Contenders Weekly Washdown 2

07/11/22

Apologies sports fans, we've been away for a little bit and quite a bit has happened! Our first two Sunday Seshes have occurred, and up to DC 6 has come and gone. Let us recap mostly the last week with a little bit of coverage of other things around the org we've missed.

Card Results - Our first title decided! A new fastest KO record! New 135ers in the TWGC Finals!

The biggest news within the last week is that Dynasty Contenders had its first ever title fight, and what a thriller it was! A 145lb title fight between the hot streak of Ed Bridger and Baki Hanma fresh off a very impressive rounded win went to the judges in a split decision over 5 rounds, with Bridger just edging it on the cards. Both guys went all out in a war and left absolutely nothing in the tank. The final decision of 47:48, 49:47, and 47:48 in Bridger's favour came as a slight surprise to the commentary team, but it goes to show how little separated the two by the end. Hanma has been quoted saying "ya was robbed" afterwards and will no doubt be rearing for revenge in the future. Regardless, a big congrats to both guys for making our first title fight a memorable one!

In other cards/results, there were some big fights that have helped shape up divisions. At Sunday Sesh 2, a highly anticipated headliner bout between Jimmy Nitro and Attillio De Fiore ended quickly and brutally. Nitro has recently switched camps to the Hartwell Dungeon, under the emerging Rush Grayson, and has fully subscribed to the camp's style of 'ape PACE' to overwhelm opponents. Nitro quickly put De Fiore on the skates, before De Fiore, under instruction from veteran Alfredo, tried to slow down the pace by kicking Nitro right in the cup. A veteran move, but one that only made Nitro furiously stalk him down and finish him off to get a shot at the inaugural 185lb title vs Sonny Corleone Jnr and perhaps temporarily shelve his talk of a move to 205.

It wasn't all bad news for King Alfredo though, as his new talent Brady Orr put in a convincing performance vs former Pablo Spezziale product Nord Licht. Licht now under new management in Dean Mitchell put in a good performance and was arguably up on the scorecards before Orr put on the pressure and hit him with an impressive overhand right. Orr now heads into the inaugural 265lb title fight vs newcomer and former 300 FC champ and DMMA contender, Peter "The Potato" Kowalski.

Our 265+lb big boys continue to provide lots of entertainment with a whopping 8 fights occurring in the division since our last newsletter. All 8 fights ended in stoppages. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Among them was a very impressive submission by Randy Bobandy that saw him pull guard, reverse the position, and then get the tap in round 1 - proving big boys can also roll. However, it's hard to go past Fred Young's performance in Sunday Sesh 2. 5 second KO in the first round! A new record that's surely impossible to beat. The man has spent a total 40 seconds fighting in his 3 fight career. So what happens when we put the two most impressive 265+lb finishes together? We'll find out when they face off at DC 9!

And from the monsters, we go down to the 135ers. We've been working hard to flesh out this division a bit more, and would like to congratulate two of our new signings in Frank Dux and Verney Lapierre on both reaching the 135lb D2 Finals at TWGC 38 in New York. Both guys are yet to make their debuts for Contenders due to the timing of the TWGC, but we look forward to seeing what these clearly talented guys can do in our emerging division.

Other Big New Signings!

Here at Dynasty Contenders, we're always looking out for great additions to our roster. We've been blessed to sign many talented fighters and continue to do so. You are all really valued guys we are happy to have on our roster, because believe it or not, we don't simply offer contracts to everybody with a pulse! Continuing on our theme from just before highlighting some of our new 135 signings, we'd like to shine the light on some of our other new friends.

As our brand grows, we've managed to snag some huge names that fans and pundits alike will be salivating over. In the 145 division, we've got a guest appearance from Edwin Hubble out of the Monkey Magic stable. This is the former 18 year old 145 creation tournament winner who brought home over $1M in prize money, so he brings some real pedigree in his matchup vs Adam Bogo next weekend.

Island fans might recognise two of our other recent signings in Highland veteran Little "Bit" Late and VFC hall of famer Jack Dye. Both have signed on multi-fight deals with the organisation which may come as a surprise to some, but with the direction that our 170 division is going, it was agreed that there would be plenty of competitive fights for both. They are scheduled to collide at DC 10 which is emerging to be one of the org's most anticipated cards yet.

Other notable p4p additions to the family include Bellicose and BMF veteran Sammy Nyla stopping by to monitor the PACE of Phil Rivers, the aforementioned Kowalski returning to the Dynasty family, multi-org vet Ray Ruthlessness checking in,  former LAFC champ Simo Halli with fellow LAFC vet Barkeep Quark, and finally grappling wizard and TWGC 34 champ Katelynn Arby.

Upcoming Cards!

Our next card will be DC 7: Turgeon vs Thorn on the 12th of November. This is a stacked card in terms of talent from top managers with fighters fighting out of the camps of Pablo Spezziale, Mikey C, Joe River, Cope T, Jason Swanson, King Alfredo himself, and more. It also features a bit of a surprise inaugural 205lb title fight between the ambitious Grand Admiral Thrawn and the game Adam Orel. Dynasty Contenders admires the ambition of both guys and fully believe the eventual winner will be a great ambassador for the org.

