Didn't want to commit until I knew for sure, but looks like I'll have time to do previews for the cards this weekend.  I should have them both posted Friday at some point.

If anyone wants to send some words of wisdom, advice, warning, or anything else towards their opponents, let me know and I'll work it in!

Bellicose I

12 NOV 2022

New York

It’s been a while since we had Bellicose up and running like the well-oiled machine it was, and was meant to be.  Due to unfortunate set of circumstances that saw our co-owner, Sonny, go inactive due to RL events, Bellicose had to make a drastic change to save the roster.  As you all know, I’ve done my best to see to saving this great roster and for the most part, appear to have been successful.  We brought over approximately 85% of the roster and have also now added many fighters from the inactive LAFC roster as well to rebuild Bellicose into a 370k org.

What’s great about this move is also the one that leaves me saddened.  While it’s great to see so many of our fighters who continue to embrace the Home of Ruthless Aggression as they step up to face even greater competition, it’s also saddening to see some of the best fighters in Bellicose history shy away from the competition to make the move over.  Some do so for personal reasons, others do so because they don’t want to fight where they are not the clear-cut best fighter.  For a manager, one cannot fault these fighters as a manager’s primary goal is to win and promote successful fighters.  However, to be the best you have to beat the best.  So shying away from tough competition is quite the opposite of that.  So, who knows what will happen in time, some of those fighters may find their way back to Bellicose once they have focused on training for a while.  Others may look for a softer home to pad the records.  Time will tell.

But the new chapter officially starts tomorrow, on Saturday, November 12th as the first official Bellicose event of this new chapter finally kicks off.  And we have several cards coming up to look forward to so let’s go ahead and jump into this new chapter with fists flying and blood spilling.

Preliminaries

Paddy Murphy  VS  Kurosaki Hisoka

Murphy:

Paddy is a middle of the road fighter overall in his career with a 6-6 record.  While starting his career off 4-0 having won an unprecedented 3 consecutive fights via doctor stoppage at BMF, he joined Bellicose and opened with a win over De Koning before hitting a wall of four consecutive losses.  Since joining Bellicose he’s 2-6 and in desperate need of a win.  He has fought some killers so don’t hold his record against him as he’s proven he’s got the ability to end a fight in short order, just look at his victories over Shiba and Cap to see the KO capabilities he has.  He will be fighting another fighter very much in the same boat as him this week and undoubtedly he’ll be looking to gain another win and try to put his career back into focus.

Hisoka:

Kurosaki is a new addition to the Bellicose family making his way over from the LAFC scene.  Much like Paddy, he started strong with a 4-0-1 record before a couple of losses and a management change.  He’s now suffered four consecutive losses and will hope to turn the page as he steps foot into Bellicose to take on a new challenger.  While he gives up the MT advantage to Paddy, Hisoka is a better Boxer and Wrestler than Paddy and will need to use those skills to control the fight.  If he’s able to dictate the fight and where it takes place, Hisoka might be able to knock off Paddy and start his Bellicose chapter in a much improved light.

Ian Strong  VS  Hanan Pacha

Stronk:

Ian is a very capable fighter and has proven it in the cage time and again putting up a 7-2 record.  Officially, he’s 6-2 in Bellicose as his first fight was a QFC victory.  Having only lost by a submission back at Bellicose 112 and being TKO’d by the hard hitting Bill Smif, Strong is still moving forward with an impressive career to date.  His back to back wins over Duannis Frank have him sitting pretty and a win here tonight will help improve his standings a keep him on track to be a future contender.

Pacha:

Hanan’s record puts him as a middle of the pack fighter at 6-6, and I can’t disagree with that sentiment.  He’s been through a few different managers and has not been consistent under any of them, unless you say he’s been consistently average.  Spending most of his career in Enigma where he went 3-5, under new management he’s turned around to be 2-1 although one of those fights was a QFC event.  His last fight in LAFC was a win over Blanco, but he’ll be tested in his first Bellicose test.  He does give up a slight edge in boxing and sizable edge in BJJ, he also holds a slight edge in MT and Wrestling.  Whichever fighter comes out with the best gameplan to utilize their strengths in this one will walk away the victor.

Rick Richardson  VS  Agnieszka Ostrowski

Richardson:

“Slick” Rick is a great addition to the Bellicose family.  While he’s lost his last two fights, that snapped a 6 fight win treak that saw him use a variety of offensive skills to finish fighters.  He’s gotten KO’s and TKO’s as well as submission wins under his belt during that streak, and no doubt will be looking to snap this losing streak as he strides into the Bellicose cage sporting his chubby lover shirt and money hungry shorts.  An elite striker, sensational wrestler and black belt in BJJ, Ostrowski will have his work cut out for him in taking on Slick Rick.

Ostrowski:

Agnieszka walks into this one a bit of an underdog when you look at on paper skills.  He has no advantage in this fight though he matches Rick’s wrestling.  His record implies that he’s been able to win with his skill set and that tells me the manager has done a good job at working in gameplans for his fighter.  This guy has been around, and I’m not talking about fat chicks.  He’s fought at 8 different orgs in his time, and this will mark his 9th.  I guess we’ll see if a fighter has 9 lives also, and if so, hopefully he’ll make this last one count.

Joseph Mawma  VS  Albert Sojka

Mawma:

Mawma is one of our younger fighters on the roster who’s really stepped into the big show and tough challenges from day one.  After a brief 3-1 stint in Outlaw before being merged into Bellicose, and then an impressive 4 fight win streak after joining Bellicose showed high promise for this youngster.  He did lost his last time out against Jack Dye, and with that loss severed ties with his manager.  Now, under new management he begins a new journey through deep waters.  But this youngster has no problem swimming and will be looking to shock the world as he continues to thrive in Bellicose.

Sojka:

Albert is an 8-8 fighter who you just never know what you’re going to get. He’s capable of winning against strong opponents as he did with Carvalho and Hansen, but then he also goes through losing streaks where he just can’t catch his footing.  He recently snapped a 4 fight skid by TKOing Zac Davies.  Maybe he can build off of that against the young Mawma to improve his record.  But don’t count on Mawma making it easy for him.

