HAWAIIAN SPORTS:

Shane Victorino: Hi everyone "The flyin Hawaiian" has returned to Hawaii to become a sports reporter. I'm doing my first segment on young kid still in high school who has been getting tons of attention here in Hawaii and starting to get a little National exposure in the US in general. If you are reading this you probably already have guessed it's with no other than Hank "The Beast" McCoy.

Hank McCoy: Woah woah wow! I'm doing my interview with you of all people? Forgive me for being a bit star struck here Mr. Victorino, but you have to be probably the most famous Hawaiian in sports ever. I'm a huge fan. You got to let me see one of those 2 World Series rings namely that 2013 one that you got when the Redsox broke the curse of the Bambino.

Shane Victorino: Sure thing kid, but first let's talk a bit about your upcoming fight Doug Funny. I know you had already did a joint interview with your friend James Howlett for this fight and that you typically only do one interview leading up to your fight so thank you for this. Would you say there is extra pressure for you to perform in this one being it's the first time in your career that you have faced a guy ranked lower than you?

Hank McCoy: First I'd like to say not a problem. I mean how are you going to say no to the flyin hawaiian himself? Next I would certainly say there is extra pressure. But all my fights have a lot of pressure when you are a young kid competing against some of the best adults in the world you are always going to feel pressure to show that you belong. Which he is already the most dangerous opponent I have ever faced and yet he is still ranked lower than me. He's a guy who once fought for a chance at the belt and still ranked lower than me. And this is a guy I am going to be going into a locked cage against as the favorite in this fight against a guy that good knowing he is going to be looking to silence everyone with his performance against me. And I have to go in there and perform against that.

Shane Victorino: Wow that definitely sounds like a lot of pressure and I thought there was pressure in an Allstar game or a World Series but you are really putting yourself on the line there against some pretty intense pressure. What is your game plan going into this?

Hank McCoy: Hey I'm not having anywhere near as many eyes on me doing this as you did and that's just in the stands not to mention the television viewers in those games. I'd say you know a lot about pressure too. As far as my game plan goes well he is a very one dimensional fighter. And he knows it. He knows he does that dimension well and has confidence in it. He's a specialist. But I know he is going to want to take me down and try and work for a submission, he knows that's his game plan, and he knows that I know it. I'm also probably the greatest wrestler he has faced and he knows going into this that I have a 100% takedown defense rating and yet he is still confident he can get the takedown and finish me. Maybe because he thinks it will takeaway one of my weapons and that's kicks because they set up my hands and knock outs a lot. It's easier to take someone down throwing kicks so you see a lot of guy stop doing that against grapplers or wrestlers out of fear of being taken down. But I'm confident enough in my balance and my wrestling to still go out there and throw some kicks. Besides a few nice leg kicks will slow him down making him easier to hit and also take away some of the power in his takedown attempts.

Shane Victorino: So your gameplan is to be mindful of his takedown attempts and keep it standing. How do you plan to accomplish this?

Hank McCoy: Well as stated one of the things is by showing him that I'm not going to be scared to use my kicks. Another thing is we are going to keep this fight at a distance and make him take me down from a distance. Sure that means his takedowns have more force but that also means I have more time to react. If he tries to push me up against the cage and clinch I'm going parry him or use my strength to overpower him and break the clinch. Going to avoid the clinch in this fight because it gives him more options, there hand fighting, single and double leg takedowns, trips, and pulling guard that he can employ from the clinch. While we are both bjj purple belts I do believe he has the ability to submit me and that is his only chance of winning. So we are going to limit his chances of taking the fight to the ground.

Shane Victorino: Sounds like you have a well sought out plan. You said submissions is his only chance of winning. You don't think he could win on the fight at all?

Hank McCoy: It's just the facts if it stays on the feet I win, rather it's decision, he taps to strikes, or gets knocked out cold I win. He knows it. If it goes to the ground there is a chance he still can't submit me, but he has a chance of it and the ability. It's not personal just facts Mr. Victorino.

Shane Victorino: Hey kid Shane is fine or really anything but Mr. Victorino it makes me feel to old. So anything else on the knockout?

Hank McCoy: Yeah unlike in most fights just because it is his only chance if I drop him and the ref are going to have to decide rather it's as they like to say in mma if ittttttt'sssss allllll ovveeerrrrr or not, because I'm going to wave him back up.

Shane Victorino: Sounds like this has a chance to be a bit brutal. All I have time for but get me a ticket.

