"I want to announce the new media Buzz promoter, Wayne Kerr!  Wayne has hit the ground running and started following every fighter in the org and will be the voice of Bellicose on the Buzz for the foreseeable future.  Having said that, and reading this preview and manager interactions, I just want to say one thing.  Bellicose is the best fucking org on the entire planet!  And that includes the moon!  I love this org!  Stay Ruthless, Bellicose!"

Nuufo “Soul Breaker” Seanoa (3-2)  vs  Tony Viikinki “Halme” (4-1)

Seanoa is who I call the angry Samoan.  He was none to pleased with his spot in the rankings after the recent rankings released, and rightfully so.  The man had a rocky start, but has wheeled off three strait wins and earned a fight award in his last win over Onbekend C.  The man is coming into his own and with an exceptional striking game and remarkable wrestling, will be a force to be reckoned with.   He’s stepped up in competition this week as he will be facing Viikinki who’s only lose once in his MMA career.  If he can pull off this win, he’ll surely jump into the top 10 in rankings and be on a path towards contender-ship in the Heavyweight division.

Across the cage will be his toughest opponent since Arthur Douglas as he faces off against Viikinki.  “Halme” was on a 4 fight win streak, all by way of KO until he stepped into the cage against the champ, Murska Mfer who defeated him via TKO in the first round.  Viikinki is also an exceptional striker and remarkable wrestler, and this fight is just about as even as it gets.  The only difference is that Seanoa is more of a MT striker while Viikinki is more of a pure boxer.

Outlaw's PickThis fight will be fireworks!  Both guys are strikers who love to throw down and beat the bloody piss out of their opponents.  The one thing that stands out to me is that Seanoa won his last fight via submission which tells me he’s not just a purely defensive fighter on the ground.  That could be the difference in this fight as it would give him more options to pull off a victory if things don’t go his way standing.  For that reason, and that I don’t want my phone being blown up by an angry Samoan, I will go with Nuufo Seanoa to win this fight.  A fun fact here, though… Viikinki’s only loss was to then champion Mfer.  Seanoa’s last loss was to current SHW champion Douglas.

Sonny Says - This fight is a freakin tough one to call. Nuufo "Soul Breaker" Seanoa can maybe (maybe) make this his fight by getting it to the ground but I think Tony Viikinki "Halme" will manage to keep it on the feet for the Decision Win.

16053856854667.png

At least the Hard Man got one thing right here, I do like to beat the bloody piss out of my opponents...call it a Samoan thing if you want...or just call it a SEANOA thing!  But Hard Man and The Macho Man need to learn one thing and learn it quick...I don't need a friggin' ground game to take some dude's head off.  Period.  He wants to step into the cage and pretend to be a striker...cool.  Let's give him a lesson then!  I just took the MF'ers head off just like I said I was going to do when you had the nerve to rank this poor SoaB over me.  It's your fault he won't remember his or his cat's name for a month now!  There will be no decisions here Uso!

Oh...and btw?  I did it in half the time it took the "chump", er..."champ"...to do it.  Take that and shove it up yer Island Hole!

You wanted fireworks?  Well you lit Nuufu Seanoa's MF'ing fuse...now you got em!

"Bellicose just shattered their event rating with tonight's event.  Having set the new high bar last night, tonight we absolutely shattered that record and look to grow.  Congratulations to the new.. umm.. used, champion.  Wait, no, that's not right.  The new and old champion.. well dammit to hell, what do I call him?  Oh, former and now new and current champion, Kanud Odimabesser!"

Slo Moegan: Woah what a finish! What a finish! My mind is blown! Ladies and gentlemen give it up for your winner by armbar in the very first round James Howlett!! Woah James talk us through a bit of this masterful work.

James Howlett: Thanks Slo. No problem. Yeah so it started pretty rocky like we thought it might. He kept stuffing the takedowns. Got him in the clinch and was able to get a trip takedown into side control and all I could hear was cha-ching money baby. But then he did a good job of controlling me and the ref stood the fight up pretty quickly. Which I didn't like. Then he does some more brilliant defending before I get the takedown again. He manages a sweep lands a bit ground and pound. Stands up and decides to try and dive on top of me swinging so I quickly isolate that long arm and get him in a triangle, he makes the adjustment and I put him right into an armbar and the tapping began immediately.

