rook was an energetic ball of submission attempts. Shirahama, much to his credit, maintained his composure, fell back on his training, and prevented Rook from making him submit.

However, during this process, Rook scored the vital points on the judges’ cards because he was the busier and more effective fighter in the judges’ eyes. Round 2 was very much the same with Rook taking complete control of the action and rendering Shirahama nearly helpless to prevent him from doing so. Again, Rook wasn’t able to make Shirahama tap but he did plenty of solid ground work to win the round easily. In the final round, Shirahama knew he had to end the fight or he would lose. He definitely went for it and nearly pulled it off!

Shirahama had a beautiful counter-takedown that caught Rook off guard. Shirahama worked diligently to position himself into the full mount where he really began unloading some seriously nasty and vicious ground-and-pound! Many in attendance wondered why he didn’t put that much effort into the ground-and-pound game prior to that moment, but that’s neither here nor there. Shirahama cracked Rook’s skull with some seriously brutal punches that really dazed Rook and he was in trouble! Much to his credit, Rook managed to hold on despite having his forehead cut open by Shirahama’s animalistic strikes!

Shirahama was very disappointed when the round ended because he knew if he had a bit more time, he very well may have snatched victory from Rook’s hands! Both warriors showed class by shaking hands and nodding respectfully to one another. Rook earned the hard fought UNANIMOUS DECISION and was grateful to get out of there because he knew he nearly lost the fight.

Result: Again with the right outcome but wrong fighter. Is this a pattern of errors for me!?

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: TAMIAS POOCHYENA (27-15-1) OF GRABTHE.INFO versus RESTIN PEACE (16-4) of ACME – ST. PETERSBURG

This battle of tree tops, the moniker I use for very tall men, was a very interesting one. Everyone in attendance knew there would be some heavy punches and kicks landed between these two because they both possess a great deal of power. The question was: which fighter will land the one clean shot that stops the opponent in their tracks!?

Well, that question was answered with three seconds remaining in the fight! However, much to many people’s surprise, my own included, Peace decided to take this fight to the ground and he showed his intelligence as well as ground fighting ability, which was very impressive for a man as tall as he is! Not only did he control the action on the ground but he dominated the action on the ground!

Round 2 was very much of the same though Peace tried to end the right rather than just control the action. He attempted various submissions but Poochyena was ready and proved quite capable of keeping himself out of trouble despite having the longer limbs and the larger potential to be submitted. However, Peace dominated the round and heading into Round 3, Poochyena’s corner was very adamant that he had to finish the fight or face being outscored completely on the fight cards!

Well, that inspired Poochyena big time and he stepped up his level of aggression and intensity big time! Not only was he able to keep the fight standing much longer than it had been in the first two rounds, but when the fight went to the ground, Poochyena really stepped up to force the standup by the referee. Peace was frustrated by his inability to control the action on the ground at that point and he let his guard down just a bit. That wound up being the difference maker!

Poochyena began to land some painful and quite damaging punches then once the clinch broke, he let his kicks fly like he was in a martial arts action movie! Kick after kick found their mark and using his height advantage, Poochyena blasted Peace’s head with a crunching left head kick that cut Peace over his right eye! Peace tried to fight Poochyena off with a punching combo but he was hurting from that cut and inaccurate with the punches.

Poochyena took advantage and unleashed a furious right head kick that leveled Peace and sent him crashing to the mat! Peace showed a lot of toughness and heart getting back to his feet before he got counted out, but it was obvious that he was in big trouble. Poochyena measured him and waited for that one moment where Peace let his guard down. BOOM! Yet another skull crushing right head kick from Poochyena and that was all Peace could take! He went out like a light and Poochyena earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY! His savage knockout also earned KO of the Night honors.

MAIN EVENT LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: “LAS MANOS ARRIBA” DANZA KUDURO (26-10-2) of CONVICTED INC. versus PAUL “PJ” JONES (23-14) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Kuduro sent a message to all of his future opponents by unfurling a thunderous right hand that contorted Jones’ face into a picture of pure pain early in Round 1! Jones dropped like a shock went through his body but Kuduro let him get back to his feet. Jones managed to do so and sported a cut on the side of his left eye for his trouble.