Main Card

Davante Dunbar  VS  Ruud Altena

Dunbar:

Davante is an interesting prospect in the Bellicose ranks.  He’s a sensational boxer and a black belt in BJJ, but his clinch game is something he’s never used as a strength.  He’s been with Bellicose virtually his whole career and with his early success was able to garner a title shot at Rak Boonliang that he lost via TKO strikes back at Bellicose 89.  Since then, he’s 3-2 and looking to string together some wins, but he’s proven in the past that he’s capable of doing exactly that and he hopes to do that starting with his opponent here in Altena.

Altena:

Ruud is another promising young fighter with a very different skillset than Dunbar.  He’s 7-4 and rides his elite MT striking to victory more often than not.  He’s not the boxer that Dunbar is and his purple belt doesn’t come close to Dunbar’s black belt, but both are on the same level wrestling and that elite MT is the primary advantage that Altena has in this fight.  If he can use that MT to counter Dunbar’s boxing and maybe even clinch up and work the clinch, he’s got a hell of a chance in this fight.

Stuart Burrows  VS  Yakubu Okoroji

Burrows:

Stuart is a fighter I’ve not yet had the pleasure of watching as he’s spent his career in Enigma and LAFC.  But now, he makes his way to Bellicose and he’s riding a hot streak since leaving Enigma having won 5 strait, including all 4 of his LAFC bouts.  He will look to keep that streak intact as he makes his Bellicose debut against Okoroji.  A sensational striker and grappler with a black belt in BJJ will make him a tough opponent for anyone on the roster.

Okoroji:

Yakubu has been a long standing member of LAFC and why not, he’s 7-1 within that organization.  He has been hot of late also winning his last 3 and will look to be the one with his hands raised high after his bout with Burrows.  He also has a mirror image build as Burrows, though a brown belt instead of a black belt and has slightly better MT.  This should be a very interesting bout between these two rising stars.  But there can be only one, and one of these men will walk away with his streak intact while the other puts a chip on his shoulder to take out on his next opponent.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Ichioka Kaori         VS         Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Hiroshima Nagasaki

Ichioka Kaori  VS  Hiroshima Nagasaki

Kaori:

Another fighter that’s worked his way around the MMA world and gone through several big name managers, Kaori has shown his best work of late under new management.  He started his career strong going 4-1 under Optimal, but since has been 2-2, 0-1 under the next two before finally settling in with Klutch.  He’s 5-2 under Klutch with the five wins being consecutive and four of those being for the title.  He lost his belt in his last fight against Luciano, but as things turn out he is right back in the mix of competing for the Bellicose belt as LAFC is no more.  If he can get a win here against Nagasaki, he’ll be in line for contendership and a chance to earn another title shot here at Bellicose.

Nagasaki:

Hiroshima is another talented fighter coming from LAFC who has a chance to make a name for himself I this one.  If he can defeat the former champion, and mind you, only recently dethroned in his last bout, then Nagasaki has a chance to establish himself in Bellicose as a force to be reckoned with and a favorite to become a top contender.  On their feet, these two fighters are near identical, but Kaori will have an advantage on the ground should the fight end up there.  Nagasaki will most likely look to stand and bang it out and see who’s got the better chin and who’s got enough power to get to it as this one looks like a fight that will, one way or another, be finished before the time expires.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Jorge Santa Perez          VS          Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Origen Alexandria

Jorge Santa Perez  VS  Origen Alexandria

JSP:

JSP has had a journey that has been mostly out of his hands.  Starting in CDFC with a promising start and title there, with a perfect 6-0 record within the org before it was bought out by Bellicose.  Upon entering Bellicose, and the new level of competition here, JSP won his debut but stumbled to back-to-back losses after that.  Since adjusting to the competition, however, JSP is back to his winning ways where he’s popped off 3 in a row and has his eyes set on a 4th win.  He is favored to win this fight, but it’s not a gimmie and he will have to earn it.

Alexandria:

Origen has been a long time LAFC fighter and never looked back.  While being one of the younger fighters on the roster, he held his own against the older guys and reeled off a 7-4 record in doing so.  He would like to turn things around as he’s lost 2 of his last 3, but this will be his Bellicose debut and he’s got the chance to erase that and start anew.  A win over JSP will surely rock the Bellicose rankings as JSP has become well known in Bellicose, so a win over him would establish Origen as a fighter to watch moving forward.

Co-Main Event

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Timo Leyton          VS          Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Tommy Vercetti

Timo Leyton  VS  Tommy Vercetti

Leyton:

Timo is a bad dude.  He’s been around for a while and he’s older than most of the guys on the roster, but don’t think that means he’s not here to kick some ass.  He won his last 6 fights strait at LAFC and has no intention of slowing down as he turns the page into Bellicose.  Honestly, he’ll likely welcome the new competition and may take this chance to try to elevate his game.  He’s not much of a striker, in fact, he wants nothing to do with standing and banging.  He’s all in on grappling and it’s served him well.  An elite wrestler and a brown belt in BJJ is hard to deal with.  If you’re a striker, you want to do everything you can to avoid going to the ground with his guy.  Once he’s got you on the ground, you’re likely done.  Other grapplers will fair better, but he still has the experience on his side to give him the edge.  In this one, you’re going to want to try to get to his chin before it gets to the ground, and that’s all there is to it.

Vercetti:

Tommy is not backing away from this fight and he’s got enough ground skills to at least try to hold out and force this one back to it’s feet if it goes to the ground, but he’s an exceptional boxer and sensational MT striker who will no doubt want to keep this thing standing and try to put Timo down before he ever gets started.  On the ground, he’s a wonderful wrestler and holds a brown belt, but that just doesn’t stack up to what Timo can do on the ground so expect Vercetti to look for a power shot early on.

