Fuck, now you gone and done it dudes!  Thanks a lot for that, I really appreciate it, seriously.  Do you know what it's like to be on the phone for a half an hour with a pissed off Samoan as they just lose their shit in a running monologue of cussing and bitching?  Yeah, I just got a fucking earful and you can be sure you're probably about to get it also Hardman...probably you as well Macho Man!!! Nuuf is pissed as all fuck!  I'll give you the cliffnotes here, but in between his Samoan ranting and cursing I caught something about him being on a 3 fight win streak, being 3-1 at Belicose so far, and having all his wins be via finish, two KO's and a submission, and he gets left unranked?  Jesus dude, why you do me like this and make me have to listen to this shit?!?  I feel sorry for the fella who got ranked 10th...in between the cussing, spitting, hissing and everything else I just caught something along the lines of "that fucker that I'm about to pound into a pulp...!"  Doesn't sound fun, glad it's not me...

LMFAO!  He's technically #14 in the rankings.  P4P has really hurt him in this.  But, another win and he'll make a jump, of that I'm sure.   After his next win, he'll get a higher ranked opponent that should help.  Thanks for the heads up though, I'll mute his call so I don't have to hear it first hand.  This is ownership fault due to match making him against lower ranked guys so that he hasn't gotten the glory he probably deserves.  Don't worry though, his finishes and wins are adding up in the points tracking as he's in a 2 way tie for 4th place in the division in total points for this year.

Yeah...that's great and all bro...I sent him a text and told him the good news about the points ranking.  Know what I got back?  "Ties are for bitches and fourth place is for pussies!"  Yeah, that helped. I'm turning my phone off for tonight...

Tim Horton: Challenge accepted, send the contract. I’m gonna take your soul from your body with ease, for another belt?! Send the fucking contract, ask Jake about me boy... He knows #TheGreatWhiteNorth, I heard a rumor going around I might fight my former teammate Dedrick Havoc as he was the champion in CDFC. If he wants that fight I will have to respectfully accept that. Then I’ll lose some weight, and take my 170 championship home. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

ANOTHER BELLICOSE PRODUCTION...
BELLICOSE 88!

image.png.f7fd51761112d75dd57ee9bb93057ffd.png

We have a big night ahead of us this Saturday! Some amazing match ups and the Super Heavyweight title fight for the ages!

Bartholomew ’Bartman’ Bainbridge VS Michael ’Nasty’ Nessen

Bartman, a sensational Light Heavyweight prospect with amazing striking and grappling that should never be scoffed at. Coming off a Majority Decision loss to the other sensational prospect Ian Stronk (2-0 at the time), Bartman will be looking to redeem himself with a big win over Nessen! Bartholomew hits hard, can move in and out of range with ease, double leg you and drop bombs from above. The only flaw in his game, his BJJ isn’t as strong as would be ideally desired, this doesn’t stop him mixing it up in all areas of the fight though! On the flip side, Michael Nessen is so talented on the ground you’d swear he’s Brazilian! Michael Nessen is a brown belt in BJJ with a 2-3 record and a 100% finish rate within his winning column. Currently on a 2-fight losing streak, Michael will be looking to make a statement to finally get back to his winning ways. Despite his obvious BJJ credentials, Nessen doesn’t offer much in the way of striking or wrestling. I would like to see him vary up his training just that little bit more to really show something else in the cage.

Prediction: The Bartman strikes again! First round TKO, his striking and wrestling advantage (by a huge margin) will be the decider here. Keeps it standing and puts the pressure on him early!

Pete Os vs Alexander Petrov

Pete Os is a prolific boxer with strong wrestling whilst Alexander Petrov is a sensational striker with a purple belt in BJJ. This is a good match up for both men however I feel Petrov outmatches the physically smaller (not by height) Os. Pete Os is 3-3 with a 100% finish rate in both columns, currently on a 2-fight losing streak he will be looking to put a big stamp on his performance come Saturday. Petrov is 2-2-1 with a 50% finish rate in his win column yet a 100% finish rate within his losses, also on a two-fight losing streak, Petrov will be looking to redeem himself with a big win over Pete Os. This is a fun Light Heavyweight match up with two fights having nothing to lose yet everything to gain.

Prediction: Petrov via 2nd round TKO, I think the first round will be even with Petrov taking over in the second and forcing the finish!