The day after that, we head back to St. Petersburg for Sunday Sesh 3 starring the aforementioned guest Hubble and our inaugural 265+lb championship fight between Joel Christ and Make "Smesh Machine" Makkonen. We expect a banger of a fight and along with the other 265+ fights on the card for them to continue the streak of finishes the division has seen in recent times.

Dynasty MMA Weekend recap 11/13

Great weekend for fights as DMMA took over the H20 Arena in London for back-to-back fight cards.

DMMA Friday Night Fights XIII Saw two big fights that had Title implications in the Main and Co-Main events.

1667692699DMMA%20FNFXIII.jpg

Edward Grubbs upsets former Middleweight champion Ray Luciano via Unanimous Decision

Luciano decided to test his grappling skills in this encounter, unfortunately he struggled to keep the fight on the mat. Grubbs was not the most accurate fighter I've seen but he was the aggressor and it proved to be a big factor. Mix that in with Edwards ability to shut down the Clinch and grappling of Luciano and Grubbs cruised to victory.

Edward is now 6-1 in his second run with DMMA and will next face another former MW champ in Kareem Johnson in what will likely be his toughest test to date. With a potential Title shot riding on this one, the time is now for Mr. Grubbs.

Ramone Rocksaw spoils the debut Omer Demirci with a "KO of the Night" performance.

Rocksaw opened up a cut on the former ENIGMA MW title challenger Demirci, which played a huge factor in Ramone's pinpoint accuracy I would imagine. This win led to Ramone's 12th Performance bonus of his career and what a beauty it was as he Suderman'd that Ho. Omer Demirci did not have the debut he wanted I'm sure but there is still a ton of potential in this kid in my humble opinion.

Rocksaw has now won 5 of his last 6 fights and will look to get another big-time matchup at MW as he continues to inch closer and closer to getting back in the title picture.

Yar Bol bounces back with a Vicious KO of Dynasty Hall of Famer Charles Tucker.

Bol clipped Tucker late in round 2 and Charles may have not fully recovered in between rounds. Round 3 begins and BAMMMMMM....5 seconds in Yar Bol tags him with a Viciously vicious Hook that sent Tucker into a state of F##ked. Charles Tucker is still the most Dominant Light Heavyweight champ in Dynasty History and always brings the excitement to the cage, but now 4-6 in his last ten fights the question is will we see Tucker at the top again. His time of redemption would have to start now i would say if we ever see "Trip" as champion again.

Meanwhile another big win for Bol who has won 4 of his last 5 fights. Bol meets Dick Dennison next on 2022-12-03.

Co-Main Event

Ansis Kaupens defeats Kazuki Takeda by Unanimous Decision

After a slow start former Middleweight champ Ansis Kaupens found a way to neutralize the Ground game of a game Kazuki Takeda. Takeda took the first round with relentless Takedowns, landing three in the opening round which kept Ansis from getting any offense in. Kaupens though began to time his foes Takedowns early in round two which would ultimately wear Takeda down and earn him the victory.

Ansis will now fight for the Belt once again, against the man he beat previously for the title Macca Outback. For one man it's a shot at regaining his belt, for the other it will be a chance to avenge a previous loss while defending his newly captured title.

Main Event

Jason Hightower annihilates Patrick Kearney on the grand stage.

The Former King of the Heavyweight Division got himself back on track in Brutal fashion Friday night in London. Hightower had a big scare right as the fight began as Patrick Kearney countered a kick with a nicely timed Right hand that put Jason down just 10 seconds into the fight. Hightower quickly cleared those cobwebs and brought the fight to the clinch where he overwhelmed Kearney. The end came at just 2 minutes and 28 seconds into the fight as Hightower unloaded a Uppercut the put Patrick in a different time zone.

Next up for Hightower is a showdown with the current Heavyweight champ Adan Puno at DMMA 155. This DMMA 155 event is shaping up nicely and this Heavyweight Title fight will be one for the ages.

1667765833DMMA%20152.jpg

DMMA 152 went down yesterday at a jampacked H20 Arena, with two big Title fights on display.

Kratos Karumaa defeats Frank Rizzo in a back-and-forth battle at Bantamweight.

Kratos has looked excellent since his conversion to Finnishism going 2-1 under the guidance of Marky Mark. t wasn't an easy battle this Saturday night though as Frank Rizzo found much success with his takedowns as the two fighters head into the final round 1-1. Kratos did a good job of keeping himself out of any serious danger on the ground and proved to be the better striker as the two exchanged on the feet, in route to a Unanimous Decision verdict in his favor.

Kratos Karumaa has a potential title fight in the works against Marko Kersikov. This would be a rematch as the two fought in a non-title fight previously with the current Bantamweight champ Kersikov taking a UD.

Cormac Mac Airt outshines Galen Dall Jr as the two fight the full 15 minutes.

We saw two predominately ground fighters stand and bang for the majority of this fight as Mac Airt edged out Galen Dall Jr. Both men managed to score a takedown in the fight, but they clearly were looking to showcase their standup in this fight. In the end Cormac's volume and accuracy proved to be superior as he took a Unanimous Decision.