Main Event

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Iso Paa          VS          Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Duannis Frank

Iso Paa  VS  Duannis Frank

Paa:

Iso has been a freak of nature for his career.  A ground specialist who is just as capable on his feet.  An impressive 15-2 record sets him apart from the competition and the fact that he has done it against some great fighters leaves little doubt that this man means business.  He was the LAFC heavyweight champion when the merged into LAFC and will be the first man to be given the shot at the new unification belt at Bellicose, but first he’s gotta take care of business and put down Frank to get that shot.  Nobody in camp Paa has any doubts he will do exactly that.

Frank:

Duannis is a successful kickboxer who’s not had the same success in the MMA world.  Full of expectations and hype coming out of the KT world, but only managing a 3-5 record in MMA since.  The funny thing is that his skills are far superior on the ground than those of his striking, so one would think he’d be more successful in MMA.  But this has just not been the case to date, and maybe new management will find a new gameplan to turn this thing around for him.  Due to his KT record, he still have a solid fan following and if he could pull off a win here his hype would jump through the roof as his career will be re-established, but that’s a tall task to do against Iso Paa.

Bellicose II

13 NOV 2022

New York

Merch Partner: New Standard Nutrition

On the heels of Bellicose I where the new era has officially kicked off as we now roll on to Bellicose II.  With the loaded talent we have on this roster, it won’t take long for the fans to catch on and come flooding in to see their favorite fighters work their way to the top of a star studded roster.  On tap tonight we have a few of those up and coming stars on display who will be looking to make an impression on the new fan base and roster.

Preliminary:

Bob Bronte  VS  Paddy Murphy

Bronte:

Bob is a youngster on the roster and has already shown he’s not a joke as he sits at 4-0 and 3-0 under the Bellicose banner.  He’ll be facing a new challenge as he takes on a slightly older Paddy Murphy.  Murphy has had no problem with the opponents in front of him to date, but Paddy is much better than anyone he’s fought yet.  As long as he doesn’t sleep on his opponent and focuses on the fight and gameplan at hand, he should be able to dispatch Murphy with ease.  His skills have not been tested, but they are indeed impressive.  Bob should have a chance to flash those skills against Paddy and look ahead to tougher competition.

Murphy:

Paddy is actually not in a great place coming into this fight.  His morale is down which will give Bronte an advantage he doesn’t need.  Already being the lesser skilled fighter int his fight, the lack of morale will certainly seal Paddy’s fate in this one.

Orestes Prometheus  VS  Frankee Guh Noo

Prometheus:

Orestes is a fighter who still is struggling to put together things to be consistent.  He’s good, he’s proven that with a flurry of KO victories.  But just when his confidence hit’s the ceiling, he get’s hit with a three fight losing streak.  Fortunately, he was able to turn it around last outing with a beautiful spinning backfist KO over Bigalow, and now has another shot at Guh Noo who he’s already TKO’d earlier in his career.  Knowing he’s already defeated Guh Noo in the past has to be a plus as long as he doesn’t overlook him.  And a win here, and two in a row, will certainly put Prometheus back on track to start working his way up the division, perhaps even avenging some of those losses.

Guh Noo:

Frankee lost his last outing but had won three in a row prior to that, finally looking like he was turning around his career.  After a sloppy start of 2-5, he found himself 4-1 until that last loss against Van Thuringen.  He will have an uphill battle as Prometheus is a very good fighter and when he’s on his game, he can knock out anyone.  Frankee may want to use his boxing to try to fight at range,  but perhaps his BJJ would be a more reliable tool if he can get the fight on the ground.  Frankee has ways to win, so this should be an interesting fight and could be a turning point for each of these fighters careers with a win.

Libor Lunak  VS  Dan Kolov

Lunak:

Libor has been up and down with a 5-5 record since joining Bellicose and coming off of a doctor stoppage loss in his last fight, he really needs a win to keep things going in the right direction.  He’s a MT striker with solid MT and Wrestling skills, but his BJJ leaves something to be desired with only a blue belt.  Suring up that wrestling would go a long way in his ground defense efforts, but his ground skills aren’t what he needs to worry about in this one.

Kolov:

Dan comes into this fight hot with a 4-1 record and a TKO loss only to Average Tycoon Player, who coincidentally is the last fighter to defeat Lunak as well.  He’s an elite boxer with exceptional wreslting and those skills are what he’s relied on to his 4-1 mark.  All 4 of his wins have been via visits and even the loss to Player ended in a TKO.  He won’t be looking to let this fight go the distance with his striking advantage, Lunak would be wise to protect his chin.

Galileo Galilei  VS  Average Tycoon Player

Galilei:

Galileo was one of the hottest fighters on the market starting his career off 10-1 before losing a title shot to Penrose and then losing his last fight to Dustfinger.  With 9 stoppages under his belt, he’ll be looking to turn things around against Player who’s been able to test a few chins himself.  A balanced skill set with no particular strengths, Galilei has used his striking to end his opponents wile relying on his wrestling to help control the fight when it gets clinched up or on the ground.

Player:

Average T. has had a remarkable turn around to his career.  Since starting 0-3 with a decision, KO and submission loss, his future was bleak before turning things around with a nasty KO victory over Leandro back at Bellicose 99.  That started a 5 fight win streak that has all been via early stoppage as he’s put the power in his fists and started breaking jaws and went from an 0-3 “can” to a 5-3 divisional threat.  His fists have carried him up the rankings and he will look to rely on his MT and power to continue that streak as he squares off against Galilei.

Main Card:

Bantam Rooster  VS  Mad Hatter

Rooster:

Bantam has only lost his initial test fight and since has reeled of 6 strait wins with a deadly combination of KO’s and submission victories.  His boxing and punching is enough of a threat to end a fight, but when he’s on the ground he turns into a viper as he uses his grappling skills to out position opponents and find submissions.  He will this time be facing a fellow KO artist in Mad Hatter which leads me to think he might look for that ground advantage to expose the striker and steal a win.