Stu ’East Texas’ Redman VS Fedor ’T-101’ Vovchanchyn

This is a fun Welterweight match up! East Texas is coming into this match up with a 4-2 record and 100% KO/TKO rate, what a savage! Winning his last bout by 1st round TKO, Redman has some serious momentum coming into this bout, not to mention he is no stiff on the ground and has picked up some invaluable experience in the cage ahead of his debut here at Bellicose! His opponent however is the dangerous T-101, this man is literally Terminator in the stand-up department with strong boxing and amazing Muay Thai! In his debut within the cage, he landed a knockout within the first minute of the fight! Boasting some of the best striking in his division and some strong grappling alongside this, he is a big problem in the division.

Prediction: Vovchanchyn via 2nd round TKO, despite the difference in experience, Fedor’s striking prowess completely overshadows that fact.

Alexander ’Maestro’ Korolev VS Walter Mason

This is quite the match up! Two middleweights will come to blows in what proves to be an exciting match up. Maestro sits comfortably at 4-3 with a 50% finish rate. The record is deceiving though, this man is very skilled in all four major disciplines, holding a significant advantage in boxing and wrestling. Losing his last fight due to a severe cut (still think a fight getting stopped on cuts is stupid but, oh well!), Maestro must be raging and ready to go to war! Walter Mason on the other hand has a 3-2 record with a 66.66666% finish rate. Being completely well rounded, the most notable attributes of Mason’s game is his boxing and wrestling, they’re almost identical but... Mason’s wrestling outclasses Maestro’s significantly. Mason is coming off a split decision loss and I don’t doubt he’s pissed and looking for a win after, what many feel, was a robbery!

Prediction: Walter Mason by unanimous decision, I feel his grappling advantage will be the deciding factor in this match up and he’ll be able to grind it out to a lopsided points win.

Dave ’Da Giant’ DeMartin VS Orestes ’Random Name Generator’ Prometheus

DeMartin, the Muay Thai fighter who can wrestle! This Heavyweight packs a damn punch but has also shown he can go the distance and has a respectable gas tank! His 4-2 record is a merit to his skillset, with a 75% finish rate (all TKO’s), the point earlier about packing a punch is definitely true! Despite being TKO’d twice, DeMartin has shown he has a chin in his bout against DeMartin Daso, a big hitter himself, where he stood his ground until the TKO loss in the 3rd round. Never count DeMartin out! Prometheus is an iron-chinned boxer with a teep kick in his back pocket as well being a strong grappler in both areas of wrestling and BJJ. Being on a 2-fight winning streak (Both TKO’s), he is carrying some serious momentum and despite losing twice, he’s never been finished (and in my opinion? Never in any trouble).

Prediction: Prometheus via a unanimous decision (comfortable points win). I don’t think Prometheus will get the finish in this bout but, his grappling mixed with his strong striking should get him the win.

Chris Bibi VS Ian Stronk

The better grappler versus the better striker? This is set to be a very interesting matchup. The grappler? Chris Bibi, a purple belt in BJJ and some very high-level wrestling! The striker? Ian Stronk, the prolific boxer with amazing Muay Thai! Despite the obvious grappling heavy approach in his fights, Bibi does have some real skilful boxing with some technical footwork. Stronk however boasts strong wrestling and a blue belt in BJJ despite his obvious striking prowess. Chris Bibi has a record of 5-3 with a 100% finish rate, Ian Stronk has a 3-0 record with a TKO and two decisions to his name. With both men coming off a win and having strong skillsets, I’m looking forward to this one!

Prediction: This is a hard one to predict. After some reflection I decided to settle on going with Chris Bibi for the win! Chris Bibi should get this done via a 3rd round TKO, his ground and pound is strong and he can certainly grapple with the best of them! This fight should be fireworks on either side, I however do see Stronk taking the first round.