This fight was Cormacs first fight under his new management team and is now riding a 3-fight win streak. There is a fight under contract for Mac Airt but it has not been finalized yet.

Devonte Pinks outduels Shape Shifter in 3 round decision

Pinks outclassed Shifter on the feet, but Shifter clearly wasn't looking to box with "The War Cat". The BJJ Red belt was furious with his Takedowns and though he managed to control Pinks in the final frame it was too little too late as Shifter struggled to use any offense on the mat. Pinks lost that final round but showed his defensive grappling style can shut down even the top level BJJ artist.

Devonte is now 7-3 since his last Title challenge and if he can gain one more W, Pinks may very well be fighting for the belt for a third time. Nothing yet is lined up for Devonte but be ready cause the War cat will be back in the DMMA cage real soon.

Lightweight Championship

Jesse Pinkman successfully defends his title against former champion Aubrey Grant

Pinkman utilized all of his tools as he took a 5-rounder winning 4 of 5 rounds in route to a clear Decision victory over the former dominant champion Aubrey Grant. Grant was having more success with his kicks than his fist in this fight, but he could not get any real Rythm in as Pinkman continued to drag the fight to the clinch and to the mat. Jesse also held his own in the standup as he makes his first Title defense at Lightweight.

This sets up a showdown between Jesse Pinkman and DMMA Welterweight champ Jaxon Magrath at DMMA 156. What an opportunity for both of these men, for Pinkman it's a chance to beat the most Dominate fighter in Dynasty History and solidify his spot at the top of the p4p ranks. For Magrath just another feather under the cap of a guy whose credentials speak for themself.

Featherweight Championship

Renji Abarai edges Title Challenger Koa Bouddi for his 4th successful title defense

No grappling was needed in the Highlight fight of the Weekend that saw 4-time DMMA Featherweight champion outpoint Rising prospect Koa Bouddi. Bouddi proved he was ready for the deep waters of DMMA with his performance this weekend in London.  Bouddi was the much more accurate striker with his kicks in particular, but his Elbows in the clinch may have been his best weapon as he cut "The champ" up pretty good. Rengi though would not be upset as he nearly doubled Koa's strike count in route to a Unanimous Decision. This fight was awarded "Fight of the Night" and in fact was the fight of the Weekend.

This was Abarai's 13th Title fight of his career and let's give the man his props while he awaits his next challenge. In a losing effort hats off to Koa Bouddi hell of challenge indeed and with a little more time and expert training look for this youngster to continue to shine in the sport.

DMMA is in full force right now with The Dynasty Contenders promotion continuing to grow, thanks to the hard work form Crazy Horse. As we head to the end of 2022 big plans are in store, starting with some huge Title fights to come as we close out the year. There also will be an announcement towards the end of the year as DMMA will induct are first 5 Managers into the Dynasty Hall of Fame. 2023 will be a breakout year for DMMA and we will kick it off with a huge event DMMA 160 Live in Sydney!

DMMA Weekend Recap 11/20

And new and now two-time Dynasty Light Heavyweight Champion of the World..............Camaras Account

Account.jpg

Account regained his former prized possession in less than three months' time since dropping the belt to his old nemesis Constantin Niculescu. Camara opened up a cut on previous champ Vitali Kersikov I I early in the opening round which gave the champ all kinds of fits. Account was looking for the kill in round two, but the fight was eventually called off due to a cut. We have to tip are hats to the former champ Vitali who has now had his second fight stopped due to a little blood.

No rest for the wicked though as "Fourth Multi" has just signed a contract to fight DMMA newcomer Zekariays Solomon a former ENIGMA 205-pound champion with a 15-1-0 record professionally. This bout is scheduled for 2022-12-17.

In other DMMA news former Bantamweight champion Maurits Assndrop one a nailbiter against Lennart Hohenthal in London Saturday Night. Assndrop looks to be the next contender for the Bantamweight title as we await the outcome of Kratos Karumaa and current 135 pound champ Marko Kersikov at DMMA 155 Puno vs Hightower.

Friday Night there were some big shake ups at 145 as Shigeru Otori picked up a split decision verdict over former Lightweight champ Xylon Kofel. This was a big win for Oteri who will meet the most recent challenger for the belt at 145 next in Koa Bouddi this will determine who will be the next title challenger.

Sean O Malley has been fighting his way up and down the DMMA rankings at 145 for quite some time now, and last Friday in London all of his hard work prevailed as he took out former 145-pound champ Dmitri Kersikov via TKO Strikes in round two of their pivotal Co-Main event match. O Malley's victory and immediate Call out of World champ and DMMA Hall of Famer Renji Abarai resulted in the booking which will take place at DMMA 157 Account vs Solomon.

Finally in the Main event of DMMA Friday Night Fights XIV we saw Ralph Hall take a close Split Decision over Marcus Alexander in fight to see who will be in the Title eliminator at 170 for the soon to be vacant Welterweight belt. Hall will meet Gustav Harakka on 2022-12-10 in one of the eliminators. In the other Eliminator Get Wet About Don  faces Raminus Polus on 2022-12-02.