Hatter:

Mad has been, well, mad.  He has been a KO specialist who even worked his way to a title fight where he lost to Sasaki at Bellicose 106, but since has lost 3 of his last 4 and needs to turn things around.  He’s got the power to get to Rooster’s chin, but his ground game may not be where it needs to be to fend off Rooster’s attacks.  If his takedown defense can keep this fight standing, he may be able to pick and choose his spots to attack and find a way to get to Rooster’s chin.  Either way, this fight will be exciting and likely to not make it to the final bell.

Natalia Pisswater  VS  Bethania Valverde

Pisswater:

Natalia has been spectacular since joining Bellicose.  Going 5-1 since joining Bellicose with her only loss coming in her title shot against Sasaki, Natalia will look to continue her dominance over the division by turning her attention to the other female on the roster in Valverde.  These two last squared off  at HFC 116 where Pisswater scored the submission win, but that was a long time ago.

Valverde:

Bethania has recently done very well also going 4-1 in her last 5 fights.  She lost via a Harnick submission back at Bellicose 124, but has won two in a row since with an impressive TKO victory over the once great Pate Hunt.  Valverde will have a shot to avenge that former loss and establish herself as the baddest bitch in the biz with a win over Pisswater, but she’ll have to overcome the earlier defeat and the momentum of Pisswater to do so.

Miyata San  VS  Bartholomew Slice

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Miyata San

San:

Miyata has been very impressive to date.  Despite being a younger fighter in the org, he’s held his own going 4-1 since joining the Bellicose ranks and 9-2 overall.  When looking at his skills on paper, he looks like a wrestler with a little power in his fists.  But he prefers to stand and bang and put power behind his strikes which has lead to 8 (T)KO victories.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Bartholomew Slice

Slice:

Bartholomew is off to a great recovery since joining Bellicose.  He started off 0-2 before turning things around and winning 4 in a row.  He’s mixed things up with TKO’s, submission, and decision victories over that time which  may be exactly what he needs to do to keep this winning streak up.  He’s got solid striker skills and can stand with most fighters and look for his shot, but his wrestling and BJJ have fallen behind.  As San is a striker, this will be good for Slice, but also will be a test to his chin as San likes to put people down too.  Another fight with high expectations as two strikers will slug it out to see who can put who to sleep first!

Balthasar Van Thuringen  VS  Nuufo Seanoa

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Balthasar Van Thüringen

Van Thuringen:

Balthasar is another long tenured Bellicose fighter who goes back to the NYCL days.  With an 8-4 record and most of those coming from KO/TKO, Thuringen has proven over and over again that he’s truly fitting of calling Bellicose his home as he clearly believes in the Home of Ruthless Aggression.  Aggression may not be enough to help him in this one though as he takes on the former champ who’s one of the angriest people I’ve ever met.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Nuufo Seanoa

Seanoa:

Nuufo was a guy who turned to the dark side and let anger fuel his turn around in MMA.  He started 0-2 but his first test against Douglas ended in a KO loss and man, that pissed Nuufo off.  Since then, he came back with a vengeance winning 6 in a row leading up to and including a rematch against Douglas who just happened to be the champion at the time.  He didn’t hold the belt for long as he lost it in his first defense, but he got his revenge and the anger seemed to subside.  Maybe that’s why he lost two in a row, but he turned it around with a submission win last outing over Eugen Heydrich and maybe he can tap into that inner fire in this one for his battle with Van Thuringen.

Co-Main Event:

Henry Dustfinger  VS  Murfum Orcarm

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Henry Dustfinger

Dustfinger:

Henry has been an absolute monster, machine, menace in his early career.  Off to an outstanding 10-0 start, winning the HW tournament and just mowing down every fighter to step in front of him, this young 380k fighter is elite.  The crazy part is how far he still has to go.  His record and in cage prowess do not reflect his skills as he’s been taking on people with higher skill ratings and not even flinching.  The man will only get better, and he faces a tough test today against Orcarm.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Murfum Orcarm

Orcarm:

Murfum is a little older than Henry, but he’s got the same amount of fights and has a different skill set than Dustfinger.  This will be the most dangerous fight Dustfinger has taken in a while as Orcarm is an assassin on the ground.  But he’s also lost 3 via submission on the ground so leaves himself open a lot as well.  Murfum may have the advantage on the ground, but he’ll need to get it there first and other grapplers have tried and been unable to finish Dustfinger on the ground, can this one prove to be different?  Guess we’ll have our answer soon as we tune into this great fight to set up our main event.

Main Event:

Prokop Pustik  VS  John Boy Walton

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Prokop Pustik

Pustik:

Prokop brings his fan following to the main event where he’ll be putting his skills to the test against John boy Walton.  Pustik has fought every fight of his career in the Bellicose ranks and will be making his 15th Bellicose fight appearance in this one.  He started fast and even held the title for a few fights before losing it to Orlov.  A few months later was given another shot against Reeves but was unable to capitalize.  Since then, he’s 1-3 in his last 4 and though he’s lost to some of the best, he need to turn things around quickly here against Walton to put his career back on the right path.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - John Boy Walton

Walton:

Goodnight, John Boy!  The reality is, this may be John Boy saying goodnight to Pustik instead of to Elizabeth.  With an impressive 10-3 record and a new name to change the stigma, Walton and his new manager have gotten together and put a plan in place to take the next step in Walton’s career.  He lost their debut fight against Sampson at Bellicose 143, but Pustik is a new challenge and this is a new Bellicose.  This is a main event and Walton will look to get back to his thrashing of opponents in the SHW division and see if he can’t find his way back to a title shot to reclaim that belt he used to call his own.

BELLICOSE  IV

1667684843Bellicose%20IV.gif

19 NOV 2022

New York

Cage

10 point must

Sponsored by Hellbent

BELLICOSE IV brings another action-packed card that is headlined by one of the main event main stays in BELLICOSE as “The Great White North” blows into town with all of Canada behind him.  Not far to travel across the border to get to New York, many of them are sure to follow in show of support.

Other great fights fill out this card so let’s jump into the action and look at these match ups.