Jones was able to steady himself and even tag Kuduro with some timely punches that snapped Kuduro’s head around like he was riding an amusement park ride, but Kuduro hung in there and wisely took the fight to the ground to halt any momentum Jones established while keeping himself out of harm’s way. Kuduro opted to control the action on the ground and catch his breath for Round 2. Jones tried to take the fight to the ground in Round 2 but was stopped three times and Kuduro gained confidence from this.

The fight went into the clinch briefly and while that was the case, Kuduro was able to land effective shots. At a distance, Jones was able to establish his punching ability and Kuduro knew he shouldn’t test it any further. After some excellent defense, Kuduro seized his moment and unleashed a booming right hook that caught Jones flush on his left temple! Jones tumbled to the ground and Kuduro was all over him with punches! The referee stopped Kuduro and he earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: “FAST” REGGIE ANDERSON (15-6-1) of TEAM CONQUER versus YNGVE INGVAR (24-9) of the COLD BLOODED KILLERS

Ingvar’s experience showed in this fight, cutting Anderson with a vicious right elbow that opened up a gash over Anderson’s left eye, then Ingvar kept the fight in the clinch where he showed his Muay Thai skills, keeping Anderson frustrated and occasionally hurt. Ingvar, for good measure, opened up that cut even more with a quick, slicing elbow and he finished the fight strong in the clinch, earning the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: “ACES” DEGEN GAMBLER (32-19) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus ENDER WIGGIN (23-12) of THE ILLUMINATI

Punching power and experience were key in this fight for Wiggin! Gambler did his damage in the opening round with a beautifully executed counter-left jab that sliced Wiggin above his right eye! That cut seemed to wake Wiggin up and he was on point from that time until the end of the match. Wiggin’s defense was key for the remainder of the round and he was able to land accurate punches to take the round on the cards.

Round 2 was a bombfest! Gambler began the fireworks with an explosive left cross that twisted Wiggin’s head halfway around! Wiggins was definitely hurt at that point but he has tons of heart and toughness, and was able to get himself together quickly! Wiggins worked to land a left elbow flush on the side of Gambler’s right temple and not only did that open a cut there but also hurt Gambler! Gambler tried to fight back but he just didn’t have enough sting left in his punches.

A tremendous right hook from Wiggins sent Gambler to the ground and Wiggins was all over him like kids on candy! The referee stopped the fight and Wiggins earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDER CARD MIDDLE WEIGHT MATCH: ATTE “TEUFEL “ PELTOLA (15-11-1) of TEAM OUTKAST versus “THE ATOM SMASHER” RAZ MATAZZ (46-18-1) of THE LEGION OF PAIN

The tremendous amount of fighting experience Matazz has helped pull this victory out. Both fighters bled in the first round and Matazz changed the course of the fight by locking Peltola into a clinch that he couldn’t overcome. Matazz kept this up until the fight finished and earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

Result: Well all right, another bulls-eye. It’s about time!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: KEIJO HARKIMO (18-10) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus JAWS TALLTREE (13-8) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Harkimo came out with an inferno of energy and overwhelmed Talltree to take this fight by TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT and earned inter-Alliance bragging rights on top of that! Talltree got in some solid kicks but it just wasn’t enough to stop Harikimo.

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: ALEKSANTERI “THE SIBERIAN BEAR” KARELIN (16-8) of TEAM OUTKAST versus “THE BIG YIN” CHARLIE McGREGOR (33-21-2) of ACME – ST. PETERSBURG

I thought for sure one of these Super Heavies would be tasting canvas by knockout, but they fought valiantly and went the distance. Karelin was cut open above his right eye by a turbo-injected left cross that caught him completely off guard, but he fought through it. Surprisingly this fight was spent on the ground mostly while I thought it would be completely opposite. Karelin maintained the pressure and enough defense to earn the UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY!