Reinaldo Gracie

It does not matter what your style is: Gracie Jiu Jitsu is superior! If you don't h'espect the truth, you'll be forced to accept it. #GracieJiuJitsu

Highlight: Gracie vs Jam

Gracie is working to tighten his grip on Jam's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jam has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gracie is really squeezing tight and eventually Jam passes out! Gracie breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Reinaldo Gracie!

James Howlett in the cage after win over Wubbe De Klerk: First I want to thank all the fans out there who came and saw me flawlessly kick this guy's as* tonight. He had nothing on me. I love all you fans. But where is Everett Covington? I'll have my black belt in plenty of time before the fight happens. Let's go end of the year and show the fans what a true grappling battle looks like. Don't be a little b(Hank McCoy walks over and covers James' mouth)

Hank McCoy: I think what my good friend means to say is thank you for showing up, and thank you to his opponent who decided to fight him and he would be pleased to see who is the best grappler in the division.(McCoy and couple cornermen grab and carry James Howlett out of Hayashi's Lounge.)

BELLICOSE - Daverio vs Girith after fight in cage:

Slo Moegan: I'm here in the cage with tonight's Co-Main event winner! Hank walk everyone through some of the events of tonight's fight.

Hank McCoy: Man first things first everyone give it up for Doug Funny that is one tough guy! Secondly sorry about that accidental knee in the second I never would have done something like that on purpose. Alright as for some of the moments in the fight well that's a bit hard to say I landed virtually everything I threw. I mean look at the guy he's all beat up, the ref looked like he was going to step in and stop the fight. I kept looking over at him while striking like come one and stop this already. What happened in here tonight is a travesty for the sport.

Slo Moegan: You want to elaborate a bit on that? Are you not happy with the win?

Hank McCoy: Yeah I will elaborate on it and no I'm not happy. We something like this shouldn't happen. It's a ref's job to protect a fighter. It's a corner's job to protect their fighter. And no one was doing their job tonight Slo. I mean even look at the scorecard every judge scored the fight 30-25 giving me 2 10-8 rounds in a row. Do you know how hard it is to get a 10-8? And back to back and you are going to tell me this fight shouldn't have been stopped? Come on man. He never quit though. Like I said he's a warrior, but I'm sorry for hurting you like that brother you never should have taken that much damage.

Slo Moegan: Are you sure it should have been stopped? I mean he was in there enough to take you down twice.

Hank McCoy: The first which was at the very start of the round he actually took me down and I was surprised but I got right back up and wasn't down for 2 seconds. In wrestling they wouldn't have really called it a takedown but it is one in MMA and props to him for that. The second one he got I really let him. I just didn't want to hit the guy anymore for a while and the ref didn't seem like he cared about Funny. I mean you saw I was smiling every shot he landed the two minutes we were down there. He was so badly hurt that he really didn't have any power at all left. Then I decided to stand up and THREW him off. I could have done that at anytime. Yes it should have been stopped. Sure there are no cuts but look and see his leg all swollen and purple, his ribs are all bruised and his face is so swollen he looks like he is trying out for Mask the Rocky Dennison story remake.

Slo Moegan: I hear your brother. Is there anything you want to say to the division after your performance tonight?

Hank McCoy: Man Slo you know calling people out really isn't my style. I'll fight anyone. But division be on the lookout for Doug Funny that's a tough man and all heart. Ike Wellstone would you like to come down to Old School Training for a weekend and show me how the heck you got this man out of there? Good night everyone. Flying back to Hawaii tonight. Thanks for coming.

Slo Moegan: You heard it here first. Hank McCoy is the real deal and scary guy and true patriot of the sport. Everything he does he makes it look easy.

James Howlett twitter page: Got to the Old School Training gym this morning before school and we had a ceremony for me getting my black belt in BJJ. That's right youngest BJJ black belt in all of Bellicose right here.

Neiman Gracie: When are you and Covington going to mix it up? That MMA BJJ fight would be sick.

James Howlett: Working on it.

Carlton Messier: No one cares kid.

James Howlett: Shut up and get tapped.

Hank McCoy: Hey man congrats my brother on getting your black belt. Proud of you.

James Howlett: Thanks. We all knew it was coming though.

Porter Daniels: Grappling is for p**sies.

James Howlett: Come say that to my face you b*tch.

Jordan Caldwell: Wow a Canadian BJJ black belt at your age? Impressed.