Up next DMMA 154 Panda vs Viikinki hits Amsterdam this weekend at the 209 Arena. Where the Super Heavyweight Title takes center stage and KT Panda is set to defend for 5th time against Tony Viikinki in a battle of the Bulging guts.

Contenders Weekly Washdown 3

25/11/22

Hello sports fans! We're back with another edition of the... Weekly (allegedly) Washdown! We'll probably have to come up with another name at some stage because I don't think I've ever actually made it a week between them. Anyway, onto the headlines!

Card Results - More inaugural titles decided! A potato fries the competition! 265+lb division finally goes to a decision! DC 9 sets a record pace and a record rating!

Well the biggest news out of the Dynasty Contenders camp is that in the weeks since our last entry, a whopping four different weight classes saw their inaugural champions crowned.

Leading the charge was our 205lb division between Adam Orel and Grand Admiral Thrawn. Both these contenders may have come as a slight surprise to some outside observation, but here at Dynasty Contenders we are all about providing opportunity to those who want it. Orel proved his game with a dominating win over the Admiral, with a massive knee shocking the crowd. He is scheduled to face Borowa Gora in his first defence at DC 12. As for Admiral, he seems to have spiralled into a deep depression with morale at an all time low. Here's hoping he gets some retail therapy to sort himself out before he takes on Rocco Bermalingo on the Sunday Sesh 5 card.

Over at the 155lb division, the slippery Dick Niaz managed to snare up a guillotine finish off his back to claim the title against the frustrated Rich Voss. Voss looked to be in control and engaged in some good top position control and gnp. However, Dick proved to be a hard customer to deal with and managed to snag the neck of Voss before he could erect himself out of there. Dick's first defence will be against the iron chinned Sammy Nyla who is fresh off brutally putting the brakes on THE PACE, Phil Rivers.

Getting to the big boys in the 265lb division saw The Potato, Peter Kowalski deep fry his opponent Brady Orr. In a fight that saw both fighters land at a high percentage for as long as it lasted, Kowalski dragged the action onto the mat and promptly made mash out of Orr. Kowalski is now an impressive two-org belt holder and will look to keep his DC title against Haw Thorn on the same thrilling card as Niaz vs Nyla!

And finally, our 265+lb title was also decided in a short and sweet battle between Joel Christ and Make Makkonen. Makkonen wasted no time and in extremely similar fashion to The Potato, took his opponent down and promptly made them one with the canvas via fists and elbows keeping up DC's exciting trend of finishes in our 265+ division. Unfortunately however, on the very same card, Dynasty Contender's streak of finishes in the 265+ div came to an end with a fight between Davis Gill and Audie Graham. Luckily for all of our fans, it was a close fight and demonstrated again that, perhaps quite shockingly, our big boys don't mind going for a roll. It's not just about fisticuffs on the feet!

Speaking about finishes though, DC 9: The Potato vs Orr saw 5248 rabid fans come out to Malmi Sportshall to witness our highest rating card to-date! Perhaps they were there to see how a Potato could actually fight, perhaps they were there to see famous grappler Katelynn Arby in MMA action, or maybe to see 265+lb finishing machines Fred Young and Randy Bobandy go hard at it. Whatever the case, they were treated to a card with NINE finishes, with only two fights (including the sole decision) reaching a third round and one other reaching the second. This card had some serious PACE particularly given we had two potentially 25minute fights on the card. Great fights, great finishes, wild ratings, and going home to bed early - a perfect day.

Poster Showcase!

A collection of posters of past (stretching a bit back) and future events, all previously not presented in the forums.

Upcoming Cards!

As per the above posters, we've got some really exciting events coming up. DC 10: Dye vs Late is going to be nuts! This card has some of our most popular fighters all in one place, under one roof. Jack Dye needs no introduction as the VFC Hall of Famer makes his organisational debut against fellow island alumni and fashionably late fellow: Little "Bit" Late. The super popular Padraig Ahearn takes on the rampaging Chad Billingsly, while the 185 title also gets decided with Jimmy Nitro bringing the pace while sporting a new look vs Sonny Corleone Jr. (no relation to Mentor is the official statement for child support purposes). This card is stacked! The fact the likes of former main event and title challenger Baki Hanma is on the undercard should tell you that you need to buy your tickets early because it's going to be a sellout!

Sunday Sesh 4 will see Manus Murphy run it back versus Panda Four with both guys wanting to stamp their case for being next in line for the 205lb title shot, while DC 11: Knightley vs White sees those two 185 titans going at it alongside TWO title fights. Ed Bridger attempts to make DC history and be the first fighter to defend his belt against Kloockz Diesel at 145lb, while Bobby Santino and Sam Diego both aim to become the org's first 170lb champion. You get a belt! You get a belt!