UNDER CARD WELTERWEIGHT MATCH: DAVID “THE MINK” CHARLES (7-2) of THE ILLUMINATI versus FERNINANDO FERRARI (15-11) of EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN

Rounds 1 and 2 were a clinching and takedown contest. Round 3 is where Charles leveled Ferrari with a right uppercut that would have been missed if you blinked your eyes! That shot rocked Ferrari, causing his engine to flood and turn off – oh come on, you know I couldn’t let that go! – and Ferrari wasn’t able to gather himself enough to prevent being finished. Charles lowered the sonic boom with a Street Fighter-esque right uppercut then leapt on Ferrari like he tried to steal something! The referee was so busy watching Charles pummel Ferrari that he forgot to stop the fight!

Charles let the referee know that he endangered Ferrari by letting it go that much and I’m sure the ref will get an earful for his lack of action and judgment! Charles earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT VICTORY and that was the end of the night of action!

GAMMA #386: COLE versus MACHIKO REVIEW written by Furious Styles

APRIL 5, 2014 WOMBLEY STADIUM, LONDON (92,373 ATTENDANCE)

Greetings ladies and gents, I hope all of you are well. We witnessed a tremendous night of fights that left numerous Londoners hitting social media sites and talking up a storm in pubs all around the City! There were two unanimous decisions, two submissions, one majority draw, and five knockouts or technical knockouts! Grab a comfortable seat, settle in, relax...and let's get down to business!

MAIN EVENT WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: “BLACK WATER” COLE RIVER (25-2-1) of THE LEGION OF PAIN versus MACHI “MURRAY” MACHIKO (26-12-1)

This was a tremendous battle between two solid mixed martial artists and River brought an outstanding career record into this battle. Both men have had numerous battles so they knew what they were getting into, but experience can only go so far in battle. A man's heart, skills, ability and game plan define what occurs once the fighters lock horns.

River's game plan was to keep the fight in close quarters where he could use his world class Muay Thai ability to do some damage, and he was able to do exactly that in Round 1. A nasty right elbow cut Machiko above his left eye and it stunned him momentarily. Not long after being cut, Machiko was able to break the clinch and allow himself to throw his educated fists, but it was River who was the sharper, more effective fighter at distance and he managed to once again lock Machiko into a tight clinch to end the opening round.

Round 2 was far more even between these two warriors because Machiko was able to keep the fight at distance for the majority of the round, and he was able to be far more effective. The odd part was Machiko initiated the first clinch of the round and it was River who broke it, a bit of a reversal of plan. Both warriors blasted each other with strong, brutal kicks to the body and head and each man showed the effects of that damage, but it was Machiko who looked worse for wear.

River made sure Round 3 was kept nice and tight where he was most comfortable and that's exactly what occurred, much to the chagrin of Machiko. Machiko seemed resigned to the fact that he was going to have a hard time breaking the clinch and did his best to land effective punches, but River was just too steady in the clinch and took the round.

The 4^th Round was more of the same with the clinching action and again, it was a bit surprising that Machiko initiated another clinch after successfully breaking out of one earlier in the round. Stubbornness perhaps but it did not pay off for him. Round 5 was spent at striking distance for the first half and both men landed beautiful strikes, then Rivers locked in a clinch to close out the fight and take it by UNANIMOUS DECISION. This also earned Fight of the Night honors.

MAIN EVENT MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: “KRAVEN THE HUNTER” SERGEI KRAVINOFF 10-3) of CONVICTED INC. versus “KING OF THE SEVEN SEAS” ARTHUR CURRY (35-16) of the LEGION OF DOOM

The man with the cool Monk robes, Kravinoff, came into this fight locked, loaded and focused. Skillfully speaking, these men were quite even but obviously that didn't matter once the bell rang. Kravinoff showed off his BJJ abilities when this fight went to the ground, which didn't take long. Once it did, Kravinoff was a house of fire and the multitude of submission attempts was overwhelming for Curry and thus, he got locked into an armbar and was forced to tap out! Kravinoff earned the SUBMISSION VICTORY, the Submission of the Night award and now awaits his next opponent.