Miyata ’Dragon Fish’ San VS Yamasaki ’The Master’ Mishimoto

The Dragon Fish is a GDL veteran and former title challenger, making his Bellicose debut at 5-1, it’s interesting to see what he’ll bring to the Featherweight division here at Bellicose! Never seeing the distance, Miyata has TKO'd all 5 of his victims and lost by submission against Arild Moen, who was 3-0 at the time (currently 5-0). Welcoming Miyata San to Bellicose is a true veteran of this promotion, Yamasaki Mishimoto! The Master sits at 5-5, with 3 finishes in his win column and 2 unanimous points wins. Mishimoto is also coming off a loss and his morale is lower than is optimal. Despite this, Yamasaki is always game and won’t stop swinging until the last bell, or until he can’t swing no more. Miyata San has a big test ahead of him this Saturday!

Prediction: The Dragon Fish should win in the first round via TKO/KO, Mishimoto is experienced and a true favourite here at Bellicose, but the Dragon Fish is too damn good and has that experience at the highest level!

Kazuya ‘Tekken’ Mishima VS Buster ‘The Clubber’ Glover

A long-awaited Middleweight clash! Tekken is a pure savage finishing machine, with a 6-3 record and a 100% finishing rate of all TKO’s. Winning two ‘FOTN’ and two ‘KOTN’ awards throughout his career, Tekken is a huge fan favourite and incredibly fun to watch! With exceptional Muay Thai, great wrestling and a brown belt in BJJ, his only weakness is his boxing... not that it matters when you can throw a head kick like this guy! Coming off a TKO loss to the incredibly talented Alexander Kuznetsov (4-1 at the time), Tekken surely wants another big finish under his belt to get him back to his winning ways. Buster Glover is a big finisher himself but has also shown his resilience and gas tank with two unanimous decisions under his belt. Buster boasts a 5-1 record, his only loss coming from former Bellicose champion Hao Sawamura! Since then, he’s gone on a 2-fight winning streak with two TKO’s, this momentum surely fills him with confidence going into this bout. Glover is an incredibly well-rounded individual with his specialisations lying within boxing and Muay Thai.

Prediction: This is possibly the hardest fight for me to predict on this card! I have to go with Glover due to his momentum going into this fight and his striking prowess! Glover via 2nd round TKO!

Pentti Koyri VS Booger ‘Eater’ Magee

This is an exciting matchup for everyone watching Saturday night! Koyri is a 5-1 Mixed Martial Artist who fought for the title against Tarik Oren in his last bout. Koyri is a rather small Heavyweight in terms of the rest of his peers but that hasn’t stopped him being damn impressive since he stepped into the cage. With 5 straight KO/TKO’s before finally losing to Oren, Pentti Koyri has shown all levels of savagery with 1st round finishes all across the board! Being very well rounded, he has incredible Muay Thai, strong boxing, amazing wrestling and a brown belt in BJJ. Considering his grappling credentials, Koyri never relies off this and instead likes to swing for the fences and show off his phenomenal power! His KO of the Night award is a true testament to this man’s power. Booger Magee, would you believe that this animal has a 6-8 record? The majority of his losses came very early in his career, however, he is currently on a massive 4-fight winning streak. Having amazing boxing and strong grappling in both the areas of wrestling and BJJ, this man is a terror no matter where the fight goes! His last fight against Nikita Yashin (6-4 at the time) is a true testament to how much he’s improved since he began his career, I’m scared to see how much more he improves as his career goes on.

Prediction: Despite the massive improvement by Magee on his overall game, I feel Koyri is still levels ahead and should take this with a 1st round TKO!

Lastly, we have our main event of the evening!

The Super Heavyweight title is on the line!

Introducing first... the undefeated, undisputed, reigning Super Heavyweight champion of Bellicose... Murska Mfer!!!

image.png.d172d1a4e52c928c88802ecb057d827d.png

Murska Mfer is 8-0 with a 100% finish rate, 6 TKO’s and 2 Sub’s to be exact! With wins over Bobby Saturn and Ahjo Kuomanen, this man has fought some of the best of the Bellicose roster and lived to tell the tales of success! Being truly well rounded, there is no flaws in this man’s game, sensational boxing, amazing Muay Thai, strong wrestling and a purple belt in BJJ, this man can do it all. Alongside his obvious skillset and unblemished record, he holds two KO of the Night awards and a Submission of the Night award! Being the current champion, there is obviously some level of pressure for Mfer to be able to retain his title against the challenger. Mfer has done this countless times so he’ll be just fine with the pressure I believe.