Preliminaries

Ola Badmus  VS  Tim Udrich

Badmus:

Ola is 3-0 in his career, but that’s all at GDL.  He’s now at Bellicose and these fighters are a different breed.  Will he rise to the occasion and start this chapter off strong, or will he be tested by his opponent who’s in a similar situation?  Badmus can use his boxing advantage to keep range and land shots, either for points or looking for the KO and do some damage.  Even better if he had some hidden offensive skills on the ground where he could take advantage of his BJJ edge.  But he’s got avenues to win, but so does his opponent.

Udrich:

Tim comes into a similar situation where he’s spent his career at LAFC and will be making his Bellicose debut against Badmus.  While he’s not 3-0 as the young gun, Ola, he does have something to prove coming off a loss in his LAFC exit and needing a win to make a presence here in Bellicose.  While he’s giving up the boxing edge and his BJJ is far behind Ola’s, Tim has an advantage in both his MT and his wrestling, which could (and should) give him an advantage in the clinch.  Perhaps he’ll capitalize on this and keep the fight in the clinch to help control the action and possibly get the upset win.

Sean Dash  VS  Ted Bremner

Dash:

Sean had a promising start to his career, even capturing the 135 title twice, yet failing to defend it both times.  His last five fights have not gone very well as he’s amassed a 1-3 (1 NC).  For a 31-year-old fighter, his skills are clearly in decline and at this point he’s either fighting for pride or fighting for a paycheck.  Either way, anyone who always steps up will always be given a home, and who knows, maybe Dash can turn things around for another surprising run.

Bremner:

Ted hasn’t had the best of starts to his career, but what success he had is in a distant past in his mind.  He’s lost his last 3 fights, and 3 of his last 4.  He lost his Bellicose debut, and this fight won’t be any easier as he has the skills to beat Dash, but Dash has the experience.  But, if he has a good gameplan and can capitalize on his striking advantage, or even the clinch, he should be able to handily handle the veteran opponent.

John Brown  VS  Kazuya Mishima

Brown:

John is a 14-fight veteran who’s as average as they get.  At 7-7, his record leaves a lot to be desired, but 7 wins in any MMA promotion is not a gimmie.  He started off 7-2 but has lost his last 5 strait and all via KO.  His chin has been tested, repeatedly, and there’s no reason to think anyone will not try to do the same thing as it’s proven to be a weakness.

Mishima:

Kazuya is no boxer, but he’s a great MT striker who can stand and bang with Brown and look to exploit that chin.  Problem is, he’s got to keep this thing on the feet to make that happen.  Brown will surely be looking to get to the ground to neutralize his weak chin.  But if this fight goes to the ground, perhaps he can surprise people again just like he did last week when he submitted Shiba.

Kotaro Asakura  VS  Adlartok Chizutere

Asakura:

Kotaro has a very slight MT advantage but gives up the edge significantly everywhere else.  This will be an uphill battle for him, and with the 10% morale loss it may just be too much to overcome.  But he’s 8-4 for a reason and he may be able to find success in what he’s been doing.  Under new management, however, there’s likely to be a new gameplan installed and I look forward to seeing how his career unfolds under new management.

Chizutere:

Adlartok has found some nice success under new management going 4-1 in his time here.  He’s done so in various fashion showing off some KO power while also displaying the ability to score points and win over the judges.  He’s a talented fighter with sensational boxing wonderful MT and wrestling, and even holds a brown belt in BJJ.  Truly able to compete at all phases of the fight, he should be able to put himself in a position to win this fight with a good gameplan.  And in his recent fight history, he’s been able to do exactly that.

Main Card

Arthur Douglas  VS  Reinhard Tristan Eugene Heydrich

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Arthur Douglas

Douglas:

Former Bellicose champion, the man who dethroned then king John Boy Walton, with a nasty first round KO.  He’s a hard hitting striker who uses his boxing to inflict damage while controlling fights with his  wrestling to avoid getting taken down or position himself in the clinch.  With 7 KO’s under his belt, he’ll be looking for number 8 against Heydrich.

18b6.jpg

Heydrich:

Reinhard is a capable fighter, and he matches up very well against Douglas, but Douglas is a different kind of beast.  This fight is intriguing because Douglas lost his belt to Seanoa, and Heydrich also lost to Seanoa in his last outing.  With how close these two are in skills, and both coming up short against Seanoa (not to mention that Seanoa finished Heydrich via submission, leaving questions about his brown belt) this may be the closest match we have on the card tonight.

Tommy Harnick  VS  Hasbulla Magomedov

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Tommy Harinck

Harnick:

Tommy came up short in his title bid against Sasaki, but he’s still with the promotion and stood tall against all other challenges Bellicose has thrown his way.  Coming off a huge bounce back win against the Mad Hatter, Harnick is ready to get back in the cage and continue his dominance.  With his striking advantage, and track record at defending the ground, he’s got every right to be optimistic.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Hasbulla Magomedov

Magomedov:

Hasbulla doesn’t stand a chance on his feet against Tommy.  He’ll need to get this fight on the ground as soon as possible to give himself a chance.  While Tommy is a good defensive grappler, Hasbulla has another level of ground skills with his sensational wrestling and brown belt BJJ.  He relied on his power early in his career, but his BJJ game has taken a turn and he’s put it on display in his last two fights.

Alexander Korolev  VS  Hao Sawamura

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Alexander Korolev

Korolev:

Alexander is another fighter who’s under new management and has turned things around with the new team.  2-0 since the switch, Alexander has started using his power to finish fights and how he didn’t win KO of the Night in has last fight is beyond me.  A sensational boxer with wonderful MT skills, and some lead in his hands, Korolev is coming into this fight with a mission… break his opponent’s jaw.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Hao Sawamura

Sawamura:

Hao has been on a bit of roller caster of managers of late, now on his third manager.  He was 2-1 under former management, but but he’s got some new clothes, an new manager, and a new attitude and is looking to impress in his new chapter of this new Bellicose.  That’s  a lot of new, and Sawamura is all about the new.