MAIN EVENT SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: “STORM” ANTONIO CARLOS FERREIRA (20-5) of CONVICTED INC. versus GABRIEL GZREL (28-12)

Fight fans were treated to a hard-hitting, bloody and brutal affair, and they absolutely loved it! Both men displayed excellent standup fighting skills as punishing blows were landed. Gzrel locked Ferreira into a clinch and that seemed to help slow down the momentum that Ferreira was building. Grzel caught Ferreira off guard with a very fast left knee that floored Ferreira! He was able to defend himself from being finished and got back to his feet. A cut on the bridge of Ferreira's nose opened up as the knee found its mark.

Grzel managed to lock Ferreira into another clinch but this time, Ferreira was able to defend himself much better and even broke the clinch after a short amount of time. Both fighters measured one another and it was Ferreira who managed to catch Gzrel by surprise and leveled him with a cheek-warping right cross that opened a cut above Gzrel's left eye and sent him stumbling against the cage! Gzrel gathered himself, fought back and took the fight to the ground to finish out the round.

Round 2 was a straight up toe-to-toe fight and it was exciting! Showing off world class skills and tremendous defensive abilities, the crowd witnessed excellence of all types. Unfortunately a low knee to the bean bag landed and Grzel crumpled like anyone nailed in the groin would! Grzel was able to get himself together and the fight continued. Ferreira landed a nasty right head kick shortly afterward that opened the cut on Grzel even more and hurt him in the process!

Ferreira stepped up the pace when he saw Grzel slow down and eventually landed a, well, quite honestly a powerful bitch slap and it was enough to rock Grzel! Ferreira then measured Grzel and unleashed a ferocious left head kick that turned out Grzel's lights! Ferreira earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY and earned the KO of the Night award as well!

MAIN UNDERCARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: SEPP “SUB” MAIER (38-26-1) of the EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN versus PAUL “ PRETTY BOY” POULTER (30-13-1) of the EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN

An inter-Alliance battle between two very seasoned and respected veterans is what this battle was about. Neither warrior would be able to anything the other hasn't seen so this boiled down to sheer will power and determination. In Rounds 1 and 2, it was Maier's determination to control the fight on the ground and attempt to make Poulter tap that made a case for an argument for him winning the rounds. However, due to Poulter's defensive ability and avoiding being submitted that caused the judges to score the fight evenly.

Poulter fought well in the standup game and Maier could sense that, thus why he was so determined to take the fight to the ground and keep it there as best as possible. Round 3 was just about as even as the first two rounds and an argument could have been made either way, but in the end it was Maier who did enough to earn the nod in terms of points. However, due to Rounds 1 and 2 being dead even on the judges' cards then the end result was a MAJORITY DRAW! No bragging rights for either Clan member until the rematch which hopefully occurs soon.

UNDECARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: POPS CAMA (14-5) of the STEEL PENN ALLIANCE versus “THE ASHIHARA MASTER” BALTHASAR OOSTEROOM (12-4) of the LEGION OF DOOM

In Round 1 it was Oosteroom who dropped Cama with a brain-shaking left kick that dropped him but to his credit, he was able to get back to his feet, gather himself and keep fighting! In Round 2 it was Cama's explosive right cross that put Oosteroom close to dream street then a crushing one-two combination put him out for the night! Cama earned the KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

UNDERCARD MIDDLEWEIGHT EVENT: “THE GENERAL” ULYSSES GRANT (13-6) versus ERIC “YOUNG HUNTER” LAWSON (22-14) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Grant cut Lawson with a right head kick that was partially blocked, so that is an indication of how much power was in the kick! Grant carried the momentum from that strike and eventually ended Lawson's night with a massive flurry of stinging rights and lefts that Lawson simply couldn't handle!