Slo Moegan: That was a brilliant display of bjj work. Perfectly textbook. Ladies and gentlemen watch it online, YouTube, home don't matter that is exactly how it's done. Now we know you wanted to make sure you got a submission win here tonight to solely hold the record for most submissions inside Bellicose. How important was this submission win for you to hear tonight?

James Howlett: You know Slo it's everything I wanted. I want to keep proving that I am the best grappler in the world and also in Bellicose. They have signed some guys with some more submission victories than me, some guys with more ground victories than me from outside of Bellicose and I'm here to say I don't care who you are, what weight class you are in, I don't care if you are a ground and pound style, gnp and submission style, or a BJJ specialist if you can consider yourself a ground warrior or thee ground warrior than I have one thing to say. Come find me because the ground is my domain. I am the KING of the ground. And you will do one of two things to the king of the ground you will either bow down to the king of the ground or quite literally SUBMIT to the king of the ground!

Slo Moegan: You have always been very outspoken and sure of your abilities. Woah woah not saying they aren't deserved you have definitely shown high levels of skill inside the cage here on the ground. When will be see you do some striking?

James Howlett: I'm working on that area of the game, and depending on the opponent it's something you might end up seeing at sometime but I'm a grappler and king of the ground so you shouldn't expect to see me abandon my style. Maybe in a few fights you might see me using some strikes to set up some takedowns so that the takedowns are more disguised. But don't go looking for KOs.

Slo Moegan: So you really looking to beat every single fighter in Bellicose that considers themselves a ground fighter?

James Howlett: Definitely. Everyone is going to learn it's my domain and I'm the ruler of it. You want to be a ground fighter in Bellicose you best come get permission from the king of it first.

Slo Moegan: As always big words from you James and we look forward to your next time out.

Management hears you and has called a special sit-down this evening where this and other important fights will be poked at and decided upon.

We applaud the size of all cohones involved in this and other recent call outs. Bellicose drips with testicular fortitude because we thrive on ruthless aggression. ‘Nuff said.

Keep it violent Bellicose!

From the office of Sonny Muchacho:

“First of all, thank you for your patience in the last 24 hours as management took a longer time than projected to work through how to best accommodate all managers involved in the logjam of talent at the top of our 205 pound division.

LHW has been a hotspot of testosterone and verbal fisticuffs lately and this is fucking beautiful. Outlaw and myself took extra time to work this out best for you guys because we both nurture violent tendencies like a newborn baby - full of promise and magic with endless possibilities in life as long as you are the one be that takes off the other man’s head first. Yeah, my poor kids but whatever...

I will admit there may have been a certain six hour period of negotiations that was a wash because Outlaw and I switched up our intoxicants at midnight when I started drinking his whiskey and he hit the bong for the first time in decades. Not productive and we now know this 🤷‍♂️

With all this said, the fight that clearly needs to happen is Kai versus Smif. ASAP. End of story. These guys don’t want a title shot they want the “Baddest LHW M’Fer on the Planet” strap.

You wanted it... you got it! Bellicose 102 on May 27 will now feature Smif vs Kai at LHW!

Hopefully the fight makes it past the introductions as there is some very serious hostility building up to this battle. No dollies being thrown at busses people. Let’s enjoy a clean refined form of brutal gore. Fight is set for 5 rounds so you will it’s be given ample time to adequately separate your opponent from consciousness. Best of luck in that endeavor!”

Apparently the smack talk has already revamped backstage!

Sanka Coffee: Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, get on up it's MMA time! How's all my bruddas and sistas? Got James Howlett here with me today.

James Howlett: Sanka! How's it going? I'm ready to get in there and making everyone start tapping.

Sanka Coffee: I hear you have a fight against the former two time welterweight champ Rock Romero coming up at welterweight, is that true?

James Howlett: Yeah it is. I'm not moving up or anything like that. It's just a pride fight. He wants to go and I'm willing to tap out anyone. Like I said I am the ground king. No one is going to beat me on the ground. No one ever had and no one ever will. The way to beat me is on the feet. I'm sure that is going to be Romero's game plan he's a huge welterweight and hits like a hammer. He isn't going to try and ground and pound me because if he does same thing happens to him that happened to Ramano I grab something and game over. I can take a shot here and there but it's not what I'm known for I'm known for having the best damn ground game in the business. Which is evident in the loss to champion at 155 he's hard hitting technical striker and he knocked me out quick so how I'm going to handle the powerful shots from a big hard hitting welterweight is pretty obvious, but the fight will hit the ground and he will submit to me.