Ivan Dockhenko:  "After losing a fight to a decision that was wrong my previous team dropped me, after long talks I've come down to the terms of Heartless Team and agreed to move to Montreal so I can start training with the whole team, right now i'm writing this while I am travelling to Montreal, I am almost there, I will 100% start training tonight with the new team and I will be waiting for new challenges! I am ready, I will always be ready, do not expect me to fold anytime soon! I will hold the gold before 2024! Next year I have huge goals and I cannot wait to raise that belt and praise my new team!"

Zekariays Solomon

Not very often will a fighter come to Dynasty MMA and jump right in the Driver set of Title challenger, but due to inactive fighters and lack of a top contender at Light Heavyweight enter Zekariyas Solomon. That said Solomon is every bit worthy of this opportunity as a Former Dominant 205-pound champion of Enigma, Zek's 15-1 professional record speaks volumes about his resume. The Light Heavyweight showdown with Two-time DMMA Light Heavyweight champ Camaras Account will Headline DMMA 157 Account vs Solomon.

Terrance Graves- Graves was off like a rocket after signing his first DMMA contract winning 4 straight. Terrance though has struggled in his last two outings dropping back-to-back Unanimous Decisions. He will have his shot to get back on track and back in the top ten on 2022-12-24 as he meets the Hideous one Hideki Nakamura. With a win over current #2 ranked Ralph Hall, graves has already shown he has the potential to be at the top with the big guns at 170 pounds.

Jaxon Magrath- To say Unranked and mention the name Jaxon Magrath is a bit of disrespect, but this just gives me a reason to spotlight the DMMA Hall of Famer. Magrath has defended his DMMA Welterweight championship an amazing 12 times total, and now eyes a championship in a new division of 155 pounds. The meeting with current champ at Lightweight Jesse Pinkman will take place in just a few weeks on 2022-12-10 in what looks to be an amazing night of Fights.

Ilari Rahamies- Ilari Rahamies has had his ups and downs as of late in this DMMA Featherweight division. On the bright side though he has never been finished that includes two KT fights as well, and Ilari is always going to bring his A game under the keen eye of Marky Mark his corner man. Rahamies just needs a couple wins to turn the tables and get himself in some of the big fights in the division. Time will tell if the 27-year-old has the goods to be a champ one day.

Jim Lahey - "Gentle" Jim Lahey has seen success early in his career winning the BKFC Featherweight title at just at just 20 years of age. At 26 years of age now Jim has struggled quite a bit, losing his last two fights by first round KO. Word on the streets is Lahey is back on the Liquor, and Hes on it hard. He's been sighted several times at the Deep Waters Gym in New York drunk as a skunk with his face in a funk. We hope to see a full recovery, but it looks like the Liquor has let ol Jim Down RIP.

“First order of business, the middleweight division of Dynasty Contenders is now on notice, I’ve got a list of names and I’m gonna start crossing them out one by one. Once I’ve cleared out that division I’m going to move up to 205, I’m going to rip the belt off of whatever walking corpse is holding it at the time, and then I’m going to do the same thing in that division. After that, when the dust clears and there’s nobody left to fight, I’ll head to Dynasty Prime and do it all over again.

It doesn’t matter who you are, sooner or later the name Nitro will strike panic into your heart and will be your waking nightmare until I mercifully put you to sleep.

The reign of ‘King James’ begins now.”

145    Kristof Pardi vs Satoshi Ekaku

155    Jacob White vs Rokken Roll

265+ Puncher Face vs Alistair Ubereem

Main Card

Middleweight Division

Eric Distefano vs Zachary Klimenko

Eric Distefano will be making his 16th DMMA appearance, and he is coming in off an electrifying KO win at that. Distefano found success early in his career winning the BLAZE Middleweight championship in just his 6th pro fight. He has battled consistency though going 7-8 in his DMMA career. Zachary "Azoz" Klimenko on the other hand will be making his DMMA debut. Much like his opponent, Klimenko tasted success early in his career as former SICKNESS Light Heavyweight champ. Zachary had a somewhat rocky run recently for LAFC going 1-2 but he will look to start fresh and get back to his Violent ways with DMMA this Friday.

Both of these guys have proved there point in the past that they are simply looking to knock your block off so be ready for some bombs.

Light Heavyweight Division

Seppo Ilmarinen vs Anthony Lalime

Seppo Ilmarinen is a two-time Dynasty Light Heavyweight Title challenger falling short in both of his bouts to the same guy the current champ Camaras Account. His last fight will Account though, has led to a rough 4 fight skid that he will be looking to break. Seppo has wins over names like Hasselhoff, Yar Bol, and even the Hall of famer Charles Tucker. Anthony Lalime steps into the Dynasty cage for a 13th time going 6-6 with the company. Anthony is also looking to break free of losing streak of his own.

This is crucial for both of these guys, who are looking to get their careers on track.

Middleweight Division

Hendrix Cabrera vs Gee Gutsu

Hendrix Cabrera has been red hot since joining Dynasty MMA going a perfect 4-0. Cabrera is a name i know very well as he was a participant in the League of Madness season 2, where he went on to meet Vinicius Kicklighter in the finals of the Middleweight Tournament. Now 26 years old and looking sharp Hendrix is looking to shine. He will have his hands full though this Friday as he meets submission specialist Gee Gutsu. Gutsu has been a Mainstay here at DMMA but seems to fall struggle in the big fights. regardless though be ready for Gutsu as the man has won all 12 of his victories by way of Submission.