UNDERCARD WELTERWEIGHT EVENT: MAURICE “THE FARMER” McDONALD (32-17-1) of THE STEEL PENN ALLIANCE versus “THE ITALIAN DRAGON” JOE CALZAGHE 26-18-1)

McDonald was cut over his right eye by a snapping left jab from Calzaghe. McDonald was able to withstand that and the two went toe-to-toe, both at distance and in the clinch, providing a lot of ooh's and aah's from the crowd with various hard shots that landed for each fighter. In Round 3, McDonald was able to focus right in and snapped Calzaghe's head back with a dynamite right cross that sent him kissing canvas! Calzaghe got up and kept fighting but it was obvious he was hurting. McDonald eventually wore him down and finished the fight with a brutal right cross then a flurry of unforgiving punches!

UNDERCARD LIGHTWEIGHT EVENT: “THE SCARECROW” PABLO GARZA (11-6) verus KAMIL BURCZYNSKI (10-5) of the POLISH EAGLES' NEST

This was a solid fight that provided a good amount of back-and-forth action and also displayed various attempts at submissions that each man tried to both execute and defend against. At the end of Round 2, Garza sustained a cut on the bridge of his nose from ground-and-pound techniques from Burczysnki. That cut inspired Garza because in Round 3, he took the fight to the ground again and this time, he was able to lock in the armbar and Burczynski had no choice but to tap!

UNDERCARD FEATHERWEIGHT EVENT: SAMURAI JACK (22-9-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus THAKSIN “THE THAI MACHINE” YODSUWAN (16-10) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Yet another inter-Alliance battle that left nothing in the cage as both men fought hard against one another! Jack but Yodsuwan in the first round with a nasty right knee right on the nose! The remainder of the fight occurred between distance fighting and clinch dancing. Either way it was Jack who was the better man on that night and he was able to secure the UNANIMOUS DECISION!

UNDERCARD FEATHERWEIGHT EVENT: GORDON “THE CROWBAR” FREEMAN (15-4) versus “THE GLASWEGIAN NIGHTMARE” DOUG McDONALD (9-7-1) of EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN

The final fight of the night was a standup war that had the first two rounds being hard to watch for some because there was pain and punishment doled out by both fighters! In Round 3, Freeman unleashed a thunderous overhand right that McDonald just wasn't ready for and it cost him both pain and blood as a nasty left gash opened over his left eye! Freeman saw that the damage was done and stepped up his level of aggression, wearing McDonald down enough to finish him with a textbook right hand, left hook combination that knocked McDonald out cold!

GAMMA #387: JUSTE versus ULTRA 2 REVIEW written by Furious Styles

APRIL 6, 2014 WOMBLEY STADIUM, LONDON 93,607 ATTENDANCE

Greetings ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to another review written by yours truly, Furious Styles. London, England was rockin’ on the eve of April 6 and this review covers the action that went down that night! There were plenty of warriors who tasted the canvas and the raucous crowd loved it of course! GAMMA continues to do its absolute best to bring you the most entertaining and thrilling battles in MMATycoon, so sit back, get comfortable, and take this journey with me on what unfurled!

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: “BIG BAD” MK ULTRA (39-18-1) of GRABTHE.INFO versus RENANT ST JUSTE (33-11) of the LEGION OF DOOM

The Main Event featured the return bout between these two warriors that first occurred on June 5, 2013 that resulted in a Unanimous Decision victory for St. Juste. A good amount of time has passed since these two locked horns and each fighter accomplished quite a bit since that point in their careers. Eventually they knew their paths would cross once again and they left nothing in the cage for this battle!

We saw five rounds of brutality unfold and the crowd was chanting for more when the bell rang! In the first round, Ultra set the tone of the hard-hitting, crushing and painful action by opening a cut on the top of Juste’s left eye with a stinging left jab, then later opened that cut further with a nasty right hook that Juste took in stride and even smiled through while high-fiving Ultra. Talk about being able to take a hard punch! Both men finished the round just as strongly and with as much energy and aggression as it began, but Ultra definitely took the round on points.