Sanka Coffee: Understand you aren't going to bulk up for this fight is that true?

James Howlett: That is right. I'll fight anyone wanting to prove they have what it takes again the king of the ground. It's my dominion and my domain. I don't need to take forever to bulking up and cutting down I'll go in as is and show I have the skill to get it done.

Sanka Coffee: Is this something you plan on doing a lot?

James Howlett: If I am offered a fight in my division yeah I'll fight it no problem, but pride fights yeah I'd love to do a lot of fights for pride. I said any ground warrior rather you take after the godfather of ground and pound, or you are like James Miller and beat guys up and TKO them or use it to open them up to submit them, or are like Damian Maia was and said hey I'm a submission artist and it's what I do, I'll prove to you that you are no match for the king of the ground. Try some ground and pound and get submitted, have a mixture I'll get a dominant position and submit you, submission expert I'll show you I can't be tapped and use my extreme experience and flexibility to make you quit and submit. Put simply I won't be beat in my domain. I said it, I called it, and will prove it to anyone who wants to test it.

Sanka Coffee: And what do you think of your opponent Romero?

James Howlett: No doubt about it he is a former two time champion at welterweight. He is the real deal and a great fighter but when it comes to the ground it would be like a junior high football team playing against an NFL team. It's a miss match. We both know he isn't wanting any part of the ground in this fight. But he's a great fighter.

Sanka Coffee: Well I will be front row for the fight James. Good luck.

Just to clarify something... I had promised a fight between Baby Thibs and Kai last month.  Actually, the fight had been talked about before Smif had even joined Bellicose again.  So I am all for giving those smack talk call out fights opportunities, as that's exactly what I had done booking the Thibs vs Kai fight, seems like one of the fighters didn't want to fight that fight after all and had turned their attention to a different opponent.

Now I have no problem with making the change, as Sonny mentioned earlier.  It's a great fight and I expect a great result.  I hope that call outs continue to happen and we can continue to book them to make everyone happy.  But with that said, I want to be very clear about something.  I will always do everything I can to book a call out fight, but I cannot allow that call out fight to mess up the title fights lined up as this one did.  The top two contenders in the division both wanted to fight Kai, mostly due to the shit talking being done, but both wanted to fight Kai and not fight the champion as the rankings and recent fight history would propose them to do.  This now leaves me, and Bellicose, in a tough predicament as we now have no challenger this month for the title at 205 because all the contenders want to beat the shit out of each other.   In a way, it's a good problem to have, but at the same time, this is not fair to the champ or to the organization and it's fans.

There is a solution for this which allowed us to go ahead and move forward with booking Smif vs Kai, though it leaves Baby Thibs without an opponent this month unless I feed him a lower ranked fighter.  Duannis Frank will be getting another crack at the title assuming he wins his fight on the 6th.  This will help keep the title picture moving forward (again, assuming he wins) but he will be taking the fight on short notice as he's fighting on the 6th already.

So while the 205 is probably my favorite torture pot of a division, thank you for bearing with me as we work though this cluster fuck that is the top of the division.  On a personal note, the fight I want to see more than probably any other fight in the org right now is Smif vs Thibs.  That 2nd fight should happy ASAP IMO.  That should be the fight that sets up the next title fight.  But, it'll have to wait at least another month, and more likely another two months.. again.. assuming both fighters would be willing to take the fight.

So thank you all for your patience and blood lust, it keeps the job fun.  Just please be aware that we have a title picture always swirling around and we can't always make the call out fights happen if it will mess up that title picture.  However, if we can make it happen and have another fighter lined up to jump in and take the spot, we'll do what we can to make your dreams come true.

And finally, possibly the most important part of this post, I want to make a rule known that Bellicose will be adopting that happens in real world fight orgs.  From this point forward, if your fighter is the top contender and you decline to fight for the belt because your fighter is not ready or you don't think you have a chance, that's fine.  But, when that happens, your fighter will be dropped a minimum of 5 spots in the rankings so that other fighters can leap up and take their shot and not be held up by a fighter who doesn't want to go for the strap.

I hope everyone understands and this is considered fair.  But it's the only thing we can do to ensure that we have a healthy championship rotation going on and steady fights for our champions.

I am happy with the win, but I want to do better next time out."

That division was not effected by the recent cards so no changes were made.  So it was a copy/paste from last week on that division.  Once the new rankings come out, it'll be corrected.