Cabrera is primarily a striker but has a Sensational wrestling base, Expect the Black belt to test his wrestling abilities early and often.

Co-Main Event

Middleweight Division

Segundo Garcia vs Salomon Mukunzi

Former Middleweight champion Segundo Garcia is set to take to the cage again after losing his recent title in a well fought 5 round Unanimnous decision to Macca Outback. Garcia is now 11-4 as a pro and has yet to be Knocked out and only finished once in his career by Submission. Segundo also has a liking for "Fight of the Night" awards as he managed to win 5 straight at one point. Salomon Mukunzi is currently riding a 3-fight win streak as he looks to get himself back in title contention. Mukunzi fell short at DMMA 78: Johnson vs Mukunzi against former champ Kareem Johnson. If Salomon can get past another former champ in Garcia this weekend, I would expect to see him in prime position for another title opportunity.

Both of these 185ers are well versed fighters who prefer the standup. Considering the level of competition in this one I wouldn't be surprised if this goes the distance as both men look to put their name out there for #1 contender.

Main Event

Welterweight Division

Get Wet About Don vs Raminus Polus

Friday Nights Main event is a Welterweight Title Eliminator.

"Gwad" Get Wet About Don made his Dynasty debut back in May and quickly collected 3 straight wins. This 3 fight win streak was good enough to earn Gwad his very first MMA title shot as he challenged Jaxon Magrath in a losing effort. Don bounced back in his most recent fight though beating Gwynn Evans by Unanimous Decision in a "FOTN" performance. Now with Magrath stepping down to 155, this leaves the door wide open, and we will soon see if Gwad can slip right through. Standing in his way will be a guy who at this point will be looking to bust through that damn door head first in Raminus Polus. Polus has gone 0-4 in title fights two of which were losses to Magrath. "Battlemage" is now 20-9 in his pro career and has all the tools to capture that belt, but it won't come easy this Friday Night in London he will need be at his very best i assure you.

Both of these fighters and fight teams know what is at stake, and both have very diverse skill sets. Now it's time to see who has the winning gameplan and who will move on to the Title fight on 1-1-2023!

Dynasty Weekend Primer(Part 2)

DMMA 155 Puno vs Hightower

Prelims

265 Klaus Tannenbaum vs Sovor Trandel

170 Boyka Kersikov vs Dag Schotel

155 Champ Johnson vs Motshan Bogachev

205 Gage Bennett vs Moritz Zimmerman

170 Robert Helpmann vs Kwasi Kwong

Main Card

Middleweight Division

Benji Torres vs Apollo Rocky

Opening up the Main card this Saturday night Benji Torres returns at 185 and currently has dispatched his last two opponents via TKO. Benji has jumped around in weight quite a bit in fact he did start his career at 185 then dropped to 170 and again to 155 before returning to 185. Torres has had his most success at welterweight where he battled for the championship belt in a loss to Jaxon Magrath. Apollo Rock is back for his 2nd appearance inside the DMMA cage after sweet Knee TKO that snapped the unbeaten streak of Tom Korppila at DMMA 151. Rocky now is cruising along on 7 fight win streak, with only one of those wins going the distance to boot. If Apollo can get past the San Bernardino Bad Boy Benji Torres, look for this 24-year-old stud to be in a big #1 contender bout next.

Light Heavyweight Division

Paavali Kontiainen vs Duck Dodgers

Paavali Kontiainen makes his 17th DMMA appearance this Saturday in London and will be looking to get back in the win column. Kontianen continues to seek his first title opportunity in his career, he has just fell short in the big fights unfortunately. One thing is for sure though, Paavali is a Deadly striker with 9 or his 11 victories being KO or TKO's. The man from Vantaa Finland is always looking to entertain the crowd as well and i suspect he will look to add to his Performance bonuses this weekend. Paavali will meet a Rising prospect at 205 in the name of Duck Dodgers who has a perfect 3-0 record going since signing with Dynasty. Dodgers took some time off from MMA to spend time honing his grappling skills for the CWC grappling promotion. Interestingly Duck's first two MMA fights were against former DMMA Light Heavyweight champ Constantin Niculescu were the two split the series 1-1. Duck looks to collect his 7th win in a row at DMMA 155 and this may be his biggest test to date.

Bantamweight Championship

Marko Kersikov vs Kratos Karumaa

Marko is looking to successfully defend his recent Bantamweight Championship this week putting away the former champ Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu with just one brutal punch. Kersikov is known as the Runt of the Kersikov twins but follows in their path by capturing Dynasty gold joining Dmitri, Vitali, and Andrei. Kratos has looked rejuvenated since his converting to Finnishism going 2-1 under his new Team at the FF Forever Headquarters. Karumaa started his career at 155 but has since cut down to Bantamweight were he has spent his last 5 fights. Kratos is a fun fighter for the fans as well winning 5 "Fight of the Night" awards. These two are no strangers either by the way as this will be there fourth meeting with Marko in the lead 2 to 1.