Samuel Sycek  VS  Buster Glover

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Samuel Sycek

Sycek:

Samuel is a better grappler than Glover, but he’s not going to want to stand and bang with the angry Buster Glover.  He is a little shorter and stockier than Buster, which will help him on the ground, but also give Buster the ability to dance around and stay at range and wait for his shots.  With a 3 fight win streak, it looks like Sycek has figured some things out and has a game plan.  But that game plan isn’t the ground game, so he will be making a statement if he can win this fight on his feet against Glover.

16167135479132.gif

Glover:

Buster is an outstanding striker who’s been publically vocal about his displeasure at the decision loss to Macka Briggs, who now finds himself about to step into his first ever title shot.  Buster bounced back with a vicious TKO victory over Cam Cartwright and will be looking to finish off Sycek in short order.  The longer he lets this fight go, the more chances he will have to leave the fight in the judges hands, and this he’s promised not to let happen again.

Co-Main Event

Alexander Kuznetsov  VS  Raja Khanna

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Alexander Kuznetsov

Kuznetsov:

Alexander will find himself in a very familiar situation as he faces what seems like his sparring partner at this point, Raja Khanna.  These two have faced each other twice in their last three fights, and with Raja winning the first, the draw in the last fight didn’t sit well with fans, or the brass, and we’ll see the third round as Alexander will get the chance to prove that that split decision loss to Raja was a fluke.  Either way, these two guys have seen a lot of each other, and they are very, very evenly matched.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Raja Khanna

Khanna:

Raja is not to happy having to face off against Kuznetsov again.  He won the first fight, and that’s that.  The fact that it was a split decision has no impact, he won, and he had his belt.  After losing his belt to Kai, he was given the rematch that many wanted to see against Kuznetsov, and that fight led to another ridiculously close fight that ended in a draw.  He will look to end this series once and for all and prove that he’s the superior fighter.  But the record, and fight history speaks for itself.  These two are so evenly matched that they could fight 100 times and very likely be 45-45 with 10 draws.  If Kuznetsov wins decisively, perhaps he gets the nod.  But if this is another close fight, even with a win for Kuznetsov, the question will still remain on who is the best with a 1-1-1 record between them.  So rather it’s Raja or Alexander, this fight needs to be ended in dominating fashion to settle this feud.

Main Event

Title Fight

Tim Horton  VS  Macka Briggs

And here we are!  The Middleweight (185) championship will be on the line and up for grabs tonight as we establish the unified Bellicose champion of the division.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Tim Horton

Horton:

Tim has been here before… a lot… like, a lot!  He’s been in title fights between the 170 and 185 divisions in 6 of his last 7 fights.  And now, here he is again.  The reigning Bellicose champion before the merge, he will step into the cage to defend what he considers rightfully his.  (As does all of Canada)  He’s won against some very tough opponents, and will no doubt exude confidence in his prowess for this fight.  But he can’t overlook Briggs ability to land that big shot that can end any fighter in MMA.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Macka Briggs

Briggs:

Macka gives up a slight striking advantage, but he’s displayed the ability to pack some heat behind those punches as 8 of his 9 wins have come via (T)KO.  In fact, only Buster Glover has went the distance with him where Briggs was able to get the decision victory.  Relying on his boxing, Macka loves to get that big punch in that puts a fighter on the wire.  He’s aggressive and dangerous, but that’s also where he can leave himself exposed.  The longer fights go on, he tends to fall behind on the score cards.  But if he can perform like he did last fight against Glover, he may be able to take Horton the distance.  But this time, that distance is 5 rounds, which will be another test for Briggs.

20 NOV 2022

New York

Cage

10 point must

Sponsored by Hellbent

While no champions will be crowned in this event, we still have a lot of exciting fights on tap for this Sunday night card in New York.  The event will be headlined by Tadageru and Cervenka, but there are a few FotN candidates on this card.

Preliminary Fights:

Wilbur Ratt  VS  Sultanbek Akhtankhanov

Ratt:

Wilbur is 4-4 in his career, and all but one of those wins was under the Bellicose brand.  He started hot with a 4-1 start, but has lost his last 3 in a row and is in definite need of a win to turn things around.  In this losing streak, he’s been KO’d twice and lost a decision the other.  He’s got the skills to compete, but there’s something not right coming out of his camp and hopefully it’s been solved and we’ll see a change in this one.

Akhtankhanov:

Sultanbek is, first of all, a very long and unusual name.  But, I got it out.. I’ll try to avoid having to type that name out now.  Sultan is coming off a win over Chest Mangold and will be making his Bellicose debut here against Ratt.  He’s got a similar history to Ratt in that he started 4-1 and has since not been quite as effective, but still has been putting together a solid career.   One thing we’ve not seen happen for Sultan, is we’ve never seen anyone get to his chin.  He’s been submitted once, lost 2 very close decisions, and 2 other decisions.

We’ll see this fight take place on the feet as neither guy likes to grapple.  Sultan will more than likely try to fight to a decision and avoid any big shots that Ratt may take.  But Ratt is capable of fighting the same style of fight.  I expect this fight will be left to the judges as neither guy will be aggressive enough or trying to inflict any significant damage and just love tap it down to the judges to see who wins, while hugging after it’s over.

Chest Mangold  VS  Clin Cartwright

Mangold:

Chest is on a three-fight skid and having lost 4 of his last 5 cannot afford to keep losing.  It doesn’t get any better when your manager goes missing going on 3 weeks building up to your fight.  He’s going to be fighting an uphill battle before even considering the opponent.  In a way, he’s lucky that he’s fighting another fighter who’s been struggling.  But that also makes your opponent dangerous as he’s wanting to turn it around just as badly.  Mangold will need to capitalize on his superior striking to pull out the win here.  He does not want to let this fight go to the ground.

Cartwright:

Clin comes into this fight hungry for a win to follow up his win over Finkelman and get his first back-to-back wins after his 4-0 start.  After a nasty streak of losing 4 of five, he hopes that last fight’s win over Finkelman was a turn in the right direction.  If he can capitalize on Mangolds loss of management and behind the scenes issues going on at his camp.  Cartwright will have all the momentum in the world if he gets this second win, and he sure as hell can use that extra momentum.