Now, introducing his opponent the knockout machine... Arthur ‘The Hound’ Douglas!

image.png.aed1bbc3c85eda05cd299d42a9c6c918.png

Arthur Douglas sits at 5-2 with 4 TKO’s to his name, this guy is a warrior through and through! On a 2-fight winning streak, this guy has earned his shot at the title especially after that sensational KO of the Night finish over Leonid Zakharov. The Hound has proven his grit through three decisions in his career, one that he won and two he lost. He has a chin; he has heart but he also has a fight-ending punch! Being only one of two people to have defeated Douglas Sampson, this man is a danger to the division and I wish him the best of luck against Mfer.

Prediction: Despite the grit and ability of Douglas, Murska is a freaking animal and I can only see a 2nd round KO in this one for Murska!

So, that’s the fights summed up and picked apart.

This preview was brought to you by our sponsors, Brooklyn Threads!

Title Fight Hype-Light!

XpSn4kx.jpg

Super Heavyweight Title Fight

Sonny - Let’s dig in deep on the sole title fight on the card. Murska Mfer - the reigning, defending, and unbeaten champion of the Bellicose open weight division puts his perfect record on the line versus Arthur “The Hound” Douglas. Both of these men come into each fight with the pure intention of decapitation of their opponent. Equally matched in boxing and a very close give-and-take in the Mui Thai and wrestling departments, this fight is a pick-em of heavy hitters.

Outlaw - It should be noted that Mfer wanted this fight.  He actually asked for a fight against some of the available top talent in the Heavyweight division as he's practically run through the best the Super Heavyweight has to offer.  This man has been unstoppable, and he's hungry for more.  Douglas did not hesitate in the challenge, so this should be an all out war and I'm very excited to see how it turns out.

Sonny - In what could be the deciding factor in an equally matched fight you have to notice that Murska will occasionally grab a takedown and submit his opponent. He will have the purple to blue advantage in the belt department so this seem a viable option again here.

Outlaw - No doubt, he definitely will want to throw out his full arsenal in this one as the longer you stay on your feet, anything could happen against another power hitter.  But I expect Douglas to be prepared for that and look to keep this standing.  Honestly, this should be one hell of a slobber knocker.

Sonny - However, it seems recently Murska would prefer a clinch beat down to takedowns lately so that is very well where we may see this fight go, stay, and be decided.

Outlaw - Good point.  He Mfer may have the clinch advantage here, but I know the management team of Douglas and they are no stranger to the clinch game.  Douglas has done well to avoid the clinch, but do not be surprised if he's fully prepared to go to war in the clinch.

Sonny - The challenger is the absolutely deadly Arthur “The Hound” Douglas.  Arthur comes in solely focused on taking home a head as his trophy. Deadly KO power, and flexibility within his game plans will be his keys to victory as he looks to take over the largest throne and n the Bellicose stage. Some say Arthur has kept his true abilities somewhat mysterious.  His gym mates claim the man has nasty clinch work but simply prefers to box because he is simply a warrior. Will he unleash the dirty boxing finally or is it a non-option for the boxing specialist?  Secondly, and may be more important, can he stop the takedown and the oppressive smothering from the excessively large Mfer? Nobody wants 300 pounds of a sweaty Fin slathering him all night so let’s assume Arthur has been touching up on his takedown defense accordingly.

Outlaw - You mention the size advantage of Mfer.  This is something he would be able to use in the clinch or on the ground.  However, Douglas will have the speed advantage so look for him to dance around a bit and land big shots when they present themselves.  I fully expect the first round to be more of a feeling out process as these guys test each others range and game plan, but as the round goes on, the action will pick up and this fight will be toe to toe until someone falls like a felled tree.

Sonny - Let’s get to my pick and make it official. Murska Mfer can and should take the fight to the clinch and lean for the TKO victory. this main event. Can Douglas claim the KO before Mfer has his way? He absolutely can but since I have to pick I’m going with the Mfer by KO in round 2.

Outlaw - I'm with you here.  All the credit in the world to Douglas for stepping up for this one.  And no doubt he's got a chance here, but I can't go against the proven 8-0 record of the champ here.  The one thing I can say about this fight that I'm absolutely sure of is that it will not go the distance.

Sonny - One thing’s for sure - we will be treated to a hell of a fight with a probable KO finish so sit back and enjoy!