Co-Main Event

Light Heavyweight Division

Yar Bol vs Dick Dennison

the Native of Sudan, Yar Bol has now won 4 or his last 5 bouts, all of which were finishes. Bol is a one-time title challenger at Light Heavyweight coming up on the losing side against former champ Charles Tucker. He did however recently avenge that loss to Tucker with a 3rd round TKO victory. Bol is a big-time player at 205 and a win here should put him back in the running for the belt. Former Heavyweight Dick Dennison has looked solid at 205 going 3 and 1 in his new division. Dennison has brought his Heavyweight Punching power down along with him as he has finished all three of his victims at 205 with it. Dick "So Hard" will now have an opportunity to put his name on the map at 205 if he can get by Mr. Bol.

Main Event

Heavyweight Championship

Adan Puno vs Jason Hightower

Adan Puno made the big time Last month at DMMA 151 Fukumitsu vs Kersikov stunning the former champ Hjallis Kalske with a vicious Uppercut in round three of their scheduled 5 rounder earning his first Championship. Puno is the son of legendary MMA fighter Kajun Puno and the brother of Jeronimo Puno. Puno has now finished his last four opponents with sick KO victories as he heads into his first Title Defense. Some title Defense it is to as he meets the former Dominant champ at Heavyweight Jason Hightower. Former KT World Champion Hightower is now 12-2 in the world of MMA with 4 successful Title Defenses here at DMMA. Which is the most for a Heavyweight Champion currently since the promotions beginning. Jason is now training with Some of Dynasty's best down at Blacktalians MMA as looks to bring yet another belt home to the Team.

Come one, come all, and get your balls off the walls of the H20 arena because we Fightin! The ol Doucher ,Douche T. McBaggins has been beating down the Doors here at Dynasty MMA so expect the fake drunken Irishman to make his long-awaited return to the Editoral team in the near future. Just need to get him extremely drunk for the Show.

Stay Tuned.

When Zachary Klimenko isn't busy fighting the ruskies in his home country of Ukraine, he's knocking out fighters at Dynasty MMA.

Originally brought into Convicted Fight Club as a sparring partner for some of the younger generation, he couldn't give up fighting and decided to compete on the regional scene in LAFC.

He was searching for fighters, but he found Californians, and like all Californians, the fighters there were into a lot of hugging and man-on-man action. He didn't enjoy competing there because of the homosexuality and too many inter-racial relationships.

So once his LAFC days were over, he signed with Dynasty MMA to throw some hands with less-gay fighters who were willing to stand and bang, not roll around on the ground and oil check each other. Because standing and banging is much less gay.

In his Dynasty debut that monster right hand of his earned him a meager $7500 knockout of the night bonus. When Zachary was asked what he planned on doing with that bonus, he said he'll donate it to a Ukranian orphanage in Kyiv.

"Free the Ukraine!" Zachary shouts into the mic in front a very woke closeted crowd of 19,000 Brits in the H20 Arena. The crowd responded with cheers and feminine claps.

As for what's next for Klimenko, he was determined to get back to the front lines and dispel the enemy invaders.

"I want to fight Pavel Kostov." Klimenko says with a fiery look in his eyes. "He's the only Russian commie I could find in the division. Russian verse the Ukraine. Let's give the Americans and Chinese what they want to see!"

14b7.jpgMixed Martial Arts Fighter - Jason Hightower@Mannetosen

Puno Power: Adan Puno KO's Jason Hightower

Fighter profile of Adan Puno by Papi Rojo

Shots fired! Officer down!

In the main event of the evening at DMMA 155 the London fans were in for a treat, when they witnessed a legacy fighter in tip top shape competing at the highest level. Forged at Tosen's Home of Lost Boys in Rio, Adan Puno (10-2 MMA), son of Kajun (31-9 MMA, 1-0 KT), grandson of Fidel (34-8 MMA), brother of Jeronimo (24-10 MMA), was defending his Dynasty Heavyweight championship verse Jason Hightower (12-3 MMA, 13-1 KT), the former Heavyweight champion and K1 superstar who was once in line for a title shot against Kilo Maluga.

This fight wasn't even remotely as competitive as advertised. Defending his Heavyweight title in fashion, Adan Puno dominated from start to finish (for the entire 2 minutes this fight lasted), polishing off the challenger with an uppercut from hell that left Hightower motionless on the canvas.

With the victory Adan Puno advances to 10-2 in MMA with 8 of his wins coming by way of knockout. A granite chin possessing the power of the Puno tribe in his hands and feet, he's a destructive force of nature and if the referee wasn't coherent enough to stop the fight, Puno would skull fuck his opponents faces until there was no bone fragment left, whilst the while drooling from the froth like a savage. Fortunately for his opponents, Steve Mazigatti is retired and Adan usually puts opponents to sleep more effective than a NyQuil and fentanyl cocktail with the infamous "Puno Death Punch".