Jefferson Christ  VS  Jackson Davis

Christ:

Jefferson has had an up and down career at LAFC, unable to string together more than 2 wins at any point in his career.  Coming off a win over Chapman, he’s looking to make it two in a row as he takes on Davis.  This will be his Bellicose debut and a win would not only give him two in a row, but also jump start him in the Bellicose brand.

Davis:

Jackson is younger than Christ, but he’s a gym rat and his skills have surpassed that of the elder fighter.  Davis hasn’t had as much success in the cage yet, but a win over the veteran will go a long way to catching him up.  He’s got the advantage practically everywhere you can take this fight, so it will be game planning and desire to win that will determine if he will claim this win or let it slip through his fingers.

Brendon Carrillo-Moreno  VS  Squeeler Gillroyy

Carrillo-Moreno:

Brendon is a solid grappler who’s been on a bit of a bad roll of late.  While starting off 7-0, he’s now finding himself on a 3 fight losing streak that has his coaches scratching their heads.  Maybe it’s the new manager as he is only 1-3 under current management, or maybe he’s just not taking well to the changes.  He needs to pull his head out of his ass and get back to his winning ways which means getting the fight on the ground and using his BJJ skills to secure victory.

Gillroyy:

Squeeler hasn’t had enough experience to really put together a resume yet.  Hell, he refuses to let his picture get taken so we don’t even have an accurate image to share of him.  Maybe he’s just that ugly… who knows?  He displayed some power in his lone win over Jackson Davis, but lost last time out against Chizutere via TKO.  He’s at best on the ground and is a brown belt, but he gives up an advantage in the wrestling game to Brendon.  This will be a tough fight to win, but when it comes to BJJ, you just never know what will happen.

Osmany Pizziconi  VS  Vlad Tepes

Pizziconi:

Osmany reminds me of an Amish dude who comes from hell.  I dunno, just something about his avatar that is creepy.  But I like creepy, so I may be secretly pulling for him.  Maybe…  He needs all the help he can get after dropping 3 of his last 4 and his last one was the first time he’s ever been KO’d in his career.  Hoping this is not the start of a decline in his ability to fight, it’s likely just that point where he has to start focusing his game plan and training to start changing things up.  He’s shown early on he’s very capable of winning, he just needs to get his groove back.

Tepes:

Vlad doesn’t give a fuck about Osmany’s groove.  He just lost to Tommy Vercetti and he’s pissed off about it.  Being KO’d in the first round will leave a sour taste in anyone’s mouth, but when you’re not used to losing that just pisses you off.  Tepes won’t be in fear of getting KO’d in this fight though.  His opponent is strongest with his BJJ and will be looking to avoid trading blows with Vlad.  On the feet, Vlad has a sizeable advantage in striking and should be able to expose Osmany to land some big shots.  As long as he’s mindful of the takedowns.  If this goes to the ground, Vlad still is a brown belt and a sensational wrestler and will make it difficult for Osmany to do anything, but he will have the edge standing and that’s where I think he’ll look to keep this fight.

Main Card:

James Diamond  VS  Darryl Haze

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - James Diamond

Diamond:

James has been around for a while now but still hasn’t been able to really get his career to show anything above an above average fighter.  His boxing is sensational and he’s a brown belt, but he’s never been able to catch up to some of the other guys overall and it’s catching up to him in the cage.  He’s spent his career in LAFC and maybe a fresh start with Bellicose will help him shake the hex of inconsistencies that have plagued him to this point.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Darryl Haze

Haze:

Darryl is an even more veteran fighter who will be making his 20th appearance in this one.  Very well rounded as he’s a remarkable striker and exceptional wrestler with a brown belt.  He’s scored 6 submission wins to date so he knows how to use those ground skills, but don’t sleep on his striking as it’s continually getting better.  With the boxing gap between him and Diamond, he’ll likely want to work the ground game to try to secure a victory here.  His experience will help him accomplish that as long as he doesn’t make any mistakes allowing Diamond a chance to finish it.

Nils Hoglander  VS  Klaus Von Alkum

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Nils Hoglander

Hoglander:

Nils dominated his time at GLD, but has been back and forth, literally win/loss/win/loss over his entire LAFC career.  He comes into this fight to make his Bellicose debut and shake that stigma and get back to the fighter he looked at GDL.  He will be fighting an uphill battler, however, as his opponent is highly trained and will want nothing more than to crash his career before it even gets started.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Klaus Von Alkum

Alkum:

Klaus is pretty well matched up with Nils, but a bit better MT when it comes to stand up.  But wrestling is where he shines and where he has the most significant advantage over Hoglander.  He should be able to use his advantage in MT and wrestling to develop a clinch attack that will overwhelm his opponent.  As long as he doesn’t overlook Hoglander, Alkum should be confident that he can win this one.

Co-Main Event:

Amri Mbeki  VS  Karel Sup

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Amri Mbeki

Mbeki:

Amri steps into the cage on a two fight win streak and looking to make it a hat trick as he takes on Karel Sup.  Having not fought in nearly two months, Mbeki has been hungry to get back into the cage and he will be out for blood.  He’s a good striker who loves to bring the heat and overwhelm managers with flurries of strikes.  He’s got the power to end it quickly and when you’re 290lbs power is magnified to another level.  If he lands a few clean strikes, it could be game over.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Karel Sup

Sup:

Karel has had a rough go of late and this fight isn’t looking to be any better.  While his ground skills give him an advantage and avenue to victory over Mbeki, his striking isn’t quite where it needs to be to stay alive before it gets to the ground.  And when you look at his 8 losses all being via (T)KO, his chin makes glass look durable.  If he doesn’t get this fight to the ground with a quickness, he will be asleep before the end of the first round.

Main Event:

Nakachi Tadageru  VS  Marek Cervenka

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Nakachi Tadageru

Tadageru:

Nakachi is a great young fighter who’s just avenged his only loss and already been offered a title shot in the past but declined as to not chance locking his fighter into that title role while he’s still training.  His record and success in the cage makes you forget that this guy is still developing, he’s just shown so much promise and ability in the cage that it’s hard to not look at him as a contender already.  He’ll be taking on the older and more experienced Cervenka, but he knows he has the skills to handle business and intends to do just that.