In Round 2, even more crimson poured from St. Juste’s eye and it definitely caused trouble for him and made his corner very concerned about their fighter! Ultra’s head-snapping jab was the cause of the blood increase then it was that very same jab that opened it up to the point where it was free flowing and covered St. Juste’s nose, mouth and neck in rivulets of blood. However, much to his credit, that didn’t slow the determined warrior and he survived the round, though again it was Ultra who took the round on points!

Round 3 was all Ultra though St. Juste definitely got in some body-shaking shots that caused Ultra to slow down a bit and be more cautious, but Ultra was determined to maintain his high level of energy and aggression and wouldn’t be denied! Round 4 was one hell of a standup war and St. Juste looked like an action movie villain fighting the hero because he was covered in blood and just kept on coming, a testament to his heart! In the final round, St. Juste tried to change the look of the fight by finally taking it to the ground but Ultra reversed that with an attempted kimura and later, he controlled the action enough to cause the standup.

Both men were exhausted as the final bell rang but they embraced respectfully and both received a standing ovation from the crowd! Ultra earned the UNANIMOUS DECISION victory and evened the battle with St. Juste to one to one. Perhaps they’ll battle in the near future to break that tie. This fight also earned Fight of the Night distinctions.

MAIN CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: ARVYDAS SABONIS (23-10) of AXIS OF EVIL versus “THE WARWAGON” JT COLOSSUS 37-27-1) of THE ILLUMINATI

These two hard-hitting veterans only had one thing in mind: Knockout the opponent or be knocked out by the opponent! There was no going to the ground and trying to outwrestle one another for this battle, no sir! Sabonis, the former basketball player, was able to utilize his great height advantage very well in this fight, but not at a distance. Instead, after taking a lung-deflating body shot from Colossus, Sabonis locked him in a clinch and went to work!

With a flurry of aggression and energy, Sabonis landed punches all over Colossus and eventually rocked his world with a beautiful left hook that snapped Colossus’ head like he was hit by a hammer! Colossus was on dream street but he fought as best as he could, holding on and fighting like a warrior! Sabonis was able to create just enough room to unleash a ferocious right uppercut that turned out Collosus’ lights, giving him the KNOCKOUT VICTORY!

MAIN CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: “PSYCHO SHOOTER” MAX HATRED (15-2) of the EVOLUTION FIGHT CLAN versus DICK INC (27-16) of FIGHTERS FIRST ALLIANCE

The man with the odd name, Dick Inc, did his best to take this fight to the ground where he felt he had the better BJJ ability and thus, attempted to end the fight via submission. Much to his credit, Hatred looked quite comfortable defending himself against the submission attempts and he was able to even sneak in some of his own, keeping Inc off balance sporadically and frustrating him in the process. It was a tossup between the judges as to whom won Round 1.

Round 2 began as a hellacious standup fight with both men landing some painful shots that made the crowd groan, but again the fight went to the ground when Inc took it there. However, this time it was Hatred who turned the tide of battle on the ground, much to Inc’s chagrin! Inc was able to land some brutal ground-and-pound and hurt Hatred a bit, but right afterward, Hatred swept, got into mount position, then unloaded with savagery, cutting Inc above his right eye with one of many powerful shots, then made the cut worse with more animalistic striking, then Dick went limp – no pun intended – and the referee had no choice but to end the fight! Hatred earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT victory!

MAIN EVENT LIGHTWEIGHT UNDERCARD MATCH: “PUNISHER” PETER CABREROS (41-22-1) of THE LEGION OF PAIN versus SICK PUPPY (17-10-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Cabreros was a man possessed in this fight and nothing else can be said! Between Cabreros’ fists and Puppy’s failed takedowns, it was a bad combination for Puppy! He was able to land sporadic punches against Cabreros but they just weren’t enough to stop the onslaught from Cabreros! Cabreros made it even worse with well-timed and very damaging kicks that slowed Puppy a great deal and made him an easy target!