The notorious "Puno Death Punch" is refined in Manila from an early age with a vigorous training routine that involves lifting rocks, throwing rocks, and punching out crocodiles. Some often criticize this ancient family tradition as being a primitive ritual with no scientific proof of effectiveness, but time and time again the Puno clan has managed to churn out sons with legendary Filipino power.

One would wonder what is next for the former champion after his 2nd title fight loss in his last 3 fights. Jason Hightower drops to 12-3 in MMA after getting his world rocked by Adan Puno and many fans are clamoring if his recent change in management was the best decision for his career.

If we're being honest, we don't quite care about what happens to Jason Hightower and this moment is all about the upcoming Puno prodigy. Adan Puno was humble in victory, but had to remind the fans and Hightower of one concrete rule over here at Convicted Inc: FUCK THE POLICE.

DMMA Friday Night Fights XVI Live at the H20 Arena in London, England

Prelim Results

265+ Hero Primo Defeated Sheikh Mahmut via 3rd round Submission (Armbar)

205 Rich Mahogany Defeated Edd Norton Via Unanimous Decision

185 Iner Raledran Defeated Fela Kuti via 1rst round Submission (Triangle) (Sub of the Night)

265 Tarik Oren Defeated Patrick Turgeon via 1rst round KO (Punch) (KO of the Night)

265+ Tiago Lima Defeated Charlie IV via 1rst round KO (Punches)

Main Card

Lightweight Bout

Cormac Mac Airt Defeated Kra Hang 2nd round TKO (Strikes)

"The Boogeyman" continues his winning ways as he collects his 4th straight victory and 2nd straight under his new management team. He did so with an impressive win over the former Lightweight champion Kra Hang at that. Hang looked sharp in Round 1, as Mac Airt looked to pull guard for the most part. Mac Airt though may have been using that guard pull as a distraction and almost midway through round 2 he landed a nice combo that turned the tables. After a failed clinch attempt from Hang, Cormac lined up another nice combo that sealed the deal, winning the bout via TKO Strikes at 3:32 in round #2.

Super Heavyweight Bout

Vern Vurris Drew with Don Cortez

The next bout was a bit of a Surprise in many ways, first off how these two Behemoths go all 15 minutes? The answer to that is both of these Men have the conditioning of true warriors. The second question is did the judges score this one correctly? This question there  is no real answer to. I think it could have very well gone to Cortez, but it could have gone to Vurris as well. So maybe a Draw was a good outcome. Vurris was slightly more accurate, but Cortez was the aggressor. Vern had two Successful Takedowns in the fight, but it was Cortez who got the better of his opponent on the mat. That said Cortez Management with true warrior spirit has mentioned he wanted a rematch, and the fight offer is currently on the table.

Lightweight Bout

Aubrey Grant Defeated Chike Obi via a Unanimous Decision

Another former Lightweight champion in Aubrey grant took to the cage next as he looked to get back on track after dropping his belt to the current champ Pinkman. Aubrey showcased his skills to perfection Friday Night in London mixing his strikes in route to a dominant Unanimous Decision verdict. His opponent Chike Obi was having little success in the standup, and might have had better luck with his grappling where he did ground Grants striking abilities a little with the ol handy dandy clinch and pull guard technique. Grant now will jump right back in saddle and face Jesse Pinkman for the Lightweight title once again. On the Stacked New Year's Day event at the Sydney Superdome.

Co-Main Event

Middleweight bout

Ramone Rocksaw Defeated Pavel Kostov via 2nd round TKO (Strikes)

In the Co-Main Event Former CWMMA Middleweight champ and DMMA MW title challenger Double R rallies for an impressive 2nd round finish of Pavel Kostov. Rocksaw is now a winner of his last three bouts all of which have been T(KO) finishes. Rocksaw used his counter punches nicely and they ultimately were the deciding factor in the scrap. Ramone is now on the hot seat as the 27-year-old will look to be in a potential #1 contender fight next, as he hopes to finally get back in title contention. Meanwhile for Pavel it was a tough loss, that snapped a nice two fight win streak of his own. Kostov already has a date for his next showdown as the Russian looks to an all out war against Ukranian born Zachary Klimenko at the New Years event.

Main Event

Bantamweight bout

Koos Van Asch Defeated Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu (Fight of the Night)

The Main Event for Friday Night Fights XVI pitted two former Dynasty champions who both looked to put their names back atop the Bantamweight rankings. Former Featherweight champ Koos Van Asch picked up his 2nd win in his new weight class via Unanimous Decision. Koos had Fukumitsu in all kinds of trouble late in round two but the Japanese fighter full of heart and pride was not going down without a fight. Van Asch was having his most Succes with his leg Kicks landing 17 out of 19 there as he unloaded everything he had at the challenger. As for former Bantamweight champ Yoshimitsu Fukumitsu his gameplan was clearly to Snipe his opponents head the entire fight which he had a hard time landing strikes with this method. Van Asch was eagerly looking to finish this fight but props to Yoshi for keeping the fans on their feet the remainder of the bout. Van Asch now looks to be lined up against another former champion in Mauritz Assndrop, although this fight is not confirmed at this time.

Stay Tuned as we look to recap DMMA 156 next.........