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Marek Cervenka

Cervenka:

Marek had finally looked to be turning things around and got a shot at the belt, but fell short to champion Gracie who was able to use his superior grappling skills to easily dispatch Cervenka.  Tadageru is no Gracie, but he’s a damned good and dangerous grapple rand Cervenka didn’t show the ability to defend against Gracie whish has to make his focus on avoiding the ground game in this one too.  Assuming he focus trained his grappling skills he should be improved from before, but that’s still a hell of a risk to take so no doubt Marek will keep this one standing at all costs and try to get to Tadageru’s chin before he gets taken down.

Sawamura’s blood had not yet dried on the cage floor when I was offered Timmy Horton on Christmas Day. Imagine my glee when I learned you had also accepted.

Your fate is sealed, Timmy. Spend time with your loved ones if you have any.

I’ll be waiting.

Dakota Thibodeaux Jr: @Galahad, since your boy Kai won’t talk to me..what say you ? I know you guys are shitting yourselves with Charles next, but while the dialogue, much like the diarrhea is flowing; are you sending Kai in the cage next with me or not ? I keep reaching out and hearing silence…I don’t want to hear you all flapping yo’ gums after you continued to duck me. Last time I honor your duck ass with a callout; it’ll be degrading, denial, and dismissal from here on. Hit my line..let’s get something set…maybe even make it new year celebration! We don’t need to bring this smoke into 2023…let put this fire out! 🥊🥊

145 Title Fight Spotlight

Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Matija Maestro          VS          Mixed Martial Arts Fighter - Eddie Wilson

Matija Maestro                         Eddie Wilson

Maestro carries over as the reigning champion from LAFC before the merge into Bellicose.  With that, he was first up to participate in the unified championship fight.  Unfortunately, the reigning Bellicose champion, Gracie, decided not to continue on with the organization as he holds out for unrestricted.  That left a void for the first contender at 145.  This leaves the 145 title window completely open for the entire division as nobody has earned anything yet here in Bellicose.  This allows fighters to get chances before they may have otherwise been able to earn them, and such is the case tonight with the challenger, if you will, Eddie Wilson.    Wilson turned around a 3 fight skid with back to back wins which made him one of the few opponents open to fight with a winning streak that allowed him to earn this shot which may have never otherwise happened.  He will need to capitalize on this because there’s a mounting list of hungry warriors lining up for their shot at glory, and they all view Wilson as a placebo.  But, crazier things have happened… Wilson could shock the world with a devastating upset, all it takes is just one shot…

zfMKbVH.jpg

Maestro will also be making his debut at Bellicose with this fight, and with his reign of terror over the 145 division at GFC and LAFC and even last year’s League of Madness, Maestro has nothing left to earn.  He’s earned it, over and over again.  We could have put him against a 25 year old start up creation with default sliders and I still would have been happy to sign the fight.  Just to crown the champion who has never lost a fight and until proven otherwise, is the undisputed Bellicose featherweight champion.  Now, he's not had a fight in a while due to how things went down over at LAFC in the end, but that changes tonight.  Will the rust show through giving Wilson a slight glimpse of hope?  Or will Maestro come out looking the well oiled and finely tuned machine that he’s been over the course of his career?  My money?  My money is on the latter… you’ll have to prove to me otherwise because nothing in that mans history shows me any reason to doubt him in this fight.

I'll get back to being active and posting content on these forums when you guys want to participate as well.  Just too time consuming to do these write ups if nobody is reading them anyway.  I will still do little single fight posts for marquee fights, but that's about it for now guys.

If anyone wants a job as a writer, I'll pay well for your services. (and a graphics designer for posters and/or other projects) Otherwise, for now, the previews will be on hold.

Adam East: "I've never been much of a grappling man. I've worked on it quite a bit lately just trying to improve my overall game. I have an upcoming fight with Davante Dunbar and from what I've seen in his past fights, the guy is no joke when it comes to grappling. If he chooses to try and bang with me, I think we all know that he's going to be in for a long night. I'll try my best if I end up on my back to keep the fight alive. Glad to continue the legacy here with my camp."

I have finally managed to get the rankings sorted.  There has been a lot of movement and with the merger going on I decided to just hold off for a while and let a few events play out.  Now that we have had that, I am going to start keeping up with the rankings again.  The 155 division will be a little different since we will have a mini tournament to crown the next champion, but with the limited interest in participating in that tournament, probably will just go with a top 4 fighter showdown for the belt.

Anyways, here goes your current rankings.

Camp Yellow Lotus in Bellicose:

Agnieszka Ostrowski has been fooling people that she is a man in order to fight men for a long time now. A Champion at AFC, Ostrowski is a globetrotter in every sense of the word, having fought at 7 different orgs.

16121355418111.jpeg

Mad Hatter has the most powerful fists in the Batamweight division. With 8 knockouts, Hatter at one time challenged for the Bellicose belt. Despite a losing streak, every moment in the ring with Hatter is a moment spent in danger.

16090243181534.jpg

The Average Tycoon Player is honestly a piece of shit. His dorito crumb covered fedora is his prized possession, and a close second is his piss bottles. Refuses to move from his mom’s basement, which is a real cockblock for Linda. Thinks smoking weed is cool, which it is, but not the way he uses it. Player recently went on a 5 fight win streak in Bellicose, so maybe this sad sack of shit will make something of himself some day.

Billy Conforto was a gay man who was a friend of Theo Von’s who was a busboy with him. Looked like Don Flamenco. Took a bunch of pills and drove into an embankment. RIP. Another Bellicose prospect, Conforto holds a respectable 8-3 record.

A poem:

I don’t want a lot for Christmas,

There is just one thing I need.

Timmy’s broken, mangled body

Underneath the Christmas tree.

I’ll take your title for my own,

After crushing all of your bones.

My wish is coming true,

Timmy, all you’ll get for Christmas…

…is your DOOM.