Once Puppy slowed down enough, Cabreros increased his energy and aggression and just rained thunderous punch after punch until the referee jumped in to stop the damage! Cabreros won the fight by way of TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: “EMPORER” MARCUS ULPIUS TRAIANUS (32-15) of TEAM OUTKAST versus MARCEL CLASIE (19-15) of THE BROKEN HALO PRIDE

A slicing left cross from Traianus sent the message early by opening a cut above Clasie’s right eye, then Traianus locked him in a clinch, went to work, and peppered him with punches then jolted his skull with a shoulder strike that dazed him! Clasie tried to hold on but it was just too much then a jaw-crushing left uppercut hurtled Clasie against the cage where Traianus unloaded on him until the ref saved him! Traianus earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT win!

UNDER CARD MIDDLEWEIGHT MATCH: ALLEN ROBINSON (11-3) of the LEGION OF DOOM versus “DEE JAY” BILLY BLANKS (19-12) of GRABTHE.INFO

Except for the second round being close, this fight was all Robinson, whether in the clinch or striking at distance, and the judges gave him the UNANIMOUS DECISION victory!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: “GTi SLAPPERFEST” GEORGE FOREMAN (27-13-1) of GRABTHE.INFO versus “THE CHOSEN ONE” EVANDER HOLYSHIT (32-20-1) of the LEGION OF DOOM

Foreman’s fists caused Evander to say “holy shit” as Foreman pummeled him relentlessly in a battle of famous boxing names, well, except for Evander’s unusual last name! A nasty, massive right cross was the beginning of the end for Holyshit as he was helpless to stop Foreman and as a result, the referee stopped the fight and Foreman earned the TECHNICAL KNOCKOUT win!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: MARK MAKERS (21-12) of THE CONSORTIUM versus PROJECT PAT (19-14) of VALHALLA

A clinch war that saw Pat bleed in Round 3 from a temple-blasting right elbow, care of Makers, this fight was a bit hard to call but the judges deemed the winner to be Makers by UNANIMOUS DECISION!

UNDER CARD SUPER HEAVYWEIGHT EVENT: YOKIDA “KU” MATAE (36-13) versus YRJO JARVINEN (31-20) of THE CORPORATION

Jarvinen was opened up early above his left eye when he dropped his hands and Matae snapped his head with a lighting right cross! The rest of the round was spent in the clinch, on the ground, then back to standing. Round 2 is where Matae introduced his sledgehammer right foot to Jarvinen’s skull, dropping him like he was shot! A cannon-like left cross knocked Jarvinen out on his feet but Matae showed excellent sportsmanship by not landing any more strikes on his unconscious opponent while the referee took too long to stop the fight. Now that’s a man with a good heart! Matae won by KNOCKOUT!

UNDER CARD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT MATCH: JAMES “JIMMY” HOLMES (13-10) of THE BROKEN HALO PRIDE versus CAPTAIN BEEFHEART (17-15) of ACME – ST. PETERSBURG

Beefheart opened a cut above Holmes’ right eye with a sharp left elbow and that seemed to inspire Holmes to fight harder. Beefheart landed another bone-crunching left elbow that opened up the bloodworks even more, but Holmes kept right on fighting and took Round 1. Round 2 was a solid standup battle that Holmes took on the cards, and Round 3 saw Beefeater once again blast that wound and cause even more bloodflow, but Holmes finished strong and won by UNANIMOUS DECISION!

GAMMA has now created an organization where we will be testing our rookie fighters. This org is for teenagers aged 16 to 19. Anyone which is 20y of age will be released or promoted to our GAMMA contenders organization based in Las Vegas (if they are good enough).

Note: One exception to the 18-19y old rule is if your fighter was started at 16 or 17y. In which case they get promoted or released earlier

The purpose of this organization is:

- Fights will always be relatively even as most fighters will be just 18-19 years of age. Usually for most fighters in the game aged 18-19 they struggle to find fair fights in other orgs or on the QFC circuit. This will basically be the only place you will always be up against other teenagers.

- At just 16-19 every fighter will have some clear weaknesses, it will be up to you to try and manipulate them, so you will get plenty of slider testing practice.

- Most importantly though, you can test to see which fighters are worth keeping and those which are not. Often we end up keeping a bunch of useless fighters which have clearly bad hiddens. Not in this case though as you get to test them early.

