Description:

Nestled in the heart of the bustling mega-metropolis that is Tokyo, the Bushido Ace Arena is a large multi-purpose indoor arena that can accommodate 40,000 people at maximum capacity. Unlike other famous venues that the city has to offer, the Bushido Ace Arena is the only venue in the country designed with Mixed Martial Arts as it's primary focus - setting it apart from the competition. Investors for the BAA project hope to help bridge the gap between the smaller venues of the city and the one mega-arena it currently hosts, while simultaneously providing opportunities and facilities that will aid in the continued growth of MMA.

Separate to the main space, the Bushido Ace Arena also provides a smaller secondary location - Kitano Hall - that plays host to a variety of events. One such event is the recurring monthly amateur MMA tournaments known as the Bushido Rookie tournaments, which look to provide up-and-coming young talents with a safe and regulated environment in which to gain experience and start their careers off the right way.

Proposal:

Named after Hawaii's King Kamehameha, the Kamehameha Kahua ("Kamehameha Site") is Crazy Horse Construction's development proposal for the newly cleared site in Hilo. Boasting state of the art multi-purpose facilities, this new development wants to be THE hub for events not just for Hilo and "The Big Island" but for all of Hawaii. This proposal aims to make Hilo an economical powerhouse within this state while paying homage to the values and way of life in its proposed home. While Kamehameha Kahua aims to become a Hawaii-wide and internationally renowned arena, the present capacity is a nod to its local roots, with it matching the exact number of residents present in Hilo as of the latest census data. This is a place for every person in this community, and this capacity number is a nod to that.

Further to this, Kamehameha Kahua aims to be one of the most sustainable arenas in the world. We acknowledge that such a large infrastructure asset isn't always constantly being in use, so it was important for us to design an arena that leaves as small an environmental footprint as possible but also gives back to the community. In a world-leading initiative, the outer ring of the arena (known affectionately internally as the Hula Hoop) and parts of the retractable roof will be covered in 5000 photovoltaic cells. Taking inspiration from Taiwan's Kaohsiung World Stadium, this setup aims not only to make the arena totally self-sufficient electricity wise, but will also be a source of additional bonus power that the local government can sell-on to third parties to help provide cheaper, sustainable power for all Hilo residents. Additionally, the proposal aims for the arena to have a rainwater collection and filtration system to provide additional sustainable sources of water for certain stadium facilities like toilets.

Proposal:

Combate de Cima is the latest business proposal of the Shadow Realm business empire and would be the centerpiece of a mega sports complex located in the heart of the Distrio Federal of Brasilia. The complex would feature state of the art multi-purpose sports and entertainment facilities, including bars, restaurants, hotels and a full casino. The stadium itself will be designed to accomodate up to 72,788 seats for live music, football and of course MMA. The proposal aims to restore Rio de Janeiro as the mecca of the MMAT universe while paying homage to the culture of the people of Brazil.

While hosting MMA and football events in the main stadium will be the primary focus of the facility, the complex is designed to be an adult's play ground of dance, music, and carnival themed entertainment. In addition to the main stadium, casino and hotels, the outer perimeter of the complex will feature a full-sized Formula One style race track where high rollers and choose to test drive some of the fastest cars in the world. It is believed that once the complex is completed a pitch will be made to include an official stop on the Formula One race car tour.

Congratulations to the winners! Week 2 will commence at the time of this posting and be decided August 7th.
Good luck!

Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Fighters come to Amsterdam's Invictus Stadium to test their mettle, to achieve greatness, and to show the world they are the masters of their fate.  This state of the art facility hosts 12 Gyms, 2 Spa's, a 250 bed 5-star hotel, and a 45,000 seat stadium hosting NFL, MMA, FIFA, as well as music and theatre productions from around the world. The Invictus Stadium's design is a masterpiece of modern architecture, seamlessly blending functionality with aesthetics. I'd love to see Kilo Stadium make its way into the game for a bunch of reasons. It's got a solid logo design, a good concept behind it and has strong connection to the game's culture and history, as it pertains to tycoon's most decorated fighter.

I know my opinion doesn't actually matter since its not down to us, but I thought I'd just put it out there.

Arena Name: Otso Jokinen Arena

Capacity (40k-80k): 60,000

Location: Helsinki

Creator's In-Game Name: Don Frye

History

The greatest lightweight to have ever graced the game. He held the #1 FW, LW and WW spots during his reign of terror - going on a 19 fight win streak dominating the best at FW, LW and WW. He was the long time Nordic Fighting Championship champ before moving on to Evolution and holding their LW title.

He defeated the who's who from 145-170 and has a resume that very few fighters can claim to have. He was the best fighter that the FinnFighters ever produced which is an achievement in itself. He was the best fighter from the golden era of tycoon and was the best lightweight in the game for almost 4 years. While the man himself was diminutive in stature the man was a giant in tycoon.

This arena is a fitting tribute to the man who put Helsinki on the map.

History:

In the history of MMA Tycoon, many battles have graced the cyber landscape. Kilo vs Leifsson, Sector vs Matsuzaka, Humors vs Basic Human Decency. Yet, perhaps the most iconic of these battles is the one between MMA Tycoon and adding new locations. This Arena pays homage to the trailblazers, nay- the martyr's who have given the ultimate sacrifice in order to pioneer the Tycoon world to locations unknown. Perhaps best known of these individuals is Akaky MikkedMiamiov, ([MYK]-[ad]-[My-am-EE-av]) a poor St. Petersburg peasant  around the turn of the 19th century who was hired by a rich Duke of the British Isles to survey the unexplored land. MikkedMiamiov would discover the land that eventually became The Island.

It’s decision day for Round 2 of the contest! Unfortunately, the actual decision on who won this round will be made tomorrow as over the weekend I was a bit under the weather both figuratively and literally. My power came back on late yesterday, thankfully, and with that I promise to look at all the submissions tonight. Sorry for the delay!

All submissions made below this post will be deferred to next week. Thank you again for participating and making this contest a huge success!

Congratulations to the winners! I’m also very pleased to announce that the winning arenas are already available in-game! Next Monday concludes both the 3rd round and the contest itself. Feel free to tweak and resubmit any arenas that were not selected through the first two rounds. Slight adjustments could be the key to getting through.

Also to reveal a little of the selection criteria as this next round will be a little trickier than the first couple, 2 key factors to an arena being selected are:

-If the location already has a new arena

-If the manager submitting the arena has already had one selected (no multis)

The cities that have not been given a new arena are Sydney, Montreal, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, London, and St Petersburg. I would advise that any new submissions include one of those locations. Good luck!

While I too don't like the add Miami shit, St. Pete's is lucky its in the game to begin with lol. Makes as much sense as Hilo or Helsinki, though at least the latter has some legacy now with all the Finns.

Congrats to this week's winners. I'm debating whether or not to submit another design as I've already had one confirmed but we'll see.

Thought it was clear I was taking the piss- I thought it'd be a funny inclusion considering St Petersburg is always the one that is suggested to be removed. I assumed it wouldn't be a suggestion taken seriously

Fair point, I'll admit I didn't see it as parody at first, maybe a result of seeing Zello telling everyone who doesn't blindly cheer along to fuck off too many times.

Though I don't see Russia as 1 thing, there's 2 sides to Russia one side is Putin & his lackeys the other are the (mostly) decent Russians who simply can't speak out or they'll either get their asses sent to the front line to get chewed up like meat or carted off to some of the worst jails on the planet, or find themselves having an accidental escape from a high rise building by way of a window.