"Bartman" Bainbridge's Post Fight Presser

         df72a16d76e1606943711dc233eabf11.png

*Bainbridge comes walking into the post-fight presser and music starts playing...loud...but not loud enough that you can't hear him singing along and altering a few key lyrics...*

"Nowwwww...here's a little story I've got to tell...
About three nasty shots Nessen knows so well!
It started way back with eighty-eight...!"

*Bainbridge laughs and lets the Boys play as he finishes making his way up to the podium...*

*Bainbridge points to the AV dude and has him turn things down a bit...and then looks out to the crowd with a shit-eating grin...*

"OK, let's have at it, I wanna keep this as short as the fight folks! Who's wants some?"

"Bart, Dee Light with the Hardcore Chronicle here.  The media preview for this fight indicated that the Bellicose front-office felt that your striking would be superior in this fight and you'd press Nessen early. Clearly you did just that.  Was that always the plan or did your camp adjust with the preview?"

"Hey Dee!  My second cousin, Nati Pisswater, told me a lot about you!  Catch me after the show girl! But yeah, we planned to take it to him early and often, Dee.  We suspected Nessen didn't have much of a chin...if you looked back, he'd been TKO'd early in his career and in January Micka Slice knocked his ass out in twenty-four seconds!  Our goal was to make that look like a drawn out fight!"

*Another voice rings through the crowd*

"Nati, back here!...Debbie D. Dallas, Sporting Wood Dispatch...So was the strategy to go more to the head, body, clinch?  What was the full game plan?"

"Triple D!  My girl!  You're more than welcome to join Dee and I later girl, you know this!  Why are we talking about game plans and all? Hell, there's no point...I mean, I don't know if that was a record or whatever here at Bellicose, but even if it isn't it's a fight everybody is going to remember...well, everybody except Nessen! We opened this bitch up right with fireworks girl!  Game plan?  It was just what you saw...to quote my Boys...I did it like this, I did it like that, I did it with a FUCKING CONCRETE FILLED wiffle ball bat' baby!!!  But don't worry girl, I know how to use that bat in lots of different ways..." *winks*

"Alright, this thing has already lasted longer than that ten second fight! The good news, I'll be back training first thing Monday, but now...it's after party time mates!"

*Bart heads off stage but not before pointing to the AV dude again and picked up with his modded lyrics...*

"Mike Nessen's out, the music stopped
His boy had beef, and he got dropped
Bunny Boy grabbed the money (And I snatched the gold)
I grabbed two girlies and a beer that's cold!"

"Let's get to it!  Ladies...I'll see you there!"

What a weekend!  Only one event and a few changes in the rankings based on the results, but we've also had a few fighters move weight classes and it's really starting to paint a different picture in a few divisions.  A couple of the divisions are exactly the same as they were last week, but most have some changes.  Buster Glover with a big win breaks into the top 10 at Middleweight.  San picks up a huge win and makes a jump into the top 5 of Featherweight.  Slice bounces back with a big win and takes a leap in the P4P rankings and lands back within the top 10 of the Light Heavyweight division.  Hunt Mfer drops weight and moves to 205 where he's an instant contender.  Bigalow with a win cracks back into the bottom of the top 10 of the Heavyweight division, and the biggest news of the weekend is there is a new champion of the Super Heavyweight division as A. Douglas moves up from the Heavyweight division upon being challenged by the champ, M. Mfer and he delivers with a brutal first round KO of the champ to hoist the gold strap!

A few more title fights come into focus as we will look to book Douglas to defend his new belt against top contender I. Mfer, training partner of M. Mfer who just lost the belt.  Also, Sampson (training mate of Douglas) finds himself in the top contender spot at Heavyweight and will look to challenge the champ there for the Heavyweight strap.

Fight offers will be going out over the next 24 hours now that rankings are into focus, so be on the look out for your offer and start preparing for your next war!

Our PPV week is upon us!  I know we may have jumped the gun on PPV a little, but it's to build PPV hype leading up to better things.  The way the system works, this PPV will be part of our hype formula for the PPV at Bellicose 100.  With that said, we've started to get the ball rolling on some stuff behind the scenes.  Sonny has put together a little hype video for your viewing pleasure.  Jake will be working on the write up, and Sonny and I will do what we do and either add our flavor to his work or do our own thing for the highlight fights.  Without any further ado, enjoy!