- Contracts will be relatively small, however you will get to earn a lot more than any other place because i plan to “fund” various tournaments. Whenever we get 8 new fighters join up to a weight class, we will run a mini-tournament and get started. Winning such a tournament will be worth way more than what you could earn anywhere else at this age.

The org is based in Las Vegas to take advantage of the LOD/GAMMA gym network there (so you can ask for an invite to one of the private gyms if you are VIP).

Weight classes

170lbs (Maximum weight for this division is 170lbs), fighters 180lbs and under will be signed here

205lbs (Maximum weight for this division is 205lbs), fighters 215lbs and under will be signed here

265lbs+ (Openweight division), fighters 216lbs and over will be signed here

Greetings and salutations ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the GAMMA Hall of Fame Inductee ceremonies! It’s a proud moment for us to induct 3 veteran superstars to the GAMMA Hall of Fame, so lets get started with the inductions!

“ACES” DEGEN GAMBLER (68491) Mr. “Aces” Degen Gambler today deserves this honor. He won his first Light Heavyweight championship on August 11, 2011. He tried to regain the title on 3 other occasions, however he failed in those attempts. He is a man with feared fists, winning 12 of his 21 fights by KO, ranking him top 10 in that category. He has twice won 5 fights in a row, amongst numerous accomplishments. His biggest wins are over Hannibal Die Rücksichtslos, Jamie Gillis, Danny Tanner, Adis Djurdjevic. GAMMA proudly includes Mr. Gambler among the distinct warriors who are now in the Hall of Fame! Welcome and congratulations champ!

“COQUETTISH” FRED ETTISH (63999) What a career he’s had! A world class fighter in every aspect. He started off his career in our contenders org where he had 6 fights before getting promoted. He had win streaks of 4 wins three times and 5 once. He won the Middleweight Championship on December 29, 2012 and recently recaptured the title, making him a 2 time champ at age 35y. He is also a top 10 in total wins and total fights. Some of his biggest wins are over Nero Aurelius, Tank The Razors Edge, Frank Sinatra, Josip Ruzic and his latest was a win over Usain Watts to regain the title.

FRANK “MY WAY” SINATRA (49637) In May 2014 will be his 3rd year with the org, making him one of the most durable in our history. A world class boxer, wrestler and BJJ artist, he had win streaks of 5 and 6 wins, plus won the Middleweight Championship on May 19, 2013. He is currently in 2nd in the all time fights list with 55 fights and 2nd in total wins with 32. He is also #1 in total wins by submission. His biggest wins are over Erkki Junttila, Dwayne Hicks, Danza Kuduro, Fred Ettish, Raz Matazz (x2) and Keith Green for the 185lbs title. This win in particular was probably one of the biggest upsents in GAMMA's history.

We proudly include these 3 warriors amongst the greats in this fantastic organization. Welcome to the GAMMA World Hall of Fame!

In 2010 and 2011, GAMMA became the first ever org to implement a 4 round ranking system for their undercard fights (title fights were 5 rounds).

The main reason this system was implemented in the first place was that with a 4 round system, you needed to either win a decisive decision or win by TKO/Submission. If not it will lead to a draw.

I calculated that draws are about 1 1/2 times more likely (in total 4.3% of the fights were draws for that period). We also had about 15% more finishes due to the extra round, which in turn led to higher fight/event ratings.

So all in all, the org benefited from better ratings, the fans benefited with more controversy and decisive finishes.

Bottom line is that controversy and rivalries is what it is all about. Often undercard fighters have little chance competing for the title, so the best thing they have going is their history and rivalries within the org. This system helps to enhance that.

I put the decision to a vote and gave our managers these 3 options:

a) Keep it as it is (i.e 3 round fights)
4 rounds for undercard, 5 rounds for title fights
c) 5 rounds for all fights.

Among the people which voted, 15% voted in favor of 3 round, 15% voted in favor of 5 round fights, 20% said they do not mind and 50% in favor of 4 round fights.

So, as of the 30th of June we will be returning to the 4 round fights.
